Type 2 Diabetes – How Diabetics Can Boost Their Metabolism, Part 1

Having an efficiently running metabolism is important for everyone. For people who have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, this is even more essential. But what exactly is a metabolism rate? This refers to the amount of calories the body requires in order to perform its various functions. This rate can vary from person to person. Age can even affect this rate. It’s important to have a “good” metabolism because it means your body is using energy more efficiently.

So, what is the correct and safe way to maximize your metabolism? There are actually quite a few actions you can take:

1. Start your day with breakfast. Just like you have heard for most of your life, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Why? Because it sets up your metabolism rate for the rest of your day. The best breakfast should be a balanced one and include:

  • fiber,
  • protein that is low in fat, and
  • preferably some fruit.

Some people mistakenly believe they can help themselves lose weight by skipping breakfast. In their eyes, taking in fewer calories should promote weight loss, right? Well, not exactly. Not only does skipping breakfast cause your body to hold onto your stored fat even more tightly, but it causes unnecessary stress to your body and your blood sugar.

Denying food to a body that has already been fasting for at least the last 12 hours, is not only bad for you… it can be dangerous.

2. Plan your meals accordingly. Instead of eating three large meals, it’s much more beneficial for your body and especially your blood sugar, to space your food out into five or six smaller meals.

Think of your body as a fireplace. When you load up a fireplace with stacks of wood, the fire burns extra brightly for a short while and then, suddenly, the fire dies down considerably until you add more fuel. Your body is designed in like fashion. A large meal will provide you with a boost of sudden energy but, once that boost is expended, your body will subsequently crash until you eat more food. Feeding your body smaller meals, spaced accordingly, will give it a constant supply of fuel with very little, if any, dips in energy.

One last thing about meals: never skip one. Many Type 2 diabetics tend to skip meals and snacks when they don’t really feel hungry. Unfortunately, your hunger pains are not a reliable indication of the level of your blood sugar. Eat at the times your doctor or dietitian has suggested for you, whether you feel hungry or not. This will ensure a reasonably even level of blood sugar.

5 Home Remedies To Beat Menstrual Pain

Do you dread your approaching menstrual period? Does it make you irritable, give you cramps, make you weak and uncomfortable? Menstruating women deal with so many problems ranging from cravings to pain and body malaise. While you cannot entirely prevent these from occurring, there are home remedies that will help you tone down the extent of these menstrual problems and help you live through those five days like any other normal day. It’s common to feel discomfort around your abdomen, lower back, and thighs when you’re menstruating. During your period, the muscles of your womb contract and relax to help shed built-up lining. Sometimes you’ll experience cramps, which are your muscles at work. Some women and girls may experience nausea, vomiting, headaches, or diarrhea as well.

* Hot water bottle

The dreaded effect of having your period is the cramps. No one wants to feel like someone is stabbing their abdomen multiple times for several hours. To get relief, apply a heat pack on your lower back and abdomen. The heat will help soothe some of the cramps. Applying Heat to your abdomen and lower back may relieve pain. A 2012 study focused on women 18 to 30 years old who had regular menstrual cycles found that a heat patch at 104°F (40°C) was as effective as ibuprofen.

* Get more Calcium

Cramps can be reduced by increasing the intake of calcium in the food. Remember to include dairy products or calcium supplements in your diet.

* Fish Oil

Fish oil is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and has anti-inflammatory properties. Taking a capsule of fish oil everyday helps keep menstrual cramps at bay.

* Chamomile Tea

Chamomile, an anti-depressant and nerve relaxant, is a life saver. Drinking a few cups of Chamomile tea helps in soothing your cramps and makes you relax during your periods. Massage therapy for about 20 minutes can help reduce menstrual pain. One study looked at women with period pain caused by endometriosis. The researchers found that massages significantly reduced pain immediately and afterward. Massage therapy for menstruation involves pressing specific points while the therapist’s hands move around your abdomen, side, and back. Drinking chamomile tea increases urinary levels of glycine, which helps relieve muscle spasms. Glycine also acts as a nerve relaxant.

* Banana Flower

If you suffer from heavy bleeding, then include a lot of banana flower in your diet since it is rich in progesterone which can control help normalize hormones and stop heavy bleeding.

Team Building – The Principle for Organizational Growth

Any organizations depend on teams to develop new products, solve problems, improve quality, and increase productivity. Each individual in a team is required to work with many different groups of people in their professional as well as personal lives. Joining in a new team and immediately being expected to get along with them is somewhat unnatural. Due to cultural differences, language barriers and diversity among the team members there can be interpersonal conflict among themselves. Every organization will face the same difficulty.

Team building becomes an important issue when we focus on organizational growth. Team building is needed when there is a goal. For team building, select members to allocate roles within the team according to their personality. Assigning roles to team members help them to know their place on the team. Each team member must possess confident and positive attitude all the times and should be able to build trust among the members. Organizational teams need everyone committed to a plan, pulling together to achieve goals, communicating vital information and executing as successfully as possible. This process reduces workplace diversity.

The team's primary objective is to make the most of each team player's unique perspective. To accomplish this goal, team players must learn to: identify their own style and the style of other team members, avoid carrying their style too far, learn to acknowledge the value of others' styles, use the appropriate style to maximum team advantage, and learn to switch their style when it suits the needs of the team.

Finding Humor in Everything

Humor can come from unexpected sources. I work in the medical field and while you might not think that would be a hotbed of comedic material, it really can be. Health care workers and patients alike are surrounded by illness and death and need the natural outlet and stress relief provided by laughter.

Gallows humor is defined as humor that makes fun of a life-threatening, disastrous, or terrifying situation. This certainly applies to health care as well as many other occupations and situations. I was exposed to this type of humor early on in life when I became a candystriper at a local hospital. People were ill, yet laughter abounded in the cancer ward.

The first time I witnessed an exhibition of gallows humor, I was horrified. A patient, who had just had a tumor removed, was meeting with her physician. They were discussing reconstructive surgery, which seemed scared and I could see no humor in the matter. When I passed the room, I was stunned to see her juggling the implant samples, which looks like sacks of clear gel, that the physician brought for their discussion. She thread one implant high up in the air then snatched it out while throwing another. Occasionally she had three going of various sizes and weights.

"I do not know, that ones pretty heavy, it's going to sag in a few years. Maybe I should go with the lighter model. Not that my husband will agree … he's looking forward to a larger size," with this announcement she laughed and continued juggling. The physician sat nearby waiting for her act to end so he could continue his discussion. It's safe to say that this sort of reaction did not happen with every patient!

This was my first exposure to gallows humor, but not my last. This type of display continued when I worked in the doctors office and after a while, I would usually laugh along rather than be shocked by patients' actions. One day in the office I walked back to the treatment room where the patients received their chemotherapy. I stopped in the doorway, amazed at the sight before me.

A group of women in the corner were topless. They were examining each other and comparing the work of various plastic surgeons. In the middle of the group was a new patient who had yet to get reconstructive surgery. The women were supporting her in her search for a surgeon by acting as live models! The woman was blushing and laughing; nervous laughter to be certain as I'm sure she never thought to find herself in this situation when she came in for her first treatment.

I decided then and there that if these women could find humor in times of tragedy, then so could I. Since that moment, I've tried to find something humorous in everything. I can not always manage it in the moment, but there's always something later that strikes my funny bone. Try your hand at turning a dark moment into something funny with gallows humor. It's a great way to deal with a tragic situation as laughter releases endorphins and helps with the healing process

Shifting Your Metabolism To Fat Loss Mode

Instead of taking weight loss upon your head and treating it like the world's most difficult task, take a minute out to relax and change your thoughts. Consider it as a renovation towards your life. It is essential that you readjust your thinking and take it up as a normal "change".

Keep Reading. You're about to find out how exactly you can change your life, that is, switching your entire metabolism to fat loss mode in the easiest ways.

Start! The basic thing to do is keep you away from the most harmful foods. Trans fat, saturated fats and processed foods. And do not forget your sugars and bad carbohydrates. Those are the worst. All these things are what give you instant pounds.

Feel that spring in your step? As a result of eliminating these harmful foods from your table you will certainly notice a reasonable increase in your energy level. You will not feel sluggish and weighed down. Along with that, your body fat percentage will start to drop.

Setting a good structure and foundation is necessary for anything to work out. Therefore, for your body to respond to the changes you are going to put it through, make sure your "base" is set. By that, you have to get 7-8 hours of sleep, drink 12-16 glasses of water and exercise very regularly.

Metabolism magic: Your metabolism phenomena your bodily functions, including conversion of food into energy and / or fat. For required, rapid weight loss, you must make sure your metabolism is working well.

Burn that fat! You need to ensure that your metabolism converges your food into energy instead of fat. Avoid fat dieting since it greatly reduces your metabolism's natural capacity and efficiency. You want to burn those fat pounds, not break your body down.

Skyrocket your metabolic activity by taking nutritional, balanced, and fat-burning foods in such a way that they influence and increase your body's natural fat burning hormones. Thus, you will automatically lose weight.

Management Tip – The Only 2 Ways to Grow Your Business

There are two, and only two, ways to make your business more profitable. You either need more money coming in or less money going out, period. Here’s a simple business management tip; if financial growth is your objective, then the entire organization must be focused around one of these two attack plans.

More Money In – Top Line Growth

How do you get more money coming in the door? You sell and deliver more things. When you break it down further you find there are only 3 ways to get more money coming in:

1. Increase the number of customers

2. Increase the average value of each sale

3. Increase the frequency of sales

Each one of these is a big topic in itself worthy of a lot of discussion and study, but it all starts with the simple understanding that these are the only three ways to grow the top-line (income) of a business.

Less Money Out – Cost Control

How do you keep more money in the business? You spend less. This is otherwise known as cost control. There are 2 basic types of costs that need to be controlled.

1. Variable Costs

2. Fixed Costs

Variable Costs are the costs directly related to whatever product or service you provide. If you sell more, these costs go up, if you sell less these costs go down. The main variable costs are typically labor and raw materials.

Fixed Costs are overhead. It doesn’t matter how little or how much you sell, you still have to pay these bills. Examples of fixed costs are rent, and management and administrative salaries.

Like top-line growth, cost control is a big topic and step one is understanding that there are 2 large categories of costs in every business: the raw materials, time and labor required to deliver something to a customer (variable costs), and the things you pay for even if you don’t sell anything (fixed costs).

What Should You Focus On?

Most business managers will tell you that you need to balance between top-line growth initiatives and cost control measures. While that is a very true statement, it is also true that every successful business is generally focused much more on one than the other at any given period of development. The typical small business scenario is generally challenged with top-line growth. Generating leads and converting them to sales is the main goal of the Entrepreneur. When a business is small, controlling costs is relatively easy as everyone has a personal investment in the success of the company, and the impact of expenditures on the bottom line (profit, or cash in your pocket) is easy to see.

As a business grows the infrastructure grows along with it and the company begins to acquire more equipment and employees. This is generally acknowledged as an indication that the business is doing well, and growth is healthy. As long as the growth is outpacing the new costs there’s no problem right? Wrong! There are two things that can turn growing costs this into a big problem. First of all you generally have to pay for your supplies before you collect payment from your customers. So taking a huge order can actually hurt your business if you don’t have adequate plans for financing the supplies needed to do the job until you can collect from your customers. If you don’t have enough funds to cover your weekly pay checks or pay your suppliers, it doesn’t matter how much money the customer promises to give you 2 months after the work is done. People can’t wait that long to be paid. More than one big company with a healthy balance sheet has gone bankrupt because they didn’t plan this right.

The other side effect of growth is that people become less and less conscious of the impact of costs. People start to see that new double sided laser printer as a necessity instead of a luxury. What’s a thousand dollars to a company that’s making hundreds of thousands? After all, the business is doing well right? They start to feel less guilty about taking home a pack of staples, or using the photocopier to make 100 copies for their children’s school. None of this seems like a big deal until you realize that there are also more employees than there used to be. When every employee at the local corner store takes home a pen, the store might lose 5 or 10 dollars; when every employee at Wal-Mart takes home a pen it’s a very different story. Cost control measures become increasingly important as a business grows.

Generally, healthy companies start out focused on getting more money in. When they notice that costs have gotten out of control (because they were not focused on that) they slowly switch focus from getting more money in the door, to letting less money out the door (I.E. controlling costs). Once costs are under control, they need to switch focus back to getting more money in the door. This balance of focus swings back and forth continuously as long as the company is healthy and smart. Every business needs to decide for itself whether to focus on top-line growth or cost control at any given point in time.

Summary

There are only 2 ways to financially grow a business. If you want your bottom line to grow your business focus must address these two things. The primary area of focus depends on how your particular business is doing at the moment, and changes over time.

There are only 3 ways to bring more money in the door:

1. Increase the number of customers

2. Increase the average value of each sale

3. Increase the frequency of sales

There are only 2 types of costs to be controlled:

1. Variable Costs

2. Fixed Costs

Health Begins With Water

Health begins with water. Since the body is made mostly of water (about 70%), all body functions are dependent on water. I guess you could call water a universal solvent. Most nutrients with the exception of fats are dissolved in water, transported in the water-based blood system and used by water-filled cells. And, because the cells are filled with water, the water lubricates, them, like cartilage and muscle cells. It also keeps cell walls pliable and receptive to nutrient inflow and waste outflow.

These facts point to the crucial nature of proper hydration for a healthy body. It is even more important as we get older as will be explained soon. Every organ in the body depends on water to function properly and efficiently. When we are not hydrated properly, or we are dehydrated, even a little bit, our bodily functions become labored. Over time, our health can become challenging. It is very subtle at first, then symptoms begin to appear.

The US National Research Council has guidelines that suggest that we require one milliliter of water for every calorie we consume. That translates to approximately one half of your body weight in ounces of water consumed daily. Some scientists and medical community advisers claim that amount is too conservative, that we should drink more. For someone who is obese, very overweight or suffering from a chronic disease, they should be drinking 1 quart (32 ounces)of water for every 30 pounds of body weight.

If we look at body functions, there are four obvious ways that the body loses water; defecation, perspiration, respiration and urination. In addition, the body’s digestive process uses a huge amount of water which can further dehydrate the body if there are not sufficient water reserves. Efficient digestion is also aided by drinking sufficient water between meals to flush the digestive tract and provide enough water for bodily functions.

Obviously, the quality of the water that we use to remain healthy or regain our health is very important. For most people it means the water should be clean and safe to drink. What most people don’t know is that in order to be healthy throughout life the body needs to be as near to a neutral pH as possible and the blood absolutely needs to be between 7.35pH and 7.45pH or we die. That means the fluids in our body need to be reinforced with alkaline, ionized water.

Most of the foods that people eat form acidic ash and waste in the body, so to neutralize it we need to drink alkaline ionized water.

Another component of health that is crucial to us is negative ions. Alkaline, ionized water is full of negatively charged particles which our bodies crave. Without negative ions our bodies decline and age. Eventually our health is eroded and our organs slowly lose their efficient function.

It seems that the “struggle” for health is our attempt to rid our bodies of the positive ions we acquire from our “unnatural” diet and to get enough negative ions into our bodies. Traditionally our Paleolithic ancestors used to eat a predominantly raw food diet supplemented with river and creek water that babbled over the rocks and down waterfalls, thus becoming negatively charged and highly oxygenated.

Sadly our diets have reduced to pulling up to the local drive-through and drinking out of cans and bottles. These habits have created a society of overweight acidic bodies full of positive ions and ill health.

Fortunately the process is simple to reverse. Even if your health is OK now, you should be motivated to remain healthy throughout your life. A few changes to your lifestyle will give you valuable “life insurance.”

In the early 20th Century, the Russians discovered that negative ions were very good for human health. They postulated that if they could create negative ions in water that it would create an easier avenue to health. Through experimentation, the first water ionizers were created. The challenge even today is the bonds that water molecules form are weak. Water ionizers break up the large clusters of water into smaller clusters but they do not hold the ionic microcluster structure permanently once they are formed. So the best way to drink alkaline, ionized water is fresh from a machine that creates it. At best, it can be put into a glass bottle and it will hold its charge and microclustering for two days provided the water is filled right to the rim of the bottle. After that, the weak bonds separate and reform into larger cluster molecules and they lose their negative charge.

Even today, Dr. Emoto has shown that water has memory and can be “programmed.” The concept of alkaline, ionized water, is more and more becoming a household word as people realize the benefits of drinking this special water.

It is estimated that 75% or more of North Americans are dehydrated enough that it affects their health in a negative way. And, with that dehydration there is an acidic inflamed body. It may be “silent” inflammation now, but it will eventually rise up into the radar range and become pain or symptoms. It doesn’t seem to matter that people drink lots of water, it matters more what kind of water they drink.

In a University of Washington study, it was found that many people interpret their thirst as hunger. By giving those in the study a glass of water when they felt hungry, it stopped the hunger pangs in 98% of the people surveyed.

For the average North American, there are one or more toxic chemicals stored in their fatty tissue from drinking treated tap water. That is not even including toxins from the foods we eat, what we put on our skin and hair, what we clean our houses with or environmental pollutants. In the US, 53 million people drink water from municipal water supplies containing potentially dangerous levels of chlorine and fluoride derivatives and by-products, lead, fecal bacteria, fertilizers, pesticides, jet fuels, pharmaceuticals and other impurities associated with cancers and various sorts of metabolic dysfunction and diseases.

I remember a study a few years back where they took hair, blood and urine samples from a famous artist who ate organic, used “natural” products, drank the best water he could find, uses as few chemicals as possible in his art and he wore natural fibers. There were 48 toxic chemicals found in his body. He was really conscious about being a “back to earth” guy and quite shocked at the toxic levels in his body. Alarming, don’t you think?

Because most of us are dehydrated by various degrees, our daytime level of fatigue could be directly related to dehydration and our diets. The typical slump seems to be between 3 and 4 pm, where we reach for that sugary snack or the coffee. If we only knew that by drinking two glasses of alkaline, ionized water after lunch, we could feel much better. Water is so important that only a 2% drop in your body’s natural water level can bring on mental confusion, short term memory loss, inability to focus and sluggishness in doing simple math calculations, sequenced procedures and interpretive skills.

Also, with regards to your health, recent research shows that 8-10 glasses of alkaline, ionized water per day may significantly reduce pain levels, even in backs and joints for up to 80% of sufferers. Research is also showing that if the average person drank at least 5-16 oz glasses of alkaline, ionized water daily, that is plain alkaline, ionized water, not mixed with anything, their risk of getting breast cancer can be decreased by 79%, colon cancer by 45% and bladder cancer by 50%.

How does it work? The properties of alkaline, ionized water are unique. Drinking this water provides a quick supply of available oxygen – making the water an “antioxidant.” In other word, the water has an extra electron attached making hydroxyl ions which are negatively charged. These hydroxyl ions in the ionized water seek out and neutralize free radicals. This is very important, since free radicals are what damage our cells and bring about disease and premature aging. When the hydroxyl ions, as an antioxidant have neutralized the free radicals, the result is a body that is energized, vitalized and oxygen rich. Alkaline, ionized water helps balance the body’s pH by reducing excess cellular and body acidity, helping the body to dissolve and excrete acidic waster products more easily.

The electrolysis process that produces the alkaline, ionized water, not only produces an excess of electrons, it also reduces the cluster size of the molecules from 13 to 14 (which is regular tap water) to 5 to 7. This can happen because of the weak bonds that the water has with molecules around itself. These smaller clusters have a lower molecular weight, making the alkaline, ionized water more easily absorbed by the body. The smaller cluster size is also better able to deliver nutrient to all the cells, tissues and organs and accelerates metabolism as more and more acidic waste is eliminated from the body. So, take your vitamin and mineral supplements with alkaline, ionized water for greater absorption. Conversely, take your medications with neutral water. Normally only about 30% of your medication is absorbed by the body because of our acidic and plugged up condition. Alkaline, ionized water will increase the absorption of your medication and you may get too much.

A normal average North American diet will produce high levels of acidic waste in the body from 97% of what is eaten. We simply don’t eat enough alkaline foods, fruits and vegetables. These acids, if they are not neutralized, can cause inflammation and free radicals. They can kill healthy cells by stealing oxygen and damage them by stealing electrons. Alkaline water and food will not only dissolve these harmful acids, but they will help remove them from the body by allowing them to pass safely through the kidneys and bowels and not be stored in our joints, organs, blood vessels and fat cells.

The qualities of high alkalinity, more oxygen and lower molecular weight act as a powerful cellular detoxifier, helping the body maintain or restore its health and should be part of everyone’s daily regimen. Research in Japan since the 1950’s indicate that most chronic conditions are a result of increased waste, acidity and the resulting impaired body function and immune system.

If you are looking to feel younger, more flexible, vital and alive, or even stay that way, then the answer is clear. Try alkaline, ionized water!

How to Detox the Natural Way

Detoxification is the process of getting rid of toxins from your body. This is pretty crucial when it comes to maintaining health. If you have digestive problems, skin problems or generally feel without energy and motivation, you probably need to look into methods of detoxification. The process is really about cleaning blood and getting rid of toxins that are mainly processed in the liver. The lungs, lymph, skin and intestine are other channels that these harmful substances are eliminated through.

If all the toxins are not eliminated in the right way or are not eliminated at all, the normal function of body cells will be compromised and this is how disease can bring. There are several reasons why you need to detox and they are highlighted below. You can be sure that this information will help you make choices that only promote health in your life. First, through fast, you can rest the organs and this is pretty beneficial. The second thing is that the liver gets to be stimulated so that the harmful substances can be eliminated from your body.

Through the process of detoxification, you are able to boost the elimination through intestines and skin. Your blood circulation will be improved and this is what you want in your body. After going through the process, your body will be refueled by healthy nutrients that will make you healthy and happy. There are many other reasons why you must go this direction for optimum health.

Experts advise that doing it at least once a year will do you so much good. However, when you plan to do it, you need to consult your health care provider for advice. This is because there are so many other factors that need to be considered as you get the best recommendation for a detox. There is a group of people who should not do it and they include nursing mothers, children and patients who suffer from chronic conditions like tuberculosis, cancer and others.

Take necessary precaution and know that not all detoxification programs and ingredients are safe for you. You need to have a qualified doctor guide you accordingly. With this in mind, the following are the steps you take in for the process of eliminating the harmful substances from your body. First, you have to reduce or eliminate the obvious toxins. This means that you quit smoking, stopping taking alcohol, get rid of refined sugars and unsaturated fats in your diet.

Start using health care products that are natural and this may touch on deodorants, toothpastes, cleansers and the like. Stress is responsible for the production of hormones that will be toxic to the body. Therefore, you need to say goodbye to stress by employing strategies like yoga, meditation and exercises.

There are so many programs that people follow to detox and use different kinds of supplements. However, you can do it easily and without complications. Top experts say that going on a 3-7 day juice fast will do you good. You will take only fresh juice and vegetables plus water. Toxins will be effectively released leaving you cleaned.

Many cultures also had a detox program which saw them take in water only one day every week. This routine can also work if followed well. Taking in plenty of minerals, high fiber and plenty of water will go a long way in your endavor. There are so many other ways but with the above, you will do it naturally for better health.

A Hidden Key to Growth

The path to growth is often not a course in adding or obtaining something, but of removal or letting go. We're bombarded every day to produce, expand and accumulate more. All of this has its place; however, it's opposite – learning to let go – is a hidden key to growing personally and professionally.

It is healthy to make room for different and miraculous things to come into your life. If your days are so jam packed, there is no space for new things to arrive. At one point in my life I kept so many old clothes that I knew I would fit into some day. This resolved in a packed closet with nothing to wear. What I wanted was to invite new things into my life. What worked for me was to develop a systematic way of letting go of older clothes. So, whenever I buy something new, I make a conscious choice of what article of clothing I will let go of before putting that new article of clothing in my closet.

In years working with clients, there seems to be common things that need to be released; and when they are, they create massive momentum. Some common things my small business owner clients have discovered that often keeps them bogged down include:

• Negative Attitudes
• Excuses
• Fear
• Anger / Resentment
• Self-Limiting Habits
• Comfort Zones
• Control
• Familiar Situations / Status Quo
• Titles / Roles
• Thinking Patterns
• Working with Non-Ideal Customers
• Relationships
• Need for Certainty
• Not Setting Boundaries
Perfectionism
• Trying to do EVERYTHING (this is especially evident for the small business owner)

The range of letting go can be as simple as giving away old clothing or as extreme as leaving a highly dysfunctional relationship. What people fear most is the pain they think they are going to experience. Instead of moving forward, they choose the known environment, no matter how bad it is, over the unknown alternative.

One of the largest hurdles is letting go of excuses. Often times, people use excuses to rationalize their thought process, especially when it is a widely used excuse, like a bad economy. Excuses take away your personal power and simply you are a victim of circumstance, powerless or not responsible for your actions. The opposite is to take PAAR (power, accountability, authority and responsibility) over the results you want to achieve and the life you want to lead. Taking PAAR is empowering. It implies that despite life's circumstances, you are the master of your destiny.

Practicing a letting go philosophy causes amazing changes, often times very quickly. All kinds of problems improve and life becomes much simpler. Why? You are clearing the clutter. Where you are today is the result of your past thoughts, attitudes, and actions. The good news is that if you change your self-limiting habits, thoughts, and attitudes today, your life will change as you move ahead.

Letting go does not have to be complex or hard, it just takes a few steps to get started:

First, identify the "letting go" priority. It is important to choose one thing to let go of and work on that area and move on to the next. Priorities create focus and focus creates momentum.

Second, consciously choose. Make a deliberate choice: A choice over how you choose to feel, how you choose look at things, how you choose to react to things, and what you will commit to. You'll be amazed at just how empowered you feel the first time you choose to step outside of your comfort zone. Each time, it gets easier. You'll create a habit of letting go go faster than what is no longer supportive of getting to your desired future or income.

Third, create a process of letting go. Do the stacks of paper keep growing in your office? Develop a series of questions that you ask yourself to let go of them quicker. Some of the questions might include: Is it Important? What's my motivation for keeping it? Will I respond to it within a week? It is amazing how quickly you break a cycle and let go of something that bogs you down when you have a process that walks you through your stuck point.

Releasing unwanted or self-sabotaging things, habits, feelings, attachments, attitudes, mindsets, beliefs, and even relationships, is an ongoing process. Letting go today is the key to your growth and unlocks unimaginable success for your tomorrow.

Trouble With Network Marketing

An MLM home based business is one of the best ways for regular people to have a chance to earn a six figure income. Just imagine, someone without any education, without any degrees or qualifications, can become a success in network marketing and earn as much as a doctor!

And the beauty of an online MLM business is that it does not cost an arm and a leg to launch. Just a few hundred dollars allows you to buy product, brochures and fliers. It gives everyone a chance, regardless of financial background.

Here is where the problems start. If you want to buy a franchise it would set you back by something like $ 200,000. Yet for a few hundred dollars, an MLM business can earn you as much as a good franchise without the headache of hiring staff, promises, dealing with staff problems, overheads etc.

It is so easy to get involved with an MLM home based business that people tend not to take it as seriously as they would if they had invested thousands of dollars. If you have invested a lot of money in a business you are definitely going to give it your best shot. You will not let minor problems stop you from continuing to trade.

But at the slightest problem, many give up on their MLM business, say the product arrives late or if yet another lead says they are not interested in the business …

So the fact of the matter is that most people never even begin to treat the business seriously and never get to enjoy the rewards of network marketing.

Success, Personal Growth – How to Be More Inspired

Personal growth is essential for you to be more successful. But personal growth doesn’t always happen steadily. Sometimes you need the flash of an inspired idea. Do you know how you might be blocking inspiration and slowing down your progress?

Inspiration comes out of chaos

Have you had the experience that life appears to be going along, everything is fine. You are making progress on your latest goal, you’re learning new skills. Then gradually at first but more rapidly, things slip into chaos. You get stressed out and emotional…

Then suddenly, a light goes on. You suddenly reach a new level of understanding, things that were troubling you just minutes before are now clear. What happened?

If you have this experience regularly then you’re lucky. Sudden flashes of insight – you might call them light bulbs going on, blinding flashes of the obvious, moments of inspiration or any one of many other names are responsible for many great leaps in progress. All the way from Archimedes shouting Eureka – to you solving your problem!

If you haven’t experienced flashes of insight, or they don’t seem to happen very often, it’s possible that you might have been hesitating at the threshold of inspiration and missing out on the opportunity for a leap forward.

The secret is that these moments of inspiration are usually preceded by a period of high emotional intensity. Understanding how they work can help you to recognise that you might be about to make a breakthrough and allow you to just let it happen.

Allowing breakthroughs to happen

Imagine you are going about your daily business, what you are doing is working perfectly for where you want to be now. But you want to change, you want to get to the next level.

You become aware that what you’re doing is not going to get you there and you start working to move on. As you do this the pressure starts to rise as new information gradually seeps in to your mind. You start to feel your life is getting more chaotic, overwhelming, more stressful as the new information starts to disrupt your current level of understanding.

The typical response to coping with this chaos, which is very stressful, is emotions. Lots of them – anger, fear, depression, mood swings… Everyone has their favourite recipe.

Sometimes the emotional response dissipates all the chaotic energy building up inside you and you revert back to your calm state. Nothing has changed in your level of knowledge.

Sometimes, the emotions are not enough to dissipate all the energy and you end up going through the barrier… and emerging out the other side with more wisdom. If you want personal growth, this is a better result for you than ending up back where you started.

The trick is to recognise when you are approaching a breakthrough – after all not all emotionally charged times lead to learning experiences. Once you recognise that a breakthrough might be coming – get out of the way. Disengage as much as possible from your emotional response and let the flash of inspiration happen.

Sometimes when you are trying hard to achieve personal growth you enter a period of seeming chaos and intense emotions as new ideas start to swirl chaotically round in your mind. Be aware that this emotion is a natural response that is meant to protect you.

If you want to accelerate your progress, you should get out of the way of the new ideas that are forming by disengaging your emotions. You will greatly increase your chances of taking that elusive quantum leap forward.

The Medical Tourism Spotlight Is on New Zealand

If you’re living with chronic knee or hip pain at night, or are seeking hip or knee pain relief, then you’ve probably already visited a doctor. Depending on your condition he may have recommended hip replacement surgery, knee replacement surgery or hip resurfacing surgery. And, depending on your current insurance program you’ve likely seen how expensive those surgeries can be.

There is an alternative option to paying the high U.S. cost of these procedures – medical or health tourism in New Zealand. Of course you can elect not to have knee or hip replacement surgery at all, but managing the pain and what it does to your quality of life may make this choice unfeasible. Health tourism can reduce surgery costs significantly, but pricing considerations aside, there are certain risks – seen or not – that you need to consider before choosing your medical tourism destination, including:

  • ‘Superbugs’ and other infectious diseases
  • The number of vaccinations required for travel to certain health destinations
  • The travel time needed to get to certain medical tourism destinations
  • Risk of terrorism and other violence
  • The quality of technology used at the medical facilities at certain health tourism destinations
  • The quality of the food and water at certain destinations

People interested in health tourism as an option need to consider the larger picture, beyond the procedure itself; from the beginning of your travel for hip or knee pain relief, to the facilities and personalized care, to the recovery period before your travel home. It needs to be stress and problem free so you can get back to enjoying your quality of life faster. That’s why New Zealand is a fantastic option!

Recently, according to the 2010 Global Peace Index, New Zealand was rated as the world’s most peaceful country. It was rated very low or at low risk in the following areas:

  • Level of violent crime
  • Number of homicides
  • Level of organized conflict
  • Potential for terrorism
  • Political instability
  • Hostility toward foreign travelers

New Zealand has extremely low rates of the infectious diseases MRSA, Hepatitis A, VRE, Tuberculosis, and HIV. Most other, popular destinations for health tourism require or strongly urge vaccinations for typhoid, malaria, rabies, hepatitis A, and Japanese encephalitis. Traveling to New Zealand requires no vaccinations!

In New Zealand, the food is safe and the water is clean. Food safety standards are strictly regulated by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority and Food Standards Australia & New Zealand. In New Zealand, the medical facilities are clean and state-of-the-art, all using the latest technologies. The doctors and medical staff are all highly-trained – many in fact are trained in the U.S. English is the primary language in New Zealand, a factor that is so important when discussing a major medical treatment such as knee or hip replacement surgery.

New Zealand is also easier to get to than many other orthopedic procedure destinations. Direct flights from Los Angeles will have you in Auckland in just about 12 hours.

New Zealand is on the cusp of becoming a major destination for health tourism. Knee replacement surgery, hip replacement surgery, and hip resurfacing surgery can be performed at up to 50% less than the cost of the same procedure in the U.S. You don’t have to live with chronic pain anymore.

Need Some Panic Attack Help?

Are you looking for some panic attack help? You're not alone. Millions of Americans suffer from panic and anxiety attacks and many do not know how to deal. The sudnessness of the attacks can catch you off guard and interfere with your quality of life. Some of the symptoms you may experience during an attack include: heart racing, sudden feeling of terror or death, difficulty to breathe, sense of a loss of control, pain in the chest, and having chills. Usually, they only last several minutes but sometimes can go on longer. Panic attacks can be debilitating, but there are steps you can take to control future episodes:

Exercise – Workout regularly and get involved in stress reducing exercises, such as aerobics and yoga. Even just half an hour of exercise three times each week can play a big role. If you can, go for an hour of aerobics each time.

Breathing – Breathing techniques can help to help relax your body. Activities such as yoga, deep breathing, meditation, or visualization can all help decrease anxiety and help you be more relaxed. When I was looking for panic attack help, learning to breathe deeply with my belly helped calm me down.

Hypnosis – Those looking for panic attack help may be unfamiliar with hypnosis as a treatment, but this can play a big role. While deeply relaxed, a hypnotherapist can use several therapy techniques so you can address your fears and help you relax.

Try some of the above techniques and see if they help. Sometimes, you'll need to seek a doctor for panic attack help if at home or self copying strategies do not work. You may want to have a doctor check to see if your anxiety is caused by a medical problem. If there is no medical cause, you can then seek a therapist who will help you determine the cause and a plan of treatment.

Early Cancer Symptoms

Going for annual health checkups is important but relying solely on these results does not exclude you from having cancer. Before cancer becomes easily apparent, there are early symptoms in your body that you can detect. These tell-tale signs may be the early cancer symptoms which, if left untreated or unchecked, could eventually be too late to treat. Hence, while cancer has no specific symptoms, you may not want to ignore early warning signs that could lead to early diagnosis and possibly to a successful cure. However, on the brighter side, every symptom for cancer may turn out to be just a harmless condition.

Here are some of these common tell-tale signs which have been usually overlooked.

Difficulty in urinating

The most common early symptom of prostate cancer is difficulty in urinating. The bladder retains the urine while creating frequent sensations to urinate, usually at night. The urine flow is  slow, weak and intermittent.

Diarrhea and constipation

Frequent diarrhea, constipation and unexplained stomach aches are early symptoms of colon cancer or other forms of cancer.

Unexplained weight loss

If you are losing weight when there have been no changes to your diet or exercise routine, this may be an early symptom of colon cancer or other digestive cancers. It can also be associated  with tuberculosis, diabetes and many other medical conditions.

Chronic cough and chest pain

It is extremely difficult to pinpoint which particular type of cancer as several types of cancer, including leukemia and lung tumors, can cause and share these symptoms. If the symptoms persist or recur more than normal, these are early warning signs which cannot be dismissed without further screening.

Blood in the stool

A sign of colorectal cancer is blood in the stool or rectal bleeding which most people mistake it for hemorrhoids.

Blood in the urine

Bladder cancer has early symptoms of blood in the urine, frequent and/or painful urination.

Difficulty in swallowing

Although this is a common problem among the elderly people, it cannot be taken lightly as this may be an early symptom of cancer of the esophagus.

Headaches

Changes in vision, headaches and dizziness are early warning signs of brain cancer especially if these symptoms do not go away.

Tiredness or fatigue

Tiredness is an early symptom of leukemia or anemia. It can also be a early sign of pancreatic cancer or other forms of cancer

Swellings or lumps

Lumps on your body may represent cancer or a swollen lymph gland related to cancer. Enlarged lymph nodes indicate changes in the lymphatic system, which can be a sign of cancer. A lump or an enlarged lymph in the neck or underarm is sometimes a sign of thyroid, head, or throat cancer. A painless lump on the neck or underarm can be an early symptom of leukemia.  Lumps in the testicles may be cancer of the testicle. However, often the swellings are not cancerous.

The above is not an exhaustive list of all symptoms. You must watch for any abnormal warning signs in your body. Always consult the medical specialist when you notice that these symptoms do not go away. It may turn out to be non-cancerous, so go for early diagnosis.. it may save your life
