Take the sales man that is dressed sharp, in a suit and tie, hair neat, clean shaven, faint smell of fresh aftershave, a little neat briefcase with all paper work in order.. I’m guessing you would be more inclined to buy off the second salesman then the first.. WHY? Because of his appearance.

As a professional, you need to take responsibility for yourself and your work. Here are the basics to create a professional manner.

– Be courteous and have good manners

– Be punctual, get into the habit of being on time

– Keep confidential details confidential

– Do what needs to be done, do not leave it for others to do

– Listen to others

– Apologise for any errors or misunderstandings

-Speak clearly and in language others can easily understand

– Be honest – avoid even the smallest of lies at all costs

– Do what you say. If you commit to something, then follow through with it

– When communicating, ensure you have made yourself clear to avoid any misunderstandings.

– Be reliable and dependable

– Demonstrate self-control and avoid public arguments and disagreements

Essentially, being professional is about seeing beyond your immediate needs. By thinking about the long term perceptions of you and your business, rather than a quick euro or score, you are much more likely to behave professionally.

5 Steps to Curing Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer has to be a man’s worse nightmare given that not only is it life threatening, disrupts basic components of a healthy life style like sleep, but can take away one of our most basic desires…life.

So let’s get right into it. In this article I’m going to focus on five steps to eliminating prostate cancer. These steps are based on the work of numerous researchers, one of which won the Nobel prize in Cancer research backing the 30s; Dr. Otto Warburg.

To give a little background, Cancer cells occur when free radicals attack healthy molecules/cells causing those molecules to become unstable and the associated cells to begin to behave abnormally often leading to mutation.

The first step is the use of oxygen to destroy cancer. Dr. Otto Warburg received the Nobel Prize in 1931 for the discovery that unlike all other cells in the human body, cancer cells do not breathe oxygen. Cancer cells are anaerobic, which means that they derive their energy without needing oxygen. His research further revealed that cancer cells cannot survive in a high oxygen environment. Short of spending time in a hyperbaric chamber, which I do by the way, some benefit can be obtained from breathing pure oxygen while working out. This is known as EWOT or exercising while breathing oxygen therapy.

Secondly, another step to killing cancer cells is to raise your PH level. PH is the measure of balance between alkalinity and acidity with a neutral ranking being 7 on a scale of 1 to 14. Research has shown that cancer cells die once a PH of 8.4 is reached. Drinking ph water and eating raw fruits and vegetables can increase PH.

The third method for eliminating cancer from the body focuses on attacking one of its usual nesting places, toxins. Toxins have a broad range in category from PCPs to heavy metals to chlorine and fluoride. Since we are constantly being bombarded with these elements from all sides such as air, food, water and even soil, the best route to take is to periodically utilize an infrared sauna. Infrared saunas have the ability to penetrate as deeply as 3 inches into the body and induce a sweat that will excrete toxins. It must be noted that perspiration as a result of exercise will not assist the body in purging toxins. Static sauna activity must be used. It is also important to note that cancer cells die at temperatures between 104 and 105 degrees.

Fourth on the list would require a dietary shift from cooked foods to primarily raw ones. The reason for this is twofold. Dead or cooked food will tend to have a lower ph factor and as the cooking process in certain meats causes in increase in carcinogenic substances. If you’ve already been diagnosed with cancer it would serve you well to immediately leave behind cooked foods and meat in particular.

Finally, exercise and in particular the use of a rebounder will help your overall recovery. The lymph system is critical in removing wastes and toxins from your cells. T-cells and Macrophages also need to be in optimum condition. A rebounder assists with both of these objectives. The movement is critical to the function of the lymph system and it also strengthens fighter cells by several times.

To conclude, if you have any type of cancer I encourage you to find out as much as possible about the root cause of these cell mutations as possible before electing to take chemotherapy or radiation. And as always, find a good holistic MD.

Memory Pegging As a Study Aid

Often when students are studying, they have to memorize lists or cause and effect relationships. That can be easy to do if the list is small, but when the list has more than three or four items, it becomes more challenging. One way to make this kind of studying easier is to use pegging techniques. Pegging is an associative skill where something new is associated with something familiar, and word “pictures” are created in the mind to learn the new material.

Pegging can be done with numbers, and this is most often how it’s used. But another way to create these word pictures is with body parts. For instance, lists or sequences with five or ten items can be pegged to fingers or toes, or both. Lists of eight items can be pegged to body joints (ankles, knees, hips, shoulders). Lists of six items can be pegged to facial features (eyes, nose, mouth, ears). Students are only limited by their imagination on using body parts for pegging tricks.

Let’s illustrate how this might work. Let’s say that your student needed to remember the last six presidents in order. Working backwards, they are: Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George Bush, Ronald Reagan, and Jimmy Carter. Your student could begin by drawing a face on a piece of paper, and instead of putting details around the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears, they could lightly place these features, but then write the president’s name over the facial feature. This creates an image that they will remember. Visual images are much easier to remember than plain words. Then, they should practice on their own face, while looking at the picture they have drawn. As they point to their eyes they would say, “Barack Obama, George W. Bush.” When they get to their nose, “Bill Clinton.” The mouth is, “George Bush,” and the ears are “Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter.”

With a few repetitions of the movements across their faces while looking at the picture they’ve drawn, they will have the list memorized in no time. Then, no matter where they are, they will have their hands and faces with them to practice and review the list. They can review the list while they’re in line at the store, while riding in a car, etc. No notes or papers are needed to keep this list active in their minds. And, if there are added items related to the presidents that they need to know, they can stop at each facial feature to review those things too.

Pegging is easy to do, and takes very little time to utilize. Because you can peg to tactile objects such as body parts, you can engage the sense of touch too, and any time that the senses are used in studying, retention is much greater. Teach your student how to use this technique, and see if it doesn’t improve their study skills!

How to Light Up Stained Glass

Stained glass is so beautiful when displayed in a window where the sunlight shines through the glass. The effect of the sunlight reflecting light through the various glass textures and colors adds a dramatic elegance to the room.

To install art glass into a window opening you have two options. Purchase or make a glass piece that is the exact size of the window opening. Place the art glass piece over the existing window and secure with molding or brackets. Be sure to thoroughly clean the window prior to installation. To display smaller art glass pieces, hang it above the window using decorative chain or fishing line.

If you do not have a window where you would like to display your art glass piece, you can create a faux window. With a press of a button, your art glass will light up.

To turn your art glass into a faux window, you will need to make a shadow box. To make a shadow box you will need wood for the outer frame, sides and back of shadow box. You will also need rope lights or strip lights that will fit into the interior measurements of your shadow box.

First measure the length and width of the stained glass piece. Take these measurements from the outer perimeters of the glass. If you wish to have a mitered frame, add the width of the framing stock to your measurements.

Example: Measurements of perimeter of stained glass piece is 21″ x 24″.

Width of wood for frame is 2″.

Using a miter saw or miter box, cut 45 degree angles on each end.

You will need 2 pieces that are 25″ and 2 pieces that are 28″ from tip to tip.

Use wood glue and trim head screws to assemble your frame. Now you are ready to make the box part of the shadow box.

Cut 2 pieces of 1-1/2″ wide wood that are equal to the outer length of the art glass piece plus 1/4″ and two pieces that are equal to the outer width of the art glass piece plus 1/4″ and 2 times the thickness of the wood.

Using wood glue and brad nails assemble box sides and attach to frame. This leaves the back of the faux window open so that you can insert your glass. Place stained glass into shadow box and attach with glass brackets and/or silicone. Then add strip lights or rope lights around the interior of the box just behind the stained glass insert.

To make the back of the shadow box, cut a piece of plywood or masonite to fit over the assembled box sides and frame. Be sure to make a hole for the electrical cord. Using wood glue and brad nails, attach back to box sides.

An alternative to making a stained glass lighted shadow box would be to hang art glass in front of wall flooded from above by flood bulbs which are mounted behind a soffit. This method requires the glass artwork to be hung away from the wall about 4 – 5″. You can accomplish this by hanging art glass from the soffit which will allow the lighting to be behind the art glass just like sun shine coming through a window.

Other Chocolate Products. The healthiest chocolate is dark healthy chocolate, organic certified and containing a high percentage of raw cacao. There are claims of healthy chocolate bars, healthy chocolate chip cookies, and other healthy chocolate treats. I prefer a pure dark organic chocolate product with demonstrated health benefits.

The Importance Of Keeping Warm In Pregnancy

Cold in itself will cause your body’s nervous system to be more sensitive than ever before, and when you combine this with the tensing in the muscles which can occur when your body gets cold, making sure you stay warm and covered during pregnancy is essential.

As more blood works round your body during pregnancy more than ever before, you will find that your body temperature will become more varied than ever before. Types of Impotence

Impotence is not just caused by old age or a disease. Impotence is not just a physical thing but a mental thing as well. The brain is more powerful than you know and it can cause various conditions in the body including impotence.

Functional and psychosomatic impotence

There are two types of impotence. The first one is called functional. Overeating Does NOT Cause Obesity

There are lots of chemical processes that take place in the human body, and while there's some leeway for things to change, the systems – as a whole – are designed to function with an optimum. So, if overeating does not cause obesity, what does? The answer is once again to be found in the study of homeostasis, but from a different angle: a hormonal one.
