Improve Vision Naturally – How to Cure Glaucoma Naturally

While most people are familiar with the term "glaucoma," not many people know exactly what it is, so what is glaucoma? Glaucoma is a deteriorating vision problem which is caused by excess strain on the eyes. While the cause may sound as if those who have glaucoma are in pain, the truth is that most people who are diagnosed with it do not even know or feel their symptoms. If you are diagnosed with this condition, it can be a frightening experience, mainly due to the fact that the first indications do not show up until it is too late to fix the problem. As soon as vision quality starts to deteriorate, there is no way to reverse its effects.

Tunnel vision and having a narrow line of sight are the first symptoms which manifest themselves. There is not much room to improve or repair this, as they quickly progress to the final stage of glaucoma – blindness.

Doctors believe that glaucoma is caused by bad circulation around the eye sockets, clogged channels, andadequate drainage of the eyes. These factors are generally caused excess mental stress, eye strain, and high levels of toxins present in the body.

The only "cure" for glaucoma is not really a cure at all, but just medication which is given to treat the symptoms, but not cure the problem. The medication works to relieve tension and increase drain from the eyes. Unfortunately, the majority of people diagnosed with glaucoma still become blind. The medicine is given to allow the patient to see a little while longer, adding life to the vision cycle, until blindness historically sets in.

Because glaucoma is mainly brought on by stress, the stress will not stop once the disease is diagnosed. More often than not, stress levels get higher because many patients are overly concerned by the threat of going blind, which is inevitable. All too often, sufferers of this disease occupy themselves daily with these stressful thoughts and make the symptoms markedly worst.

All patients of glaucoma should receive medical attention as blindness is unavoidable. With this in mind, there are also many things that sufferers can do, taking precautions to cure the symptoms yourself by relaxing the eyes. Each night when you go to sleep, make sure to relax completely before you go to sleep. When you are in bed, close your eyes, and create a mental image of your muscles becoming more relaxed from head to toe. Do your best to try and concentrate especially on the areas and muscles around the eye sockets. By doing this, you will unduly wake up more refreshed, and releasing a lot of pressure which leads to blindness.

While having glaucoma is certainly scary thing to think about, learning how to put the eyes at ease is the best natural way to cure this vision-threatening condition.

Rash From Masturbation: Causes, Treatment and Prevention

Everyman has no doubt gotten a little overzealous at some point in his life and masturbated until he wound up with a red penis and a lot of discomfort. Sometimes it’s just high drive, other times it’s boredom, and other times, well, sometimes it’s just because it’s really fun to do. No matter the reason, a rash from masturbation can be quite painful and inconvenient and isn’t just a result from too much self-pleasure. Let’s dive into the cause, how to treat a rash from masturbation, as well as how to prevent one in the first place.

Causes of a Rash from Masturbation

There are several reasons why a man can find himself with a rash from masturbation. Here are a few:

1) Too much solo-time. Too much self-gratification can lead to an angry red rash and chafed skin.

2) No lube. If a man rubs himself raw when self-pleasuring it can be because he forgot to lube up and went dry. This can cause excessive friction on the skin which leads to a rash. This can also lead to long-term nerve damage as well.

3) New lube. Maybe he lubed up, but it was a new lubricant he’d never before use. This could mean he’s allergic or sensitive to the ingredients. Be sure to use a product with as many natural ingredients as possible and be sure to do a patch test on the inner elbow or inner wrist before putting them in more private places.

4) Skipped Clean Up. Some men don’t do an ample clean up after enjoying self-pleasure. This can lead to bacteria build-up, smegma, and infections.

Treating a Rash from Masturbation

Once a red penis arises, it’s good to follow these tips below to clear up that rash and get on the road to recovery.

1) It’s time to call a flag on the play and take a knee. No more activity of any kind for the red member while healing. Continued horsing around can lead to greater pain, infection, and tears in the skin which lead to scar tissue and rob a man of sensation down the line.

2) Give Big Red a thorough, but gentle cleansing. Be sure to use warm water and a mild cleanser like a baby wash or shampoo. Rinse thoroughly as well.

3) Pat dry with a soft towel.

4) Cold compresses can help with discomfort and heat. Simply soak a soft washcloth in cool water, wring out, and then place on the penis. Continue refreshing the cloth as needed.

5) Wear loose, breathable fabrics to give the penis room to breathe and heal.

Preventing a Rash from Masturbation

There are a few common-sense ways to prevent a rash from masturbation. First, practice moderation when self-pleasuring and be aware of its effects on the penis. Second, don’t self-love without some sort of lubricant. Third, be sure to patch-test all-new lubricants prior to putting them on the penis. Conduct a test by putting the product on the inner wrist or inner elbow and waiting to see if there is any reaction after a period of time.

Finally, be sure to have a tried-and-true hygiene routine which includes daily penile care. This means carefully washing the penis with warm water (not hot!) and a mild cleanser. Be sure to wash all areas and get in all the folds and creases. Rinse well and air dry or pat dry with a soft towel. After cleansing the skin, a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) should be applied. Nutrient creams that are designed specifically for the penis should contain ingredients such as vitamins A, C, D, and E, which are noted for their skin-soothing and healing properties, helping to heal rashes as well as prevent them in the future. In addition, men should look for a product containing a natural skin conditioner such as Shea butter, which red, itchy skin on contact and leaves it hydrated, agile and less prone to future drying and itching. Be sure to repeat this hygiene protocol after every self-love session.

Orthostatic hypotension (OSH) is condition in which the postural changes (lying to sitting or standing) that results to a decrease in one’s blood pressure causing dizziness. According to some medical literature, the decrease can be greater than 30mmHg from the average of 120/80mmHg in a healthy adult.

Our body is so programmed that it has blood vessels that constrict in the lower extremities to keep the blood pressure and make certain adequate perfusion in our body organs, especially heart and brain during standing up or getting up from lying position. Due to prolonged immobility sessions, the response from blood vessels becomes inactive. As a result blood pressure drops and perfusion is compromised, person feel light-headed or faint in many cases. To compensate and protect the brain from inadequate supply of blood, the heart rate increases. There are many other symptoms which can be caused due to OSH like the malfunction in the autonomic nervous system, diabetes, dysautonomia, and atherosclerosis. It can either be as a response to some drug side affects like in case of alpha blockers (vasodilators), diuretics and analgesics. Orthostatic hypotension signs increases with age.

Orthostatic hypotension can be controlled in a number of ways. There are certain medications to maintain the fluid and improve constriction of the blood vessels. Proper hydration can also be of great help. You can manage orthostatic hypotension by rising slowly from bed, gently sloping on your sides and sitting up calmly and eventually hanging or dangle your feet down to bed. This can help to give ample time to blood vessels to constrict well.

Recurring Headache Causes

When it comes to repeating headache causes, the most common is migraine. See if you have two of the following symptoms for migraine headaches:

  • Throbbing headache lasting 4-72 hours
  • Light others you
  • Loud sounds or strong smells like perfume, bother you.

Additionally you probably have one of the following:

  • Nausea and / or vomiting
  • Loss of appetite during the headache
  • Vertigo (or dizziness)

If so the diagnosis is migraine. The MOST common cause is something you and I can control. Hey who knew? It's STRESS. Yup, good old, plain old stress! We all have stress..everyone has it but the key is how do you manage it? Do you exercise regularly to relieve stress or is your idea of stress relief sitting on the couch watching TV?

Cluster Headache Cluster headaches, are a second recurring headache cause and often mostly in men. They tend to last less than two hours. Spring and Fall seem to be the most popular times for this and every year the clinics will be crowded with cluster headaches patients coming in.

Cervicogenic Headache Another cause of headache that many are unfamiliar with, is cervicogenic headache. Now wait a minute! What are these big medical terms! Simply put: it's a pain in the neck. Literally. Many times simple lifestyle changes and a short course of medicine relieves the problem. This headache is closely related to tension headache.

Analgesic Rebound Headache Additionally, there is over use of over the counter medications like Tylenol Sinus or Excedrine Migraine. These medications used more than three times a week are a definite cause of repeating headache. One in particular that I refer to is the Claritin D Sinus Headache. When in pain you will reach for anything to take the headache away.

With over use, now the condition is analgesic rebound headache syndrome. This can be one of the most difficult to treat recurrence headache causes.

Trigeminal Neuralgia Although somewhat rare, trigeminal neuralgia can reoccur years after the first bout of neuralgia. What is neuralgia? Just means pain in a nerve. Specifically the nerve which runs along the side of the face and the jaw.

Most of the time this is provoked by a virus or dental work but sometimes the cause is unknown.

Additional Causes of Recurring Headache You can not forget about the food items in our environment now that cause headaches. Many foods contain chemicals to enhance flavor, MSG being the most famous, which provoke heads. Caffeine overuse is another migraine trigger.

  • Headache and food triggers
  • Caffeine and headaches.
  • Overuse of opiods with addiction.

Jaw and tooth problems can also cause repeating headaches. These are best managed by a dentist. If you feel you are suffering from TMJ symdrome, a dentist who specializes in this problem is the best person to help you. These conditions can include:

  • Temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ)
  • Dental abcesses
  • Post extraction infections
  • Dental caries
  • Poor fitting denture

Ear, nose and throat disorders can refer to the head and provoke migraines and headaches. A thorough evaluation for heads should rule out:

  • Sinus problems
  • Trauma such as perforated eardrum
  • Chronic ear infections
  • Rare tumor of the inner ear: schwannoma

Obviously the key here is to find a good physician or practitioner who can help you sort out your headache profile.

How to Treat Glaucoma With Acupuncture

Glaucoma is a condition of the eye in which if not treated early can lead to blindness. Since there is no pain or other symptoms, it usually remains undetected until vision is impaired. Peripheral vision is lost when the optic nerve gets damaged due to the increase in IOP or intraocular pressure. Eye drops and laser surgery can be used to control eye pressure. Laser surgery can help lower eye pressure for a certain percentage of patients, but patients need more surgery after a few years if the root cause of glaucoma is not addressed. If a patient has had more than two surgeries, usually scar tissue builds up and the pressure cannot be lowered by surgery easily. So many people prefer to try a non-invasive procedure at first, especially if eye pressure is not very high. One of these methods is acupuncture for glaucoma, which is a traditional and ancient form of Chinese medicine.

How Acupuncture Lowers Eye Pressure

If the patient has been diagnosed with glaucoma in its early stages, then acupuncture and acupressure can be very effective. In the later stages of glaucoma, it is better to combine eye drops with acupuncture and acupressure. The insertion of fine needles improves circulation of fluids around the eye without causing dry eyes or infection, if done by an experienced acupuncturist. Especially when patients already have a few laser surgeries and eye pressure is still very high, then acupuncture two to three times a week may be the best choice.

Acupuncture Takes Care of Overall Health of the Eye

Acupuncture also helps to improve vision and slow down degeneration of the optic nerve. Acupuncture for glaucoma supports the function and integrity of the optic nerve. The optic nerve usually is damaged because blood flow to the eyes decreases. Acupuncture increases retrobulbar circulation which helps not only in decreasing intraocular pressure but also speeding up fluid circulation in and out of the eyes. Researchers have found that even the visual acuity in people suffering from glaucoma can be improved when at least a couple of sessions of acupuncture are done every week.

Acupuncture and Acupressure with Medicines Offer Faster and Better Results

Most experts recommend those patients suffering from glaucoma consider going for a few sessions of acupuncture every month, because eye drops can cause severe dryness and reduce fluid circulation around the eyes. Clinically, when patients go to see an acupuncturist at least once a week and practice acupressure every day once or twice, they can lower the eye drop dosage to prevent dryness and infection in their eyes. Furthermore, patients reported vision acuity improved by combing glaucoma acupuncture and eye drops. The needles that are inserted are retained for about 30 minutes around eyes, neck, hands and feet, and the depth of the insertion is about 3-10mm.

For Stroke Victims – Recover From Stroke Starting Today

When the blood in the brain is reduced or cut off for some reason, a medical complication can happen – stroke. Strokes can be very devastating for people because they can ruin the rest of your life. There are many problems that people can experience after having a stroke which includes difficulties in breathing, loss in the use of their arms and legs, and having problems with their speech. Many of these people often have to go weeks or even months of physical therapy in order to recover from stroke.

The main reason that these symptoms happen is because when blood flow is stopped in a specific area of the brain, neural connections that are damaged and many neurons in this area die. These connections are those that control all of these functions (walk, speech, vision …). There is a new medicine available that helps the brain to form new neural connections over a period of time. This enables stoke recovery for the sufferers. The main attribute that stroke victims need to understand is that although there are alternative medicines that can help in recovery, a proper rehab program is still cruel.

You should start your rehab program right away as soon as you are discharged from the hospital. Hospitals should have onsite rehab programs and you can choose to go through the exercises there. During the rehab program, family members should accompany the patients to give them moral support. Stroke patients need lots of encouragement, especially from family and friends, in order to have a speedy recovery.

Recovery from a stroke does not take one day or a week. It takes consistent effort from the patient, as well as support from family and friends. Patients should not lose hope because with a consistent rehab program in place, as well as stroke medications, (not true, some patients will never recover / or very poor recovery)

How to Treat Glaucoma – Some Tips You Need to Know

Glaucoma is the No 2 cause of blindness worldwide after cataracts. Glaucoma attacks the optical nerve and causes chronic and progressive deterioration. The disease is diagnosed by testing eye pressure. While blindness caused by cataracts is generally curable, this is not the case with glaucoma. That is why it is very important to know how to treat Glaucoma.

People who have glaucoma have to undergo lifetime treatment to avoid blindness. Of course, this long treatment will cost a lot of money. Many people can not afford this kind of treatment.

The vision of people with glaucoma usually deteriorates over time due to disruption to the optic nerve as indicated by elevated eye pressure. Glaucoma attacks people 40 years old and over. The disease can be inherited from parents or grandparents.

Using steroids, such as certain eye drops, asthma inhalers and rheumatism or arthritis medicines, can make a person susceptible to the disease. Those with severe cases of myopia and hypermethropia, diabetes mellitus, hypertension or migraine can also develop glaucoma.

Symptoms of Swine Flu

Have you or someone you know got Swine Flu? Would you know if they had it? Would you know what to do about it? You would have to be living on the moon to not have heard about Swine Flu, this potentially fatal flu has seen people panic, become fearful, paranoid and more. The best course of action to take of course is to get to know about it, become familiar (theoretically of course) with the flu's symptoms.

Symptoms Of Swine Flu

We know that flu (or influenza is the generic name) and that there are variants. The good news however is that broad speaking speaking all flu's exhibit similar symptoms. Well, I say good news, because it can be bad news too, or in the very least makes differentiation difficult.

Common to all flu's fever, often with a body temperature exceeding 100 Fahrenheit or 38 Celsius. Other common symptoms include fatigue, a feeling of weakness, loss of appetite and possibly coughing and most certainly a loss of motivation to do simple tasks.

Other symptoms of swine flu can be; sore throat, diarrhea, sickness and nasal excretion.

You see, I told you the symptoms are similar to "regular flu", the bottom line and most prudent action is to get you or anyone you know who has swine flu symptoms [http://thehomebusinessventure.com/swineflu.html] is to get checked out by a doctor.

At the first sign of symptoms you really must get a medical professional's opinion, write the symptoms down a piece of paper, in addition to when they first appeared. It's imperative you do so as if pneumonia sets in you could be in real trouble – Pneumonia is a complication you just do not want.

Smartphone Display: Types, Pros & Cons

A smartphone's screen acts as an interface between the device and a user. It is one of the most essential and most delicate components in a Phone / Tablet / PC / Laptop. We interact with our device through a screen, give commands, receive output all through a surface, in short smartphones are nothing without a screen! These smartphones feature different types of display screen each having its own set of merits and demerits. All additional features like color contrast, contrast ratio, sunlight legibility, brightness depends on the type of screen that a smartphone has. Today, smartphones are becoming all screen and iPhone X is an apt example of that! There is an increased demand for large screen phones with a size equal or above 6 inches.

Here are the most common type of screens with their pros and cons. Read till the end to know more about the type of screen that your smartphone features:

TFT is the most commonly used surface in budget phones. TFT LCD offers good quality images & higher resolution. TFT features narrow viewing angles that do not offer HD view when seen from the edges or in the sunlight. It offers the best view and HD colors when seen from the front. TFT's are all passé now and the upcoming smartphone models do not feature it.

IPS LCD's are considered the best all! They consume less power as compared to the TFT ones and offer better view even if seen from the edges of the screen. IPS screen is available in hi-end smartphone models. IPS LCD screens are legitimate in sunlight and have wider viewing angles. The screen consumes less power and emits true to life colors. The screen is backed by a backlight which consumes less battery than the TFT surface but the battery consumption is way more if compared to the OLED screens.

A capacitive screen features a glass and a conductor. It responds to finger touch and is unresponsive if operated by a stylus or gloved hands. The screen offers a great view and colors to the user. Such screen types are not used by the manufacturers anymore.

OLED screens produce better colors, offer wider viewing angles, impressive color contrast and have faster response time if compared to an LCD. An OLED screen is slim, light in weight and does not require a backlight to illuminate the display and then consumes less power. OLED screen is on the expensive side of the range scale.

AMOLED screens do not need a backlight as each pixel on the screen is backed by an LED. High brightness, low power consumption, slim frame, lightweight screen are some major highlights of such screens. These screens are available in hi-end smartphones as they are costlier than the LCD surface. The screen produces pleasing and true to life colors.

Super AMOLED is an improved version of the basic OLED / AMOLED screens. Samsung used the term for marketing purposes with a few improvements. It has the thinnest display screen, its light weight and produces great color contrast and lifelike colors.

Retina display is not a different technology it's another name for IPS LCD with an LED backlight. The term was used by Apple as a promotion tool.

The smartphone market is growing every day and the current focus is not on the specifications of the phone rather has shifted to the looks and screen! The demand for big screen phones has risen in the recent past. This rise has led to the emergence of diverse mobile screens such as LCD, OLED, AMOLED, Super AMOLED and more.

What Are Short Sightedness and Long Sightedness – How to Correct Them

Short sightedness is also called nearsightedness or Myopia is a common vision problem when the eyes can focus on close objects but distant objects are blurry. Long sightedness, also call far sightedness or Hyperopia is the opposite of Myopia. The eyes can focus on distant objects but not on close objects.

These vision problems are very common, about 30 percent of Americans are nearsighted and 60 percent are farsighted to some degree.

The shortsighted eyeball is too long causing the image focused in front of the retina. The symptoms of nearsightedness are blurred vision but also eye strain and sometimes headache.

The causes of nearsightedness are partly genetic and partly environmental. A person who constantly does close work could end up with Myopia. You can be diagnosed with nearsightedness at any age even after age 40.

The farsighted eyeball is too short causing the image focused behind the retina. Again the result is blurred image.

Genetic factors play a role at developing long sightedness. If the farsighted eye is not corrected it can get worse. It is possible that one eye nearsighted one eye farsighted.

Myopia and Hyperopia can be combined with other eyesight problems especially with Astigmatism. The causes of Astigmatism are irregular shaped cornea or irregular shaped lens causing an out-of-focus vision.

Narsightedness and farsightedness can be corrected different ways. One solution is eyeglasses. Another solution is contact lenses. Glasses and contact lenses are not going to make your eyes better they just help the eyes to focus on the retina. Eye surgery is another possibility. With eye surgery there are some risks involved.

You can also correct your vision and actually improve your vision with eye exercises. There are nearsighted eye exercises and farsighted eye exercises. Eye exercises can help Astigmatism too.

Vaccinations – 5 Vaccinations Everyone Should Have

Any disease that can ravage and kill a population is one that we should do everything we can to prevent. Unfortunately, we often do not do it until after the damage is done … if even then. Here are a few of the diseases you may want to protect yourself against. Many diseases are harder on adults than on children.

1) Measles : There are several risk factors if you contract measles. One you may not have thought of is blindness. This disease can rob you of vision, even if you take the precaution of not using them while you are ill. The best hope for preventing much damage is to stay in a dimly lit room without television, books or any other visual means of amusement, usually for quite some time. The second risk factor is worse … it can kill you.

2) Rubella : This is also called German measles and three day measles, though the two are not related. It is usually a mild disease, a slight rash and a touch of fever being the main symptoms. The problem is catching it during pregnancy. If it is done during pregnancy … especially the first trimester … it can cause miscarriage and serious birth defects. It is also very easily transmitted.

3) Polio : I may be a bit premature in suggesting you update your polio vaccines, but I have good reasons. Several areas, including parts of Eastern Europe and Africa are having serious problems with the disease. Those areas are a long way from the US, but all it takes is one or two people on an airplane under the right circumstances and that problem will be transmitted to us. This is such a devastating disease, getting protection is a small price to pay.

4) Tetanus : This disease has become so rare in the US that many doctors have never seen a case. This makes diagnosis difficult and often too late. While it typically is transmitted by something causing a puncture wound, that wound may not be noticed … once again until it is too late.

5) Whooping Cough : This disease is easier on adults and older children who catch it, but it is by no means a picnic even then. The cough comes from deep in the lungs and can make the muscles in the area very tender.

What's worse is if an infant catches it. They are not strong enough for the intense coughing episodes and die painfully within a short time of catching it. It is considered epidemiological in several states, and protecting our children should be an imperative.

There is good news. You do not have to have five shots to be protected, just two. TDAP will cover tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough and the MMR will cover measles, mumps and rubella. Talk to your doctor about these immunizations and ask if there are others recommended in your area. It is much better to be safe than sorry.

The Proven Health Benefits of Riding an ATV or Off-Road Motorcycle

Good news! The “first ever comprehensive probe of the fitness and health benefits of all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and off-road motorcycle (ORM) recreational riding” proves riding is as good as it feels.

The study

Conducted over several years by the York University Faculty of Health, co-supported by the Government of Nova Scotia and 3 riding associations, the study began with a meticulous countrywide survey to determine the ‘typical’ rider.

That was the entire first phase of this huge experiment.

Then researchers observed 128 riders, divided into 6 groups: 3 age classifications, male and female. After modifying these riders’ equipment, they could measure physical effects: heart rate; oxygen consumption; muscle fatigue and exertion, etc.

The findings

Riding an off-road vehicle requires genuine and serious physical effort. According to Canadian government fitness standards, it should positively affect your health.

While riding, riders’ use of oxygen increased by 3.5 to 6 times their level at rest. That’s 600% more! And according to standards set by the American College of Sports Medicine, that constitutes moderately intense physical activity.

That same moderate intensity taxes the heart and fatigues the muscles. How much? About the same amount as those other individual sports you take at your own pace, like skiing, golf or climbing.

A typical ATV ride was 2-3 hours; ORM was 1-2 hours. The amount of work required in the upper body and arms, if practiced regularly, was enough to increase muscle and skeletal fitness. And how regularly did they need to ride to begin realizing that increase? Just once or twice a week!

The biggie

Researchers also noticed the emotional high that fit people always talk about: “enhanced quality of life and stress reduction”. This surprised no riders.

Bitter Melon: The New Wonder Herb?

Bitter melon is a plant that is grown in tropical areas, like the Amazon, Asia and the Caribbean as a food and medicine. It's a slender, climbing vine with a fruit that looks like a warty cucumber. Its Latin name Momordica means "to bite", because the jagged edges of its leaves appear as if they have been bitten. Everything in the Momordica plant, especially the fruit, taste extremely bitter.

Medicinally, the plant has long been used by the indigenous peoples of the Amazon to treat diabetes, intestinal gas, as an antiviral for measures and hepatitis. It promotes menstruation and is also used to topically treat sores, eczema, leprosy and large wounds. It is used by tribesmen to heal hypertensive, malaria, fevers and headaches. Taken internally, it is effective in expelling worms and parasites in adults and children

In numerous modern studies, all parts of the plant have been found to clinically demonstrate hypoglycemic (blood sugar lowering) properties and other beneficial properties against diabetes mellitus. The fruit's extract has shown the ability to enhance the body's glucose uptake and promoters insulin release. In other in vivo studies, the fruit and seed have been shown to reduce total cholesterol by significant amounts. Other in vitro studies have also demonstrated the anti-cancerous and anti-leukemic properties of bitter melon against liver cancer, leukemia and melanoma. Bitter melon, is also effective against numerous viruses, including the Epstein-Barr, herpes and HIV viruses. In one study, a leaf extract increased the resistance to viral infections while also increasing the abilities of our natural killer cells. In addition, the fruit and fruit juice have shown strong antibacterial properties, especially against E.Coli.

However, when extracts are injected intravenously in lab rats, bitter melon proves to be toxic and poisonous.
