How to Get Your Pets in on the Fun at Halloween

During Halloween celebrations, many people choose to wear animal costumes of all sorts. Pets can join in the fun by dressing as people. Since pets often become family members in a very real way, going to the spa for treatments and traveling literally everywhere with their owners, it makes sense that pets would don costumes for Halloween, too.

Of course, the pet's owner is going to have more fun dressing up their pet than the animal itself will have. Remember, though, that you know your pet best.

Some pets do not like wearing clothes at all. If they are showing signs of stress or frustration, do not force your pet to wear a costume.

Pets will do best with unrestrictive, flexible costumes. Hats, crowns, and other headgear are usually alright in addition to some sort of clothing that can be tied around their midsection, although it should be loose.

It is best to leave pet costumes simple. If they become too complex, the animal could decide that they do not want to have it on and rip up the outfit in the end anyway.

The Internet is the best place to find Halloween pet costumes, although they are also available in many pet stores as the holiday approaches. Online costume sources often have pages devoted to just pet costumes, which sizes are usually based off of weight.

Before putting your pet's new costume on them, be sure to look for any pieces that they might be able to get tied up in or swallow. Most costumes are made to be safe for pets, but you should always double check.

After all the hard work you will have done to find a costume and get it onto your pet, the most difficult part is sure to be getting the perfect picture. Though some pets will be good and sit quietly while you take a picture, for most it will require quite some effort to get your pet to calm down long enough for you to enjoy their costume.

Your Irritable Or Clingy Child May Be Celiac

Celiac disease is a digestive disorder that damages the lining of the small intestine so that nutrients are not properly absorbed. It can also cause mild to severe abdominal pain and discomfort, a range of health problems.

While a person can be sensitive or allergic to gluten, they may not have full blown celiac disease. A person who is sensitive to gluten may get abdominal bloating and pain that are relived when gluten is eliminated from the diet. However, in those with celiac disease, the gluten ateen in wheat, rye or barley triggers a defensive reaction in the immune system, causing it to damage the lining of the small intestine.

The immune system destroys the tiny protrusions (called villi) that line the small intestine.
Without these villi, nutrients can not be absorbed into the bloodstream, and the body becomes malnourished, even though the person may be eating enough good quality food. A person whose villi have been damaged will probably have trouble digesting milk foods as well, so it is not unusual for those with celiac disease to also be lactose intolerant.

Many researchers suspect that celiac disease is much more precalent in children than was previously realized. It runs in families, so children whose parents have celiac disease are at high risk of developing it.

Symptoms and signs in children

The effects of celiac disease on children are of great concern, yet the disease is not always easy to diagnose. For one thing, although children of celiac mothers are often small, even in the womb, a child may not show symptoms of the disease, or they may only show up later in life, sometimes only beginning when the child is under stress, for instance , after a viral infection or surgery, or at a time of great emotional distress.

Furthermore, symptoms do not only occur in the digestive system, and can easily be misdiagnosed. For example, one child may have frequent diarrhea and show signs of abdominal pain, while another child just looks particularly irritable. In fact, irritability is one of the most common symptoms in children.

Typical symptoms of celiac disease to look for in children are:
– failure to thrive
– stunted growth
– low weight
– bloating
– diarrhea
– constipation
– loss of muscle, and
– irritability.

Small children with celiac disease may have diarrhea (including blood diarrhea), abdominal pain and nausea. They may develop mouth ulcers, skin rashes, anemia, and have a distended tummy. They may be withdrawn, clingy or irritable; have poor appetite, and remain small and thin. In older children, celiac disease may delay puberty and also cause hair loss.

Like adults, affected children can also develop osteoporosis or autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. Children with Type 1 diabetes are at higher risk of celiac disease, and research indicates that up to 10 percent of children with Down syndrome also have it. The nature of the relationship between these disorders is not yet understood, and could be partly due to genetics.

Contributing Factors

We do know that at least 1 in 10 children of celiac parents will develop the disease, but as well as genetic factors, research suggests that the infant's diet effects the development of celiac disease.

Symptoms have been found to occur later, and to be less severe in breastfed children, especially those who breastfed for longer. According to the National digestive diseases information clearinghouse (NDDIC), "Some studies have shown … that the longer a person was breastfed, the later the symptoms of celiac disease appear and the more uncommon the symptoms".

It is widely suspected that gluten can actually damage the infant's immature digestive system. Later introduction of foods containing wheat, rye or barley (and possibly oats, because they are often contaminated with wheat) until at least until 4 months of age when the infant's digestive system is more developed seems to delay and reduce the development of celiac disease in children, as does eating less gluten. Children introduced to wheat, barley or rye before or at 3 months were found to be 5 times as likely to develop the celiac disease than children brought to those foods after 4 to 6 months.

It can also be helpful to delay the child's introduction to dairy, which can also damage the immature digestive system, thereby increasing the risk that the child will become gluten intolerant, if not celiac.

Earlier, I mentioned another contributing factor to the development of celiac disease: stress. Both physiological and psychological trauma or severe stress have been known to trigger the onset of celiac disease in children or adults. Infections, surgery, prolonged illness or severe emotional stress overtax the immune system. A stressed immune system can overreact to the gluten in the lining of the small intestine, resulting in celiac disease.

What to do for your Celiac child

The only known solution for celiac disease is total avoidance of gluten to allow the digestive system to heal. Non-celiac cases of simple sensitivity or allergy to gluten can often be successfully treated with various desensitization remedies and holistic therapies such as the BioFAST Allergy Free System, but even then, gluten must be eliminated from the diet until treatment is completed.

Many parents are alarmed when told they must eliminate gluten from their child's diet, but really, it is not as difficult as it may first seem. It is my experience that most of us eat far too much wheat anyway, causing undue stress on the body and clogging the system.

I generally recommend a diet higher in vegetables, fruits, high quality protein, and only moderate amounts of non-wheat whole grains, such as brown rice, quinoa, and oats. Millet, amaranth and buckwheat are also free of gluten.

A gluten-free diet that is also high in vegetables, especially lots of raw vegetables, will not only eliminate the symptoms of celiac disease and allow the digestive system to heal; it also creates the right internal acid-alkaline balance for optimal health. Plus, patients repeatedly report that they have more energy and feel lighter without gluten … or much dairy, for that matter.

It is advisable to eliminate or reduce dairy to reduce stress on the gut until it has been allowed to heal. In addition, it may be necessary to help the damaged gut to heal and to support digestive processes with probiotic and enzyme supplements. Even infants can benefit from these supplements. Talk to your nutritionist or natural health practitioner about which supplements are best for your child.

  • Panic disorder : This indicates to symptoms in which there are sudden apprehensive feelings that are of such an extent that they could be described as terror. It is accompanied by trembles and shakes, confusion and dizziness, along with nausea. People who experience this disorder may even have difficulty breathing.
  • Phobias : This anxiety disorder has a specific trigger; something has to happen before the anxiety kicks in and overreacts.
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder : Sufferers experience reflecting thoughts and compulsions, which means that they have to do things Repeatedly to such an extent that it interferes with their daily lives.
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder : Genetics and trauma is said to be what causes anxiety disorders in people who have gone through domestic violence, military experience, and foster care. But drug misuse may also worsen the disorder.
  • Separation anxiety : It mostly affects very young children and is psychological in nature; it is a fear of being separated from a loved one, such as one's parents.
  • Situational anxiety : It is an excessive and reactionary fear to change, but it is a place or an event.
  • Social anxiety disorder : This refers to a fear of social situations, and symptoms include difficulty expressing oneself, blushing, and sweating.

Drugs, stress, and genetics, are some explanations of what causes anxiety disorders . Alcohol and caffeine both have properties that can exponentially increase anxiety. Abstinence from such drinks will improve most cases of anxiety. Although these causes appear to be strictly physical, an anxiety disorder can also have environmental origins; people who have had traumatic life experiences during their childhood or youth may feel excessive anxiety as a form of self-defense from an environment they believe poses the same threats that they've experienced before. Now that you have a general idea of how anxiety disorders are classified, look up each one specifically to learn about them more in depth.

Effective Male Yeast Infection Treatment

So, you've noticed that you've acquired a few sores on your penis, and sometimes some swelling and even some discharge, but certainly it can not be a yeast infection, because after all, that's something that only women get. Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but men can get it as well, particularly if you're not circumcised and you've had an interview with an infected partner. So the vital next step is to find yourself an effective male yeast infection treatment that eliminates the root cause for good.

Have you only just become infected?

You need to bear in mind that even though the obvious signs have only just recently appeared, including the symptoms such as redness, tenderness, infection, sores, rash, and discharge, the infection could have begun quite some time ago. Apart from these common tell-tale signs, there are also several other symptoms associated with male yeast infection. In fact, you may have experienced some of the symptoms but never keep them a second thought. Some of the other symptoms include, but are not limited to those listed below.

o Constipation
o Dry brittle hair and / or nails
o Insomnia
o Bloating
o Chronic fatigue
o Food cravings (especially sugary foods)
o Lack of energy
o Unexplained rashes
o Inability to concentrate

These are just a few of the symptoms which could indicate that a yeast infection has begun to set in.

Male yeast infection treatment

If you've been searching online for information regarding male yeast infection treatment, then you've no doubt come across a wealth of information. You've probably also begun thinking that while your condition needs to be treated, it's not exactly serious. For your own sake, you need to get to that thought out of your head. Bear in mind that if left untreated, a yeast infection can ever find its way into your blood stream, and when it does, there's a strong possibility that it will infect some of your internal organs, such as your heart, your lungs, your kidneys , your eyes, and even your brain. In this case, it is deemed to be a systemic infection, and the bottom line is; there's a strong possibility that you could die from it.

Depending on your own personal views and opinions, you can purchase over-the-counter medication in order to treat yourself at home, although it's worth mentioning that practically all the different medications available will only aim to eliminate the symptoms, rather than the actual cause of the infection.

Alternately, your doctor may be willing to prescribe certain drugs and / or creams for male yeast infection treatment, and although these are for the most part more powerful than OTC treatments, they also carry more risk in terms of possible side effects. Additionally, apart from potential side effects, prescription drugs will also only treat the symptoms, in that they simply are not designed to tackle the actual cause.

You've no doubt also read about many of the home remedies said to be an effective male yeast infection treatment? Here again, nobody is saying that some of these remedies do not help, because in actual fact, they do, but just as with medications, they also tend to address the symptoms rather than the underlying cause.

Considering just how serious the condition can ever become, it only stands to reason that you should think very carefully before you place your trust in male yeast infection treatments which are only able to provide you with short term results. Instead, you should ideally choose a solution which can offer you relief within a very short space of time, while at the same time being able to cure the condition completely and permanently in a safe and natural manner.

Ankle Sprains

Ankle sprains are a common risk for anyone, especially for athletes and those who exercise regularly. The ankle is a complex area joint and because of its position, it is at a great risk for injury. Sprains are the most common injury for an ankle, but there are different types of sprains and they each have different effects on the joint. Before you can effectively treat an ankle injury, you will need to know how to identify each type.

The Basics of an Ankle Sprain

Ankle injuries are often misunderstood. Many people confuse sprains and strains, but these are two very different injuries. Strains involve a teasing of the muscle or tendon while sprains are more common and they involve a tearing of the ligament as the result of a severe twist. Ligaments different from muscles or tendons in that they attach bone to bone while the others attach muscle to bone.

The ankle joint has several different ligaments that keep it in place and keep the body stable. Most of the ligaments are positioned on the outside of the ankle, but there are a few on the inside, too. The three main ones are the anterior talofibular, the posterior talofibular and the calcaneofibular ligaments.

First Degree Ankle Sprains

Ankle sprains fit into three categories. A first degree ankle sprain is the least sever of the three. The injured ankle in this situation may lose some joint stability as the result of a minor stretching of the ligament, but the injury does not last long. The person may also feel some slight pain and stiffness in the joint.

Second Degree Ankle Sprains

With a second degree sprain, the ligaments get stretched more and there is usually some slight teething that occurs, too. The ankle area swells up and there is more pain than with a first-degree sprain. The ankle joint also loses stability with this category.

Third Degree Ankle Sprains

Finally, a third degree sprain is the most serious and causes the most pain and swelling. In this case, at least one of the ligaments in the ankle joint gets completely torn. Massive pain, swelling and instability accompaniment the third degree sprain and it takes longest to recover from this one, too. Ironically, though, since one or more of the ligaments get severed, the nerve endings lose feeling in the ankle area and the extreme pain generally disappears soon after the injury occurs.

Applying Ice to Your Injury

Applying ice to an injured joint is one of the best things you can do to help it recover. It is the second step in the vital RICER method, but it provides the best relief for pain, bleeding and swelling. There are some things to remember when applying ice to an injured ankle, though. Remember these tips to enhance and enable a full recovery without causing any more problems in the process.

  • Apply the ice to the injured ankle as soon as possible after it happens. Rest your ankle on a pillow or an elevated area before applying the ice.
  • Crushed ice in a plastic bag works best on an injured ankle. It conforms to the area and it rests there without you needing to hold it. Other forms of ice, such as ice cubes, cold packs, frozen vegetables and others can also be used in a pinch, but crushed ice is ideal.
  • Do not apply the ice directly to the skin. You could damage your skin with ice burns or other types of damage. Wrap it in a damp towel first to provide a barrier between your skin and the ice.
  • Apply ice to the injured ankle for about 20 minutes every two hours. Do this for the first few days. If you are sensitive to cold, you can decrease the amount of time you apply ice to your skin. Elderly people, children and people with circulatory problems are also sensitive to ice, so keep this in mind if you are helping them recover from an ankle injury.
  • Use your own jurisdiction when applying ice to your own ankle. If you can tolerate the cold, leave the ice on for as long as you can stand it. Athletes typically leave the ice on injured ankles and joints much longer than 20 minutes. On the other hand, if the ice causes extreme pain, leave it on the injured ankle for only a few minutes at a time. A few minutes are better than not applying the ice at all.
  • Do not rotate ice and heat. Heat can slow the healing process and even cause more damage.

Do not overlook the importance of ice in the recovery process for an injured ankle. It is a vital part for a full rehabilitation. Following these ice-related procedures is the best way to take care of a sprained ankle or any other joint injury.

Once a sprained ankle has healed, there will usually be some bruising and ruptured blood vessels that still remain for a while. Stretching and warm up exercises lessen the risk of a sprained ankle, but the injury can still occur as the result of accidents or simple carelessness. If an ankle injury occurs, seek professional help immediately to reduce the risk of damage and long-term effects.

Avoiding Penis Injury From Bruising

The penis is one of a guy’s most important body parts – indeed, to some it is THE most important one – and so men want to be sure to avoid anything that can result in a penis injury. One of the most common kinds of penis injury is that which results from bruising of the organ. Knowing what can cause bruising helps man avoid this penis injury.

Common reasons for penis bruising

There is any number of things that can result in bruising to the penis, including:

– Blunt force. When the penis receives a sharp, hard blow of any kind, it can result in bruising – just as such blunt force results in a bruise on any other part of the body. This is a common cause of bruising among athletes, which is why wearing an athletic supporter with a plastic cup is recommended when engaging in heavy duty contact sports. The last thing a guy wants is a line-drive baseball coming into contact with a totally unprotected penis.

– Priapism. Although men joke about wishing they could stay erect for days on end, priapism – a condition in which a man maintains a painful erection for four or more hours -is no joke. Priapism can cause serious damage to penile tissue and result in erectile dysfunction – as well as in serious bruising. Seeking medical help in cases of priapism is crucial.

– Masturbation. Everyone loves a good masturbation session, but sometimes a guy can get a little too intense with his self-fondling. Using a death grip, ignoring the need for lubrication (and re-lubrication during lengthy masturbation sessions), or slapping or pounding the penis may result in an intense orgasm – but it may also leave behind bruising which may take days to heal. Being mindful of how aggressively one is masturbating can help prevent this from occurring.

– Partner sex. As with masturbation, engaging in sex that is too rough and/or unlubricated can result in bruising the penis. Keeping friction at the right level can help prevent this.

– Injections. Injecting a substance into the penis can result in trauma and bruising. Sometimes a man may receive an injection under a doctor’s care to help with an erectile issue. In some instances, the injection may not be done properly (especially if not performed by a qualified medical professional) and in these cases, some bruising may result.

What to do for bruising

So a man gets a penis injury resulting in bruising. What should he do?

First, if the bruising is severe, he needs to consult a doctor and get expert advice. If the bruising is mild, he may try the following:

Start with making it cool. A cool (but not cold) compress can be applied to the affected area for 15-20 minutes at a time. Don’t use ice; instead, soak a washcloth is cool water and wrap it around the area. Do this for the first day after receiving the injury. If the bruising is still there on day two, switch to using a warm compress. And using over-the-counter pain relievers is also advised.

A penis injury such as penile bruising often will also benefit from keeping the penis in its best health, so continue to daily use a first class penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). The sore skin will want to be soothed, so find one that contains both a high end emollient (such as shea butter) and a natural hydrating agent (such as vitamin E). Penis skin also needs to be strengthened, so find a crème that includes a potent antioxidant, such as alpha lipoic acid. This will help to fight free radicals and limit damage due to oxidative stress.

What Is Digital Spine Analysis?

The Digital Spine Analysis (DSA) is the first clinically accepted test for measuring spine function. It is a revolutionary diagnostic tool that reveals what standard imaging tests like X-rays and MRIs cannot. The DSA is a very precise test that measures the strength, mobility and balance of all the elements of the spine’s muscular components. This provides the doctor with a complete and accurate functional profile of the patient’s spine.

Why DSA?

Back pain is usually associated with a deficiency in proper spine function. This is due to the inability of the spine to cope up with the ‘load’ of an active lifestyle. Effective treatment of back pain starts with the accurate diagnosis of the cause of back pain. Hence, a complete functional test of the spine, in addition to the examination of the anatomy of the spine, is necessary. This is where the DSA becomes extremely important.

To draw a parallel from our everyday life, consider the testing done for a heart problem – a stress test is done in addition to other anatomical tests that show the structure of the heart – so the root cause of heart trouble is diagnosed or in the case of the eye, a vision test is done in addition to the anatomical tests to diagnose and treat the problem accurately. In both examples, the function is as important as the structural problems.

How is the DSA more effective than other forms of diagnosis?

Published medical research clearly indicates that MRIs and X-rays fail to provide a clear diagnosis for the cause of back pain in 85% of cases. This means 85% people don’t get to know why they have back pain. The reason for this misdiagnosis is the use of structural testing in place of functional testing. X-rays and MRIs can only identify structural changes in the spine and thus, fail to identify the actual cause of the problem. It is only logical that treatment based on such diagnosis provides only short-term symptomatic relief.

Unlike conventional anatomical diagnosis of the spine, the DSA provides a thorough and accurate diagnosis of the functional deficiencies based on bio-feedback. This bio-feedback can be compared to the feedback of a stress test of the heart. The DSA tests your spine based on 21 different diagnostic parameters. The report that the test generates enables our specially trained Spine Consultants to identify the root cause of back pain and devise a patient-specific treatment protocol.

What is the diagnosis process?

Clinical assessment

The process begins with an elaborate consultation with one of our spine consultants where a detailed case history is taken for thorough understanding.

The consultation is followed by a digitally administered diagnostic test called the Digital Spine Analysis. This test determines the functional ability of the patient’s spine including the strength, flexibility and balance of all its muscular components.

Root cause diagnosis

The results of this test are used to diagnose the condition of the patient’s spine and identify the root cause of the pain or discomfort that the patient experiences. Finally, a targeted treatment program is devised based on both the initial consultation and the test findings. This program is very specific to the spinal deficiencies of the patient and helps to reverse the cause and provide a permanent solution to their back pain.

Pancreas – Natural Approach For Health

Possible Pancreatic Problems

The pancreas is a vital component of the digestive process. But it is an organ that few people think about until a pancreatic problem enters their lives. If the pancreas is damaged in any way, the entire process of digestion will be disrupted.

The pancreas has two major functions: secreting hormones into the blood stream to process glucose, and producing digestive enzymes in the duodenum that allow the body to break down food as it moves from the stomach to the intestines. Inactive digestive enzymes travel from the pancreas, through the pancreatic duct, into the Ampulla of Vater.

The Ampulla of Vater is a small holding chamber, which regulates the flow of digestive juices into the duodenum, the first part of the small intestine. In the Ampulla of Vater the pancreatic enzymes meet up with bile from the liver to form a strong digestive cocktail. At this stage, the pancreatic digestive enzymes mix with the liver bile and in duodenum become activated and ready to digest proteins, fat and carbohydrates.

The Ampulla of Vater slowly allows digestive juices into the duodenum via a small muscles valve called the Sphinster of Oddi. The sphincter opens to allow digestive juices flow into the duodenum, then closes when the duodenum has enough pancreatic juices. The Sphinster of Oddi also prevails the reentry of active digestive juices back into the Ampulla of Vater once they have already moved into the duodenum.

When the liver and / or gallbladder have problems with the secretion or the elimination of bile, then a problem occurs in the Ampulla of Vater. Often there is too much solid bile with the sand or gallstones being released, which makes it difficult for the Sphinster of Oddy to move it all into the intestines. The Ampulla of Vater is just a small area, so if it becomes too full and begins to swell, then digestive juices are puffed back up into the pancreatic duct. If they go far enough up the duct, they finally return to the pancreas where they become trapped.

When the active digestive juices become trapped in the pancreas, they begin to digest and break down the body's own pancreatic cells. The digestion of the pancreatic cells causes pain, inflammation, congestion, cysts, and the eventual death of the pancreatic tissue. The pancreatitis begins.

Another pancreatic problem arises because digestion needs to take place in a slightly alkaline environment. A healthy pancreas produces substantial amounts of sodium bicarbonate, which neutralizes acids. Sodium bicarbonate shields the duodenum through neutralizing the acid coming from the stomach. The sodium bicarbonate also contains the optimum environment for the normal function of digestive enzymes, and for the proper function of the Sphinster of Oddi.

The proper function of the Sphincter of Oddi is essential when battling pancreatitis. Scientists consider Sphinster of Oddi Dysfunction (SOD) one of the main reasons for pancreatic diseases. What is 'Leaky Gut' and How Can You Tell If You Have It?

Your bowel is really just a long muscular tube, lined on the inside and criss crossed with blood vessels and nerve endings. The bowel wall is both a barrier and a filter; a barrier to all the substances in your gut that you do not want in your bloodstream; and a filter to let in valuable food and water molecules only.

The inside of your bowels looks rather like a shag-pile carpet covered with a thick layer of protective mucus. The technical name for the shag-pile carpet is villi. It greatly increases the amount of surface area available for absorption. The mucus is there to help the contents slide along, and also to protect the sensitive villi.

Although your stomach does the best it can to ensure that what enters your bowel is just food, sometimes nasties get through, like undigested protein molecules, bugs or parasites.

When you are under stress, production of this protective layer of mucus slows or stops, leaving your villi bare and unprotected. The front line cells are the epithelial cells that make up the outer layer of the villi. Although they are completely replaced every few days, they are sensitive.

Cells making up the villi are normally held together by special junctions. In your bowel these are tight junctions, reflecting the need to maintain an integral barrier. Selected food molecules are passed through the epithelial cells and everything else should remain within the bowel tube.

If something irritates or damages the epithelial cells, they become inflamed. Imagine for a moment when you last grazed your knee. The area became red and swollen almost immediately. This happened because blood vessels and other cells certainly moved apart to allow healing substances from your bloodstream into the wound area. When the inflammation and debris was cleared, the cells moved back into place again and the blood vessels sealed up.

A similar thing happens when your bowel wall is inflamed. The cells swell and move apart. Alas, by doing this, they are going to allow non food particles into your bloodstream, and set up a new immune reaction in your bloodstream. This is why its called leaky gut.

Your body may show signs of this in own own individual fashion; for some people its skin rashes, for others mood swings, or just feeling blah. Some people find their bowel motions are affected, some not.

You can now test whenever you have a leaky gut by asking your naturopath for an intestinal permeability functional pathology test. This will tell you scientifically whether you really do have a leaky gut, and if so, how serious it is.

To seal a leaky gut, you need to replenish that protective mucosal layer inside your bowel wall, and give the epithelial cells on the villi a chance to heal. The methods for achieving this depend on your symptoms, but treatment always includes stress management, and excludes any foods that you might be intolerant of. A treatment plan is always based on your individual symptoms.

About 1 in 1000 women will develop a cyst during pregnancy. In many cases it may just dissolve by itself, but it might become a cause of great concern if it grows and becomes painful. When the cyst becomes large there is a chance that it may rupture and twist, causing severe pain. If a cyst is 6 – 8 cm or larger there will usually be a couple of weeks of bed rest and careful watch to see if it will shrink on its own. However, a cyst that large will usually be removed surgically.

The danger in a large ovarian cyst during pregnancy is that that it can be so painful that it may produce a miscarriage and preterm delivery of the baby. This is especially true of polycystic ovaries, ones that have many cysts. The best time to perform surgery is during the second trimester, at about 14 to 16 weeks. Sometimes laparoscopy may be used to remove the cyst, but very large cysts will require an open incision to remove them. Even though surgery is not recommended during pregnancy, at this point, it may be the safest alternative for mom and baby.

You can take precautions that are very beneficial to treat your cysts at home. Natural treatment of ovarian cysts will help shrink your cysts and prevent your body from forming more cysts. By changing your diet and incorporating some supplements and vitamins, you will be able to heal your body and stop copying cysts. Learn how to take part in your own healing.
