Hughston Sports Medicine: Prevent Skier's Thumb with Rechargeable Heated Gloves

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Hughston Sports Medicine: Prevent Skier’s Thumb with Rechargeable Heated Gloves

Skiers and other winter sports athlete are susceptible to hand injuries because of the nature of their sport and according to the Hughston Alert, the medical journal of the sports medicine foundation, it could be prevented with the use of rechargeable heated gloves.

Aside from heavy impacts, the hands give in to various conditions because of the lack of heat. A decrease in bodily temperature impairs the body functions including the hand movements. Skiers move their hands in a manner that can easily stress the hand ligaments and bones. A skier’s thumb is one of the most common winter sports injuries in the past decade, ranking second to knee sprains. This condition is characterized by a tear or a sprain in one of the main hand ligaments: the thumb’s ulnar collateral ligament of the metacarpophalangeal joint. It is basically the main connection of the thumb to the rest of the hand.

The affected ligament in a skier’s thumb is responsible for grasping, holding things and pinching, and one can only imagine the physical distraught it will bring if a person loses these functions. A skier’s thumb is usually obtained from falls, or wrong handling of skis. It could be prevented by learning how to fall properly or by wearing proper gear, such as rechargeable heated gloves. According to Hughston, a constant supply of heat to the hands will stabilize a skier’s control and will protect the hands from getting brittle under cold weather.

A Skier’s thumb is hard to endure especially when it is triggered by cold weather. The cold contracts the blood vessels and restricts the flow of oxygen-rich blood to vital parts of the body, including the limbs. Adding to that fact that the injuries acquired from a skier’s thumb lessens the range of motion, the cold weather could worsen the overall body condition because it prevents healthy blood flow and promotes shivering.

Aside from shielding the hands from skier’s thumb, the heat can benefit winter athletes in a lot of ways. The heat from the heated gloves can dilate the capillaries and stimulate the blood flow—a helpful and important function for athletes as it gives them a much-needed cardiovascular boost. Because the heat from rechargeable heated gloves are usually deep penetrating (like the ones sold by Ventureheat), it has the ability to repair broken ligaments in the hands, acting as a form of heat therapy.

The Enemy Within

The enemy within is a nonfiction historical account of the development of witch hunts both in Europe and in the American colonies. The author is John Demos who is a professor of history at Yale University and is the author of several articles and books on American history.

The early European development of witch craft started in local cult activities beginning in the middle ages when there was a great deal of superstition. Many of these thoughts had been passed down from pre-Christian times and typically focused on crop fertility, weather, love, sex reproduction, health, property and many other human relationships. With time three highly charged images would gain strength those being the Devil, the heretic and the magician in which each or all three would become the image of the witch.

Witchcraft gained momentum due to environmental factors such as civil wars, religious wars, famine, plagues, political turmoil, harsh climate change which resulted in dislocation and dispossession of large elements of the peasant population.

Typically the witch would be a middle aged or elderly widow who had lost the protection of her male counterpart. It appears that menopause and the loss of reproduction played an important role in the definition of the witch. Many of them were impoverished and could become targets of suspicion and resentment.

There seems to be three elements in which witchcraft became evident. The fist was distress caused by epidemic disease, floods, earthquakes, droughts, or clusters of house fires or shipwrecks. The second was remarkable events such as the appearance of comets, eclipses and meteorites. The third was caused by human affairs such wars, community division over religion or controversy of ownership of property.

With time witchcraft served to explain painful and baffling communal experiences. Disappointment and failure could be explained by witchcraft such as crop and livestock failures. butter that would not churn and could even include loss of love and broken friendships.

In Puritan American, the typical village lived with a fear of disorder and thus they found within their faith strength, hope and the promise of a new life. They believed that intense and unrelenting discipline would be able to control disorder. Thus, when disorder such as crop failure occurred in the village, they had to have an explanation for the cause. And the scapegoat was the witch. It is interesting to note that when the offending witch had been removed such as through a conviction, the village would feel a surge of unity as the process of removal of the witch seemed to be restorative and amazingly the crop failures would reverse.

In Salem, probably the most famous witch hunt, it appears that the whole scene was one of fraud and imposture, begun by young girls who at first wanted to be pitied and indulged and then continued by adult persons who were afraid of being persecuted themselves. It has been further stated that witchcraft frenzy was a matter of superstitious fanaticism promoted by the ravings and goadings of the clergy. The result in addition to shedding the blood of numerous innocent victims created lasting political and intellectual damage to the village. The Salem courts were led by the same men that led the community in politics and the military. These men failed to stem attacks on visible enemies and to shift the responsibility to the demons of the invisible world.

Why do we use this expression? Why is the college degree called a “bachelor’s” degree? Originally a “bachelor” was a soldier not old or rich enough to lead in battle under his own banner. Thus bachelor meant a person of inferior rank. It was applied to the college degree to differentiate it from the higher degree of “doctor”.

Reduce the Signs of Aging with Castor Oil

As we age the unavoidable signs of aging seem to creep up on us. Although aging is a natural part of our genetic makeup, as humans we have been trying to slow the progression of aging for some time now. Anti aging products, treatments and procedures are all the rage making it a booming market. Wrinkles are undoubtedly the most noticeable sign of aging however age spots, skin tags, and gray hair also accompanies them. Over time the skin thins which causes the skin to be less elastic and more fragile therefore the formation of wrinkles occurs more easily. Additionally the skin is more likely to bruise and with less natural oil production the skin dries out easier. Unfortunately, the cause of the signs of aging cannot only be blamed on our genetics. Stress, body imbalances, disease, sun exposure and smoking all are factors that contribute to advanced signs of aging. Consequently, anti aging treatments are available in all forms, grades and locations.

With growing technology and medical advances, the life expectancy has increased drastically from years past. Even still anti aging products have become widely popular treatments to reduce the signs of aging and improve the look of youthful beauty.  Castor oil is produced from the seeds of the castor plant and can be applied topically to reduce the signs of aging. Normally used in soaps, lubricants, hydraulic and brake fluids, paints, dyes, coatings, inks, cold resistant plastics, waxes and polishes, nylon, pharmaceuticals and perfumes, a castor oil derivative can be used for skin disorders and skin problems. In ancient times castor oil was used as a laxative, purgative and cathartic in Ayurvedic medicine in India. In traditional medicine castor oil can be used for abdominal complaints, headaches, muscle pains, inflammatory conditions, skin eruptions, lesions, styes, burns, sunburns, skin disorders, skin cuts, abrasions and sinusitis.

Castor oil is especially good at reducing wrinkles, as well as preventing them from reoccurring. Castor oil is a moisturizer that hydrates the skin and penetrates deep into the skin cells. Castor oil can be used in several different beauty products such as shampoo, lipstick and lip balm as a way to condition the skin. Ricinoleic acid is the ingredient within castor oil that is known for it’s anti-inflammatory effects. It cleanses and heals dry, inflamed skin. It softens the skin but doesn’t leave an oily residue behind. Castor oil restores dehydrated and dried skin to its youthful appearance.

Another aspect of castor oil is that improves circulation to the skin. Increased blood flow, means increased oxygenation and nutrients to the skin, which gives it a naturally healthy glow. Castor oil should be used regularly to eliminate wrinkles, age spots and increase skin elasticity. Castor oil is a great antioxidant, which eliminates free radicals from oxidation. It builds up cell strength and resistance to abnormal changes caused by free radicals. Castor oil prevents dryness, which is the leading cause of wrinkles. However, unlike most oils it can easily be removed from the skin with warm water. It doesn’t leave an oily residue on the skin and keeps the skin feeling smooth and supple. Age spots can be removed in just a few days of usage. To restore your skin back to its youthful, healthy, naturally glowing skin and remove wrinkles and all your signs of aging use castor oil daily.

7 Sweet Things to Say to Your Girlfriend to Get Her Back

1. I’m sorry.

This is the number one thing that you could say to your girlfriend, or ex for that matter. The one caveat to this rule is that you need to be sincere. An insincere apology is worse than no apology at all.

2. I was wrong.

What woman wouldn’t want to hear this? Seriously. We spend too much time wanting to be right, that even when we’re wrong we won’t admit it. Be a man and admit it. She’ll love you all the more for it.

3. How are you doing?

Do you really care about your girlfriend? If so, ask her how she’s doing.

4. Is there anything I can do to help?

Sometimes you just don’t know what we can do to fix a problem. In these cases, it’s best to ask her what she thinks you can do. Be prepared to act on whatever it is she asks for, including some space and time.

5. I know that what I did hurt you and I want to make it right.

By acknowledging that you hurt her, you’re allowing her to take ownership of her hurt. Once this ownership takes place, she’ll be able to deal with the hurt more directly. Be prepared to allow her to vent. If you can prove to her that you can listen, you have made huge strides in getting her back.

6. I regret what I did, but I don’t regret ever being with you.

This simple phrase accomplishes two things: 1) you show sorrow for what you did to hurt her, and 2) you show her that you still want to be with her.

7. I did not treat you like someone I love. Please let me start over, because I do love you.

Yeah with this one you are dropping the big L-word. But if it’s true, it’s true. Don’t be afraid to express your love. This phrase can work magic.

Try these 7 sweet things to say to your girlfriend to get her back and you’ll find yourself back in her arms. Again, I just want to remind you to be sincere.

Protecting the Public Speaker’s Most Valuable Asset: Your Voice!

A lawyer has his briefs and his arguments. A basketball player needs a basketball and a plumber uses a snake to clear a drain. What do these professionals (who get paid a lot of money) all have in common? Without one specific tool, they cannot do their job properly. In addition, if that tool is not in tiptop working condition — their job will become more difficult, if not impossible to perform!

Well, guess what? If a public speaker wants to make an impact with his or her audience, the one tool he absolutely needs to protect is his voice. Doing so, will allow you to effortlessly do your job so your audience can enjoy your message and content.

Before I worked as a professional speaker and humorist, I trained as a professional actor. I did oodles and oodles of stage work that allowed me to speak on a stage and be completely heard (without straining) in the last row of the theatre/auditorium.

I accomplished this with hours of voice training and the proper use of my voice using my diaphragm.

You see, your voice box is a muscle, and just like any other part of your body, if you abuse it–you will lose it! And if you don’t take care of your body and don’t get enough sleep or you’re fatigued, I guarantee you, as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west — your voice will be the first thing to go! Hello, laryngitis!

Your body and voice should work in peak performance mode so your inspiring message and content ring loud and clear like a bell!

Please don’t rely on the sound system to help you out if your voice is scratchy, hurting, or withering away due to fatigue.

The result will be a scratchy voice that is NOW louder to your audience and more annoying to listen to. Remember: If your voice fails, you’re a goner! Also apologizing to your audience every few minutes will not help the matter. They don’t care. They want a speaker they can ALL enjoy now!

What to Drink to Protect Your Voice

Yes, drinking is very important. Of course, we’re talking about drinking the right fluids that are NON alcoholic. Working pros know that alcohol is a clear no-no before preparing to speak in front of an eager audience.

I can’t tell you how many times at night before doing a corporate show, a client or an attendee has offered me a cocktail before bounding onto the platform.

I always turned it down, and I hope you do the same. You see, not only will the alcohol dry out your throat, but the combination of drinking it and talking to a crowd are fraught with danger.

Try this on for size. You could forget what you wanted to say; you could stumble off the stage and into the audience. Landing off the platform and into the lap of an audience member is NOT how you want to be remembered, do you? And just imagine what the evaluations forms will point out.

“Speaker was pretty decent until she stumbled off the platform and landed on me breaking my collar bone! Would enjoy hearing her again when she’s sober and I am healed!”

Again, do yourself a favor: Drink alcohol AFTER your presentation during your down time in the hotel bar!

That said, you should do everything you can to lubricate your voice and not have phlegm rear its ugly head. The best thing to drink is plain old H2O. In fact, you should drink a lot of water (hydrate as they say) the day BEFORE you are scheduled to speak.

Doing this will moisten up your vocal chords, not to mention your entire body (which is always a good idea anyway.) Then during your speech have a cup of room-temperature water beside you on the lectern, and sip it every now and then.

Another big no-no is to keep away from soda and other carbonated drinks right before your presentation. If you want to protect your voice, remember to stay away from carbonation, especially if you do NOT want to belch or slightly burp on stage. Imagine the embarrassment when you belch out a word or two in the middle of your talk!

If water is just not your thing, try drinking something naturally sweet, like orange juice or grapefruit juice. They are astringents and can help clear any congestion from your vocal chords. Again, doing this will enable you to NOT have to clear your throat after every other sentence!

Coddle Your Voice Like a Baby!

Just as you wouldn’t send your small child out into the cold without a sweater and scarf, do the same for your speaking voice.

Protect your voice by wrapping a winter scarf around your neck in winter. Wear turtleneck sweaters and shirts (in season, of course). Wisely, do what you have to do to keep yourself and your voice warm and cozy.

Don’t go too far by wrapping a woolen scarf around your neck in mid-July. Oh, sure, other speakers might know you are protecting your voice. BUT some folks might think you’re a nut job and could possibly alert the authorities. (And no, that never happened to me!)

There’s More You Can Do

Does the word “strain” conjure up feelings of pain or tension? Well, your voice thinks it does! Common sense dictates to always use a microphone when you are speaking to an audience. Certainly if you are in an intimate setting, say less than fifty people, then you might not want to. But only do that if you can project your voice properly to your listeners without hurting it.

Along with being trained as an actor, I also trained earlier in my life as a singer. And because I was, I always want to keep my voice limber by singing scales and doing certain vocal exercises.

If I am on the road (and I usually am when giving a presentation), I do my scales in my hotel room (preferably in the shower). My public speaking program has certain voice exercises for you to use that can help give your voice more timbre, vocal range, and flexibility.

Remember: Just like an athlete stretches his arms and leg quads for flexibility, so must a speaker get his voice flexible to get the job done!

Be prudent: If there’s a break during the day’s schedule before you have to speak, protect your voice by taking that time to be alone.

Do your best to NOT speak to anyone. Explain to your host or client that you’re not being antisocial; you’re just saving your voice for the time you’re scheduled to speak. (They’ll hopefully understand and drift away for you to be alone!)

Again, it’s worth repeating: Before your begin your speech, find a quiet area (preferably your hotel bathroom) and warm up your voice. Do this just as you would warm up your muscles before you go for a jog or whatever type of exercise you enjoy doing.

Don’t worry if a few people can hear you doing those odd vocal exercises to continually protect your very important asset: your voice!

Let It Be A Magical Story

This is a story about a very personal yet life changing experience that truly enhanced my very being and has optimistically altered the way I live and believe today! Yes, I know I should be writing about my favorite subject "roses" but these words are powerful and provocative and I need to let the planet know of this truly ancient enchanting secret that I have discovered and how you may use it in your lives.

Well, several years back when I thought I had all that life could give me spiritual and materialistically, I really had not much to complain about. I believed that I did everything right and no obstacles could harm me. Yes, I had the life as a dream.

People all around me loved who I was and expected my life's successes and accomplishments. So proud of all that I had become. At that moment Magic!

THE NIGHT before Magic

It was a cold winter night here in New England. The fireplace was ablaze and the stoned family room was dim-lit, cozy, and smelled of sweet burning oak! I listened to the silence broken by the howling wind as it crept through the un-insulated huge oak doors penetrating the warmth of our great cherry wooded ancient sitting room.

Oh! Our Connecticut winter night transport so much of natures love and passion at the same time, really a grand place and time to reflect upon life's rewards and unexpected obstacles.

I shut my now heavy eyes, and lazily sat back in my comfortable quilted rocking chair allowing my thoughts to subside and be free. A gentle breeze accented my face, left-over frosty chilled winds that had crept through the huge antiquated conservatory style glossed picture windows. I could witness as I peered through the window panes the mammoth Pine and Oak trees gather ice as the crying wind chilled the branches and limbs which looked much like a water-color painting on a holiday card. I am connected to Mother Earth. I was so much at peace!

My mind gathered wandered and dissected memories and experienced yet again the sensitivity, the warmth of present moments while in nature's silence. Feelings of peace yet eruptions of unforeseen chaos had also traveled through the roadway of my thoughts. Like a thoroughfare in untrained territory yet full of peace and love suddenheless obstructions at every turn. As I wandered through this cerebral journey my thoughts became further cluttered and overflowing with more redundant unstructured vibrations. I then realized that I did indeed have questions and fear about my life!

The room became even more quiet and seemed to begin to get colder as the raging fire became dim lit after a few blazing hours of blessing me with warmth to the room. I pandered a bit and preferred to move to the oak dining table in the other corner of the room to get a better grass on what was about to happen! My mind shifted to the unwanted thoughts.

Then an unexpected impression came to my mind about complications conflicts and unconstructive and disturbing electronic pulsations of information.

The people! The ungrateful! The few of the ones that I have helped, loved, provided for, supplied ,ave unconditionally to. Those people who were ungrateful and not thankful because you stopped giving to them because they expected more and more from you. Those ungrateful few that have plagued our inner sprit with anger, distrust, doubt frustration and disappointment. The few that do not care about anything or anyone except themselves. They are Selfish Few. They speak of you behind your back as if you were their worst enemy, yet they continue with the smiles and fake unworthy gestures. They hurt you yet you could never hurt them! Can not hurt the fake! The crap of LIFE!

Why was the question why?

Is this really happening to me? Why are they against me? Why do they not understand who I really am? Why does the Universe God present me with so many obstacles I did not create? Why! Why! Why should I forgive those who have conspired against me? Why should I be the one that always has to give in Why do not they understand my feelings! Why do they act this way?

Why? = Nothing! Y = X! Y = 0. There is no answer to why? Just an assumption! But, no true reality! You can never find out the genuine meaning of why! Worrying about why is nothing but a negative influence in your life .

So, that unforgettable evening I went to bed, distracted, heartbroken, and angry with these horrible depressing thoughts coloring my mind. As I laid in the darkness I was impelled to glance at the statue of the Virgin Mary that sat on my table along-side my bed. She appeared to "glow" in the shadows!

For some strange reason I was impelled to get on my knees, look at her glowing face and pray! I prayed a simple prayer. "Hello Mother Mary, Please help me to get beyond these troubled feelings, I do not know an answer, and Please answer my prayer". That was all I asked, and laid back down to bed and feel sleep.

The next morning I awoke mysteriously at 5:30 am to the resonance of my clock radio playing music!

The morning sun glazed through my bedroom windows lighting up my room with a magnificent dawn glow. My room had a gentle but distinct fragrance of sweet lavender or sage. My body and mind felt extraordinarily cleansed and energized! For just a moment, I thought I was still in dream land! But as I approached the reality of this new day, I realized what I was actually experiencing.

There was some sort of Magical aurora veiling my bedroom! The song played on as I unexpectedly woke and comprehend that the words were infiltrating my being! This is my magical Answer! The song went on and I fell to my knees yet again as I continued to listen.

When I find myself in times of trouble

Mother Mary comes to me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

And in my hour of darkness

She is standing right in front of me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

Let it be, let it be

Let it be, let it be

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

And when the broken hearted people

Living in the world agree

There will be an answer, let it be

For though they may be parted

There is still a chance that they will see

There will be an answer, let it be

Let it be, let it be

Let it be, let it be

Yeah, there will be an answer, let it be

Let it be, let it be

Let it be, let it be

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

Let it be, let it be

Let it be, let it be

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

And when the night is cloudy

There is a light that shines on me

Shine until tomorrow, let it be

I wake up to the sound of music

Mother Mary comes to me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

Let it be, let it be

Let it be, let it be

There will be an answer, let it be

Let it be, let it be

Let it be, let it be

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be! That is the answer! Do not resist what life hands to you! Love it Appreciate it! They are lessons to be learned! Do not assume anything to be good or bad! Accept all as a lesson and move on. "It is what it is"! Let it be as "it is" and do not place any labels as good or bad!

Be in gratefulness all of the time and there will never be anything bad! Feel it, love it, and accept it for what it is! Let it be! That is the answer to Y = "Let It Be"

I have lived this way from that inconceivable day on forward, and my life has never been the same. I continue to live in this manner being who I am, being grateful, giving from my heart with love and happiness and never expecting anything in return.

What you resist will persist. Be grateful for what we have, appreciative of all that is. And your life will change instantaneously and eternally!

I continued to pray that morning, to thank the God, the Heavens, Mother Mary, and the Universe for this life changing moment that has enhanced my life forever!

Thank you Mother Mary and also many thanks to John Lennon and Paul McCartney for their God inspired words.

Self-Love: Why Did You Lose It?

If you must ask what self-love is, it is highly likely that you no longer have it. But, more importantly, you should ask: why did you lose it?

Subjected to some two decades of abuse, alcoholism, and/or dysfunctionality, you were probably denied the steady infusion of love that would have nurtured and expanded your own. Instead, you were forced to swallow what it was not, initially reasoning that its withhold was due to your own flaws and faults and, if you could just have met your parents’ exacting standards, then the floodgates to it would have assuredly opened.

They most likely never did, because you never did-that is, attain those exacting standards, frequently forced to accept and process parental put-downs, abasements, and defamations, which had no correlation to your behavior or attributes, but which you nevertheless had to rationalize. They, after all, were the adults and certainly knew more about the ways of the world than you, leaving you little choice but to “learn” from your “misdeeds” and accept your “punishments,” so that you would be properly “disciplined” with an eye toward never repeating your “transgressions.”

Even if, later in life, you came to the realization that what would have “filled your tank” was lacking because their own parents failed to “fill theirs,” a year-long hook-up at a gas station now could never replenish the supply and fill your void.

You were forced to view yourself the way your parents viewed you. You reaped what they sowed. If they were farmers, then they planted their own seeds of childhood dysfunction, deficiency, and unresolved abuse until you grew into them.

Abuse and alcoholism shattered your self-love, causing you to feel diminished and dehumanized, and you attributed their treatment to the belief that you were exactly what they implied you were. Instead of contributing to and expanding your love, they drained you of it.

If you wish to see God in anything, then you must look for the love in it. In your parent’s case, it is doubtful that you could detect it in them, especially when they mistreated the way the did.

Unknowingly using your parents’ faces as mirrors to reflect what you believe they saw in you, you really saw what they had in them, which, at times, may have been anger and hated, until this distorted image became your own.

Self-love implies value. Abuse instills valuelessness. It transforms what you are and were created to be into the converted opposite-in other words, into something you are not. If you cannot detect and connect with love in yourself, then you cannot extend it to others. After all, that feeling must originate within before it can radiate without, thus explaining why you seldom received it.

“How can an adult child who is taught from the earliest years to abandon himself truly love from the inside out?” asks the Adult Children of Alcoholics textbook (World Service Organization, 2006, p. 434). “We have an answer grounded in ACA experience: The love is there and God given. The love has always been there. We need a power to reawaken this love from within.”

Yes, but…

This potential hinges to a significant degree upon how much recovery you have made, since the sheer need for survival converted your soul into the God-opposite image of what it was created to be and until and unless you can reconnect with him, that “power to reawaken” may initially be little more than a flicker. And without sufficient trust to enable you to re-forge that equally important human link, you may find it very difficult to rise to that love level.

Indeed, recovery program progress, whose duration varies according to the person undertaking it and the amount of effort he applies toward it, will quickly reveal that there are two broad phases to it-the physical one, during which you are still primarily concerned with survival tactics, and the spiritual one, during which you re-experience that all-important love you intrinsically are.

A part of your struggle is the frustrating paradox that you, at least in essence, are the reflection of the Higher Power who created you, but, shortly after your first breath on earth, you became converted and whittled down by the parental infractions and debasements that recreated you and that you believed you deserved. As a result, you could only view life from the need-to-survive level.

Without choice, escape, or even awareness of the behavior that sparked your progressive unravel, you were unknowingly transformed from what you inherently were to what your parents were-that is, what you were not.

In the true insult-to-injury irony, the very parents who were allegedly present to protect you created the harm from which you then needed protection and they subsequently denied their detriment, abandoning you and leaving you to pick up your own pieces, often resulting in a lifelong path paved with self-help reading, therapy, psychology support groups, and twelve-step programs.

Your inescapable and irresolvable solution to this dilemma was the burying of the very part of you that is self-love. Seeking internal protection by escaping and creating the inner child sanctuary, you replaced it with the false- or pseudo-self, which is devoid of the innate, intrinsic, and inherent God-reflective (translated as love-reflective) properties, forcing you to pull the plug on his light and plunge you into darkness.

As an entity, the false self is a cheap imitation of the real thing, but a necessary split that enables you to negotiate the world with perceived safety as an unrecovered adult child, a term, incidentally, you may, up to this point, have never heard.

Love is real, not a concept, and from this synthetic representation of what you ultimately came to believe was the real you, self-love can neither exist nor flow.

Indeed, what does originate from this self-substitute is the critical inner voice-the perpetually-playing, loop-lapping, self-loathing, -abasing,, and even -abandoning tapes, which may coincidentally sound like parental voice-overs and which you believed could have been replaced by their love if you had only been perfect enough to deserve it.

The false self represents the ultimate sacrifice for humanity’s and, as an extension, the animal kingdom’s most fundamental need: safety. Safety augments survival and survival, in physical form, must precede everything else. Without it, nothing else, such as and especially love, can follow.

Tantamount to your self-love search is the painful and abrupt arrival at-if not collision with—your personal bottom, the point where every conceivable method has failed to arrest your dwindling spiral and the only direction left is up-or back up to the Higher Power who created you. Hitherto beyond reach or connection, he awaits your ability to re-forge that link, which itself depends upon program progress. It will almost certainly entail times of tenuous, altogether severed, regained, and once again partially reconnected alignments, since the process is anything but linear and steady.

Connections, in this case, do not necessarily entail height, but emotional and spiritual regain. When your spirits rise-literally-you can stretch yourself to God.

Conversely, when you re-sink into the quicksand of despair and depression, you can neither forge that link nor even feel his presence. The substance of connection is not string, but light, as you link yours with his, which, before your creation, were the same.

Connections also have physical properties. The synaptic ones between neurons or brain cells representing self-criticism and low self-esteem are most likely as thick as ropes, while those between positive self-feelings, because of your barrage of childhood putdowns, are probably as thin as threads. Only concerted effort toward modifying your self-image, combined with frequent affirmations, will initiate this rewiring and create new neuro-pathways.

Integral to this re-climb to the self-love your Creator endowed you with is trust.

Seemingly absent during your greatest time of parental betrayal and harm, it is difficult to trust the eternal parent who seemed to serve as a “bystander” during it all.

Exacerbating this dynamic is the fact that you could also not trust the earthly parents who inflicted you with your life’s damage and the negative attributes you associated with them you quickly reassigned to your eternal one.

Based upon your degree of pain and detriment, you may sometimes even believe that both earthly and eternal parents colluded to facilitate your demise for reasons of punishment, past-life penance, martyrdom, or factors beyond your conceptualization.

The intermediate steps on your journey back to self-love are numerous. First and foremost is your surrender to the Creator you intrinsically know.

Secondly, you must plow through the dense, sometimes-impenetrable layers separating you from him. Abuse-bred filters require considerable effort to penetrate so that you can once again associate him with who he actually is and not the carbon copy of your parents you came to believe he is.

Questioned as the definition of “truth,” Jesus once said, “That which never changes.” Integral to and the essence of God is love-and that is truth.

Additional steps include realizing what necessitated the creation of your inner child; understanding why you adopted the survival strategies that you did; removing the displaced, but subconsciously perceived faces of your parental abusers from present-time others who may inadvertently trigger you, generating uncomfortable, anxious, or out-and-out fearful feelings; and realizing that most of your emotions and reactions have neuro-links to their early-life origins and times when you were neurologically, psychologically, intellectually, emotionally, and physically undeveloped, often creating present-time powerlessness and paralysis.

Self-love is a slow re-climb of the mountain that abuse and alcoholism kicked you off of, necessitating your survival-level existence at its base. Yet the journey’s progress can be measured with elevation gains, such as those at the plateaus of self- and other-acceptance, facilitated by the tool of trust.

“Self-love is an indispensable spiritual element of the ACA program,” according to the Adult Children of Alcoholics textbook (p. 436). “Self-love enables the adult child to backfill the love or nurturing we did not get as children. By loving ourselves, we stop the negative self-talk… self-love gives us a new pair of glasses… Unhealthy behavior is no longer ‘normal’ to us.”

Self-love, ironically, is eternal-parent given, but sometimes earthly-parent taken, and the detoured journey from your origin to your destination may be arduous and protracted. But where else, in the end, can you go except back to your intrinsic self and the love with which it was endowed?

Workout Tips and Diets for Abs

When you're working out you want to make sure you are doing heavy compound movements. When I say heavy it does not mean you want to max out or go to one rep max or something like that. You want to keep your rep range from about 6 to 10 reps. Now here is the key, if you are a beginner and just starting off you want to keep your rep range a little higher because you want to make sure you are safe and that your form is really good before you go ahead and get your reps down To about six. But if you have been working out for a little while and know most of the exercises, try to keep anywhere between 6 to 8 reps, at the most 10 reps. Keep it heavy, and here is the reason why. When you're working out you want to go ahead and start your muscles, if you go too light you're only going to build endurance and that is what most guys do most of the time. Light weight does not get you ripped. Doing 50 curls with light weight does not do anything, but maybe build endurance. If you are trying to get lean and ripped do not worry about the light weight, go heavy, go compound, and you want to work and stimulate 6 to 8 muscle groups at one time.

Let's say you are working on chest and shoulders today. You will normally work on 6-8 muscle groups very easily when you are doing compound movements, by using your core, by using your triceps, by using your legs when you are possibly standing and doing military press. There are so many other muscle groups working even thought you may only be working on chest and shoulders. This is the difference between doing compound movements vs. Doing isolation where you stick your body into a machine where pretty much everything is relaxed except for that one muscle being worked.

You burn a lot more calories with heavy composite movements, and it drives your metabolism super high. So if your work outs involve 80% isolation workouts, you will have to work out 3 to 4 times harder with little to no results in weight loss, lean muscle building, calorie burning and metabolism increase.

So if you want to get abs, yes excise is very important, but you also need to have your eating and nutrition handled too. Now this does not mean you have to deprive yourself or go on a diet. The key here is just making it simple, there is so much misinformation out there about dieting and what you should eat, put forth by gurus and experts that make things very completed and designed to open the door to you spending more money. Very simple, you need lean meats, vegetables, fruits, and some natural carbohydrates depending on your goals. The things to avoid would be refined carbohydrates, refined sugars and refined fats.

My system is good because it makes healthy eating very simple. What I do is cook a lot of food in advance of the week and make a lot of prepared meals that we can just stick in the microwave and within three minutes we have a healthy meal. I would say for healthy eating that is going to be the key. Find a system that makes it simple where you do not have to keep thinking about it. You can eat healthy without it having to be like a chore.

Here is an example of what I eat much of the time. For meats, I like to eat lean chicken breast, tilapia, and egg whites, this being a very lean protein source. Vegetables, anything is ok, but for me, I like to eat broccoli and green beans, because they are easy to prepare. For carbohydrates, sometimes I eat beans and sometimes I go with brown rice and on occasion the sweet potato. This is a good example of what I eat and what is really simple and easy to prepare. In the end you spend very little time in the kitchen, you do not have to wash tons of dishes and eating time is simple and quick. You need to start eating clean.

The last thing you want to do is go ahead and get the right advice. When you talk or listen to somebody make sure they know what they are talking about. Here is a pretty easy way to tell if you should listen to someone:

A. Take a look at them, see what they look like. If you have someone who is out of shape and overweight and they are helping others who are in the same condition, all you have is the blind leading the blind. You will waste a lot of time and money. Both are involved in misinformation.

B. Make sure the person has done it himself as well as helped someone else do it. They understand their bodies and they are able to pass on their knowledge to different body types.

6 Ways How You Can Deal With Negative People

Do you have friends who always complain about everything? Or do you know the perfect drama queen who always runs from one catastrophe into the other? Or the poor victim who always ends up in the dark corner left alone?

During my life, I have met many negative people, it all started with close family members. To give you some examples: The partner of my late grandmother was a woman who always saw the negative. Once, we watched an inspiring story about a former athlete who had rebuilt his life after an accident with spinal cord injury. He was a role model for strength and positive attitude. She watched the report without a word. When it had finished, she said: Why do not the doctors let him die after this accident? I sat next to her and did not know what to say. Every phrase she said reflected her negative perception of the world. I tried my best to cheer her up and change her perspective. Needless to say that it was not successful. I left our conversations feeling exhausted and tired.

We all face short periods of negativity in our life, however, a person who transmits constant pessimism can drag you down. What can you do to avoid this? These six tactics will help you to decrease the impact of negative people in your life.

  • Be aware of the negativity and acknowledge its impact.
The negativity of another person will influence you dependent on your level of sensitivity. I am highly sensitive and take on negativity like a sponge. I tried to tell myself many years that it would not influence me and it was wrong. True is that it always did until I learned to set boundaries. What happens if you are around negative people? How do you feel after you have been together with them? How is your level of energy after? Be aware of the impact the negativity has on yourself and acknowledge it.
  • Set clear limits.
If you acknowledge the negativity, you can react in a way that is compassionate towards yourself. We want to be kind, and this means that we are kind to others while being kind to ourselves. You should manage your energy level well. Limit the duration you are together with a negative person, see them or talk to them less frequent. How often do you want to be around with them? How long do you want to stay with them? Always keep in mind that you can not change the negative attitude of another person. They have to decide that they want to change. You can only take care of yourself and your energy, and avoid to getting drowned by their negativity.
  • Clear yourself energetically.
I experienced a fast recovery from negativity when I learned to clear myself energetically. How can you do this? If you have been together with a negative person, do a short visualization afterwards. Close your eyes and take some deep breaths. Imagine that you stand in a shower with white light. The light was washed away any negativity from your body into the earth. Visualize dark or gray shadows that slowly sink into the earth. Continue with your visualization until the white light fills your complete body. Thank the light for its help. Feel free to change the visualization in a way that it feels right for you. Just listen to your intuition.
  • Explore the other person's world.
A very compassionate strategy you can use is to explore the other person's world. Which stories are hidden behind the negative attitude? What are the hidden desires that have not been fulfilled yet? Strive to understand them. Explore their world with love and compassion. Listen to them, do not judge them and do not try to find a solution. Mirror them what you understood. Reflect the pain or the resentment you may perceive.
  • Acknowledge the difference.
Another way to deal with negativity is to acknowledge the difference. There is no need that we all have the same opinion. That's not possible. So just say, I think we see life very differently. I want to celebrate it. I want to enjoy it fully. You can not control what they will do and you can not convince them to follow you. You can just stay true to yourself.
  • You always have a choice.
We are all adults. We can choose with what we are spending our time. We are also responsible for the energy we send into the world. If the negativity of a person persists for years and there is no change, you do not have any obligation to spend your time with them. You can not change them. Practice compassion towards yourself. Is it compassionate to continue this relationship? Stop finding excuses for the other person's behavior. Everybody went through some crisis. I am sure you also had bad times in your life. Each of us is responsible how we deal with negative experiences and what attitude we choose towards life. Your time is limited and valuable. You have the choice to walk away from the relationship. You can choose whether you spend it with positive or negative people.

With whom do you want to spend your time?

Sell Licensed Products

Selling licensed products is one of the mains of an online marketing business. Depending on the source and the value of a product, the cost of purchasing a license can vary strongly. It is up to the individual to decide just how much he or she she can reasonably spend on buying a license. The more valuable the product, the greater the investment but, on the plus side, the greater the potential profit. There is a saying that in business you must speculate to accumulate and that is very true when it comes to licensing.

Here is an outline plan to make money online with an apocryphal licensed DVD set.

Having purchased the Master Rights to a 12 disc set of DVDs all recorded at the same seminar and entitled: "The Tone Deaf Route to Successful Songwriting", (I did say it was apocryphal) how can we set about marketing that online to get the Best possible return? First of all I would suggest selecting 2 or 3 of the disks from the set which give between them a balanced, yet contrasting, view of the main aspects of the seminar as a whole. This might be one disc covering the use of music writing software, another on how to write lyrics and a third on how to submit your work to publishers and recording artists.

The next step is to rebrand those three discs as a set under a new catchy title. Some keyword research will help you come up with a title which makes it clear just what it is you have to offer. Try to make the title emotive. How about: "Three Steps to Songwriting Riches". (That's a bit cheesy but it will do as an example) The next step is to rebrand the appearance of the DVDs, changing the title and the artwork so the DVDs look totally different from the original discs. This can be easily achieved if you have a printer which will print "printable" DVDs in addition to its usual functions. The case labels can also be printed using free downloadable software. It is possible to produce a highly professional set of DVDs complete with cases. You have now made the product exclusively your own

The set is then promoted by whichever marketing method you prefer (perhaps for about $ 37 – $ 57). A free bonus item would be offered with the disks which could be a report on a related topic or a CD of songwriting examples. The DVD set is delivered to all customers complete with an insert into the case which promotes a backend product, ie – the other 9 discs in the set. These can be offered either as a one-off purchase (for say $ 197) or as a disc-a-month set (at $ 27 per month). Assuming that the initial set of 3 discs is of good quality, there is a good chance that the purchasers of those discs will invest in the rest of the set. That one set of discs has provided you with both a frontend and a backend product.

This is purely a mythical example which will not fit every licensed product but I think you can see the possibilities. Use your ingenuity to turn any licensed product into a highly profitable opportunity.

Yeast Infection Statistics – Numbers Don’t Lie

Candidiasis is an overgrowth of Candida yeast which is caused when the body’s levels of friendly bacteria drop too low too keep the yeast in check. The overgrowth typically occurs in the mucous membranes of the mouth, gastrointestinal tract and vagina. The main risk factors for candidiasis are the consumption of a diet high in simple carbohydrates and prolonged use of antibiotics and corticosteroids. But just how prevalent is candidiasis? Are we overestimating the problem here? This article briefly examines the yeast infection statistics.

Scientific data from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases tells us that nearly 75% of all adult American women have had at least one vaginal yeast infection in their lifetime. That data also tells us that of this 75%, 40 to 45% will suffer from a two or more of the infection. Also, 12 to 15% of men develop symptoms after sexual contact with an infected partner. Doing the math here, that means that about one third of all adult women suffer from recurrent (i.e. several) yeast infections. This data admittedly tells us nothing about the frequency of that recurrence, but that statistic really shocked me. Does it alarm you too?

Surely there’s something fundamentally wrong with our modern diet and lifestyle for this to be the case. Our Western lives are fueled by sugar, caffeine, additives, preservatives, stress and inadequate sleep. When we’re sick we’re prescribed antibiotics and corticosteriods. While they may be fixing some of our health problems, they also destroy the balance of micro-organisms in our bodies. For birth control, we take oral contraceptives which exacerbate this problem.

If you suffer from recurrent yeast infections, then you know just how infuriating they can be. Maybe it’s time to look at your lifestyle and habits to see if you can help restore the balance of friendly bacteria?

Pluto

Though scientists only recently discovered Pluto the ancients knew of her existence from the very beginning of recorded time as written in the Zohar-Book of Secret. Called Erez, this little world on the brink of the Seventh Heaven is the boundary of our solar system – the tenth frontier. The Zohar describes this world as being so distantly that the sun looks like a star. Recent photographs have confirmed the words of the wise.

There are aspects of Pluto that mirror our own earth more than any other planet; For example, Pluto shows the greatest diversity of terrain other than the earth and has its moon Charon always showing the same face to her planet as does earth's moon. The Talmud-Book of Law speaks about Seven Heavens and the Zohar describes and names each of the seven celestial bodies that intercept the heavens from earth until Pluto.

Pluto and earth are connected through the merit of seven. The Zohar says that only the seven outer orbits of our solar system support life. It is because of the outer seven celestial bodies that we regulate ourselves according to seven days of the week; The remaining three, the sun, Mercury and Venus, represent the higher light, the intellect, whereas the outer seven are representative of the body of our emotions. The solar system, like an embryo, awakens first from the body; The head remains bent and unconscious until birth.

To discover physical similarities between the earth and her seventh planet might be expected as it says in the Talmud: all sevens are beloved – each is seventh from the other. The earth was divided into seven land masses: the continents which correspond to the seven outer worlds according to the Zohar written 2000 years ago. The seven day week and the seven notes of western music are related to this primal configuration.

The earth revolves around the sun every 365 days while Pluto's orbit is 248 years equaling the number 613. Every human body is comprized, according to the Talmud, of 248 limbs connected by 365 vessels. The first five books of the Torah known as The Five Books of Moshe are the source of the 613 Commandments given to the Jewish People. These commands are separated into two categories: 248 positive commands and 365 negative commands.

The six parts of the body: arms, legs, torso and sex are two intertwined triangles that form a mouth which produces speech. The Cabalists differentiate between these first six attributes embodied by the first six planets from the earth to Neptune by noticing the six corresponding Sefirot all point in the same direction – toward the greater light – while the seventh turns. This turning is played out in Pluto's interception of the orbit of her giant neighbor Neptune for twenty years out of Pluto's 248 year elliptical orbit around the sun. Like Einstein's Mobius strip (A Möbius strip is an intriguing surface with only one side and one edge. You can make one by joining the two ends of a strip of paper after giving one end a 180-degree twist) the orbit of Pluto is the Self-imposed confine to the solar system related to the tenth sephira of Malcult / Royalty, woman, birth and speech.

For twenty years of the 248 years cycle around the sun, Pluto dips into Neptune's orbit; This last happened from 1979 to 1999 – it will happen again in the year 2226 or 5986 in the Hebrew calendar, just 14 years before the year 6000 – beginning the thousand years of woman and of peace. These astronomical acrobatics are indicative of celestial speech – the culmination of the earth's communication to the Creator through the universe in the same way the human being produces speech rendered through the emotions emanating from the six limbs of the body that can span space and reach another Intelligent being.

The limit of speech is the mouth which has within it five aspects that divide the breath into articulated words: lips, teeth, tongue, pallet and throat. Scientific exploration has so far revealed three moons around the planet Pluto. One would suspect that there are two more moons lurking in the darkness circling planet Pluto. Both earth and Pluto speak; Earth speaks the amalgam of thoughts continuously produced by the human brain radiating into the space; The earth is the inner voice of the solar system while Pluto speaks into the beyond.

The Kuiper Belt, an endless array of chaotic frozen material drifting aimlessly around our solar system, is the outer perimeter to our world of ten dimensions. Referring to the surrounding light and the concept of Keter / Crown: Will and Pleasure from where the chaos of the human being is rooted, the Kuiper Belt is the manifestation of that concept.

The communications emanating from our solar system are blended into a vibrato of infinite weave and endless vibrations; The articulated voice modulated from the billions of unique minds generating thoughts and words without end is delivered to the universe through the planet Pluto standing at the brink of chaos. These aggregated thoughts delivered upon the breath of vibrations will go on forever. The universe is speaking to us and we are speaking back.

Science only works in a dark box of finite definition; There is no room in science for metaphor and secret – science only believes what it sees even though they know that the physical universe produces only four percent of the whole. Science is good at gathering information, but their interpretation and explanation is woefully lacking. It is hubris which allows them to dissect our solar system as if it were some dead thing.

The ancients understood the configuration of creation to be the eternal testament of the Creator waiting to be unlocked. By limiting creation to the obvious and not the implicit presents a false picture of reality which inspires errant philosophies about life, like: survival of the fittest. It was humility that the ancients practiced which cave them access to the secrets of creation and it is humility which will open the eyes of the innocent.

Interesting Facts About Flies

If someone was to visit your house and gets flies all over the place, the first thing that hits the guests mind is how dirty you are. They are worst enemies to human beings because they bring hygiene problems that cause diseases to mankind. From time to time when they are in the house they cause discomfort around people and you get people chasing them away manually or with insecticides.

Flies are the most populated insects in the world because there exists a variety of 30,000 different species, the most common being the house fly. What is known by everybody is that houseflies do not bite like other flies. Houseflies do not suck blood directly from people, unless it is a wound yet other flies like insect flies do; they also like breeding in dirty places or on food. Here are other interesting facts about flies that you did not know but would be good for you.

If houseflies invade your house you do not have to worry about how long they will stay because flies can only live for about 30 days and they die. However they lay up to 3,000 eggs within those 30 days so if it is a female in your house be sure they will not go away that easily because the number of the flies will go up.

Unlike other insects that have two pairs of wings, flies have only a pair that, believe it or not, beat up to 200 times per second and the wings stop beating or flying immediately they are on ground.

Have you ever wondered why it is so difficult to kill a fly by hand, even if you think you will not miss? This is because they are so sensitive to movement. They have two eyes with lenses of over 4,000 per eye. So if you want to kill a fly it is advisable you be very fast in your movement.

Another interesting fact about flies is that before they fly they must jump up and move backwards then forward. Though interesting but I bet you did not even know that. Well try being observant and you will see that but only if you are patient enough.

Did you know that flies lay eggs on any food and vomit on it first before feasting? So if you get a fly on your food you can be sure you would not want to eat the food again after knowing this. The reason they vomit on food is because flies can only swallow food in liquid form. Their saliva turns the food in liquid form making it easy for it to swallow.

Flies can defecate for every 4-5 minutes and they do it anywhere. With that you can be sure that they can even do it on your food or on you. May be a reason why it is easy to get diseases from them. Another reason why it is easy for flies to contaminate food is because of their ability to stick on a surface or place for long. This is enabled by the stickiness of the pads of their feet.

Therefore it is important to note that as much as flies do not bite they easily cause diseases by contaminating food. If you eat contaminated food you suffer from diarrhea and other illnesses.
