Cold Sore Care – How to Lessen Cold Sore Swelling Quickly!

Cold sores are caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV-1) and once contracted or your first outbreak has happened there is no cure for the virus; however there are ways to treat the cold sores quickly and help them heal faster. There are also preventative techniques you can use to help the process along and make sure you are feeling your best and look amazing at all times. You also need to consider the contagiousness of the virus and work with your doctor on a plan to help make sure you don’t spread the virus to friends and family. Even when you do not have an active outbreak you can pass the virus, but there are medications that can help suppress the virus and prevent you from spreading it.

One the best ways to lessen the swelling of a cold sore and bring instant relieve is with a cold compress. This will reduce the swelling in the area and decrease the redness which will also help make it less noticeable instantly. This can be used at work, on the go or just before leaving for an important event. You can use this technique everywhere, as many times as needed, whenever you need to. You will not make the cold sore go away, but with a little help you can feel better and help the cold sore to be less noticeable.

Other ways to reduce swelling and redness with cold sores is to use an over the counter (OTC) pain reliever like you would for other injuries. These can also help reduce fevers, if you are experiencing that as well. OTC topical creams and gels, like Benzocaine and Lidocaine, are great for reducing pain, preventing painful cracking and drying, as well as reducing swelling. Your doctor can prescribe a stronger version of these, but if you want to avoid a doctor’s visit and still find relieve from swelling and redness, this is a great way to do it.

While, you cannot cure the virus that causes cold sores, you can find ways to reduce the symptoms and help yourself feel better and look more amazing to give yourself the confidence to go on with your day and accomplish what you need to do.

A Diet For Psoriasis – Curing Psoriasis Through Your Diet

For many of us living in the modern world, we should really pay more attention to our diet. For psoriasis sufferers, this is doubly true.

It was one of the earliest lessons I learned when I started to look into how I could cure myself of this repulsive skin disease. The kind of stuff we eat these days, is it any wonder our bodies sometimes react this way?

Although there are many causes of psoriasis, including hereditary factors and allergies, one major influence on the condition of the skin is the toxins that find their way into our bodies. If the body can’t get rid of these toxins through the bowels and urinary tract, it will get rid of them through the pores on your skin. This isn’t good for the condition or appearance of your skin, and guess what?

You are poisoning your body with these toxins every day, through your diet!

For psoriasis sufferers, the toxins also indirectly affect your skin by suppressing the immune system. The suppressed immune system will start to malfunction, and create skin cells at a greatly increased rate. These skin cells then get pushed to the surface, where they build up until they die and shed themselves. This is what causes the scaly patches of psoriasis on your skin.

Putting together a diet for psoriasis that greatly reduced the amount of toxins I was feeding my body was my next step. I knew my body was telling me something, so I decided it was time I listened and did something about it.

For me, it was kind of like my body was making a protest at all the junk I put into it!

The first changes I made where quite simple. I started to read labels more and see what was actually in the food I was eating. I stopped buying things like ready made meals, processed meat like bacon and anything that seemed like it had too many chemicals in. I started to buy organic fruit and vegetables, as well as fresh fish and wholemeal bread.

By eating a diet with fewer chemicals, my body was able to deal with any toxins without having to get rid of them through the skin. Not only that, but it helped my immune system stabilise itself and function normally again. I began to notice a difference in the appearance on my skin within a week or so, where my psoriasis patches looked less red and angry.

To this day, I believe that just making a few small dietary changes had a significant effect on my skins appearance, and made a major contribution to becoming clear of psoriasis altogether.

Living With a Shrimp Allergy

A Shrimp allergy is not necessarily something you are born with. In fact, many people don’t develop an allergy to shrimp (or shellfish) until they are well past maturity. Some people have a shrimp allergy while others may have an allergy to the all crustaceans. There are also those that do not discover their allergy until accidental consumption.

Most people with a known allergy to shrimp are well aware of what the symptoms are. However some may not know what causes them. The symptoms are due to the production of histamines when something consumed is mistaken for an invader. This item is then battled by the immune system because it sees it as a threat. Shrimp symptoms will vary for every person. Living with an allergy to shrimp is a difficult task, but millions of people do it daily. Below are some things to be aware of if you or a loved one suffers from this allergy.

Top 5 Shrimp Allergy Symptoms:

1. Reddening or flushing of the skin. This is just as it sounds, after the consumption of shrimp (or seafood) your skin will begin to redden.

2. Hives. These are raised bumps or rashes on the skin. These are typically red but sometimes appear to be white.

3. Difficulty to Breathe. Sometimes, after consuming shrimp, people find it hard to breathe.

4. Faintness and lightheadedness are often symptoms.

5. Smothering. Feelings of being hot and smothered also accompany these symptoms.

In extreme cases, the trachea closes (windpipe) and it is extremely difficult to breathe. If this occurs, seek medical attention immediately.

If you, personally, suffer from an allergy to shrimp allergy, the below information can help to keep your life safe and always remember to keep a remedy close by.

5 Tips That Can Save Your Life

– Keep your medications in a simple location. By placing the medicines prescribed to you in an easy to locate and easy to remember location you can shave off precious minutes you may need if you begin to show serious symptoms.

– Benadryl can be taken if mild symptoms occur. This is an over the counter antihistamine that is available in most supermarkets.

– Alert family and friends of your allergy. It may also prove beneficial for you to alert them of where you keep your medications. Medical contact information and symptoms you may experience are also important pieces of information that can save your life.

– If you begin to experience sever symptoms (such as difficulty breathing) and your medication fails, you or someone surrounding you needs to dial 911 and request immediate medical assistance.

– Create a personal safety plan. You can evaluate many different scenarios and figure out what you would need to do in each. Knowledge is power!

Shrimp allergies in children require more attention than that of adults. A child is much smaller in size making the consumption of the smallest amount of shrimp a danger. If your child, or one you are in frequent contact with, suffers from a shrimp allergy, be sure to keep a close eye on them during consumption periods. These tips can help to save you (or a loved one) if accidental consumption occurs and symptoms develop.

Adverse Side Effects of Using Central Nervous System Stimulants

Methylphenidate (MPH) is a central nervous system stimulant, which affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. Hence, this is used in the treatment of Attention-Deficit Hyperacitivity Disorder (ADHD), depression, lethargy, obesity, and other psychiatric disorders like obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Many people, particularly teens think that MPH is safe or mild drug because of its medical use. Pre-teens and adolescents abuse this drug to lose weight, stay awake or increase their attention span or for euphoric effects. According to a report by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) released in 2009, 1.8 percent of 8th graders, 3.6 percent of 10th graders, and 2.1 percent of 12th graders abuse methylphenidate.

Many of them are ignorant of the adverse side effects of using methylphenidate in higher doses or without prescription. There are many common and serious side effects of MPH abuse. Some of them are:

Common side effects:

The few main common side effects of methylphenidate abuse are:

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, MPH abuse may lead to tolerance and severe psychological dependence, Methlyphenidate is considered as a ‘Schedule II drug,’ as it has high addiction potential. Methylphenidate is as addictive as cocaine or any other illicit drug.

Anxiety and irritability

MPH abuser may feel restless, edgy or keyed up. MPH abuser will have difficulty in concentration, muscle tension, sleep disturbances which result in anxiety and irritability. MPH results in anxiety because of increase in blood pressure.

Decreased appetite

The MPH acts as an appetite suppressor. MPH abusers may experience fatigue as the proper nutrition is not supplied to the body due to decreased appetite. It also induces weight loss. This is the main reason of abuse in teenagers for weight reduction. This overall leads to malnutrition.

Headache and stomach ache

Many people using MPH without a professional medical practitioner’s advice, suffer from headache and stomach ache. As with any other illicit drug, headache and stomach ache might result because of the methylphenidate drug overdose.

Other effects

The other effects of MPH include nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, growth suppression, leukopenia (decrease in WBC), hypersensitivity, skin rashes, anemia, jaundice, nervousness, anorexia, tachycardia, agitation, hallucinations, psychosis, hyperthermia, dysrhythmias, lethargy, hypertension etc.

Serious effects:

Some of the serious effects of MPH abuse include:

Slow growth (height and weight)

As the appetite is decreased by the use of MPH, proper minerals and vitamins which are required to the body are not provided. This results in slow growth. Usually, there will not be much increase in weight and height. Dwarfism might result as a result of malnutrition.

Seizures are one of the major side effects of MPH. Generally, seizures are caused because of abnormal brain function. Methylphenidate drug abuse causes seizures as it affects the chemical composition of the brain. Prolonged use of MPH will lead to epilepsy.

Eyesight changes or Blurred vision

After the intake of MPH, some people have visual disturbances. MPH abuse causes changes in eyesight. Sometimes, it may also result in blurred vision as a result of overdose. The overdose might also result in enlargement of the pupil of the eye.

Many children and adults are getting addicted to this drug as a result of prolonged abuse. It is important to know the serious and adverse effects of this drug. It is necessary to educate people, particularly teenagers about the adverse effects of MPH in order to prevent them from destroying their life.

How to Overcome Depression And Lead A Happy Life

Suffering from  depression  can be a very painful and disastrous experience. Your whole life may turn upside down. Your outlook of life will become very negative and it is tough to go through life like this. So you should try to learn how to overcome  depression  and start leading a better life.

Here are simple steps to begin with if you want to seriously know how to overcome  depression  permanently. You have to persistently follow these steps:

1. Change Your Outlook – People suffering from  depression  usually focus on the negative side of things. They envision a bleak and sad future for themselves or others. Changing your outlook is not easy but has to be done if you want to overcome  depression .

An important tip is to stop focusing on what went wrong in the past. Thinking too much about your past will only make you sadder and more depressed. Start thinking about what you would like your future to be. What are the things you would like to happen in your life which will make you happy. Think about such things. Notice that this kind of thinking is different from daydreaming or wishful thinking.

2. Don’t Blame Yourself for Everything – Sure, you might have made some mistakes in the past. But stop blaming yourself for everything that went wrong. People with  depression  blame themselves for being weak or unable to cope etc. Stop trying to find out all the mistakes you made. Learn to accept your shortcomings without focusing too much on them. Accept the fact that nobody is perfect and you too had shortcomings and made mistakes in the past – no big deal!

3. Indulge In Activities that Make You Feel Good Depression  can make you forget the fun and joy of living. You don’t find pleasure in anything. So an important step to overcome  depression  is to bring back feelings of pleasure and fun into your life again.

Think of activities that you enjoy doing. It could be reading, cooking, browsing internet, spending time with a close friend, going out for a walk, sitting in a garden etc. Find out an activity which you feel safe doing and which does not tire or bore you. Find an activity which makes you feel relaxed and even brings a smile on your lips.

Once you identify one or two such activities, make a commitment to indulge in those activities for at least 30 minutes everyday without fail. At first, this may seem pointless. But persist with this and notice the difference in your feelings and behavior. Don’t worry if the activity seems silly or not much fun to others.

How A Hypnotherapy Treatment For Phobias Works

Phobias are irrational fears which are beyond control and lead to the avoidance of the situation or thing that is feared. Regardless the object that is feared, symptoms of phobias are usually the same: sweating, trembling, racing heart, thumping in the chest, blushing or butterflies in the stomach. It is known that repetition forms the habit. This is why, repeated over and over in the presence of the trigger, phobia symptoms will only get worse in time.

While some cases of phobia are OK to live with, although the phobic person feels uncomfortable in the presence of the trigger, more severe cases can be debilitating. These cases should be treated. The doctor may prescribe the typical hypnotherapy treatment for phobias or direct the patient to a NLP specialist.

An alternative to a hypnotherapy treatment for phobias, a patient could undergo another type of therapy, called systematic desensitization. This means that the phobic person is gradually exposed to the situation that triggers his reaction, until he becomes able to control his behaviour to the point where the phobia is gone. This exposure should be done with maximum care and with the patient’s cooperation, because it can be extremely traumatic. Hypnotherapy does not need to be traumatic.

The purpose of hypnotherapy sessions is to discover the roots of the phobia, the underlying cause that triggered it initially. This could be some trauma the phobic person suffered earlier in life and which he doesn’t consciously remember. It is well-known that our subconscious mind has the power to repress unwanted memories, so we can never remember them without specialized help. This is how our mind protects itself from damage.

In the initial stage of a session of hypnotherapy treatment for phobias, the patient is induced a state of deep relaxation. The hypnotherapist will use special relaxation techniques that may start with the relaxation of each group of muscles and end with a state of calm, well-being and happiness which can be attained in as little as 15 minutes.

While in this state, hidden memories can be brought up to the surface by a process called hypnotic regression. The hypnotherapist will guide the subject during the whole experience and will know when the cause of the phobia was reached. From there, the hypnotherapist will lead the patient to visualize himself in the phobia-triggering situation, but with no feelings of anxiety or fear. New responses to old situations can be acquired during the same hypnotherapy session.

Depending on the severity of the phobia, the patient may go home cured after one single session or he might need to undergo three-four more sessions in order to get rid of his irrational fear for good.

If you suffer from any debilitating phobia, you should definitely seek help. Why endure those fears which make absolutely no sense to others but shorten your life or make it miserable, when you can be fine in as little as two or three hypnosis sessions? Anyway, make sure you choose the hypnotherapist very well, because trust and professionalism are extremely important for the treatment to succeed.

Anxiety Symptoms Treatments – Signs, Symptoms of Panic Attacks

When I was having anxiety and panic attacks I had no idea what they were. All I knew was that I feared having another one and so the cycle began that all I feared was having an anxiety attack then because of that fear it brings another on. So I was living my life like this until one day I was reading in the newspaper about anxiety and panic attacks. They had a list of all the symptoms, I was shocked to realize that the list was exactly what was happening to me and that I could finally put a name to it.

So I have complied a list for you that you go through and see if you are having any of these symptoms then it would be a sign that you are having panic attack or anxiety attack.

o Palpitations

o A pounding heart, or an accelerated heart rate

o Sweating of the hands or just sweating

o Trembling or shaking

o Shortness of breath

o A choking sensation

o Chest pain or discomfort

o Nausea or stomach cramps

o De-realization (a feeling of unreality)

o Fear of losing control or going crazy

o Fear of dying

o Numbness or a tingling sensation in your face and limbs

o Chills or hot flashes

o Feel like wanting to just run, but don’t know where

o Feel you have to get out of the room your in or the car

o Muscular tension and body aches

o Dizziness and headaches

o Excessive worry and increasing tension

o Inability to concentrate

o Overall tiredness and exhaustion

o Fear of the situations linked to their bouts of anxiety and avoidance of such situations

o Just want to go to bed and sleep and escape the world

There are more symptoms but these are the more common ones.

OK so now if you are having some of these symptoms and you feel that this is what is happening to you, where do you start?

When I found out that I had anxiety and panic attacks I found out more information and gained knowledge on what was happening to my body and what was causing all this happen. When I understood exactly what was happening in my body as I was having an anxiety and panic attack I felt more at ease to realize I was not going to die. I found out that the worst problem is that when you are suffering from anxiety, is that the body tends to tense up and you stay like that, like holding on because you feel if you let go you may fall off a cliff or something you don’t know but you just feel something may happen if you let go.

So I found out that by learning to do hypnosis that it’s a way for you to learn to let go, after doing a few sessions with a practitioner. I was then able to do it myself at home. I made sure that each day I spent only half hour doing the self hypnosis. I found that when I missed a day the next day I had a bad day. So by being consistent with doing the self hypnosis I was coping and each day got better and better. But the one thing really is that hypnosis is really just learning to relax your body and let go.

I would like to ad a side note here. When I first went to see this practitioner the first thing he wanted me to do was go on a medication for anxiety and panic attacks, I refused. Because I felt that if I have deal with anxiety and the medication made me feel better I didn’t want to then feel if I stopped taking the medication that it bring back the anxiety and panic attacks in my life. I had made a decision that I was going to do this without medication. Then I would feel sure that once I got myself through this it was me that did it not the medication.

Because it was quite a few years ago that all this happened to me there was not a lot of help around for anxiety and panic attacks. Where as this day and age there is so much more. Its just not hypnosis anymore there are so many other resources you can get help from including books, meditation, Emotional Freedom Technique ( which is something I would recommend) subliminal CDs etc. Do some research around the internet and gain knowledge and understanding of what is happening to you, and when you have armed and prepared yourself with knowledge you have made the first step to recovery Congratulations!

I Cannot Sleep Well – A Sleep Insomnia Cure

You’re lying in bed thinking to yourself ‘I cannot sleep well’. It’s already four o’clock in the morning and you need to be up in another two hours and haven’t gotten so much as a wink of shut-eye. This has been going on for the past couple of nights and you’re getting frustrated and you want answers. This sounds familiar to me, as I once underwent the same dreaded nights for a number of years.

People who claim that they get no sleep often don’t realize that there are some very simple measures that can be adjusted to drastically change that. You’ll often hear people say “I can’t sleep at night and it’s destroying my life” or “No matter how long I lie down, I cannot sleep well.” What they don’t understand is that of all the reasons as to why they are constantly going around saying “I cannot sleep well” they are unaware of some fundamental facts.

There is an internal biological system that we all have that regulates our quality of sleep and the amount of time it takes for us to drift off to sleep. If more people knew about this they would be able to prescribe their own sleep insomnia cure at will. This sleep insomnia cure that I am referring to is he able the ability to optimize your internal biorhythm in such a way that falling asleep in under five to 10 minutes will come with relative ease. It’s important to know what causes us to get sleepy and what causes us to feel awake.

Our internal biorhythm is determined by our body temperature. The higher our temperatures are the more awake we feel, the lower our temperatures are the more sleepy we feel. When you are laying in bed telling yourself how you cannot sleep well you are experiencing the results of a destabilized internal biorhythm that needs to be remedied. If your internal biorhythm clock remains disrupted, you can almost guarantee that you’ll either get no sleep or your sleep will be very inadequate. The difference between no sleep and restful sleep is determined by the temperature cycle our bodies go through during the day.

There are things that you can do to optimize your biorhythm clock so that it remains consistent and aligned with the proper levels that constitute a very deep and restful sleep at night. This is a sleep insomnia cure that will change your life and a sleep insomnia cure that will change the way you experience physical energy. I had a very bad case of insomnia and telling myself every night that I can’t sleep the way I need to and not being able to fall asleep quickly really put lots and lots of stress on me and I began to feel it quickly. It wasn’t until I found out about how to optimize and regulate and my biorhythm that I began to fall asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow and woke up with enough energy to last me for days. If you cannot sleep and you are having a very hard time falling asleep at night, I would advise you to learn what I’ve learned and take control of your life and your ability to fall asleep at will. Getting no sleep at night is no fun. The fortunate thing is that there is a complete way that you can implement your very own sleep insomnia cure to thwart the sleepless nights and sleepy days.

My Feet Hurt! Three Major Causes Of Foot Pain

Why do my feet hurt? This is a common question among young and active individuals as well as older people who are saddled with immobilization problems due to old age. A lot of reasons could be the cause of these pains yet there are three common causes that are brought upon us by our daily activities, be it work, play or even just the weather. Let us check each one and see if perhaps this specific cause is bugging you right now.

Plantar Fasciitis

An injury to the plantar fascia muscle on the sole of the foot is the most common medical problem associated with foot pain. Most people who experience this problem will find that the bottom of feet hurt, especially in the morning. This condition is brought about by severe stress put on the plantar fascia. Too much running, lifting heavy weights, or even standing for prolonged periods of time can be stressful enough to damage the plantar fascia ligament. When tears in the ligament occur, muscle fluids seep out and accumulate in the surrounding tissues of the feet particularly the sole and heel. Once pressure is applied to it by standing or walking, it gives a stinging pain that will surely put a limp in your walk.

Improper Footwear

Most of the time, people tend to use and reuse their old shoes thinking that it is still okay even though they are tighter now than before. Wearing shoes that are too large or too small will cause problems with your feet. Large shoes will make your feet slide inside the shoe as you walk. The friction could form blisters and would be very painful. This will cause discomfort especially if it bursts. If you are diabetic and have poorly managed blood glucose levels, this could pose a problem since it could lead to gangrene and possible amputation if left unchecked. Tight shoes can also cause foot pain as it could restrict the normal movement and flow of blood to the foot, making it extremely uncomfortable during physical activity that requires frequent movement of the feet. If you feel tingling on your feet once the shoes are removed then it is a sign that your shoes are too tight.

Foot Arch Problems

A normal foot has a high enough arch that you can notice as the hollow space in footprints. In some people though, they have collapsed foot arches or the arch is not high enough to actually give proper support to the feet. When this happens, prolonged activity such as walking or running will deal tremendous pressure to the ligaments of the foot. This will give severe pain and discomfort that will gradually disappear once the foot is rested.

The good news is that we do not need to suffer anymore as there are a lot of shoes available on the market for feet that hurt. You can get the right sizes and right fit for your needs, as well as get specially modified shoes that have built in arch supports and protective cushioning for your plantar fascia. Podiatrists could even custom-make one for you in order to properly fit your feet. These are choices that you can enjoy, just remember the bottom line here is that you will have ample support for your feet in order to prevent foot injuries and pains in the future.

Toenail fungus is something that many people suffer from, so if you have it, it is not something that you should be ashamed about, because you are not alone.

Fungus often gets trapped in both the fingernails and the toenails of human beings. However, toenail fungus is more common and, the big toe is often most susceptible to the fungus. The fungus will begin to develop inside of the nail and around the skin surrounding the nail. It can even end up being contagious if it is not treated correctly. Neglecting nail fungus is the worst thing that you could possibly do because the fungus problem will only continue to get worse if it continuously goes untreated.

How Can I Spot Toenail Fungus?

The first step to treating toenail fungus is figuring out whether or not you actually have nail fungus. There are a few signs and symptoms that you should keep an eye out for. Some of those signs and symptoms include:

• Discoloration of the Toenail

• Thickness and Roughness of the Toenail

• Disfigured Toenail

These few signs and symptoms are the most obvious if you are trying to figure out whether or not you have toenail fungus. If you are suffering from one or several of these symptoms, there are several different treatment options. In fact, there are numerous home remedies for treating toenail fungus.

How Can I Treat My Toenail Fungus?

Treating toenail fungus is not as difficult as it sounds. You can use various home remedies to cure the infection, especially if you catch it early on. For starters, you should try to file the toenail down as much as you can, getting rid of the roughness and the thickness that has been caused by the fungus.

The next thing you will need to do is soak the feet in warm water with baking soda. Baking soda has commonly been used as a home remedy for nail fungus.

Major Issues for Women in Sports Medicine

In the past few years, women’s sports have come a long way for girls to take part in almost all the same activities as boys. To prevent and deal with injuries and health conditions comes the need for knowledge about sports medicine. There will always be certain issues that are specific to women’s sports medicine, and in this article we’ll be exploring some of these.

Sprained ankles are perhaps the most common sports related injury for both men and women alike. If you are active in any sport or exercise with potential for the foot to turn inward causing injury or damage to the ligaments in the ankle and/or foot you are likely to sustain a sprained ankle from this action. If the sport your are playing or the exercise you are participating in (i.e., team sports or running on uneven ground) has potential for trips or collisions you are at risk for a sprain. While the best option is to avoid such injuries as much as possible by warming up, wearing proper footwear and being careful, in the real world accidents do happen. You should always seek medical attention for sprains, as if you try to ignore them or play through them, you could be delaying recovery. Women start to lose muscle mass every year starting around their mid thirties. During this time your metabolism also slows down. Although the change in metabolism is normal there are of course some unwanted drawbacks to it. At this stage it’s imperative to make some lifestyle changes to keep from gaining weight since the loss in metabolism will ultimately result in fewer calories being burned off if you continue to eat the same way without exercising enough. Once you’ve reached this stage it will be helpful to add weight training and resistance training to your exercise regimen. You will burn fat more efficiently and help counteract the slowdown in metabolism and its effects on your body. You should also consider decreasing the amount of fatty foods and carbohydrates or sugars you are eating every day.

No matter what type of sports or exercise you’re involved with, the type of footwear you choose can make a big difference when it comes to preventing injuries. Your shoes protect not only your feet but also your lower back, knees and ankles too. Your whole body is affected by the impact of your shoes if you are a runner.

For this reason it’s important to always wear properly fitting shoes as well as shoes meant for the activity they were intended. Nowadays, it is possible to find athletic shoes made for basketball, tennis, soccer, running etc… Replacing your shoes on a regular basis is a good idea for any active individual.

In conclusion, there are many different issues involved with women’s sports medicine depending on what factors are at play such as your age and the activity you are participating in or sport you are playing, you could have a number of the same concerns covered here. A common sense approach to sports safety is the best way to avoid injury although consulting a doctor who’s knowledgeable about sports medicine can yield some good advice on avoiding unnecessary trips to the doctor.

Breast Augmentation Recovery Period

After undergoing a breast augmentation the next major step is to deal with the recovery from the surgery. When it comes to the breast augmentation recovery there are several things you must be aware of and ready to deal with.

For starters you will have to deal with the immediate postoperative recovery from your breast augmentation. This period consist of the side effects associated with the anesthesia that was used during the procedure. While not always performed under general anesthesia, it is in most cases and therefore you will have to deal with the psychedelic responses that your body has to the anesthesia. Remember to maintain your composure as the last thing anyone wants is to hear is how much you love sodium pentothal.

You are most likely going to have immediate discomfort as a result of the procedure. Make sure that you have someone trustworthy to pick you up from the clinic then immediately go out and get you your prescribed medications as these will help not only speed up the recovery but also to make sure you stay comfortable.

Since the length of the breast augmentation lasts about one to one and a half hours in length you may also want to stretch your legs following the procedure but make sure that the effects of the general anesthetic has worn off and that someone is with you. Although it is suggested to get plenty of rest, it is perfectly fine to take short and easy strolls around your home only.

Length of surgery:

The actual procedure takes 1-1 1/2 hours. However, the length of time you will be in the operating room will be longer.

Chances are that you will also have to deal with swelling in the chest area as a result of your breast augmentation so please make sure you take your prescribed antibiotics as they will help control the swelling. This swelling will usually peak after about three or five days following the breast augmentation surgery and then gradually fade away after that.

Bruising is not a common side effect that you will have to deal with. In most cases women who undergo breast augmentations will see no bruising but that does not mean that it cannot happen so just be prepared for it in case it does.

What is the Best Position to Give a Girl an Orgasm – Answered at Last!

Is there a “best” position in which to give a girl an orgasm?

Ultimately, no. Every girl is different, and has different likes, dislikes, turn-ons and turn-offs, and personal preferences, which means that finding which position(s) will work best to get her off is primarily a matter of trial and error.

However, in order to make things a bit easier on you, I thought I would talk about some of the positions I have found that have a very high success rate in regards to helping a girl achieve orgasm. If it’s your first time with a girl, or even if you just haven’t had much experience with this particular woman, try trying a few of these out in the one session and see if any are particularly successful.

Position #1: Cowgirl

The cowgirl position is one of the most simple, effective sexual positions for female stimulation out there. Essentially, you lay on your back, and she straddles you while kneeling (facing towards you). This will allow her to bend forward to change the angle that your penis hits her vaginal wall, making it easier for her to guide it to her G Spot. It also allows her to take in as much or as little of you as she wants, by raising or lowering her body via her legs. On top of all this (no pun intended), the position lends itself to a decent amount of visual communication and intimacy, and also has the bonus of not requiring you to work too hard! What more can you ask for?

Position #2/3: Variations on the Missionary Position

When most people envision missionary, they think of dry, drull, ho-hum sex that can’t end fast enough. And that’s a shame, really, because you can easily adapt some slight, simple changes and allow the missionary position to metamorphise into something really exciting.

Firstly, try putting a pillow under her butt. This will raise the angle of her hips, allowing your penis to give rhythmic stimulation to her G Spot. Obviously this is with you on top, as is the next variation.

For variation number two, experiment with putting her legs over your shoulders. This will tighten the vaginal opening, making it feel much tighter for you, as well as much more intense for her. Be careful in this position however, as if you are bigger than average it can be pretty easy to accidentally hit the   cervical  wall, which is a sure-fire mood killer.

Position #4: Doggie-Style

Sex from behind, like all the other positions discussed thus far, has many distinct advantages. In addition to allowing her (or you, if your arms are long enough) to play with her clitoris during intercourse, it allows her to basically set the angle, speed, depth, and other factors to her liking. In addition it lends itself well to quick, powerful thrusting, not to mention some more “kinky” additions such as spanking and hair-pulling.

So the next time you have sex with your girl, try out one or two of these positions. Take note of how reacts. Talk to her about what she liked and didn’t like about it. Eventually you will find one that really, really works for you – in which case you will at least have a base-line to compare future sexual experiences with her with.

Pancreatitis at a Glance

Many individuals suffer from a pancreatitis annually. The pancreas is a gland that is located in the region that rests behind the stomach region of the body. This gland also rests to the side of the first region of the small intestinal region of the body. This is medically referred to as the duodenum. When an individual suffers from pancreatitis, it means that the gland is experiencing some degree of inflammation.

The sufferer of this condition could experience damage to the gland if the enzymes that are part of the digestive tract achieve a state of premature activation. This means that they become activated prior to experiencing secretion in the region of the duodenum. Once this occurs, the enzymes immediately start a full attack on the pancreas. In this medical guide, you will learn important information pertaining to pancreatitis.

Pancreatic Functionality

The pancreas is a very important gland located within the body. It has been established that it has at least two unique functions. First, it is responsible for the secretion of enzymes that are part of the digestive process. These enzymes are directed into the small intestinal region. They assist in the digestion of items such as various types of fats, a lot of carbohydrates, as well as varying degrees of protein.

In addition to this, this gland is responsible for releasing an assortment of hormones into the bloodstream. Examples of these hormones include both glucagon as well as insulin. The hormones are intended to regulate the storage and the organization of food and convert it into energy. Individuals that suffer from pancreatitis fail to experience these types of functionality to the fullest.

Pancreatitis Symptoms

There are many different symptoms that may be experienced when an individual is suffering from pancreatitis. Nausea and vomiting are quite common. Many individuals will also find that they suffer from a low grade fever. As the inflammation progresses, the fever may also progress into a high grade fever.

It is also quite common for a sufferer to experience pain in the abdominal region of the body. In most cases, this pain actually radiates to the region of the back. When the pancreas is inflamed, it is quite common for an individual to find that their abdomen becomes swollen. This may or may not be accompanied by tenderness.

There are a couple of different risks associated with pancreatitis. These risks include choices and situations that may increase a sufferer’s risk for developing inflammation of this gland. One of the major risks is the consumption of alcohol. However, many individuals that develop diseases associated with gallstones may also experience this condition.

It is important to understand that anyone – even those without a gallstone disease and those that do not consume alcohol – may develop this condition. If you feel as if you may have the symptoms of pancreatitis, it is important to seek medical attention immediately.
