How Cavities Form and Are Prevented

A cavity is essentially a hole in the tooth that is formed as the result of decay. Often times, a cavity can be repaired through the use of drilling and filling the cavity, however in some cases a root canal might be required.

The tooth is made up of several parts, with a top layer of enamel protecting the tooth. Even though enamel is the strongest substance in the body, the unique combination of food particles, sugars, and saliva found in the mouth can easily break down enamel and expose the inner tooth. Where enamel is essentially non-feeling, the inner tooth is compromised of a number of nerves that can make it quite sensitive when exposed, especially in regards to hot and cold liquids.

In very serious cavities, the decay will eat through the enamel and eventually reach the pulp cavity of the tooth. If you were to make a cross-section of a tooth, the pulp cavity would form a very small hollow tube that runs the entire length of the tooth. This cavity is filled with dental pulp and supplied by nerves and blood vessels. The root canal extends from the pulp cavity and all teeth have at least one root canal, with some teeth, like the molars have three branches of the root.

When the pulp cavity is exposed by deep tooth decay or a chipped tooth, serious damage can be made to the exposed tooth. Occasionally, the blood vessels and exposed nerves can actually die, spreading infection from the tooth and into the jaw, in addition to causing an extremely painful abscess. Root canals are intended to help prevent bone damage and abscesses to form in these situations.

In practice, a root canal can prevent the unaffected portions of the tooth to deteriorate, prevent abscesses from forming, and preventing further damage to the pulp cavity.

A root canal is preformed by drilling deep into the tooth, until the pulp cavity is reached. This can be quite painful, so doctors will usually manage some sort of local anesthetic or, in the case of sedation dentistry, a more powerful anesthetic. To protect the other teeth from infection, a rubber material is usually placed around the tooth.

Once the pulp cavity is reached, the pulp, which is infected because of the cavity, is removed. The dentist will then clean and shape the root canal, usually placing some sort of antibiotic inside the pulp cavity to prevent reinfection from occurring. Depending on the severity of the infection, it is not uncommon for a root canal to require several different trips to the dentist office, so in those cases a temporary filling is placed in the tooth to protect it from infection.

In cases where the infection caused by the cavity is very severe and has spread into other parts of the mouth, it is often necessary to administrator antibiotics as well. It is also generally required to remove a significant portion of the top part of the tooth, called the crown, so once complete the doctor will rebuild the tooth, often placing metal supports in the crown.

While certainly no pick-nick, a root canal can effectively provide a lifetime of use and will effectively remove the infection and decay.

All Natural Steps to Cure Bronchitis

Bronchitis is the inflammation or obstruction of the bronchi, the breathing tubes that lead to the lungs. Bronchitis can either be acute or chronic. Acute bronchitis is caused by an infection which can be bacterial, viral, chlamydial (vinereal) or mycoplasmal (fungal); typically it is an upper respiratory tract infection. Chronic bronchitis results from frequent irritation from the lungs such as exposure to cigarette smoke or other noxious fumes. Allergies may also be the cause of chronic bronchitis. Symptoms: The infection results in a buildup of mucus plus coughing, fever, pain in the chest / or back, fatigue, sore throat, difficulty breathing, and even sudden chills and shaking.

Recommendations:

  • Beta-carotene and vitamin A are necessary for healing and the protection of lung tissue. We suggest a high quality whole food supplement, like VITAFORCE that is complete and made from whole foods. Beware that Vitamin A is toxic if from synthetic sources, so it must be from whole foods. Make sure you know what you are getting from the nutritional label.
  • Common Plantain has had some dramatic effects on people with bronchitis. In one study, chronic bronchitis patients treated with Plantain for a 25-30 days had a quick effect on subjective complaints and objective benefits in as many as 80% of the patients, with no side effects. Clinical Trial of Plantago Major Preparation in the Treatment of Chronic Bronchitis, Vutr Boles, 21 (2), 1982, p. 133-137
  • Drink plenty of distilled water, about 8 glasses through the day (not with meals).
  • Use a humidifier, a vaporizer or even a pan of water placed on a radiator and clean your equipment frequently to prevent bacteria growth.
  • Apply warm, moist heat or a hot water bottle over the chest and back before bedtime to aid in sleeping and reducing swelling.
  • Practice blowing up a balloon a few times daily, one research study showed that after eight weeks of this therapy people with bronchitis were much less breathless.

Things to Avoid:

Avoid mucus forming foods such as dairy products, processed foods, sugar and white flour. · Do not smoke and avoid second hand smoke. · Do not use a cough suppressant because coughing is essential for eliminating mucus secretions. If coughing is persistent or sufficient enough, consult a healthcare professional as this may be a sign of developing pneumonia. If bronchitis does not clear up in a reasonable amount of time, get a chest x-ray to rule out lung cancer, tuberculosis, or other conditions.

Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral palsy or CP is a general term that includes disabilities in the neurological functions involving movement and posture. It is a disorder that is non-progressive and begins from disruptions in the development of the child's brain during pregnancy, at birth or after.

As of yet, cerebral palsy has no known cure. The only way to manage it is through medical intervention that includes prevention and treatment of possible complications that may occur as a result of the condition.

What causes cerebral palsy?
The cause or causes of congenital cerebral palsy has not yet been determined. However, it is known that children born under certain conditions are at the highest risk of developing it. These conditions are: premature birth, the presence of hemorrhage in the brain, an infant requiring a ventilator for more than 4 weeks, an undersized baby who does not cry during the first 5 minutes after being delivered, internal system malformations in the kidneys, spine or heart and the occurrence of seizures.

A small number of incidents of cerebral palsy arise from head injuries during early childhood and may occur after severe malnutrition, infections or extreme head injuries during infancy or early childhood.

What are the types of cerebral palsy?
Spastic or athetoid cerebral palsy refer to movement problems while quadriplegia, hemiplegia and diplegia refer to certain body parts involved in the condition. Spastic cerebral palsy refers to the lack of ability to relax the muscles while athetoid CP refers to the lack of muscle movement control. The spastic type may also occur along with other types and this is usually true in about 30% of cerebral palsy cases.

Quadriplegia is the inability to control the muscles of the arms and legs as well as those of the neck and trunk. An individual with quadriplegia will not be able to walk or even to stand. Diplegia involves both legs while hemiplegia involves an arm and a leg on the same side. An individual with diplegia may be able to walk either independently or with the aid of crutches, canes or walkers.

Another type of cerebral palsy is ataxia, which is the inability to have control over balance and coordination. The degree of this condition varies from child to child and there generalizations can not be made as easily.

How is it diagnosed?
Infants with cerebral palsy can not perform normal developmentalal skills like basic motor functions such as reaching for an object, sitting on their own and even walking. Other than these developmental delays, a doctor may also consider abnormalities in the muscles and muscle tones, reflexes and movements.

It is often not easy to make a definite diagnosis of cerebral palsy because it requires an indefinite period of waiting. The child could be over one year old before cerebral palsy is diagnosed, or he could be two years old and discovered not to have the disorder after all.

Blood tests and x-rays will not establish cerebral palsy. They are only used to rule out other medical conditions that may be affecting the child's development. Oftentimes, tests and scans like CT or Computed Tomography and MRI or Magnetic Resonance Imaging may be used. Again, these tests will not determine whether a child has cerebral palsy, but it will provide evidence of other conditions that may seem proof of cerebral palsy but are actually another medical condition altogether.

The prognosis
There is no single correct way of predicting what and how a child with cerebral palsy will be like when he grows older. However, by the time the child reaches the age of two, a doctor can determine if his condition is quadriplegia, diplegia or hemiplegia. These conditions may be used to inform the parents of what they could expect from then on.

It will also be very difficult to predict the degree of how motor and mental skills will be affected later on. In general, the child's intellectual ability will determine how his motor or physical skills will fare in the future.

Medical problems related to cerebral palsy
Children suffering from cerebral palsy have problems such as mental retardation, learning disabilities, epilepsy, hyperactivity and attention deficit disorders. For children with conditions like spastic quadriplegia, common problems like difficulty in swallowing may also occur. A child with cerebral palsy will also require lifelong treatment and caregiving.

The 3 P's: Perfectionism, Procrastination, and Paralysis

Do you set your standards high, but always feel like you've failed? Learn about the 3 "P's" and end the vicious cycle that keeps you stuck and ineffective.

The Vicious Cycle

Perfectionism, procrastination, and paralysis – one often leads to the next, in a vicious cycle, especially on large, long-term projects with no clear deadlines. Let's look at each part of this cycle, and explore some concrete steps that you can take to disrupt the cycle.

Perfectionism

Perfectionism can be defined as driving towards impossibly high goals. Perfectionists are caught in a trap – they can never be good enough. They engage in rigid, black or white thinking about their own performance – if it is not perfect, it's horrible.

Ironically, perfectionists often realize a product that is far less than perfect. At times, their performance is mediocre. In contrast, those who aim at more realistic goals can outperform the perfectionists. How can this be? The procrastination and paralysis that results from overly high standards causes the perfectionist to wait until it's too late, then rush to do something; anything. The more relaxed realist, in the meantime, is able to put an effort in earlier, over a more prolonged period of time, with more chance to let time and consequential changes or editing improve the final product.

Procrastination

When you believe that your next project should set the world on fire, you are setting yourself up for failure. At some level you know that this level of achievement is unlikely. You lose your energy and incentive for your project.

On a football field, when the coach yells at the team that they are a bunch of @ $ #% for playing so poorly, the players may play better. That is because they are enraged at being humiliated and they can use the rage to batter their opponents. This does not work in other spheres! Criticism, whether from your boss or your own inner critical audience slows you down, and interferees with your thinking process.

It is so easy to put off the next step of your project when thinking about it makes you experience unpleasant feelings. So you procrastinate. "I'll get started tomorrow, and work twice as hard." But it's hard for you to ignore the fact that you are not living up to your own high expectations for yourself. "I'm lazy." "I have no will power."

As time goes on, you start to grind to a halt. That leads to the third "P."

Paralysis

You do absolutely nothing on the very project that is most important to you. This is devastating for your self-esteem, and very discouraging. It's hard to plan your next project when you failed to complete your last one.

How to Avoid the 3 "P's"

There are steps that you can take to avoid falling into the vicious cycle of the 3 "P's.

· Become aware of the perfectionistic audience voices in your head (no, you're not crazy.) You can not learn to ignore them if you're talking to you.

· Learn how to answer them back (do not do it out loud or people will think you're crazy.) An example would be, "OK it's not my best work but at least I'm finishing it."

· Look for role models who are satisfied with "good enough." Note how they get things done and are not looked down on by others.

· Set up realistic goals. One way to tell if a goal is realistic is if you can actually do it. For example, "Read two articles and write for 15 minutes before 5:00 tonight" is a realistic goal. "Read two articles and write for 6 hours and write 10 pages before 5:00 tonight" is not a realistic goal.

· If you have reached the third "P," drastic steps are needed. Talk to a trusted friend, find a "project buddy," or seek coaching. Do Not Give Up – it is very possible to get yourself out of the paralyzed state and back to productivity with just a little help.

A Final "P." Or Maybe Two.

Productivity

Start with baby steps. Do a little every day. As you observe your own productivity, however small it may be, you will start to feel better about yourself. You were capable all along – it's just that your unrealistic expectations stopped you from functioning optimally. Your productivity will start to look like Progress. And that's the last "P" for today.

The Human 'Operating System'

How do we 'operate'? What makes us 'work'? Where does our knowledge stem from? Where do our beliefs, cultures, phobias, superstitions, etc., originate? What gives us our individuality?

We can see quite clearly the importance of an 'operating system' (O / S) to the computer. Every general-purpose computer must have an O / S. The computer will not function without one. This fact has made Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, one of the richest men on Earth.

The 'operating systems' in the computer environment provide a proprietary software platform on top of which other computer programs, called 'application programs', can run. For example you can run the 'application program' Word, Excel or this PowerPoint presentation from the Microsoft Office Suite on one of the most popular 'operating systems', Microsoft Windows – Windows 95, 98, 2000, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 7 …

All of these 'operating systems' stay in Read-Only Memory (ROM) that means you can not gain access to the O / S. It is non-volatile and is never erased. But what you can manipulate is the 'application programs' in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, etc.

'Operating systems' perform basic tasks, such as recognizing input from the keyboard, sending output to the display screen, keeping track of files and directories on the disk and controlling peripheral devices such as disk drives and printers. For large computer systems, the O / S has even greater responsibilities and powers. It is like a traffic cop – it makes sure those different programs and users running at the same time do not interfere with each other. The O / S is also responsible for security, ensuring that unauthorized users do not access the system.

I believe this 'operating system' in humans is comprised of genes from not only our parents but also ancestors reaching back to the beginning of life on Earth. Within our 'operating systems' I believe we have what I would call a 'trans-generation' subconscious memory that is made up of data gathered from the point when life began to when we were conceived.

In addition to this we accumulate experiences and information during our life span on Earth that adds to this knowledge and might be likened to an 'application program' similar to Word or Excel, where we add our own files in a similar way to adding software and files to a computer's hard disk which gives each computer its individuality. There are some experiences and information which change our personalities and seemed ingrained into us and there are also things which leave little impression on us and this might be compared to a game run on the computer's CD ROM for a few weeks and then never played again. I hope this comparison starts to show how we can be individual even though we are born with common genes. So, it is possible to influence your life span on Earth, but you can not change your inherited 'operating system'!

We can get a very basic idea of the complexity of our 'operating system' by imagining a series of circles expanding from a small inner circle to the larger outer circle, like the cross section of an onion cut in half. The small inner circle representing when life began on Earth to the critical "missing link" point when the human race was created following the arrival of a highly intelligent extraterrestrial life-form that bred with, or somehow implanted its genetic material and educated our Homo ancestors around 13,000 years ago up to the outside circle representing our parents' generation. The 'onion' diagram would need to be quite large just to show around 500 generations that will have come and gone during the 13,000 years that have elapsed since the arrival of the extraterrestrial visitor (s). Of course contributions to our 'operating system' from the Homo sapiens side of the family began long before the arrival of the 'Alien Visitor'. From the point when life first began on Earth up until the arrival of our early Australopithecine / Homo ancestors, 500 million years of evolution had taken place. An important point for us was the emergence, from an unknown natural disaster that wiped out the dinosaurs, of a pig-like creature known as the lystrosaur. The lystrosaur slowly evolved into small ape like creatures called australopithecines that made the first steps on the human journey some 15 million years ago. But, for the purpose of this article I will assume that the Homo sapiens contribution to our 'operating system' may have been similar to a present day Chimpanzees' 'operating system'.

How can we prove that this O / S exists? This can be clearly shown when we look at the 'interface' of the O / S and the beginning of our life span on Earth. When we see a new baby for the first time we remark on which features it has inherited from which parent or grandparent. Diplomacy can be important at this time! I have a photograph of my great-great grandfather. Even though the photo is very old, I can see clear resemblances to my father and brother. With the advent of video cameras, future generations will be able to see more clearly the 'similarities' in appearance and mannerisms across the generations.

When a baby is born, the basic survival functions are already there adapted and developed from the earliest circles! A baby just 'knows' how to breath, cry, yawn, suck. If you drop the baby in a swimming pool it will swim. It will also know not to suck and swim at the same time!

It is clear that the new baby has come into the world with characteristics and a memory inherit program that enables it to operate or to live its life as an individual on Earth. A cat will have the characteristics (O / S) of a cat, a swan a swan, etc.

It is very important to recognize that we have inherited this individual O / S. I hope the complexity of our multi-million year old O / S demonstrates just how amazing and precious we all are!

To explain further let us look at how we access our memory. In a computer it is very easy to locate a file, for example a Word document, and open it. But, unlike the logical silicon circuits in computers, our brain or memory is not accessed logically, because it is made up of chemicals that can be easily 'disturbed', so creating many strange phenomena. So, in the Human O / S, is our intelligence, our IQ, a measurement of how easily we can access information from our memory ?!

In the human it is important here to highlight three states of memory – Conscious, unconscious and subconscious. The first two relate to our life span on Earth, the third to our inherited 'operating system'. My definition of conscious is' alert and awake ', the unconscious' forgotten experiences',' still there but no longer aware of '- (meet an old friend, begin to remember forgotten experiences) and the subconscious -' not experienced in our own life-time 'information.

Every second of every day, we subconsciously access our O / S, but there are occasions when we can inadvertently access our O / S consciously, with some interesting results.

Disturbances to our brain cells can be caused by bereavement, illness (fever), drugs (deliberate or accidental), fasting, and sleep deprivation. There are long-term hereditary mental illness problems such as paranoia and schizophrenia, or problems during pregnancy, which can result in conditions such as Autism, Dyspraxia etc.

It is important to recognize that our conscious insights into our subconscious memory (O / S) are all in the memory which we sometimes refer to as the mind! Let us look at some of the amazing results. When we experience deja vu, our minds seem to recall memories based on our experiences. This tricks us into believing there is a displacement of time in our present conscious lives. But I also believe that as a race, we are trying to decipher memories of events that we have not experienced. I think we can accidently introduce our past subconscious information, that is to say, data from our ancestors that is stored in our subconscious memory (O / S) to our present conscious memory.

As far as I know, there is no evidence of anyone touching a ghost but many people have 'seen' ghosts. I believe the memory of the ancestor exists in an individual's subconscious memory (O / S) and under certain conditions the 'video clip' of the ancestor or location can be accessed from the subconscious memory and appears as a 'ghost'. The same process applies to most Unified Flying Objects (UFO) sightings. Many people around the world have 'witnessed' this phenomenon. Some claims UFOs are currently mapping our planet. I think they were doing these 13,000 years ago and where people believe they see UFOs today they are actually seeing an inherited memory hidden in their subconscious.

People who believe they are reincarnations of our ancestors may also be bringing forward memories from a subconscious collective memory. I believe these memories are not resurrected from the individual's own life on Earth but from a database of human history which we all possess in our inherited trans-generation memory genes. In extreme cases, some individuals may find it difficult to lead their lives on Earth because of easy access to information stored in the brain of earlier generations. So, when Arthur Pendragon claims he is the twenty-century reincarnation of King Arthur he is perhaps experiencing flashes of information from this trans-generation subconscious memory, which he has inherited and can not easily control. Some people may believe they are reincarnations and others do not, depending on whether or not they have flashbacks from the trans-generation memory. A computer can also be seen to have 'flashbacks'. We may do a search to find a file and come up with a completely different one that was thought to have been erased several years ago.

Some of us can be party to new ideas andventions that have yet to be launched on the general public. Having this knowledge can give the impression that we can foresee the future.

Apart from having memories, we are also contained in the memories of other people. We may meet someone and be reminded of past experiences and sensations, but in the same way other people will meet us and recollect memories associated with us. Even if we do not have children our ideas are still transferred to consequent generations of people because of the impact we make on our peers and even on pets in our own lifetimes.

Our human tissue, our flesh and blood is comprised of a multitude of chemicals. So our brain or memory tissue is by no means a secure means of storing and retaining data. We can observe this reality as we grow older. The 'links' between the memory cells become weaker and we begin to look back on the memory that is easiest to access, our early memory of our life-span on Earth, our children and those we grow up with .. As we grow ever older we can become very confused as we slip back into information stored in our memory inherited from previous generations. Much of this uttered information does not make sense to even the closest member of the family. Perhaps, in trying to understand inherited memories we will gain a greater understanding of senility.

The silicon chip is a much more stable method of storing information. However, compared to the human brain, this silicon chip technology and the level of complexity is still in its infancy and computer 'hackers' can gain access to the information stored in these silicon circuits. As mentioned previously all sorts of ways and means have been tried to dislodge or in some way manipulate our memory genes, but we are still some way off before we can 'hack' into the hidden memory in the human brain. I think we can try to excavate this knowledge using our imagination in addition to our intelligence.

It is important that we are aware our genetic 'operating system' can be counter productive. Under given conditions we can revert back to fears, beliefs, superstitions, etc., contained in our subconscious memory. Sometimes we experience irrational fears, such as sense of horror when we see spiders, but we have no past experience in our own lives that could explain why we would be so afraid of this creature. This fear is not learnt, it seems to already be within us and is sometimes triggered but we do not know why. Perhaps our phobias and superstitions were once logical to us but during our evolution we have become unclear about why we have these impulses. The knowledge to understand them is still within our subconscious memories but is obscured or has been altered by the addition of more information through the generations. People sometimes suffer so badly from these irrational fears that they try to overcome them using hypnotherapy. Perhaps this works because the hypnotherapist is able to draw out the forgotten knowledge in the patient and match it to the trigger so that it is no longer irrational and therefore alarming. Some among us, for example politicians, religious leaders, psychologists and marketing executives, have learnt how to manipulate our subconscious memories, so beware!

From the origin of life to the present, we slowly evolved, gathering data and developing our senses with each surviving generation. I believe this collection of knowledge and experience is passed on to every human as a kind of 'operating system'. I also believe from the many geniuses and remarkable conventions that we are aware of in our history, it is clear our knowledge is not evolving, but rather it is being rediscovered.

Once we understand we have this amazing 'operating system' stored in our subconscious memory and accept that we are all pretty much equal in terms of our inherited 'trans-generation' data, then we might begin to bridge the formidable barrier between one person's thoughts and those of another.

The great benefit of knowing we have an 'operating system' is that we can appreciate and understand how we operate and begin thinking for ourselves. I believe acknowledging our 'operating system' will move us forward to the next phase of our evolution where we can empower future generations with the knowledge to explore the mysteries of the universe and discover the path to universal love.

Canadians Living With Crohn's Disease Benefit From Using Medical Marijuana

Marijuana, cannabis, marijuana, pot, weed – no matter what it is called, marijuana has been demonized for years as being an evil drug. Despite positive research from universities of study in many countries, medical marijuana (not to be confused with cannabis for recreational use) is still a matter of strong debate. Oddly enough, the debate is hottest not between the general citizens of a country, but between the medical community and the relevant governments.

In places where using medical marijuana is legal, studies are ongoing and often produce results that surprise many in the medical community. Others feel the results only serve to enforce the belief that marijuana is not the demon plant propaganda has said it is.

Canadians and Crohn's Disease
Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis (related to Crohn's disease) are serious problems for more over 170,000 Canadians. In fact, Canada has one of the highest rates of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in the world. Sufferers may have persistent diarrhea, fever, cramping and abdominal pain, and rectal bleeding. Many lose their appetite, which can cause unhealthy weight loss, while some are plagued by nausea and vomiting. Crohn's disease can affect the joints, liver, skin and eyes, as well, and commonly causes great fatigue.

Crohn's disease is chronic; periods of remission are mixed with periods of intense activeness. Unfortunately, the medical community has been unable to find the cause of this disease, although they believe it has to do with an overactive immune system, initially triggered by outside influences. The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) states:

"Many scientists now believe that the interaction of an outside agent (such as a virus or bacterium) with the body's immune system may trigger the disease, or that such an agent may cause damage to the intestinal wall, initiating or accelerating the disease process. "

They further state that, "Because there is no cure for Crohn's disease, the goal of medical treatment is to suppress the inflammatory response. This step accomplishes two important goals: It allows the intestinal tissue to heal and it also relieves the symptoms of fever, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Once the symptoms are under control (this is known as inducing remission), medical therapy is used to decrease the frequency of disease flares (this is known as maintaining remission or maintenance). Much of the traditional medication (the medical therapy referred by CCFA) used to treat Crohn's disease includes a mixture of anti-inflammatory, antibodies, immune modifiers / suppressants and corticosteroids. Indeed, traditional medical treatments become a cornucopia of pharmaceutical concoctions.

As with most man-made medicinal products, each treatment also causes its own symptoms. For instance, the immunosuppressive drugs can cause nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea and vomiting. Steroids also cause these symptoms, with the addition of anxiety and depression, as well as bone thinning, peptic ulcers and other issues with prolonged use.

Mesalamine, an anti-inflammatory, can cause mild side effects like hair loss, headaches and itching. However, it can also cause severe side effects such as pancreatitis, blood disorders, fatigue and tremors. Kidney dysfunction and IBD-like symptoms are also possible.

Medical Marijuana for Canadian Crohn's Disease Sufferers

Thanks to a number of organizations, medical institutions and studies, Canada has relaxed the laws on medical marijuana. It is legal for Canadian Crohn's disease sufferers to have a medical marijuana exemption with a written doctor's prescription.

Many studies have proven that medical marijuana helps as an anti-inflammatory. Users of medical marijuana for Crohn's disease found themselable able to reduce – if not eliminate – the need for steroid treatment and to reduce the immunosuppressive medications, as well as Mesalamine.

A study in 2005 by the University of Bath in England noted that "some extracts from cannabis, known as cannabinoids, closely resemble molecules that occur naturally in our body, and by developing treatments that target this system, we can help the body recover from some of the effects of these diseases. " Although the University does not condone or support the use of medical marijuana, they are focusing on more research to narrow down the actual effects of cannabinoids on Crohn's disease.

For actual Crohn's disease sufferers, however, the evidence is overwhelming. A pilot study by the Society of Cannabis Clinicians, reported at the International Association for Cannabis as Medicine with the following results:

"For all signs and symptoms [of Crohn's disease] evaluated in the study, the patients described marked improvements with the use of cannabis. that cannabis use rejected in weight gain, fewer stools per day and fewer flare-ups of less severity. "

Medical marijuana has been used to increase appetite, decrease depression, anxiety, vomiting and weight loss, as well as used as a pain suppressant for many individuals with other diseases. Multiple sclerosis, chronic pain sufferers and cancer patients have all found these benefits with the use of medical marijuana. Therefore, it is no surprise that cannabis is also being used by Canadians who suffer from Crohn's disease for the same symptoms.

Red Hot Chili Peppers and Penis Enlargement

What do chili peppers have to do with penis enlargement? The reason may surprise you.

One thing that peppers (jalapenos, habaneros, etc.) have is an ingredient called capsaicin. Capsaicin is an irritant to most mammals and this includes human beings. This is why they taste “hot” and burn when you eat them. The burning effect comes from the chemical capsaicin.

Capsaicin has many effects in the body and one of those is vasodilation. Vasodilation is the process in which an artery dilates (or increases in diameter). This increase blood flow, as the larger the diameter of the arteries allows more blood to flow through the arteries.

One of the reasons that peppers are considered an aphrodisiac is due to these effects. By ingesting peppers high in capsaicin, it increases blood flow throughout the body. This includes the pelvic region. As the sex organs are fed by pelvic arteries, increasing the intake of capsaicin will increase the blood flow to these areas and result in an increase in sexual abilities and performance.

Why is this important to penis enlargement? It’s important to penis enlargement, especially if you are utilizing exercises to enlarge yourself, as this increased blood flow will help you enlarge your penis. Most especially during jelqing or “milking” as it is called. This is a method that men utilize to “milk” extra blood into the penile cavities to increase their capacity. By ingesting peppers high in capsaicin, this increases the blood flow to the penis by opening up the arteries that feed the penis with blood. By eating peppers before your enlargement exercises, this will increase the blood flow to your penis and help you get the most out of your efforts.

But like penises, not all peppers are created the same. The amount of capsaicin in a pepper is based on what is called the Scoville Rating. Some peppers are higher in capsaicin than others and you can use this rating to determine which peppers have the highest amount of capsaicin. For example:

Bell Peppers – 0

Pimentos – 100 – 500

Jalapenos – 2,500 – 8,000

Serranos – 10,000 – 23,000

Cayenne Peppers – 30,000 – 50,000

Habaneros – 100,000 – 350,000

As one can see, a jalapeno versus a habanero is not a contest at all, as the habanero has much more capsaicin than the jalapeno.

Most people can’t tolerate eating a raw jalapeno or raw habanero, but they can easily be added to soup or other dishes to add flavor and get capsaicin into you diet without burning your mouth out. Start adding them to your meals before starting your enlargement exercises. They will have positive results on your enlargement program. Most of these peppers can be purchased at your local supermarket.

To learn about Serious Penis Enlargement which isn’t the same rehash of what’s available on the Internet, read IRON MAN PENIS – THE RUSSIAN SYSTEM.

Sincerely,

Georg von Neumann

Deadly Frogs of the Amazon

Deadly Frogs

Who would ever think that a brightly and colorful frog could be so ever dangerous? Well, think again. Deep in the tropical rain forests of South America and in places such as the Amazon or Peru, these deadly bright creatures can instantly kill either a predator who happens to decide to attack them for food or from them being handled by picking them up and the mucus from their skin penetrating into the skin of their unharmed victim. Native Indians or the indigenous people of the Rainforest have used the venom of these creatures either in warfare with neighboring tribes or as a weapon to hunt for their food. The poison emanating from these small, slimy creatures and used by the Native Indians in their dart guns have dropped many an enemy or food source.

Poison Dart Frogs

These frogs are sometimes referred to as "Dart Frogs" or poisonous frogs and are some of the world's most beautiful frogs in the South American rain forest. Dart Frogs are small dwelling frogs and range in size from a few centimeters such as the Strawberry Dart Frog to a little larger than three inches such as the Dyeing Poison Frog. As one can imagine, these frogs are named after the poison they secret from their skin. Tribesman or Indians living in South American used these secretaries to make poison darts. These darts were later used in Tribal Warafare in addition to being used for hunting. There is one type of Dart Frog that stands out as the one that many of the tribes prefer and that farog is called the "Golden Poison Dart Frog." This frog is one of the larger species of Poison Arrow Frog. Like its relative, the Blue Dart Frog, it reaches a length of approximately three inches.

Another type of Dart Frog is the yellow frong and this bright yellow color, it really stand out when traveling through the Rainforest, almost advertising to all animals that come in contact with it how poisonous it can be. It has been estimated that there is enough poison or "Batrachotoxins in its secretions to kill over 10,000 rats or 7 or more human beings. when they took a drink of water that a leaf Terribilils crossed over filled into a bowl or cup of water.

Even those these Dart Frogs are especially venomous, the poison, Batrachotoxins specifically found in the Gold Poison Dart Frog, can benefit mankind. Scientist have been able to isolate a certain component found in their toxins that has been found to be 1000 times more effective than morphine in treating pain with zero addictive properties. But the problem is that scientists are still unsure how these tiny frogs get their toxic characteristics. Scientists have asked themselves, "why is this so?" Many top thinkers believe that these type of poisonous frogs obtain their toxicity from their diet which consist of insects and primarily ants. And to go even further, many feel that these frogs rely on a specific species of plant which also includes fungus. This shows how everything is intertwined with nature in some form or another.

Allergies and Children Health Issues

The thought of children health issues can cause any parent to panic. Any parents' main concern is the health of their child and just the thought of having to deal with an ill child can be very heartbreaking. Most children make it through childhood just fine, but some will come in contact with children health issues.

One of the largest issues to plague kids is allergies. With so many allergens floating in the air, kids are more and more prone to allergies. If parents are given the right health tools, they can help their child learn to live a happy and normal life with any allergy that may be present.

There are many concerns with children health issues in today's society when it comes to allergies. One is dealing with a child who is too young to tell their parents how they feel about a symptom they may have. Many times a child will develop an allergy and if the parents do not know the signs to look for, the child's symptoms can go unnoticed for quite a while.

In the long run, this can bring discomfort to both the child and the parents. However, if a person does a little research on the internet, they can obtain free health information concerning the issue at hand.

Another way that parents can learn to agree with children health issues is to find a resourceful allergy center that will provide accurate information so they can further learn to deal with issues such as negative reactions and asthma. However, if a child has negative reactions symptoms, the best way to accept is to see one's pediatrician. A pediatrician can direct parents and their child on how to muddle through living with an allergy.

Children health issues can be a difficult subject for parents to learn to cope with. However, if the issue at hand is allergies, then parents can put their minds at ease knowing much information and treatment is available. In turn, most kids can go on to enjoy their childhood without having their allergies slow them down and parents can relax and enjoy these precious years.

Where To Find A Good Rabbit Hutch

A good rabbit hutch is a considerable investment and it is well worth researching the different options available. The main considerations when choosing a hutch are size, construction, ease of maintenance and cost. If you are on a limited budget then you need to consider whether a rabbit is the right pet for you as a good rabbit hutch and exercise run is likely to cost around £ 300.

A good rabbit hutch should be made of solid wood (not plywood), be well constructed with no loose nails or screws and have a waterproof roof of solid wood covered with thick roofing felt. It should be on legs or stilts so that it is raised off the ground and should have at least two compartments inside it, one of which is all solid walls to give the rabbit an area to sleep and shelter from bad weather. The door (s) should have thick wire mesh, strong hinges and a secure catch – ideally, you should be able to padlock the door (s). Rabbits have been stolen from hutches and predators, especially foxes, are very capable of breaking into a poorly built rabbit hutch.

The size is extremely important. The minimum recommended hutch size for one rabbit is 6ft x 2ft x 2ft. The rabbit should be able to take three full hops and stretch up on its hind legs. For a pair of rabbits, increase the dimensions as much as possible. If rabbits are not able to hop and stretch up then their bone structure can be severely affected, particularly in young rabbits under a year old who are still developing.

The best rabbit hutch is one which meets the above specifications and is attached to a secure, permanent exercise area of at least 8ft x 4ft x 2ft. The exercise run should be covered at the top as well as the sides with wire mesh and checked frequently to ensure the rabbit is not digging holes at the edges which may allow it to escape.

Rabbits can live for 10 years or more so the cost of a good hutch is well worth it. A solid wood hutch means you will be able to maintain it more easily. It is better to shop around online rather than go to a pet shop. There are many independent retailers selling hutches and you are likely to find one cheaper online than in a shop. You can even get hutches custom-built to your specifications and provide a safe, wonderful home for your rabbits.

How to Heal a Sprained Ankle Quickly

Okay, so you are one of the 25,000 people that sprained their ankle today. You are definitely not alone. And everyone will tell you to elevate your ankle, ice it and rest. Right? That is known as the old RICE routine. Unfortunately, everyone in rehab circles now knows that this form of treatment for a sprained ankle is outdated and pretty much ineffective. It is slow and a very mediocre way to heal an ankle sprain at best. At worst, it does not really heal your ankle at all. Here is why …

First, the main component of this so called ankle treatment is the ice. Well, do you know that ice is only considered clinically effective at reducing boiling for the first 48 hours? That means after 2 days from the injury, ice is not effective. But, unfortunately, very few people understand this very simple fact. And they just keep icing their ankle, hoping it will reduce the swelling. It will not.

Second, rest is a good thing for an injury. No one would debate that. But, rehab pros agree with that 100% rest idea to the exclusion of anything else. Where they differ from everyone else is that rest is not the only thing you should be doing. Rest is good for about 95% of the day. The other 5% needs to be proactive rehab for your ankle. Without that, you can not and will not get your ankle back to full strength. Even when your ankle "feet" better, it will still be very weak and stiff. In fact, did you know that up to 30% of people still have pain in their ankles up to 1 year after an injury?

So, a good ankle sprain rehab program is critical to your healthy recovery. Not only that, it has been shown over and over that a good rehab program will reduce the healing time significantly. For example, the typical recovery time for a sprained ankle with rest and ice is 4-8 weeks. With a good ankle rehab program, you can reduce that to about 3 – 7 days. The body tend to respond incredibly well to good and active rehab techniques.

As I have said, not only does this dramatically reduce healing time, but it also significantly reduces the risk of future ankle. Think about it … your ankle will be much stronger and able to with the twisting forces that cause a sprain. If you do not do anything, your ankle will be weak and stiff for a long time. You will be at a much higher risk of injury without good rehab.

With ankle sprains, you will not be very mobile. So, it is best to find a rehab program you can do easily and at home. Also, you will want the rehab program to address all the issues from the injury (weakness, stiffness, swelling, bruising, scar tissue etc …). The rehab needs to get you back to full health and most importantly, ensure you are at a lower risk of future injury.

The best part about a good rehab program is that it will dramatically reduce your healing time. Instead of a few months, your sprained ankle should be healed up in about a week. That is the beauty of proper rehab.

What's Good For Bruises?

A breeze is basically damage to the skin which leads to some change in its color. There are three types of bruises: subcutaneous (beneath the skin), intramuscular (in the underling muscle), and periosteal (bone bruise). The main symptoms are pain, swelling, and skin discoloration. Breakage of blood vessels which then leak into the skin cause the actual discoloration of tissues. Deep bruises can result from sprains, serious falls or broken bones, while excellent bruises can occur from bumps, pinches or suction on the skin. The change in color is large dependent on the depth of the bruise. As it heals, the bruise usually changes to a bluish color, then a yellow-green, before finally returning to the normal skin color. This change in coloration occurs as dead cells are removed and replaced by the body. It can take from days to weeks for a congratulate to heal depending on the severity and type of breeze.

Certain individuals have a greater susceptibility to developing bruises from an injury. Disorders like anemia and obesity increase the risk of getting bruises. Easily bruised skin can also indicate brittleness in the walls of the blood vessels or problem with blood-clotting. Bruises also also occurs suddenly in some individuals without any apparent cause such as hemophiliacs, persons suffering from leukemia, or if blood-platelet levels are low as a result of using blood-thinning medications. An individual deficient in vitamin C and bioflavonoids is also likely to suffer from brittle blood vessels and is given to developing bruises even from minor injuries.

Some vitamins and herbs are considered beneficial in farming broises. Herbs, and other healing foods, which may be helpful if consumed, include: alfalfa, dandelion, grapes, pineapple, and shavegrass. Vitamins include: C, calcium & magnesium, D, E, K, and zinc. In addition, some herbs may be helpful if applied to the bruise. Herbs, and other healing foods, used externally include: agrimony, banana skins, bay, birch, cage, caraway, celery seed, chamomile, cinnamon, fenugreek, lavender, lemon balm, mullein, oak bark, onion, oregano, parsley, potato , radish, slippery elm, thyme, turmeric, and turnip.

Call your doctor if you are bruising spontaneously without any reason, or if there are signs of infection around the bruised area including streaks of redness, pus or other drainage, or fever. Call your doctor immediately if you feel extreme pressure in a bruised part or your body, especially if the area is large or very painful.
