Panic Attack – Importance of Knowing Breathing Techniques to Calm Down During a Panic Attack

When you experience a panic attack, there are several things you can do to help you recover faster. Proper breathing techniques are one of the most popular and easiest to perform during a panic attack. If you know and are well versed with a few breathing techniques to help you calm down during a panic attack, you will find that you will recover faster and are more in control of the situation when it hits you.

The Importance of Breathing Techniques

During a panic attack, your heart rate will increase tremendously and when that happens so does your breathing rate. These two are the hardest symptoms to deal with and they make the panic attack worse every time. The breathing techniques that you should know are those that can help you slow down your breathing and hence calm you down so that ever your heart rate will return to normal. Once you can perform these breathing techniques, you should be able to handle your next panic attack better.

There are a few breathing techniques that you can learn immediately to help you calm down during a panic attack. The main thing is that you have to be in control, concentrate and slow down. The best breathing technique for calming down is very easy to do. You simply focus on something around you, such as a flower, television or anything else that you can focus your eyes on. Once you start focusing, your breathing will automatically slow down because since you are focusing, your body knows you are in control of the situation and hence goes back to its normal state.

The bottom line is that if you are proficient at some breathing techniques for calming yourself down during a panic attack, you will be able to recover faster and the recovery period decreases over time. Focus and being in control of the situation are the key elements to help you out during a panic attack.

Autistic Disorder – One Term, Many Meanings

Though autistic disorder is often thought of as a single condition, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in fact refers to five different kinds of autism. When most people think about autism, they’re only thinking about one type – the kind they saw in the movie Rainman – and don’t realize that this is only a fifth of the disorders to which autism truly refers.

The first type of autism is called Classic Autism. It’s also known as Kanner’s autism, or Kanner’s disorder after a doctor who researched the condition in the 1930s through the 1940s. Classic autism is one of the lower functioning forms in the spectrum, and is identified by its high level of social and communication issues. Children with the classic autistic disorder rarely interact with the majority of people. They often suffer from poor motor skills and frequently repeat actions and motions. They are also generally reluctant to make eye contact and may display temper tantrums when they experience a change in their usual routine or environment. Though some individuals with classic autism are completely verbal, many struggle to communicate through speech, and others cannot speak at all.

The second form of autism is referred to as Rett’s Syndrome. This type off autistic disorder is another low-functioning one. Rett’s is exclusive to females and often occurs in conjunction with mental retardation. Rett’s girls are typically impaired in their movements and will rarely communicate verbally. Studies have concluded that Rett’s is passed on genetically, though no hypothesis has yet to be proven regarding the reason that it occurs only in girls when all other types of autism occur in boys 75 percent of the time.

The third kind of autistic disorder is Childhood Disintegrative Disorder. Children with this form of autism often develop normally, or are diagnosed with Classic Autism or Rett’s Syndrome. However, the diagnosis changes with the speech and motor skill problems that accelerate. Regression occurs between the ages of two and four for an unknown reason, though it is suspected that it may be brought about by illness or types of surgery. This hypothesis has yet to be proven.

The fourth form of autistic disorder is Asperger’s Syndrome. It is easy to misdiagnose children with this disorder as they generally have better social and communication skills than other autistic children, but they still face limitations. It typically isn’t until these children begin school that these limitations start to become obvious. Children with Asperger’s often do very well with behavioral treatments and are able to exist quite well within a normal lifestyle when they begin these therapies as early as possible.

The last form of autistic disorder is also the most vague. It is called PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified) and is the diagnosis given to children who are believed to have autism but whose condition does not fit the typical definition of the other four types of autistic disorder. These children may have some symptoms that match some of the autism forms, but do not have a specific kind of autism that can be diagnosed.

Part of the understanding of autism comes along with the knowledge of where the disorder may have come from and what can worsen the symptoms. There are many different theories, including the impact that allergies can have on an autistic child.

For some autistic people and relatives of those on the spectrum the autism disorder classifications are two broad and there is a belief that effective treatments are unlikely to be discovered until the spectrum is broken down further. A common phrase within the autism arena goes like this…’when you’ve met one person with autism, you’ve met one person with autism’. This phrase highlights the diversity of symptoms and abilities of people grouped together under the spectrum umbrella and confirms the complexity of this disorder.

6 Alternative Medicines For Type 2 Diabetes

With over 200 million people suffering from diabetes worldwide, and counting, it's fast becoming the # 1 epidemic of modern times. A major cause of end-stage renal disease, preventable amputations and blindness, the efficiency of many alternative medicine treatments in managing diabetes has been explored.

While conventional medicine has prescriptions of endocrine disorder drugs for diabetes, alternative therapeutic approaches to its management include herbs, plant extracts and more.

The following are some naturals and alternative therapies that seem promising to scientists studying their effect on diabetes.

1. Fenugreek: This herb is commonly used for appetite loss, and to stimulate milk production in breastfeeding women. And a handful of studies have discovered that fenugreek may help in bringing down blood sugar levels in diabetes sufferers, that's according to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicines (NCCAM).

Some time back, the Diabetes UK referred to several herbs being studied, including momordica cymbalaria, gymnema sylvestre and swertia chirayita.

2. Momordica Cymbalaria Roots: This a cucumber-like vegetable was evaluated by scientists for its effect on Type 2 diabetes control and their tests on diabetic rats showed an improved glucose tolerance.

3. Gymnema Sylvestre Herb: Originating from the Indian tropical forests, this herb when tested for its effects on the body's ability to produce insulin, appeared to have a direct impact on the pancreatic insulin producing cells.

4. Swertia Chirayita Bark: Laboratory studies on the bark have found that some compounds separated from it appear to set off insulin production, in addition to enhancing its action.

5. Berberine: Chemically classified as a salt and found in the roots and barks of many plants, it has been documented in Chinese literature for having glucose lowering properties. According to Research Australia, the compound is indeed able to help lower blood sugar levels in animal models of diabetes.

6. Tai Chi Exercises: This is not quite a herb, nonetheless, according to the April 2008 issue of the British Journal of Sports Medicine, Tai Chi exercises can improve the management of type 2 diabetes through improving blood glucose levels.

After appearing promising, experts believe that a lot more research is needed to definitively establish some of these alternative medicines' degree of efficiency.

The Scourge of Childhood Obesity

Obesity is a growing problem. In fact its been indicated that obesity will soon take-over tobacco smoking in causing death. it is particularly rampantly spreading across young children. About 20 percent and growing of children between six and seventeen years are obese. This number has been shown to have doubled in the last 30 years. Doctors indicate that this is something that is coming out of their parents. The same study has shown that one-third of adults are overweight as well. What most parents fail to realize is that nutritional habits for children are formed during childhood. When children are offered a balanced diet over time, they will develop good eating habits.

When working with children, a low fat diet may be dangerous. Research on diet for children under two years of age does not indicate that a low-fat diet is healthy. Too little fat may be dangerous. Not enough fat in a diet is thought to possibly retard growth and development in children. This is also because young children may not be able to eat enough calories and nutrients for growth. Interestingly fat is a concentrated source of energy. It provides twice as many calories as carbohydrates and protein. Apart from providing energy fats are also used for energy storage, organ insulation and for transporting the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K.

Health risks for obesity in children include high blood pressure known as pediatric hypertensive and blood cholesterol as well as social and psychological stress. Doctors note that the greatest risk is with children who remain obese into adulthood. They become at greater risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, gallbladder disease, arthritis and certain cancers. Just as obese children, obese adults will also face psychological and social stress.

There are a variety of weight gain causes in children. Poor diet habits, heredity, family lifestyle, socio-economic status and a child's ethnicity are known factors in causing obesity. Obesity is highest among Hispanic, Africa-America and American Indian Children especially girls. Experts have reached a conclusion that genetic tendencies combined with habits that promote weight gain make it a greater possibility for a child to be overweight. Children who consume high calorie soft drinks and fruit beverages may be adding to the problem. Sugar in sodas has been shown to contribute to weight gain. In the United States, soft-drink consumption among school-age children has more than doubled in the last two decades. Showing our children the right eating habits is of immunity benefit. All parents and guardians are encouraged to show this way in this context.

Yeast Die-Off – Toxins Out of Your System As Rashes

If you have all the classic candida symptoms, rashes could have the form of toxins working their way out of your system as the yeast die off. Yeast produces toxins as its waste product and it gets into the blood stream and causes things like the achy joints and muscles, foggy head, headaches, memory loss, etc. It is an ingredient that when processed by the liver to rid the blood of it, it turns into a type of alcohol. So, you will get a foggy head and memory loss much like being drunk.

As the yeast starts to die off, it releases toxins that if it has been in the fungal stage does release into the blood stream. It is possible I suppose that you are having a die off reaction as the toxins spread through the body at this stage in killing it off. Another thing I recently read is that as the yeast is starved of its diet of sugar and carbs and starts to die off, it actually feeds on the dead yeast cells as they die off. The book I read this in said it is important to continue to do bowel cleansing with psyllium (Metamucil type fiber products) or another high fiber supplement along with a high fiber diet.

My nephew who had exactly clear skin broke out in an acne type rash the first two weeks of die off of her yeast after she started on the no sugar, low carb diet with addition of vitamins, lemon juice and garlic tabs as a yeast killer. After the first two weeks, her skin is completely clear again. I think every person will react differently to the die off of the yeast.

Coping With A Cat Allergy

Most people love to own cats and dogs, but unfortunately, many people are also allergic to such animals. If you think that you’ve suddenly developed a cat allergy, make sure you do your homework before blaming symptoms on your four-legged, furry friend.

The only way you can find out for sure if you’re suffering from a cat allergy, whether it’s longhaired or shorthaired, is to take a specific test given by your physician. While at the doctor’s office, your physician will also ask you a number of questions such as your family history, your past history of allergies and how long you’ve been feeling particular symptoms such as watery eyes, itching, sneezing, among other more serious complaints.

Then, the physician will more than likely perform what’s called a skin-prick test or an intracutaneous test. These two tests will determine whether you are suffering from a cat allergy. The first involves pricking the skin with a needle dipped in allergen extract, while injecting a small amount of the allergen extract just beneath the skin surface completes the second. If skin shows signs of reddening or swelling, it’s likely that you’re allergic to cats, or whatever other allergen the doctor is testing you for.

After you’ve been diagnosed with a cat allergy, it’s important to figure out what it is about the cat that makes you allergic. Is it the fur, urine, or their saliva? Most people who are allergic to cats are allergic to their saliva, but keeping licking tongues away from your face or hands won’t do the trick. Because a cat grooms its fur every day with its tongue, deposits of its saliva coat their fur, which when dry, leaves the dry, invisible allergens behind.

Not only do these allergens stick to the cat’s fur, they also become airborne as the cat moves throughout the house, floating through the air to land on carpeting, furniture, clothes and every other exposed surface. About the only way to prevent suffering from a cat allergy at this point is to find your cat another home, but for some this is a drastic, and unacceptable decision. If you own a beloved cat that you suddenly develop an allergy to, stock up on allergy relief medications, if possible, and try to keep the cat isolated to one or two rooms of the house, but most especially out of your bedroom and off of your bed. Giving your cat a weekly bath may also relieve symptoms, though your cat may not like that very much.

Even when a cat is given away however, the allergen may remain in the household for months. When suffering from a cat allergy, and you’ve decided to give away your pet, make sure that someone shampoos carpets and furniture that can hold onto the cat allergens. A cat allergy doesn’t mean you have to get rid of your cat, though it may be the best solution, especially among older people, and while not easy, a cat allergy isn’t easy to live with either.

The Debate Over Depression Alternative Treatment

The most common treatment for depression includes medication from one of three families of prescription antidepressant drugs. But as more and more people have been diagnosed with clinical depression in the past two decades, the incidence of serious and sometimes life-endangering side effects from these families of anti-depressants has increased.

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed as clinically depressed, you may be due to begin a regimen of a potentially dangerous prescription antidepressant. If so, there are several depression alternative treatments and therapies from which you can choose. They have proven effective for many depressed people, and some of them might work for you.

These depression alternative treatments include herbal supplements, vitamins, and light therapy. While none of them are supported with the amount of research which has gone into any of the FDA-approved prescription antidepressants, they have been and continue to be, the subjects of scientific studies. And their use is becoming more and more mainstream as the negative side effects of antidepressant drugs become better known.

St. John's Wort

The most popular herbal depression alternative treatment is John's Wort, or, as it is sometimes called, Klamath Weed, Goat's Wort, or Hypericon. The flower of the St. John's Wort plant has been used for centuries to treat everything from insect bites to mental illness. It has sedating and analgesic effects, and practitioners of herbal medicine currently use it to treat depression, insomnia, and anxiety disorders.

Sr. Johns' Wort can be taken in tablet form, as a fusion or as tea. Traditional medical doctors are of varying opinions concerning its effectiveness as a depression alternative treatment; some think it does produce beneficial results, while others think that any positive reactions it causes are nothing more than placebo effects.

St. John's Wort does sometimes cause side effects, including dry mouth, dizziness, and nausea. It can also interact with some prescription medications, so those considering it as a depression alternative treatment need to consult their doctors.

Folic Acid

The vitamin Folic acid, or B9, is thought to have potential as a depression alternative treatment []. It is available as a supplement in tablets form, but is found in many vegetables, especially spinach and turnip greens, in liver, as an added ingredient in fortified breakfast cereals, and in liver.

Folic acid deficiency, in some studies, has been connected to depression. But, like the schools of thought on St. Louis. John's Wort, opinion is divided as to whether it has value as a depression alternative treatment.

Light Therapy and SAD

Light therapy, which can mean spending fifteen minutes a day under artificial lights or making an effort to spend more time in the sun, has been used as a depression alternative treatment to fight seasonal affective disorder or "winter depression."

Anxiety Group – A Note To A Fellow Sufferer

I can understand people being apprehensive to let anyone new into an established anxiety group. These topics are personal and very sensitive. When we speak about our anxieties we are in a vulnerable state of emotion and it is difficult to tell a stranger, in an email, personal experiences.

I may come across as really being out there but I have always been a person person, even before the heart attack in August, 2006.The important thing about opening up in these groups is that you can learn to trust. So much is done on the internet these days and it is the new way to find like minded people without physically traveling all over the world. The world wide web is bringing us closer together than ever before. People of all abilities and situations can find a place to communicate with others. I agree that we must be careful and build a relationship with the group members by asking good questions.

Joining a group could produce its own form of anxiety as we are venturing into the unknown. Taking this step to me means you are showing a willingness to recover from the issues you have.

I have had a lot of childhood abuse situations and I guess I deal with all of it by going outward instead of inward. However, I have suffered from anxiety and depression since I was a child. The first time I knew something was not right when I was 3 years old. Then again at 7 and when I really started to have a hard time I was 12.

Shortly there after my mom got sick with cancer and died. My whole family was put into foster care. I have not seen one of my brothers for over 40 years.

I am a mother of 6 children who are all grown and on their own. I live in Canada.

There is so much more to my story and when I tell it I realize how far I have come in my own personal development over the last few months .. The past is still inside me but I choose to put it in its place and not let it control me to the extent that it did for so many years. I know everyone has a different story and I am hoping to help. In helping others I help myself.

Hot Tips for a Healthy Penis in Winter

When winter rolls around, every man knows it’s time to step up his penis care game. Chilly weather, blisteringly cold winds and the frigid air that rises from snow on the ground can really do some damage to skin all over the body, from the scalp to the toes – and the penis is one of the most decidedly vulnerable body parts. Here’s how to maintain a healthy penis during the wintertime, and avoid the discomfort, dryness, and even penis pain that can sometimes result from the plummeting temperatures.

1) Run the humidifier. One of the biggest reasons for penis pain, dryness and other irritations during the winter is the lack of moisture in the air. As the cold weather rolls in, humidity drops, which really annoys the skin. This can be remedied through the use of a humidifier. They are cheap, easy to use and provide adequate moisture in the air to fight off the drying cold.

2) Moisturize like crazy. Putting more moisture in the air is a must, but so is putting more moisture on the body itself, including the penis. Using a high-quality moisturizer that includes Shea butter and vitamin E is a great way to not only ensure skin hydration, but to ensure it sinks into the skin and provides long-lasting relief.

3) Go with layers. When headed outside during the winter months, always dress in layers. While a big, thick coat might look really comfy – especially when the wind chill is low and the snow is glistening on the ground – dressing in layers can actually keep a person warmer while allowing for easy removal of some clothing when stepping indoors.

4) Stay clean as a whistle. Keeping things clean all over is the name of the game when it comes to avoiding irritation and penis pain during the winter months. Remember, a guy who is bundled up during the wintertime will sometimes sweat as he fights against the cold, and that sweat has plenty of time to settle into the area around the penis and lead to odor and other issues. A healthy penis requires cleanliness, so make sure to shower at least once a day with a gentle cleanser.

5) Drink plenty of water. Hydration from the inside out is always the best choice, no matter what the weather is like outside. The more hydrated a man is, the more likely he will be to have soft, supple skin. Remember that cells need the water to do their best work, and that includes the cells in the penis that deliver oxygen-rich blood for erections, as well as feed the nerve endings that make sex so enjoyable.

6) Choose soft fabrics. Layers are an obvious choice, but what kind of layers? When it comes to avoiding dryness, itching, irritation and penis pain from all of the above, a guy should go with fabrics that are truly delicate against the skin, such as very soft cotton. Some winter clothing contains wool, flannel or other fabrics that have the potential for harshness against the skin; avoid these and stick with the tried-and true.

7) Use a top-notch penis health crème. Finally, don’t forget to stay as hydrated as possible with the help of a specially formulated penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). A crème that contains the aforementioned Shea butter and vitamin E, applied directly to the penis, can help provide some of the best hydration available. Other ingredients, such as vitamin A, C, and D, are known for healing properties – this can be very advantageous for the man who is struggling with itching, penis pain and other issues during the winter.

Keeping Dinosaur Eels (Bichirs) In Tropical Freshwater Fish Tanks or Aquariums

Dinosaur eel

The dinosaur eel is the common name for the Grey Bichir, Polypterus Senegalus, though it is a fish and not an eel. There are more than a dozen species of this fish but the Grey Bichir or Senegalus Bichir is the most common and is popular among aquarists. This Bichir is covered in dark grey horizontal bands that become paler as the fish grows. Some Bichirs can reach over three feet in length, although most species, including the Senegalus Bichir, grow to around one foot.

Natural habitat

In their native habitat they can be found in lakes, rivers, floodplains and swamps in Africa, especially the Congo River and Nile. They are capable of surviving in waters with low oxygen content and can move in search of food or to find other wet areas in their home dries in time of drought.

Characteristic features

The misnomer of dinosaur eel (hereafter referred to as Bichir) comes from the prehistoric appearance of this elongated fish. Its snake-shaped body is covered by thick, bone-like scales made of an enamel-like substance called ganoine, which resembles the now extinct earliest ray-finned fishes. It has a distinctive series of up to 18 dorsal finlets, each one with a sharp spine, which are erected when it is agitated. The fleshly pectoral fins, which control the slow movement of the fish, are attached behind and below the gill openings. It is also able to travel over land using its strong pelvic fins. Bichirs can also breathe air via a lung-like modification to their swim bladder. Other characteristics include a pair of blowholes, a long lower jaw and external nostrils which protrude from the nose to enable the Bichir to hunt by smell since its eyesight is poor. Females tend to be larger than males, while adult males have thicker dorsal spines and broader anal fins.

Bichirs are predatory and essentially carnivorous and will attack and feed on small fish that are easy to swallow as well as slow-moving fish. They will also eat insects, crustaceans and frogs. Since they are nocturnal they will feed mainly at night.

After a series of energetic twisting movements, the male Bichir fertilizes the eggs by enveloping the female’s genital opening with his anal and caudal fin. He then scatters the eggs using thrashing movements of his tail. It is difficult, however, to get Bichirs to breed in captivity. Some aquarists have noted that even if a male and female are present, the male is often unresponsive and will not fertilize the eggs the female releases.

Aquarium size

Due to the length Bichirs grow and their need to breathe air, it is important they are housed in long tank aquariums that are not too deep, possibly even a fish tank table. Aim for an aquarium that is at least three times the adult size of the Bichir you have or plan to purchase. Choose fish tank aquariums that are no more than eighteen inches deep and do not fill completely with water. This is important as Bichirs need to be able to breathe from the air and therefore have to be able to swim quickly to the surface and back to the bottom where they dwell.

Being able to use oxygen from the air enables Bichirs to survive out of water for several hours. Given this and the fact that they have the instinct to move out of one place in search of food in another, it is recommended to have a tight-fitting lid on your aquarium!

Aquarium decor

A thin layer of soft sand or gravel is fine as substrate. Bichirs also like hiding places, especially as they prefer to stay out of the light during the day. So it is much more enjoyable for them to have robust plants, rocks and tunnels which allow them to display more natural behaviours. Plants attached to wood work best as Bichirs tend to displace plants rooted in the substrate because of their size and when searching for food.

Water conditions

As they are tropical freshwater fish, Bichirs require a temperature of 75-85 F. They like a pH of 7 or slightly below and prefer water that is a little hard. Of course, it is important to perform frequent water changes to ensure the quality of water is good in your tropical freshwater aquariums.

Aquarium lighting

Bichirs are nocturnal so they will be typically lethargic during the day and active at night. Rather than switching the aquarium lights off complete, provide the semblance of a natural nightfall by installing a blue moonlight bulb so you too can experience some action from your Bichir!

Being carnivorous, Bichirs love to be fed baitfish, mussels, shrimps and bloodworms. They will also readily accept frozen foods. Some aquarists have tried to encourage them to take dry foods by only supplying them until their hunger overcomes them, and have found they can adapt OK. However, I would mention that this is not their natural diet.

Tank mates

Given the large size of Bichirs and their predatory nature, it is extremely important to match them with suitable tank mates. Do not keep them with fish smaller than three inches which can provide a ready meal! It is better to match Bichirs with bigger fish as they will not bother as much with fish they cannot swallow. Siamese Tigerfish, Angelfish, large Barbs, Cichlids and Knifefish are possible tank mates. It has been observed that suckermouth Catfish tend to suck on the skin of Bichirs which irritates them and so it is not advised to keep both types of bottom-dwelling fish. Also avoid matching them with overly aggressive species. In a very large fish tank it will be possible to keep several Bichirs together, provided they are around the same size. They should generally tolerate each other, apart from fighting over the food!

To keep or not to keep?

Bichirs are interesting specimen fish but do be aware of all the issues involved in keeping them, especially the size of the tank and the other tropical freshwater fish you have or plan to have. Bichirs also cost more to keep than other fish, though they are a very hardy breed. Keeping Bichirs in a suitable environment requires careful planning!

Heart Burn Treatment

Heart burn is a common digestive complaint. You may choose a burn heart medicine or burn heart treatment of the prescription variety, over the counter or an herbal remedy. Depending on your symptoms and the frequency of flare-ups it may be wise to see your doctor. Occasional heart burn can be treated with an over the counter antacid product or an herbal remedy, if you prefer. Most of the highly advertised prescription drugs are for those who suffer from heart burn several times per week and are seeking an effective burn heart treatment.

Heart burn is a burning sensation in the throat or chest. It is caused by excess acid rising up out of the stomach where it “burns” the lower throat or esophagus. An effective burn heart medicine will neutralize the acid and/or relieve the symptoms. People who have heartburn frequently may want to investigate dietary or lifestyle changes. There is also an herbal burn heart medicine that has been shown to relieve the symptoms of chronic heartburn. This product generally takes several weeks to reduce the number of flare-ups. Another herbal burn heart medicine can be used to provide immediate relief from the symptoms of heart burn. This burn heart treatment contains fennel, mint oil and a combination of other traditional herbs used to counteract the effects of heart burn.

Reducing the number of acidic foods in the diet may reduce the frequency of heart burn. Foods like tomatoes, citrus fruits, fried foods and even chocolate may cause flare ups. Before you seek a burn heart medicine for chronic heartburn, you may want to take a look at your diet. By keeping a food diary, you may be able to identify the foods to which you are particularly sensitive, especially, if you only have heartburn occasionally.

An effective burn heart treatment program should include a look at lifestyle as well as a burn heart medicine for immediate relief. Prevention is the goal. Most people who suffer from chronic heartburn find that eating smaller meals every few hours is less likely to cause problems than eating a large meal once or twice per day. Dieticians also recommend this type of eating plan for those that need to lose weight. Overweight individuals are more likely to suffer from frequent heart burn. So, an effective burn heart treatment program may include changing what you eat and how much or how frequently you eat.

Chronic heartburn can be a symptom of more serious health conditions, which is why it is wise to have a physician evaluate your symptoms, before you begin your own burn heart treatment program. However, many doctors will simply write you a prescription for a burn heart medicine. It is wise to read all of the package inserts that come with the prescription drug and report any unusual symptoms to your doctor or pharmacist. One of the popular heartburn medications commonly causes diarrhea or constipation. Most doctors are not familiar with herbal burn heart treatment and many will not suggest lifestyle changes, unless you ask.

Along with the foods that you eat, what you choose to drink can lead to heartburn. Alcohol, coffee, diet sodas, regular sodas and fruit juices may cause heartburn in some people. This is why an effective burn heart treatment program includes recording or at least making a mental note of “when” you have heartburn symptoms. This will help you to identify what changes that you personally need to make and may prevent the need for a burn heart medicine.

Anti-Aging Treatment – Growth Hormone Therapy

Growth hormone is an anti-aging elixir for many people. They claim it is a remedy for all things even prevent or reverse aging. However, last researches state that there is no evidence that growth hormone to fend off "father time."

Researchers were linked by the Standford University School of Medicine and they agreed there is certainly no data out there suggesting that giving growth hormone to otherwise healthy people will make them live longer or even reversing aging. In fact, the study showed potential for adverse side effects.

Negative side effects are joint swelling and pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and a trend towards increased new diagnosis of diabetes or pre-diabetes. Many people have paid a lot of money for therapies that might have minimal or not effects at all, and inclusive to have side effects. This drug can be doing for you nothing but damages.

Nowadays, with the use of internet growth hormone are strongly promoted as anti-aging treatment and it has concern attention of popular media ranging from the "Today Show" to "Business Week". Consequently, this treatment became very popular.

50.000 people or so used this kind of hormone as anti-aging treatment in 2006 – just in the United States – with a cost often more than $ 1.000 a month. Researches showed that this number has increased since the mi -1990s, this increase comes despite high cost therapy, other important factor is illegal distribution of growth hormone.

Pituitary grand is a pea-sized organ at the base of the brain and produces naturally growth hormone, during childhood and adolescent years production is highest, and then typically start tapering off around age 30, continuing to decline into old age.

While injection of growth hormone are considered a legitimate treatment for short children and adults who pituitary glands do not produce enough ones to maintain normal metabolism, it is the healthy older what it is promoted as anti-aging treatment.

Healthy elderly person injected with growth hormone has a modest effect on body composition, increasing lean body mass or muscle. Studies state that practically people get nothing but risks using this treatment.

For example, other clinically important outcomes are not changed, such as bone density, cholesterol and lipid measurements and maximal oxygen consumption.

To sum up, studies provided no real evidence supporting this therapy maintained in increase fitness and you will do better trying another kind of treatment, the anti aging market place is plenty of alternatives.

Free Hanging Chest Dips Fitness Exercise

The free hanging dip exercise is an excellent exercise for stimulating the push muscles of the upper body, namely the chest, shoulders, and triceps. Just as with the bench press, there is scope for shifting emphasis onto either the chest or the triceps via a change in form during the execution of the lift.

Performing the chest dip with the upper arms flared outwards away from the torso, whilst leaning the torso forwards, results in greater stress to the chest during the exercise, whilst minimising triceps involvement. If the chest dip is being performed to target the chest then this form should be followed. To shift stress away from the chest and onto the triceps tuck the upper arms into the side of the torso whilst executing the dip, and ensure the torso remains upright. This form could be followed when exercising the triceps, and implementing into an arm workout.

The free hanging dip using bodyweight not be suitable for everyone, with beginners often lagging the level of strength needed to perform the required number of repetitions. There are a number of options available for those who lack the sufficient strength required. The first option is to use a dipping machine if there is such a machine located at your gym. The dipping machine allows for progression with an incremental weight stack, providing the trainer with a means of working up to their own bodyweight. Once the machine dip can be performed with the equivalent bodyweight then the switch can be made to the free hanging dips. Another possibility is the use of negative repetitions. This would involve only performing the lowering phrase of the dip in a slow and controlled manner using bodyweight, whilst not performing the ascending phrase. Negative can drastically improve strength.

The dip is a compound exercise which is suitable for relatively low repetitions. Strength gains can be made with a repetition range below eight repetitions. Those who seek gains in muscle strength would likely advance best with a repetition range between eight and twelve per set. Repetitions higher than twelve will aid in muscle endurance.

We see many famous people losing oodles of weight and then regaining all the weight very soon.

Many dieters find themselves in this trap of dieting to lose weight, only to have the pounds return and refuse to come off a second time. Why does this happen?

There are several reasons, including diet induced hypothyroidism (low thyroid function,) other diet induced metabolic imbalances, loss of lean tissues as well as metabolic individuality.

It helps to understand the three metabolic body types and the fat metabolism.

Before beginning any sort of dieting program, it is a good idea to consider why a change is desirable. There could be several reasons, such as beauty, health and others. The most unrealistic expectation concerns the appearance. All the models or actresses that we see on TV possess the natural body types of only a small percentage of people – they are not most of us. It is a good idea to find the ideal body weight, which is a healthful and sustainable weight that suits one’s own metabolic individuality.

Physiology divides the body types into three general categories: ectomorphs (naturally slender), mesomorphs (large boned and muscular) and endomorphs (put on weight easily.) These body types are inherited.

Since it is not possible to change the body types, it is unrealistic to expect any diet program to change our body type.

Obesity can occur in any of these body types. If obese, realistic goals can be set to lose excess weight by undergoing a program consisting of a good diet along with a proper exercise program. You may not be svelte like that model on the TV, if you don’t belong to that body type, but you will be healthy, which is what we should all be looking to achieve.
