Practical Ways to Overcome Analysis Paralysis

Are you experiencing Analysis Paralysis or avoidance issues in your business? This is something that occurs in many businesses – you can get so involved with analyzing everything, that you forget you are in business to achieve something – like making money and helping your clients.

Of course, you could just be avoiding doing something – and that has the same impact as analysis paralysis.

Analysis Paralyisis occurs when you become obsessed with knowing EVERYTHING there is to know about something. When you get caught in this trap, you spend all your time analysing, and no time doing – and this is not healthy.

Avoidance generally occurs because you can’t ‘see’ what needs to be done and it all looks too much! Often avoidance occurs because you haven’t done the Analysis….

You most certainly should spend time doing your research and understanding what you’re getting yourself into before you do anything – however, you need to balance that level of analysis with the need to actually do something.

After all, nothing really happens until a sale is made… and a sale only happens when you take action!

Here are some indicators that you might be stuck in Analysis Paralysis or simply avoiding taking action:

  1. You’re constantly researching and in doing so, you find more that you need to know before you can move forward.
  2. You keep asking the same question, of the same and different people, and getting the same answer – but you want a different answer
  3. You’re too busy to implement any of the strategies you decide on
  4. Something else always comes up that needs attention – at times, the filing may seem very important!

You may sometimes find yourself sitting at your desk organizing the icons the desktop – and it’s when that happens that you should stop and ask yourself why you’re really doing it…. This is a sure sign that you are avoiding something!

Fear Plays A Part

Sometimes, Analysis Paralysis and Avoidance is due to fear – fear of not knowing enough, fear of failing or possibly fear of succeeding (to name a few) – and we really have to overcome that fear.

Sometimes, doing the analysis helps allay our fears – particularly the fear of not knowing however, be aware that we can take analysis to a level that it becomes avoidance!

But What About Overwhelm?

Sometimes the lack of action is due, purely and simply, to OVERWHELM. There is so much information to take in, so many things to do to make that action happen, so many people to coordinate – that we freeze and don’t know where to start and we literally freeze. (Sometimes, you may just want to go back to bed and pretend the world doesn’t exist!)

How Can You Help You?

When this happens, break the activities down into very, tiny chunks really helps.

Then, write out a step by step plan to just get started. By ‘chunking it down’, you will be able to tick off the activities as you do them and feel a real sense of achievement, which then helps me take the next step. Before you know it, you’ve finished your project and moving forward!

It sometimes difficult doing this by yourself, so try working with an accountability partner or a coach, to gain clarity around what is important, what isn’t, what can be done now and what needs to wait until other activities are finished.

Most importantly, be honest with yourself – this will help you get clear and avoid the analysis paralysis.

External Hemorrhoid Treatment Without Surgery

If you are looking for an external hemorrhoid treatment, then this article may provide you with some good ideas on what you can use. But before we go into the details of these remedies, let us take a look at what it is that you are suffering from.

Hemorrhoids are those varicose veins and swollen tissues that are found in the rectum and anus region. There are two types of hemorrhoids, classified according to where they are located. Internal hemorrhoids are found inside the anal canal while the external ones are located outside of this canal.

The external hemorrhoids are the fleshy growth of enlarged veins and tissues that bulge outside of the anus, right under the skin that is surrounding the anal opening.

This type of hemorrhoids cause pain, discomfort, itching, burning and can bleed if not treated. If the vein breaks and bleeds, a pool of blood will form under the skin causing a hard, bluish lump resulting in Thrombosis. You need external hemorrhoid treatment when this happens.

Sufferers will usually find Thrombosed hemorrhoids very painful and quite unbearable. They occur in many middle-aged people. However there are many external hemorrhoid treatments to opt for and one does not have to be too overly concerned about the problem if they are doing something about it.

There are many modern and traditional methods that can help you deal with the condition.

One simple external hemorrhoid treatment is the taking of sitz baths. Fill your bath tub with warm water, just enough to cover the anal area. Soak for approximately 10-15 minutes. You need to do this several times a day. These baths are effective for relieving the pain and itching. It may also help in the shrinking of the hemorrhoids. The application of witch hazel after the bath on the affected area can be very helpful as well. This can be applied with the help of baby wipes.

To deal with the pain, you may also use non-prescription pain relievers such as Aspirin or the various other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. They can be effective in reducing the pain and swelling. Applying a warm, damp towel to the affected area a few times a day can bring some relief from the discomfort too.

If you want to apply medication, you should consult a doctor to determine the severity and the nature of your problem in order to know what is the best external hemorrhoid treatment to use. There are many topical creams and pills that you can take. Your doctor should be the best person to advise you.

Bad Breath Often Caused by Tonsil Stones

A very common cause of bad breath, also known as halitosis is the accumulation of tonsil stones (also known as tonsilloliths). These tonsil stones are white or yellowish balls that grow inside the tonsillar crypts.

Sometimes they are swallowed or gothed up. Some people describe the feeling as having something stuck at the back of your throat. Although they do not really hurt, they can be very uncomfortable. They can also be a very embarrassing condition for those who suffer from them because of the foul odor they emanate.

Tonsil stones are often the underlying reason a person has bad breath or halitosis, tonsillitis and sore throats. If you cough one up and squeeze it, there is a very strong odor. The odor is best described as similar to the smell of rotten eggs. This smell is actually created by an anaerobic bacteria which is a sulfur compound.

You can not get rid of the tonsilloliths by frequent brushing, mouthwash or mints. They may mask the odor for a while, but the tonsil stones will still be there. Thus, the odor they produce will return. A person living with tonsil stones can find themselves to be very conscious and always worried about their bad breath.

In addition to bad breath, some people also experience sore throats or white lumps that appear out of nowhere, coughing and throat infections. Antibiotics or antiseptics are not very effective in removing the tonsil stones.

Yet, there are a couple of ways to effectively eliminate tonsil stones often in the comfort of your own home. Some people recommend various homeopathic remedies or Chinese herbs

Type 2 Diabetes – Is There A Connection Between ADHD and Diabetes?

ADHD is a term used to describe a neurodevelopment disorder where there is a persistent and recognized pattern of behavior. The condition begins at birth and in most cases persists to some degree through the person's lifetime. The disorder includes …

  • acting on impulse without thinking about the consequences,
  • having difficulty staying on task, and
  • moving about inappropriately.

A person diagnosed with ADHD may continue interrupt others or feel unable to sit still, fidget, be disorganized, or can not stick to specific tasks. This is not due to the lack of cooperation or the inability to understand directions. If this sounds familiar it is because all of us occasionally suffer the same signs and symptoms. The difference is one of degree. When ADHD interferees with work, school, or life, in general, it can come to the attention of a therapist, who must …

  • decide among medications,
  • behavioral treatment, or a
  • combination of both.

Early research has shown young people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are at risk for developing Type 2 diabetes, but what is it for ADHD? Obesity, high blood pressure, and abnormal blood fats are seen in both conditions. Could one of them cause both? Or is there something else they have in common? Scientists at Taipei Veterans General Hospital and several other research facilities on Taiwan set out to find the answer, and in May of 2018, the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry reported their findings.

The investigators compared …

  • 35,949 young people with ADHD, and
  • 71,898 healthy individuals of the same age and gender.

The young people with ADHD had three times the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes than non-ADHD individuals. Those with ADHD taking atypical antipsychotic medications were more than twice as likely to develop Type 2 diabetes than those who were receiving other types of treatment. From these results, the researchers concluded atypical antipsychotics could have been involved in the development of Type 2 diabetes, and further study is needed to resolve this possibility.

The possibility of developing Type 2 diabetes is not the only concern when psychiatric medications are given. The risk of …

  • movement disorders,
  • stroke,
  • heart attack, and
  • blood clots

are also associated with some medications.

Behavioral therapy is the choice of many clinicians. Children with ADHD can be helped with …

  • regular schedules,
  • keeping diaries, and
  • careful supervision.

Structured environments let people know what to expect and what is expected of them. A team approach including clinicians, teachers, and parents is a safe and frequently effective approach.

Are Parents to Blame For Childhood Obesity?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, over the past three decades the obesity rate for children between the ages of 6-11 has tripled. As a result the cases of childhood Type 2 diabetes has exploded, as has the number of cases of bone and joint problems caused by excessive weight.  Our super-sized society is literally jeopardizing the health of our children. From big gulps to “biggie sized” fast food meals –  society promotes unhealthy eating habits in our children.

Yet, even inside the home we continue to encourage poor feeding habits. Typically parents will tell kids to eat everything on their plate, yet our plate sizes have grown over the last decades. Nine inch diameter dinner plates were once the norm. Now eleven inch diameter dinner plates are commonplace. May not sound like much of a difference but realize that an eleven inch plate holds 33% more food than a nine inch plate.  The result – we are simply over-feeding our children.  What can you do to help fight the epidemic of childhood obesity? Try these tips. They’ll encourage healthy habits in your kids and keep more of your hard earned money in your wallet.  Switch to smaller plates.

Simply moving from an 11 inch dinner plate to a 9 inch dinner plate will result in you serving 33% less food. The best thing is that after a few nights your family won’t even mind the difference. You save money and help to ensure the health of your children by serving less food.  Stop purchasing potato chips, cupcakes, and other junk food for the house. Instead, make your children purchase their candy, chips, and other snack foods with their allowance. This once simple step will teach your children about financial decision making at an early age. It will also likely result in a reduction in the amount of junk food they consume.  Make a habit of serving water instead of juice with one meal a day.

Try to make it the same meal each day, say with every lunch or with every dinner. Water is a healthy alternative and much cheaper than juice.  Similarly, consider diluting the juice your family drinks. The average juice drink is chock full of high fructose corn syrup and artificial colors. Simply dilute your juice by adding 20% water. You save money and your children get a drink with less high fructose corn syrup in it.   Taking just a few of these simple steps can ensure healthy eating habits that last a lifetime while saving you money at the very same time.

Pupp Pregnancy Rash – What is Pupps and When Will it Go Away

If it's not difficult enough to deal with abdominal pressure, sleep difficulties and hormonal changes during pregnancy, some women also go through a pupps rash or "pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy". This is a very itchy rash that can appear all of a sudden on your abdomen as well as spread to the thighs and butt area. Some women also will have this on their arms as well.

It occurs in less than one percent of women, but if you are in that group you know how frightening and uncomfortable the pupps rash can be. There are different theories about the causes. Some say it happens more if you are pregnant with a boy. Others say that is due to the distension of the abdominal area. Still others say it's hormones. Usually it occurs in the last 3 months of pregnancy, but some women will get it earlier. They will not hurt the baby and for most women the rash ends shortly after delivery of the child.

The biggest complaints are the itching, sleep difficulties and self-consciousness about one's appearance. Some tips are to wear lose clothing, do not expose yourself to settings where you may perspire and getting a

spray from to spray cold water on your body.

A physician can give you a cortisone cream to help ease the itching and most pediatricians say that taking an oral histamine is fine. You will need to check with your own physician. Oatmeal baths are soothing, though temporary. Be careful to avoid scratching as this can result in scarring or a bacterial infection.

There are also home remedies some say were helpful including using pine tar soap, lukewarm showers, baking soda pastes, tea tree oil, flax seed oil and ice packs. Using a relaxation cd or soft music can be helpful as itching often is increased by stress and anxiety. Know that it is temporary and that your baby will be a wonderful joy coming soon.

Sinus and Nasal Mucus – Its Hues, the Allergy Connection and How to Get Rid of It

Coming in a variety of hues and consistencies it is one of the most loathsome, annoying aspects of our humanity. Yet, have you surprised if those hues mucus comes in really mean anything? Or, is it just another way nature chooses to display its many color splendors – here to camouflage a yucky, but vital function? Could some relevant data about it make it more bearable next time you may have to deal with it? Let's try.

Mucus is to our respiratory (breathing) organs both: a filter and a humidifier. These two functions are vital for keeping this wonderful breathing machine of ours working smoothly. They prevent it from becoming clogged or contaminated. Imagine what would happen if all the viruses, germs and foreign particles mucus traps were allowed to roam free and bring their nefurious results. Life would be pretty miserable. Mucus not only traps, but dispossess of those undesirable elements in an ingenious manner. It also washed away irritants that otherwise would torment us like: itchy noses, infected sinuses, long coughing spells.

Mucus hues

Allergies, on the other hand, often are a significant player in the production of nasal and sinus mucus. The key word is: "irritation," of the sinus and nasal membranes by such things as: house dust, pollens, smoke, smog, chemical fumes, dust particles. Those membranes are programmed to get rid of anything that is foreign to them or biochemically unacceptable. Thus they produce an abundance of secret to wash off whatever it deems potentially damaging. This secretion is a form of mucus called histamine . It is usually clear, but if an infection develops it changes to a light yellow, then to a darker yellow. Finally, if a bacterial secondary infection should happen to develop also the color could turn green.

Allergies

The best thing is to avoid the allergic irritation in the first place. This can be accomplished by blocking the body's automatic immune system response to incoming perceived threats; so that the production of histamine is blocked. And here is the reason why antihistamines have become a popular medication. The downside to this simple therapy is that they have side effects. One of them is drowsiness, with its potential risks if one needs to drive, work with machinery, etc. Sometimes, however, the allergic reactions are so overwhelming that antihistamines are not very effective. In those cases the immune system needs to be desensitized to specific allergens.

How to get rid of mucus

If you suspect some specific item is causing you severe allergic reaction get close to that item. Breath deeply and see what happens. If you are allergic to it you will soon know it: sneezing, profuse histamine production, itchy eyes, nose or both, will immediately follow. Depending on the severity of the reaction you may want to consider seeing an allergy specialist who may recommend skin allergy tests. They are performed by injecting very small amounts of serum, of the suspected allergen, just below the skin to see what kind of reaction it produces. For example, a red disk around the injured spot would be a positive reaction; the size of the disk would indicate the severity of the reaction. The testing is reliably painless and it is the best way to determine if you have allergies to which you may need to be desensitized. This, then, is accomplished by means of regular allergy injections.

If you have a chronic abundance of mucus and allergy tests reveal strong sensitivity to certain allergens, the best way to get rid of that mucus and begin to enjoy life more normally again is to take allergy injections regularly.

Fear of Flying and The Fear of Heights

It is obvious why someone with the fear of heights would also have a fear of flying. The real question should be, can you cure it? If your phobia of heights keeps you from doing what you want and going where you want to go, then it's time to take action!

If you have a fear of flying and you think that it is from your fear of heights, you may recognize these symptoms:

– hot flushed feeling
– heart beat speeds up
– suddenly start feeling scared
– muscle tension
– shaking
– shortness of breaths

These symptoms are similar to those of many phobias. You may start shake, sweat, cry / yell out for help. You may even feel like you can not breathe. The fear of heights is also known as acrophobia and it can prevent you from doing things you want. You may avoid flying at all with the fear of heights, but if you want to see the world, visit family, or just go on a nice vacation, you need to cure your fear.

Acrophobia can be caused by several different reasons. It could be from your childhood, or maybe from an anxiety you already have. People sometimes confuse acrophobia with vertigo, but they are very different. Vertigo is a specific medical condition that causes a person to feel dizzy, while the fear of heights just causes similar symptoms.

Unlike most phobias, the fear of heights can actually cause harm to a person. The imagined fear of falling could come true if a person is in a situation where they start to shake and could actually hurt themselves. That is the weird thing about this phobia … fearing it could actually cause harm. It's important to know that there are cures for this phobia.

Anxiety is not always necessarily a bad thing. If you decide to stand at the edge of a high cliff, you SHOULD feel scared and probably would start to see some of the symptoms. It's a natural reaction to fear. Standing at the edge of a cliff could be a risk for your life. Anxiety could actually save one's life because it creates the person's common sense.

Anxiety becomes a problem when it is preventing you from doing the things you want to do … like flying on an airplane. If acrophobia is preventing you from flying, then you should defiantly find help for it because it could be affecting your life negatively!

Black Fingernail

If you have a black fingernail, you may be wondering whether it is caused by a fungal infection under the nail. This may well be the case, however, other things can cause a nail to turn black, so it's important to consider other possibilities and possibly consult your doctor before jumping to conclusions.

Fungal infection of fingernails and toenails is called onychomycosis. Only a few species of fungus are capable of invading human hair and nails – they often gain access through a break in the skin or under the nail at the tip of the finger or toe. Because they derive their nutrients from the protein found in human nails and dead skin cells, these fungi do not invade healthy tissue. Instead, they invade the matrix of the nail itself and grow there, causing a black fingernail or toenail.

Onychomycosis is quite common: more than ten percent of the North American population will experience a fungal nail infection at some time in their lives: it is probably the most common cause of nail abnormalities in the general population, however, there are other causes. A blow to the affected nail is the most obvious alternative. When a nail or the root of a nail is stuck so that blood vessels are broken and a breeze forms under the nail, a black area develops that takes a very long time to clear up. Depending on the severity of the bleeding, the whole nail or only part of the nail will be affected. Nails grow very slowly and bruises are just slow to disappear even after soreness subsides – a black nail that persists long after the initial injury is no cause for alarm. It will grow out in time.

Nail injuries are, however, the route of entry for other organism that can either live in and under the nail without causing a problem or set up an infection in exposed tissue. Some species of bacteria are known to colonize spaces in nail beds without causing infection. Some of these bacteria produce color changes, although shades of green are more typical than black. The bacterial colonies can persist for long periods of time without causing noticeable inflammation. Various species of yeast can set up severe and progressive infections of the nail bed and tissues around the nail, however these infections usually do not cause a black fingernail, and are generally sufficient enough that the need for medical attention is obvious. Yeast infections are, in fact, another form of onychomycosis.

If you have not suffered a nail injury and your black fingernail is slowly progressing and causing the nail to become thick, deformed, and crumbly, you may have true onychomycosis. Typically, infected nails are white, yellow, brown or black, and variations on these shades may be present. The infection often starts on a toenail and progresses to other toes and fingers, and is very resistant to treatment. If you suspect you have a fungal nail infection, make an appointment with your physician for a proper diagnosis.

Pancreatic Digestive Enzymes Deficiency

“You are what you eat”. Everybody is familiar with this proverb. And many people take this saying to heart, trying to regularly eat nutritious foods so that they will stay healthy. But for optimal health it is necessary for a body to be able to digest and absorb the nutrients in food. If a person lacks the necessary pancreatic enzymes for digestion, then the body has difficult time digesting food and absorbing key nutrients.

Most digestion and absorption takes place in the small intestine and uses a mix of digestive enzymes from the pancreas and the liver bile. Digestive enzymes are comprised of amylase, protease, and lipase. Food cannot be digested properly if enzyme production is low. Similarly, individual digestive enzymes must be strong enough to digest anything that is eaten. Not enough enzymes or the creation of weak enzymes may inhibit proper digestion, which can lead to a variety of chronic disorders throughout the body.

A healthy pancreas is essential for optimal digestion and absorption. Without sufficient digestion good health is impossible.

Improper Pancreatic Exocrine Function

Before the small intestine begins digesting food, pancreatic enzymes and liver bile are mixed together in a small cavity called the Ampulla of Vater. These digestive enzymes are then released into the duodenum, or the first part of the small intestine, where they begin the work of digesting food.

The “exocrine function” of the pancreas describes the process of the pancreas producing enzymes. Pancreatic exocrine insufficiency occurs when the pancreas does not produce a sufficient amount of active digestive enzymes for proper digestion to take place. When food is improperly digested (indigestion), valuable nutrients are lost rather than being absorbed into the bloodstream. This lack of absorption can lead to malnutrition.

Pancreatic digestive enzymes can only function in an alkaline environment. But “chyme”, or the thick semi-fluid mass of partly digested food that moves from the stomach to the duodenum, is acidic from being immersed in stomach acids. To counteract the acid, the pancreas releases a large amount of minerals and bicarbonates, which neutralizes the chyme. If the pancreas cannot release enough bicarbonates and minerals to neutralize the acid, then the digestive enzymes lose their potency and are unable to adequately break up the food.

At this time, an estimated 58% of Americans suffer from some sort of digestive disorder. These huge numbers indicate that poor pancreatic exocrine function is not a hereditary problem, but a lifestyle problem. Many factors are known to contribute to the development of digestive issues, such as poor chewing of food, “eating on the run”, eating late in the day, and smoking after meals. Prolonged alcohol usage is an especially large factor in pancreatic problems. All of the above can result in insufficient enzyme production.

Certain dietary choices may also place stress on the body’s digestive capacity, such as the excessive consumption of alcohol, refined carbohydrates, sugars, and bad fats. Problems are also caused by eating a lot of meat, and eating a predominantly “cooked food diet”. Cooked and processed foods have lost most of their natural enzymes – enzymes that make it easier for the human digestive system to do its job. Eating foods that do not contain enzymes is a major factor contributing to improper exocrine pancreatic function and indigestion. Unfortunately, Americans have a tendency to eat foods that have been cooked or processed and to not eat enough healthy raw foods.

Dr. Edward Howell, a famous American nutritional researcher, looks at the problem of poor pancreatic function in his book “Enzyme Nutrition”. He cites numerous animal studies that show how animals fed diets, that are deficient in enzymes, suffer from an enlargement of the pancreas. Dr. Howell postulates that the pancreas must become larger to make larger amounts of digestive enzymes.

More enzymes help to compensate for the huge amounts of pancreatic enzymes necessary to digest foods that contain no naturally occurring enzymes. The pancreas of the modern man (or woman) is working equally hard and is becoming exhausted. It should come as no surprise, then, that it has become commonplace for elderly individuals to experience diminished digestive enzyme secretion as well as a decrease in hydrochloric acid production.

Acidity is another factor that affects exocrine pancreatic function and that can cause indigestion. Acidic food, an acidic lifestyle, and an acidic environment can cause an “acidic” pancreas. An acidic pancreas occurs when the body’s pancreatic juice does not have enough minerals and bicarbonates because the body is using them elsewhere in its struggle to maintain a healthy pH in the blood. Normally blood has a pH of 7.4, which is slightly alkaline. This slight alkalinity is necessary for the proper functioning of the brain, lung, and heart cells.

The pancreas is a particularly alkaline gland because digestive pancreatic enzymes only become active in an alkaline environment. Acidity literally kills pancreatic function, which leads to indigestion, deficiencies of vital nutrients, and deficiencies of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Poor digestion caused by excessive acidity can be the underlying cause of many diseases and disorders.

Symptoms of improper exocrine pancreatic function include:

o Abdominal cramps

o Bloating and abdominal distending

o Fullness that lasts 2-4 hours after eating

o Flatulence

o Alternating constipation and diarrhea

o Weakness, fatigue

o Food sensitivity, allergies, and more.

Ongoing improper exocrine pancreatic function can cause a state of pancreatic exocrine insufficiency. Pancreatic exocrine insufficiency is a condition caused by a shortage of digestive enzymes. It is commonly associated with diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Celiac Disease, and Candida-yeast overgrowth. Pancreatic exocrine insufficiency can also be caused by acute pancreatitis and chronic pancreatitis the two most common diseases affecting the pancreas. Prolonged alcohol usage can also cause fewer digestive enzymes to be produced.

Pancreatic exocrine insufficiency can be developed as a symptom of the chronic pancreatitis, after some abdominal surgeries, and hereditary disorders such as cystic fibrosis.

If improper exocrine pancreatic function and pancreatic insufficiency are not addressed at an early enough stage, the patient might experience pancreatic failure. Pancreatic failure occurs when pancreatic function falls below 10% and causes severe metabolic disturbances, abrupt weight loss, and malabsorption syndrome.

Treatment of Pancreatic Problems

Treating improper exocrine pancreatic function, pancreatic insufficiency, and pancreatic failure is complicated. Treatment can require several different treatment methods performed by several different health practitioners. Treatment will almost certainly include an overhaul of the patient’s lifestyle, beginning with examining eating habits and addictions.

To help people with pancreatic conditions we have been successfully used non-drug and non-surgical methods for 30 years. They include:

o A diet of healing foods

o Drinking healing mineral water made from the Genuine Karlovy Vary Thermal Spring Salt (it is available in US)

o Botanical Medicine

o Acupuncture and Point Massage

o Nutritional Supplementation

o In office hypnosis, or self-hypnosis at home with a customized CD

o Colon Hydrotherapies to restore friendly intestinal flora

The above treatments are safe and effective and can be combined with medications, surgeries, endoscopic procedures, physical therapies, etc.

Furthermore, European doctors have been using Genuine Karlovy Vary Thermal Spring Salt to prepare healing mineral water and treat patients with pancreatic disorders for 250 years. Many European books and articles scientifically confirm the effectiveness of the mineral water treatment, and it is easy to use at home – the salt simply needs to be dissolved in a glass of warm water.

An Internet search of “Scientific explanation how the Karlovy Vary Healing Mineral Water may help people with pancreatic disorders” can give you more information about this topic. Information is also available at http://www.biotherapy-clinic.com.

Alternative therapy can improve the quality of life and the life span for sufferers of pancreatic insufficiency, and even patients with pancreatic failure.

Menopause Symptoms

The symptoms that menopausal women report vary broadly. All women experience irregular or shorter periods during the year or so before their periods stop altogether. The majority of women going through menopause also experience hot flashes. These typically begin with a feeling of mild to intense warmth in the upper part of the body, spreading to the face. Hot flashes may last for several minutes, and be accompanied by sweating and blushing. Their severity varies from mild to causing extreme discomfort. In some women, hot flashes may occur while asleep, causing them to wake up, resulting in insomnia or sleeplessness. Headaches and a racing heartbeat may also be experienced during menopause, sometimes coinciding with hot flashes and adding to overall discomfort.

Women going through menopause may experience a number of emotional symptoms. These include irritability, depression, anxiety, fatigue, lowered motivation and tension. While these emotional symptoms are a normal part of menopause, they may also be found in a variety of other conditions. It is best to consult a doctor if emotions are getting in the way of normal daily activities.

Many women have joint and muscle aches during menopause. Some of these women may be developing osteoporosis, a condition in which bones become weak. Hormonal changes during menopause, and a lack of sufficient physical activity, aggravate the development of osteoporosis. A doctor should properly evaluate any joint or muscle pain.

A distressing symptom some women experience during menopause is some loss of bladder control. Decreased estrogen levels cause this; estrogen helps keep the pelvic muscles that control the bladder strong.

Women going through menopause typically experience reduced sex drive. Some of this is attributable to vaginal dryness that develops during menopausal hormonal changes. Insomnia, depression, anxiety and other symptoms experienced during menopause may also contribute to reduced libido.

Menopausal women suffer a range of symptoms in varying severity: loss of periods, hot flashes, emotional disturbance, joint and muscle aches, bladder weakness and loss of libido. Fortunately, much is known about their origins, and there are many treatments available to improve them.

How many failed IUI's and IVF's have you had? Four? Five? Seven? Have you heard this "you are producing beautiful embryos, your lining looks great and your husbands sperm is off the charts"? How many failed donor eggs cycles have you had?

You may be a victim of poor diagnosis. For example, how many of you have had a fluid ultra sound? If you have not, raise your hand. Did you know … one polyp residing in the uterine cavity can prevent implantation? Did you know that frequently a transvaginal ultra sound can not detect a polyp but a fluid ultra sound always can?

Let's look at a common scenario together. You are thirty-nine years old and you have an fsh of 17 and you have endometriosis. Your doctor thinks that you are not getting pregnant because you have an inflammatory disorder (endometriosis), and that you have poor egg quality, and low ovarian reserve indicated by your age and fsh levels respectively. But, if you have a regular period, the odds are that you still have some good eggs and may have a chance to conceive, else why would your doctor be willing to proceed with an IVF embryo transfer.

The fact that you have been diagnosed with endometriosis indicates that you have had surgically addressed and so now its clinical relevance is diminished. Now its down to egg quality and ovarian reserve. If you still menstruate regularly, you still have some good eggs even if your fsh is 17.

So why are you not conceiving? Perhaps because of a physical obstruction, ie, a polyp or worse, multiple polyps. Polyps are easily, painlessly and quickly removed via a hysteroscopy. So, instead of continuing to have ivf after ivf and failure after failure why not rule out possible hidden causes of your problem with simple procedures? I am not trying to insinuate that all infertility stems from improper diagnosis; sometimes woman can not conceive for reasons which are beyond the scope of current diagnostic tools. I am, however, suggesting that many cases of infertility can be successfully treated where heretofore, they have not.

Did you know that day 3 embryos with less than 6 cells and more than 10 cells are often indicative of poor sperm quality? Yes I know: your husband had a normal semen analysis. But, has he had a sperm DNA fragment assay? This test can reveal a hidden sperm pathology that may be contributing to your inability to conceive?

If his sperm tests normal from the perspectives of volume, count, motility, and volume and you are producing day 3 embryos with less than 6 cells or more than 10 cells, he should have this test. Frequently this test is not performed because your doctor does not believe in this test and would not know what to do with the results anyway. Doctors will tell you that the only challenge that sperm with fragmented DNA poses is their susceptibility to penetrate an egg, so the answer is simple: do ICSI. ICSI is a process whereupon the sperm is injected into the egg enabling forced fertilization. So your egg is being fertilized with a sperm that could not, on it's own, have done this. Essentially, by default, you are ending up with a less than optimal embryo which may yield a pregnancy which may either result in miscarriage or produce a male child with the same problem as his dad with his future family planning requiring IVF with ICSI.

So, are we not, through these 'band-aid' procedures facilitating a nation of weakened children and actually contributing to a generation of infertile couples?

You're wondering what the solution is. Well that begets a question. If you had type 2 diabetes and were very overweight and had insulin resistance you could do two things to get better: 1) take Metformin and possible other medications or you could change your diet, lose weight, exercise and cure your-self.

One approach is a 'band-aid' approach and one approach is to address the problem at its root. The solution lies ahead.

Back to sperm DNA fragmentation. Before we can hope to address a 'root' treatment we first need to know what causes the problem. Reactive oxidative species or 'ROS' causes fragmentation of the DNA in the sperm. ROS is caused by environmental assault such as exposure to certain chemicals, toxins, etc., which can come from smoking marijuana or cigarettes, testicular injury or testicluar surgery allowing antibodies to enter the testicular environment and cause damage.

The severity of DNA fragmentation is determined by the amount of sperm that is affected. 0 to 15% is indicative of good outcomes in IVF procedures; 15% to 29% means that chances are fair to good; numbers above 29% typically do not result in live births.

In the idiopathic (no known cause) infertile couple, a full diagnosis has not been rendered without a sperm DNA fragmentation test. What is the cure? The eradication of free radicals which manifest as a result of ROS.

How? acupuncture (stimulates blood to the testis helping to send more oxygen and nutrients and dispel dead cells), herbs which have anti oxidant properties, vitamins C and E which have strong anti oxidant properties and daily intake of wheatgrass juice. There is no traditional Western medical approach to the successful treatment of sperm DNA fragmentation.

Is medical ego possibly a contributing factor to the paucity of testing done for this significant pathology? In other words: if the doctor does not believe 'in the test then it will not be done. Can you see air? Can you see microorganisms? Can you see God? Can you see energy? No, no, no and no. Do you believe in their existence? Is your day to day behavior not based upon your belief in these entities even though you have never seen even one of them?

There are some people that do not believe in the existence of God or microorganisms. Does their lack of concern indicate the lack of existence of these things? It is the wise person who, although belief may not be held, understands that there is a possibility of existence nonetheless.

Did you know that endometriosis is an autoimmune disease than can cause infertility even in the absence of damaged fallopian tubes? Another interesting thing that you should be aware of is that when one has an autoimmune disease such as endometriosis there are often other autoimmune factors which can contribute to infertility which have not been diagnosed; but they should have been. I always recommend a full autoimmune evaluation when one of my patients presents with a known autoimmune disease to rule out the possibility of other, asymptomatic autoimmune disorders which can cause infertility.

The reason for the paucity of testing for autoimmune disorders which are known to contribute to infertility is that many doctors do not believe that autoimmune disorders can contribute to infertility. The terms yin and yang according to traditional Chinese medicine, means, among other things balance. Balance, according to the traditions of Chinese medicine is required for health, and imbalance is what leads to sickness. Would you agree that an immune system which acts inappropriately against it's host representations an imbalance? And, does it make clinical sense to try to rebalance the behavior of organ / endocrine systems to re-institute health?

Let me tell you an interesting story: when the surgeon general first advised the nation that there was a direct link between lung cancer and other cancers with cigarette smoking, most doctors who smoked (many, many did) continued to do so because they did not ' t believe what the surgeon general said. Now, years later, most doctors do not smoke because they became convinced of the validity of the surgeon general's report. So, sometimes, years from now, many reproductive endocrinologists will eventually understand the clinical significance of certain autoimmune disorders in so far as their role in infertility is concerned.

An example of an autoimmune disorder which can cause infertility is activated natural killer cells. These cells are meant to kill cancer in the uterus. They do so by spraying something called TNF-alpha or tumor necrosis factor on tumors, killing them, and in the best case scenario, saving the patient from endometrial cancer.

However, in one with an autoimmune mitigated hyperactivity of activated NK cells, these cells spray TNF-alpha on the embryos, instantly killing them causing infertility. This again is a hidden pathology as it presents with no signs or symptoms.

The appropriate treatment is intralipid therapy or intravenous immunoglobulin therapy, both of which have been shown to positively effect pregnancy outcomes in patients presenting with highly activated NK cells.

Again, this is the band-aid approach and, in many cases a band-aid approach is not a bad thing; if it works, it works and at the end of the day that's all we want.

To include a modality of medicine which can regulate immune function so that the body can behay normally again also makes sense. Acupuncture and herbal medicine can frequently manifest in this regulation of the immune system. This is how acupuncture and herbal medicine helps patients who are HIV + or in full blown AIDS to feel better and stronger – by immune function regulation to whatever extensible.

Infertility treatment is still in its infancy stage. There have been more than three million babies born as a result of IVF. But this is similar to the concept that many people with cancer have been saved by medical intervention. Both are true, yet the fact remains many more people die from cancer than who are saved and many more IVF's have been done without the production of a baby.

As time goes on, more and more research will yield better treatment approaches and perhaps one day infertility will not exist. In the mean time however it is my contention that all testing, even testing that may present a greater insight into the cause of a couples infertility should be rendered and, the root cause of the problem should simultaneously be treated with natural medicine such as acupuncture and herbs.

Western medicine is superior to Chinese medicine in treating the manifestation of an undering disorder or lack of harmony in the functioning of the body but traditional Chinese medicine is, in my opinion (based on clinical experience) three years of data superior in reveating the human body and spirit at the deepest levels. Therefore, the best approach to treatment of the infertile couple is to employ both modititities of intervention. This is the solution!

Steps For Treating Yeast Infection With Hydrogen Peroxide

If you catch an infection early enough, this home remedy for treating a yeast infection with hydrogen peroxide will help you rid yourself of that horrible smelling, painfully nasty yeast infection. Here are the steps for treating yeast infection with hydrogen peroxide.

The first of the steps for treating yeast infection with hydrogen peroxide is to take a tampon and soak it in yogurt for a short while. Take the tampon and insert it and wear over night. The reason this works is that yogurt contains lactobacillus acidophilus bacteria which creates hydrogen peroxide which in turn kills the yeast.

You may also choose to take a spoon or something of the sort and scoop the yogurt into your vaginal area instead. This does the same thing for treating yeast infection with hydrogen peroxide as the above method.

Be aware of the fact that this is only a temporary cure and doesn’t cure the root cause of the yeast infection which is a build of of the fungus candida in your body. Only proper diet can begin to balance the candida fungus in your body and completely eliminate any further outbreaks.

You may also wish to make a douche with hydrogen peroxide instead. This may take repeated uses however, and may also burn. Especially if your infection is inflamed or serious. Acquire a sterile douche bottle as well as hydrogen peroxide. The reason this works so well is that the peroxide breaks down into water and oxygen, and the oxygen helps to kill off the infection. This is also very safe as the peroxide breaks down into water very quickly.

Pour the peroxide into the douche bottle and mix with water. You may want to make the solution a little bit stronger, however, start with 3 parts of water for every 1 part of peroxide. If it is to strong, dilute even more. Continue to repeat this douche until all symptoms are gone. This may take a couple of days as a method for treating a yeast infection with hydrogen peroxide.
