If you are a heavy drinker and smoker, you are ready to snoring at night. The alcohol you consume, make you sleep deeply and there before relax completely, so much so that your muscles relax too much. Smoking on the other hand is a great cause of phlegm, which can cause multiple infections. When you have a throat infection or even a common cold, your muscles around your throat swells a bit and when it swells, it restricts your airflow, causing you to snore.

Other common causes of snoring are hay fever, excess weight, the way you sleep and lazy throats muscles. Normally it is people over thirty who tends to snore, but some babies can snore as well. If you have a snoring baby, you should rather let a doctor check him or her out, as it can mean that there is something stuck in their nose.
