To become a problem solver, you need to be aware of what problems your prospect is likely experiencing. So put yourself in their shoes. Identify at least one compelling problem that your product or service can solve for them.

When you become a problem solver, the whole process gets directed towards the other person. It's not about you, it's about them. You've stepped away from the traditional place of persuasion and pressure, and that's really good. Trust me, you'll find that cold calling can actually become an enjoyable experience when you approach people this way.

3. Begin with a Conversation

This may shock you, but beginning a cold call with a sales pitch or sales script really has not got a lot to do with conversation. You see, it's not a dialogue. It's a monologue. And it does not feel very good to the person on the other end of the telephone. It feels a little pushy and probably a bit boring.

So how do you begin with a conversation? By focusing on the other person, their world, and their issues. You talk with a natural voice, and you're not overly enthusiastic. You're really just being yourself.

4. Remove the Pressure

It is recommended to do this once in the morning and once at night. As I said, the results were something positive for me. I also know that many people with aloe vera plants that they use for treating a cold sore.

3. Using tea tree oil – This remedy involves taking a cup of boiling water and adding tea tree oil, violet and herbal sage to it. As it mixes together you drink this a couple of times per day and within two days it will eliminate your sore.

I can not tell you if this method works or not since I've never tried it, but I've heard that it does for some people.

4. Vitamins – Taking extra vitamin B is said to work in treating a cold sore. Vitamin B-12 is the better supplement.

5. Other remedies – Some other methods include using a mixture of 100 ml of coconut oil, mixed with 2 ml of dettol and 3 ml of carbolic acid. After combining these together you put it directly on the sore.

There are also people who use witch hazel and lemon balm as well.

Myth: bipolar disorder is not manic depression

Fact: Bipolar disorder is just another term for manic depression. Typically people with depression are referred to as unipolar (as in they only go to one extreme, or 'pole') and people with bipolar disorder (manic depression) have two extremes or 'poles'. Bipolar disorder is further characterized by grades, dependent on the severity of your mood swings and whether there are some other characteristics along them.

Myth: You can diagnose bipolar disorder with a blood test

Fact: Not that I know of. Bipolar disorder does not have marks, and though there is some evidence of genetics being able to keep track of what is going on, the human genome mapping project is a long way from finished so, though its technically possible to point to the marks on a dna profile, mass testing is a long way off.

Myth: Bipolar disorder is easy to diagnose

Fact: Bipolar disorder, like most other mental health issues, is easy to diagnose given time, and a specialist's attention. Its not always easy, but the best place to go, if you suspect you are bipolar, or have any other mental health concerns is to go speak to a doctor. They can, at least, give you the first path to help.

Also studies show calories from these drinks do not fill you up the same way as food does. So you end up consuming more calories through the day. And again sending your blood sugar levels high.

3. Consuming excess alcohol may result in gain gain and obesity. Those who drink moderately are not considered to be at risk. A standard can of beer contains:

  • 12.5oz / 375ml is equal to 110 calories (460kj)
  • 12.5oz / 375ml is equal to 75calories (315kj)

If you want to prevent childhood obesity one of the most important things you should know is what your child plate should look like. This seems like something that you should just know already, but you’d be surprised how many preschoolers’ plates I see lacking variety and color. In addition to not having enough variety and color, their plate also lacks balance.

It is very simple and there are only a few things that you have to remember. The first is that children have tiny tummies so do not give them adult portion sizes. Starting out with half of an adult portion or even 1/3 is a safe bet. You want to do this for several reasons. The first is you don’t want your child to feel obligated to finish their plates when there’s too much food on it, this is overwhelming to child. Secondly, you want to teach your child to learn when they are full and have had enough. This is a skill that will keep them from creating the habit of overeating. Learning this skill also helps a child to learn self regulation, where they determine how much they eat and when.

You want your child to learn self regulation when they are eating. In addition to preventing over eating and childhood obesity, self regulation builds a childs confidence in themselves and helps them to trust themselves in knowing what is best for them. You want your child to develop this early because this is the basis of self esteem and self confidence.

Your child’s plate should look like a rainbow with a variety of colors on it. Half of the plate should consist of fruits and vegetables the other half should consist of grains and a protein. You can serve the fruits and vegetables in a variety of ways. You can juice them, serve them in a soup or salad, steam them or serve them raw. Adding vegetables to casseroles is also a great way to get vegetables in.

Most people are pretty much familiar with what fruits and vegetables are as well as proteins but are sometimes not aware of what grains are. I say aware because once I start naming examples of grains people always say “oh that’s a grain”. Grains are any food that is made from wheat, rice. oats, cornmeal, barley, or a cereal grain. Some examples of grains are pasta, tortilla, oatmeal, rye, sandwich rolls and quinoa.

There are two types of grains, whole grains and refined grains. The whole grains are like the name implies it has the entire grain which consists of three parts, the bran, germ and endosperm. Whole grains contains vitiamins, nutrients and fiber, which is really important for digestive and colon health. Refined grains have been milled and the bran and germ are taken out. This procedure removes the fiber, iron and many B vitamins. So as much as possible you want to feed your child whole grains.

To drink, if your child is over the age of 2 it is recommended that they have non-fat or skim milk. Under the age of 2 regualr milk is fine. If you give them juice make sure it is 100 percent fruit juice and no more than 4-6 ounces. This requirement of 4-6 ounces is the total that is recommended for the entire day. You want to encourage your child to drink water as much as possible. In fact water should be readily available for children. Avoid sugary drinks like soda, gator ade, kool aid and juice drinks.

Print this out so you’ll have this nearby when you are planning your meals and go grocery shopping. But as you can see there’s not much to remember just make sure your child eats a variety of colors. That their plate is made up of half fruits and vegetables and half proteins and grains and that they have something from the dairy group. Making sure you control portion size and allow them to self regulate themselves is also on the list.

How to Stop Worrying in Ten Minutes!

1st Minute: Define what exactly it is that is worrying you. Write it down.

Worry is simmering fear. In the old days, we would just run like hell when we were scared, but nowdays, we bubble away in our little pots of worry. So, the first thing to do is face what it is that worries us, and then define it by writing it down. Set a kitchen timer to make sure that you spend at least one minute on each of these steps. Concentrate intentionally on each minute and do it as completely and surely as you can.

2nd Minute: How can you realistically wriggle out of the problem? Write it down.

For example, if you are worried about having enough money for retirement, then a "solution" such as working forever would be a way to wriggle out, but this is not practical – unless you are a robot! And saving and investing for retirement is not wriggling out; that is taking steps to solve the worrisome problem.

So, is there any clever way that you can wriggle out; maybe moving to Uzbekistan where the cost of living is less, moving in with the kids, etc.? Write it down.

3rd Minute: If you can not avoid the problem, what can you do about it?

Now write down reasonable solutions that will more than likely solve your problem. Of course, if you worry about things like death and taxes, there are no reasonable solutions, so go directly to Minute 5!

4th Minute: Write down the date when you plan to start your solutions.

Really promise yourself to take action on this problem regardless of how serious or scary it may be. The unknown is always more intimidating than any disclosure can be – the truth is the beginning of love, and when there is love, fear is not.

5th Minute: What is the worst thing that could happen? Write it down.

If your worries come true, how bad could it get? Face this down. If you are worried, for example, that you might have the Ebola Virus, picture all that will happen to you – and write it down!

6th Minute: Just in case the worst does happen, what is left?

If you lose your wealth, will you have your health? If you lose your wealth and your health, will you have your friends? If you lose your health and your wealth and your friends, will you have your faith? And if you lose your faith, what new frontiers will you be forced to discover, as you enter through that immunity door of emptiness? Only our ignorance of this universe, its abundance and its mysteries, leads us to despair. It is impossible to lose it all. That can not happen – ever. Write down what it is you will be left with.

7th Minute: Concentrate on your breathing.

All that can be done has been done, so now put it all out of your head and just watch your body breathe. The body does this naturally without your help at all; you do not even have to worry about it! If thoughts interfere as you watch your body breathe, notice the thoughts as soon as possible and then dismiss them, returning your attention to the breath. This "just watching your body breathe" is much easier than the above steps, because in this very moment, everything is as it should be; everything is fine.

8th Minute: Count your out breaths.

In breath, out breath – count "1" In breath, out breath – count "2" etc. You should be able to count up to somewhere between 2 and 14 in a minute, depending on how deeply you are breathing. Short, shallow breaths are a dead give-away of stress!

9th Minute: Watch your thoughts.

Now stop watching your breath, or counting, and instead notice your thoughts. To make this easier, picture yourself on a freeway overpass, and picture your thoughts as the cars and trucks passing below. Do not jump into a car or truck (a thought) and go for a ride, just watch them pass below and out of sight without becoming involved.

10th Minute: "Courage."

Now go back to watching your breath, and on each in breath and each out breath, repeat silently to yourself the word "courage." In breath – "Courage," out breath – "Courage" etc. Do not force the breath; allow the body to breath naturally.

And as far as concerning is concerned, allow things to take their course. Take proactive actions to solve your problems, of course, but know that sometimes things come along that we think are tragedies, but in the end are blessings in disguise.
