The Perfect Lawyer to Handle Your Mesothelioma Case

When diagnosed with mesothelioma, you are 80 percent likely to have been previously exposed to asbestos, which means that you are able to seek compensation through a lawsuit. Mesothelioma is a deadly disease that negatively affects the protective covering of many vital organs.

Manufacturing companies such as the ones in the cement industry, shipyards, and many others all exposed their workers to asbestos. Mesothelioma attorneys are always on hand to represent the inflicted. However, there are a couple of good traits to look for in a mesothelioma attorney. Make sure they have all the proper licenses and registrations to practice law in your state. You should feel comfortable with the attorney’s wealth of experience. It is important to have your case handled by someone who has taken tough cases and won. Make sure that when asking about his record the attorney has evidence to back up his claims, because lawyers are no strangers to marketing.

The internet is a good place to look for mesothelioma attorneys, who are always advertising to possible clients. Because they benefit from the affliction of this disease, it is a business decision to take your case to the lawyer. You also need to understand the chances of winning the case. A good mesothelioma attorney will also be paid once the cases over. It’s usually above 40 percent. Make sure you dial in the payment terms for your case with your attorney. There are also lawyers who advertise themselves on a nationwide scale to try to hit as many clients as possible. This will be deceiving when you start looking for an attorney, because using these large forms can be a hassle; in other words, you need to find someone who practices within your state.

This will make a low stress environment when you’re planning for corporate meetings and appearances. Voters should also be able to relay information for you, in layman’s terms. It is important to do research on the background of the attorney you choose to help determine their confidence level. Good attorneys offer advice to you for a free or not. Just because they’re an attorney does not make them are infallible, and your opinion should still weigh in on certain issues pertaining to the case. When you have picked a satisfactory lawyer you are free to focus your efforts on the medical and emotional ordeals that come with mesothelioma.

More Reasons to Quit Smoking

Smoking is one of the leading cause of heart attacks among people in their thirties and forties, but, unfortunately, most people still need an alarming health report and quit smoking only on prescription. What’s worse, when it comes to persuading smokers to quit smoking, health arguments don’t always work.

The majority of smokers want to quit and have tried to quit smoking in the past 12 months, but only around 1% of smokers who try to quit on their own successfully do so. That is because the relapse rate among them is very high. After trying to quit smoking two to three times, they become frustrated and start smoking even more. However, if given psychological counseling, the quit rate improves to 11%.

Anyway, smoker should be motivated enough to quit smoking, or, if we try to think positively, smoker need grave reasons not to smoke during hard smoking cessation period, when nicotine addiction in collaboration with smoker’s mind are going to find tons of reasons to smoke “just one”. Below are just some reasons to quit smoking:

– You will be able to enjoy flowers, food, fresh air, taste of food, etc. far better

– You will be less wrinkly. After 10 years, smoking can speed up your skin’s aging process by narrowing your skin’s blood vessels and damaging the tissues that give the skin its strength and elasticity.

– Quitting smoking will improve the color of your teeth and fingers… otherwise, yes, they are yellow… and will be brown.

– Clean up your children’s lungs. Secondhand smoke is now believed to be a risk factor for children to develop asthma; it also contributes to respiratory infections, such as pneumonia and bronchitis, and ear infections, as well as coughing, wheezing, and decreased lung function.

– You will be more patient. Smoking addiction raises irritation levels. You will be more calm. Addiction causes anxiety that smoking temporarily relieves.

All smokers harbor the secret hope that they will be spared the disease and death that follows nicotine addiction. We tell ourselves we’ll quit in time and somehow dodge the bullet that smoking is. But with four million people dying every year due to tobacco use around the world, the odds are not in our favor. So, quit smoking to be free and have more control over your life. The Nervous System – A High Speed Connection

The Internet as we know it may well have had the human nervous system as its inspiration.

The nervous system relies on a high-speed communications network to alert the brain to information that affects all areas of the body.

For instance the impulses sent from the nervous system to the brain travel at up to 250 miles per hour. This is infinitely faster than the endocrine system that sends hormones through the bloodstream and may take an hour to get to their destination.

The nervous system has the full attention of the brain and the brain responds. The responses can be the result of pain, enjoyment or other sensory data.

Electrically charged neurons make up the communications landscape of the nervous system. When the nervous system kicks in electrical charges and chemical reactions are generated as information is sent on a fast track to a brain that either calls for action or reaction to the supplied data stream.

The three primary elements of the nervous system are the brain, the spinal chord and a complex nerve network reaching all areas of your body.

There are at least 24 different nerve centers in the body and all five senses are reflected in the system controlled by neurons.

The function of the nervous system is to gear the body up for action or calm it to the point of relaxation. The problem comes when our actions and our thought patterns tell our body’s nervous system to react in a way counter to what the body actually needs. For instance we can insist on being worried and our body’s nervous system works overtime to help us keep tense and alert when the risk we imagine is not an identifiable threat. This is often counterproductive to the actual needs of the body.

The journey of the nerve impulses has been described as “An electrical charge that travels down the cell membrane of a neuron’s dendrite and/or axon through the action of the Na-K pump. Ordinarily, the inside of a neuron’s cell membrane is negatively-charged while the outside is positively-charged. When sodium and potassium ions change places, this reverses the inner and outer charges causing the nerve impulse to travel down the membrane. A nerve impulse is “all-or-none:” it either goes or not, and there’s no halfway. However, a neuron needs a threshold stimulus, the minimum level of stimulus needed, to trigger the Na-K pump to go and the impulse to travel. A neuron cannot immediately fire again; it needs time for the sodium and potassium to return to their places and everything to return to normal. This time is called the refractory period.

“A junction between two nerve cells or a nerve and a muscle cell is called a synapse. In a synapse, various chemicals are used to transfer the impulse across the gap to the next cell. These are collectively known as neurotransmitters, and include such chemicals as dopamine (brain levels of which are low in Parkinson’s disease), serotonin, and acetylcholine (levels of which are low in myasthenia gravis).” [1]

The body’s nervous system is an intricate method that relies on a logical series of events to trigger an appropriate body response. Without this system we could not exist.

Perhaps the nervous system looks designed because it is designed.

Easter Celebration – I Am Risen!

What are you celebrating this season? Is it salvation, victory and freedom or is it only salvation? Will Jesus Christ acknowledge your celebration as being complete? This article aims at encouraging you to utilize the entire package our Saviour Christ delivered to us the day He rose again.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay – Matthew 28:6 (NKJV)

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord – Luke 4:18-19 (NKJV).

Many people are still in their oppression because they have refused or don’t know how to take their mat and go home (Luke 5:24). They have accepted salvation from Christ but they are yet to take the goods Jesus paid for on the cross and delivered at His resurrection.

I imagine the Lord Jesus shouting, “I am risen! Why are you still there? The stone is rolled away (Mark 16:4), just follow Me and walk out of that grave! I am risen, don’t you understand what it means?” It means salvation, victory and freedom. Freedom from shame, reproach, oppression, sickness and disease, fear, downtrodden state, helplessness, etc.

What are you doing with Christ’s victory on the cross and resurrection? Jesus truly has the keys of hell and of death (Revelations 1:18), by His stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24), God has translated you from the kingdom of darkness into His Son’s kingdom (Colossians 1:13). You are not bound anymore (Hebrews 2:14-15)! ONLY BELIEVE! (Mark 5:36)

Read and chew the scriptures, pray, decide to walk with God and you will understand and live the life of victory and freedom purchased for you by our Lord Jesus Christ with His blood. Follow Jesus and walk away from that challenge.

I imagine our Saviour Christ saying, “Why are you crying to me? You have compassed this mountain enough. I have finished the work, take it and use it!” You are not saved to remain in your state. Follow Jesus and walk away today. You are free, no more enslaved to sin, the shackles are broken, and the doors are open. Follow Jesus and walk away today.

My prayer as you celebrate Easter, is that by the blood of Jesus you will take up your mat and follow Jesus out of that challenge, in Jesus name. Salvation, victory and freedom is yours! Hallelujah!

HAPPY EASTER!

Symptoms Of Hemroids – Why You Must Not Ignore Them

Useful Statistics, Finally

13 million out of 298 million Americans in 2006 had hemroids, translating into a prevalence rate of 4.4%. Every year like clockwork, 1 million new cases crop up.

In spite of this, a great number of people overlook the symptoms of hemroids resulting in disproportionately few consulting a doctor for medical treatment, with guesstimates ranging from 500,000 to 3 million per year. Astonishingly, the symptoms are paid no attention to by 10 million people! Whilst it is true that the fatality incidence of hemroids is statistically small, at less than 20 per 100,000, but it is inconceivabe that anyone wants to be numbered in the ill-fated 20.

Firstly, the longer the procrastination in treatment, the more prolonged hemroids take to recover. Complete healing is another splendid reason for immediate action on hemroids. The most crucial reason for crossing out the entire category of more harmful illnesses is that some of them necessitate regular medical care whilst others may be life-threatening.

Life-endangering – True or False?

Symptoms of hemroids, particularly blood in stool or bowel movement bleeding, can be difficult to differentiate from a whole multitude of other medical conditions. It is no falsehood. Ominous developments can arise from some of these disorders.

Depending on the aggravated organ, these other maladies can be classified into 2 broad sorts. There are 7 other prevalent diseases in the colon, namely Crohn’s disease, colorectal cancer, colon polyp, diverticulosis, intestinal ischemia, peptic ulcer and ulcerative colitis. In the rectum, the other 4 main afflictions are proctitis, anorectal fistulae, anal fissures and rectal prolapse.

Complications from SOME of these other afflictions can threaten life. In this case, tagging along with the majority of 10 million people in taking no heed of the symptoms of hemroids can have grave consequences.

A very prudent rule is appropriate; see a medical specialist if bleeding drags on over a week. The symptoms described hereunder will appear if hemroids are confirmed.

Hemroids, Hemorrhoids, Haemorrhoids or Piles – One And The Same Symptoms

Hemroids (misspelling), hemorrhoids (US spelling) and haemorrhoids (UK spelling) are the same sickness, all being words derived from haimorrhoos which means flowing with blood in Greek. Piles (probably derived from pila or ball in Latin) is the common name for hemroids. “The common people call them piles, the aristocracy call them haemorrhoids, the French call them figs – what does it matter so long as you can cure them?” said Ardene, a 14th century English surgeon.

Before moving on to other symptoms of hemroids, we need to know the differing medical words that define a line demarcating the boundary of the rectum and the start of the anal canal. Known variously as the pectinate line or dentate line or anal verge or anorectal junction, this line separates internal (in the rectum) and external (on the anus) hemroids. The differentiation that is more important to the hemroid sufferer is that there are somewhat fewer pain nerve endings above the line, verge or junction and a great number outside the boundary. In comparison, therefore, external hemroids may result in excruciating pain whilst internal hemroids may be painless. This pain element affects the decision-making when selecting between mainstream or alternative treatment methods.

Symptoms Of Internal Hemroids

The most typical symptom of internal hemroids is rectal bleeding, also known as bowel movement bleeding or blood in stool. Toilet tissue may be stained red, stools be interspersed with blood droplets and the toilet bowl be coloured red.

Another distinct symptom is the bulging movement of the internal hemroid during bowel motion. Medical researchers classify bulging internal hemroids according to 4 stages of prolapse or protrusion:

– a first-degree hemroid bulges into the anal canal;
– a 2nd degree hemroid bulges from the anus, then retracts itself;
– a 3rd degree hemroid bulges from the anus and must be physically tucked back in;
– a fourth-degree internal hemroid bulges out from the anus permanently.

Internal hemroids are normally not painful as they occur above the pectinate line but large ones that prolapse into the anus may be squeezed by the anal sphincter muscles. In the extreme, they become strangulated hemroids (deprived of blood supply) that require urgent medical treatment as the adjoining tissues may be imperilled.

The agonizing urge to return to the toilet bowl right after stools have just been purged, anal lumps, rectal lumps and skin itches are other common symptoms of internal hemroids. The feeling of unfinished defecation is enhanced in cases where the hemroid is extremely large and in the proximity of the anal opening.

Symptoms Of Hemroids – External

One clear differentiation between external and internal hemroids is that anal pain is more acute in the former as they arise outside the dentate line on the anal region where pain nerve ends abound.

Blood clots or thrombuses tends to occur with external hemroids resulting in the body’s blood circulatory system being retarded. This thrombosed hemroid can cause detrimental inflammation in the whole anal and rectal regions.

Unlike internal hemroids which can often go undetected due to the lack of overt symptoms, external hemroids can create persistent irritation. Cleaning the anal region is understandable but doing this excessively only inflames the hemroid and sets up a vicious continual cycle.

A Member Of The 10 Million Ignoring The Symptoms Of Hemroids?

Are you in the 10 million majority?

Recognition of a problem is the first step to its solution. That is the case with hemroids too.

On occasion, it can be serious and requires medical attention. But frequently, the treatment is fairly straightforward. Mainstream treatment methods may be very painful depending on the nature of hemroids being treated but many testify to the effectiveness of alternative methods like H Miracle.

Zithromax – How Antibiotics Help In Cancer Treatment?

The first stage cancer is often treated with antibiotics like Amikacin, Gentamicin, Kanamycin, Neomycin, and Netilmicin. These can help in precenting the condtions like weight loss, hearing issues, vertigo and even common kidney damages.

The use of Prescription antibiotics is quite common in the routine treatment of Cancer especially for the prevention of infections. The recent study showed that most forms of Cancer start with abnormal cells growth in unusual rate. This can happen in any part of the body including skin, brain, bones or even blood.

In recent years the antibiotics known as the Ansamycins are discovered to be effective in the treatment of the skin cancer too. These were first started as the experimental treatment in Europe in 2005. Their common usage has been in shape of the anti-tumor drugs as well. There are however some antibiotics that are now removed from the list of treatment for cancer including the widely used carbacephems as well.

The traditional process cancer control start with the tests to assess the extent and speed of damage that cancer is doing. In early stages the cancer can often be misdiagnosed unless the patient is aware of the various symptoms that can be quite similar to many common diseases.

The antibiotics can assist in the recovery process to speed up the healing process. This can assist the complicated surgical operations that often involve radiation and or some form of lazar rays. Similarly the chemotherapy and medications involved in this Antibiotic treatment can reduce the chances of infections. With more then hundred active antibiotic remedies to select from, the choice of the right one can be often based upon the individual case.

Similarly the antibiotics like Ertapenem, Doripenem are important for the common gastrointestinal upset, diarrhea, Nausea and the Seizures that might happen in the later stages of this disease. The other common problems associated with the cancer including the headaches, rashes and the allergic reactions can also be prevented with them successfully as well.

The factors like age, gender, family history and even the stage of the cancer can influence in the decision and choice of antibiotics easily too. Similarly the close administration of the antibiotics however is Zithromax often recommended as if misused these can easily backfire and have severe allergic reactions or even toxicity as well. The frequent use of the antibiotics is however done before the surgery too. The bacterial growth can be stopped with this also.

Retinoblastoma – Ayurvedic Herbal Treatment

Retinoblastoma is a rare form of cancer which affects the eye and especially the retina. This cancer is usually present in children below the age of six years and is usually diagnosed in children aged 1 to 2 years. Symptoms include pain in the eyes, diminished or disturbed vision, an opaque and white appearance of the eyes, and a bulge in the eyes. The tumour can spread through the optic nerve to the brain and other parts of the body, especially the bones. Examination for this condition includes an ophthalmic examination, ultrasound of the eyes, CT or MRI of the orbits, and examination of the cerebro- spinal fluid, and possibly bone marrow examination. Treatment of retinoblastoma includes laser surgery, cryotherapy, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Removal of the eye is believed to prevent a spread of the tumour from the eyes to the brain and other parts of the body such as lungs and bones. The tumour is generally believed to be incurable if it has spread outside the eye, while it is known to cause blindness in the eye itself.

Ayurvedic herbal treatment for retinoblastoma should be instituted at the earliest in order to bring about the maximum possible improvement, prevent the spread of the tumour outside the eye, and maximise chances for survival. Aggressive treatment can also prevent the tumour spreading from the affected eye to the other eye. Ayurvedic herbal medicines which are useful in the management of retinoblastoma are those medicines which have a strong anti- tumour effect as well as have a specific affinity for the eyes. While these medicines form the mainstay of treatment, other medicines which strengthen the nervous system and have a specific action on the nerve cells are also used in the treatment of this condition. Still other medicines are required to prevent the spread of the tumour through the blood and lymphatic circulation.

As with all cancer and tumour treatments, the addition of immunomodulatory herbal agents is a must in the management of retinoblastoma, since a strong immune system helps in the fight against the tumour, reduces treatment time, improves the overall response and maintains the strength of the affected individual. A combination of all the above-mentioned medicines helps to bring about an early remission, significantly improve the chances for survival, and also prevents a recurrence of the condition. Medicines useful in the treatment of retinoblastoma include Triphala (Three Fruits), Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), Haridra (Curcuma longa), Yashtimadhu (Glycerrhiza glabra), Saptamrut Loh and Panch-Tikta-Ghrut-Guggulu.

In addition to treating the retinoblastoma tumour, efforts also need to be made to preserve vision in the affected individual to the maximum extent possible. Depending upon the presentation of the tumour and the time of commencement of treatment, herbal medicines are added to the treatment so as minimize damage to the retina as well as other inner structures of the eyes. Damage to vision is due to a direct pressure or displacement of the retina and a spread of the tumour through the optic nerve. Hence, it is logical to start aggressive treatment at the earliest in order to contain the tumour and prevent damage to the eye, which can result in disturbed vision or complete blindness.

Most children affected with retinoblastoma require Ayurvedic herbal treatment for about 15 to 18 months in order to get significant remission from this condition. Prompt treatment obviates the necessity of removing the affected eye, helps bring about an early cure, and improves long-term survival. Ayurvedic herbal treatment thus has a significant role to play in the management and treatment of retinoblastoma.

Can a Lack of Water Cause Hair Thinning Or Shedding? My Opinion Based on Research and Experience

I recently received correspondence from someone who asked this particular question. I had to write back and ask if the person was talking about being dehydrated or using water with excess chemicals when washing or caring for one’s hair. The person clarified that they were asking about being dehydrated because they’d been shedding and losing more hair than normal over the last few months and had recently read that you need to drink eight glasses of water per day. Since they didn’t even begin to meet that requirement and could think of no other reason for their hair loss, they wondered if dehydration might be the cause. But, they were also interested in hearing more about the water quality issue, so I will discuss both concerns in the following article.

Dehydration And Hair Loss: First, I have to admit that there is a lot of differing opinions when it comes to determining how much water a person really needs in order to stay well hydrated. Medical advice differs on this. It used to be that it was thought that the minimum requirement for optimal health was 8 – 10 glasses of eight ounce cups of water per day. Lately, the medical community (or at least some members in it) seem to be backing off of these numbers by a little bit.

Regardless of the actual number of glasses that you consume, a good way to tell if you are getting enough water is to make sure that your urine is pale and / or clear and also to make sure that you are regularly going to the bathroom. If this is happening, then it’s a pretty good bet that you’re well hydrated no matter what the actual amount of water that you’ve consumed might be. (Also, you get water in other ways besides drinking it. Many foods (in particular fruits) contain a decent amount of water.) And what you’re drinking doesn’t have to be water. Juice and other drinks count too.

In terms of hair, like all of the systems that the body has to support (organs, skin, etc.) water is going to be an important component of this. Think about this. Hair strands themselves are 1/4th water. Generally speaking though, it’s more likely to see hair that is brittle, dry, and breaking off, or not growing properly as the result of not enough water consumption rather than hair that is falling out. Normally, with mild dehydration, your hair, skin, and nails just won’t look as shiny or as healthy as they should. They might also grow slowly or not at all.

However, with severe dehydration, you can see circulation to the skin, scalp, and hair roots shut down as a measure of preserving the body’s reserves. This severe state can cause some hair loss and shedding. It can also make other problems that can contribute to hair loss (like dandruff, psoriasis and androgens) worse. But, with a relatively normal diet that includes beverages, it’s relatively rare to see this level of a problem. That’s not to say that it can’t happen. But, it is somewhat rare from my own experience and research.

As far as poor quality water or a high amount chemicals when washing your hair (like chlorine,) you will generally see the same types of aesthetic problems – dry hair that easily breaks or is not manageable. You’ll typically see it breaking off rather than falling out.

If you suspect that this may be a problem for you, it’s very easy to fix this issue. Drinking more water is easy, free, and worth a try to see if you obtain any relief. If this doesn’t work, you may want to look at other causes for your hair loss like telogen effluvium (TE,) other medical issues, or other common hair and scalp concerns like AGA (androgenic alopecia) which is by far the most common cause of hair loss.

Dental Implants – Procedure and Benefits

Dental care treatment has become an absolute necessity for millions of people worldwide; in spite of improvements and advances in dental care and health, people are afflicted by gum disease and tooth decay. Till a few decades ago, bridges and fixing dentures were two main options for treating people with missing, broken or in situations where teeth have to be surgically removed.

Modern day dental care includes dental implants that are replacement teeth roots. An implant can support one or more artificial teeth; the implant is a screw made of titanium that is fixed into the jawbone in place of a tooth root when it fails. They provide a strong foundation or base on which removable or permanent teeth can be fixed to match existing natural teeth.

There are many advantages to dental implants, some of which are:

• Greater comfort – dental implants can help avoid discomfort of fixing and removing dentures.

• Ease of chewing and eating food – dentures do not always fit 100%; with use they become less fitting and chances of slipping out while chewing food are high. With dental implants, this problem is eliminated.

• Better oral health – dental implants do not require other teeth to be modified or adjusted so ensuring that more natural teeth are left unharmed thereby improving dental health and hygiene in the long-term.

• Improvement in appearance – since dental implants are so designed that they fuse with the jawbone; they become permanent and feel like natural teeth.

• Speech improvement – unlike slurring or mumbling sometimes caused by dentures, implants do not slip ensuring better speech and communication.

• More confidence and self esteem – a good smile brings back confidence and a spring in the step.

• Convenience – dentures have to be removed and cleaned everyday; with dental implants this is not necessary at all.

• Durability – dental plates can last a lifetime with proper care and regular dental check-up.

Implant Procedure

Most dental implants can be safely done in the dentist's office under local anesthesia. A slightly more complicated procedure may require hospitalization and intravenous sedation. Every dental implant procedure is different because it involves the patient's preference, the experience of the dental surgeon and the overall need of the situation.

The procedure usually necessitates a three-step process because each stage requires time to heal.

Step 1

This involves placing the dental plate flush into the gum, burying it like the root of a tooth would be. This is to give time for healing and to protect the implant from force. Once the healing period is over, the dental implant is exposed by surgically removing some of the gum covering it. This integration process is known as 'osseointegrate'.

Step 2

In this step, the dental surgeon examines the implant to see if it has integrated successfully into the gum and places a post or 'abutment' which is drilled through the gum. As the area around the gum heals it forms a collar which gives the dentist access to the implant while placing the artificial or prosthetic tooth.

In some cases, steps 1 and 2 are done together within small intervals. The advantage is that it eliminates extra surgical procedure; however this is a decision to be made by the dental surgeon taking into account the time needed for the implant to heal and integrate.

The time gap between steps 1 and 2 if done at different times can be from a few days up to a couple of weeks.

Step 3

The final step is the fabrication and fixing of the prosthetic tooth or teeth to the integrated dental implants.

Medical or Dental Insurance

Dental plates by and large are not included in dental insurance. Here again, the factors leading to the implant are considered and in some cases, insurance coverage under existing medical plan may be considered by the insurance company. As dental implants are an expensive treatment, it is advisable to consult a good dental surgeon and finds the pros and cons before opting for it.

Creating Excel Spreadsheet Formula Tutorial

Formula Basics

Formulas in Microsoft Excel begin with an equal sign. The equal sign tells Excel that the succeeding characters sentence a formula. If you do not enter the equal sign, Excel will treat your entry as text and the calculation will fail.

To show how formulas work, we'll begin with a simple exercise by selecting blank cell A1. Then type = 5 + 5, and press Enter. Excel fulfills the calculation and produces a result of 10 in cell A1.

Notice the formula bar shows the formula you just typed. What appears in the cell is the result; what appears in the formula bar is the underlying value, which is a formula in this case.

Excel Order of Calculations

When performing calculations in a formula, Excel follows certain rules of precedence:

Excel calculates expressions within parentheses first.

Excel calculates multiplication and division before addition and subtraction.

Excel calculates consecutive operators with the same level of precedent from left to right.

For example, the formula = 10 + 10 * 2 gives a result of 30 as Excel multiplies 10 by 2 and then adds 10. However, the formula = (10 + 10) * 2 results a result of 40. This is because Excel calculates the expression (10 + 10) within the parentheses first. It then multiplies by 2.

If you are unsure of the order in which Excel calculates, use parentheses – even if the parentheses are not necessary. Parentheses also make your formulas easier to read.

Referencing Cells in Formulas

You can include or reference other cells in a formula. When you do so, the result of the formula depends on the values in the referred cells and changes automatically when the values in the refereed cells change. This is extremely powerful in what-if scenarios.

To see how this works, enter 10 in cell A1. Now select cell A2 and type = A1 * 2. The value in cell A2 is 20. If you change the value in cell A1 from 10 to any value, the value in cell A2 will also change. Cell references are especially helpful when you create complex formulas, or conduct what-if analysis.

To reference cells in your formula you can select them with your pointer rather than having to type. For example, to enter a formula in cell A1 that references cells A2 and A3, do the following:

  • Select cell A1, and type an equal sign.
  • Click cell A2, and type a plus sign.
  • Click cell A3, and press Enter.

The active cell does not have to be visible in the current window for you to enter a value in that cell. You can reference cells any where; in existing worksheet, another worksheet or even cells in other workbooks. You simply scroll through the worksheet without changing the active cell and click cells in remote areas of your worksheet, in other worksheets, or in other workbooks, as you build a formula. The formula bar displays the contents of the active cell, no matter which area of the worksheet is currently visible.

Relative, Absolute, and Mixed References

Relative references refer to cells by their position in relation to the cell that contains the formula. A relative reference to cell A1, for example, looks like this: = A1.

Absolute references refer to cells by their fixed position in the worksheet. An absolute reference to cell A1 looks like this: = $ A $ 1.

A mixed reference contains a relative reference and an absolute reference. A mixed reference to cell A1, for example, looks like this: = $ A1 or = A $ 1.

If the dollar sign precedes only the letter such as $ A1, the column A is absolute, and the row 1 is relative. If the dollar sign precedes only the number such as A $ 1, the column A is relative, and the row 1 is absolute.

Absolute and mixed references are important when you begin copying formulas from one location to another. When you copy and paste, relative references adjust automatically, while absolute references do not. This means if you copy this formula = B $ 1 + $ B2 from cell A1 to B2. In cell B2, the formula would adjust to = B $ 1 + $ B3.

You can change reference types by pressing F4. The following steps show how:

1. Select cell A1, and type = B1 + B2 (but do not press Enter).

2. Move the cursor near B1 and press F4 once. The formula becomes = $ B $ 1 + B2. Move the cursor near B2 and press F4 once. The formula becomes = B1 + $ B $ 2.

3. Press F4 again on either B1 or B2 to change the reference to mixed; relative column and absolute row.

4. Press F4 again to reverse the mixed reference; absolute column and relative row.

5. Press F4 again to return to the original relative reference.

Relative reference is the default. If you want to make a reference mixed or absolute, use F4 to do so.

References to Other Worksheets

You can refer to cells in other worksheets within the same workbook just as easily as you refer to cells in the same worksheet. For example, to enter a reference to cell A2 in Sheet2 into cell A1 in Sheet1, do this:

1. Select cell A1 in Sheet1, and type an equal sign.

2. Click the Sheet2 tab.

3. Click cell A2, and then press Enter.

After you press Enter, Sheet1 is now active. Select cell A2, and you will see that it contains the formula = Sheet2! A2.

The exclusion point separates the worksheet portion of the reference from the cell portion.

References to Worksheets in Other Workbooks

You can refer to cells in worksheets in other workbooks in the same way you refer to cells in other worksheets within the same workbook. These references are called external references. For example, to enter a reference to Book2 in Book1, follow these steps:

1. Create 2 books; Book1 and Book2

2. Select cell A1 in Sheet1 of Book1, and type an equal sign.

3. Switch to Book2. Click to select A2.

4. Press Enter

After you press enter, your formula should be = [Book2] Sheet1! $ A $ 2. This reference has 3 parts: The Workbook Book2 in square brackets, the worksheet and the cell. So referencing cells in external books by selecting the workbook, then worksheet, and then the cell you want to reference.

Your Dog Doesn't Like Bathing/Grooming?

Some dogs do not like to be bathed, brushed, combed, have their nails trimmed or grooming. This almost always has to do with the way they were raised and how they were introduced to a bath, brush, comb, nail trimming or grooming. An exception to this might be a dog with physical problems, where grooming causes some kind of physical discomfort.

The bad news is this can be a big problem.
A dog that can’t be brushed or groomed because they are so unruly, with barking, biting and overall struggling, is going to develop problems. You won’t be able to trim their nails easily so you will more often than not let it go. The nails will get too long and can even curl around and start growing back into the leg. They can cause the toes to splay, resulting in flat feet and back problems. Walking can become painful because the nails are so long and of course they will easily scratch you. This also increases the risk of a nail getting caught on something and ripping off which may need vet care.

If you can’t comb or brush your dog they will get mats in their hair. These mats also become irritating to the dog which would feel like continuously having your hair pulled. You also cannot bathe the dog because when they get wet it will tighten the mats and become painful for the dog which also makes it much more difficult for the mats to be removed. When this happens you will need to go to a groomer and get the dog de-matted and this can be time-consuming for a groomer and costly for the customer. In many cases the only thing a groomer can do is shave the dog entirely.

The good news is, you can train your dog to accept being groomed, combed or brushed and have its nails trimmed without struggling.
At the earliest age possible introduce your little friend to these items:
– Comb and brush
– Nail clippers or a dremmel
– Electric clippers. If you don’t have professional clippers and don’t plan to use them to groom, you can use an electric shaver.
– A bottle of shampoo

The purpose at this stage is to just get your dog used to them, not actually groom them.
Again, at the earliest age possible, take each foot and gently massage it. You want your dog to allow you to touch and hold his feet without a reaction.
Look in his ears and mouth also so he can get used to someone doing that.
If you have an older dog who is difficult follow the same procedures as if it were a puppy.

At first, just let them smell and get used to what these tools are, but do not ever let them bite these tools.
A dog’s strongest sense is smell. Hold the tools out for your dog to sniff them then place them against the dog so he can feel them.
Turn on the clippers or razor and just let them feel the vibration of it and get used to the sound.
Continue doing this exercise until your dog accepts the tools and products as nothing special and is not bothered by the sound of the clippers or the feel of the vibration.
Also continue touching/holding each foot to keep him used to having them touched and held.

Next, you will start to use the tools on your puppy but before you do take him for a nice long walk. A tired dog will be more relaxed and easier to work on.

Now, just start with the basics. Get a brush or comb while he is sitting or lying down and just sit with him, gently pet him. This isn’t playtime, its time to be relaxed, so do not show any excitement. When he is calm, slowly brush or comb him. If he starts to bite at the brush or struggle, stop, wait a few moments and try again. If it is a difficult dog don’t try to comb him from head to tail. Instead just pick a smooth part of the body and brush there. As long as your dog is ok with what you are doing keep going. You should try to do it everyday in the beginning and you may need to do this for a few days or a week depending on how often you do it. Reward him when he is good.

You can also just let your grooming tools/products stay near him if he is just laying quietly somewhere so he learns that seeing them doesn’t mean anything is going to happen but never allow him to play with or chew on them.

Gradually increase the amount of time you spend combing him but always do it gently and slowly. Try trimming a toenail and if that goes well do another.
A note about nail trimming. We prefer to use a dremmel, the kind you can get at Home Depot. This allows you to get the nails shorter and you can round them off so they are nice and smooth.

Do not yell at him if he doesn’t get it right away. You need to be calm. When you do an exercise always end on a positive note and be sure you don’t stop this exercise when he is acting up or struggling or you will reinforce in him that acting up gets you to stop.

If you do these things often and calmly you CAN get him to enjoy being groomed and the professional groomers will really appreciate this and have a much easier time. If he is running away put a leash on him before you get any grooming tools to practice these exercises.

How is he when you bathe him?
If that’s a problem follow the same kind of steps and remember don’t yell at him.
Some dogs like to bite at water from a hose which makes it very difficult to give them a bath.
To stop this behavior first introduce your dog to a hose with the water off.
Note: it will probably be mush easier to do this training with your dog on a leash.
Move the hose around, hold it against him and just let him get used to it. Don’t let him get excited or bite at it.
Next, turn the water on and let it run out of the hose with the hose on the ground. Don’t let him play with it or go after the water. When he is to a point where he ignores this, pick up the hose and spray water. If he shows excitement and bites at it stop and correct him. You don’t need to strike or hit your dog, just a firm “no” (that means firm, not loud).
Continue this exercise until your dog is no longer interested in biting the water or water coming out of the hose.
When you get to the point where your dog will ignore water from a hose, while he is on a leash go (for better control) go ahead and spray him with it. He should stand calmly while you do this. Correct him if he bites at the water. If he doesn’t you are moving too fast so go back to the previous exercises until he is more relaxed with water coming out of the hose.

If your dog is afraid of the water from a hose or Fawcett, introduce it to him slowly and gently for short periods of time. Gradually increase the time as he gets used to it and remains calm.

When your dog is good or when you finish an exercise, reward him with a treat.

Don’t forget to exercise him before you start, he will be more relaxed. A walk is better than running around as a high energy session will get his adrenaline going.

This will work but you need to do it often and be calm and consistent.

A long-haired dog will likely need combing once a day. Mats and tangled hair can form very quickly on long-haired breeds so be thorough and comb everywhere including the chest and underarms, the tail and around the butt.

With a long-haired breed you should use a comb, not a brush. The soft bristles of a brush won’t get down to the skin to separate the hair and will just smooth the top. The teeth of a comb will reach down to the skin and when you comb it will pull out the loose hair in the undercoat as well as separate the hair to prevent tangles and mats. Combing often will also alert you to any bugs like fleas or ticks, will help you to quickly identify any skin conditions before they get bad, and keep your dog cleaner.

A well-groomed dog will feel better, look better and keep your house cleaner.
Most all dogs will come to enjoy this time you spend together and it can be a relaxing experience that your dog will enjoy and further strengthen the bond between you. It will also be one more thing that will help to reinforce that you are the leader.

How To Get A Bubble Butt – A Few Tips That Will Make Your Booty Rounder and Bigger

There are often things we would like to change on our bodies. We would like to be taller, stronger, have a flatter tummy, smaller nose, bigger breasts etcetera.

This article is about how to get a bubble butt. Fortunately this is something you can get without too much trouble and effort. It will require some effort and dedication but practically anyone can do it.

So where do you start, what do you have to do to get a bubble butt? There are few different things you can do to get a really round and perky butt.

The buttocks are primarily made up of muscle but also fat. Strengthening the muscles will make your booty firmer, rounder and bigger. So if small changes are what you are after, exercise (together with a good diet) is all you need.

However when we are talking about bubble butts we tend to think of really big and well rounded booties. In order to get that muscle alone is not enough, you also need to add fat to it. The fat will add a fair bit of volume to your booty and strong muscles will keep it round and firm. So we need to get muscle and fat on our booties. Now to the methods that will get you there.

Exercise: Though many activities are good for training the buttocks (running, walking, cycling) I will only go over the most effective butt building exercises, the ones that will give you results, fast.

• Frog squats: these differs to ordinary squats as you keep your feet apart (sort of like a V) Do them slowly to maximize resistance and to avoid putting strain on your knees

• Kneeling Sidekicks: You get down on all fours, lift your leg as high as you can and kick sideways. Change your legs and repeat

• Lunges: Stand upright, feet together and take one long deep step forward until your thigh is parallel to the floor (don’t go further as this can damage your knee) get back up and repeat, change legs and start over again

• Bridges: You lay flat on the floor, pull your legs up until they have an angle of 45 degrees. Keep your feet flat on the floor and lift your butt as high as you can while squeezing your buttocks. Repeat until it gets difficult.

• Standing leg raises: Stand up with you feet together holding on to a doorpost or pole. Then raise your leg sideways as high as you can, lower it slowly and repeat. Change legs. If you think this is too easy, put a small weight around your ankle.

Do these exercises at least three times week. Make sure to eat well after work outs as the muscles need to recover in order to grow. Eat healthy natural foods, make sure you eat little more protein. A good diet could consist of fish, meat, vegetables, fruit, cereals, milk and eggs.

There are also some foods that are particularly good for butt building. This is because they will help you to put some fat on your booty. Putting fat on the booty is necessary in order to get a bubble butt as muscle alone cannot give it the volume you wish.

Eating nuts is good for this. Nuts contain fatty acids and Omega 3 and this will be stored in your butt thus “fattening it up”. Eating fatty fish like salmon or taking fish oil will have the same effect. Drinking milk is also excellent for building a bubble butt so drink plenty of milk.

There is one more method that is very useful in order to make your butt bigger. There is a way of moving body fat from you’re other parts of your body to your butt. This method involves a simple skin brush and will take only a few minutes a day. It is very efficient.

This is how to get a bubble butt. Now you only have to get started and in a couple of months you can have a much bigger, rounder and sexier butt.
