Is it the Flu – Or is it Influenza?

I was talking to my mother the other day and she told me that she had already had the “flu” this year. Upon further questioning, it turned out that she had a gastrointestinal illness for a day or two. A couple days later when I was working in the hospital Emergency Department, the paramedics called to say that they were bringing in a patient who had “flu-like symptoms”.

It also turned out that she had a gastrointestinal illness. So obviously there is much confusion, even in the medical world, about what the “flu” is.

The REAL flu is a virus called influenza.

When you contract influenza, you get “cold-like symptoms”: stuffy nose, joint aches, headache, coughing, fever and fatigue. It often seems like a cold except that you feel a LOT worse and it generally comes on VERY quickly. When people get a “flu vaccine”, they are getting vaccinated against THIS virus- Influenza. When the news reports on the Avian flu or Swine Flu it is THIS virus that they are talking about.

Now, when you get a gastrointestinal illness, usually accompanied by diarrhea and often nausea and vomiting, this is NOT influenza, but likely some other virus… possibly the Norovirus.

Norovirus is a very contagious virus that causes nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. It often goes through a household or office with EVERYONE getting it very quickly. Many people think that they have food poisioning when they get the norovirus.

But it is NOT the flu!!

There is no vaccine to prevent you from getting this uncomfortable gastrointestinal problem. I hope that clears up any confusion about the flu for anyone who thought that gastrointestinal problems were somehow related to the influenza vaccine or the Bird Flu.

However, these two viruses ARE LINKED!

A poor immune system is responsible for BOTH of these diseases. While yes, they are “contagious”, you need not CATCH them from other people if your immune system is “bulletproof”. It is a MYTH that someone else GIVES you a cold, the flu or the norovirus- YOU give it to yourself by not being able to fight it off. While you DO have to have exposure to the virus (although even that is debatable by some scientists), you do NOT have to catch it.

You know how some people seem to always avoid getting the ‘office bug’ or have never missed a day of work in 20 years? That is not some fluke, that person’t immune system has the same potential that YOURS does, but they are actually USING their potential.

It takes some lifestyle changes and habit changes that are not always easy for people to do, but having a “bulletproof” immune system is an attainable goal- one that should actually be considered “normal” rather than spectacular.

Five Kinds of Healthy Drinks at Dinner Party

At the end of the year, different holidays come one after another. After having been busy for a whole year, everyone wants to have a good rest, so there will be a lot of gatherings and dinner parties among friends. At the dinner party, people always drink too much alcohol, which may easily harm the body. Then what kinds of drinks should we choose at the dinner party, so as to protect our health? The following section will recommend five healthy drinks for everyone.

First, yoghurt
Yoghurt contains a large number of active lactic acid bacteria, which can regulate the flora balance in the intestinal tract. If you have to drink alcohol at the party, it is best to drink a glass of yogurt first, which can play a good buffering function in the stomach. What's more, yoghurt has a certain feeling of fullness, so it can make you eat less oil and fatty food after drinking.

Second, fruit juice
Fruit juice contains a large number of vitamins, minerals, and a certain amount of biologically active substances and dietary fiber, so it can make up for the lack of nutrition when you drink alcohol. It is best to drink freshly squeezed juice, which has the best nutrition. If the juice has been placed for a long time, it is easy to be oxidized.

Third, tomato juice
Tomato juice contains a lot of nutrients, such as vitamin C, minerals, lycopene, and so on. Especially lycopene, it has the most prominent health benefits on human body, and has strong antioxidant activity. What's more, lycopene has a good effect of clearing away the free radicals in the body, which is far better than that of other carotenoids and vitamin E. As a result, it is also known as "plant gold".

Fourth, soybean milk
Soybean milk contains various kinds of nutrients, including unsaturated fatty acids. It is low in saturated fatty acids and contains no cholesterol. What's more, soybean milk also contains a small amount of soluble dietary fiber, which can help to promote the peristalsis of the gastrointestinal tract and prevent constipation. Sugar-free or low-sugar soybean milk has much better effect.

Fifth, tea
The tea polyphenol and caffeine contained in tea have the effect of preventing cancer, cardiovascular diseases and so on. Green tea, Oolong tea, Pu'er tea, black tea, and spotted tea are all good choices. During the winter, it is best not to drink the tea which has become cold, because it is easy to cause diarrhea, which is very bad for the health of the body.

Polyethylene Packaging 101

Resins … Film thickness … Tensile strength … Impact resistance … What do all of these terms mean to you when purchasing your polyethylene bags?

Unless you are a poly salesman or have a degree in Plastics Engineering, the terminology used in the industry probably makes your head spin. To assist you, we've created Polyethylene Packaging 101.

Resins (Defined as: Any of numerous commonly similar polymerized synthetics or chemically modified natural resins including thermoplastic materials such as polyvinyl, polystyrene, and polyethylene and thermosetting materials such as polyesters, epoxies, and silicones that are used with fillers, stabilizers, pigments, and other components to form plastics.)

You may find it overwhelming with all the different resins available these days. How does one choose when you have octene, metalocene, butene, hexene, etc … A knowledgeable sales representative will be able to help determine what grade to use. Each grade has different characteristics and choices should be based on applications. Understanding resin properties is critical in forming the right product for your specific application.

Film Thickness (Gauge)

Polyethylene film thickness is measured by thousands of an inch, or milli-inch. The thickness of the bag does not always correlate into strength. A heavy gauge bag is not always strong. Most often it is a combination of resin grade and gauge relative to the application. A 2 mil octene linear bag will have more strength than a 2 mil butene linear.

Tensile Strength vs. Impact Resistance

  • Tensile strength is the maximum stress that a material can withstand while being stretched or folded before breaking. Why is this important?

It's important to have a plastic bag that is strong enough for your application. A plastic bag that holds 50 pounds of material must have adequate tensile strength, otherwise the bag will end up breaking.

  • Impact resistance is a material's ability to resist shock loading. What does this mean?

Basically it is the film's ability to resist being punctured. A punctured bag may result in contaminated goods or product loss.

When choosing the correct gauge and resin formula it is important to consider how tensile strength and impact resistance are relevant to your packaging application. An example that everyone can relate to is a garbage bag. I'm sure most have had failure in a garbage bag wherever it breaks when lifting out of the can (tensile strength) or waste material punctures holes in it (impact resistance). With all these variables in choosing the correct formula for your polyethylene package, having a knowledgeable salesman is vital.

Who knew there was so much to know about making Polyethylene "Film and Bags"!?!

Sexy Body Language Tips for the First Date

You are on your first date with your dreamdate. Sexual body language signals to tell you they are hot for you. Tips on flirting for the successful dating game.

1: Gazing adoringly. When attracted to someone, we all have problems shifting our gaze. Even when the object of our lust has ceased speaking, the lustful stare is still happening. To be a little provocative, use this to your advantage, and during a pause in conversation, keep your eyes on your date to the silent count of five. Conversely, the more often your date blinks, the more nervous they are.

2: Hands. Clenched fists, tightly knitted hands or hands pressed against the mouth indicate nervousness and tension. Worse still, is if their hands are holding up their head as this shows total boredom, or they are about to collapse with fatigue or alcohol. Anxious people tend to

hold their own hands or fidget with objects on the table. Hands placed openly with palms facing upwards on the table indicate a more relaxed open person. If you are terribly nervous, try having your hands loosely clasped on the table, as this gives off better vibes than gripping your fingers together or folding your arms. Placing your hands on your chest while speaking makes you appear lively and truthful.

3: Volume of speech. If they consider you their equivalent, their tone won’t be too high or too low. Very loud voices tend to belong to dominant personalities and very soft veer to the meek.

4: Subconscious autoerotic touching. Sexy thinking leads us to subconsciously touch ourselves, for several reasons. Firstly, to gain attention to various body parts. Guys and girls will both stroke their lips and girls will rub their upper arms, thighs, hips and waists. Secondly, we touch ourselves to tease the other. Thirdly, when sexually excited, blood is rushing around engorging extremities, making everything supersensitive. Touching ourselves then feels good.

5: Mouth. A very strong sexual body language gesture is when your date starts to eat, drink or smoke faster. Thinking about sex gets you touching your mouth. Putting things in your mouth can imply that you are interested sexually. Girls lick ice cream cones, play with spoons and suck their fingers.

6: Her Hair. Interested girls will start playing with their hair. Fluffing her hair, stroking her hair, and the strongest of all, the flick of the hair, are all body language signals of availability or flirting. However, if she should start to hide behind her hair she is showing disinterest.

7: Fiddling Guys. As guys become more sexually excited they start to give off their own flirting signals. These can include rubbing his nose, playing with his tie, sliding rings over fingers, and fiddling with loose coins in his pocket. Adjusting his hair is a sign that he is wanting to look good for you.

8:Checking out your butt. If you catch your date checking out your butt when you leave the table to visit the bar or bathroom, then they are having lustful thoughts.

9: Symbolically stripping. Undoing buttons, loosening ties, removing jackets and pushing up sleeves are all strong sexual body language gestures. Publicly undressing without realizing it ,is mother nature’s way of getting us naked with someone we share sexual chemistry with.

10: Touching. Unsure where the date is going? Try the touch test. Touch their hand, arm or shoulder. Unless they are shy, they should return the touch within 10 minutes if they like you.

On a good first date , there should be three sets of touching for three seconds each time.

11: The wineglass. The date is a winner if he is rubbing the rim of his glass with his fingers. Likewise, if she is stroking her glass up and down. If she is also making direct eye contact and playing with her straw she is definitely flirting. However, wine glasses held at chest height or higher are a sign that there will not be a second date. Likewise, if your date wraps both their hands around their glass.

The wineglass test. This is a great subconscious body language test to gauge that first date. Start playing with an object from your side of the table eg: wineglass, spoon etc. Lean forward just slightly and subtly move it just onto your date’s side of the table. Remove your hands, lean back and keep talking. If your date absentmindedly pushes it back to you they are not interested. If they leave it where it is, or hold it, you are in luck. To take it further, push another object their way and leave your arms on the table. The keen date will now lean forward as well and push something from their side of the table over to you.

12: Kiss, kiss. All these are strong signals that your date is receptive to a kiss: touching their mouth, licking their lips, putting their head close to yours, eating and drinking seductively, and tilting their head while looking at you.

Start the kiss with a soft light brush against their lips. If they pull back, clench their lips or slap your face, you should stop! If they lean in, part their lips or touch the back of your neck they are happy to continue.

The art of flirting through nonverbal communication has never been easier! Use this dating advice for interpreting body language and sending out your own sexual signals. Flirt that first date into a second date!

Happy Flirting! Coco Swan.

Coma and Semi-Coma – Ayurvedic Herbal Treatment

Coma refers to a state of unarousable psychological unresponsiveness in which the subject lies with eyes closed and shows no response to external stimuli or inner need. Involuntary functions like heart-beat and respiration continue, though they may be irregular due to some concurring or causative disease. Deep coma refers to a state where corneal, pupillary, pharyngeal, tendon and plantar reflexes are all absent. Reflex eye movements are usually preserved in lesser degrees of coma. Semi-coma refers to that state where an individual responds to a painful stimuli by groaning, opening the eyes or with irregular respiration. The Glasgow Coma Scale is used to quantify the severity of coma by measuring eye -opening, motor response and verbal response. Coma may be caused by brain lesions, trauma, metabolic abnormalities, infections and drugs or physical agents.

The modern management of coma consists of removal of the cause; ensuring proper respiration and circulation; care of skin, bowels and bladder; control of infection; and surgical intervention if required. Ayurvedic medicines can be given as additional supportive therapy in order to reduce the duration of coma, facilitate early recovery and prevent long term disability. The Ayurvedic treatment of coma consists of giving supportive therapy to preserve and maintain life and treating the known cause. Medicines like Arjun (Terminalia arjuna), Pippali (Piper longum), Kantakari (Solanum xanthocarpum), Kutki (Picrorrhiza kurroa), Kutaj (Holarrhina antidysentrica), Bhumiamalaki (Phyllanthus niruri), Gokshur (Tribulus terrestris), Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa) and Triphala (Three fruits) are used to maintain adequate functioning of important organs like the heart, lungs, liver and kidneys. Which Are the Things Causing Damage to Your Hair?

The dreary existence of the hair are not fit for the occasions when you have to make sure that your hair turns out to look their best. A number of things have to be kept in mind before you fix yourself on a specific hairstyle. Heat styling is the main factor that causes excessive damage to the follicles, strands, and tips of the hair in general.

You may not be aware of this, but heat styling is the enemy of the hair as it not only absorbs the hydration of the hair but it also prevails the hair from producing the natural oils. Selecting products that are produced with the help of natural or herbal ingredients is the best thing that you can do. Apart from that, if you notice your hair falling out or any other form of hair loss, then you have to take care of it there and then to stop the problem from exceeding.

Buying products that are infused with sulfur or ammonia, etc., can do more harm than good to your hair. You have countless options to take care of your hair but when you do not pay attention to this matter, the problems can get out of hand, leading to baldness. The pattern of hair loss for men and women both differ which should be noticed ahead of time. Another key feature that ruins the health of your hair is choosing the products that do not go with the type of hair that you have.

Applying unusual products can lead to the downfall of the health and condition of your hair. The moisture of the hair should be maintained at all costs, and the easiest way to protect it is by using a leave-in conditioner, or a regular, yet relevant, conditioner while taking a shower. Taking exceptionally warm showers is also one of the major causes of damage, as the scalp does not remain hydrated, extremely leads to hair loss and dandruff.

Washing your hair on a daily basis is also liable for the ruined texture of your hair as it does not allow the scalp to produce the natural oils, which keeps it hydrated and maintains the balance of the PH level of the scalp. Nourishing products manufactured and designed with hair care formulas works on the hair like magic. Out of the many things to bear in mind while considering hair damage is the volume of your hair. You simply can not skip the volume and nature of your hair while opting for a specific style or product.

The texture of the hair mainly depends on the health of your hair, so if you have a dull hair, it is easily identified by the naked eye.

Biotin and Hair Loss – The Wonder Vitamin For Your Hair?

Biotin is primarily a component of vitamin B; individuals who go through treatment with medications such as Minoxidil and other hair loss medications (Propecia) typically need added supplementation with biotin for optimal results. This next brings us to the question of what exactly is biotin and its role in hair loss or propagation.

Biotin and Hair Loss — What You Need To Know

Biotin is primarily, what makes up your hair and nails; this vitamin is not manufactured within the human body; instead it is received through the consumption of foods such as green peas, egg yoke, nuts (particularly, walnuts), soybeans, boats, brown rice etc..

A little known fact is that biotin and proteins bind very easily. When this occurs, it fails to reach the destination of hair and therefore hair loss will increase. Accordingly, it would be best to avoid all different kinds of protein powders and raw eggs.

The good news is that you can deliver biotin to your hair in various other ways other than through ingestion and/or injections. You could use shampoos that have biotin within them with and you would get virtually the same end results as you would have had if you would have attempted to take biotin orally. This is how a person can prove the connection that is between biotin and hair loss.

There are instances where regardless of all the possible recommendations as well as treatments, biotin does not appear to get absorbed well through the blood. When very studies have been taken, they have highlighted a problem between biotin and hair loss; it was discovered that some individuals were unable to absorb any amount of biotin at all. On additional investigation of biotin and hair loss, it was found very clearly that individuals who have typed A blood are unable to absorb this type of vitamin.

The solution is that for those who have type A blood should not intake extra dosages of biotin. The optimal intake for these kinds of people would be five to eight grams per day. Fortunately there are little to no side effects, within the recommended limits of ingestion. The biotin and hair loss equation can also be interrupted when a person uses medicines for heartburn and/or acid reflux.

In addition to the above, there is nothing that would likely prevent biotin from working efficiently to restore hair growth for individuals who happen to suffer from hair loss. Individuals who need this type of vitamin can have it both in the form of pills (vitamin supplements), and through vegetables and fruits which are very rich in vitamin B. The biotin and hair loss connection has been distinguished well enough to be used as a natural remedy.

Do Carpal Tunnel and Whiplash Secretly Have a Relationship With Each Other

Carpal tunnel’s problems can take time to show themselves. It feels like we are healthy for one minute with no problems at all. However, carpal tunnel suffers find that there comes a day when their hands begin to feel numb. It can be quite scary. We, as humans, try to tough things out and do things that would normally help us feel better. We try stretching, exercising the fingers, and then try to go back to work as soon as possible. The outcome is always the same, the pain and numbness continues and it does not cease to interrupt what would otherwise be a productive workday.

Many people ask themselves a very simple question in their own minds, “why is this happening to them?” The pain and inconvenience of carpal tunnel syndrome strikes quickly. The problem can leave the stoutest of workers feeling terrible about how they cannot live up to their own expectations about how much work they can do in a day.

The question that remains after all of that is what is the underlying cause of the problem? A health professional will usually try to pinpoint the cause of the problem by asking about any injuries to the extremities that may explain the sudden onset of the problem. However, most people with carpal tunnel syndrome will say that they did not suffer any injuries in their hands. It is not uncommon for both hands to have problems. A hard landing on one wrist could have easily involved both of them without the person realizing that they braced themselves with both hands or landed in a way that was awkward for the otherwise unaffected hand. The problem may not even rear its head for days, but the symptoms may present themselves as soon as within minutes.

It is important to realize that our problem here is much different. We are talking about a very specific problem, carpal tunnel syndrome. Carpal tunnel may be very slow to show itself, however, it tends to show up unexpectedly. A person can work normally for a day and then find that they are completely incapable of working the next day.

The cause of the problems is the nerves that run through the wrists. The nerves that we are talking about run from the neck, through the shoulder, travel to the arm then into our extremities where the carpal tunnel or carpal canal is found.

Some people think that typing can be very hard on the fingers with the impact stress. Some people also think that it cannot be healthy for the hand either. Yet, a person needs to think about the other areas where those nerves begin or cross in order to have a good understanding of what is happening in their body. It is very easy to damage these spots in other types of accidents. The neck is a common place of the body where problems can occur. The problems may be from car accidents or even lingering issues from sports activities. Ligaments, discs, and the neck itself are very vulnerable to damage when any sort of whiplash motion occurs.

Typing on a computer or other machine can also be damaging to our neck. The forward bend we maintain to type can be very hard on the neck, especially when a person has to maintain the position for very long periods of time. The body is programmed to adjust to what we do on a regular basis. The fact that our bodies do this means that our bodies adjust to our forward head posture, which can cause our muscles to be over stretched over time. Pain and numbness follow those adjustments and they become stopping points in our productive lives. The nerves can be more susceptible to damage if a whiplash occurs because of the way we position our heads, in this case. A whiplash with a forward bent head could cause enough problems to bring on the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome. A doctor should always look beyond the hand and wrist when evaluating a carpal tunnel syndrome case.

The position may also cause the lower back to be out of alignment, which can cause a slew of other problems such as pain or even sciatica. Strangely enough, many times that problem very rarely begins in the leg itself. Carpal tunnel syndrome is very much alike in that regard. The cause of the problem is not immediately obvious upon a first examination unless that examination is very thorough. If your carpal tunnel syndrome problems do not seem to go away when getting conventional treatments, then you should consider visiting a chiropractor. The chiropractor should do a thorough examination of the problem that includes all of the possible causes of your carpal tunnel syndrome. It will be very important to tell the chiropractor about any and all spinal injuries that you may have lived through in the past. Bar Interview Attire – What Clothes To Wear To A Bar Interview

Picking out the right bar interview clothes is not always an easy task. The bar interview attire you choose can’t be overly formal nor can it be too casual for the establishment where you’ll be interviewing.

The bar interview clothes you choose should be a reflection of you and your abilities. What does that mean exactly? Well, if you wear a pair of jeans and a dirty T-shirt to your bar interview, it tells a little something about you. If you can’t even take the time to clean your own shirt for an interview, how can the owner / manager expect that you’ll be able to keep their bar clean?

A tip to figuring out what to wear to a bar interview is to go to the bar where you’ll be interviewing and take notes on what the current staff are wearing. Pay attention to the pants they are wearing – jeans vs khakis vs dress pants, as well as their choice of tops – T-shirts vs golf shirts vs dress shirts, and whether they are wearing regular ties or bow ties. Make notes about the kind of shoes the staff are wearing – do they have running shoes, deck shoes or formal dress shoes?

Once you’ve determined the current staffs’ level of dress, you’ll want to one-up that. Generally speaking, for most bar interviews, you’ll want to dress smart casual. If you’re looking to get hired in a 5-star resort, then you’ll likely have to go the extra mile and wear black dress pants with a white tuxedo shirt and a bow tie (for the men) and a blouse (for the ladies).

No matter what type of bar you’re interviewing at, you can’t go wrong with black dress pants – for men as well as ladies. Make sure your pants look good. That they fit well, aren’t bunching up around your ankles or aren’t so short that the interviewer wonders where you parked your canoe.

Bar Interview Attire for the Ladies

So we’ve determined that black dress pants are the way to go – make sure they don’t hang too low on your hips. Now for your top. Wear something that fits to your form – something subtly sexy but not overboard. Think about what you’d be able to wear to school and don’t show anymore skin than that. Anything white or off-white always pairs well with black pants. Otherwise choose a color that stands out a bit but compliments the rest of your outfit. Don’t go crazy with jewellery – it’s just an accident waiting to happen in a busy bar. And the same goes for perfume – you can use a very small amount but be very careful that it’s not overbearing.

Choose flat shoes – bartenders don’t wear high heels behind the bar and you shouldn’t to a bar interview either. You’re trying to look like you’d be all set if the interviewer wanted you to start on the spot.

Bar Interview Attire for the Men

Again, we’ve mentioned black dress pants as the ideal option. For your top, try to pick something with a collar – a nice dress shirt like the type you’d wear if you were going out clubbing. Make sure the shirt fits well and doesn’t look like a hand-me-down you got from your older brother or father. If you have to, go buy a shirt – you’ll need it when you start working anyway. You can wear a tie if you think the place is upscale enough but it’s usually not needed. Pick a nice color collared shirt that looks good on you. Your shoes should be dressy and preferably have rubber soles – although for the interview, it won’t matter but behind the bar it will.

Bar Interview Attire Tips

Tattoos should be covered where possible Men should take out all piercings Women should take out any visible piercings expect for one pair of earrings (wait till you get the job to see if your nose ring is okay). You don’t have to tuck in your shirt or blouse if it looks good hanging out. Men and Women – easy or no perfume or cologne

Now that you know the proper bar interview clothes to wear, just make sure you show up at least 10 minutes early for your interview and you’re ready to shine.

MMA Training – The Impact of the Hip and Glutes in MMA

Hip

Just like a boa constrictor, the warrior must be able to latch down on his opponent and squeeze the life out of him. Although it may not be apparent, the muscles of the hips are essential in this ability. The muscles surrounding the hips are some of the biggest and strongest in a warrior’s arsenal. These muscles are used to squeeze the legs together, spread them apart, and drive the knee forward at the hip joint. In an MMA match a warrior must use these muscles to help generate force during kicks, knees, and punches and to stabilize the hip when shooting in or defending takedowns. On the ground, however, is when these muscles are used often during a fight, and their use is commonly misunderstood by people watching the event.

Many warriors may not understand why the guard is often a safe and powerful position. Not only is it difficult for a fighter to pass an experienced grappler’s guard, but the athlete on top is in danger of submission if he is not careful.

The guard position is centered around the hips. If the hips are free, the guard can be maintained, which leaves the warrior at a safe distance and the opponent vulnerable to submission attack. When the hips are overcome or controlled, the warrior in the guard position has now become vulnerable. In addition to its improving grappling technique, developing powerful hip abductors, hip flexors, and hip adductors is critical for keeping an opponent from passing the guard. By no means am I saying get strong hips and you will have a great guard, but I am saying that stronger hips in addition to a great technical guard will make your game better.

Glutes and Quads

The days of the weak, thin-legged fighter are over. As Bruce Lee once said, “Take power from the ground through your legs, hips, and back.” Everything starts from the ground. To properly execute a powerful punch, kick, or takedown, the legs have to be strong. The same goes for powerful sprawls (driving the legs back to prevent a takedown), reversals, and mounts. Without proper leg strength, these are all going to be ineffective in the ring. Today’s warrior knows leg training has to take precedence in a warrior’s strength work. The gluteal muscles at the back of the hips and the quadriceps in the front of the thigh are some of the largest and most powerful muscles of the warrior’s body. Interestingly, these muscles are often atrophied and weak in today’s warrior. This is because warriors “mold” their bodies into shapes according to what muscles they use most. When a warrior spends most of his or her training on the ground, that warrior is going to have a classic look: strong forearms, back, and neck but skinny legs with no gluteal and quad muscles to be found. If one looks back at the physiques of many of the fighters of the past, this area is commonly undersized.

Not only must the warrior understand that the hips are an incredibly important area, but he or she must also know that to control an opponent’s hips, either on the feet or on the ground during a fight, is to control that opponent. If you are not able to control your opponent’s hips during a fight, all of the strength in the world cannot stop your opponent from sprawling away or escaping on the ground and getting back to his feet. Strong hips and the ability to resist a takedown by sprawling and get back to, or stay on, the feet are reasons why many striking fighters, such as Chuck Liddell and Mirko Crocop, are enjoying success today with little use of the ground game during their fights.

The huge glute and quad muscles allow you to explosively sprawl, escape, and are also critical for executing powerful kicks, punches, and lightning-fast takedowns. These muscles are very important links in the powerful chain that connects the muscles all the way from the neck, back, and core down to the feet of a warrior. The thin-legged body type of the past will not work for the warrior of the future.

Penis Health Benefits Greatly From Vitamin A Creme

Vitamin A is one of the most important nutrients playing an essential role in proper immune function; building healthy bones and teeth: protecting the body from harmful environmental agents; promoting good vision and preventing eye disease: and keeping the skin looking young and vibrant. In addition to its overall role in promoting good health, vitamin A also provides a number of important penis health benefits that most men are not aware of. Read on to find out more about how vitamin A influences penis health.

What is vitamin A?

Also known as retinol, vitamin A is one of the fat-soluble vitamins. Although vitamin A can only be consumed in animal products, the body can also convert carotenoids, substances found in many fruits and vegetables, into this essential nutrient. Vitamin A is crucial to overall health, and insufficient levels in the body can have life-threatening results.

What are overall health benefits of vitamin A?

Vitamin A has wide-ranging health benefits that affect nearly all of the systems of the body. Some of the important effects of vitamin A are as follows:

• Eyes: Vitamin A is needed to maintain a healthy retina and help to improve night vision by allowing the eyes to distinguish light from dark. Researchers also believe that vitamin A helps to protect against cataracts and macular degeneration, which can lead to complete vision loss in advanced stages.

• Bones and teeth: Retinol is important in the formation of dentin, the substance that keeps the teeth hard and strong; in addition, it is necessary for the repair of damaged or worn bone tissue.

• Immune system: Vitamin A helps to protect the mucus membranes of the eyes and nose; helping the body to fight off disease-causing viruses and bacteria. In addition, it is necessary in the manufacture of lymphocytes, components of the white blood cells which are necessary to healthy immune function.

• Urinary system: Vitamin A is needed to help prevent the formation of painful kidney stones.

• Skin: Retinol helps to retain moisture in the skin, protecting against wrinkling and drying as well as preventing cellular damage from free radicals, harmful chemicals in the environment that can cause premature aging and even cancer. Retinol is an ingredient in many skin care products, especially those designed to prevent and repair wrinkles and other age-related issues.

• Reproductive health: Vitamin A has been shown to have an important effect on reproductive health in both men and women.

What are the most important penis health benefits of vitamin A?

Vitamin A plays an important role in penis health, protecting the skin’s surface from drying and cracking which can allow uncomfortable bacterial infections to develop. In addition, retinol can help to prevent wrinkling and other signs of aging, as well as promoting sensitivity of the skin for greater sexual enjoyment.

What is the best way to use vitamin A to protect penis health?

Although numerous food sources provide the vitamin A needed by the body for overall health, retinol from these foods does not always benefit the penis, as it is first absorbed by other organs. Applying a specialized topical formula which contains vitamin A, as well as other penis-specific vitamins, minerals and enzymes such as vitamin D, vitamin E, acetyl L carnitine, and more, can help to improve the skin tone and elasticity of the penis and prevent a range of other common penis health disorders.

The benefits provided by these nutrients can be most easily obtained through use of a penis health crème (most health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil), which is topically applied in order to ensure that this delicate organ receives the maximum effects of these penis-specific ingredients.

The Difference Between Eye Strain and Eye Fatigue

Eye strain and eye fatigue result to many complications from serious to less serious, if any of them remains to be a continuous problem.

When we check online articles about the two topics, we will often find them associated with each other as a single unit of idea. Eye strain would be commonly defined as fatigue of the eyes due to excessive use of visual catalysts like the computers.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines it as pain and fatigue of the eyes, often accompanied by headache, resulting from prolonged use of the eyes, uncorrected defects of vision, or an imbalance of the eye muscles. We can derive here that eye strain is fatigue itself.

Some sources indicate that eye fatigue is “asthenopia” itself. It is a condition normally experienced by people whose work requires extended visual concentration (MD Guidelines).

Medical sources say that Axtaxanthin is a highly effective cure for asthenopia or fatigue. Axtaxanthin is an antioxidant or a carotenoid (dark colored dyes found in plant foods) in the class of plant compounds that actually “work by improving blood flow to the muscles that control accommodation in the eye, as well as to the small blood vessels in the retina.” (Deborah Mitchell, Phoenix Alternative Medicine Examiner)

Some studies say that fatigue is characterized by the muscles becoming tired in a similar context as other muscles in our body. Once these muscles tire, the symptoms start to occur. While eye strain is basically characterized by dry or watery eyes, blurred vision, and headache; eye fatigue is characterized by almost the same symptoms as eye strain but added with burning or tired sensation in the front of the eyes, headaches, and an overall feeling of tiredness. Eye fatigue can lead to more serious eye complications such as Glaucoma, or loss of sight. Eye fatigue serves as an early warning sign of glaucoma unless otherwise treated.

With this information at hand, we will be able to derive what some reports say, that eye strain is not a serious eye problem but eye fatigue is. Both can be corrected and prevented. But irresponsible handling and personal negligence of both can lead to step-by-step complications like myopia, cataracts, glaucoma, etc.

Some sources also differentiate the two as separate entities. They are recognized as two different ailments acquired by heavy computer use. Many studies reveal that fatigue symptoms are easy to spot but serve as warning signs for glaucoma or blindness, as mentioned previously. Strains, however, is the less complicated and less dangerous compared to fatigue. They can be compared and contrasted with a thin line to tell the difference between them, but for sure, they both need enough attention and proper handling to avoid damaging ones eyes. It is very important that we value and take extra care of them. It lights up our whole body, making us effective and successful workers and persons.

For more information about eye strains you may find this site very resourceful http://www.eyestrainfromcomputers.com as it has information related to eye strains which is believed to be partially related to eye fatigue.
