Tuscany Lighting – It's Good to Be at Home

Tuscany lighting has soft qualities and it grants a gorgeous appearance to your home at dawn or dusk. You can use it in the morning muted. You can have Tuscany candle holders at night to enhance the joyous moments in the outdoor dinner parties. Tuscany decoration with light can help to set the romantic mood and you can plan for an enthusiastic garden party. It offers an inviting ambiance and warm feeling to the guests.

You can add some other themes to enhance the Tuscany home decor. You can use the details of grapes, olives, rolled ironwork, earthy tones like olive green and terracotta and Italian garden scenes. You can add textures like maple, tapestry or ceramic tile, which can increase the Tuscany feel.

You can put a Tuscany Motif to your rooms by including wrought iron lighting. The wrought iron chandelier hanging in the dining room or bedroom can provide a beautiful backdrop for all your parties and get together.

You can add Tuscany Outdoor lighting to your garden. Tuscany inspired candelabra is the most fascinating way to enhance the feel. You can include candles and can plan a fabulous outdoor meal. Black wrought iron can offer that elegant appearance.

While planning Tuscan home decor, you need to pay attention to every single detail. You can get inspirations from ornate tapestries or designs in the Tuscan lighting. You can even pick up designs from natural details like clusters of grapes or branches of olive tree. The iron scroll work chandeliers can be accented with fascinating details like tear drop crystals. The most interesting feature of Tuscan-inspired lighting is its versatility. You can decorate it any way that you wish. You can select formal or informal appearance. Everything suits your Tuscan home decor.

You can add more colors to enhance the Tuscan decoration. You can go for wall sconces. Wall sconces having floral details painted on them offer a royal look to your living room. A rustic style table lamp or hurricane lamp can increase the charm of the room. If you want to give more details, you can select large pendant lamps. You can hang them off a wrought iron chandelier base. Beige or off-white color can augment the entire appearance of the room.

It is advisable to select Tuscan table lamps with plain paper shades. Choosing some inspiring earthy colors like olive green, apricot or gold can add an artistic look to the room. Planning Tuscan home decor is not appealing but also very simple. A little effort can help you bring life to your home.

Using Your Fingers To Help Children Learn Speech And Language

Your fingers can be powerful tools to help your young child develop speech and language. Following are three ideas that I have found to be helpful in my speech-language therapy practice. I hope you find them helpful too.

Finger Cueing

Finger cueing will help your child to watch the movement of your lips and tongue to see how sounds are made. Gently tap your lip with your index finger as you say words for your child. For short words tap once for every sound. For longer words tap once for every syllable.

Finger Pacing

Finger pacing will help your child: 1. Put more words together and 2. Understand more of what you say. As you are talking hold up one finger at a time for each word that you say. This helps your child to see how to put words together and to see that your sentences are made up of separate words. The more you do this the easier it gets.

To do finger pacing and cueing at the same time use repetition. Say either the single word with finger cueing first and then say the word in a phrase with finger pacing or the other way around. Either way the more you repeat the more your child will learn.

Expansion

Expansion helps your child put more words together. When your child says a single word say two words back. For example if your child says, “ball” say back “red ball”, “my ball”, “ball gone” whatever fits. When your child says two words say back three, and so on. To make this more powerful use Finger Pacing as you say back the words.

I hope these ideas help. You’ll be amazed at what your fingers can do!

How To Implement Speech Therapy During The Summer Months

For children who have problems with articulation, it is important to get as much speech and language practice as possible. This often means that parents need to plan some activities while their child is out of school for the summer to help prevent any regression or delay in their progress. The great thing about speech therapy is that it can be done virtually anywhere, from the backyard to a summer vacation. Some of the best skill-building techniques can be made into fun activities that the child will enjoy doing. The following are some examples of games to play with children to enhance their abilities.

Play In The Sand

Nothing illustrates summertime better than sand, whether it is at the beach or in a sandbox in the backyard. While children are playing with their sand toys, take the opportunity to turn it into an activity that will help with their language skills. Bury some small toys in the sand for the children to find. As they pull them out of the sand, have them say the word for the object before they place it in their sand buckets. If this game is done at the beach, be sure to do this activity in a small area, and do not bury the objects too deep, or it could become frustrating for the children.

Road Trip Games

If the family is taking a summer road trip, think of some different language games that can be played on the way. Games using word and letter sounds, like the “license plate game” or the “ABC game,” can be both fun and educational. Have the child name objects that he or she sees that make the “k” sound, for instance. Include the entire family in this game, as it can be really fun and challenging.

Sidewalk Chalk

Summer is an ideal time to play outside, and many children enjoy drawing on the sidewalk or driveway with chalk. Think of different games that the family can play together, such as hopscotch with letters instead of numbers. Another idea is to have the children lie on the driveway (when it is cool, of course) and outline each other. Then have the children name items of clothing or accessories as they draw and color them in. The child could also just draw pictures of objects and name the letters and sounds of each item. The chalking options are limitless.

Read Books

Few things are better for a child than reading. It is even more essential for a child needing speech therapy to read along with a parent in order to work on his or her skills. During the hot part of summer days, gather the child with a favorite picture book and have him or her tell you a story using what he or she sees in the book. Have the child articulate the words they are using.

Speech therapy is very important for the development of language skills in many children, so it is crucial not to miss out during the summer months. Take some time before school is dismissed to come up with some ideas to enhance the child’s articulation skills.

What Stuttering Cures Are Available?

Stuttering is a very common issue, with it affecting approximately one per cent of the world’s population and tends to affect more males than females. Despite a lot of research and studies through the years, no cure has yet been found, and suspicions should always be aroused if there are claims contrary to this. Despite this, with a lot of work and attention, there are a lot of therapies and programs that will assist in managing the problem and working towards reducing its effect on daily life.

Therapy for stuttering depends largely on the personal needs and circumstances of the patient. The number and length of each session, will be determined according to whether intensive or non-intensive courses are necessary and whether. Both types of course may consist of individual consultations or group sessions. Or a mixture of both. Non-intensive therapy will tend to be a weekly program, consisting of hour long sessions. Intensive therapy courses could be as much as six hours each day, over a short period of time.

The type of therapy offered will also vary, according to the needs of the individual and what is most likely to produce the most successful results.

Avoidance Reduction Therapy, designed by US therapist who stutters, Joseph Sheehan, aims to reduce instances of the patient trying to avoid the issue. Believing the problem is worsened by pretending no issue exists, this hopes to reduce the fear and actively enter challenging situations.

Block Modification is a course of therapy designed to challenge the sufferer to look at their attitude to their problem, and how their behavior is affected. Developed by another US therapist and stutterer, Charles Van Riper, it follows five stages:

   1.      Identification of what you do when stuttering and when avoiding stuttering, and your attitude and feelings to both situation.

   2.      Desensitisation: to the fear and sensitivity caused by stuttering.

   3.      Variation in your approach to dealing with stuttering .

   4.      Modification to aid more fluency when stuttering.

   5.      Stabilisation the progress you have made and avoid relapsing.

Fluency Modification hopes to carefully teach a new approach to speech. By manipulating and modifying patterns. Techniques included in such therapy include concentrating on breathing regulation and more pronounced articulation. These tend to be effectively and swiftly taught, but can be difficult to maintain away from a clinical environment.

Often stuttering and the causes of stuttering are diagnosed through therapy session as being more of a psychological issue than physical one. Often working together with the above therapies, a series of approaches can be tried, which could, in essence cure the problem.

Personal Construct Therapy helps the to understand the psychological effects that stuttering has on the patients life. Carefully exploring attitudes and experimenting with responses a more positive attitude is developed to confront the issue, to better apply additional treatments.

Counseling can be an effective approach. By discussing negative emotions an experiences in the past, it can help to unlock the driving forces behind the issue. Allowing for better understanding of the cause, can greatly improve other treatments being a success and prevent relapse. An extended course of treatment is usually required.

Cognitive Therapy is generally a short term treatment, aiming to help the patient identify the thought process they go on to instigate the problem. Very much designed to promote self-help techniques, it teaches methods for stepping away from the situation in the third-person and analyzing what is going on.

There are other approaches available, so it is always best to approach a trained speech and language therapist to discuss options with you, to ensure the best care and attention is received.

Speaking in Your Ideal Pitch Range

When individuals judge their voice they are usually commenting on the quality of their pitch. The concept of how pitch is defined can be easily misunderstood. On a technical and scientific level, vocal pitch is described as how the vocal chords vibrate together to create sound. For a non-technical individual, pitch is often perceived as how the voice sounds. For example, the pitch being too high, low, wavering or sounding thin or weak. Learning to speak in your ideal pitch range is important for presenting with strong, rich tones that are aesthetically pleasing for your listener. Describe your current pitch style to strengthen your awareness.

Voice therapists describe two different types of pitch, habitual and optimal. Habitual pitch is your regular and consistent tone of voice. It is the pitch you use automatically for speaking but it may not necessarily be your best vocal quality. Optimal pitch produces a rich and pure tone where the muscles of the vocal mechanism function at their best to produce an ideal quality voice with natural projection. Speaking in your optimal pitch range would be preferred for professional speech and voice since that is where the most vibrant and resonant tones are produced.

If there is a significant difference between your habitual and optimal pitch it is most likely due to the fact that you find it easier and more comfortable speaking with your habitual pitch range. This is the pitch level most people use automatically. Many speakers with a high, thin or nasal sounding pitch are speaking from their habitual pitch range. Learning to speak from your optimal pitch level is an easy adjustment to make and the benefits will significantly improve your voice and professional image.

Finding Your Optimal Pitch Range

The Uh-Huh Trick

Produce the word “Uh-Huh” naturally and comfortably. Move down in your pitch when you say it. Say it 3 times. When you are saying the word, “Uh-Huh” you are producing your optimal and ideal pitch range. The “Uh” is the upper limit for optimal pitch and the “Huh” is the lower limit for this range. Be aware that this is a pitch range and it should fluctuate.

The key is to consistently speak comfortably within your optimal pitch range. The most resonant voice with good tone quality will come from the “Uh-Huh” range. When individuals speak below their optimal pitch limit, a low tone or strained voice can be heard. When individuals speak above their optimal pitch limit the result is a voice with a higher pitch, thinner sounding tone with more nasal resonance that can be unpleasant for the listener. Speaking from your optimal pitch will allow you to produce a rich tone quality with natural projection that will give you command of your voice to persuade, lead and radiate confidence.

Using a Piano

Another approach for finding your optimal pitch is using a piano. With an open and relaxed throat produce the sound, “Ah”. Play each note down the scale until you have reached the lowest comfortable note you can produce with ease. From that note, move up 3-4 notes. The range of the 3-4 notes is your optimal pitch range. You will recognize your optimal pitch because your tone quality will be strong, resonant and physically comfortable to produce.

Initial Pitch Practice

Now that you are familiar with your optimal pitch range, experiment with your new tone. Say “ummm-hmmm” with deliberate intensity and volume. This humming sound produces your natural and optimal pitch just like the “uh-huh” pitch pattern. Producing this sound will create a vibrating buzz in your nose and around your lips. Touch your lips and nose with your fingers to feel the buzz. Produce this hum a few times to familiarize yourself with the tone. When you are speaking with your optimal pitch range a subtle buzz will always be present.

Note: Producing “ummm-hmmm” has the same affect for finding your ideal voice as the “uh-huh” trick. This is another quick and subtle technique for finding your optimal pitch range before you begin talking.

Pitch Practice Using Single Words

Begin practice with producing single words in your optimal pitch range.

o On a full breath from your diaphragm, count aloud:

Uh-huh one, Uh-huh two, Uh-huh three….. until 10

This will assist you with speaking single words from your ideal pitch range.

o Produce the words below in your pitch range. Place your fingers around your lips and nose.

If you are in your optimal pitch range a subtle buzz should be detected.

Hello No Monopoly Experiment

Right Run Minnesota Refrigerator

Beautiful Happy Apartment Particular

o Select a word and insert it into the “Uh-Huh counting pattern

Right-one, Right-two, Right-three…..until 10

Beautiful-one, Beautiful-two, Beautiful-three…..until 10

Pitch Practice at the Sentence Level

o Practice with connected speech. Remember diaphragm breathing!

Select a word from above and say it in a sentence that you create.

For example, “I am happy to be speaking using my ideal voice.” Creating your own sentences will help you keep your practice more spontaneous and simulate natural conversation.

Spontaneous Speech Practice

o Using your ideal voice and proper diaphragm breathing, produce a short story using 2-3 sentences about:

-A New York City cab driver and an anxious tourist

-A sea lion and a scuba diver

-China Town and a feisty lobster

-A lottery ticket and a cold day in winter

-A crooked chef and a smart FBI agent

Note: Notice how diaphragm breathing and speaking in your optimal pitch range generates natural projection and richer vocal tones.

Don’t Be Alarmed! Are these new voice habits causing you to feel like you are speaking with excessive loudness? Don’t worry. Your volume is appropriate. You are receiving some internal feedback from how your sound waves are resonating in your throat and oral cavity. This can create the perception that you are being too loud when in fact you are speaking with rich full tones that project naturally. This is your new voice which may require some time getting used to it. If you continue to have concerns ask a friend if they feel you are speaking too loudly. Chances are they will report that you sound great.

Real World Practice

Listed below are suggested activities where you can practice speaking in your new ideal and optimal pitch range. When speaking at the sentence level remember to speak on a diaphragm breath, maintain a relaxed throat and speak in your perfect pitch.

1. Produce your ideal voice with proper breathing during all of your morning greetings to co-workers or anyone you would like to greet.

2. Produce your ideal voice with proper breathing while you are speaking on the phone. Place a note near the phone to prompt you. This is a great opportunity to speak at the conversational level while incorporating your new voice skills.

3. Order coffee or any food item using your ideal voice. Lunch is a great time

4. Speak using your new voice at every meal you share with someone.

5. Make an association where you can associate a practice opportunity with a simple daily activity such as speaking in a meeting, greeting a certain co-worker or client, speaking to an employee from the dry cleaners or convenience store. Organize in your mind a regularly occurring event or person where you can use that opportunity to remind yourself to practice.

Identify 3 opportunities where you can associate a practice opportunity in your regular routine.

Bare Copper – Is There a Reason For Copper Wire Without Insulation?

There are different reasons for all types of wire and cable including bare copper. Sometimes wire has insulation and sometimes it doesn’t for specific reasons. Engineers work hard to provide a type of wire for every application out there with approvals to go with it.

Bare copper is also known as a ground wire. It is not insulated at all so it has no protection. It is mostly used in homes as a ground wire and has the best conductivity without insulation. So as long as it isn’t going outdoors then electrical contractors don’t mind using it.

Bare copper is also the base for most types of wire and cable. It comes solid or in smaller awg sizes wrapped together to equal the same gauge. Using the smaller awg sizes gives the wire more flexibility to bend around corners. You might think that you would always need the most flexible because it could only be better but that’s not always the case. Sometimes electrical contractors need it to be more stiff so they can send it a long way through conduit.

A green THHN wire is also known as a ground wire when the wire needs to be outdoors. Green calls out the fact the THHN is a ground wire and the reason for the insulation is so it has protection against moisture. It can then go outdoors and in conduit while it still acts as a ground wire. The reason for using it indoors without insulation is simply because it’s cheaper. Sometimes you might see this wire with a yellow stripe as well.

There isn’t always a ground wire in every cable. If you need one then I recommend talking to your cable sales person and making sure they know that as well. Most companies that supply wire also supply the bare copper so you shouldn’t have a problem getting it if you need it. You can usually request a specification sheet to make sure you are getting the exact cable you are looking for.

What Is Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is a plastic surgery procedure which is done to improve the function or appearance of an individual's nose. Rhinoplasty is commonly referred to as "nose job" and can be performed to meet aesthetic goals or for reconstructive purposes.

So where did rhinoplasty first begin? It was a procedure that was first developed by the Indian physician Sushruta, often regarded as the "father of plastic surgery" (circa 500 BC). Sashruta used rhinoplasty to reconstruct noses which were amputed as punishment for crimes.

When a rhinoplasty is performed, the dorsal bone is reduced and there is a re-setting and refinement of nasal tip cartilage. A nose job procedure can be performed with a local anesthetic or under general anesthesia. Incisions are made on the inside of the nostrils and occasionally a tiny incision is also made on the bit of skin separating the nostrils. First, the surgeon separates the soft tissues of the nose from the underlying structures, then proceeds to reshape the cartilage and bone.

Rhinoplasty procedures are not considered as being painful procedures, and most people stay home for a week to recover. If external sutures are present, they're removed approximately 4 to 5 days post surgery and the external cast is removed after a week. Any brusing usually improves after week two and swings goes down after a few months. One can expect some settling and shifting of the nose for the first year.

Although there are some risks associated with having a rhinoplasty done, it is a procedure that is typically viewed as safe.

5 Mantras To Insure Business Success

Several years ago my husband married me as I lay in bed terrified my business was going to fail – not from anything I was done, but because none of my clients could pay me.

Or had I done something?

I had allowed myself to create a business which came from a place of lack. I had a scarcity mindset and, as a result, had attracted that same type of client.

That night I made several decisions:

1. My business would NOT fail.

Once I stated this as a fact, rather a desire, my path became clear. I created a roadmap to success and followed it every step of the way.

2. I would marry belief and action.

While I believed in the Law of Attraction, I had never married that belief with concrete action. Doing so allowed me to come from a place of true authenticity which, in turn, attracted my ideal clients.

3. I would embrace the concept of abundance.

I had an inbox full of emails with information (new strategies and such) "in case I needed them someday". I learned to embrace the theory of abundance and KNOW that the information would be there when I needed it.

The day I hit "delete" on over 1,000 "cutting edge" business strategies is the day I became free.

4. I would learn to laser focus.

My curse (and blessing) as an entrepreneur was that I always had a new great idea and almost never * fully * completed any of them.

I started keeping an "idea notebook" on my desk for all those great ideas – I write and then go back to what I focused on and the ideas are there for when I want them.

5. I would read / listen to all the programs I had bought.

I had invested thousands upon thousands of dollars in programs which would help me succeed.

Once the programs arrived however (they always took longer than I wanted), I was busy with something else and "would get to it".

I set aside time each week to go through this material and committed to not purchasing anything new until I was sure I had scheduled the time to go through it.

The result of these five decisions? My practice filled to capacity, my income increased significantly and I had become consistent in my thoughts and actions.

Your Coaching Challenge

This week's coaching challenge is a little different from the norm in that I'm asking you to do a couple of things – both which will propel your business forward.

I'd like you to choose ONE thing for your business which needs * completing *, set some time and focus on that item until it's done.

I'd also like you to commit to take action on this, and every other email you receive WHEN you receive it and then delete it without you must save for business reasons which have nothing to do with hoarding information.

You'll be amazed at the time AND energy you free up just by implementing these two strategies.

World Keratoconus Day 2017

World Keratoconus Day is a chance to raise extra awareness of the disease and this year falls on 10th November. Keratoconus is a disease of the cornea which is progressive but non-inflammatory. Keratoconus is caused by weakening of the collagen fibres which would normally maintain the cornea’s dome-like shape. With this disease the weakened cornea starts to thin, change shape and bulge outwards. This bulging and thinning causes the cornea to form a gradual cone shape which can severely affect vision.

An initial sign of keratoconus is often changes in prescription. Also, many patients experience visual disturbances such as glare, halos and double vision which is due to the cornea changing shape. Overtime patients with keratoconus notice their vision starts to become distorted and blurry, and as this is a progressive disease, these visual symptoms become worse. Many patients with keratoconus tend to be very near-sighted with a high level of astigmatism. Initially glasses and contact lenses may help with the visual changes but as the disease gets worse glasses and contact lenses lose their helpful effects. Opticians tend to refer a patient on to an ophthalmologist if these signs start to occur and worsen, the ophthalmologist will then diagnose the condition and devise a treatment plan.

Keratoconus can occur for many reasons, but the cause is still unknown. The disease can run in families and may develop from an early age, for this reason it is recommended getting children’s eyes checked by an ophthalmologist if the disease does run in the family. It may also develop at a later age due to; chronic eye rubbing or laser eye surgery (called ectasia) for example. There are also some other medical conditions where a patient may be more likely to develop keratoconus such as; retinitis pigmentosa, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and Down’s syndrome.

Treatment for keratoconus varies due to the severity of the disease. As mentioned above glasses or soft contact lenses are initially recommended to help with the visual changes, but as the disease progresses switching to hard or other specialist contact lenses may be favourable to get better vision. These type of contact lenses must be correctly fitted and having follow ups to monitor the vision and status of the cornea is essential. If glasses and different types of contact lenses do not work, and as the disease continues to develop, a procedure called corneal collagen cross linking may be advised by a corneal doctor. This procedure, now recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), helps to slow or stop disease progression. It works by using an ultraviolet light and riboflavin (vitamin B2), to help build and straighten the weakened collagen fibres by creating more cross linking between the fibres of the cornea, making it stronger and more ridged. Corneal collagen cross linking can be done on children and adults alike and is fast becoming ophthalmologists procedure of choice to treat keratoconus due to its safety and efficacy. Other options for treating keratoconus can also include corneal ring implants, which helps to support the cornea’s natural shape, and phototherapeutic keratoplasty (PTK) may also be suggested. If the disease is too advanced and severe the treatments above may not help, and the only option may be for the patient to have a corneal transplant, this can either be a partial or full thickness transplant and only used as a last resort if other treatments cannot help.

Keratoconus is a serious eye disease and can be blinding if not monitored and treated correctly. Currently there are no cures for the disease and the only treatment to help slow or stop keratoconus is corneal collagen cross linking. It is advised that patients, adults and children, with keratoconus or suspected keratoconus attend their follow up appointments and keep to the advice of their optician or eye doctor.

Understanding How Acupuncture Can Heal Your Brain and Quantum Brain Healing

Understanding acupuncture and how it can improve your brain health is key to preventing death or damage to brain cells. Acupuncture can stop pain, balance neurotransmitters to end depression and mood disorders, and reduce inflammation. There is current research which demonstrates the ability of acupuncture to inhibit death of neurons in the hippocampus and cerebral cortex. Acupuncture is clearly able to alter the levels of neurotransmitters in the brain. Scalp, auricular, body and laser acupuncture treatment can reduce ischemia-induced apoptosis and is a therapy for recovery from ischemic cerebral injury and many other brain injuries or diseases. Scalp or auricular acupuncture are great to heal the brain and often used in Quantum Brain Healing.

This can be further enhanced with the addition of individual herbs or herbal formulas. It is extremely important to add single herbs one at a time to your regimen so that it is possible to isolate any herb which works extremely well or has an undesired impact. There can be interaction between herbs and nutritional supplements so that their effect is potentiated.

Scalp acupuncture is a specialized form of acupuncture which occurs on the head. The head has many acupuncture points which are located on the stomach, urinary bladder, gallbladder, triple burner and Du meridians Scalp acupuncture differs from traditional body style acupuncture. There are zones which are identified for treating sensory, motor, and memory. Scalp acupuncture is extremely effective for motor and sensory brain dysfunctions including multiple sclerosis, Bell’s palsy, peripheral neuropathy, migraine headache. Scalp acupuncture often utilizes a slightly thicker diameter needle. Electro-stimulation can be incorporated into scalp acupuncture for treatment of difficult cases.

Scientists from University College London, Southampton University and the University of York, discovered that superficial acupuncture needling triggered activation of the motor areas of the cortex and deep acupuncture needling activated the limbic system and resulted in deactivation of the perception of pain. Acupuncture activates the part of the brain which is involved in the production of natural opiates. Opiates are the body’s own substance that relieves pain.Acupuncture also activates the insular in the cerebral cortex area of the brain and is involved in pain control. The brain has several cortical areas which are involved in pain processing. They include the primary somatosensory cortex, the secondary somatosensory cortex, the insula, the anterior cingulate, and the prefrontal cortex, as well as the hypothalamus and periaqueductal gray (PAG). Other brain areas involved in pain are prefrontal inferior parietal and premotor cortices, thalamus insula, primary somatosensory cortex, and the ipsilateral perigenual cingulate cortex. Stimulation of points with electroacupuncture significantly activated the hypothalamus, primary somatosensory motor cortex, and rostral anterior cingulate cortex. The hypothalamus and limbic system modulated the effects of electroacupuncture as an analgesic in a fairly non-specific manner.

Electro-acupuncture can use different frequencies to activate endogenous opioids in the spinal cord and central nervous system. Electric stimulation at a frequency of 2 Hz has been used to increase opioid production. Acupuncture can prevent or reduce post stroke brain function deterioration in the hippocampus. Myocardial turnover of endogenous opioids and calcitonin-gene-related peptide in the human heart and the effects of spinal cord stimulation on pacing-induced angina pectoris. Acupuncture is successfully used to treat convulsions and epileptic seizures. The anticonvulsant effect of acupuncture might be related to the decrease of neuronal nitric oxide synthases.

Recent studies show that specific areas of brain are activated or deactivated when specific traditional Chinese acupuncture points are needled. The acupuncture effect is highly predictable. Acupuncture points associated with hearing and vision stimulates the visual and auditory cerebral areas. The brain activity can be influenced by the acupuncture point chosen, the length of time the needles remain in place, the type of action or stimulation applied to the needle, and the length and diameter of the needle. Small retaining needles can be used to stimulate the acupuncture points for a longer period of time. Moxa and electro-therapy can be used to further stimulate the brain during acupuncture.

Cold laser therapy is similar to needle puncture and occurs when a laser is directed at the acupuncture point for a prescribed optimal amount of energy. Acupuncture laser therapy is effective for muscle tears, muscle fatigue, non-healing diabetic ulcers, bone fractures, acne, pain, stimulation of collagen growth, skin damage, bacterial sinus infections, gout, torn ligaments, psoriasis, tunnel carpel syndrome, neuropathy associated with alcoholism, chronic rheumatoid arthritis, subacute and chronic adnexitis, addictions, and anti-aging facial treatments. The cold laser therapy is the best way to treat torn or damaged ligaments and tendons. It is non-invasive and does not impair microcirculation to area of the damage. It speeds recovery by months or weeks depending on the severity of the injury.

Debt Problems – You Can Laugh at Them if You Follow This Simple Spiritual Plan

We’ll start the engines today by looking at a popular scripture the book of Luke 6:38

Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” NKJ

Please take these 2 prayer points with fire in your spirit:

o I retrieve all my properties from satanic banks in the name of Jesus

o O Lord restore seven-fold everything I have lost as a result of spiritual ignorance.

The Bishop and the Vision

I know a bishop who wanted to build a 50,000 seat worship hall in 1999. The unusual thing about it was… he expected to do it from start to finish without borrowing a dime from anyone… not even from the bank.

He also set a target of 12 months for completion.

Now this kind of project had never before been undertaken by anyone in his part of the world. So everyone watched with interest… expecting him to fail.

Well he did not just succeed… he succeeded brilliantly.

The entire project, which took the size of 4 football fields, was completed in 11 months – one month ahead of schedule!

And this happened in a place, a geography where as much as 90% of the people were living far below the poverty line.

He has since made further progress and established a full-fledged university there.

Such “impossible” feats excite me… so I decided to dig a little into the background of this bishop to learn how he did it.

Here’s a few of the interesting facts I uncovered:

o This man of God is a chronic, incurable giver. He has been that way for 30 years. There’s a story of how he gave away the only money his wife had reserved to buy baby food for their 6-month-old infant… to a church member who had an urgent financial need!

o Half of that time (30 years) he and his family were living in abject poverty… and he kept right on giving.

o Before his ministry exploded in signs and wonders he was fasting every day for 3 years (yes, you read that right).

o His might just be one of the longest dining tables around – it’s designed to sit at least 40 people at a time. And at least 40 people have lunch in his home every single day … as we speak.

That’s right. This man lives and breathes the well-known message we’ve all heard, “You can’t out-give God.”

What sets him apart however is that he doesn’t just stop there.

He takes things to the next level… and herein lies a deep secret.

The Next Level

He creates relationships… with people big and small, poor and rich, young and old.

He believes that essentially all relationships in life act like “arteries” or pipelines in the spiritual realm.

For instance when God blesses you He usually does it through someone. The relationship with that person is really the pipeline through which the blessings come to you.

Relationships are the key to everything!

No wonder the Lord Jesus said we should do unto others as we want them to do to us.

When they asked Him (Jesus) about the greatest commandment in the book He gave them two:

The first is about relationship… with God

The second is about relationship … with people

Please pay close attention here:

All your relationships are pipelines through which God will use to bless you.

But a blockage can occur in a relationship.

For instance a blockage can occur in a marriage relationship. When this particular artery is blocked, love and passion can no longer flow between a husband and wife.

Call it a heart attack, or a death in a marriage.

Your various business relationships are also arteries… connecting employers and employees, bosses and staff, sellers and buyers.

The money that flows to you through your business transactions or the work you do travels through these arteries.

When they are clogged… then money fails to flow to you.

In many cases severe blockages might also transfer into the physical arteries of the body… resulting in physical illness.

All the relationships between people, between business partners, between husband and wife, between brother and sister, between parents and children – are spiritual arteries that can become blocked and cause “disease.”

Each time you interact with someone in your life – friend or stranger, family member, fellow worker – please remember that you are affecting the arteries in your life that extends out into the world… the exact same pipelines that blessings will flow through to you.

If you fail to watch over the relationships in your life… and allow blockages to continue to grow unchecked… “disease” might set in.

This disease can manifest itself as:

Debt

Poverty

Divorce

Kids on drugs

Anxiety

A dysfunctional family

Or even a heart attack

Any of these can happen –

– in spite of your praying

– in spite of your giving

If you do everything else right but allow blockages in your relationships your miracles may not manifest speedily enough.

At this level please close your eyes and take these prayers with a holy cry unto the Lord:

o Fire of God burn away every blockage in my spiritual pipes in the name of Jesus

o Every power creating relationship problems in my life, be buried be buried be buried in the mighty name of Jesus.

o Anything in my life scaring away my divine helpers, get out now in the name of Jesus.

You now understand why the Bible warns us about things like anger, evil communication, gossip, hatred, envy, bitterness, unforgiveness, jealousy, etc.?

It is for our own good!

Letting go of anger, revenge, envy, worry, fear, etc. and working earnestly to build sound relationships is a crucial secret to getting your desires to flow into your life… day in day out.

If you are serious about praying to get out of debt, you will have to watch what you say about others… and how you react when others say terrible things about you.

And remember what I’ve said here:

o Create relationships and build bridges of understanding with folks you meet everyday.

o Give of your substance… and your time – be generous, so the channels can open and stay open.

Now here are the rest of the prayers to get out of debt.

o O Lord send me divine counselors who can help me with my finances

o Father, show me what to do so that financial crisis would not arise again in my business in the name of Jesus.

o Father, help me to formulate a plan of recovery to get me out of debt in Jesus’ name.

o Lord, give me wisdom to avoid unfavorable business situations in the name of Jesus.

o Lord, help me to erect safeguards to prevent financial failure.

o O Lord, create new and profitable opportunities for me.

o I refuse to be a borrower. I shall lend to many nations in the name of Jesus.

o I bind every spirit of impulse buying and worthless acquisitions in Jesus’ name

o Every spirit of greed operating in my life I bind and cast you out in the name of Jesus.

o All my money that has been siphoned away spiritually be restored to me 7-fold in the name of Jesus.

o Every power delaying my miracles be paralyzed in the name of Jesus.

o Anything in the spirit realm casting an evil eye on my life, receive total blindness in the name of Jesus.

o O Lord, begin to use those around me to bless me in a powerful new way in Jesus’ name.

Natural Healing Methods of Bad Vision

Bad eyesight has many reasons that involve several aspects of human body. In most cases, eyeglasses, contact lenses or eye surgeries will be used to correct eye problems. However, there are still other ways to improve eyesight if people know more about the causes of vision deterioration.

Some people consider eyesight as hereditary determined, which is not true in most cases. In fact, contributors of bad eyesight can be excess pressure, stress, mental strain, tension and poor eating habits and so on. There are a lot of eye problems now, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, cross-eye, lazy-eye, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, retinal disorders and floating specks etc.

With proper means, people with visual disabilities can improve their vision at varying degrees. These methods are unlike eyewear and eye surgeries. They are called natural healing methods. Some of them involve kinds of exercises every day, including "palming" exercise, eye exercises with charts, swinging exercise and massaging the areas around the eyes. There are still other helpful means, such as more relaxation, water splashing on the face, pendulum practice, more laugh, covering a dark cloth on the eyes before going to bed, eating more fruits and vegetables, wearing pinhole glasses around the house and so on.

People who want to improve eyesight can select some of the listed items that they favor. They are needless to take all these methods. Maintaining some of them on a daily basis, their vision can improve rapidly. In some people, vision improvement occurs within a period of two weeks.

Just What Is UV Protection On Sunglasses And Why Is It Important

Sunglasses are great in more ways than one. They can compliment your appearance while preventing you to have to squint while outside on a sunny day. But sunglasses are not simply a fashion accessory to be taken lightly. They are actually of major importance for protecting our eyes from the sun’s UV rays which can lead to diseases of the eye when exposed to them over time.

The ultraviolet radiation element in sunlight is divided in two basic areas – UVA and UVB. Sunglasses block both of these types of rays. What exactly is UVA and UVB you ask? Well, UVA represents the ultraviolet radiation that passes through the Earth’s ozone layer, reaches our skin and can lead to premature aging. UVB are also ultraviolet rays, but are absorbed, in great amount, by the ozone layer. Still, they are very harmful and can contribute to the cause of skin cancer and cataracts.

The lenses of a pair of sunglasses should be dark enough to reduce the glare of bright light, but not so dark that they distort colors in objects, and obviously not so dark that they inhibit your vision. The point is that as long as the lenses are properly tinted, your eyes will be protected. You don’t have to go ‘crazy’ looking for lenses that are so dark that they not only block out the sun’s UV rays, but block out the actual sun itself.

The standard UV protectant level in the sunglass industry is UV400 – across the board – which protects the eyes from 98 per cent of the sun’s ultraviolet rays. And statistics based on testing results from inexpensive sunglasses as compared to the more expensive brands show that even sunglasses in the $5 and below range, provide the same amount of protection as the more costly varieties. So, the good news is, you don’t have to pay more for the best level of protection. And for those who wear prescription sunglasses, something else you might be interested in knowing is that the UV level is the same for both those and the store bought versions.

And for even further comfort and assurance, you might be happy to know that sunglass manufacturers have to follow certain FDA regulations. They have to comply with impact requirements – not saying that sunglasses must be completely shatterproof, but that they will at best, withstand a moderate impact. Sunglass manufacturers also have to follow labeling regulations. No doubt if you’ve ever bought a pair of sunglasses in your lifetime, you’ve had to peal that removable sticker off the front of one of the lenses either before you put them on or afterward when you realize that something’s obstructing your view.

They say you get what you pay for. Well, if you pay for a pair of sunglasses, you’re paying for good eye health.

Mini-Retirement: You Can Boost Your Productivity With Small Travels

Ever had the opportunity of attending a party meant for retirees? These are parties that are organized for people who are at least 60 years old. With their working days over, all they think of is how they can play golf or perhaps get a condo at the beach.

I may not be such a great fan of golf, and I am already living at the beach, but there is nothing like missing in action for a while. I had recently undertaken a seven month trip to Europe for that single reason.

Majority of persons will likely call my trip an extended vacation, but I instead see it as a mini-retirement. I got maximum satisfaction from my visit to Europe which is unlike what most tourists do because they don’t take out time to enjoy their stay. If this is your first time of coming across the word, then let me tell you what it is and how it can be of help to you.

With mini-retirements life always has more to offer you

Vacations are different from mini-retirements it is because while holidays are short, these are very long. It is any trip between one month and six months, though I spent up to seven months in my case. During my mini-retirement, I had the opportunity of participating in so many European activities.

How to plan for a mini-retirement

Planning your first mini-retirement, know your objectives, and it is very essential. That was how I got off with mine. I never rushed the process. I made up my mind that Europe was a place to go and spend some time. As such, I had to work very hard for my dream to come true. I had to be 100% sure my online businesses were running as I expected, coupled with enough savings to help me foot any unexpected bills.

With the current harsh economic climate, it is challenging trying to plan for a one. But nothing good comes easy. Therefore I think now is a good time to start planning in this regards.

Enjoying your life to its fullest

My reason for trading my corporate life for being on the internet is because I want to live it to the fullest. Being your boss is all you want in life. I intend to take another mini-retirement if I have the cash. And a trip to the Croatian / Greek island or a road trip in the U.S will be just perfect. I have a feeling I can equally make this happen since my first ever plan was a complete success. Hence, am ready to work hard now so I can make it happen.

The Difference Between AutoCAD and SolidWorks

SolidWorks is what we call a “parametric” solid modeller used for 3-D design. Parametric means that the dimensions can have relationships between one another and can be changed at any point during the design process to automatically alter the solid part and any related documentation (blueprint). AutoCAD, however, is primarily a 2-D design tool with some, but limited 3-D capabilities. It is very simple compared to any parametric solid modeller (although 3D is improved in AutoCAD 2007). Autodesk (the manufacturer of AutoCAD) makes a product that is nearly identical to SolidWorks, called Inventor, which is a parametric program for design of solid parts and assemblies.

SolidWorks is a 3D mechanical CAD (computer-aided design) program that runs on Microsoft Windows. SolidWorks files use the Microsoft Structured storage file format. This means that there is various files embedded within each SLDDRW (drawing files), SLDPRT (part files), SLDASM (assembly files), with preview bitmaps and metadata sub-files. Various third-party tools can be used to extract these sub-files, although the sub-files in many cases use proprietary binary file formats. SolidWorks is a parasolid-based solid modeller, and utilizes a parametric feature-based approach to create models and assemblies. Parameters refer to restrictions which values determine the shape or geometry of the model. Parameters can be either numeric, such as line lengths or circle diameters, or geometric, such as tangent, parallel, concentric, horizontal or vertical. Numeric parameters can be associated with each other through the use of relations, which allows them to capture design intent.

AutoCAD is, just like SolidWorks, a Computer Aided Design software application for 2-D and 3-D design and drafting. AutoCAD was one of the first CAD programs to run on personal or home computers, notably the IBM personal computer. At that time, most other CAD programs ran on mainframe computers or mini-computers that were connected to a graphics computer terminal for each user. Early releases of AutoCAD used basic entities such as lines, poly-lines, circles, arcs, and text to ultimately construct more complex objects. AutoCAD has since started to support custom objects through its C++ Application Programming Interface (API).

Modern AutoCAD includes a full set of basic solid modelling and 3-D tools. With the release of AutoCAD 2007 improved 3D modelling saw the light, which means better navigation when working in three dimensions. It also became easier to edit 3-D models. The mental ray engine was included in rendering and thus it was now possible to do quality renderings. AutoCAD 2010 introduced parametric functionality and network modelling. At this moment, AutoCAD only runs under Microsoft Windows operating systems. It is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. AutoCAD can run on an emulator or compatibility layer like VM-ware Workstation or Wine, although various performance issues can arise if you work with 3-D objects or large drawings.

Choosing a system that works for you depends solely on the type of work you want to do. Many experts say that SolidWorks is more effective when working on 3 dimensional designs and that AutoCAD is the way to go for 2 dimensional design.
