I really like to work with clients on this as it is something that I can empathize with them on, as I too once suffered at the hands of this phobia. I remember once speaking at my local church and feeling my throat slowly tighten, my knees started to give out and my hands were shaking like a jack hammer. Luckily and with the help of hypnosis, that fear and phobia are now behind me and I now love being in front of a crowd.

When dealing with anxiety, it's important to understand the reasons behind it.

Anxiety is an important topic in today's world. With the stresses and high-paced life that more and more people are experiencing, the number of people struggling with anxiety is growing.

Studies have shown that the main causes of anxiety are psychological, genetic and environmental factors. There is still a lot to be discovered about anxiety and related disorders though.

Those former to negative thinking often fall victim to anxiety and develop anxiety disorders. Negative thinking is not something that happens by chance or genetics; it is often self-inflected. When people have hard times at work or with relationships, they tend to develop negative thinking tension. It often includes thinking that they are not worth something or someone. Psychiatrists are divided on the genetic factors of anxiety disorders. There are studies that show the connection but not all psychiatrists are convinced by these studies. However, in most cases, children with anxiety disorders are from parents who suffer from similar conditions. So it is not confirmed that the studies are completely false either.

While there is the chance that parents do not pass anxiety on to their children through their genetics, the environment certainly does. The environment that children have during their development has a deep impact on their future behaviors. If the environment is full of people and situations relating to anxiety, it becomes quite obvious that children in this environment will be sentenced to anxiety disorders too. An encouraging environment helps children have a developmentally healthy childhood. On the other hand, in an environment that teaches them to suppress their emotions and cultivate fear, children grow up with anxiety. They do not get appreciated for anything. It makes them think that they are not able to do anything good in life. The lack of self esteem that stems from this environment never leaves them until they get help.

Since mind and body are closely bound with each other, some medical conditions may cause anxiety. It is already proven that some factors make a certain group of people more vulnerable while other factors have little effect on them. If one of those factors combines with a medical condition like hypoglycemia or hyperventilation, it can cause anxiety.

Heart and Cardiovascular System Support

Coronary heart disease (CHD)

CHD is caused by atherosclerosis, in which cholesterol-filled atheromas or plaques form in the lining of the coronary arteries that supply nutrients and oxygen to the heart muscle. The atheroma process is believed to be initiated by inflammatory reactions in the artery wall in response to damage, mediated by inflammatory eicosanoids formed from the omega-6 fatty acid arachidonic acid.

Fish oil

EPA from fish oil is converted to pro- and anti-inflammatory eicosanoids in cell membranes, mainly prostaglandin I3 & E3, 3-series thromboxanes and 5-series leukotrienes. Prostaglandin I3 is strongly anti-inflammatory and the inflammatory eicosanoids produced from EPA are reliably weak, providing an overall anti-inflammatory effect.

Omega 3 fatty acids help prevent atherogenesis and thrombosis by reducing platelet aggregation and thromboxane production, inhibiting clotting, dilating blood vessels and reducing blood pressure. They also inhibit fatty acid and triglyceride synthesis and VLDL secretion in the liver, reducing serum triglyceride levels. Patients with cardiac arrhythmias given fish oil had a decrease in arrhythmias, serum triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, plasma free fatty acids and thromboxane B2 and HDL cholesterol increased. A systematic review of studies on fish or fish oil and cardiovascular disease concluded that intake significantly reduced all-cause mortality, cardiac and sudden death and possibly stroke.

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)

CoQ10 is an important antioxidant coenzyme naturally found in the body that transfers electrons in the electron transport chain in the mitochondria of cells, a vital step in energy production for all cells and especially the heart and muscles. It helps scavenge damage free radicals and can regenerate the body's main fat-soluble antioxidant vitamin E. Statin drugs have been found to reduce CoQ10 levels with adverse effects on mitochondrial and heart function. Supplemental CoQ10 is advised for patients with familial hypercholesterolaemia, heart failure and those over 65 years of age on statin therapy.

Supplemental CoQ10 has been shown to improve cardiovascular function. Patients with cardiovascular disease on CoQ10 had reduced chest pain, fatigue, breathlessness and palpitations and less need for medication.Myocardial infarction patients taking CoQ10 had significantly fewer cardiac events, heart attacks and cardiac deaths at twelve-month follow-up.A systematic review of high blood pressure trials found that, overall, CoQ10 lowered systolic blood pressure by 16mm Hg and diastolic by 10mm Hg. Patients with cardiomyopathy taking CoQ10 had improvements in ejection fraction and cardiac output. In a study of congestive heart failure patients given CoQ10 in addition to conventional treatment, 38% fewer patients required hospitalization for their heart condition and there was a 60% reduction in episodes of pulmonary oedema.

The trouble is that the majority of people who have this problem or any problem come to that matter do not know how to overcome it or let it go. They end up doing all the things that make the problem worse, holding it in position for many years in some instances.

Overcoming Anxiety Panic Attacks
Overcoming the problem, any problem, is easier than most people would believe. Instead of focusing on the problem, instead of trying to get rid of it, fighting it, hating it or being angry with it turn away from it and focus on what you want instead. It makes sense that you can not get rid of a problem while you focus on it because whatever you focus on increases.

Instead of fighting anxiety panic attacks let go and choose again. Think about what would be the opposite to panic attack for you (it will be different for everyone). The opposite could be to trust that all will be well, to be relaxed, to be calm, cool and collected to be happy, healthy, abundant or safe.

When you've chosen what you would prefer instead say it. Say it out loud or in your head, make a jingle out of it and sing it to a popular or favorite tune. Use the following affirmation daily and as often as possible, "Every day, in every way I'm getting better and better and better." In this way you trancend the problem (get over it).

Keep going, do not stop at the first hurdle, all new habits have to be repeated over and over before they become our new reality. You did not learn to drive by having one lesson and this new behavior will not be installed with one or two repetitions. It is however guaranteed that if you persist you will very soon find a positive change in affairs.

Congenital heart disease affects children, infants, and even fetuses, which are still developing inside the uterus. Treatment of congenital heart disease depends solely on the intensity, degree, and type of disease, besides other factors such as age. In an aggravated state it typically requires surgery; however, only a trained and professional pediatric cardiologist should examine and decide about the surgical options in infants and children. In a mild state, medications can work.

Congenital heart disease is dangerous. Starting from a very mild state, it can take the form of heart failure, leading to an early death. Proper diagnosis, medications, and treatment are required and must be restored to by anyone who suspects he has congenital heart disease.

4Ps & 6Ps – Marketing Mix

Marketing mix is one of the major concepts of marketing. According to the traditional base, there are 4Ps of marketing. These are referred to as the marketing mix. But in the modern use of the term, many more Ps have been coined. People have found six, seven even eleven Ps of marketing. In this article we will talk about the 4Ps and 6Ps.

Four Ps

The four Ps of marketing mix consist of Product, Price, Place and Promotion. Product means the thing that you are selling. It can also be a service like the tourism industry.

Price means the rate at which the product is being sold. A number of factors are involved in determining the price of a product. These include competition, market share, product identity, material costs and the value customers perceive of a product. In fact prices are also determined by competitor’s products. If the competitors have the same product, then the price of a product will go down.

Place refers to the real or virtual place from where a product can be bought by a consumer. Another name used for place is called “distribution channel”. Promotion is the way that a product will be communicated to the general public. There are four distinct ways in which this might be done- ‘point of sale’, ‘word of mouth’, public relations and advertising.

Somewhere down the line people felt that four Ps were not enough for marketing mix. It had to face a lot of criticism mainly on the grounds that it was extremely product focused. This was not enough for the economy which is based a lot on services as well nowadays.

Another criticism that marketing mix has to face is that it does not have a ‘purpose’. So it should be looked upon as a tool that sets marketing strategy. Another criticism of marketing mix is that it does not discuss customers. This is why the concept of Six Ps of Marketing mix has achieved relevance.

Six Ps

The six Ps contain all the four Ps of marketing – product, price, place and promotion. In addition, it contains, two new Ps, namely People and Performance.

People include the potential and current customers of the business and how they make their purchase decisions. Market segmentation is also a part of this. It contains the features of market segmentation and the most attractive segments of this market.

The next P is Performance. This implies the performance of the business. The financial and strategic objectives of the business are dealt with here. It is also seen whether these objectives are achievable and realistic or not. The metrics of financial performance are also seen and appropriated in this division.

The six Ps of marketing mix help to overcome the criticisms of the four Ps. Hence the 6Ps serve to be a better alternative as compared to the 4Ps of marketing mix.

Fear Is The Mind Killer


In the words of a sci-fi film, "Fear is the mind killer.

Anyone remember the film? It was "Dune".

It has often been said the fear we feel when trying something new, is the fear of failure, of rejection, or of appearing foolish. It may not be a life-threatening fear, but it has been with us for as long as we can remember.

As children, (in my generation anyway), if you made a mistake in primary school, you stand a good chance of a ruler across the knuckles for 'not listening'. We were taught from an early age – do not take the risk, everyone will laugh at you, in fact the fear of failure became so bad at times, (because of the resultant whack over the knuckles), that I was so scared of the 'result', I could not get the words out, even though I knew the answer.

You know I read a book once, a great book called, "Think and Grow Rich." A great book full of great advice, but you know what I have found any time I have been faced with a challenge where I might be made to look foolish. I've found the opposite to be true, do not think, do! "

The more you think about it, the more excuses you can think up, not to do it. It's not quite the right time, everything's not quite in place. You might fail.

I have come to the conclusion that success in anything does not come about by thinking about it, (the 'Paralysis Analysis' approach), but getting out there and getting something started. More often than not you find that 'Fear' is nothing more than what people have been telling you all along – 'False Evidence Appearing Real'.

I think it was Socrates who said that 'Action equals knowledge', so this is not a radical new concept, but in fact a secret of hundreds of years old.

I might think I could write an article, but before I get thinking of too many excuses to fail, I find that if I stick my neck out and jump in, the article gets written. Perhaps not well enough for a Pulitzer Prize, but it gets done!

I'm a private pilot. You realize that course at some point, the trainee student has to take the aircraft up on their own? Go 'Solo'. I guarantee there are not many situations you will find yourself in that are as frightening.

So how did I get to be a pilot? I overcame my fear of flying alone, by doing it alone the minute the instructor stepped out and said, "You're ready, away you go!" If I've thought about it, I guarantee you I would not be a pilot today. I flew that aircraft firing like a leaf, saying to myself, "Now you've done it, you fool! If I had thought about it for any length of time, I think I might honestly say that today, I might still be thinking about it.

I guess my point in writing this article is to encourage you not to think just do.

This is not as difficult as you think. You can walk or cycle to work, take up an exercise class, join a sports team and more.
