This plaque can lead to blood clots that suddenly stop up the artery carrying oxygen to the heart muscle. The result can be the death of part of the heart muscle also known as heart attack. But why does this happen and what can be done about it?

Commonly listed causes are: free radicals, saturated fats, and other factors directly resulting from poor diet as well as a lack of proper exercise. Let us start with proper exercise. We want to know why we must drag ourselves from in front of the TV and outside or to the gym to exercise.

Heart Attacks – Some Causes and Symptoms

Heart attacks occur when there is a shortage of oxygen to the heart. Oxygen is supplied to the heart by blood which flows through arteries that cover the surface of the heart. Smoking increases the risk of a heart attack as does high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Also being overweight or having diabetes increases the risk. All of these factors except heredity can be dealt with through medical intervention.

Other factors can also cause a heart attack, such as:

– The use of cocaine may cause the heart to spasm and cause a heart attack

– Anemia is a lack of red blood cells. It can be caused by the bone marrow not producing enough of them or is may simply be that there is a large amount of bleeding somewhere in the body. Either way, since red blood cells are what deliver oxygen to the heart, anemia could cause a heart attack. Also, failure of the lungs to breathe could cause an attack as this would cause a toxic amount of carbon dioxide to be in the blood thereby reducing the amount of oxygen.

Symptoms of a heart attack might be a pain in the chest (most common) along with difficulty breathing. Also severe sweating and sometimes nausea may be present. As people get older it is more likely for them to have an attack and not even know it. Sometimes their indicators are so mild it is easily passed off as nothing to be alarmed about and the evidence that an attack occurred my not present itself until a doctor does a test for something altogether different and finds out there had been a prior attack.

If you suspect you might be having a heart attack the best thing you can do right away is call 911 as the emergency technicians who arrive will be able to start some form of treatment immediately. The sooner you get help, the better the chances that any damage can be contained. Also, taking an aspirin will cause your blood to thin and the heart won’t have to work as hard to keep it flowing. The blood will more easily pass through the area of the heart that is suffering from lack of oxygen and thereby help provide more oxygen until medical intervention can be obtained. And until help arrives, be sure to take it easy and lie down. You definitely do not want to make your heart have to work anymore than necessary at this point. Additional strain might cause further damage or at worst, be fatal.

In summer when the cases of unaccompanied minors were at their peak in the states of Arizona and Texas, agents of the Border Patrol who worked inside processing facilities reported how the cases of tuberculosis, scabies and other critical diseases were being brought into the United States by people who were not unvaccinated, illegal aliens. There have been many protests all over the country, in places like Murrieta, California, for example, where the local residents have been turning bus loads of illegal immigrants away, stating reasons as concerns about the dangers that could arise to public health. All these protestors who have warned about the spread of diseases were in turn accused of fear mongering and exaggeration.

These include children born at the hospital between September and August 2014, when it was discovered by officials that an unnamed female employee had the illness. More than 700 children may have been exposed to the disease, according to reports.

The medical staff that recently accompanied US military personnel during a set of missions in Iraq described a rapid onset of eosinophilic pneumonia in 18 American soldiers. Although there were only 18 cases of eosinophilic pneumonia identified among 180.000 soldiers, the syndrome generated exacerbated symptoms in all affected persons. The majority of patients were men, and the highest incidence of eosinophilic pneumonia was registered among young patients, with an average age of 22.

Although the actual causes of the outbreak are still unknown, doctors established connections between smoking and the occurrence of eosinophilic pneumonia among the 18 members of military personnel. All the affected people were smokers, most of them recently starting to use tobacco. Apart from this common feature, doctors were unable to identify other potential risk factors of the disease. Strangely enough, epidemiologic tests revealed no signs of pulmonary infection, thus discriminating the implication of bacteria in triggering eosinophilic pneumonia. Despite this fact, all patients presented a pronounced eosinophilic response, most of them developing extra-pulmonary eosinophilia as well.

Two of the affected patients eventually died due to complications, while the other patients responded well to prolonged treatment with corticosteroids. Over a period of three months of treatment, very few patients still presented signs of respiratory problems. All 16 patients were completely recovered from the disease after completing the prescribed treatment. None of the patients remained with permanent impairments of the respiratory system and there were no reported cases of relapse.

The most common source of shoulder pain is an injury to the muscles and tendons of the rotator cuff. You may be diagnosed with conditions such as bursitis, rotator cuff tendinitis, impingement, and tears.

The rotator cuff is a group of small muscles located around the ball-and-socket joint of the shoulder. They are important for circular arm movements. This area is also a fragile area prone to overuse and injury. When these muscles are injured, it is often difficult to raise your arm over your head, reach behind your back, or even to get dressed on your own. It also makes sleeping difficult if you like to lay on your side.

There are a few simple things you can do to help relieve the pain and get some much needed rest. These include taking pain medicine such as aspirin or ibuprofen. You can also pile up pillows around the affected area to help shift some of your weight off of the injured shoulder.

However, you will receive the most benefit from a series of exercises that specifically target the shoulder and the rotator cuff in particular. These include targeted exercises to help speed recovery, re-build strength, relieve pain, and prevent loss of range and mobility.

One easy exercise to begin with is a door press. This exercise will stretch out the muscles in your shoulders and upper chest. To begin, stand facing an open doorway. Place your hands and forearms on the door frame with your fingers pointing straight up towards the ceiling. Your upper arms should be level with your shoulders. Leaving your arms in place on the door frame, slowly press yourself through the doorway. You’ll feel tightness in both the front and back of your shoulders. Cause of Lower Back and Groin Pain: The Iliolumbar Ligament

The iliolumbar ligament connects the fifth lumbar vertebra to the crest of the ilium, or hip bone, in the lower back. It is one of the thick, strong ligaments that supports the sacroiliac (SI) joint, which forms where the ilia meet the sacrum at the base of the spine on each side.

The ligaments around the SI joint facilitate pelvic stability and, since the pelvis is attached to the base of the spine, spinal stability. The lumbar spine is a highly mobile segment that bends forward, backward and sideways as well as rotating. The ligaments that attach to lumbar vertebrae are susceptible to injury if this spinal segment is overexerted.

Causes

The iliolumbar joint can be injured in a number of ways, including lifting a heavy object, impact from a fall or repetitive rotation of the lower back. Iliolumbar syndrome occurs when the ligament is chronically torn or strained. This is usually the result of a repetitive use injury, such as sustained by golfers, tennis players, or others who constantly twist at the lower back.

Lucid dreams of course are dreams that seem very, very more realistic than ordinary dreams, and in which one is consciously aware that they are dreaming. The more experienced one becomes at lucid dreaming, the better they can control it. Experienced lucid dreamers can make their dreams extremely realistic. Once you are able to control your dreams, you can of course ask to be taken back to a past life (if you believe in them) or event, current event, or future event. You can use lucid dreaming to help overcome your fears. Allow yourself to face your fears in a lucid dream. It’s all your choice. The limit goes beyond the sky, it even goes beyond dreams. Some people are natural lucid dreamers, and some have to learn how through practice. As a natural lucid dreamer myself, I can’t guarantee that my technique will help everyone learn, but I can give you an idea about how it can be done.

Firstly, every night before you go to bed close your eyes and say out loud “I WILL REMEMBER MY DREAMS. SOON I WILL BE ABLE TO CONTROL THEM”. Then when you wake up the next morning the very first thing you should do is write down in your diary every single thing you remember about your dreams.. If you can’t remember anything, don’t be discouraged, you will eventually. Just remember a little bit at a time and after awhile you will start remembering more and more. You don’t have to keep a dream diary forever, just until you start getting the hang of having lucid dreams. The more you can remember and analyze about your dreams, the better you can control them in the future.

One trick to do; and this is how I’ve had lucid dreams all my life, is wait until your day off when you can sleep in and don’t have to do anything. Get a sleeping pattern down for 4 or 5 days and wake up the same time every morning. Then one morning, go to bed a couple hours later than usual, but set your alarm to wake you up at the same time as the prior mornings. It can just be for a few minutes and you can get a drink or watch tv or check email or something. Do this for about 15-20 minutes and then go back to bed and lie down on your back. MAKE SURE YOU STAY ON YOUR BACK! Start pretending that you’re doing whatever it is you wish to lucid dream about, imagine you’re with the people you want to be with. Try to make whatever you’re imagining as clear as possible. Hear, feel, and even visualize that you’re smelling something.. MAKE SURE YOU STAY ON YOUR BACK THE WHOLE TIME! Whenever you drift off to sleep hopefully you’ll start dreaming of the things you were imagining about. When you’re getting close to a lucid dream you’ll start vibrating or pulsating a bit and you’ll start hearing a buzzing noise.

Don’t panic if you find that you’re half asleep/half awake and can’t move. It’s a condition called sleep paralysis. If you panic it’ll only make things worse and you’ll start having a nightmare and you’ll hallucinate that there’s something (or someone) bad in the room with you. I don’t know why this happens, but it can be scary if you don’t stay calm. This is the down side to having strange dreaming experiences. I unfortunately first experienced this when I was only 6 or 7 years old. I “woke up” one night in my room and there was a man at the end of my bed pointing a gun at me. It was as clear and real as could be. Imagine a little girl “waking up” and seeing that. I wanted to run to my daddy but I couldn’t move, thanks to the paralysis. Finally he “disappeared” and I woke up. My daddy of course told me it was just a dream and tried to make me feel better, but I spent years afterwards wondering if it was a ghost I saw that night. It wasn’t until I got a computer later in life and learned that it was a condition called “sleep paralysis”.

I experienced it several other times, but as I got older I learned how to either wake myself up from it, or turn it into a more pleasant lucid dream. I have always been fascinated by the Jack the Ripper murders, and I absolutely cannot read anything about the subject when it’s close to bed time. I have had a few sleep paralysis experiences where I found myself his victim, and he was on top of me killing me. I would keep going back and forth between laying on my back on the streets of London to my bed. Of course it still wasn’t as frightening as the “ghost man” I experienced as a child. I didn’t start having the JTR experiences until later in life, when I had an idea that it wasn’t real. Of course it does make me wonder if I had a past life as a prostitute in London, but I try not to think about it.

But anyway, don’t be discouraged if anything like this ever happens to you. Try to remember that it’s not real and concentrate on your breathing. Try to stay calm and close your eyes and think about happy things, there’s a good chance that this paralysis incident will turn into a lucid dream. Remember to try staying on your back the whole time, and that the chance of having a lucid dream will increase on days you sleep in longer than usual.

Remember you can use lucid dreams for any purpose(s) you choose. Some people like to have fun with it. When you lucid dream, you are almost like a god and you have control over the dream world. Obviously the most common thing for lucid dreamers to do is to experience their sexual fantasies. Some people like to fly, some people like to pretend that they’re a star on stage preforming in front of a large crowd. Sometimes it may not be until a middle of an ordinary dream when it becomes lucid. If it already a pleasant dream, you don’t have to change it if you don’t want to. You could keep on continuing with the same dream as an observer. Of course you can change things you don’t like about it. It’s all totally all up to you. Have fun!
