4 Cold Calling Tips You Need to Know

When a person says the word "cold calling," what's the first thing that comes to mind? Do your hands start to shake? Do you start to sweat? Does the fear of speaking to a stranger put knots in your stomach?

Well, there's a new and better way to approach cold calling. Let me share these 4 important tips that will help make your cold calls much more relaxed and enjoyable:
1. Notice Your Focus

In the old traditional way of cold calling, your goal is to make the sale. But that's really not the best way to approach a perfect stranger, is it? Think about it – not many people enjoy having their business day interrupted with a sales pitch.

So a new and better way of thinking is, "Can I help solve a problem my prospect is experiencing?"
When your focus is about helping people, this feels good. Your only interest is in finding out wherever your solution is a "fit" for them. And you're okay if the answer is no.

Can you see how this reduces the stress of cold calling? You are not afraid of failing to make the sale, since "getting the sale" is not your goal.

Also, take a look at what happens when you're focused on the other person rather than yourself. Your anxiety level goes down. You're trying to help someone, and that makes it a lot easier for you to talk with them.

Oh, and by the way, you also will not experience the immediate rejection you often get when your focus is only on getting the sale.

2. Become a Problem Solver

Most prospects feel good when they can talk about themselves, share their problems, and explore whenever your solution is a fit for them.

So if you become a problem solver, you can build a relationship with the other person in a short amount of time. Remember, most people respond warmly to a conversation about their world.

To become a problem solver, you need to be aware of what problems your prospect is likely experiencing. So put yourself in their shoes. Identify at least one compelling problem that your product or service can solve for them.

When you become a problem solver, the whole process gets directed towards the other person. It's not about you, it's about them. You've stepped away from the traditional place of persuasion and pressure, and that's really good. Trust me, you'll find that cold calling can actually become an enjoyable experience when you approach people this way.

3. Begin with a Conversation

This may shock you, but beginning a cold call with a sales pitch or sales script really has not got a lot to do with conversation. You see, it's not a dialogue. It's a monologue. And it does not feel very good to the person on the other end of the telephone. It feels a little pushy and probably a bit boring.

So how do you begin with a conversation? By focusing on the other person, their world, and their issues. You talk with a natural voice, and you're not overly enthusiastic. You're really just being yourself.

When you practice opening your cold calls with a conversation, you'll find yourself less jittery about "performance." You're simply being yourself. And others will tend to respond much more naturally, too.

4. Remove the Pressure

You know, sales pressure really kills any opportunity for you to relate honestly and openly with the person you're calling. When you're trying to persuade someone to buy from you, the other person can not feel you're on their side. Simply put, they do not trust you. And so the shields go up.

So it's important that you do not bring any sales pressure into the call at all. Really. You can do this and still end up with more sales. Because people tend to react negatively to sales pressure, and positively to understanding and support.

I hope you'll put into practice these 4 tips to cold calling the new way. You'll be less tense, and you'll find that cold calling can be as enjoyable as talking with a good friend.

What Your Body Goes through During Menopause

We need to take a quick look at what Perimenopause and Menopause is and then by doing so we will be better equipped at handling what may come our way. Or if already there, you may have a better understanding of what is going on with your body. You may be forgetful, emotional, tired and experiencing strange heart palpitations. These can all be due to Menopause. Let's look at some more symptoms.

To put it simply during Perimenopause the hormones in a women's body changes. Menopause means the end of your menstrual cycle. For some that may be exciting while for others a start of a nightmare. Periods due because there are such low levels of estrogen and progesterone being produced and indeed they stop all together. With the cease of periods you can also no longer have anymore babies.

The average age for menopause to start is 51 but women can experience menopause either before or after or in an presence when their ovaries need to be removed. Perimenopause is what your body goes through as it sets in for "the change". It marks the end of your baby producing years. For every woman how long it lasts is different. It may be a couple of months or a good few years.

A first sign of perimenopause is when your menstrual cycle starts to change. They may become more frequent, less frequent, you may experience a heavier cycle or a lighter cycle, and you will just generally notice a change.

The most common symptom that you will experience is that of Hot Flushes. These flushes will come suddenly and in waves and may be accompanied with feelings of nausea, dizziness and headaches. The hot flushes do not always last very long and they leave you feeling clammy and uncomfortable. In some women it is just mildly annoying while in others it causes havoc with their day and sleeping at night becoming a constant feat as they are never comfortable enough due to having to deal with night sweats. Night sweats have been known to leave the individual and the bed sheets soaked in perspiration.

Some women experience terrible mood swings and depression. This may be caused due to sleep disruptions that come with having to end night sweats. It may also be due to a change in the hormonal balance in a women's body. Either way if it is something that you do not feel you have control over you must seek medical assistance. The problem is that because mood swings and depression are so rife it is not often attributed to being just one of those things that come with periimenopause.

Depression can be very debilitating so the sooner you are able to get to the root of it and have access to the love and support you need then the better it is for you and those around you that love you very much. It needs to be remembered that a women has a lot of other factors to deal with at this time of perimenopause, her children leaving home and her having to deal with an "empty nest" is just one of them.

You may need to urinate more often and you may feel pain when you do. This is due to the lining of the bladder becoming thinner. Low estrogen levels in your body may also leave you to be more susceptible to urinary tract infections and the muscles that control the bladder may become weaker. Leakages may occur when coughing or sneezing but there are ways to prevent this from happening when you consult your doctor.

Bones become weaker and osteoporosis may set in. The statistic is that more women are likely to develop osteoporosis than men are because their skeletal frame is generally just smaller. As your bones become weaker, and because of the loss of calcium, due to your body absorbing less, they become brittle and are more susceptible to breaking. Estrogen seems to play an important part in the health of ones bones, as estrogen levels decrease so the bone mass decreases. Hip fractures occur more in older women and it is very difficult and sometimes not very probable that they will recover from it.

Due to a decrease in estrogen the walls of the vagina become thinner, losing its elasticity and then becomes painful if lining becomes inflamed, rough and dry. This may also cause sexual interference to be painful and / or uncomfortable. The thinning of the vaginal walls also makes your body more susceptible to vaginal infections.

Weight gain during menopause is also common and the area where the most weight is put on is around the waist. Some have stated that studies have shown that a lack of estrogen in the body leads to weight gain while others state that it is more to do with the change in lifestyle. Yet that does not explain why there is a redistribution of fat from the thighs to the stomach. Maybe weight gain has got to do with a bit of both. A proper diet and lots of exercise will help. Remember though that ones metabolism does get slower as you get older.

Being a women menopause and so perimenopause is just one of those things in life that we all have to deal with at one time or another. It is how we deal with it that makes all the difference.

Tips On Cold Sore Home Remedies

Finding the right cold sore home remedies that actually give you some relief is not an easy task it looks. We know about the expensive prescriptions, but what about some of the less expensive natural ways of treating a cold sore?

Here is a look at some of the more popular home remedies that claim to really work.

1. Using ice – This is arguably the most well known remedy. When you first feel the beginnings of that cold sore forming under your skin, put some ice in a bag or wash rag and apply it directly on the sore.

It is recommended that you do this for 10-15 minutes at a time, 3 times every day. The thought process behind this is that the ice will freeze and kill off the potential sore. They say you must do this before the sore appears in order for it to work. I must say that I have tried this method and never had real positive results. Yes, it killed some of the pain, but the cold sore was still there. But I know other people who swear by this cold sore cure. You'll have to try it and decide yourself.

2. Using aloe vera – As far as cold sore home remedies go, I found this to some help. When you find a sore that does form you can get a few aloe leaves and use the liquid from them to rub on the sore or blister directly.

It is recommended to do this once in the morning and once at night. As I said, the results were something positive for me. I also know that many people with aloe vera plants that they use for treating a cold sore.

3. Using tea tree oil – This remedy involves taking a cup of boiling water and adding tea tree oil, violet and herbal sage to it. As it mixes together you drink this a couple of times per day and within two days it will eliminate your sore.

I can not tell you if this method works or not since I've never tried it, but I've heard that it does for some people.

4. Vitamins – Taking extra vitamin B is said to work in treating a cold sore. Vitamin B-12 is the better supplement.

5. Other remedies – Some other methods include using a mixture of 100 ml of coconut oil, mixed with 2 ml of dettol and 3 ml of carbolic acid. After combining these together you put it directly on the sore.

There are also people who use witch hazel and lemon balm as well.

As you can see, there are many cold sore home remedies available. This article only touched on some of the more well known remedies. The next time you find yourself facing a cold sore, try one of these remedies and see if it helps provide you with some relief.

Bipolar Disorder – Myths And Facts

There are a lot of different untruths, and misinformation online and off, about bipolar disorder. While most of this information is harmless, a couple of them really are problems, so this article contains some of the most common questions, myths and answers to
Myth: bipolar disorder is not manic depression

Fact: Bipolar disorder is just another term for manic depression. Typically people with depression are referred to as unipolar (as in they only go to one extreme, or 'pole') and people with bipolar disorder (manic depression) have two extremes or 'poles'. Bipolar disorder is further characterized by grades, dependent on the severity of your mood swings and whether there are some other characteristics along them.

Myth: You can diagnose bipolar disorder with a blood test

Fact: Not that I know of. Bipolar disorder does not have marks, and though there is some evidence of genetics being able to keep track of what is going on, the human genome mapping project is a long way from finished so, though its technically possible to point to the marks on a dna profile, mass testing is a long way off.

Myth: Bipolar disorder is easy to diagnose

Fact: Bipolar disorder, like most other mental health issues, is easy to diagnose given time, and a specialist's attention. Its not always easy, but the best place to go, if you suspect you are bipolar, or have any other mental health concerns is to go speak to a doctor. They can, at least, give you the first path to help.

Myth: Bipolars are easy to spot / can not hold down a job

Fact: Where it's true that it's easier to tell if we are different when we are at one of our extremes, not every bipolar gets really hyper or really depressed. Some of us are as 'normal' as the rest of the world. And if the bipolar disorder is under control then it's not that hard to hold down a job. Like everything else it's dependent on both our triggers and our control over ourselves.

Myth: Bipolars have an excuse for 'bad' behavior.

Fact: We are just as in control of our reactions as most others, most of the time. Bipolar disorder is not any more of an excuse for rudeness than having a bad day, PMT or sleep problems. Sometimes our control is a bit stretched, especially in times of stress and difficulty, but the fact of the matter remains that we can not excuse our bad behavior any more than anyone else.

Myth: Bipolars are not aware of how they should be

Fact: Like I said above, Bipolars are no different to people that deal with depression or anything else. We DO have an extra component, but that just makes most of us 'faster'. When we are at one of our extremes we can be slightly more difficult to relate to and interact with, but we are inherently 'normal'.

Myth: Moods do not mix and it's very easy to judge where someone will be based on what they've been saying and doing.

Fact: Some people are very stable bipolars. Some people however, medicated or not, are not stable. These people do need help and support until they find their feet.

Myth: You can not get pregnant if you are bi-polar

Fact: I'm the mother of two children, although admittedly they did not realize I was bipolar till after I had my eldest child. It is true however, that some of the medication they use to control bipolar disorder are very dangerous and not suitable for use when pregnant. It's always best to discuss any plans that would affect your medication with your doctor or other professional health care official.

Bipolar disorder has not been fully investigated, and is not understood like depression. It IS caused by a chemical imbalance. What is harder to determine is why it happens and whether it's a genetic inheritance or a fault at the level of DNA that sometimes occurs. Bipolars are usually medicated, because severe mood swings can be incredibly disruptive, and sometimes dangerous

There is a lot of work to go into the effective tracking of this disease, and a lot more understanding needs to start, as most of the misconceptions about bipolar disorder cause many misunderstandings and gaps in knowledge. The battles against this need to start at grass roots level; encouragement and support from the community and the spread of understanding is a must.

Type 2 Diabetics – Lose Weight by Watching What You Drink!

Carbohydrates are an important source of energy in our diet, whether we are diabetic or not. Glucose is a vital source of energy for all our body tissues, including the brain:

  • our body tries to maintain stable blood sugar levels consistently
  • in normal circumstances when blood sugars rise after a meal of carbohydrates, excess sugar is removed with the help of insulin and taken up by our body cells to give energy
  • any excess is extremely converted to fat and stored away

It is not just food that contains carbohydrates … if you want to lower your blood glucose faster and lose weight, watch what you drink.

1. To help keep your blood glucose levels down and control your weight, eat fresh fruit and limit juices. When a fruit is juiced, all the fiber that normally slows down digestion is removed and the calories are concentrated. This then means you can drink much more than you can eat … your sugar and calorie / kilojoule take is then increased.

You probably would not eat three or four oranges in one sitting but you could find yourself drinking their equivalent in sugar on a hot day. Each time you are drinking half a glass of juice you are eating the equivalent of one orange.

What if the fruit juice is natural with no added sugar? It does not really make much difference as the sugar content of fresh juice is already high. They are already very sweet.

2. Cut down on fizzy drinks . These beverages have no nutritional value but each 12.5oz / 375ml can of cola or fizzy drink contains 156 calories (655kj) of sugar which is equal to ten teaspoons. Also studies show calories from these drinks do not fill you up the same way as food does. So you end up consuming more calories through the day. And again sending your blood sugar levels high.

3. Consuming excess alcohol may result in gain gain and obesity. Those who drink moderately are not considered to be at risk. A standard can of beer contains:

  • 12.5oz / 375ml is equal to 110 calories (460kj)
  • 12.5oz / 375ml is equal to 75calories (315kj)

A nip of spirits contains 65calories (272kj)

When you drink your liver considers alcohol a toxin. In order for it to cleanse your blood of the toxin, its ability to release glucose is reduced. At this time hypoglycemia becomes a real risk for those with diabetes.

If you have type 2 diabetes and want to lose weight and lower your blood glucose levels faster, a start is to watch what you drink.

Preventing Childhood Obesity: What Should Your Preschooler’s Plate Look Like

If you want to prevent childhood obesity one of the most important things you should know is what your child plate should look like. This seems like something that you should just know already, but you’d be surprised how many preschoolers’ plates I see lacking variety and color. In addition to not having enough variety and color, their plate also lacks balance.

It is very simple and there are only a few things that you have to remember. The first is that children have tiny tummies so do not give them adult portion sizes. Starting out with half of an adult portion or even 1/3 is a safe bet. You want to do this for several reasons. The first is you don’t want your child to feel obligated to finish their plates when there’s too much food on it, this is overwhelming to child. Secondly, you want to teach your child to learn when they are full and have had enough. This is a skill that will keep them from creating the habit of overeating. Learning this skill also helps a child to learn self regulation, where they determine how much they eat and when.

You want your child to learn self regulation when they are eating. In addition to preventing over eating and childhood obesity, self regulation builds a childs confidence in themselves and helps them to trust themselves in knowing what is best for them. You want your child to develop this early because this is the basis of self esteem and self confidence.

Your child’s plate should look like a rainbow with a variety of colors on it. Half of the plate should consist of fruits and vegetables the other half should consist of grains and a protein. You can serve the fruits and vegetables in a variety of ways. You can juice them, serve them in a soup or salad, steam them or serve them raw. Adding vegetables to casseroles is also a great way to get vegetables in.

Most people are pretty much familiar with what fruits and vegetables are as well as proteins but are sometimes not aware of what grains are. I say aware because once I start naming examples of grains people always say “oh that’s a grain”. Grains are any food that is made from wheat, rice. oats, cornmeal, barley, or a cereal grain. Some examples of grains are pasta, tortilla, oatmeal, rye, sandwich rolls and quinoa.

There are two types of grains, whole grains and refined grains. The whole grains are like the name implies it has the entire grain which consists of three parts, the bran, germ and endosperm. Whole grains contains vitiamins, nutrients and fiber, which is really important for digestive and colon health. Refined grains have been milled and the bran and germ are taken out. This procedure removes the fiber, iron and many B vitamins. So as much as possible you want to feed your child whole grains.

To drink, if your child is over the age of 2 it is recommended that they have non-fat or skim milk. Under the age of 2 regualr milk is fine. If you give them juice make sure it is 100 percent fruit juice and no more than 4-6 ounces. This requirement of 4-6 ounces is the total that is recommended for the entire day. You want to encourage your child to drink water as much as possible. In fact water should be readily available for children. Avoid sugary drinks like soda, gator ade, kool aid and juice drinks.

Print this out so you’ll have this nearby when you are planning your meals and go grocery shopping. But as you can see there’s not much to remember just make sure your child eats a variety of colors. That their plate is made up of half fruits and vegetables and half proteins and grains and that they have something from the dairy group. Making sure you control portion size and allow them to self regulate themselves is also on the list.

How to Stop Worrying in Ten Minutes!

1st Minute: Define what exactly it is that is worrying you. Write it down.

Worry is simmering fear. In the old days, we would just run like hell when we were scared, but nowdays, we bubble away in our little pots of worry. So, the first thing to do is face what it is that worries us, and then define it by writing it down. Set a kitchen timer to make sure that you spend at least one minute on each of these steps. Concentrate intentionally on each minute and do it as completely and surely as you can.

2nd Minute: How can you realistically wriggle out of the problem? Write it down.

For example, if you are worried about having enough money for retirement, then a "solution" such as working forever would be a way to wriggle out, but this is not practical – unless you are a robot! And saving and investing for retirement is not wriggling out; that is taking steps to solve the worrisome problem.

So, is there any clever way that you can wriggle out; maybe moving to Uzbekistan where the cost of living is less, moving in with the kids, etc.? Write it down.

3rd Minute: If you can not avoid the problem, what can you do about it?

Now write down reasonable solutions that will more than likely solve your problem. Of course, if you worry about things like death and taxes, there are no reasonable solutions, so go directly to Minute 5!

4th Minute: Write down the date when you plan to start your solutions.

Really promise yourself to take action on this problem regardless of how serious or scary it may be. The unknown is always more intimidating than any disclosure can be – the truth is the beginning of love, and when there is love, fear is not.

5th Minute: What is the worst thing that could happen? Write it down.

If your worries come true, how bad could it get? Face this down. If you are worried, for example, that you might have the Ebola Virus, picture all that will happen to you – and write it down!

6th Minute: Just in case the worst does happen, what is left?

If you lose your wealth, will you have your health? If you lose your wealth and your health, will you have your friends? If you lose your health and your wealth and your friends, will you have your faith? And if you lose your faith, what new frontiers will you be forced to discover, as you enter through that immunity door of emptiness? Only our ignorance of this universe, its abundance and its mysteries, leads us to despair. It is impossible to lose it all. That can not happen – ever. Write down what it is you will be left with.

7th Minute: Concentrate on your breathing.

All that can be done has been done, so now put it all out of your head and just watch your body breathe. The body does this naturally without your help at all; you do not even have to worry about it! If thoughts interfere as you watch your body breathe, notice the thoughts as soon as possible and then dismiss them, returning your attention to the breath. This "just watching your body breathe" is much easier than the above steps, because in this very moment, everything is as it should be; everything is fine.

8th Minute: Count your out breaths.

In breath, out breath – count "1" In breath, out breath – count "2" etc. You should be able to count up to somewhere between 2 and 14 in a minute, depending on how deeply you are breathing. Short, shallow breaths are a dead give-away of stress!

9th Minute: Watch your thoughts.

Now stop watching your breath, or counting, and instead notice your thoughts. To make this easier, picture yourself on a freeway overpass, and picture your thoughts as the cars and trucks passing below. Do not jump into a car or truck (a thought) and go for a ride, just watch them pass below and out of sight without becoming involved.

10th Minute: "Courage."

Now go back to watching your breath, and on each in breath and each out breath, repeat silently to yourself the word "courage." In breath – "Courage," out breath – "Courage" etc. Do not force the breath; allow the body to breath naturally.

And as far as concerning is concerned, allow things to take their course. Take proactive actions to solve your problems, of course, but know that sometimes things come along that we think are tragedies, but in the end are blessings in disguise.

Bed Bugs Rashes – A Worrying Factor

We know that bugs are small parasitic insects that feed unnoticed on human blood and the cracks and crevices of the bed frame and mattress are their favorite habitat. Due to their nocturnal activities we become the inactive prey to them and can not simply do anything in our sleep to brush them aside. They bite us, suck our blood and leave us with rashes. Bed bug rashes look like red bumps on the skin.

We have a number of health hazards from bed bugs and skin rashes top it all in the list of diseases like psychological effects and allergic symptoms. A bedbug pierces the skin of its host with two hollow feeding tubes. With one tube it injects its saliva, while with the other it withdraws the blood of its host. The effect is not realized instantly as first we feel irritation and itching.

Gradually the bitten place stars swelling and lastly it turns red. We naturally tend to scratch and it makes it worse since the place becomes more swollen and redder. Worst, if unattended, it may lead to skin infection. At normal condition it takes time to cure and if the area becomes infected, it will not heal without proper medication.

The healing period varies from two to five days. Interestingly, the bed bug rashes are not realized instantly and can be felt after an hour only because bug's saliva has got some aesthetic quality. The effect of bite varies as some people are more susceptible to harmful chemicals. The numbers of bumps multiply in a day or two indicating that more than one bug has bitten the sleeper.

To prevent infection the bitten area must be washed with cold water. As precautionary measures antiseptic cream and lotion can be applied to the affected place. Calamine lotion will give relief from burning sensation. Lukewarm water, antibacterial soap are believed to have disinfectant qualities. A mixture of salt and baking soda or oatmeal soaked in lukewarm water can stop inflammation. Cotton ball can be dabbed on the affected area to get cooling effect.

Effective Home Remedies For Mouth Sores

Mouth sores are an annoying and painful condition that can ruin your meals and entire day. Although some people would regard the cause as resulting from high body temperature exhausted through the membranes in your mouth, this basically stem from a small opening or cut that may become infected or irritated over time.

The outbreak or increase in size and pain can come from certain foods that aggravate the existing condition. It is helpful to know some details about the treatment for mouth sores that can eradicate the problem quickly using only the regular fare you have at home.

Here are some helpful home remedies for mouth sores.

1. Pain. There are two types of mouth sores, canker or cold, can be present inside your mouth. Canker sores are much more painful and are usually the ones that plague you. As soon as you notice it, put an ice cube or Q-tip directly on the sore to numb the pain and drain out pus, if there are any present. This numbing of the pain will definitely hurt but, at least, it takes away the sensation for the better part of your day. Avoid eating very warm or sweet foods, as these can easily aggravate the pain.

2. Infection. Bacteria most likely may be dwelling in the sore, which irritates the nerve endings and causes you a lot of pain and discomfort. You may use gargling solutions and antibacterial agents, then apply or gargle accordingly. Also swish a lot of water inside your mouth then spit out to keep the area moist and clean.

3. Baking soda. Baking soda is also known for its antibacterial and soothing effect. Mix one-half teaspoon of baking soda and water to make a paste and directly apply on the mouth sore. Keep it on the sore for a good two minutes, then rinse the entire area with water. Baking soda helps dry the area, which will keep bacteria from proliferating.

4. Salt. This is another helpful antibacterial agent that can rapidly heal your mouth sore. You may either mix two teaspoons of salt and lukewarm water then gargle and swish in your mouth, or directly put salt powder on the wound. The latter would hurt a lot but the healing will also be faster.

5. Food. Some foods may be the cause of the outbreak, so make sure that you avoid eating those. Some allergies may only transpire after two days so keep a record of everything you ate to specifically determine the kind that triggers a reaction. Have antihistamines ready to counter any sudden reactions from unknown sources.

6. Hygiene. Whether or not you have an existing mouth sore, proper oral hygiene is a must to ensure that your mouth membranes remain free from bacteria and other agents that may cause outbreaks. Brush your teeth at least twice a day, gargle with mouthwash and floss to take out food particles that may be stuck inside your mouth. Also visit your dentist at least twice a year to make sure that your mouth is always in tiptop shape.

There are also certain herbal remedies that can effectively treat your mouth sores but be sure to consult your doctor first before consuming any. Some treatments may have untoward reactions to other parts of your body, even if they prove effective in treating mouth sores, so be very cautious and never self-medicate.

1. Honey has anti-bacterial ingredients. You can use pure, unprocessed honey all over your face as a weekly mask. I use honey twice weekly. At first, I did not notice any differences except there was this sticky layer over my face. But, after a month or so, my pimples are started to diminish without any scar. How illuminated I am to find that! Now, every time acne appears, I just dab a bit of honey as a remedial action before going to bed. It works wonder.

2. Honey can act as a natural moisturizer as it will retain water from drying out of the skin. As time passes, skin gets wrinkled. So, it is important to keep it hydrated so it will not lose its suppleness, young-looking, smooth appearance. Applying thin layer of honey into face daily as night cream replacement will be beneficial to the skin.

3. Pure honey can be used as a treatment for chapped lips. Before bed, apply a thin layer of honey to lips and leave it overnight. Do this regularly and you will kiss cracked lips good-bye.

4. Honey is natural antioxidant. But, to obtain the benefit, we must also keep it daily so it will heal from the inside. My mom always drinks a spoonful of honey as part of her traditional medicine routine. But, you can also mix honey into your tea or apple juice.

5. Honey has this calming scent. You can create your own home-made body scrub using a mix of honey and coarse sugar. Afterward, your skin will look deeply moist, velvety and radiant. In addition to that, your mind will find serene.

That is the benefit of honey to make skin looks healthy and shining. Now, what if you want products that have all the benefit of honey minus its sticky nature and can be used in any occasion? I recommend you to use Oriflame products that from Milk and Honey range which consist of face mask and face cream. It will hardly nourish your skin and preserving its ability to combat pollutant material while at the same time, keeps acne away. You might look below sites to find out where to buy.

Why Use Facial Cleanser Cream Instead of Soap?

Did you ever wonder if you really need a facial cleanser cream?

Why not save a couple of bucks and just use soap on your face? Well, if you have ever tried it for a few weeks you know the answer.

Soap is very drying.

Dermatologists do not recommend the use of soap on the face. Soap is fine on the rest of your body. It is simply not recommended for your face due to the harsh detergents, fragrances, and deodorant properties most soaps contain.

Facial cleansers are specially formulated for the delicate skin on your face. They usually have a low pH, that is more acidic and will not upset your skin's unique acid coating.

Soaps, on the other hand, have a high pH and are more alkaline. High alkaline products will irritate your skin.

If you have dry skin it is even more important that you use a facial cleanser cream instead of soap to remove your cosmetics. A cream is especially good for dry skin because it is formulated to help restore a natural moisture balance.

Another thing you should always check your facial cleansers for is fragrance. Be sure they are 100% fragrance-free, as most facial skin types are sensitive to fragrance additives. Almost all bars of soap contain some sort of artificial fragrance.

There are some mild soap-free cleansing bars manufactured for use on your face. These bars do have a low pH and are gentle on your skin. However, facial cleansing bars are usually so mild they may not remove the oil build up from an oily complexion.

All facial cleansing creams are mild but still have the cleaning action needed to remove facial oil from oily skin. But, unlike soap, their superior cleaning properties will not dry out sensitive or aging skin.

They really are the perfect cleaning tool for any skin type and far superior to soap.

These products are tested for skin irritancy and allergies. If you have sensitive skin it will probably be on your face, or neck. Soap will irritate these areas.

Facial cleaners should also be non-comedogenic. Although you do want them to moisturize, you do not want problems if you have oily skin.

Why use facial cleanser creams instead of soap?

Because they are specifically arranged for your face.

They are made for all skin types.

They are not only clean but nourish your skin.

Soap is for the rest of your body, be good to yourself and use something special on your face.

The Basics Of Opioid Withdrawal

When one is dependent on opioids, withdrawal can start simply hours after taking one's last dose. One may experience diarrhea, vomiting, insomnia, restlessnes, or muscle and bone pain. In the major cases, the largest withdrawal symptoms are worst by seventy two hours and often subside over the next 5 to 7 days.

Withdrawal mediated pain is when one's pain returns even more intensely as the opioids wear off. The opioids help with pain initially, then during withdrawal the effects of the medication not only wear off, but then go the other way.

For some individuals who take narcotics, they get a burst of energy. People may spend more time cleaning the house, car, completing chores. The pain is lessened by the narcotics, but the medications also have an effect on other neurotransmitters such as dopamine. After narcotics are stopped, a reduced energy level may result with substantive incapacitating fatigue.

In addition to relieving physical pain, opioids diminish emotional pain. One may find that they are taking the prescriptions for anxiety, irritability, fear, or depression. Studies have shown that the rate of major depression is directly related to how much pain a person feels. The more pain experienced, the higher the depression symptoms.

Many patients on narcotics develop tolerance, which is a state of adaptation where exposure to a drug induces changes that result in a lessening of the drug's effects over time. So then it requires more of the medication to have the same initial effect.

Opioid induced hyperalgesia is a condition that can result from long term opioid use. It represents a heightened perception of pain and can make one feel worse with more pain sensation. The solution to this problem is a reduction or discontinuation of the medication which should be accomplished under medical supervision. The discontinuation can result in less pain than while on the medications.

Additional problems seen with opioid therapy may include a lessened immune system, disruption of one's sleep cycle, and sexual dysfunction.

Stopping narcotics will entail a withdrawal phase for one to two weeks, and one's energy level will be "off" for a while. Dysphoria may set in which can include irritability, low energy, and depressed mood.

The best way to get off of narcotics is typically a medically managed situation where it's a slow weaning. For many, heavy withdrawal symptoms last for 3 to 5 days. It will go away, die down, and disappear later.
