The problem of reduced close up vision explains why some drivers make emergency stops or slow down abruptly at road junctions, especially at super highway exits. Chronic Pain – How to Heal With Spiritual Prescriptions (Part Two)

Part two of a series, this article looks at our option and ability to 'go inward "to access our own innate healing abilities – rather than surrender the income to someone else.

While everyone has the option to have their own best healer, it is not a choice that many have faith and trust in. We've been professionally trained to seek outside ourselves for health and healing.

Ayurvedic medicine, the world's first and oldest system of medicine and healing, states that all illness is caused by a failure of intellect. As odd as this may sound I believe this to be true. With the core beliefs and the stories we make up in our minds, (which are usually rooted in one of the three universal fears), we create physical, mental, emotional, and energetic constrictions in our mind, body, and spirit.

When we decide to unlearn these beliefs about ourselves and the world we unlearn fear. We move toward self-love and our Divine health state.

–We stop accepting fear based medicine and media.

–We stop accepting and believing societal systems that are designed to control us and make "big money" for special interest groups and businesses.

Even in the holistic healing community I've seen fear-based practices used to keep clients "coming back for more" … more therapy, treatments, and herbs.

When I made a conscious choice and decision to get out of my wheelchair and heal my body I also chose to stop believing that worker's compensation and disability systems were designed to support me, or anyone else, for long-term health and prosperity.

I stopped stop settling for the lies and I move toward the truth:

We are energetic creatures filled with a magical, mystical divine life force created by love, destined for the full expression of itself as peace, health, and happiness.

If I can do it, anyone can! You just need the right tools and support.

There is divine order in our bodies, please appearances. Our bodies know how to be healthy. We can let go of believing that we are not worthy of vibrant health or that our bodies are going to break down and turn against us We recognize that we do not have to earn it, beg or pray for it. It is our natural and divine state and birthright. All we have to do is allow it.

How do we allow it? We allow it by aligning ourselves with the truth. We go within, unravel the false beliefs and choose to move toward our wholeness. This is how we become our own best healer and inner authority and stop giving away out power.

This is what I came to know on my 10 year journey. I share the insights that I learned and the tools I used in my book, "God is a Pink Cloud". I was forced and guided by God / Spirit to look inside myself. I was given the opportunity. We are all given the opportunity. But our current beliefs and free will often distract us from it. Acne Scars: Treatment and Prevention

Acne scars are one of the most pervasive dermatological problems. They are common for people of all ages. Typically, they are a result of inflammation that occurs when bacteria, dead cells and access oil combined together and started pressing on the walls of the skin pore and breaks the follicle wall. Up to 80 percent of people in their teenage years are getting affected by acne. While many of these people recover from the said skin condition without permanent effects, some are left with scars.

There are a few topical skin care medications that can help improve mild scarring. Most acne scars can also be treated by means of skin resurfacing and surgical procedure combinations.

• Laser Treatments. There are two (2) categories of laser that are used to treat acne scars. These are ablative or resurfacing laser and non-ablative lasers. Ablative lasers take off the skin's outer layer, burning scar tissues and tightening the dermal collagen. Through this way, the visibility of the scar is reduced. In laser resurfacing, erbium YAG laser and ultrapulsed carbon dioxide laser are commonly used. Since the skin is damaged and unprotected tissues are exposed, effort should be performed in wound care and avoiding infection. The skin may redden for a couple of months or even a year afterwards.

Non-ablative lasers sets off changes in the dermis without damaging the epidermis. The newest FDA approved laser for this kind of treatment is called "smoothbeam."

• Filler Substances. For shallow and saucer-shaped acne scars, filler substances are commonly used. There has been an increase in the amount of filler substances used in plumping up acne scars. Cosmoderm, Fascian, Restylane, Artecoll, Cymetra and bovine collagen are available.

Grief That Is the Ugly Ache That Will not Go Away

Of the 18,693 days I have been alive, there must have been several hundred that I could chalk up as resolute failures. Maybe a thousand or more. But there have been periods – series' of days – of my life when failure, as a contrast, would have been ten times brighter to what I was actually experiencing.

Grief that is inconsolable, as far as a life experience is concerned, is inestimable. In so many ways. I do not believe that there are potential circumstances in all our lives that bring us to the absolute end of ourselves.

Within this kind of grief that casts what was our lives into oblivion, there is an ache so ugly, a hole seemingly so daemonic, we may find it so hard to believe that God could allow this kind of pain.

The pain is unconscible. It is so searing that it completely malforms our existence. It throbs and it threatens. Ever beckoning at our door, it cowers and bustles through the moment we give anxiety a foothold. It comes through in depression that says, 'I can not do this!'

Having encountered this pain known as grave we severely reckon it could be possible. It swarms, then overwhelms. It tracks you and ambushes you intuiting trauma.

And still there is the ugly ache that will not go away.

How many days go past and the justification refuses to be reconciled. If we have enough strength to be courageously weak – the gentle strength of humility that can not be faked – we bear them all for a purpose. That purpose is inanely enigmatic. To a creature crying out for justice it makes absolutely no sense. It's only when we choose to throw justice away that we can make instantaneous sense of it.

That ache that will not go away insist on commanding our attention. It pummels and breaks us. And still we wake the following day for another foray on life. Sometimes we are surprised when a comparatively easy day comes; where energy and hope seem restored. Then, the very next day we are smashed up on the rocks again. And yet that dull ugly ache remains in the cavernous region of our soul.

Grief changes us. It runs over us like a tsunami, without apparent warning, even if we were warned, and it stays far too long, never returning us to where we have been.

Little wonder that people resent the grief in the phenomenon of loss.

Learning to reconcile what has been taken away and may never be returned to us, and may continue to run malformed, is still the option at hand. When we have the option of healing what is unsatisfactory or of leaving what is unfathomable there, we choose the former. We cut our losses. We settle our debts and agree to get out of the town of mental chaos.

Such as it is the ugly ache that will not go away. It insists on having its way. And though we fight it, it remains steadily stubborn until our wisdom kicks in: this can not be beaten, and it can only be accepted. Grief is a crude and cruel negotiator.

The ugly ache that will not go away is the evidence of grief we need to experience.

It is good for us to understand the nature of life that occurs in so many lives. It is a blessing to know the truth, that we do not have anywhere near as much control over life as we would like to think we have.

And strangely, that breeds an unconquerable hope within us; a joy that can not be quenched; a peace that transcends our understanding.

Grief opens up our thinking about life. It challenges us beyond what we comfortably bear.

Grief forces us to change, and when we change, we're fortified by hope.
