5 Main Inflammatory Substances the Body Produces – Learn How to Quell Them

There are five inflammatory substances the body produces in response to various factors – environmental pollution, metabolic by-products, nutritional deficiencies and poor food choices, structural stress, digestive problems, infections, and pharmaceutical drugs.

1) Histamine – the mast cells produce histamine, I am sure you have heard of anti-histamine medication. Histamine is involved in the immune process for example – asthma, eczema, and hay-fever suffers produce high levels of histamine.

To counteract histamine – fruits like black currents, kiwi, and cherries, vegetables like onions and garlic, supplements like vitamin C capsules (particularly, quercetin capsules, and L-methionine capsules that help the liver to detoxify more efficiently, binding to excess histamine rendering it inactive.

2) Kinins – are found circulating in the blood stream, they are produced in response to tissue damage. Tissue damage can be caused by – high acidity levels, stress, high protein diets, dehydration, certain foods and drinks

To counteract kinins -a diet high in fruit and vegetables (other foods in moderation) will bring down acidity and maintain a good balance between acid and alkaline.

3) Prostaglandins – are short lived hormone type substances. They affect the tissue in their immediate area. The type of prostaglandins produced 1, 2, or 3, are produced as a direct result of the foods we eat. Prostaglandins 1 and 3 are very important not only as anti-inflammatory substances but they also help reduce cholesterol, prevent blooding clots and maintain good blood pressure.

To maintain a good balance -don’t overdo the meat consumption as it can encourage the production of the pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. Bromelain capsules – blocks pro-inflammation and encourages anti-inflammation. Ginger capsules, vitamin C, B Complex and minerals like magnesium and zinc are needed by enzymes to quell pro-inflammation. Flax seed oil capsules or fish oil capsules, plus a diet that provides enough essential fatty acids – fish, raw nuts and seeds.

4) Leukotrienes – much less is known about these inflammatory substances. They are related to prostaglandins and are generated from arachidonic acid, which comes from a diet high in animal products.

To counteract leukotrienes – vegetables, spice turmeric, quercetin capsules, and L-Arginine capsules.

5) Complement – you may or may not have heard of this. It is a protein found in the blood stream. There are about a dozen different substances involved in the immune system, and in the release of histamine from the mast cells – encouraging inflammation.

To counteract complement – there are various nutrients and antioxidants – Vitamin A or beta-carotene, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Selenium, and Zinc. Fruits and vegetables colored red, yellow, and orange like pumpkin, beetroot, squash, carrots, all berries, nectarines are a rich source of beta-carotene.

Harmful Effects Of Junk Food

Listed below are some important health complications caused due to sumptuous consumption of junk food.

Lack of energy:

Junk foods do not contain any nutrients that are beneficial to the human body. In most cases, these foods are filled with harmful carbohydrates, fats and cholesterol that do not provide any useful energy. As a result, somebody consuming junk food has reduced level of essential nutrients thereby causing weakness in the body.

Poor Concentration:

One disadvantage of consuming junk food is that it contains high amount of oil and fat. As a result, human body finds this food difficult to digest and needs to spend high amount of blood and enzymes. When a person consumes junk food in excess, a major portion of blood in the body is diverted to the intestine. As a result, the person feels drowsy and suffers with reduced concentration.

Heart Diseases:

Junk foods have been identified as a major cause of heart diseases including myocardial infraction, cardiac arrest and atherosclerosis. This is due to the fact that junk food contains excessive amount of low-density lipoproteins and cholesterol that get deposited on the inner linings of blood vessels. This result in formation of plaques and the heart is required to put an extra effort for pumping blood through the arteries. Presence of fat in the blood also causes reduced oxygen levels. Another harmful factor present in junk foods is excess concentration of sugars and salt. Excessive concentration of sodium ions causes an increased heart blood pressure.

Liver Failure:

Even liver gets damaged due to presence of ingredients such as fat, cholesterol and salt inside the junk foods.

Junk foods also cause damage to the pancreas resulting in insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM).

How to Get a Big Penis – Secret to Get a Big Penis at Home Exposed!

“How to Get a Big Penis?” Most men find themselves asking this question and this is largely because they are not satisfied with the size of their penises. Not only this, most men seem to think that penis enlargement is a myth and there is no way you can add inches to your genitalia.

However, this is not true. Male enhancement has come a long way from the time when only products that you could use were the old fashioned pumps and weight. New and highly advanced techniques have been developed to make your penis bit and thick without even thinking of an extreme measure like surgery or using bizarre products.

How to Get a Big Penis at Home

What determines the size of your erect penis, is the capacity of the erectile tissue to hold blood. This erectile tissue is called Corpora Cavernosa and lies at the top of your penis. When you get sexually exited, blood fills in this Corpora Cavernosa making your penis swell and achieve an erection. Any attempt at increasing the penis size is therefore directed at expanding Corpora Cavernosa.

The easiest and the most effective method of doing so is with the help of some simple exercises that are more popularly called Jelqs. These exercises are not new but they have existed in obscurity for long. However, it is now that such exercises are backed with clinical findings to suggest their efficacy in real and permanent penile enlargement.

Dr. Brian Richard conducted a study in which he found that almost 90% of the men who jelqed in a prescribed manner experienced real and natural penis growth after a few months. Not only this, when these men quit performing these exercises, there was no change or shrinkage in the size of their penises.

These exercises include certain stretching movements and your erectile tissue reacts to this stretching and pressure involved by expanding over time. This is called Tissue Expansion and is the same method that is used by certain tribal women to enlarge their necks. The same techniques works extremely well in case of the male penis as well.

These exercises resemble the milking motion and hence, they are also called Milking Exercises. The best past is that you can easily do them at home. All you need is access to a good Jelq routine online so that you know how to do these exercises properly.

A typical jelq schedule does not take more than 10 minutes a day and can help you add upto 3 inches within a few months.

However, success comes to those who are patient.

Tissue expansion or growth takes place at a slow speed. It can be frustrating at times when you do not experience any growth even after performing these exercises. However, what you need to keep in mind is that often periods of no or slow growth are followed with growth spurts which can take you by surprise.

How to Ensure Faster Penis Growth

Faster penis growth is achievable by combining natural penis pills with Jelqs. Such a combination provides amazing results not just in terms of penis growth but also in terms of improved erectile function and health.

There are many penis pills, however, top quality pills that really help penis growth contain some exclusive and rare ingredients such as Pomegranate 70% Ellagen.

Such pills not only increase blood flow to the penis but also help increase testosterone production, providing your body with all that it needs to sustain penis growth.

Pills that contain Pomegranate 70% Ellagen along with other ingredients such as l-arginine, maca, muira pauma, horny goat weed, omega 3 fatty acids etc., are proven to enhance the pace of penis growth by up to 53%.

This is truly incredible!

No wonder, such pills have become extremely popular. But this is not all!

Such pills now include free access to a highly advanced penis exercise guide as a bonus so as to ensure overall sexual enhancement for you.

Some of the benefits of such pills, therefore include:

  • faster penis growth of up to 3 inches and more
  • increased sexual stamina and rock solid erections
  • power to last longer in bed with improved ejaculatory control
  • increased semen production to enjoy massive ejaculations etc.,

Not only this, such pills do not have any side effects.

Do You Think You Deserve To Have It Better Than You Do?

About 6 years ago a psychologist said to me that I may have an entitlement schema. I did not know what she was talking about because I had had a hard life, and I could not see where I was thinking I was entitled.

A few months ago I was reading a book by Caroline Myss and she wrote something that resonated with the core of me. She wrote " Believing you deserve something means that you think you are entitled. I am entitled to heal; I am entitled to guidance; I am entitled to an easy life. with an expectation, either. You do not deserve to be healed because you prayed, you do not deserve to have your prayers answered because you are a good person. To believe in entitlement and divine obligation is to ask for self-inflicted suffering. "

Say what?

That really rattled me. Why else was I praying or believing that I could heal. That I deserved to heal. That God was a loving God?

Was not it natural that we pray for what we want?

I did want an easy life. Who does not?

I've been through a lot. I'd had enough and I just wanted a bit of peace, was that too too much to ask?

Easy Life

Then after my friend died I felt really sorry for myself. Yet another blow.

I do not believe that I have to be a good person in order to have good things happened to me, like a martyr. I do not approach healing or the Divine like a child having eaten all my vegetables and can I now have a treat. If I just be good enough or suffer enough.

But I have wanted an easy life.

Victim Mentality

I also really did start to see how this sense of entitlement was causing me to think like a victim. I had not seen myself as a victim, because I had spent my life doing things to overcome the things that I've been through in my life. But, I was full of self-pity. Not grief. But pity as a dampener of my spirit.

What Fitness Is Teaching Me

My goal at the moment is to get fit. I want to lower my blood pressure and come off meds. I've done a lot of healing on this issue and still low blood pressure eludes me.

And then I got it.

I got how feeling I wanted to have an easy life, was the issue. How I felt like I should have had it different than it was, was keeping me stuck. That my friend should not have died, that I should have had more love as a child, or kinder supporting husbands.

Only if …

I'm not entitled to jack shit. I do not mean that in a low self esteem way. But who says I should not busting my ark getting fit. Who says I should not be taking blood pressure medication. And that I deserve to heal.

Its part of western society thinking too, if we move up the ranks from working class to royalty we get it easier. If we make it in Hollywood and have more money we've made it. We have more entitlement and therefore more freedom.

That's the illusion.

I'm not entitled to happiness. Handed to me on a silver platter. I have to make my happiness. I have to walk those words to get fit. I have to love myself now. Maybe I was never meant to have the love I wanted as a child, for whatever Divine reason.

Maybe the unjustice I've felt, and wanting it to be different, is what's created more of the same. I never liked comparing myself to others and being grateful for what I had, because others had it worse. It felt shaming to me.

But, I am starting to feel the power now that I had thought I would feel if I had been given what I wanted to be given to start with.

Maybe its making lemons into lemonade, but its not whinging that I didnt get lemonade to begin with.

Positive Motivation

I have more of a sense of determination now than I did before. I have wanted to find positive motivation instead of being motivated by fear.

I've set myself a goal to walk a certain track on the hillside here in Christchurch, I decided if it takes me a year to do it, then so be it. That I will do what it takes to accomplish my goal, and not give up because it should be easier than it is. Or that I should have less fear and ideally be off medication.

Before Enlightenment Chop Wood, After Enlightenment Chop Wood

I think praying to God and asking for what we want, or expecting any kind of healing, is still an OK expectation, but doing so without the sense of entitlement has more of an approach of sincerity and purity about it. It also means you're not asking passively and powerlessly, but more actively and gratefully.

My prayer would now sound something like "Please help me to put one foot in front of the other." Whatever the conditions. As opposed to wanting better shoes, or it to be warmer or easier.

Do you give up putting in the effort because you think it's easier for others, or it should be easier for you?

Hepatitis and Sexually Transmitted Diseases Explained

Viral Hepatitis: This is the inflammation and necrosis of the liver caused by a virus or group of viruses.

There are other types of hepatitis including hepatotoxic and drugs related hepatitis and alcoholic hepatitis.

Types of Viral Hepatitis

There are many types of viral hepatitis

Hepatitis A, B, C, D, E and G e.t.c

HEPATITIS B: It is caused by the Hepatitis B virus. A DNA hepadna virus with a partially double-stranded DNA genome.

HEPATITIS C: This is a serious and often-silent liver infection caused by the Hepatitis C virus – a single stranded RNA virus. At least six major genotypes have been identified.

Hepatitis B and C viruses are transmitted by contacts with infected blood or blood products

For example, via contaminated needles (including unsterilized tattoo needles), accidental needle-sticks in healthcare workers, and unprotected sex, sharing nailclippers, razors, or toothbrushes

-Unscreened Blood Transfusions.

It can also be present in saliva, semen and vaginal secretions and through HbsAg positive mothers to child (maternal-neonatal transmission). Hepatitis B is prevalent in homosexuals and intravenous drug users but most cases result from heterosexual transmission. The incubation period of hepatitis B is 6 weeks to 6 months (average of 12 – 14 weeks). That of Hepatitis C is between 6-7 weeks and clinical illness is often mild, usually asymptomatic.

Signs and Symptoms

Hepatitis C has been called “the silent killer” because the virus often hides in the body for years, escaping detection as it attacks the liver. Since most people don’t have warning signs of hepatitis C (or don’t know how or when they were infected).

They don’t seek treatment until many years later. By the time hepatitis C symptoms appear or a diagnosis is made, the damage often is well underway.

If symptoms do appear, they may be mild or severe. Among the most common complaints are:

Muscle or joint pain

Poor appetite

Pain in the upper right part of the abdomen

Dark yellow urine

Yellowish skin or eyes (jaundice)

Itchy skin

Pale stools, easy bleeding, easy bruising.

Yellow Eyes: A Symptom

Acute and Chronic Hepatitis

ACUTE HEPATITIS as the name implies means the illness is sudden and short-lived, occurring within the first two weeks to six months of infection.

In up to 25% of cases, the virus clears from the body on its own without treatment.

For hepatitis to change from an Acute state to Chronic, there should be persistent infection after six months and often much longer.

An estimated 75% to 85% of people with acute hepatitis go on to develop chronic infection.

Diagnosis of Hepatitis

Unless symptoms arise, people with hepatitis C usually don’t know they have the infection until it’s discovered during routine blood testing.

Simple blood test can tell if one is infected or not.

The routine tests include:

Tests for HbsAg

Tests for Anti-HCV.

Further tests and assays are proceeded for individuals who test positive to the above tests.

As many as one in four people with chronic hepatitis C go on to develop cirrhosis, or severe scarring of the liver.

These people may have additional symptoms, including swelling of the legs and abdomen, spider-like blood vessels, and a buildup of toxins in the bloodstream that can lead to brain damage.

Persons with chronic hepatitis B, particularly when HBV infection is acquired early in life and viral replication persists, are at substantial risk of having cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Chronic hepatitis C is also one of the leading causes of liver cancer.

Treatments have vastly improved over the years. Today’s medications are more effective at ridding the body of the virus, and they have fewer side effects.

The type of treatment you receive will depend on the genotype, or strain, of your hepatitis, as well as how much damage the liver has sustained.

The goal of treating chronic hepatitis B is to control the virus and keep it from damaging the liver. This begins with regular monitoring for signs of liver disease.

Antiviral medications may help, but not everyone can take them.

Some of the newest medicines for hepatitis C genotypes 1, 2, and 3 include: Daclatasvir (Daklinza); Elbasvir/grazoprevir (Zepatier); Ledipasvir (Harvoni); Ombitasvir, paritaprevir, and ritonavir with dasabuvir tablets (Viekira Pak); Sofosbuvir/velpatasvir (Epclusa); Sofosbuvir (Sovaldi); Daclatasvir (Daklinza) with sofosbuvir (Sovaldi); and Sofosbuvir/velpatasvir (Epclusa).

The hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for all infants at birth and for adults

Currently, there is no vaccine for Hepatitis C.

Avoid any contacts with body fluids by protecting yourself using protective measures.

Chlamydia:This is a common STD that can lead to infertility if left untreated. It clears up quickly with antibiotics. But it often goes unnoticed because symptoms are vague or absent.

Women with symptoms may notice

– An abnormal vaginal discharge;

– A painful urinating.

Symptoms in men can include:

A discharge from their

A burning sensation when

urinating; (dysuria)

Pain and swelling in one

or both testicles

Can chlamydia be cured?

Yes, chlamydia can be cured with the right treatment. When taken properly it will stop the infection and could decrease your chances of having complications later on.

Gonorrhea spreads easily and can lead to infertility in both men and women.

Antibiotics can stop the infection.

– Burning during urination and discharge.

– Later, the infection may cause skin rashes or spread to the joints and blood.

In Men: Discharge from the penis, swollen testicles.

In Women: Vaginal discharge, pelvic pain, spotting. Symptoms may be mild and are easily confused with a urinary tract or vaginal infection.

Most people don’t notice the early symptoms of syphilis. Without treatment, it can lead to paralysis, blindness, and death.

Syphilis can be cured with antibiotics.

Signs and Symptoms: The first sign is usually a firm, round, painless sore on the genitals or anus. The disease spreads through direct contact with this sore.

Later, there may be a rash on the soles, palms, or other parts of the body, as well as swollen glands, fever, hair loss, or fatigue. In the late stage, damage to organs such as the heart, brain, liver, nerves, and eyes occurs.

Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2

Most cases of genital herpes are caused by a virus called HSV-2. It’s highly contagious and can spread through intercourse or direct contact with a herpes sore.

There is no cure. But antiviral drugs can make outbreaks less frequent and help clear up symptoms more quickly.

Symptoms: Fluid-filled blisters that form painful, crusted sores on the genitals, anus, thighs, or buttocks. Can spread to the lips through oral contact.

The HIV virus weakens the body’s defense against infections. HIV spreads through unprotected sex, needle sharing, or being born to an infected mother. It may cause no symptoms for years, so a blood test is the best way to learn your status.

Timely treatment is important to help prevent serious illnesses. Many have no symptoms, but some people get temporary flu-like symptoms one to two months after infection: swollen glands (seen here), a fever, headaches, and fatigue. Canker sores in the mouth can occur, too.

While there is no cure for HIV, there are medications that can suppress the amount of virus multiplying inside the body. People take a combination of antiviral drugs in hopes of preventing the infection from advancing to AIDS.

Trichomoniasis is caused by a parasite that spreads during sexual contact. It can be cured with prescription drugs.

Signs and Symptoms in Men: Most men have no obvious symptoms. Some develop a mild discharge or slight burning during urination.

Signs and Symptoms in Women: Women may develop a yellow-green discharge with a strong odor, vaginal itching, or pain during sex or urination. Symptoms usually begin five to 28 days after acquiring the parasite.

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is a serious complication of untreated STDs, especially chlamydia and gonorrhea.

It happens when bacteria spread to infect the uterus and other female reproductive organs. Prompt treatment is essential to prevent damage to a woman’s fertility.

Signs and Symptoms: Lower abdominal pain, fever, unusual discharge, painful intercourse, painful urination, and spotting. However, there are often no warning signs.

Who’s at Risk for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active is at risk for an STD, regardless of gender, race, social class, or sexual orientation.

That said, teenagers and young adults acquire STDs more easily than older people.

Can Virgins Get STDs?

Yes, they can. Many STDs spread through any type of sexual activity, including skin-to-skin contact and oral sex. This is especially true of STDs that produce genital lesions or sores.

Preventing STDs

The best ways to avoid getting an STD are to abstain from any sexual contact.

Do not share sharps and needles.

Avoid the use of unsterilised objects.

Make hyiene a priority.

Loss of Reproductive Organs and the Surrogacy Contract

Reimbursement for the Loss of Reproductive Organs is a fairly new concept and one that I honestly disagree with however it doesn’t matter what I think in this case…it matters if it’s a deal breaker to the Surrogate or Intended Parent when it comes to contract issues.

When a surrogate agrees to enter into a contract with Intended Parents it usually written SOMEWHERE in the contract that she, the surrogate, is aware of the complications of child birth. This can be worded in many different ways but what this section is really saying to women is that you know that there are risks to pregnancy and birth. The risk of an ectopic pregnancy, risk of miscarriage, risk of infections, risk of c-sections, risk of high blood pressure, risk of gestational diabetes, risk of hysterectomy, and yes, even the risk of death. This list is as long as my arm but I think my point is very clear. Being a surrogate mother is risky! (which is why you need health and life insurance!)

To ask for a set amount in case there is a loss of reproductive organs has been seen in quite a few of the newer contracts. I have noticed anywhere from $15,000 to $25,000 depending on what reproductive organ is lost. In the case of an ectopic pregnancy an ovary might be damaged or lost and with a hysterectomy the uterus and other parts of the reproductive system are removed. Each of these situations are usually needed in emergency circumstances. Even in the case of a miscarriage with a D&C the uterine lining can be damaged and a condition called Ashermans syndrome can occur and make the surrogate mother unable to carry for anyone, including herself.

Most of these organ threatening situations are rare but they do happen. Many agencies and clinics will ask the woman wanting to be a surrogate if she feels satisfied with her family as it stands at that moment. Would she regret it if she couldn’t add to her own family in the future? If so, is that a risk she is willing to take? And lets be honest, no amount of money is going to placate a woman for her loss of fertility. Even $25,000 isn’t going to scratch the surface of replacing her ability to become pregnant and carry her own child. (How well her very own Intended Parents will know this!)

How to Do the Marseille Turn

The Marseille Turn is a beautiful 360 soccer turn trick, unique to the game of soccer, which involves the player spinning 360 degrees on the field while trying to avoid an opponent and retaining control of the ball.

The trick is sometimes referred to as the Zidane Spin or the 360 turn. The trick was popularized by Diego Maradona and perfected by Zinadine Zidane, although it has been used by many other soccer players including Cristiano Ronaldo, Michael Laudrup, Franck Ribry, Lionel Messi, and Ronaldinho.

The Marseille Turn is the most effective when the opposing player is approaching head on first or from the side of the trick performers master foot.

Before starting to practice this move, you will either need another player or a box on the ground to simulate another player. This will help you visualize the trick easier, than trying to practice against thin air.

Step 1: Push the ball in front of you, about one step in front of you.

Step 2: Try to lure your opponent to go after the ball.

Step 3: When the ball is just outside your opponent’s reach, you stop it by putting your left foot on the ball.

Step 4: Pull the ball backward and turn your body 90 degrees to the right simultaneously.

Step 5: You should receive the ball with your right foot and your back to your opponent. Place your right foot on the ball and continue your rotation to the right.

Step 6: Place you right foot over the ball and slide it past your opponent.

Male Enhancement Exercises & Supplements

Natural male enlargement can be an embarrassing subject, for this reason most men find it difficult to consult their doctors in regards to the size of their penis. The benefit to this is that there are lots of procedures of male enhancement that are safe and efficient, and the best part is you do not need a prescription. The frightening part is that even though there are various safe and effective procedures, there are also procedures that are thought to be of very little benefit and may only damage the penis.

How are you able to tell the safe procedures from the dangerous ones? We are all different, you need to get educated on the different types of natural enhancement and select the procedure that is best fitted to what you are looking for.

Enhancement supplements

The most conventional way of achieving male enhancement is through the help of enhancement supplements or pills. These enhancers typically harbor a specific formula specifically created to increase blood flow into the penis. Some supplements will also heighten the levels of testosterone in the body resulting in an increased sex drive. Most pills are taken one to two times a day and have been known to increase penis size from five to twenty%. Pills combined with penile exercise can increase the rate of growth quite drastically. Ginko biloba, tribulus terrestris, and L-arginine are a few of the important ingredients that these supplements should contain in order to be effective. It's never a bad idea to ask the advice of your physician before taking any supplement just to be on the safe side.

Natural Enhancement Exercises

To see quick results in a short period of time you must partner the supplements with penile exercises. There is no need for any equipment or devices to perform these exercises. If performed correctly they are very safe and effective when accompanied by enlargement pills. Similar to supplementation, the exercises increase the flow of blood to the penis resulting in longer, larger, harder erections. It can be very difficult and quite problematic to find a good exercise program. Make sure to check out many different programs and read a lot of reviews before you adopt the one that is right for you. For extreme results most of the exercise regiments only require about five to ten minutes of exercise each day but they must be done routinely.

Male Enhancement Equipment

Many male enhancement equipment comes with a sort of intimidation, but seems to be very effective in regards to male enlargement. Larger flaccid size has been known to be the result with the use of many different stretching devices, not to mention the bonus of increased girth that comes along with it. The downside is these devices must be worn from 3 to 10 hours at a time to achieve optimal results. Appropriate use of this type of equipment must be executed as it is very easy to overstretch or damage the penis.

For many of us an satisfying sex life is a requirement. Get the most out of your sexual experiences simply by secretly increasing the size and performance of your penis. We all make an effort to take care of our bodies, the penalis no exception.

Outsourcing – Pros And Cons

Stripped of its technical terms, outsourcing is basically the practice of one company to contract another company to provide the services that could have been performed by their own staff. There are many reasons why companies now are on the bandwagon of having some of their services done by others. (It had been an old practice, really.) These outsourced services passed on to other companies are usually call center services, e-mail services, and payroll. These particular jobs are part of the outsourcing trend practiced by many companies these days.

One of the main reasons why companies are into outsourcing is diminished company resources, both in financial terms and in manpower costs. When a company expands (which can be sudden), the growth can start to eat up on the companies resources.

Financially, the company might not be able to match the growth with the needed infusion of money to sustain the expansion. This holds true with their human resources as well.

With the growth, manpower might be sucked up with the new growth and diminish the company’s productivity in its core areas. The service-providing companies can do the work for less costs (thus not over-stretching most of the company’s resources), and has the manpower to do it.

Other Reasons

Efficiency sometimes suffers once there is a sudden expansion that cannot be absorbed by the company’s present staff setup and other resources. If, for instance, there is a huge demand for huge number of their products, other departments might not be up to it.

The purchasing department might need so many men to do the buying of raw materials, for instance. Outsourcing the purchasing department is a good move and costs less.

Other reasons could be that overhead costs might be disastrous to the company’s budget and current plans. Or, perhaps an offshoot to its growth is impossible to meet. If the company had grown to such an extent that it needs a bigger office, outsourcing the functions of the projected new additional staff is cheaper. (Transfer of the whole office to someplace bigger is definitely expensive in time, effort and money values.)

Companies are also bound to experience production demands that come and go in cycles within a year. Outsourcing additional resources during times of so much demand can ease up the company’s problems.

The good part of the deal is that the contracted periods of having these extra jobs outsourced can follow the cyclical production demands. (A toy company’s production department might need more manpower in the middle months of the year to produce the goods needed for, say, Christmas or some holidays.)

On the other hand, this new business model of parceling some important work aspects of a company to another had sparked a mini-controversy which had not been thoroughly resolved even until now. Definitely, there are those who are not fully convinced of the viability of such an arrangement.

The biggest argument against this deal is actually focused on the relationship of the company and its clients. In short, it may invite dissatisfaction from client side. Reasons could range from lower quality of work output, unnecessary dilution of company-client trade secrets, etc.

Control is also put to the test. Some aspects of the company are in danger of spinning out of the company’s control since the outsourced company conducts the decisions that would have been better handled by the parent company.

Some clients are not fully convinced that the outsourced company can function as efficiently as the original contracted company. If they do (most companies can, in practice), clients feel it might be better to deal with the new company rather than their old supplier or contracted business partner.

Riding on this threat is the mounting danger of delayed communications that causes delayed implementation. Without proper management and apportioning of responsibilities, there is tendency that confusion might set in.

Outsourcing had also allowed a political issue to float around – social responsibility. It is said that with more and more companies allocating jobs to foreign countries, the people of the parent company will have reduced opportunities. While this debate and questions are still up in the air, more and more companies are outsourcing some of their work. Offhand, companies and their managers think the current trend is the result of the current situation in commerce and trade all over the world. At the moment, outsourcing looks like it will stay for a while.

What Darts And Dart Boards Are Best?

What Darts should I buy? What Dart Boards are best? Are tungsten Darts better than brass Darts?

These are questions that we are constantly being asked so to assist all the new Darts Players, I have compiled this information. It is meant to provide you with some basic knowledge and advice and we hope that it serves this purpose.

What Dart Board Should I buy? This is probably the most frequently asked question and certainly one of the easiest to answer. There are basically three types of Dart Boards. The kids dart board that we have all played on at some stage, the sisal bristle Dart Board and the electronic Dart Board.

The kids dart boards are generally made of compressed paper, banded with wire and serve the purpose of entertaining kids for a short while. They have a very short life span and within weeks, look tattered or fall apart.

The Sisal Bristle Dart Boards are more expensive but essential for anybody that intends to play often. The board is manufactured from the leaves of the Sisal Cactus, they are tightly bound and will retain their shape, appearance and functionality for a very long term. The major manufacturer is Nodor and we highly recommend their Nodor Supawire and Nodor Supabull II. Advanced players may consider a Nodor Champions Choice, designed with half size doubles, trebles and a mini bull.

The electronic Dart Boards are very popular in America and England but not as popular in Australia. Many of the boards are virtually kids toys, however there are some good, high quality electronic Boards available. These boards require the use of Soft Tip Darts.

Are Tungsten Darts better than Brass Darts?

There are a number of materials that Darts are manufactured from., the main 3 being Brass, Tungsten and Nickel Silver.

Brass Darts are probably the most common and are relatively inexpensive. Prices vary from a few dollars to around $35 and are the best option when you buy your first set of Darts, or are learning to play Darts. They are an inexpensive way of trying different weights and styles, without investing too much money.

Nickel Silver Darts are basically the same as brass Darts, they around the same price range and are generally marginally higher in quality. Like brass Darts, they are suited for use at home or by the occasional Dart Player.

Tungsten Darts are used by the serious Darts Players. These darts are generally high quality and come in a large variety of weights and styles. The tungsten component is generally describes as being 80%, 85% etc. with the higher tungsten value, being the most expensive. Prices start from as little as $15 and go to upwards of $200, depending upon your needs.

What weight Dart is best?

The weight of your Darts is a personal preference. As a general rule, most people would generally throw a weight of 19-24gms. There are of course people that particularly like a heavy weight, such as the Titan Heaviesand others prefer a light weight such as Featherlites.

New Darters should try a few different weights, focusing on 19-24gms for their first set.

Where do I buy Darts from?

The best place to buy Darts is from a reputable dealer that can provide good quality equipment, good prices and after sales service. We recommend the Dart Shop, Australias best online Darts Retailer.

Mexican Dentists Pros and Cons

When an American citizen has a toothache and can’t afford traditional dentists, crossing the border is one option. Our neighboring country of Mexico offers less costly prescription drugs and other medical services including dentistry. Many U.S. residents would not be able to afford certain types of health care without this less expensive option. But is it a good idea? There are pros and cons to leaving the country for dental work.

Some of the positive aspects include:

Less costly: If a person doesn’t have a hefty bank account balance or insurance coverage, American dental work can be out of their price range. A crown, which may cost up to $4,000 in the states may cost less than $1,000 across the border. That’s a huge savings!

Same day service: Mexican clinics are usually able to see patients right away. The labs are quicker to make crowns and other items than our country’s labs. In the United States, the wait for a porcelain crown may be a couple of weeks, but Mexican crowns may be ready by the next day.

Vacation at the same time: Many oral health care practices in our sister country are located close to the beach. What better place to wait for your appointment time to arrive? Some patients are combining a waterfront vacation at the same time as accomplishing their oral health care goals. With all the money saved on the less expensive services, why not?

Technology and training has improved: Initially, the dental and medical communities across borders were substantially inferior to the rigid standards set in the states. This has been changing over time and the foreign countries’ practices have greatly improved, especially in major cities.

Some of the negative aspects include:

Drug Traffic Criminals: Unfortunately, drug trafficking has reached an all time high which has caused more crime to occur. Some innocent by-standers have been caught in the crossfire of these unsavory criminal activities.

Not all practitioners are well qualified: A citizen needs to thoroughly check out their prospective dental health care workers. This is true in all countries, but the U.S. has stricter regulatory practices that promote a broader range of safety standards and well as trained, high quality practitioners.

Far away if anything goes wrong: The unfortunate side of traveling to a far-away locale to have any type of medical service performed is the fact that it IS far away. Should something go wrong while you’re outside your home nation, your own docs are unavailable. If something goes wrong after you’re back home, it’s a long way to travel to have the problem remedied. An ill-fitting crown or botched root canal can become a serious issue that will need to be tended to by a local doctor. Trying to save money can sometimes cost a lot more in the long run.

Are dentists in Tijuana or Chihuahua a good idea? This is an individual decision every person must make for themselves. Weighing the pros and cons as well as talking to friends and relatives who’ve traveled for health care would be a wise idea.

Tips To Take Care of Your Yorkie

Yorkies feature silky, long coats, and this small breed of dogs is quite popular dog lovers. At first, they were raised in England to help textile factories get rid of rats. Since then, these dogs have become great companion dogs and common people have started to raise them. Their real name is Yorkshire Terrier but they are called yorkies with love. These dogs are really energetic. Moreover, they require exercise, grooming and companionship to stay happy and healthy just like other dogs. Here are a few tips for you to take good care of your yorkie.

Bathe your yorkie

Bathing your yorkie is a good idea to keep them clean and odorless. Generally, you should bathe them at least once per month. Bathing them more often may cause dryness and irritation. You can use shampoo and conditioners for keeping their hair clean and strong.

Give it a haircut

Make it part of your routine to trim their hair on a regular basis. If not groomed properly, their hair can get matted and tangled. When brushed or washed, they will not lose too many hair. Also, keep in mind that your yorkie will not shed its coat unlike other dogs. You can trim their hair on your own or you can hire a professional.

Brush its Coat

Yorkies have long coats that get tangled quickly if you do not brush them repeatedly. You can keep their coat length short for their convenience. However, keep in mind that short coats need to be brushed more frequently. Do not brush too hard and use a leave-in conditioner for moisturizing the hair after each episode of brushing.

Make Topknots

The hair of your yorkie will grow fast and hang over their eyes. To keep the hair from getting into its eyes, you can either make a topknot or keep the hair really short. Aside from this, you can use a comb to remove the knots from the hair and then secure the hair with a band.

Trim the nails

Just like other dogs, your yorkie will continue to grow its nails with the passage of time. To avoid overgrowth, you can trim its nails once every 2 months. If you find your dog biting its nails, it's time to trim their nails. Overgrown nails cause pain and discomfort.

Choose nutritious food

Your yorkie will not eat a good deal of food, especially if it's an adult. You can feed your dog only once a day or leave the food portion in their house for the entire day. Make sure your dog has access to fresh, clean water throughout the day. You can buy a small bowl so that your dog can drink water easily.

Yorkies do not need a special type of food and can eat commercial dog food available in the market. Remember: it's not a good idea to overfeed your yorkie or it may run into health problems.

So, these are a few tips for you to keep your yorkie health through its life. Good luck with taking care of your puppy.

Preventing Breast Cancer – How to Reduce Your Risk

An ad in my local newspaper read, “You Can’t Prevent Breast Cancer.” Reading this, I was upset when I thought about the thoughts of the women who read the ad: that they can only hope for the best. Preventing breast cancer has been made out to be a long shot, it seems.

This message is reinforced in subtle ways repeatedly in our medically dependent society. In grocery stores, PSA’s printed on shopping bags and at checkouts say “Early Detection: Your Best Protection.” A grocery store would be one of the best places to say, “Great Food Choices Available in the Produce Section, Scientifically Supported Real Prevention.”

Please understand that preventing breast cancer is not 100% possible. But you can reduce your risk, and the biggest achievable piece of that reduction is in your choices of foods.

The other good news: eating to reduce breast cancer risk is also really good prevention for heart disease (the leading killer of women), and similarly reduces the risk of prostate cancer (men), and other cancers. This is another great example of the holistic medicine approach, using one natural approach to health (in this case a cancer prevention diet) that benefits multiple outcomes at the same time.

A few things you can do to prevent breast cancer are:

1) Keep a sufficient daily intake of a wide variety of fresh vegetables and fruits

2) Keep your body weight normal and stay active throughout your life

3) Carefully choose the fats and oils you eat

4) Choose whole grains instead of refined sugars and flours

5) Avoid environmental toxins (including alcohol and charred meats)

6) Breast feed your baby

7) Supplement your diet with antioxidants like green tea

Monthly self breast exams and mammograms are also important. I say this because detecting breast cancer early means that as a result, you have ample time to start treating it.

One of the things I love about studying the healing properties of foods, whole foods specifically, is their multi-potent qualities. A single whole food rarely can be found which protects against only one disease, or promotes health in only one area.

And so it is with Rainbow Chard: we know because of its high levels of natural carotenoids (Vitamin A) that it contributes strongly to reduction in breast cancer risk. Rainbow Chard is a spectacular source of Vitamin A (as natural mixed carotenoids), providing over 5000 IU per ½ cup cooked serving. It is also a very generous source of vitamin K for strong bones (4 times your daily requirement in that ½ cup!), and provides a good dose of vitamin C and magnesium. That vitamin A protects the respiratory system, improves skin health, and along with other antioxidants protects the heart. Vitamin C serves of course as a very important antioxidant and is critical for wound healing and repair of the connective tissues that keep our bodies intact.

I am specifically emphasizing Rainbow Chard in this article for the very reason that it displays that splash of several bright colors. The research on phytonutrients is in its infancy, so we probably do not fully appreciate the disease preventing (including preventing breast cancer) value of all those natural pigments in Chard which show up as red, purple, and yellow stems in the middle of those deep green leaves. What we do know, especially from the research of Dr. David Heber (What Color is Your Diet?) is that purposely eating a rainbow of colors every day as fresh produce prevents many diseases, from cancers to heart disease and more.

Fall is a good time to look for chard in your local markets, because like many greens it grows well as a cool weather crop. So it may be that your local farmers are bringing it to market now, and that would be the best to get, a bunch that didn’t have to travel far to your table. But even in a large supermarket, this delicious a nutritious vegetable is a great choice; enjoy it now and commit to a healthier you with a rainbow of vegetable and fruit colors on your plate.

Rainbow Chard with Sundried Tomatoes (thanks to my wife Gail for this one)

First clean the large leaves by immersing in a sink-full of clean cold water, this gets any dirt or sand out of the curly leaves better than rinsing. Then cut off just the very bottom inch of the tough stem with a knife. Fold the leaf longways (like a paper airplane) and lay flat on a cutting board to cut slices across the leaf and the stem. The large pieces of stem below the leaf can be cut as well into short segments similar to celery. Definitely use these stem pieces, but they have to be cooked longer. Take a large flat bottom pan on the stove, heat 3 tbsp olive oil in the bottom, then sauté only the stem pieces with a clove of crushed garlic about 5 minutes. Then add 1/3 cup chopped sundried tomatoes and stir until hot. Place all the leaves in the pot, stir for one minute or until they start to wilt, then turn the heat down and cover the pot with a lid for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat, and stir again to make sure it is ready to serve. Do not overcook, as it may become bitter. This makes a delicious side dish especially for a pasta or fish meal.

In Honor Of National Diabetes Month-2 Silver Bullets For Sugar Balance

Did you know that the average American consumes more than 120 pounds of sugar per year, which is approximately 45 teaspoons per day?

Did you know that recent statistics have shown that two-thirds of Americans are overweight or obese and that thirty percent of American children are obese?

According to the latest research out of the University of Missouri, one in four Americans are struggling with diabetes with the majority of them as type 2. In addition, millions of us are in a state of insulin resistance, or pre-diabetes, that could progress into diabetes.

Do you remember hearing that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Now imagine how you feel when you skip breakfast. Your body begins to run low on energy, and your fuel supply, like the engine in your car, begins to slow down thereby causing you to run on fumes. So, by mid morning, you grab a high-calorie food item like a muffin or donut to relieve your hunger. What happens next? This high calorie, sugary snack causes insulin to be releasedout of the pancreas into the bloodstream, while the body is trying to adapt to the surge in blood glucose from the snack just eaten.

When this pattern is repeated throughout the day, blood sugar levels show sharp spikes-both highs and lows. Over time, the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas wear outleading to high levels of blood glucose which is called diabetes.Normal fasting blood sugar should be less than 100mg/dl.

Diabetes can cause many serious health issues and is associated with obesity, heart disease, and increased mortality. It is the fifth deadliest disease in the United States.A preventative approach would be to make sure that blood glucose levels are stable throughout the day. Our brain needs a continuous level of blood sugar to avoid anxiety caused by blood sugar fluctuations.

Are you at risk for diabetes?

·Do you have a family history of diabetes?

·Are you overweight?

·Do you have high blood pressure?

·Are your cholesterol levels abnormal?

·Are you over 45?

·Do you have a history of gestational diabetes?

A new meta-analysis of 13 randomized controlled trials involved more than 33,000 people showed that drug treatment of type 2 diabetes is not only ineffective, it’s dangerous as well. These medications poison the enzymes in our body and disrupt the normal biochemical pathways. In general, a drug therapy protocol should treat the underlying cause of the illness that the drug is being prescribed for. Treatment with glucose-lowering drugs actually showed the potential to increase your risk of death from heart-related and all other causes. These medications should be used as a last resort, after diet and lifestyle modifications have been explored.

Keep in mind that the medical community that runs the major research and treatment protocols for diabetes does not look favorably on chiropractic and nutritional supplementation. The American Diabetes Association does NOT recommend vitamin or mineral supplementation-in fact they recommend against it.However, it’s okay to have a daily alcoholic beverage. Therefore, be aware that you may need help to better discern the advice you are receiving from the many sources.

So, what are the keys in diabetes prevention?

There are real action steps every American can do to support their health and well-being focusing on lifestyle choices daily that include diet and exercise.

First line treatments in blood sugar balance include lifestyle modifications with weight loss as one of the primary goals.Dietary modifications are paramount, asit has been suggested that a person 30% or more overweight for over 30 years will develop diabetes.

Increasing fiber, (guar, pectin, oats, psyllium, bran, fruits, vegetables and beans) and watching the glycemic index of foods (foods which don’t create a quick glucose-insulin response) is essential in managing blood sugar levels.

A regimen high in whole grains, beans, legumes, vegetables and whole fruits (whole fruits are much lower on the glycemic index than juices) will keep the blood sugar even without fluctuation.

Avoid refined, processed foods, as they have “hidden” sources of fructose in them. Fructoseshould be eliminated from your diet with a total daily intake of below 25 grams.

Increase complex carbohydrates and fiber, and balance with enough high protein foods. Most refined foods contain high levels of high fructose corn syrup, which lack vital nutrients and cause wide blood sugar fluctuations.

Two servings of beans per day may help control blood sugar levels (soak beans in several drops of iodine) to alleviate gas-producing effects.

Moderate amounts of lean meat, fish and unsaturated fats are helpful.

Small, frequent meals eaten throughout the course of the day will alleviate adrenal and pancreas stress by maintaining blood glucose levels.

A vegetarian diet may be helpful. Onions and garlic have blood-sugar lowering effects.(Murray, M., N.D. Natural Alternatives to Over-the-Counter and Prescription Drugs, William Morrow and company, Inc NY, 1994, p.179).

Follow an elimination/rotationdiet to detect food allergies or sensitivities.

Diets eliminating an entire food category, like “Atkins”, will likely be ineffective in the long term.

Diets that severely restrict calories provide too little nutrition and are not metabolically healthy. (below 1200 calories)

Being around overweight people regularly makes it more difficult to lose weight. (ie. Similar to a smoker trying to quit smoking and being with smokers socially)

Supplementation may include:

+ Vitamin D

+ Cinnamon

+ Fish Oil

+ Co-Q-10

+ Chromium

+ Biotin

+ Magnesium Citrate (commonly deficient in diabetes)

+Iodine (commonly deficient in diabetes)

+ Alpha Lipoic Acid

+ Niacin

+ Vitamin E, C, B’s

+ Phosphatidylcholine

+ Bromelain

+ Zinc

+ Adrenal and pancreas support

+ HCL and pancreatic enzymes

+ Calcium and magnesium

+Folic Acid

+Cinnamon Bark

Herbal products may include:

+ Fenugreek

+ Guar gum

+ Milk Thistle

+ Gymnema

+ Bitter Melon

+ Apple pectin, Beet powder and Oat Fiber

Studies have shown that exercise (with a goal of at least 150 min/week) resulting in weight loss reduced the risk of type 2 diabetes. Moderate exercise is suggested to increase cell sensitivity to insulin. The same studies found lifestyle changesto be superior to Metformin.Regular exercise can result in a loss of fatfrom the abdominal section of your body and reduce the inflammatory cells that cause insulin resistance and diabetes.Be mindful of your exercise routine and don’t overdo it when you are a beginner. Some important keys to consider with exercise include:Frequency, Intensity and Length of time.A comprehensive workout plan should include cardio-vascular training, core exercises, strength training and flexibility/ stretching.

Stress and Hormones:

Decreasing stress, thereby lessening strain on the adrenal glands will result in better overall health and contribute to keeping the body’s insulin levels in check.DHEA is one of our adrenalhormones which help to regulate our blood sugar and an effective weight management tool. Type 2 Diabetes may also occur from a faulty leptin signaling and insulin resistance. Leptin is produced in your fat cells and is a hormone that regulates appetite and body weight. It signals our brain regarding when to start and stop eating and how much to eat. It’s greatly responsible for whether or not one becomes insulin resistant. Therefore, it is vital to have one’s hormones evaluated by an integrative medical professional.

Other lifestyle/diet changes to consider:

You can eat sweets occasionally, as a treat, without feeling guilty, however, moderation is the key. Consider swapping a high carbohydrate-containing food in your meal for something with fewer carbohydrates and eat the remaining carbohydrates as a sweet. For example, if you were going to include a potato, rice or pasta with your meal and a slice of bread, consider not eating that and instead enjoy a cupcake, or the like.

Artificial Sweeteners:

Be aware that many products made with artificial sweeteners, as baked goods and artificially sweetened puddings, etc still contain calories and carbohydrates that can affect your blood sugar level. Sugar alcohols still contain calories, so check product labels for words as: “isomalt,” “mannitol,” “sorbitol,” and “xylitol.” In general, eating foods that are chemically created may not be the best choice. Items containing saccharin, aspartame and sucralose (splenda) have been shown to cause various adverse reactions.

Two natural sweeteners, Stevia (Truvia, Pure Via) which is a plant found in South America and agave nectar (Wholesome Sweeteners, Madhava) offer other options for sweetening your food. However, you will need to experiment with the sugar-to-sweetener ratio, which is different for each product, until you like the taste. Since agave nectar isn’t calorie or carbohydrate-free, it shouldn’t be considered for weight management, however, it does have a lower glycemic index than does sugar, so it won’t affect your glucose level as much.

Eating healthfully and regular exercise are vital parts of the solution to control obesity, heart disease and diabetes. The results have a magical effect on resetting one’s metabolic clock thereby shifting the pattern of storing fat to a pattern of burning fat.

Stopping smoking, moderating alcohol intake and proper sleeping habits will help to alleviate blood chemistry surges, which in turn will promote a thriving, well-balanced body.

Therefore, by correcting the underlying causes of poor lifestyle choices which include a diet of whole, living foods, supplementation, exercise, and hormonal balance, one can effectively manage their blood sugar.
