Natural Treatment For Hair Loss and Baldness

Let me start out by saying that this is a topic that is very near and dear to me as I have been on a journey to find out what actually works to stop hair loss and grow hair. I'm fairly young and my hair has been steadily "receding". As you may know this is not something one looks forward too! What I found was a couple of natural ways to grow hair and the primary cause. I found that Alopecia Areata to be a hair loss condition that causes someone to have round patches of baldness very quickly. Even though the actual cause of alopecia areata is not currently known in some cases it can be linked to people who suffer from autoimmune diseases. However, even people that are in good health can suffer from it. Approximately 20% that develop it will be because of family history. Luckily for most people that suffer with alopecia areata there hair will normally grow itself back in a year or so without it ever having to be treated. In this article we will go over some of the natural treatment for hair loss and baldness which have been shown to be effective in treating the problems in the studies being carried out.

A few essential oils

In the double blind place controlled study that was transported the team examined the use of a combination of assorted essential oils and placebo oil on 86 individuals who were suffering from alopecia areata. The mixture was made of thyme, rosemary, lavender and cedarwood essential oils which were mixed with carrier oils of jojoba and grapeseed. The mixture would then be applied to the scalp daily and it was the control group who only used the carrier oil for their daily massage.

The test went on for a total of 7 months and after this time 19 of the 43 people (44%) who had been using the essential oil blend showed any improvement to the hair on their scalps compared to only 6 of the 41 people (15 %) who were in the control group.

Onion Juice?

In this study which was published in the Journal of Dermatology they Intensely studied the effectiveness of onion juice compared to a placebo on a test group of people with alopecia areata. Of the individuals being studied 23 of them were asked to apply on juice to the scalp two times daily for two months while the other 15 were asked to just apply regular water twice daily for two months.

The study showed that people who were in the occasion juice test group began to see some form of hair growth after using the treatment for two weeks and by the time 4 weeks had passed 17 of them (73.9%) had begun to experience some hair growth . Then by the sixth week a total of 20 of the people (86.9%) in the onion juice group were now experiencing some form of hair growth. Also improvement was significantly higher in the men in the group than the women and during the whole 8 week (two month) trial only two people in the tap water group not any hair growth.

Glaucoma is an eye disorder characterized by extremely high pressure in the eyeball and causes the optic disk to be damaged. Although the symptoms may not show up until it is in the advanced stages and is irreversible. This causes the optic disk to be damaged. People should get regular eye exams especially after the age of 40.

In the later stages of Glaucoma there is a loss of peripheral or side vision capability. Blurred vision, blind spots, and halos around lights may occur. Poor night vision is also a late stage symptom of Glaucoma. Left untreated blindness could occur.

Omega 3 fatty acids include DHA-docosahexaenoic acid is important to eye health and brain functioning. EPA-eicosapentaenoic acid and alpha-linolenic Acid are also Omega 3 fatty acids and together are believed to support good health. Omega 6 fatty acids are Linoleic acid and Arachadonic acid. While these do have some health benefits most diets have an overabundance of Omega 6 and this has been linked to such problems as Heart disease, Macular Degeneration, Strokes, Diabetes, and Arthritis.

Specific studies have not been done to test the reliability of using Omega 3 fatty acids in the treatment of Glaucoma. They have been known to have benefits in other eye problems such as retinal issues and Macular Degeneration. It would be interesting to see studies that addressed the durability of Omega 3 treatments.

There have been studies done to test the benefits of Cod Live Oil according to one study has been shown to relieve intraocular pressure in dogs. Cod Liver Oil is one of the few fish oils that are very rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and since it is already known to relieve other eye conditions can we then believe it would help treat Glaucoma in humans? This definitely bears further study. If Cod Liver Oil does prove to be a positive treatment of Glaucoma it would be an important addition to current courses of treatment.

You can get this by wearing gloves, certain condoms, other peoples’ jewelry, and chemicals in cosmetic products. In order to combat this, use hypoallergenic products and only use sensitive soaps or detergents on that delicate genital skin.

4) Molluscum Contagiosum is a common virus that is passed through skin or sexual contact. Sharing things with other people, even simple things like mats at the gym, towels, eye-makeup or toiletry items can transmit this virus from one human to another. Even though this is painless, and you won’t be uncomfortable, this virus presents small bumps on the affected area, which can cause itching, dryness and flakiness. Take the proper precautions by wearing gloves and be forewarned that scratching that itching the pesky bumps can lead to the infection spreading to surrounding skin and increased scarring. Keep those fingers off!

5) Smegma is normal but can be very gross. It is caused by the build-up of moisture, oil, and skin cells on the shaft of the penis. For uncircumcised penises, it is a common problem underneath the foreskin. Smegma causes a thick sour-smelling discharge and can also cause redness and irritation, leading to dryness and itchiness. In order to prevent or rid yourself of smegma and dry, flaky skin, make sure to properly clean the penis and pay close attention to the folds of the skin if you are uncircumcised.

Consider your condom choice when determining the cause of your penile itchiness. Latex and spermicides can cause irritation and allergic reactions, so make it a point to use hypoallergenic condoms to combat any sort of irritation from other substances.

Properly cleaning your genitals is the most important thing to do to combat an itchy penis. If you have foreskin, clean it by pulling it back and thoroughly cleaning the tip of your penis as well. After correctly washing the genital area, pat dry the genital area with a towel until it is completely dry. In clinical observations, Manuka Honey has also been proven to have the ability to manage wound infection in circumstances where antibiotics and other conventional treatments have failed. Cancer – When Medical Treatments Did Not Cure Anything

Cancer is a serious illness. It is also a “misrepresented and misunderstood” illness. Patients go to their doctors hoping to be cured of their cancers. Often, they failed to find that elusive cure. My experience showed me that those patients who have cancer for the first time and who have no relatives or friends with cancer before, have the misconceived notion that medical science can cure cancer. They would say: “What is the problem, with my money and the best doctors, the best hospitals and the best chemo-drugs, the problem can be easily fixed.”

For more than twelve years now, I have been involved with terminally ill cancer patients who come to seek my help after medical science have failed them. It is very frustrating to know that patients are just naïve. They went to their doctors with total belief and expectation that their cancer can be cured. They do not seem to understand that the responsibility to get well and to maintain their own health is with them, not the doctors. They prefer to leave everything to the so-called “experts.” The story below is one example of what I often encounter.

In March 2007, I received a phone call from a long-lost friend. He wanted me to help his wife, Betty (not real name) who had just been diagnosed with brain cancer. As I went through his wife’s medical history, it turned out to be more than a “sudden” diagnosis of brain cancer.

In 2001, when Betty was forty-five years old, she underwent a total hysterectomy due to a 20 x 22 cm left ovarian tumour. The surgeon did not recommend any follow up treatment after the surgery. The impression Betty had was that: “Everything is taken out and it is all clean.”

Everything seemed to be alright for Betty after this surgery. She did not go further than that and like most people, she was satisfied that she was well taken of. The surgery was the “proven” answer to her problem.

In early 2004, Betty had difficulty moving her bowels. A big tumour was found in her colon and she underwent a surgery to remove it. The histopathology report dated 27 April 2004 indicated that her colon was distended up to the terminal ileum. The splenic flexure showed a tight stricture resulting in a blind loop gut. Betty was eventually diagnosed with a moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the colon, stage B. Since no lymph nodes were involved, the surgeon did not see any need to give her any follow up treatment. Betty was again given the impression that everything was well taken of.

Three years later, in March 2007, Betty had headaches and lost her balance when walking. She also vomited. MRI of Betty’s brain on 26 March 2007, showed the presence of “an irregular 3.2 x 3.0 x 1.8 cm loculated enhancing lesion in the left cerebellum. There was associated surrounding edema with compression of the midline structures.” Doctors advised immediate surgery. The surgeon impressed upon the husband that without immediate surgery Betty’s cancer would spread like wild fire.

Betty’s husband came to seek my advice. I cautioned that resection of the tumour from the brain might not solve her problem. It could worsen the situation. Most probably the tumour would recur and often very soon too. In addition, a CT scan showed that there was a 3 x 3.8 cm mass at the base of Betty’s right lung. There was also a 5 mm hypodense nodule in segment 4 of her liver. Betty also had gallstone. So to say that the cancer can spread fast is ill founded – for the cancer had already spread to her lung and liver.

Based on the “fear” expounded by the doctors, Betty underwent surgery. Histopathology report dated 2 April 2007 confirmed “tubulovillous adenocarcinoma metastatic to the brain, consistent with primary in the colon.”

After surgery, Betty was asked to undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Betty was told that if she did not go for chemotherapy she would have only six months to live. With chemotherapy and radiotherapy Betty could expect to live for another two to three years. She would need six to eight cycles of chemotherapy, at about RM 2,000 per cycle. Since Betty was told that her cancer could not be cured, she declined further medical treatment.

Betty was started on herbs on 8 April 2007. After the surgery, she appeared normal and was able to eat well. However, her husband noticed the change of mood in her. She had bad temper, often had mood swings and did not want to socialize. She seemed to have memory loss. In short, Betty after surgery was not like the Betty before the surgery.

Barely two months later, Betty felt dizzy and nauseaous again – the very symptoms she had before being diagnosed with brain tumour. She would vomit even with the slightest smell of herbs. MRI of the brain on 11 June 2007, showed the presence of a “large irregular 3 x 4 cm mass in the left cerebellum. A similar 1.5 x 1.5 cm area was seen in the left temporal lobe. Surrounding edema was noted. The 4th ventricle was slightly compressed.” The radiologist concluded: “Left temporal and cerebellar metastasis.”

Betty remained at home under hospice care. She vomited everything that was put into her mouth. She felt dizzy with the slightest of movement and she was not able to move her bowels. Unfortunately, there was nothing much that could be done.

What you are about to read … will change your golf life forever! What are these three "secrets"? If you knew how would they effect your game ?. These three "secrets" are what the worlds best players do. Every player MUST know these "secrets" if they are to have a powerful, repeating golf stroke.

The problem with the majority of golfers is that they do not know what to do. Oh their friends, well wishers at best, tell them that they are "bending their left arm", "raising up through the shot", "coming over the top" and host of other swing faults. But these are the same people that shoot the same scores you do! What could they possibly tell you that would improve your game?

The information you are about to receive is not theory or conjecture but science. Ooooh, you say, this sounds complicated. Well it is not, it is simply the laws of force and motion that govern our entire lives and day to day living. Once you understand these simply laws your golf game will forever change … for the better!

Secret # 1: A Flat Left Wrist

Because the golf stroke involves a golf club, a left arm, and a wrist in between, it is called a "lever system". The left wrist acts as a "hinge pin" much like the old time "flail" used to beat wheat. This "hinge pin" can rotate, cock or uncock but NEVER Bends!

Golfers however routinely bend the left wrist causing the clubhead to reach the ball before the hands do. This causes a "quitting" motion, adds loft to the clubface, points the face to the left of target, makes the clubhead swing upward disabling the downward motion that ALL good golf shots MUST have. Good players DELOFT the clubface at Impact. Poor players ADD loft to the clubface costing them distance, direction, and trajectory.

A 5 iron, for example, has approximately 8 degrees for "forward lean" when soled properly. At Impact with good players the "lean" is approximately 15 degrees. This turns the 5 iron into a 4 iron. Poor players reach Impact with a "backward" leaving clubshaft thereby ADDING loft and turning the 5 iron into a 6-7 iron!

Secret # 2: A Staright Plane Line

You only have two choices when it comes to the swing plane, you are either on or you're off. There is no middle ground!

What exactly is the swing plane? The plane is the angle of the clubshaft as it sets at address – period! It is NOT Hogans plane of glass as many would have you to believe. There are only three planes available;

1. Horizontal – a wall

2. Vertical – the floor

3. Inclined somewhere in between

As golfers you and I use the Inclined Plane to swing the club back up and end, down out and forward, up back and in making the Golf Stroke three dimensional.

The clubshaft, actually the sweetspot of the club, may travel to any other plane angle during the swing as long as it DOES NOT cross the base of the plane. Here is a simple way you can know if you are on plane or not. Whichever end of the club is near to the ground MUST also point at the base of the plane from horizon to horizon. If none end is nearer then the clubshaft MUST be horizontal to the ground and parallel to the base of plane.

Secret # 3: A Lagging Clubhead

Lag by definition means "trailing". When the clubhead passes the hands coming into Impact there is no "lag". Without "lag" the golf ball can not be compressed, we can not hit downwards, and we have a tremendous power loss. Clubhead lag promotes a steady and even acceleration giving us a dependent way to control distance.

Look at any picture of your favorite player at Impact. The left arm and clubshaft are in ONE LINE! Never two lines. This means that the player is utilizing "lag". When a ball is stuck with "lag" it explodes off the clubface! Without this "lag" the sound turns into one of mush, a soft Impact instead of a driving Impact.

If you follow this outline, learn these three "Secrets" you will be hitting the ball with more compression than you ever thought possible.

For example, a Driver striking a golf ball with a 2 degree "backward" leaving clubshaft at 100 mph with 9.5 degrees of loft produces a launch angle of 6.4 degrees and a carry distance of 230 yards.

By changing Impact to a 2 degree forward lean clubshaft the player produces a launch angle of 10.4 degrees and a carry of 251 yards. A 21 YARD INCREASE WITHOUT buying a new Driver and simply having clubhead lag!

Alopecia areata affects men, women and children of all ages. While the resulting hair loss is not always permanent, the bald patches and thinning characteristic of this condition can cause sever loss of self-esteem. Causes of Alopecia Areata

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder which causes the body's natural defense system to attack the follicles, damaging them and impairing their ability to produce hair. Health reform refers to the changes in health administration, health planning and, health research that places significant emphasis on local health challenges aimed at improving health administration, health planning and healthcare. They will combine to produce an efficient model of healthcare delivery capable of increasing patient physical, medical and psychological safety. Health reform should be driven by empirical data, best practice and evidence based practice. A variety of health statistics; such as mortality, manpower needs, technology functioning and patient satisfaction; should be analyzed and employed in strengthening health systems.

In Trinidad and Tobago the current system of healthcare is highly centralized. The Ministry of Health maintains operational oversight of five regional health authorities. These are the North West Regional, North Central Regional, Eastern Regional, South West Regional and Tobago Regional. South West, North West and North Central are the largest regions; each catering for the healthcare needs of more than three hundred thousand people.

A significant reform should be the specialization of the Ministry of Health in fewer functions aimed to improve healthcare efficiency. For example, it can concentrate on data compilation and analysis. It should be staffed with expert health researchers tasked with analyzing changes in epidemiology, and trends in morbidity and mortality. Many items normally lifted in his job exceed this limit. The employee is temporarily assigned to another department because work in this area does not involve lifting. Another employee is assigned to do the injured employee’s job. This is a restricted work case because the employee was transferred to another job.

Medical treatment case (MTC) is a work-related injury or illness that calls for medication, treatment, or medical check that is normally administered by a health-care professional and that goes beyond first aid case. Medical treatment case does not result in lost time from work beyond the date of the injury.
