Mind Power – The Greatest Computer

The greatest mystery in all of creation is the human mind. The late President of the United States, John F. Kennedy described man's mind as "the most extra-ordinary computer of all". This evaluation is based on the complex nature and working mechanism of the mind. The brain which the mind uses is known by scientists to have over 10 billion neurons or nerve cells in the brain's cerebral cortex, intricately interwoven and installed in an orderliness that would baffle any electronics genius. The tiny brain of a child of four, for instance, is said to be more powerful than any computer designed by man. This is demonstrated in the child's ability to utilize common sense or in exercising judgment.

The brain's five basic functions of touch, taste, smell, hearing and seeing are normally taken for granted. But are you aware that beyond these five physical functions, there is an extra-ordinary quality associated with the brain? Dr JB Rhine, a famous American psychologist, successfully conducted experiments to prove that telepathy and intuitive inspiration are all part of our brainpower. It is this extra-ordinary quality of the brain and its link with the human mind that is discussed here. This quality confers on man the ability to create, and creation is man's so-called godly attribute. But how do you create? The answer is simple. You create through your mind using your thoughts.

Rest assured that you can use your mind to create anything you desire – the good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly – anything at all. That is the reason why you must learn to control your thoughts because of the irrepressible nature of the human mind. MIND POWER at work here.

Dr Steve Pink of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) had also made an interesting observation. Today's computers are acquiring more and more processing power, he asserted, but even the most powerful computer can not compare with the brain of the little child mentioned earlier. This is indeed an astonishing phenomenon! No computer has been known either to re-write its program or regenerate itself with the passage of time. A computer program would be required to carry out any such needed adjustments using newly coded instructions or commands.

But with the brain, an organ through which the mind expresses itself, such adjustments are achieved automatically all through the individual's life. The brain regenerates itself. It can safely be stated without contradiction that the most advanced computers are primitive devices when compared to the human brain and mind. Have you considered the system that makes it possible for you to remember new names and new faces year in and year out? Can you imagine the size of the computer memory disk that would have made this possible – imponderable, you might say.

Brian Tracy in his fast selling book, "Maximum Achievement", has likened the human mind to the Central processing Unit (CPU) of a large computer network, which can be accessed, affected and programmed by operators from several sources. Any new information or data, whether true or false is taken in and alters operations in every other area.

The subconscious mind is the most critical region of the CPU of this network and your main task is to program yourself so that what you think, feel and believe become the mental equivalent of exactly what you wish to experience and enjoy practically and physically. In other words, you must paint a clear bright picture of who and what you want to be in mind, so that this picture will be etched on your conscious from where it is transmitted on to the subconscious to be acted up for concretization. All this in a nutshell describes the mechanism of the MIND POWER philosophy outlined in a very simple and readable form in the Success through Mind Power book.

Does Your Past Hold You Back? What Keeps You Trapped?

Your expectations may be flawed

When you have experienced a serious setback or life-changing event, it is natural to feel vulnerable, fearful, angry and hurt. You may be thinking, Why has this happened to me? Why did he do this to me? I did not deserve this. It should not have happened. A loving God would not have allowed it.

Hidden within such questions are expectations that are not necessarily realistic. For example, that life and people are always fair, that anyone is exempt from hardship and strife, that there is always an obvious reason for why things happen. And as for God … who knows what he / she would or would not do?

Poisoned by blame

Seeking someone or something to blame is a common response to difficult events. But brake keeps you focused on the past. It keeps you in a state of helpless anger. It may also serve as justification for not getting on with life. Even if your hardships were due to other people's faults, meanness or carelessness, do not let it trap you into hate and thoughts of revenge. Hard as it may be, the past has to be accepted as a fact. This does not excuse or minimize what happened but only by taking responsibility for yourself from now on, do you have a chance of becoming free.

Stuck in analysis paralysis

The question 'why' is so seductive that we often get stuck searching for an explanation. But sometimes it is simply not possible to find one. Many events are so random that it defies explanation. You may have been born into difficult circumstances. Perhaps you were at the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people? If you can not find a satisfactory explanation for past events, accept the uncertainty, let the past be the past and turn to the future.

Tripped up by hindsight

I should have known better … I should have seen it coming … Speculating about what you should or could have done in the past is a form of self-sabotage. Clairvoyants may have the ability to look into the future and foresee other people's actions. But usually people do the best they can with what they've got at the time. Speculative hindsight only keeps you focused on the problem rather than looking for solutions to your predicament.

Stinkin 'thinkin'

Anticipating a terrible future, catastrophising, black-and-white thinking, 'shoulda, woulda, coulda', are very convincing thoughts and seem so true. However, most of the time they are unrealistic, over-dramatic, fear-based or simply wrong. They also close you off from seeing new options and stepping forward. Replace stinkin 'thinkin' with thoughts that are realistic, life-affirming and helping you find a way forward.

Resisting or condeming your pain

When pain gets too overwhelming, it's common to seek relief and avoid feeling it: Ignoring or numbing it with alcohol, drugs (legal and illegal), sex, workaholism, excessive use of technology etc. However, until you honestly look at your pain, it will hold you in its grip. The only way to resolve painful feelings is to feel and acknowledge them, understand their context and accept them as a hurt from the past that no longer needs to hold you back. Then you can take positive steps to heal.

3 Reasons Why Your Emails Are Not Being Responded To

Email deliverables are important – with an estimated 74 trillion emails being sent every year, it is necessary that your emails are reaching its intended inboxes. But reaching the inbox is one thing – acting upon it is another.

True, you can work on your subject line, making it catchy and arresting audience’s interest, but that will only help to improve email opens. Conversions are still a matter of concern.

So why not examine what you are doing wrong with your emails that it is not encouraging conversions?

Here are the 3 popular reasons why emails do not get responded to:

Your emails are not personalized enough

Remarkable as it may be, personalized emails have 41% higher CTRs than non-personalized ones – and even then 70% marketers fail to personalize their email marketing messages. Personalization however does not mean adding the “name” of the recipient in the body of the email. It means creating content unique and relevant to your recipient.

But wait – how is that possible when you are sending thousands of emails? The answer lies in using segmented email lists. Segment your audience as per their preference and personalize emails as per that.

Some of the other things to remember during personalization include:

  • Working on the “From” section – use your name instead of a company name
  • In case you are running a contest, use email marketing automation to send personalized emails.

Social media proof and Mentions are lacking

Is your email being sent out without including the social handles? Not a smart move considering people like to know what others are thinking of your brand as well. When adding social icons however, it is wise to ensure that you are actually active on the platform and you have positive feedback on your page. It’s of no use to drive people to your social page and then let them see only 200 likes or 500 followers. Not a very appealing number.

Also, when you are constructing the body of your emails, it a good practice to include the names of some reliable client or event testimonial. People find these social signs more credible to believe than self-bragging. You are probably missing all mentions of your brand in your email messages and hence missing out on conversions as well.

Where is the carrot?

Whether you are into B2B or B2C marketing, the carrot or “added benefit” works for all.

If you are familiar with online shopping then the term ‘cart abandonment’ will not be new to you. What will also not be new is, receiving an email from the eCommerce vendor, reminding you in a polite way that things are waiting in your cart. If you still do not respond, there will probably be an email after two days with an additional 5% discount if you buy now!

This is also true with customers who have not been active for a while. You may be familiar receiving emails with subject lines like -“We have missed you!” or “Áre you still interested?”

The question is, have you been using these methods of audience engagement for your email campaigns? If not, this is probably where you can work on.

Go back to your email database today and identify customers who have not done business in the last 6 months and there you have something to look forward to with your business!

How to Get Rid of Cold Sores Fast?

How to get rid of cold sores fast? Its a question that a lot of people who are affected by this disease wonder about. People who have recently picked up this variant of the herpes virus wonder Are cold sores contagious? When is the next outbreak going to happen?

Yes Cold Sores (or also known as Fever blisters) are very contagious in their blistering state. Fever blisters can be in their dormant state for months and months then a outbreak occurs which lasts from two to twelve days. Then It could go into remission state again and there can be a significant period of time in between the next out break. But there are one of several different things can trigger another outbreak.

There has been some suggestion about using such methods like a alcohol based mouth wash to dry out the affected area so it can start the healing process (even if I do not advise this), even tea bags are being needed witch hazel for that to work. A more painful (and not recommended method) is grinding salt into the area with a spoon or your finger. I am pretty sure that will wake you up in the morning!

There are currently some OTC (over the counter) medicines that can speed up the process but until there is a cure, when a outbreak hits you must be sure to limit your exposure to other people. Mostly keep away from skin to skin contact that means no kissing as it mostly effects the mouth and lips area. Be sure to throw away your toothbrush after your outbreak is done because it can actually keep re-infecting you over and over.

Do not share eating utensils or meals with anyone who has not got a cold sore, be sure to wash your hands frequently. Maybe even getting a hand sanitizer could help stop the spread of cold sore virus during your outbreak. Steps you can take to stop the blistering is to take vitamin C and get plenty of rest. Try to avoid stress as that can cause a break out. Also watch what you eat as some dairy foods, meat and nuts as they contain amino acids which can cause flare ups. Some citrus foods can irritate the blister when you have a outbreak.

These little steps can help you with your outbreak and live a more normal life by taking control of the outbreaks. And less the chance of the blisters appears when it is most inconvenient.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism is the most common neurological disorder affecting children; and also is one of the most common developmental disabilities affecting American and Canadian Children. ASD changes the way the brain processes information which affects all areas of a person’s development.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurological disorder resulting in developmental disability; this affects a person’s communication, social understanding and behaviour including interests and activities. Autism usually appears around the first three years of a child’s life and boys are more prone to autism than girls.

No one person with ASD behaves or responds exactly the same way as others with the same diagnosis, each individual is quite unique. There are actually five different Autism Spectrum Disorders described under a diagnostic category, Pervasive Developmental Disorders [PDD].

1. Childhood Disintegrative Disorder[CDD]:

This is a rare condition that affects 0.2 in 10,000, symptoms are significant losses in social behaviour, language, and play. These symptoms usually appear after at least three years of normal developmental period. This disorder results in severe defects in cognitive ability.

2. Rett Syndrome:

This too is a rare condition that affects 1 in 10,000 and affects girls inclusively. Again significant regression after a period of normal development. Severe impaired language and psychotic motor skills and difficulty cognitive ability.

3. Autistic Disorder [AD]:

This condition is diagnosed more often and affects 20 in 10,000 cognitive impairments, deficits in non-verbal and verbal communications and social understanding, unusual behaviour and restrictive activities.

4. Pervasive Developmental Disorder – not already specified [PDD.NOS]:

This condition is often used in 15 in 10,000 diagnosed; this is also named a typical Autism. This condition is severe and pervasive impairment that can be found in some interaction or restrictive activities and interests.

5. Asperger Disorder – also called Asperger’s Syndrome, and Asperger Syndrome, AS

This is a common disorder and is diagnosed 5 in 10,000. This condition can have mild to severe impairments along with social understanding, interactions, repetitive, restricted interests and activities Cognitive and language development is not delayed; however there are deficits in communications.

Early Signs of Autism: (12 to 24 Months) – children may demonstrate only a few of these symptoms –

– May appear deaf because they respond unevenly or not at all to sounds

– ” Failure to Bond” (i.e. child is indifferent to parents’ presence)

– Does not Point and Look

– Chronic gastrointestinal problems

– Self restricted/selected diet

– Repeated infections

– Reaction to vaccines

– Difficulty consoling during transitions (tantrums)

– Often begins to develop language then loses it or doesn’t acquire language.

– Difficulty sleeping / wakes at night.

– Limited imaginative play

– Not interested in playing with other children

Many paediatricians and other physicians are not experienced in diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the physicians fear making the diagnosis because they were trained to believe that ASD is incurable. Do not accept your doctor’s advice if he or she proposes a “wait and see” approach or promises that your child will “catch up”. If your child has normal development and then regresses, you should seek help immediately. As a child’s brain develops it is pliable and there is a window of opportunity for recovery at a young age that however does diminishes as the child gets older.

The Secrets of Diabetes Control

Living with diabetes can be extremely difficult. Almost everything you do and every part of how your body functions affects your diabetes, often much more than you may realize. For these reasons, good diabetes control demands your active participation on a daily basis. Good diabetes takes more than just taking your medications and visiting your doctor regularly.

Your health care team can help you learn about diabetes, and teach you about making lifestyle changes. They are willing to help you any way possible. The question is, "Are you willing to make the changes to get back to good health?"

The first step many people overlook when they are diagnosed with diabetes is to evaluate their attitude. You must be wiling to accept the fact that you have a chronic disease that when treated casually can destroy your life. You must make up your mind to have a "take charge attitude." Only you can do what's necessary to control your diabetes. Not your doctor, not your friends or family. YOU ARE IN CONTROL. IF you choose not to take active control of your life and your diabetes terrible complications complications can arise. The choice is yours.

Left uncontrolled diabetes can be devastating and deadly. Diabetes that is not in good control may result in heart attacks, strokes, blindness, amputations, and kidney failure. That's right, I'll state the gloom and doom clearly-diabetes has serious and sometimes fatal consequences when treated casually.

Diabetes affects every area of your life … career to private and everything in between. The diagnosis of diabetes means many lifestyle changes for you. Changes in the food you eat changes in the medication you take, changes in the times of day you eat, changes in activity, and more. Once you've decided to take active control of your diabetes, the next step is to learn all you can about how diabetes affects you and the changes you need to make to control diabetes. IF you do not understand what is happening inside your body, it will be hard to make the right choices to improve your control. Read, study, learn, and ask questions.

With proper training, education, and application of that knowledge, you can live a healthy and productive life. Remember, do not expect complete control immediately. It will take time. It is your life, the quality of your life depends heavily on the time, and commitment you are willing to give to control your diabetes. Take control today for a better tomorrow.

Obesity- Childhood Weight Problems Increasing

With the growing trend in obesity, childhood is now often the time when weight problems start. In fact, among children and adolescents obesity has already reached epidemic proportions in many parts of the developed world. This is an area of growing concern amongst health care professionals, as obese children and teenagers are more likely to become obese adults than they are thinner friends.

In addition, obese children are also have a shorter life expectancy than would otherwise be the case, with the result that many of today's youngsters will die before their parents. And what parent wishes to outlive his or her children?

The illnesses associated with obesity include diabetes, heart disease, some cancers, infertility and depression. Children who are obese could find themselves suffering from these conditions as young adults without steps are taken to help them lose weight.

There are many reasons for childhood obesity and these need to be deal with sensitively. Young people are just finding their identity and harsh criticism that undermines attempts to get them to lose weight. However, they should be encouraged to take as much responsibility for their eating habits as possible.

Enabling children to understand the consequences of unhealthy eating as early in life is important, as this can help avoid overweight, but what if they are already addicted to junk food? Families need to work together on this and parents should set a good example by what they eat themselves and should get their kids involved in shopping and cooking. It is also crucial to remember that children are still growing and so must not be disturbed of essential nutrients. Therefore very restrictive diets should be avoided, except in extremely severe cases of obesity, and then only under medical supervision.

Parents should also make a point of listening to their children and taking time to discover the undering reasons for their offsprings' overeating. Kids, like adults, eat for psychological reasons and it's important to be aware of any causes of unhappiness, such as bullying or too much pressure to do well at school.

It is important to address the problem as early as possible, as it becomes more difficult to deal with the more overweight the child becomes. In the early stages, it may be possible to get things back on track with a few changes in diet and a bit more exercise, both of which can be adjusted by the whole family. However, if overweight has become a serious problem, it is essential to enlist professional help. Obesity, childhood or otherwise, is a major health risk and combating it involves adopting a healthy way of life for ever, not just until an acceptable weight has been reached.

Cold Sores Cause – Most Likely a Close Relative! Plus – How NOT to Infect Someone Else

Cold Sores and the Herpes Simplex Virus

Cold sores indicate that you've been infected by the herpes simplex type 1 virus (aka "HSV-1"), although it is possible, although rare, that those cold sores were caused by the type 2 strain ("HSV-2" ), usually the strain that causes genital herpes. Both strains are capable of infecting a person and causing sores in a multitude of different areas on the body including the mouth, lips, eyes, nose, finger and toe nails, genitals, and even the CNS (Central Nervous System).

Cold Sores Essential Information

Oral herpes is the most common manifestation of the herpes virus, by far, with genital herpes being second. Cold sores typically remain dormant in the sensory nerve cells around the site of initial infection (usually the face around the mouth), until an active outbreak occurs – an active outbreak is when you get a visible cold sore. This will usually last between 2 and 21 days, with an average for most people of about a week. Over time, your body will build up an immunity to the virus, and this will result in the frequency, severity, and duration of your outbreaks decreasing over time – some people who have been infected for a long time (you can never get rid of the herpes virus, sorry) will go years between outbreaks.

The Most Likely Cause of Your Infection

There have been several studies which have shown that, the vast majority of the time, oral herpes is transmitted to a person in their youth when they were kissed by a relative who's been infected and has an active cold sore outbreak (Source: http: / / /www.herpes.com/hsv1-2.html ). So, yes, you probably have a kissy-faced grandmother or aunt to thank for your lifelong cold sore problem. This is particularly likely if you started getting cold sores when you were a child, which would mean that you were infected when you were very young and there before you probably acquired it from contact with an infected relative suffering who had a cold sore. If you got infected later in life then something else was probably the cause, most likely that you acquired it from an intimate partner through physical contact, like kissing someone with a cold sore.

How To Keep From Infecting a Loved One Yourself

Obviously, now that you know this, you do not want to do the same thing to anyone else, so is there anything you can do to keep from infecting a loved one? It's been shown in studies of sexual couples that when one partner has herpes simplex and the other does not, the use of anti-virals like acyclovir by the infected person can reduce the odds of infecting the other partner by up to 50%. It was shown that asymptomatic (without symptoms) viral shedding happened on 10.8% days of the year in patients not receiving prescription anti-viral treatment, versus 2.9% of days while on antiviral therapy (source: http: //www.ncbi.nlm .nih.gov / pubmed / 16238897 ). So, in other words, if you're concerned about infecting a partner, child, or other person then the best course of action currently available is to go to your doctor and talk to them about going on a course of anti-viral treatment. Not only will this reduce the odds of infecting someone else, but being on a continuous course of anti-viral treatment has been shown to reduce the frequency, duration, and severity of cold sore outbreaks when they do occur.

Treatments for Teenage Depression

It must be noted at the outside that teenaged depression can often be missed or misunderstood as part and parcel of being a teen. After all, teens are moody creatures, are not they? Yes teens do have mood changes. Depression in teens is much different than the usual mood swings.

There are warning signs that indicate your teen is or may be depressed. Poor school performance after a period of time with acceptable work and grades could be one indicator. You may see your teen start to withdraw from friends, family and activities. They may quit a favorite sport or refuse to go to activities with friends and spend more time isolated in their rooms. They may appear to be deeply saddened and lack enthusiasm and / or motivation.

Your teen may express hopelessness, anger or rage.
Self-esteem may be at an all time low and they may feel like they can not do what they set out to do. Making decisions, inability to concentrate and forgetfulness may occur. Although they have become somewhat isolated, they may also be restless and agitated. There may be evidence of substance abuse or suicidal thinking.

There are a few causes of teenage depression that could come from a break-up. Loss in the form of a job, death of friend and / or family member could create teenaged depression
Failure in school or elsewhere, divorce of parents, or some tragic event like accident, serious illness, or abuse can trigger depression. Girls, at the rate of two times more than boys, become depressed.

The first step in getting help for your teen is to get them a complete physical including blood work. You want to rule out any type of physical illness such as hypothyroidism and anemia. If your teen has a chronic condition and is on medication you might consider checking out that medication to see what the effects are. Some medications have negative interactions with some foods and other medicines.

Treatments for Teenage Depression include Psychotherapy which could help your teen recognize and conquer negative thinking, solve problems, and to learn better communication and interpersonal skills. If there are issues from their childhood these are deal with as well.

Medication is another form of treatment for teens. Tests still need to be done on the long-term effects of antidepressants on teens. Some of them may cause your teen to have suicidal thoughts and as a result your teen should be closely monitored.

Another option in the treatment of your teen's depression is herbal supplementation. Herbs can be very beneficial for those who do not want to take prescribed medications or who want to avoid the serious side effects of many of them. Herbs that are known to have specific effects on mood are blended in a precise formula for a rounded treatment of depression.

Consult with your doctor to see if this may indeed be an option for your teen. Herbal supplements should be made to pharmaceutical grade. The ingredients should have had their metabolic paths examined at the molecular level. The interactions of the ingredients should also have been tested.

Teenage depression is sometimes missed because of the tendency of teens to be moody and beginning exhibiting more and more independence. It is imperative that if you suspect your teen or a teen you know is depressed get them help or alert someone who can do that.

Anxiety Panic Attack & Agoraphobia – Dietary Impact

Very little progress is possible in dealing with anxiety panic attack and agoraphobia without addressing diet. In fact many professionals believe that addressing diet is the total cure for overcoming panic and anxiety. However, I'v learned that other factors such as personality, understanding the general adaptation syndrome, methods of dealing with disappointment, understanding the difference between observation and conclusion … are also important to deal with in detail. This program produced results of 80% success rate for those suffering from anxiety panic attack and agoraphobia.

So let's begin with diet. Diet is the foundation of improvement and without it we can not expect any improvement – absolutely none.

A high refined carbohydrate diet consisting of bagels, rolls, spreads, cakes, coffee and sodas containing caffeine is the largest mistake that can be made. Why?

Simply because refined sugars from these types of foods easily break down to blood sugar causing a rapid rise of blood sugar – as much as 50 calories / minute. For years this may not be a problem, but it's like crying "wolf." This rapid increase in blood sugar is sensed by the pancreas which counters it with the creation of insulin to reduce the blood sugar. Under normal conditions the blood sugar would stabilize, however, after years and years the system is overtaxed and causes an over abundance of insulin to be created. This over abundance causes the blood sugar to drop too low which is the condition known as hypoglycemia.

If you do any internet search for hypoglycemia you'll find a page full of symptoms which include jitteriness, nervousness, shortness of breadth, anxiety, increased heart rate, palpitations … which is why many professionals treat anxiety with diet alone. And if it were not for other learned complications such as months and occasional years – even decades – of conditioning dietary correction might well be all that's required.

Conditioning? Pavlov did the initial experiments in conditioning. Every time he fed the dog, he rang a bell. And then, after a period of trials (conditioning) he only rang the bell (no food) and the dog salivated just as it did when given food. Thus the bell became the conditioned response. Likewise, every time the anxiety response was triggered by hypoglycemia, there were surrounding physical and mental stressors so that ever just thinking about the possibility of an anxiety attack (the bell) lies on an anxiety attack.

Never the less, diet is the first thing to correct. Start by eliminating all forms of white – white bread, bagels, rolls, cakes, white potatoes, white processed rice, sugar. And of course stay away from anything with caffeine. Avoid fructose. I would not suggest artificial sweeteners in their place. If you're looking for a zero calorie sweetener, stevia, an herb from Paraguay, is the best natural sweetener and is available in health food stores everywhere.

Eat nuts, meats, eggs, non processed cheese, vegetables, and consume only breads made of whole grains. Use natural sweeteners such as honey sparingly. And at first, avoid consuming more than one portion of fruit a day. Minimize consumption of cold cuts.

Because you may have nutritionally stressed your body, I recommend a multivitamin such as RainBow Light's Complete Nutritional System – available in most health food stores or you can order from my website at a discount.

Minerals have likewise been depleted – especially calcium. The best calcium / mineral supplement is in ionic form such as a product called Xooma Coral Calcium also available through my website.

In summary, nutrition is where you start. The next challenges are to learn to handle life's disappointments because one's personality is directed leaves one emotionally at a loss in dealing with disappointment. It's actually the desire to escape disappointments which when symptoms are experienced accelerate and contribute to activation of the general adaptation syndrome (GAS) activating the flight response. Dvd / cd programs for the professional working with panic and anxiety are available through the website.

Sleep Deprivation Symptoms – Don’t Let Lack of Sleep Spoil Your Day

One of the most necessary ingredients for good health is a good night’s sleep. It’s as important to our wellbeing as a healthy diet and exercise. Unfortunately a lot of people today are not getting the rest they need. This may be because they are busy and trying to create more time by cutting down on their sleep – not a good idea! At the other end of the scale there are those who find it difficult to fall asleep or stay asleep, or their sleep is of very poor quality. If either of these describes you, you will no doubt experience sleep deprivation symptoms

Sleep deprivation displays obvious symptoms like extreme tiredness, sluggishness and drowsiness. Occasional fatigue or lagging energy is normal from time to time, but if extreme tiredness is interfering with your normal daily lifestyle, you’re potentially dealing with sleep deprivation.

Sometimes ongoing fatigue can cause memory loss. It’s difficult to recall information when you’re sleep deprived. Also, mental fogginess may present itself, making you lose clarity, feel confused and distracted. The main reason for this mental confusion is that the brain suffers from too little rest. Sleep nourishes and replenishes the brain preparing it for another onslaught of mental work like thinking, speaking, remembering and writing.

A little known symptom of sleep deprivation is moodiness. The brain chemicals responsible for a level and pleasant mood rely on our brain getting sufficient rest. Being sleep deprived can cause anxiety, stress and depression. Sleep deprivation symptoms should not be taken lightly, as they can affect the way you operate throughout the day. A good night’s rest increases your chances for a positive productive day.

If you have ever attended college you have probably experienced the dangerous symptom of lack of sleep: lowered immune functioning. Constant fatigue interferes with the immune system’s ability to fight off sickness. On campus, during finals week many students fall victim to colds and other illnesses because they’re burning the midnight oil causing extreme sleep deprivation. What’s more, being deprived of sleep impacts on your body’s recovery time, meaning you could be dealing with, for instance, a cold for a lot longer.

The first step to ending sleep deprivation is self-explanatory, get more rest! However, sometimes getting a good night’s sleep is challenging. People with insomnia or other related disorders have little choice but to deal with sleep deprivation because they find it impossible to establish a natural sleep rhythm necessary for quality sleep.

To prevent most problems with insomnia, it’s important to establish proper sleep hygiene. This means going to bed at the same time each night, putting dark curtains over windows and incorporating soothing sounds or smells into your bedtime routine. These small things can help train your body to know that when you enter your bed, it is time for sleeping.

Many of these symptoms will quickly disappear if good sleep hygiene habits are maintained regularly. If insomnia continues to plague you, seek the advice of a sleep specialist or doctor to find other ways to help your body learn to fall asleep.

If you think you may have some of these sleep deprivation symptoms there are methods and techniques that can help. No one should have to suffer with insomnia if it can be prevented. Ensure you get your share of sleep for a healthier more fulfilling lifestyle.

Nail Fungus Symptoms Will Vary From Person To Person

The first symptom of a toenail fungus infection is discoloration of the nail. The symptoms of a nail infection will vary depending on the type and severity of the infection.

Nail fungus infections, also known as onychomyscosis, account for about half of all nail disorders. They can be difficult to treat and repeated infections are common. The infections are particularly prominently in nails that have been continuously exposed to warm, moist environments like sweaty shoes or shower floors.

Toenail fungus infections usually begin with a white spot under the tip of the nail. As the fungus spreads deeper into the nail, the following symptoms may occur:

o Thickened nails

o Brittle, crumbly or ragged nails

o Nails that are distorted in shape

o Nails that are flat and dull

o Yellow, green or black nails

o Pain in and around the nail bed

The nail may develop white, yellow or brown patches. In some cases the nail may become brittle and appear chipped. There may also be flakey, scaly skin surrounding the infected nail.

A toenail infection that has an incompetent odor may be in advanced stages and you should see a doctor immediately. If the infection is severe, you will have significant pain and will find it difficult to walk.

Thickening of the nails is another symptom of toenail fungus infection. If your nails thicken, you may find it difficult to wear shoes. Sometimes thickening leads to an ingrown toenail which can be painful and limit mobility.
If the symptoms are left untreated, fungal infections of the nail can cause permanent damage to the nail, leaving it ragged and distorted. The fungus can spread to the skin surrounding your nail causing paronychia, a surface infection of the skin around the nail.

Paronychia can cause painful lesions, redness, swelling and pus-filled blisters. You can avoid the pain and embarrassment of paronychia by treating your nail fungus infection symptoms in their early stages.

The type of treatment plan you choose will depend on the severity of your symptoms and your personal preferences. Some people prefer to try home remedies before consulting a physician for prescription medications. Many of the prescription medications that are available to treat nail fungus infections have unseen side effects. The most commonly prescribed oral medications are Sporonax, Diflucan and Lamisil.

True love hurts. They had dated for two years. He introduced her to her first kiss. He wed someone else. She had a dowry. It has now been twenty years. The aches linger still.

It is frustrating, heart-wrenching, painful. she loves him. Thoughts of him consume her at night, when she wakes, the first thoughts in her mind are thoughts of him. She so deeply in love. She's tried to keep her imagination at bay, she's tried to cut the strings. The aches linger. Lonely days turn into months, year, decades. she wonders … what has he been up to. She ponders; "thinking of me perhaps." The notions that she is pining away is just too much.

Almost, he loved her once. He is funny, handsome with laughing eyes. He is the type of guy you cuddle up to. She had always thought that he was the one … He was hers. There was always passion, fire, desire. He always knew the right button to push. Their relationship was one of a kind. It is truly missed; the friendship at most. With him, it was always a banter, a laugh, he is such a tease. Ah, there was always that spark, She used to sometimes get nervous with anticipation when they were closed. There was this peace she used to feel when they were together, when she saw him, and when he was around her. His smile just made the day seem brighter. It is hard to imagine that he no long belongs to her. They are no longer a team. Yet she loves him still.

Her love will not fade away, and when he returns, her love will be waiting. Their love is predestined. He has not gone forever. They have a bond that to this day she still tries so willingly to hold on to her her pinky nail. Never will she ever be over her prince. He is that unforgetable. He has stained her heart like an ink spot on a fabric that will not go away regardless of the solvent. She can not ever hate him. She is not over him. One day their path will cross.

She is waiting for that call, or that email email beckoning her to him. She awaits the day he tells her how much he really does still love her and that it was an error in judgment. He was stupid for ever going astray. They have not spoken. She has not stopped thinking of him. She loves still. His presence lingers. She smells him, she feels him, she kisses, she touches him.

She will not tell him that she is still in love with him. She is saving the "love" stuff for when they are revisited. When he is in her possession once again. In her mind eyes, she can see him thinking of her; she can hear him talking to her; she can watch him looking at her. He is that amazing.

Well, while they have not spoken in a while, her imagination has taken a great many liberties as far as he is concerned. She is a romantic. There will be a reunion. They have a love that binds. Their love is predestined.
