Four Common Myths About Grieving

There’s a lot of grief going around right now. People I know and love are facing personal losses of many different kinds. I myself am still dealing with the death of my beloved cat a few weeks ago. Given this context, let’s talk about some common myths about grief and grieving.

1. You will feel bad all the time.

There’s this idea that you’ll feel sad and weepy 24/7, but in fact, you may not. You probably won’t. The day we put my cat down, we had to rush around like crazy to get prepared for our daughter’s birthday party which was the next day. I was too busy to cry.

What I’ve observed in my life personally is that grief requires flexibility, because it lurks around, activating your tear ducts when you least expect it. It’s like cleaning up a broken glass with bare hands: you sweep up most of it fine, but then a shard pierces your skin and it hurts like hell. (Pro tip, use tools, not bare hands, to clean up broken glass). For the first week after my cat’s death, I felt generally OK. And then, last week I went to the vet to get medicine for another cat, and I barely made it to the car before bursting into tears. When I got home I climbed into bed and wailed for a good 20 minutes.

So allow yourself to feel whatever feelings there are. And give yourself some flexibility for the crying sneak attacks.

2. You will move sequentially through the five stages of grief.

Speaking of crying sneak attacks, don’t fall for that five stages of grief myth. You know, anger, denial, bargaining, depression, acceptance. Or is it acceptance, bargaining, anger, denial and depression? Every person is unique: if you do experience all five of the stages, it won’t necessarily be in the “correct” order. The stages of grief are possible reactions to loss, not a linear psychological model. In addition, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll just feel 1 feeling at a time. I feel acceptance of my own loss, and some depression. Am I angry that my 17 year old cat’s body wore out? No. Does that mean you shouldn’t be angry about your loss? Of course not!

3. You should be grateful that it’s not worse.

I know I’m talking about a cat, so naturally my grief is not as severe as it would be were I grieving the death of a family member. I should be grateful that my cat lived so long, and my family is all healthy, right? Well, of course, and I am grateful for those things. But that doesn’t make my grief any less real, any less valid, or any less painful. No matter what the source of your grief, do not listen to those who cheapen it by pointing out how it’s not as bad as something else. This is a very common form of comforting, but it’s pretty ineffective. “At least your uncle isn’t in pain any more.” “I’m sorry your daughter is an alcoholic, but at least she doesn’t have cancer.” “I’m sorry about your miscarriage, but you have two healthy kids – lots of people can’t even have one.”

People: DON’T use these forms of comfort! Comparing a person’s grief to something worse invalidates her feelings and adds guilt to her life.

People: DON’T spend time with those who say such things to you. If that’s the best way they know to comfort you, then they are toxic to you until you’ve worked through your grief. Just avoid them. It is your right.

4. You’ll get over it with time.

Time heals all wounds. Right? (Pro tip, don’t use this as a “comfort” statement either).

It is true that the immediate raw pain, much like an open wound, will lessen and heal with time. You’ll get to a place of being able to remember the lost one without crying. You will, eventually, find consistent joy in your life again. But that doesn’t mean you’re “over it.” The ones we love and lose stay in our lives forever. There will always be anniversaries, what-if questions, regrets. I regret that my grandfather never got to meet my husband. Sometimes I wonder if I had been more consistent with my cat’s medication if he would’ve lived longer.

We don’t get over a loss: we incorporate it into who we are. Just as a wound on my face would turn into a scar, and gradually I would begin to recognize that scar as part of my new appearance, the loss of a loved one heals into some sort of scar, and we begin to recognize our new lives. It may be a defining moment, a turning point, a threshold, or just a sad milestone. It changes us. Be patient with yourself: your psyche has to integrate the loss into your future.

Treating Stomach Flu Symptoms

Although it really has no connection to what is commonly thought of as influenza there is often no mistaking the malady properly termed viral gastroenteritis, or referred to as stomach flu. Highly contagious, stomach flu symptoms may strike adults and children of all ages, and most people report having experienced this illness at least once or twice. Telltale signs of viral gastroenteritis include diarrhea, vomiting, and at times fever. Fever, dehydration, and the resulting physical weakness typically take a toll on sufferers, but proper and timely stomach flu treatment can alleviate severe reactions and may help you avoid some symptoms as well.

While stomach flu symptoms such as queasiness, vomiting, and diarrhea are certainly unpleasant what is genuinely troubling is the potential damage to the cells that line the small intestine. The weakened cells leak excess fluid into the contents of the intestines, and this manifests as watery stool or diarrhea. A singular occurrence of diarrhea or vomiting may be easily endured, but lingering occurrences may leave you dangerously dehydrated. The unpleasantness may begin within a few hours to two days after being exposed to viral gastroenteritis, with symptoms lasting one or two days. At worst, cases may last for as long as ten days, but anyone who experiences blood in their stool or vomits for one full day or more should likely seek professional advice and stomach flu treatment.

A fever may cause you to experience chills or even headaches, and the accompanying sweating may also cause you to lose more fluid as your temperature fluctuates. Adults and children alike should likely have a physician to guide treatment if pain, dehydration, or pronounced drowsiness persists. While the loss of fluids explains the resulting dehydration, producing dark urine or nearly no urine output at all are clear indicators of being dehydrated. For a baby, this will show up in the form of extended periods with a dry diaper, dry eyes or mouth, or a slightly sunken area on the forehead. Fortunately there are some easy remedies to treat mild cases of dehydration, including a variety of sports drinks for adults and replacement drinks containing electrolytes that may be beneficial for children.

The physical exhaustion from vomiting and experiencing diarrhea understandably leave sufferers feeling weak, and weakness is also due to the nutrient loss that occurs from repeated diarrhea and vomiting. Anyone experiencing feelings of excess thirst, dizziness, or lightheadedness should likely seek stomach flu treatment from a medical professional, as any untreated electrolyte imbalance may even affect heart health. Maintaining fluid levels and addressing stomach flu symptoms sooner rather than later may keep this common malady from creating permanent physical damage.

Side Effects of Home Laser Hair Removal

When deciding whether or not to make the investment in a home laser hair removal system, it is important that you fully understand all of the risks and potential side effects of laser hair removal. This information will help you make the best decision involving your health or the health of your family. There are very few recorded side effects, and these products are considered very safe without somehow misused.

How does this Laser Technology Work?

Laser energy is light-based, and light creates heat. The laser is such an intensely focused beam of light that it causes things that absorb it to become extremely hot. The dark pigments in your hair are the perfect receptors for this energy, and are quickly affected by the intense heat which then causes the hair to fall out. The hair follicle will eventually heal, but follow-up treatments ensure that the hair will not regrow.

There are some drawbacks to being limited by dark pigments. For example, what happens if your skin has the same pigments that your hair has? The dark pigments in your skin can absorb the energy of the laser, which means it can absorb the heat as well. Therefore, people with dark skin are not eligible to use this system, as it can cause burns and can damage the skin.

Unfortunately, this system can only be used by people with light skin and dark hair. If your skin tone is tanned, medium, dark brown, or black, using a laser can cause unintended laser hair removal side effects.

Potential Temporary Side Effects of Laser Hair Removal

Naturally, exposing your skin to the power of a laser can create some temporary side effects. Right after treatment, your skin may become sensitive, and you may experience some itching, mild discomfort, rashes, red marks, or swelling. All of this is perfectly normal, only occurs in a minority of cases, and disappears quickly. In order to prevent further damage to your pores, you will be advised to avoid the direct light of the sun for up to seven days.

Potential Long-Term Side Effects of Laser Hair Removal

While it is possible to permanently damage your skin or be the victim of long-term side effects during home laser hair removal, this is extremely rare and only happens in a small minority of cases. This can be avoided by ensuring that you have a skin color that qualifies for the process, as these side effects are usually caused by the skin absorbing too much of the heat and becoming damaged or burned. Home laser hair removal systems are equipped with sensors and safety devices to prevent misuse on dark skin.

It's Easy to Prevent Damage to Your Skin

If you follow the instructions carefully and use laser hair removal at home with your common sense, you will reduce the chances of serious injury to practically nothing. You should only experience a tingling sensation and possibly minor discomfort for a short period of time. Simply err on the side of caution. If you feel a burning sensation for an extended period of time or you feel left your skin under the laser for too long, then take a break. If you have a skin condition, have a rare skin color, or have very sensitive skin, then you may want to consult a doctor before beginning treatment. If you do not have any of these conditions and you use your intuition, then you increase the safety of the technology.

For More Information

There are plenty of places to find a full range of information on laser hair removal for home. Some places to find this information would be at health spas, aesthetic doctors, the FDA, and product manufacturers. Be sure that any device you buy is FDA approved, as this will guarantee that the product has been tested and retested for safety.

5 To-Swear-By Remedies to Remove Skin Tags

Skin tags are usually small and benign skin flaps that appear prominently on the skin surface. These outgrowths are harmless, of course, but it could seem irritating to people’s self-esteem and their appearance. They appear on the parts where friction and moisture are common, such as near underarms, on the neck, on eyelids, under the breast, and near genitals etc. Moreover, factors such as maturity, aging, friction, hormone imbalance, and even genetics can cause their growth.

These harmless little flaps don’t hurt until you try removing them by twisting them. So, it’s probably clear that cutting or twisting them up would leave your skin irritated and scarred. Surprisingly, you can still have a clear skin and remove them. How can you do it? Just use these easy remedies that are guaranteed to free you of the shackles of skin tags.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Owing to its ability to kill harmful bacteria and treat various infections, apple cider vinegar has long been around topping the list of natural skin care products. It is well-known for treating skin eczema, pimples, acne, redness, warts, and even skin tags too. To remove a skin tag, use an apple cider compress for 20 minutes daily. During your treatment, you’ll notice the tag going dark. With regular application, it will diminish within a few days or weeks.

2. Tea Tree Oil

You must have noticed some acne products using tea tree oil as the main ingredient. That’s because of the tea tree oil’s highly antiseptic and anti-fungal properties. Apply 6-8 drops of tea tree oil on a cotton ball and use as a compress on a tag for 15 minutes.

3. Vitamin E Oil

As vitamins are essential for a being’s life, vitamin E oil ensures healthy skin and can be applied to skin tags. Apply pure Vitamin E oil to the tag and cover with a bandage. Repeat this process daily until it is gone.

4. Oregano Oil

Oregano oil inherits its anti-fungal properties from the mint family it belongs to. It offers relief from various skin ailments, which also include skin tags. Apply directly to the skin tag and air-dry before bandage. Repeat this procedure daily until the tag goes away.

5. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has various amazing benefits as it contains anti-microbial lauric acid, which kills viruses, bacteria, and protozoa. Apply coconut oil on tags before bed and within a few weeks, you’ll have a tag-free skin.

In case you’re wondering, patience is a virtue when you’re treating skin tags with natural remedies. If they’re not harming or bothering you, you don’t have to remove them at all. As for any painful growth, always consult your dermatologist before treating yourself.

Symptoms and Signs of Panic Attacks

Anxiety and Panic Attacks – What Are They?

It is estimated that 1 in 10 people will have an isolated panic or anxiety attack in any given year. 1 in 75 will experience panic disorder – that is, a sequence of two more panic or anxiety attacks over time (US Surgeon General's Report 1999).

When we talk about anxiety attacks or panic attacks, we're really talking about the same thing – a sudden, defined period of extreme anxiety or terrorism. Interestingly – not all panic attacks are the same.

Types of Panic Attack

Anxiety attacks can be spontaneous – seemingly arising out of the blue; associated with specific situations or places, such as driving or shopping malls; or associated with types of situations or places – some people experience panic attacks in any crowded space, for instance.

The American Psychological Association auditors that the classic anxiety attacks for about thirty minutes. However, panic attack symptoms can be experienced in seconds, or they can come in waves over a period of hours.

Panic Attack Symptoms

People suffering panic attacks often report the following symptoms –

"Rapidly increased heart rate (palpitations)
"rapid, shallow breathing (hyperventilation)
"churning stomach or nausea
"increased perspiration
"physical shaking or trembling
"choking sensations
"feelings of unreality
"feelings that this is happening to somebody else
"ability to think clearly

In addition, the anxiety attack may produce frightening thoughts that drive the attack further.

"fear of having a heart attack
"fear of going mad
"fear of being publicly humiliated

As these symptoms arise suddenly and apparently out of nowhere, it can seem as if the mind and body are being "attacked". However, as we shall see, in many ways panic or anxiety attack is really a misnomer.

ECG Rhythms

ECG is an abbreviation for an electrocardiograph. An ECG records the heart's electrical activity as a graph or a series of wavy lines on a moving strip of paper. It provides information on a patient's heart rate and rhythm and blood flow. It is used to diagnose medical problems such as a heart attack or irregular heartbeats.

Heart rhythm problems or arrhythmias can be diagnosed using a variety of methods. The method depends upon the specific heart rhythm problem suspected by a physician. An electro physiology is done when the arrhythmia is identified as a fast heart rhythm problem called tachyarrhythmia.

There are different types of ECG tests that help record the heart's rhythm of patients. The exercise ECG or stress test is a graphic recording of the heart's rhythm during exertion. The exertion is created using a treadmill machine. This test helps to evaluate whether exercise can create an arrhythmia or make it worse. It also helps diagnose a condition involving flow of blood to the heart called ischemia.

An ECG rhythm is recorded for long and short periods of time. A Holter monitor is a 24-72 hour ECG. It is a device that measures and records the heart rhythm over 1-3 days. This test may be done when an ECG does not clearly show the arrhythmia, though it is suspected to be the underlying cause of the symptoms. In a ECG Rhythm test, patches with wires are placed on the patient's chest. The wires are connected to a portable monitor that can be attached to a purse or belt.

An external loop recorder is a device that monitors the heart rhythm and rate for up to one month. During this test, the patient wears a device on the wrist or around the waist. When symptoms are experienced, the patient presses a button on the device to make a recording of the heart activity that just occurred.

An insertable loop recorder is a device that continuously monitors the heart rhythm for up to 14 months. This small device is placed under the skin during a twenty-minute procedure using a local anesthetic. When a symptom is experienced, the patient places a hand-held activator over the recorder. Later, a physician analyzes the stored information. ECG rhythms help diagnose problems that can be cured when detected. It is just one of many applications of an ECG that has a life saving impact.

Why Do Bright Children Get Into Trouble?

Why do bright children make poor decisions and get into trouble?

In my Speech Pathology practice I frequently meet children who are brought along because they are not achieving their potential at school. They have often had psychology assessments that have shown that they are bright kids. But in real life they are just not functioning well.

All the language assessments can show that they have good skills in comprehension, following instructions and remembering what they hear.

So why do they often get things wrong at school and get into trouble with teachers and at home? Usually the children can not explain their choices or behavior or lack of action. Parents are looking for answers.

So the next area I usually look at is the ability to answer questions that involve inferential reasoning. I use an assessment tool called "Test of Problem Solving", commonly known as TOPS. This test presents a child with a series of situation pictures involving other children. They are then asked a series of questions about each situation.

The answers to the questions rate a child's ability to answer questions that involve:

· Explainingferences (for example, How do you know the boy is sick?). This skill is needed if children are going to be able to gather evidence, understand implications, realize what a situation is likely to mean or explain their own behavior. It is also crucial for answering written questions about texts at school. If this skill is not developed children miss information, miss the main point of what they see or hear and do not understand non-literal speech such as sarcasm, jokes or figures of speech. They can misjudge other people's actions or intentions.

· Sequencing (for example, What will the dad do next?) This skill allows people to learn to plan and organize and to do tasks logically without missing out vital steps. It also ensures that children can orient their listener and tell a story that makes sense to others, rather than just launching into the middle of a story without saying when or where it happens.

· Negative questions (for example, Why would not you shake his hand now?) Negative questions use more complex language than Why questions, and need a change of perspective to understand. People around us use these types of questions consistently (Why do not ..?. Why should not …?)

· Understanding causes (for example, What might have caused the lights in the building to go out?) Children who do not see how they got into a difficult situation often can not explain causes. So they are illegally to learn from their mistakes. They will have difficulty answering school topics that involve, say, History or English, where they need to analyze what lead to certain events.

· Suggesting solutions (for example, What could the girl do the next day?) Some children find themselves in tricky situations and only make things worse, because they can not work out the best thing to do in the circumstances. Children (and all of us!) Need to be able to evaluate a range of solutions and choose the one that will make things better, or at least stay the same, not worse.

· Preventing problems (for example, What could these children do to prevent germs from spreading in their classroom?) Often the answers to these types of questions involve children having some knowledge about the world and then being able to generalize it and apply that knowledge to specific situations. Children that do not understand about preventing problems, of course, end up in trouble frequently.

If your child has any of the difficulties discussed in this article, it is probably worth while not to simply assume that they are naughty. This may be the case, but check out whether or not they can answer these types of questions first. Behavior management strategies may need to be put into place, but if the unchanged reasons for the poor choices are not fixed then, in the long term, little is going to change.

Academically a child may progress much faster if these inferential reasoning skills are working well for them.

Common Diseases That Should Be Considered in Caring For Betta Fish

One must know what the possible and common diseases can be acquired as proper caring for betta fish. They are known to be very territorial, especially male species. And since they are territorial they often fight against other male betta fish and even non betta fish, which may result to injuries. They will soon be suspicious of certain freshwater fish disease if they are not urgently cured. But what are the most common diseases a betta fish can acquire?

Bettas naturally lived in organically grimi shallow rice paddies and slow moving streams. To the fact that they live in such environment, they are very susceptible of bacterial infections. One of the most common diseases that are susceptible to is fin rot. They are prone to this disease, especially when overcrowded. Fin rot can also be the result of poor water quality; it's better to keep well maintained flow of water for better caring for betta fish. It should at once be brought up to the vet when dropping for a health advice.

This type of freshwater fish is mostly referred to as tension and stress reliever. Their brilliant colors, flowing fins and flaunting tails are very entertaining and eye-catching. But can they also experience stress? The answer is yes. They are prone to being unconstructively influenced by environmental stress, which is a common problem not only to betas but for many different pet. Some of its signs include twisted fins, patterned skin discoloration that are often compared to skin disease in human, open red or white sores and difficulty in breathing.

Stress is also contagious to bettas; it is more likely compared to a virus. The common cause is overcrowding and cloudy water surrounding them. The owner must respond to its betta's condition if some of these symptoms are observed. Or else the betta fish will soon lie at the base of the tank, becoming motionless for a long period of time and may get killed due to difficulty of breathing. Well, caring for betta fish can be very fulfilling once they are kept from illness and infections. Just let them feel the proper care and love.

5 Reasons It’s Not Smart to Ignore Chronic Sinus Infections

No doubt about it, the symptoms of sinus infection are certainly unpleasant, especially when it seems like they just never go away – or when they seem to return two or three times a year.

If you seem to always “have a cold” or other upper respiratory infection, these recurring bouts of illness may in fact be chronic sinusitis. And if that’s the case, you may find that you’re at risk of developing issues that are even more troubling or debilitating than prolonged periods of not feeling well. Some of the more serious complications or outcomes of unresolved sinus infections are:

Eye Problems

In some cases, recurring or unchecked infections can lead to a condition known as cavernous sinus thrombosis, which causes a loss of vision or even outright blindness. More common eye complications, however, include severe and painful swelling, eye redness, or congestion of the eye. Though not life threatening, these problems can cause temporary issues with vision – and make patients very uncomfortable indeed.

Although rare, some complicated or severe sinus issues have been known to cause meningitis, a life-threatening brain infection characterized by intense headache, high fever, sensitivity to light, convulsions and delirium.

Even people with mild to moderate asthma are subject to flare-ups when they experience chronic or recurring infections in the sinuses, due to the stress and inflammation that sinus infections pose to the respiratory system. Symptoms include chest tightness, (non-cardiac) chest pain, wheezing, and coughing.

Blood clots

Repeated or extreme infections in the sinus cavities can cause issues with the vascular system (veins) surrounding the infected cavities. This in turn can lead to an interference with the flow of blood to the brain, or a blood clot, which in turn can lead to a stroke.

Missed work or school

Even though most cases of sinusitis or sinus infection aren’t life threatening, the symptoms they produce frequently make it difficult, if not outright impossible, to carry on with normal activities, particularly school and work.

So what can you do about a sinus infection?

In many cases, rest and proper hydration and nutrition will serve as sufficient treatment of sinus infections. In others, the patient will additionally require antibiotic or anti-inflammatory medication, as well as over-the-counter remedies such as nasal spray, ibuprofen, and decongestants.

Many patients have benefited from osteopathic manipulation, which helps reduce sinus pressure and clear the sinuses of the infected fluids. This in turn promotes healing and reduction of symptoms like facial pain or headaches.

As with any health care concern, it’s best to seek the advice of a physician if you have any troubling or recurring symptoms, and before you take any treatment or remedy.

Cure Yourself of Diabetes by Attaining a Lower Blood Sugar Level

There is a simple cure for diabetes – attain a lower blood sugar level. Diabetes can be a horrible disease. It can affect many organs in your body. It can lead to blindness and amputation. But if you take care of yourself through diet and exercise, you can beat this deadly disease.

Research companies spend millions of dollars claiming that they are close to finding a cure for diabetes. What they are not telling you is that you possess the cure yourself. Some people suffer from diabetes so horribly that they must have a shot every day. Others have to take medication. But why should you have to suffer through an injection every day of your life? Why should you have to waste your money on a daily medication?

Diabetes is basically a high level of sugar in your blood. By reducing the sugar you eat, and eating a nutritious diet, you can bring this number into a safe level and quit suffering from this disease. It is true that medication can help achieve a lower blood sugar level. But if you forget to take that medication for a day, you are right back where you started from.

Diabetes is a serious disease, and should be taken seriously. Do not think you can escape all the nasty side effects of this disease by taking a pill. This disease has proven fatal for many people. The sad part is, the cure was within their reach, but they simply did not know the facts.

Drug companies are in business to make money, not cure you. They would not be making profits if every disease was curable. Do not depend on them to help you. Eat right, exercise, and bring your number down to a lower blood sugar level. You will feel better and will know you are fighting a terrible disease without loading your body with unnecessary medication.

Fish Oil Supplement and Why it is Required by the Body

The advantages of fish oil supplementation is numerous and wide-ranging. Fish oil, which can be obtained from fatty fish like mackerel and tuna, is full in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. These fatty acids are necessary by primary organs of the human body, such as the heart and the brain. There is a common need of fish oil supplement nowdays instead of taking fatty fish because of the presence of deadly contents in fatty fish like mercury.

Fish oil is necessary by the human body as it can play a vital purpose for different body organs. Below is a summary of advantages of fish oil supplementation can contribute to the body:

This oil can assist in prevention of breast, colon and prostate cancer. Omega 3 fish oil has really shown to forbid these types of cancer by blocking the change of a normal healthy cell to a cancerous one, blocking undesirable increase of cells or apoptosis or cellular death.

Omega 3 fatty acids can aid lower blood pressure and cut the chance of cardiovascular disease. It can help in reducing the chance to spring up atherosclerosis and diminishing cholesterol level in the body.

So there you get the list of advantages fish oil supplementation can give your body. Always Remember, however, that not all fish oil is good to your health. Some oils have been incurred from fish that are polluted with industrial waste. One should be particular with your supplement.

Omega 3 dependent supplement should go with the process of molecular distillation to take out the waste it may have, like mercury and lead. When toxins like mercury and lead are taken in by the body, this may lead to serious health hormones like getting cancer.

The fish oil supplement that your body needs should be approved by your local drug and food agency. The merchandise should be registered as good and not unsafe to guarantee that your health is not at danger with fraud supplementation products.

This is ideal for people who are absolutely busy and going out to simply purchase supplements from pharmacy is but a bothering task to perform. The caution that should me established though is that one should still be aware in selecting which online drugstore to order from. There are numerous online drugstores out there that sell products but not licensed by their home country's regulating body. Make particular their products and their companies are certified.

How Do Porn Stars Last So Long? – Their Secrets Revealed

I bet anybody who has ever watch adult entertainment has wondered how do porn stars last so long when they have sex with such amazing looking women. I know I sure did. So I decided to find out what their secrets are.

Luckily I had some contacts in the industry and managed to watch a few shoots and ask some questions. Everybody involved was more than happy to help, generally they’re a very friendly bunch. I guess who wouldn’t be given what they do for a living.

So what did I discover? Well of course there is some camera and editing trickery used, they are in show business after all. But these guys were also amazingly professional, and they had quite a few tricks to help their endurance. They wouldn’t get paid if they didn’t perform. The best bit is you can use most of these techniques at home to help your own duration.

Some of the most common methods were:

  • They used lots and lots of lubricant to cut down on the friction. This was something everybody (including the actresses) seemed to swear by to ensure that both males and females had a good time.
  • They used condoms, and many guys used the newer ones with a small amount of local anesthetic in the tip to reduce the stimulation. You can buy these at just about everywhere you can get the regular kind these days.
  • If things were getting out of control too quickly, they stopped, had a break and focused on something else for a while. You could use this at home by easily too, try oral on your partner if you want to keep her arousal levels high.
  • They would often quickly finish the first time, but knew that after that they would be lasting much longer. Many guys at home try strategic masturbation before big dates if they want to impress a new partner.
  • They think about something else while on the job. One guy I talked to was writing a screen play so he worked on that in his mind. Another would replay a basketball game in his imagination. Just about everyone had a trick to take their minds off of what they were doing. The old cliche about listing batting averages works great too.

There is a brief outline of the most common methods that answers the question how do porn stars last so long. I discovered much more while I was on set.

Protecting Penis Skin From Free Radicals

Healthy, good looking penis skin is not only a sign of penis health, it also is one of the key attractors that can make a partner appreciate a penis and want to get to know it better. That’s why taking excellent care of penis skin should be on every man’s care regimen. And that’s also why men should be taking steps to protect that delicate penis skin from the damage that can be inflicted by free radicals.

What are free radicals(FR’s)?

While the name “FR’s” conjures up images of politically active youth from the 1960s, the term actually means something quite different. But to better understand free radicals, a little basic science is needed.

Molecules are composed of atoms, and atoms contain pairs of electrons. But sometimes an atom is missing one of those electrons, and when that happens, it is considered a FR’s.

But atoms prefer to be “complete” and have both electrons, so when they are FR’s, they try to grab an electron to stabilize them. When they grab these needed electrons from the skin, they can damage the skin. Specifically, it weakens the DNA in such a way that aging occurs more rapidly in the skin. This can account for why penis skin may have an older, unhealthy appearance.

Skin damaged by FR’s may be splotchy or have an unhealthy color, or it may be loose and saggy. And free radical damage isn’t limited to the skin; FR’s are also thought to contribute to other health conditions, such as heart disease and cancer. They can cause damage to cell walls and to DNA, given enough time.

So FR’s come about when an atom is missing an electron. But since people can’t see atoms and electrons with the naked eye, are there things they can avoid to help prevent FR’s from attacking them? Fortunately, yes. A person is more likely to encounter FR’s due to factors such as excess stress, an unhealthy diet, too much alcohol consumption, smoking, pollution and exposure to harsh UV sunlight.

Fighting FR’s

Now in order to help fight the FR’s, it behooves a man to make lifestyle changes – such as stopping smoking or making sure he wears sufficient sunscreen when going outdoors in the summer or learning how to meditate to relieve stress. Another of the most important things a man can do is to make sure he gets enough antioxidants.

Antioxidants are nutrients and enzymes that can help strengthen and repair skin tissue. They are able to pass on an extra electron to a free radical, turning it back into a normal atom. Antioxidants may be found naturally in certain foods, or they may be obtained from chemically-made sources. So adding plenty of antioxidant-rich foods to the diet can make a difference.

If a man wants to target free radical damage that has caused penis skin issues, one of the best ways to do so if by using on a daily basis a first rate penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). The key, of course, is to be sure that the crème in question contains plenty of antioxidants. For example, an “ACE” crème – one with vitamins A,C and E – is best, as these vitamins have excellent antioxidant properties. It’s even better if the crème also contains alpha lipoic acid, which is considered one of the most potent antioxidants around. The following prevention strategies seem to be logical based on what is known about this link:

    • Individuals that use a cell phone should keep the mobile device as far away from their body as possible to reduce the exposure to the radiation that is emitted from the device.

    • There are many hands-free and standard headsets that may be used in conjunction with cell phones. Those that are concerned about their exposure to radiation should use these cell phone accessories.

    • Individuals that have a family history or a personal medical history that includes any type of tumor and/or cancer – specifically in the head and spinal cord region – should have regular checkups to ensure that they are in the clear on such medical complications as newly developed tumors.

If these strategies are incorporated when cell phones are used, an individual’s chance of developing a brain tumor may be drastically reduced.
