As the sun rises just to the right of my office window, I hear the song of birds in the distance. They sing a song of perfection; free of worry or sorrow. Their song reminds me of a forest glad where life is free of worry and concern.

Where are you with your inner paradigm this Spring? Many people feel stuck in the winter and sad because of the constant darkness. Their "Paradigm" or thought process may be ignore and dark, leading them on though journeys that feel bad, make them sad or cover them with physical illness.

Spring is always a good time to explore the depths of your mind, down into the subconscious, to pull out weeds from your garden of hope and serenity. When our garden is filled with weeds and icky creatures it is hard to see light or anything positive. We are going to take a journey now into your subconscious mind and awaken the sleeping strengths, beliefs and resources that are buried in the catacombs.

It is early on Spring morning and you take a walk down the road. You notice to your left an opening to what appears to be a cave. You have just come out of the worse winter your town has ever seen and felt depressed because your job is getting slower and money is getting invisible. Depression has consumed you all winter and there have been times when you did not think you could go on.

Let's stop now and take a look at how this story will or may unfold. Winter is dark and cold causing people to stay indoors more. The lack of sunshine and air causes all sorts of bad feelings and emotions. Spring is such a divine contrast that it can make the depression and anxiety worse or it can make it better.

Every emotional association you have in your lifetime is connected to a thought process that is buried in the catacombs of your subconscious. Slower work means less money and this invokes the great fear of lack, loss and scarcity. When these fears are present they multiply. Let's explore further.

Curious as to what is inside of the cave, you take a step inside and immediately notice the darkness and wet chill are similar to the winter you just came out of. What you just experienced in the catacombs of your subconscious mind was a scene from your past that created your current paradigm or thought process. Without even knowing it, you picked up on the same fears as your parents. The good news is that you can change that by become aware and awake to this reality.

So why bother going with LED lights instead of those nice cheap incandescent bulbs you've been using all these years?
If this is your way of thinking when it comes to the lighting onboard your boat, the chances are very good you are wasting a lot of money and dealing with a lot more hassle than you probably realize.

Most boats are well familiar with the need to manage onboard electrical power. Since all power for electrical devices must be produced, stored and supplied independently of onshore sources, boats must rely on generators, solar panels, wind turbines and battery banks to produce and store electrical energy. The most important benefit boats can realize from switching to LED lighting onboard their boat is greatly reduced energy consumption. Whereas a typical 25 watt halogen bulb may draw over 2 amps and produce only 425 lumens, an LED fixture producing 500 lumens can use only 10 watts and pull less than 1 amp. That is more light output using less than half as much power. This kind of efficiency is impossible with normal incandescent lamps and allows you to produce more light, using fewer fixtures. For a boater who is loathe to leave cabin lights on for any length of time, this means you can install half as many lamps and produce the same lighting, while cutting the power draw by up to three quarters. This means no more reading by the weak yellowish light of a battery lamp, or making so with dim cabins and hard to work in galleys or cockpits.

While LEDs do cost more initially than traditional lamps, they provide other cost saving benefits along efficiency, which further help to offset their higher price and provide net savings over the long term. Lamp life is one of these peripheral benefits, and it can be extended over ten times as long using LEDs. A typical incandescent bulb will last approximately 500 to 1500 hours, causing frequent outages and the need for equally frequent replacements. Each time you replace that lamp, you incur additional costs. An LED boat light on the other hand will last in excess of 50,000 hours on average. That means that you would have to replace an incandescent lasting an average of 1,000 hours 50 times to equal the longevity of your LED lamp. If we say your incandescent bulb costs $ 1.00, that's $ 50.00 over the course of 50,000 hours. With LED bulbs now available for as low as $ 24.00 for quality units, it is easy to see a net savings in maintenance and replacement costs alone. Add in the power and fuel saved as well, and it is clear that LEDs are actually more cost effective over the long term.

Two other very notable improvements LEDs offer over incandescent lamps are cooler operation and much greater durability. Most boats are well aware of how warm it can get below decks in the summer. Now imagine placing several small heaters in that small cabin as well. Things can get rather warm fairly quickly, obviously. This in turn causes air conditioning to run harder and more often, using more fuel and draining more power. LEDs on the other hand run cool enough to touch with your bare hand, even after hours of operation, reducing the heat added to the cabin, often the AC needs to run, and improving your overall comfort.

LEDs can also survive rough handling that would destroy a normal glass incandescent bulb. LEDs have no wire filament, no glass, no gases or mercury, and can withstanding jarring, vibrations, and even impacts from dropping or incidental hits without any change in performance.

Overall, the reasons for switching your boats lighting system over to LEDs are numerous. You can run more of them, and for longer periods. They need less maintenance and cost less to operate over their lifetime. Housebreaking Yorkies: Train Yorkies To Poop At The Right Time

The Yorkshire Terrier is like a potato chip, you can’t have just one. Yorkies are great as pairs and you can even have two males or two females without having any disagreements. They are suited to living in close quarters and need close companionship to thrive. Once you’ve decided to get your Yorkies and take them home, you’ll need to housebreak them. Housebreaking your Yorkies may be easier than you think. Not only can you train them to have a bowel movement on command, but you can control where they go too.

When it comes to housebreaking a puppy, one of the first things that you have to contend with is feeding. What goes in must come out. Generally speaking, a dog will have to poop 15 to 20 minutes after a meal. The easiest way to housebreak Yorkies is to feed them regular meals and take them out in an acceptable timeframe. After a little while, you will know when your puppy will need to go and thus increase your chances of successfully training your Yorkies to poop at the right time.

As an example, if you give your Yorkies three meals per day, expect them to have three bowel movements per day. As puppies, they should be fed at least three times per day, but when adults, that can be decreased to two times per day, maybe even once per day depending on the situation. Housebreaking a puppy and getting them to poop and pee where you want them to is the same when you transition them to a different feeding schedule.

Puppies will need to pee more often than an adult and should therefore be allowed to urinate several times per day. They will often pee on the same outing as pooping, but they also will need to go out more times throughout the day to go pee. When you begin housebreaking a puppy, taking them out often is the key. You will need to come up with a consistent command; “Poop” and “Pee” are good because they’re one word and can be preceded by “Go” and/or your Yorkies name.

As you begin your training to housebreak any puppy, you should have your puppy on a leash even if you are in a fenced in yard. This gives you control over where your puppy can go. It’s best to start out with a loose grip on the leash. Let your Yorkies take you where they want to and when they stray away from a certain area, correct them with the leash and take them back to the appropriate area and be sure to give the proper command as you do so.

Once the deed is done, give lots of praise. Have a conversation with your Yorkies. “Good girl go poop.” Along with physical contact and petting, this is a good way to housebreak a puppy. Lather, rinse and repeat often until they get it and you will have mastered the art of housebreaking puppy.

The Pros and Cons of Three Sex Positions

Well, today, I’d like to focus your attention on three popular sex positions and, in particular, the advantages and disadvantages of each one. We will be considering the missionary position, the “man-standing-up-woman-lying-down” position and the cowgirl (“woman on top”) position.

1/ MISSIONARY POSITION

This is the traditional position for sex where, as I’m sure you know, the man lies down on top of a prone woman for intercourse.

Pros –

This is the easiest sex position to get into, requires little energy to get started and is great for sudden, spontaneous, unplanned sex. It is generally easy for the man to just roll over on top of the woman and their genitals are right opposite each other. This position lends itself to great intimacy because the two lovers can hug each other and look into each others’ eyes (if they are roughly the same height). Intercourse feels very exciting for the man, and the woman gets to receive some significant thrusting and a “whole body” experience. It is usually fairly quiet and can be done secretly if there is a danger of being discovered by other people in the house.

Cons –

This position has a reputation for being the “boring, married-people type of sex”, since it tends to lend itself to passionless “quickies” and can be repeated every time a couple have sex. It is often resorted to in order to avoid being discovered by curious kids and other people who might interrupt the session. The high levels of stimulation often cause the man to ejaculate quickly in less than 2-3 minutes, creating a bad habit for his body and a boring experience for the woman, whose body has hardly begun to respond to the sex before it’s all over. It is challenging for the man to create an orgasm for his woman unless he spends a LOT of time in foreplay beforehand and even then, lengthening the time having intercourse is quite difficult.

2/ Man standing up, woman lying down

This is the position where the woman lies down with her hips aligned with the edge of the bed, while the man stands up at the edge of the bed for intercourse.

Pros –

The main advantage of this position from the man’s point of view is the fact that it dramatically lengthens the amount of time he can have intercourse with the woman – anything up to 10-20 minutes or more can be achieved. Having sex standing up makes it much harder for his body to be stimulated to orgasm, so he has to thrust for a longer time to achieve it. He can also see the woman’s body much better and can use his hands to touch her breasts and upper body, which allows the woman to receive stimulation in two different ways at the same time. Having sex comfortably while standing up requires that the bed be at the same height as the man’s hips. Usually it isn’t – it’s lower. This can be resolved by pulling the woman’s hips off the bed, so that the small of her back is on the edge of it, but this requires that the woman change the position of her legs by folding them up against her chest in order to counteract the centre of gravity, so her whole body doesn’t slide off the bed – in which case, she will end up sitting on the floor with her legs wide open. Folding her legs up against her chest means that the man is no longer able to access her breasts and upper body, so that avenue of stimulation is closed off. Inexperienced women may not realise that they need to hold their legs open with their hands behind their knees and so they will dangle their legs off the end of the bed past the man’s body, which can be uncomfortable. There is a greater risk of injury to the woman’s vaginal tissues from heavy thrusting, since the man can go deeper.

3/ Cowgirl Position

This is the position where the woman gets on top of a prone man and straddles his hips for intercourse.

Pros –

This position is a winner in many ways – it feels awesome to the woman and is extremely exciting for the man. The main benefit is for the woman – she can control everything that is going on and do exactly what she needs to do to achieve an orgasm without relying on the man’s expertise and experience. She can do exactly what feels good to HER, whether or not he knows how to do that or not. It is quite stimulating for the man and there is the risk of early ejaculation, ending it all rather quickly before he’s had a chance to learn anything or see things really heat up, although women naturally tend to grind more than slide up and down, which can delay his orgasm quite well. His penis needs to be HARD for this – he needs a strong erection and it needs to last a long time. There is also a risk of damage to the penis if the girl is really forceful in dropping her whole upper body weight on top of it and she misses her vagina (ouch!) There can be bending of the penis in this case, which is quite a serious injury (often requiring hospitalization!) Also, achieving entry of the penis into the vagina at the beginning can be a little difficult, since the man’s penis is pointing upwards and is flat against his body, so either he has to move his penis to a 90-degree position to his body (the usual way) or else she has to lean forward quite a bit for him to put it inside her. There is the also the risk of the noise being detected by other people around, so choose a quiet time for this, when there are not many people around!
