Beginning Signs Of Diabetes – First 8 Warning Signs Of Diabetes

Diabetes is a serious condition that is lifelong and life threatening if not treated with respect. In the United States alone, it is estimated that over 20 million individuals suffer from this disease. Of those, it is estimated that at least 6 million have not been diagnosed. That is a lot of people that have diabetes and are not aware they have this disease.

What are the beginning signs of diabetes to look for ?

Many individuals discover they are diabetic only when they visit their family doctors for other ailments. It are these early warning signs of diabetes that many people attribute to other conditions.

1. Frequency of urination – This happens when blood sugar levels are raised, increasing the amount of blood flowing through the kidneys. Many people, as they get older, will experience increased urination problems. They write this condition off as growing older. When diabetes is the cause, it needs to be diagnosed. Left untreated, diabetes can lead to the kidneys failing and shutting down.

2. Extreme hunger – Because of the lack of insulin the body is not producing, the body receives signals it is hungry. This symptom is experienced when the body’s energy is deficient from not receiving enough insulin from the blood stream to the cells.

3. Unexplained, or sudden weight loss – When the body is not receiving enough cellular energy, the body begins to break down it’s own fat and muscle to replace the energy, the body is lacking.

4. Fatigue – Feeling tired and rundown is caused by the decreased energy levels.

5. Depression and irritability are no experienced as a result of the above symptom the body is going through because of the diabetes.

6. Extreme thirst is also triggered due to the diabetes depleting the body of energy.

7. Impaired vision can also be experienced as a symptom of diabetes when more blood volume leads to the eye’s lens swelling. When diabetes is left untreated, blindness can be experienced.

8. Loss of feeling or numbness, usually in the feet, legs, arms or hands areas of the body. Experiencing any of these symptoms in any of these areas can be a warning sign of diabetes.

If you are experiencing any of the beginning signs of diabetes, you should get tested. Testing for diabetes is also recommended for individuals that are over forty-five years of age and overweight. Diabetes and pre-diabetes testing is diagnosed by checking the blood glucose levels of a person’s blood.

These symptoms and others will progress in time and get more critical if the diabetes is present and goes undiagnosed and untreated. These beginning signs of diabetes should not be ignored. As this disease progresses, more complications will arise, putting your life in jeopardy.

This is not a disease that will go away by itself. Diabetes will only progress if not treated. In the United States, diabetes is sixth leading cause of death. To learn more about this disease, you can contact the American Diabetes Association online.

Sore Penis Solutions: Soothing the Skin After Masturbation

About 90 percent of American men admit that they masturbate. It’s considered a healthy, normal and natural way to burn off a little steam when a sexual partner isn’t available or just isn’t interested. There are times, however, when this normally healthful activity can lead to real pain. Very vigorous movements are often to blame, leaving the penis feeling chafed, irritated and sore. Penis care can help restore that vital organ to its former glory, and amending hand positions and techniques when the next round of playtime arrives could keep the problem from occurring in the future.

Rough Handling of the Skin Leads to Big Problems

Common injuries attributed to masturbation have to do with friction. Fast skin-on-skin contact can be incredibly pleasurable, but tiny tissue tears can form after just a few minutes of this sort of movement. Similarly, some men use a very tight grip during their play sessions, and they twist and contort the penis in the process. This kind of action can be very damaging, leading to the buildup of scar tissue that could make future erections more difficult to achieve.

Since sex can lead to pain, some might wonder why men they don’t just stop at the first sign of damage. The inner workings of the brain are at fault here. Researchers have found that the pituitary gland is active during sex, releasing chemicals that can reduce the sensation of pain. This little gland might allow a man to do a fair amount of damage during a masturbation session that he doesn’t feel at all while he’s in the moment. When all of the chemicals of sex have washed away, however, the skin might flood the sleepy brain with signals of intense pain, and that can last for days.

Amending the Technique

If skin-on-skin contact is bad, poor lubrications might be even worse. Harsh soaps or gooey hand lotions are easy to grab for a furtive session, but these products often contain ingredients that can be much too harsh for the delicate penis, including:

  • Fragrances
  • Dyes
  • Anti-bacterial agents
  • Lye

Personal lubricant products, sold in most major pharmacies, can help provide a barrier and they have been specifically formulated for use in intimate areas of the human body. These might be better choices when the urge to strike sets in.

Men who want to reach the finish line as quickly as possible before they’re caught or before they’re late for a pressing appointment often use tugging and twisting motions. Setting aside time to do the job right might be key for these men, as they’ll be able to focus on more sensual, enticing movements that take a bit longer to achieve results. A little experimentation might be in order for men who know of no other way to achieve an orgasm without really yanking on their equipment. In time, even hard-core abusers can find techniques that bring them pleasure now and no pain later.

Soothing Sore Skin

Men who are struggling with pain now, due to a forceful session that just took place, will need to abstain from sexual activities until they heal. A few days of breathing room can allow the rough, sore skin to mend. In the interim, proper penis care can help to speed that healing process along. A warm rinse, followed by a quick wipe with soap and another rinse, should be enough to clean the penis. No scrubbing with a washcloth or loofah will be required. After this gentle cleaning, a penis health crème (most experts recommend Man 1 Man Oil) can deliver vitamins and minerals to the skin, providing the cells with the nutrients they need as they heal.

OPI Fungus Fix Reviews – Should You Believe Them?

Nail fungus is, unfortunately, an extremely common occurrence with thousands and thousands of people battling this relatively harmless but irritating condition on a regular basis. Finding a truly effective means of curing nail fungus can be quite the challenge especially when there are many varying degrees of infection ranging from the mild to the severe. Although a few prescription drugs are available for treating fungus they come along with a host of serious side effects. As a result, over the counter (OTC) products for the treatment of nail fungus are plentiful with many different brands to choose from.

Although it is no longer being produced by its manufacturer, OPI Fungus Fix is one such OTC product that can still be found at some retailers now and during the upcoming months until their respective stocks are depleted. This topical treatment was marketed as an over the counter treatment for curing nail fungus in spite of it being more of a cosmetic product rather than an actual medical treatment, so could it really be an effective means of putting an end to nail fungus once and for all, and if so, why isn’t it being made any more?

About OPI Fungus Fix

OPI Fungus Fix was made by the family owned OPI Company founded in the US by European immigrants in 1981 which has become a leader in the beauty industry as the creator of nail care products and its widely popular nail lacquers.

Fungus Fix must be used on a regular basis and the recommended application is twice per day although no side effects have been reported from using it more often than that. The ingredients of this gentle, salon style serum include undecylenoyl glycine and usinc acid.

The Pros and Cons of OPI Fungus Fix

The stellar reputation of OPI products is unrivaled thanks to its nearly 20 years as a manufacturer and seller of professional beauty products. Fragrance free and non-irritating, the liquid OPI Fungus Fix treatment was once widely available at pharmacies and nail salons throughout the US as well as through the popular online retailer Amazon.com. The average price was $14 for a one ounce bottle at the time of this writing making it an inexpensive treatment option.

OPI Fungus Fix also received several rave reviews from those who say they have used the product and experienced favorable results, although some have noted having difficulties contacting customer service with their concerns or questions. The manufacturer also reported dramatic improvements with usage in as little as two to three weeks for most cases, which is definitely considerably less time than most OTC claim to need before a cure is achieved.

So should you waste time trying to find OPI Fungus Fix or would you better off using that time to find another product that will not only be available in the future but also be effective in curing even the most stubborn cases of nail fungus?

Fungus Fix by OPI was certainly a good product with several success stories scattered online, although we haven’t been able to verify some of the more extraordinary claims that exist including the statement regarding its ability to cure nail fungus in as few as three weeks. A three week cure sounds rather incredible based on the medical facts regarding nail fungus and only those with a very mild to moderate case should expect some relief during such a short period of time as a complete and total cure simply isn’t possible in 21 days.

In conclusion, your best course of action would be to look into all possible treatment options which will help to save yourself some time, money, and a whole lot of effort while attempting to cure your nail fungus especially since OPI Fungus Fix is no longer being made.

Sinus Drainage – The Allergy Factor

One common ailment that affects millions is sinus drainage. In many cases this can be dealt with successfully. A few tips offered here could make the difference between this sinus misery and being free from it. Frankly, the answer could be simpler than many think. For example consider allergies.

House dust

There are many types of house dust–at least this is what an allergy specialist will tell you. Some people have cats and/or dogs living inside their homes and inherit their pets’ dander. Some of us, don’t have pets. This is one reason why dust may vary from house to house. One way to find out if you are allergic to house dust is to get real close to the carpet or floor and breath in some of the dust and see what happens. Often, depending on how allergic you may be to it, the reaction is almost instantaneous. Or it may take a few minutes to manifest itself. If you are not sure of the result you can see an allergy specialist and most likely he would be glad to run a test on several kinds of house dust and see which one you may be allergic to. The test is done on the arm by injecting a small amount of serum from house dust.

Plant pollens

You may be allergic to a few pollens or to many and in various degrees. If you suspect a specific flower from shrubs, trees, weeds, etc., that you may be allergic to get real close to it and sniff some of the pollen and see what happens. In some cases the reaction is quite potent, so you may want to approach the plant or tree gradually before breathing deeply close to it. As with house dust there are tests that can be administered to find out for sure the degree of any allergy to pollens. I was allergic to several pollens and once I began to receive allergy injections on a regular basis for several weeks my sinus drainage was reduced by about 80 percent.

Chemicals

Our modern society demands a variety of chemicals to make our lives more comfortable. The problem is that some of them can be quite potent and produce allergic reactions in certain persons. Certain brands of bath soaps, laundry detergents, deodorants, bath room cleansers, room fresheners, etc., could be the cause of an allergic reaction that in turn triggers the sinus drainage. So you may want to experiment a bit and see if any of these items could have a chemical or other substance that is at least part of the cause of your excessive sinus drainage.

Conclusion

It usually pays to be observant and willing to spend some time checking elements in your environment which you could be allergic to and that are the main cause of your excessive sinus drainage.

Agitated Depression – The 6 Unique Symptoms

Most people have never heard of agitated depression but it does exist. It reveals itself in a way that is indicative of its name – moods of irritability, short temper and aggravation. Often times the condition presents itself as an anger management issue as the individual will have outbursts of anger and rage.

Often times, the underlying feeling that they have is that they are misunderstood and that no one knows how they are feeling. This type of depression is a hypo-manic depression meaning they exhibit hypo-manic behavior.

Even in cases of other depressions, such as major depressive disorder, there can be levels of irritability, aggravation and agitation. However, when it comes to agitated depression, these moods are enhanced and more pronounced. Moods of irritability and agitation are just a few of the classic symptoms of agitated depression. There are many other symptoms as well and understanding them will make it easier to understand and diagnose. It’s important to note that these symptoms also present themselves in cases of manic depressive disorder so sometimes diagnosing can be a bit tricky.

The assumed anger management issues also pose a problem, as professionals may wrongfully diagnose a manic depressive disorder or agitated depression and prescribe antidepressants unnecessarily. This can result in amplifying things whereby the agitation and symptoms of depression actually worsen. This also increases the thoughts and risk of suicide.

When someone has agitated depression it can be quite serious and the characteristics and symptoms can be mild in nature or become quite severe. The severity of the depression and angry outbursts really depend on the individual themselves. This type of depression is more prevalent in middle age to elderly people however it has been diagnosed in younger individuals as well.

There are a variety of symptoms that you should look out for if you suspect someone is suffering with this form of depression. Often times the person will be “antsy” and have a difficult time sitting still or staying in one place for too long. They also have serious, spontaneous mood swings where they will be calm, cool and collected on minute then have an emotional or physical outburst the next. Violent verbal outbursts are also a possibility.

Below you’ll see a list of other symptoms that may present themselves as well.

  • Tearing or pulling at the clothing
  • Intense feelings and thoughts
  • Endless thoughts and movement which are essentially without base
  • Talking nearly continuously
  • Wringing of the hands
  • Violent verbal outbursts.

If you, or someone you know, are/is experiencing some or all of these symptoms then you should consider contacting a professional for a thorough evaluation and diagnosis. As with many other types of depression, agitated depression can be successfully treated. The treatment plan may include antidepressants, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, or in severe cases admission to a depression treatment facility. Bottom line is that there is hope for anyone suffering with depression. The key is to acknowledge that there may be a problem, seek out support from a professional and embark on a successful treatment plan.

Depression – How to Handle Suicidal Thoughts

Chances are that if you’ve been depressed for awhile, or you’re experiencing ongoing hopelessness, some aspect of yourself has begun to drop not so subtle hints about checking out of life. You’ve probably even heard that voice beckoning you with the promise of no more pain, and tempting you with the lure of rest from your self-tormenting thoughts.

Is Suicide An Option?

Depression or hopelessness affects your thoughts in such a way that you may not see any solution to the problem. That’s because depression leads you to focus on failures, disappointments, and the negative side of the situation. Depression obscures any possibilities of happiness or a good outcome. Depression keeps you trapped in overwhelming pain, hopelessness, worthlessness and shame, and a sense of being powerlessness to change current conditions. Depression leads to believing, “there is no way out,” “there’s nothing I can do,” and, “it will never get better.”

When there is no access to joy, no escape from misery, and no hope of things ever changing, it is a natural progression to eventually consider suicide as an alternative. A shift happens when you stop praying to get better and start praying for an end to suffering. It’s not so much that you want to die, rather that you want a “real” change, an escape from an ongoing situation that seems impossible to deal with, or a way to regain a sense of being in control over distressing thoughts or feelings. However, suicide is such a taboo subject that hardly anyone tells us that it is OK to feel so bad that you would think about leaving life.

What To Do With Suicidal Thoughts

If you are having thoughts of suicide follow these three suggestions:

1. Talk with Someone

Instead of hiding suicidal thoughts, explore suicidal ideas in a manner that brings them outside of yourself. This means talking about your feelings with someone who can be caring, calm, non-judgmental, and non-confrontational. Don’t wait until things get better. Call someone such as a friend, counselor, priest, or suicide crisis center that is capable of listening with acceptance.

Two excellent suicide hotline resources in the U.S. include:

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

A 24-hour, toll-free suicide prevention service

National HopeLine

A 24-hour, toll-free suicide prevention service

2. Express Depression by Writing or Drawing

If talking with someone isn’t an action that you will take, then write extensively in a journal or on a pad of paper. Overcome your resistance to writing, rise above your desire to keep everything inside and write. Write often. Write big, messy, angry, hopeless words. Write about your problems, express your pent up feelings, describe your loneliness. Use dark colors if you want, cuss, scream, and express your despair. If you are feeling lethargic, then write about how that feels. Be “bad,” say all the things no one wants to hear, be ugly – be anything but the nice “feeling fine” person you show to the world. Avoid thinking you need to solve your problems when you write. Simply give expression to the thoughts trapped in your head. Write about how you are hurting, how your life sucks, how you can’t feel joy anywhere.

If you can’t write, grab a pencil, a handful of colored markers, or a box of Crayola crayons and draw pictures of how you feel. Your pictures aren’t supposed to be pretty, pleasing, or “good.” Instead, they allow you an important avenue of creative expression. What does depression look like to you?

3. Talk to Yourself in the Mirror

If talking to someone seems impossible, if writing or drawing seems overwhelming, then go to a mirror and speak your thoughts aloud. There’s no correct form of self-talk but you do want to look at yourself in the mirror, speak truth, and avoid sugar-coated affirmations. There’s no point in saying positive affirmations such as “I’m blissful, content, and serene,'” when in fact you’re contemplating ending your life. In addition, berating yourself for feeling depressed isn’t going to help either.

Instead, speak truth about your current situation, make a choice to continue living, and give yourself some much needed encouragement. You could say something like:

“I’m feeling depressed and suicidal and it’s okay to feel this way. A part of me wants to give up and it’s showing me how to end my life. But even though I’m feeling this way, I choose to go on with my life today. I don’t know how I’m going to overcome this depression, but I am doing the best I can. For right now, all I have to do is get through this hour. And I’m doing that by talking to myself.”

What’s most important is giving your suicidal thoughts a form of expression. Any form of expression – talking to another person, writing, drawing, or talking aloud to yourself in the mirror – gives you an opportunity to see your situation differently. We are much more able to cope with externalized expression than internalized thoughts.

Doesn’t Allowing Suicide As An Option Encourage It?

A conscious exploration of suicide, of an idea that is already circling in your head, doesn’t mean that you are encouraging this option. Instead, it opens up a dialog with something that you have already been considering.

Unexpressed, internalized suicidal thoughts tend to dwell on the process of suicide. Meaning thoughts are generally related to planning the act, thinking about when you would do it (today, tomorrow, next week), and the method you would use. Without expression, those types of thoughts gather momentum, growing bigger and stronger, until they obsessively swirl around in your head.

However, when you consciously express suicidal thoughts, you move beyond the best method to kill yourself. Rather then dwell on the final details of your demise, you actively explore your distress. You allow yourself to explore why suicide seems the best option, what problems it is supposed to solve, and how your choice might impact your evolution.

Giving expression to your thoughts doesn’t suddenly make everything better, but it does provide opportunity to unburden your troubles and ventilate your feelings. Talking to others, talking aloud to self, or writing allows you to move energy, feel a tiny, tiny (but much needed) sense of relief, and tap into a deeper reserves of creativity and problem solving. Expression means you are taking action and actively bringing new awareness to your situation from new angles and perspectives.

When you keep suicidal thoughts hidden, you become trapped with extremely limited choices. Those choices include:

  • Pretending suicidal thoughts aren’t present
  • Doing your best to fight against suicidal thoughts (even though what we fight continues to grow stronger every day)
  • Sleeping, eating, drinking, or medicating as a means to suppress suicidal thoughts
  • Give in to compulsive suicidal thoughts and end your life.

However, when you give yourself permission to explore suicide as an option, you bring those ideas out into the open. These thoughts are no longer frozen in your mind. Instead, expression gives your thoughts the freedom to evolve, and to move beyond noisy, chaotic clatter in your brain.

Allowing Death as an Option Allows Life as an Option

Once you give yourself permission and consciously consider suicide as an option, those thoughts become one option instead of the only option.

As you consciously contemplate your own death, you also contemplate the option of continuing with your life. Maybe for the first time ever you put aside your beliefs of hopelessness, you set aside your obligations to family and friends, and you set aside the belief of suicide being a sin. In your heart, you put yourself first and search for a reason to continue living.

When you explore the possibility of suicide, you open your mind to the most meaningful questions of life itself:

  • Do I wish to continue to live?
  • What would have to change for me to want to continue life?
  • Is it possible to live a life beyond fear and despair?
  • What would give meaning to my life?
  • What could I do today to give meaning to my life?
  • Even though there is no joy to be found right now, do I choose life for myself?

You may not have any answers to these questions, but it is most important that you ask them. Recognition of our ability to affect our own mortality can be a profound experience. When you strip away all ideas of sin, of shame, of obligation to anyone else other than you, would you give yourself life or death?

Many depressed people, when they allow themselves to consciously look at death as an option realize that there is deep important meaning in their depression. It’s not a lesson to be learned, it’s not a punishment, and it’s not a test. Depression is an indicator of a transition or evolution into something new.

Perhaps, this is one purpose of depression all along – to make a conscious choice about deciding to live at this stage in your evolution. As any depressed or hopeless person knows all too well, no higher being has yet come down from heaven to take your depression or suffering away. If a heavenly spirit isn’t going to save you, would you choose to save yourself?

Fear of Wasps – How to Overcome Phobia of Wasps Easily

Many people suffer from the fear of wasps, hornets, yellowjackets, bumble bees and other winged insects of the order hymenoptera (i.e. insects with transparent wings). The reason for this is that this order of insects has a fearsome reputation. Wasps and many bees have a painful sting, and many people have been surprised as children by painful bites. Some are allergic to the wasp sting. In this case, their wasp phobia is reasonable, as the wasp can threaten their lives. However, there are many more people who aren’t allergic to wasps, yet still start screaming and running for their lives whenever any kind of buzzing, flying insect appears in their vicinity. This reaction is out of proportion to the actual threat the wasp or hornet presents to them.

Wasp Phobia

The Latinate word to describe this irrational, excessive terror of wasps is spheksophobia. Unless you’re actually allergic to the venom of hornets, yellowjackets, or bees, this unnecessary fear will severely interfere with your life, especially if you plan to spend any time outdoors during the spring and summer months. The fact is, most common varieties of wasp won’t sting you unprovoked. The only way they’d be likely to sting you is if you directly attacked them, or their nest. Indeed, spheksophobia can even increase your chances of getting stung. If a bee or wasp lands on you and you panic and jerk your limbs around, the insect may panic as well–and sting you.

Causes Of Extreme Spheksophobia

What makes some people react in extreme ways to the sight of wasps, without being allergic to these insects? The phobia can have any number of causes. One of the most common is, of course, having been stung by a bee, wasp, or hornet as a child. What can make these early experiences so traumatic is how sudden and surprising bee and wasp stings often are. Most people who get stung do so because they’d accidentally disturbed the flying creature–for example, by unintentionally stepping on one while running barefoot through the grass. Others develop these fears because of repeated, emphatic warnings from parents or guardians.

Effective Techniques To Stop Fear Of Wasps

Whatever the cause, the fear, itself, tends to follow a predictable pattern in most individuals. This means that victims of this phobia respond well to treatments that involve mental re-conditioning, such as hypnotherapy and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming). These techniques teach victims to analyze and discover for themselves the harmful thought patterns they wish to change.

Because the terror of a phobic person tends to a predictable pattern, these patterns can be recognized and changed. Think of how Pavlov’s dogs learned to “instinctively” salivate at the sound of a bell, despite the fact that they were born with no such instinct. Similarly, using a combination of NLP and hypnotherapy, you can learn to “instinctively” experience calm awareness in response to wasps (despite the fact that your “natural” reaction had previously been total panic). In this way, you can use potent psychological techniques to quell your fear of wasps.

How to Treat Severe Anxiety Symptoms in Women

A prolonged anxiety in women can cause different kinds of disorders. The very first onset of this situation is like an alarm bell – act now otherwise it will be too late. Hence, it is advised by the experts not to take it for granted. The longer it will stay in your body – the longer it will take to go. We can conquer this battle by many ways.

1. Treat it with food

Generally people think that every disorder needs a Doctor’s prescription to get over but food therapy is one of the most enjoyable therapies. Find here some Do’s and Don’ts to treat anxiety symptoms in women

Don’ts – Lessen your sugar intake, say no to junk and processed food. Stop taking liquor. Stay away from foods which are rich in Omega-6 fatty acid.

Do’s – include omega-3 in your diet; eat protein rich and complex carbohydrate diets. Eat whole grain and green vegetables which have B complex vitamins, magnesium, selenium and folic acid.

2. Meditation and yoga

Many observations and research has proved that anxiety can be treated successfully by meditation and yoga. Try some ‘Asanas’ (yoga postures) and learn how to relax.

3. Give time to yourself

The simple formula is to go out and have fun. Try shopping; go for a spa or anything which makes you feel comfortable. Be social, interact with people and get along with new friends, knowing new people and exchanging ideas can calm you.

4. Talking therapy

Talking therapy can be fruitful if done by an experienced person because he can dig out the cause of the anxiety which lies within you. Your mentor can analyze your shortcomings and evaluate the seriousness of the problem.

5. Psychological treatment

This is a treatment done by an expert who deals with similar kind of situations. Generally, anxiety symptoms in women can be cured by this method. A counselor can make the disorder heal much faster.

6. Exercise regularly

Regular exercise can lower the risk of anxiety by releasing endorphins in your body. The release of this hormone will make you feel happy and rejuvenating. Experts believe that a short and regular session of 20 minutes, three to four times a week can serve the purpose.

7. Medication

And the last but not the least, medication should be taken with the proper prescription of a medical practitioner. The prescription may include sleeping pills to relax you. The treatment of anxiety symptoms in women may include Serotonin and Venalafaxin.

Before starting any treatment you must know about its side effects and duration of the treatment. Following above methods will help you to relieve from severe anxiety.

Masturbation, Sex, and Insomnia – Endorphin Journey

Endorphins are naturally released biochemicals that aid in feelings of euphoria, act as pain killers, and aid in relaxation. How is this related to masturbation, sex, and insomnia?

Endorphins are chemicals produced by the brain that result in feelings of euphoria and are well-known for their analgesic (pain-killing) aspect. Their release into the body results from various stimuli to the system.

We’ve all heard of the “Runner’s High.” A point where the body is taken to extreme physical levels and endorphins are released into the system. This allows a runner or anyone else involved in strenuous sports to go past the limit; and the endorphin release alleviates pain and supercharges the system for a while and allows the individual to accomplish physical tasks that would be impossible without the special “kick” of endorphins.

Of course, to release these endorphins, you can go run 50 miles or swim 300 laps in a swimming pool. But there is another method of releasing endorphins, and that is through the sexual act.

Be it masturbation or actual intimate sex with a partner, these forms of exercise also release endorphins. Especially when orgasm is reached. This is part of the reason why we feel so good after orgasm; we feel relaxed and at peace. It is no wonder that many men roll over and fall asleep after orgasm; it’s a biochemical sequelae of sex.

Researchers have found that the release of endorphins also helps in insomnia. Insomnia is the inability to fall asleep. It sounds like something all of us could use, as it means we could spend more time doing the things we enjoy. But this is not the case. A lack of sleep causes all sorts of bodily and psychological problems and has a huge impact on an insomniac’s life – and not for the better.

As we now realize that sex and masturbation – especially when orgasm occurs – releases endorphins, it’s a great piece of knowledge to have in our possession. If one does suffer from insomnia, having sex or masturbating before going to sleep may be a great way to help one get the shut-eye they need.

Men, to learn how to get the most out of your latent sexual system, read IRON MAN PENIS – THE RUSSIAN SYSTEM.

Dealing With Onychocryptosis – An Ingrown Fingernail Infection

Onychocryptosis is an ingrown fingernail infection that may or may not cause pain. At several instances, Onychocryptosis is considered synonymous to an ingrown fingernail. This infection generally happens on the toe nails. This infection happens when the edge of the nail grows into the skin causing the skin to tear. While this condition may not always be associated with pain, it causes swelling, redness and inflammation of the infected area.

There might be several reasons that causes Onychocryptosis, the most prominent one being usage of wrong footwear. Some people often compromise their comfort for a stylish looking shoe even if it is slightly tight for them. This, they assume, gives their feet a better grip. Although, tight shoes nay give a proper grip and support to the feet, they leave less room for the feet. Also, tight shoes cause the feet to sweat more and this may attract bacteria. This bacterium gives rise to the infection of Onychocryptosis. Too loose shoes also cause the bacteria to grow and multiply causing the infection. A poorly trimmed nail is another major cause of the infection.

In certain cases, Onychocryptosis can be a very painful experience. The intensity of the pain depends on the extent of the infection, the age, the gender and the overall health of the person in question. It has been observed that people who smoke experience more pain during this infection than those who don’t. Diabetic patients have to be extra careful as such infections often take longer time to heal and may even cause a disability or loss of finger.

There are several ways to avoid this infection. Trimming the nails regularly, keeping feet clean and dry and wearing the right sized shoes will all help in preventing Onychocryptosis. To avoid the pain while cutting the ingrown fingernails, it is suggested to soak the nails in warm water, baking soda or Epson salt for a while before trimming them. This will make the nails soft and also kill any germs that may have developed. Also, rounding off the edges of the nails is a better option than leaving them straight.

Onychocryptosis should be taken seriously in people with delicate medical conditions. People with diabetes having this infection should be attended urgently as this infection may have serious repercussions. It is easier to prevent Onychocryptosis rather than treating it. Maintaining a regular nail care routine will prevent this infection and the occurrence of an ingrown fingernail.

Nail Fungus – 5 Ways to Identify Nail Fungus!

Nail fungus is one of the most common ailments found in people. It can contact anyone, and as per estimate there are at least 35 million people in the world currently suffering from this irritating problem. There is no particular reason for the occurrence of nail fungus, it mainly attacks those who have low degree of hygiene or often tend to work in moist conditions. The reason may be anything, just like other fungal infections nail fungus can be slow to get rid off, and you may have to use targeted techniques rather than over-the-counter drugs.

When you have contacted nail fungus, it is normal that just like any other form of fungus, it will grow and spread. It can spread to other areas of the body; people around you whom you are most likely to touch too are susceptible. This is the reason you should try and start treating the ‘onychomycosis’ at the earliest.

How do you know you suffer from nail fungus? It is obvious to all. Once you have contacted it, appearance of your nails will start to change and you will feel the difference immediately. Following are the differences you will notice after nail fungus has infected our nails:

  • Nails will start looking discolored and weak. Nails will lose shine and healthy looks.
  • Slowly nails will start looking chapped and porous.
  • Slowly nails will start looking brown in color and the look unhealthy.
  • Since fungus spreads your other fingers too can be affected.
  • In highly advanced stage you will find nails can become painful.

How does nail fungus occur?

If your hands remain wet for a long time, there is a possibility you will contact nail fungus. Hardness of the nails is a normal prevention against fungal infection. However, this nails have gaps next to the skin and between skin and nails. This provides fungus ample space to grow and spread to other parts of the nails.

However, if you have just noticed your nails are infected with nail fungus, you can try out some home recipes that can help you get rid of fungus faster. As a home remedy you can use the very available vinegar. Since vinegar is acidic in nature it maintains PH balance of the skin. Vinegar can help avoid growth of the fungus and at times I can also kill the fungus, thus getting rid of nail fungus totally.

Fungus is very persistent; once it occurs it does not die away quickly. Therefore you need to keep patience and it will take two to three weeks in getting rid of it completely. However, you need to ensure that it is gone by constantly trying out effective prescribed medicines. If home therapy has been useful for you, you can try it out everyday or alternate day depending on the depth of nail fungus.

Nail fungus is a type of fungal infection and at times it is better to avoid this infection. You should wash your hands with disinfectants and keep them dry for some hours of the day.

FAQ About How To Heal A Sprained Ankle

If you just had an ankle sprain, what should you do first?

First and foremost, depending on the severity of the sprain, you should consider getting x-rays to make sure that nothing is broken. If there is something broken, obviously, you need more serious medical attention and you should not follow the advice below until you are well on the road to recovery.

How long does it take to heal a sprained ankle?

It depends on how severe your sprain is and what system you use to rehabilitate your ankle. It can take anywhere from 1 week all the way up to many months. It depends on how severe you ankle injury is and how you choose to heal it. There are two main treatment options covered in this article. They are 2 very different, but popular ways to heal a sprained ankle. Depending on what you choose to do, your healing time will vary greatly.

How long should you rest and ice your ankle?

Recent research on this subject really surprised me. Originally, I used to tell people to ice their ankle for the first 36-48 hours, because the conventional wisdom was that ice helped reduce swelling in that time period. Of course, most people just keep icing their ankle until the swelling is gone (for weeks or months) and that is a waste of time.

But, I have now come to believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that icing at ANY point is a very bad idea. As a result, I tell people to avoid icing their ankles completely. Ice is actually very harmful to the healing process of a sprained ankle or any other injury for that matter. The reasons for this are actually a little bit complex, so let’s just keep it simple. The main reason ice became a common treatment is because it helps numb the pain. And it definitely does do that, but at a significant cost.

So, what’s wrong with icing an injury? Well, the body’s first response after an injury is called the inflammation response. It signals the immune system to send in an army of powerful immune cells called Macrophages (Greek for Big Eaters) to get into the inflamed area and literally gobble up all the harmful waste caused by the injury.

Then, after 48 hours, there is a second wave of Macrophages sent into the injured area. Their purpose is actually to repair and regenerate muscle tissue. This is absolutely essential for proper healing. Now, obviously, you want as many of these little guys in the injured area as possible in phases one and two. They are your main immune system clean up and repair guys.

The problem with ice is that it actually STOPS the flow of Macrophages. Yes, that’s a fact. Research has shown quite convincingly that ice significantly decreases the ability of Macrophages to get into the injured area and do their job. So, I do not see how a little pain management from ice is worth that kind of cost.

Secondly, you want the lymphatic system to start draining the fluid out of the ankle joint, so the swelling starts to go down after a few days. But, research has also shown that ice actually REVERSES the flow of waste back into the injured area! And that is literally the exact opposite of what you want. So these days, I tell everyone to avoid ice at all costs when it comes to a sprained ankle. It does NOT help you reduce swelling and it dramatically slows down the healing process.

It is also important to note something else about the lymphatic system. Lymphatic drainage REQUIRES muscle activation. That means that if you just lay there in bed and never move your ankle, the injury cannot drain the swelling. So, you have to start doing some form of ankle rehab as soon as possible to help the body drain the waste. And when I say ankle rehab, I mean very gentle stretches and exercises in the beginning that do NOT cause pain.

The main point I am trying to make is that you have to understand how the body responds to an injury. Then, make sure you follow treatments that help the body along and actually speed up the healing process instead of sabotaging it. That’s what a good ankle rehab program is all about.

What is ankle rehab?

Rehab is the process of fully healing a sprained ankle. Assuming you don’t have a break or fracture in your ankle, you need to begin doing active rehab immediately. Active rehab will increase strength in your ankle and quickly reduce swelling, bruising and stiffness. It addresses all the different kinds of damage from the injury and goes about healing it in a natural, safe and effective way.

You will find a wide variety of active stretches, exercises and other specific rehab techniques that have been proven to speed up the healing process dramatically as well as decrease your risk of future injury. Active rehab for a sprained ankle is by far the best way to ensure you heal properly and safely. Typically, people who follow a good ankle rehab treatment are walking pain free in about a week. Compared to rest and ice alone, that is a very dramatic improvement.

Not only that, experts now believe that not only do people who follow a good active rehab program heal much faster, they also heal much better. By correcting range of motion and muscle imbalances in the ankle joint, you will get two more significant benefits:

  1. You will be at much lower risk for future ankle injury- When people sprain an ankle, the joint naturally has decreased flexibility and strength. This means that after the injury, when you return to your normal activities, you are at greater risk of re-injuring it. If you rehab your ankle properly, it will actually be stronger and more flexible than before you injured it, significantly decreasing your risk of future injury.
  2. Improves speed, agility and lateral quickness– Weak ankles cannot move very well. Added to that, people put on tape and braces to further inhibit their ability to move laterally or with speed. A good rehab treatment like H.E.M. changes all that. It unshackles your ankles and gets you back to your true potential. By improving strength and range of motion in the ankles, you will be able to move with significantly more power and speed.

Which ankle rehab treatment do you recommend?

We recommend H.E.M. as our #1 sprained ankle rehab treatment, because it is very simple to do, but also very powerful. H.E.M. works by healing all the damage from a sprained ankle (ligament weakness, scar tissue, neuromuscular damage, diminished range of motion, etc).

One of the things we like most about H.E.M. is that it requires no equipment, takes a few minutes a day, and is extremely simple to understand and follow for anyone at any age or level of fitness. People tend to start feeling the healing benefits of H.E.M. almost immediately, because it addresses the main issues from the injury and the body responds very quickly.

Sore Penis TLC – Help for Bruised Penile Tissue

Bruises can be painful and a little disconcerting no matter where they appear on the human body, but when they show up on the penis, men might reasonably react with more than a little alarm. Thankfully, most cases of penile bruising are mild, and they tend to dissolve and disappear on their own, with a little supportive penis health care. But there are times when a bruised, sore penis merits a trip to the doctor for more advanced healing options.

Bruising Basics

The tissues of the penis are lined with blood. Deep channels inside the penis fill up with blood when a man is aroused, and this movement of fluid makes an erection possible. Even when a man isn’t focused on sex, however, the penis is nourished by blood flowing into thick veins and arteries that line the penis, as well as tiny capillaries that lie beneath the skin.

Both large blood vessels and the smaller channels can burst when they’re subjected to pressure or some other form of trauma, and when they burst, bruises are soon to follow, as the blood rushes out and flows freely beneath the skin. Penile trauma can come in many forms, but common causes of intimate bruising include:

  • Surgical procedures;
  • Rough or dry sex;
  • Twisting motions during masturbation;
  • Accidents or blunt trauma.

A typical bruise looks reddish when it first appears, but as the bruise heals and the blood is reabsorbed into nearby tissues, the skin can take on spectacular colors, including purple, green and yellow.

Cause for Concern

Some bruises are best handled with the help of an expert. For example, some bruises develop when a man hits his penis on something hard, like a partner’s pubic bone, and the impact can break delicate internal tissues. Such trauma won’t heal on its own, and it is often very painful, so incidents like this require a trip to the doctor’s office or ER.

Helping the Healing

An ordinary bruise that has no other complicating factors tends to disappear within a few weeks, no matter what a guy might do. Human physiology is adept at healing these sorts of damaged tissues, and the body’s cleanup crews head to the site mere minutes after the original injury and make sure that all is progressing as it should. There are some things men can do, however, to ensure that this process moves as quickly as it possibly can.

Allowing time for healing is vital, as continued pressure or friction on bruised tissues can allow yet more blood cells to escape, and the bruise might spread instead of disappearing. Even if a man isn’t experiencing pain, it might be best to avoid sexual activity until the discoloration begins to fade and the tissue returns to its normal color. If pain accompanies the bruising, letting the injured tissues rest is especially important.

Washcloths dipped in cool water can provide relief in the 24 to 48 hours following the injury, but in the days that follow, warm compresses can also help to speed healing. The warmth allows blood vessels to expand, so the damaged cells can be accessed and swept away as quickly as possible. A washcloth soaked in warm water, applied several times per day, should help the discoloration to fade.

Applying a high-quality a penis health creme (most experts recommend Man1 Man Oil) may also help to promote healing. While penile creams are not intended as a cure for damaged tissue, vital nutrients such as vitamin C can help to promote the restoration of circulatory tissue, while natural moisturizers such as shea butter keep the skin feeling soft, supple and responsive to the touch.
