The Leather Flying Jacket – History of the A-1 Style Jacket

Once the screen is held in place by the brackets, screw the brackets into the back cover of the laptop. Finally, replace the bezel and any screws that hold it in place.

The chances are you won’t be the only candidate, so you need something to set you apart. Just follow these 10 Tips For Nailing A Physical Therapy Job Interview and you’ll have a great advantage over your competitors who won’t be as prepared as you are.

1. Get your sales pitch ready.

Do you think you’re not a “salesperson?” You are when you’re on a job interview. Your job is to sell the interviewer into thinking that you are the best Physical Therapist that he or she could ever hire. So, in order to do that, plan on being able to talk for about 5 minutes about your background, education, experience and why you’re the best candidate for the job. A five minute monologue is around 50 sentences. Prepare those 50 sentences in advance and practice, practice, practice.

2. Arrive 15 minutes early for the interview.

That way you’ll have time to compose yourself, review your notes, and fill out any paperwork that may be required before your interview. Take advantage of the extra time to go to the restroom and check your appearance in the mirror. Don’t forget to check your teeth for bits of leftover lunch. Pack a toothbrush and toothpaste and give your teeth a quick brushing to freshen your breath.

3. Listen carefully to each question that you are asked and then answer those questions thoroughly.

Watch out for stumbling words like “um’s” and “ah’s” and conversational slang that doesn’t belong in a business conversation when you give your answers. Be sure that you sound confident when you reply. PT Managers look for people who know what they are talking about and have the confidence to answer questions thoroughly. The answer doesn’t start with “I like long walks on the beach and quiet evenings at home.” The interviewer is looking for personality traits and background information that establishes your qualifications for the position. Tell him or her about your work ethic, your love for the PT profession and your desire for ongoing education to stay current in the field.

5. What the question “tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?” really means.

This isn’t the time to do a character assassination on yourself by telling the interviewer how hard it is for you to get up in the morning and that you and Chocolate Martinis are well acquainted. You probably will have no problem responding with 3-4 positive things about yourself, but how do you answer the weakness question? Mention a quality or two that is really a quasi-strength in disguise. For example, “I tend to spend more hours at work than most of my co-workers because I don’t feel comfortable going home until I have wrapped up all my paperwork for the day.”

6. What the question “what do you see yourself doing in 5 years?” really means.

This is a probing question designed to determine how long you might stick around. While honesty is usually the best policy, there’s no law that says you have to work in the same place forever. If your goal is to attend college at night so you can switch careers and become a lawyer in 5 years, don’t bring it up. State goals that are in line with your PT career and that show you are a good candidate for long-term employment. Something like “I’d like to be your Senior Therapist,” is a good response.

7. Have specific examples of work successes ready.

You can expect to be asked questions about your current position. Interviewers love to find out how you faced a particular challenge and to get insight into your day-to-day work experiences. Be ready with some specific examples of your more challenging cases. Also, provide some examples of how you were able to get a particular task accomplished under unusual pressure, or a short deadline, if you have those types of examples. Don’t make anything up though. It’s also a good idea to provide examples of your teamwork skills and how well you communicate ideas with co-workers and supervisors.

8. Show Enthusiasm, Friendliness and PMA.

PMA means Positive Mental Attitude, and you want to bring plenty of it to the interview. You send subliminal signals to the interviewer with your body language, tone of voice and attitude. Make sure that all of those signals are positive by acting bright, energetic and cheerful. Pay attention to your body language. Sit up straight, don’t tap your feet or drum your fingers. Make sincere eye contact with the interviewer. If it comes down to a tie between you and another candidate with equal experience and skills, your enthusiasm could swing the job your way.

9. Don’t be shocked by a confrontational interview.

Some interviews use a measured confrontational approach to weed out candidates who do not react well to pressure or confrontation. Don’t be drawn in. Maintain your professional demeanor and act as if your interviewer is doing nothing unusual. Remember, you’re not always going to be treating clients who are happy to see you, and some that are in intense pain may not be the friendliest people you’ll ever encounter. After Exercise Headache – More Serious Than You Think?

It’s surprisingly common – you’re exercising, everything’s fine, and then POW – a headache strikes! Or, sometimes, a headache hits while you’re exercising. Is it just a minor annoyance? Or could it be a signal that something serious is going on? Should you go to the doctor, or just shrug it off?

If you already suffer from headaches or migraine, it may just be that your exercise is starting the headache chain-reaction. In that case, it’s important to look at the overall picture and make sure you’re getting the treatment you need for headaches. Your doctor may recommend a pain killer to take just before you exercise, to stop the pain before it starts. In the case of migraine, this is called an “effort migraine”, and it’s very common. A throbbing headache in the back of your head may be an “exertion headache”, which again usually requires some pain killers and is not serious.

But after exercise headache can be a warning that something serious is going on. As a general rule of thumb, if you get a new headache after you exercise, you should see a doctor right away. Any sudden change when it comes to headache could be a sign of something serious, so don’t wait.

Some of the more serious headaches have to do with the blood vessels in the head. A headache after exercise could indicate an abnormality in the blood vessels themselves, or could warn you of a brain hemorrhage (or haemorrhage) (blood flow when blood vessels break).

If you’re exercising in the heat and begin to have sore muscles, difficulty breathing, and dizziness along with headache, you could be experiencing early signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke. You’ll soon be past helping yourself, but friends will need to make sure your body is cooled off quickly.

Of course, everyone is afraid of brain tumours. Tumours (tumors) are very rare, so don’t panic at the first sign of headache. Unlike typical headaches, these generally get worse over the course of several weeks, and are usually worse in the morning. You want to catch these things as early as possible.

Throat Cancer Doesn’t Exist – But Be Careful

Actually there is no such medical condition called ‘throat cancer’, although several types of cancer can arise in the throat and neck. The correct medical term for the throat is the ‘pharynx’, which can be defined as the passage that ensures that food and drink go to the stomach and that air goes to and from the lungs. The pharynx is made up of three parts: the oropharynx (the back of the mouth, including the soft palate and base of the tongue); nasopharynx (connecting the back of the nose to the back of the mouth); laryngopharynx (connecting the oropharynx and nasopharynx to the start of the gullet (oesophagus) and the windpipe (trachea) via the voice box (larynx)). The laryngopharynx is sometimes called the hypopharynx. ‘Throat cancer’ can be cancer of any of these, although the most common form of ‘throat cancer’ is nasopharyngeal cancer.

Spleen Disorders – Causes, Symptoms and Treatment

Spleen is a vital organ found in the left upper quadrant of the human body which plays a central role in the immune system. Not only is it a reservoir of blood reserve, which the body keeps in case of an emergency such as bleeding or hemorrhage. It performs the vital function of removing old red blood cells, but it also works like a factory for antibodies which can help maintain the defense mechanism of the body against various health threats.

There are two major spleen disorders:

· Splenomegaly

· Asplenia

Splenomegaly

This is a disorder in which the spleen is enlarged. The normal spleen size is up to 12 cm, and anything larger than that is classified as Splenomegaly. Splenomegaly could be moderate, within a range of 11 to 20 cm, or severe, more than 20 cm. The condition should not be confused with Hypersplenism, which is the over-activity of the spleen.

Symptoms

The symptoms of Splenomegaly include chest pain, back pain and abdominal pain. Type 2 Diabetes – Will Using Sesame and Rice Bran Oils In Cooking Help People With Diabetes

In April 2016, the American Journal of Medicine reports on the results of a study using sesame and rice bran oils to lower hyperglycemia and improve blood fat readings in people who have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.

Researchers at Fukuoka University Chikushi Hospital in Japan found a blend of 20 percent sesame seed oil and 80 percent rice bran oil lowered hyperglycemia in Type 2 diabetics and also improved their cholesterol and blood fat readings. Over a period of eight weeks, diabetic participants using the oil blend as cooking oil had lowered fasting blood sugar levels as well as decreased blood sugar levels after meals. Low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol so-called “unhealthy” cholesterol (LDL) dropped while high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL), also known as “healthy” cholesterol, increased.

In 2012 scientists at Fukuoka University reported on research linking sesame and rice bran oils with reduced blood pressure as well as improved cholesterol levels. Their paper was commented on at a meeting of the American Heart Association. According to their study, participants who cooked with sesame and rice bran oils lowered their hypertension almost as much as the participants who were using regular anti-hypertension medications. The participating members taking their blood pressure medication along with the two oils saw a drop in their reading twice as high as those who took only one of the treatments. The study group lowered their systolic (top number) blood pressure an average of 14 points and lowered their diastolic (bottom number) an average of 11 points.
