Ginseng Rh2 Capsule

For thousands of years in the history of China people have been using Ginseng as it boosts vitality and longevity, induces strong sexual activity in both sexes, enhances the immune function, relieves physical and mental fatigue, nourishes the brain as well as the bowels and strengthens the resistance to environmental stress. Ginseng has especially been recommended by people, for thousands of years to the resistance of cancer. It has already been proven that ginsenoside Rh2 is the most active ingredient in ginseng to inhibit the multiplication and transfer of cancer cells, thus reducing the morbidity of cancers and thus boosts the immunity rapidly. As this ingredient is very hard to get, even in the red ginseng, normally the ratio of Rh2 ginsenoside in nature is only 1:100 000. As this material is very rare and extremely expensive, only some lucky patients could take part in some tests.

Ginseng Rh2 has the function of promoting the synthesis of DNA and RNA and thus has the capability in improving the immunity of patients by increasing the white blood cells within one week. As it also has the capability of increasing the number of lymphocytes, it improves more effectively the situation to the reverse Th to Ts cells and the result is that Th cells reduce and Ts cells increase so that the ratio Th:Ts cells is more balanced.

Ginseng Rh2 is a newly discovered natural medicine for the treatment of cancer. It strongly acts in preventing metastasis of cancer cells and has the obvious function of increasing white blood cells. As an adjuvant for operations, it promotes wound healing after an operation, speeds up recovery and returns physical strength. Administration during radiotherapy and chemotherapy maintains the level of white cells, enhancing immunity and rapidly recovering the constitution. According to clinical reports the Ginseng Rh2 is very effective for treatment of malignant melanoma, metastatic cerebroma-, lung carcinoma, osteo carcinoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, stomach carcinoma, hepatic carcinoma, intestinal carcinoma, malignant lymphoma, leukemia, esophagus carcinoma, mammary carcinoma and uterus carcinoma, etc. more than 40 kinds of cancers. The main active ingredients is ®-ginsenoside RH2, the trace element extracted from red ginseng.

The chemical name of 20 ®-ginsenoside RH2, is (20 ®-Proto-Panaxadiol-3-0-B-D-glucopyranoside)

The chemical formula of 20 ®-ginsenoside RH2 is C36H6208.

A clinical report regarding 86 cancer patients who took Ginseng RH2 shows that the rate of obvious effectiveness is 68.8%, medium effectiveness is 22.1%, low effectiveness is 5.8%, zero effectiveness is 3.5%. It shows obvious induction action and anti-metastatis action for stomach carcinoma, lung carcinoma, malignant lymphoma and uterus carcinoma. The effective rate for preventing metastasis exceeds 80% and for extending life exceeds 85%.

95% of patients quickly improved their physical power after they took Ginseng RH2, 97% of patients obviously improved their quality of life and reduced their clinical symptoms. In 90.7% of patients, the tumor was either controlled, the size of the tumor reduced or it even completely disappeared. 95% of patients experienced some or total pain relief.

Of the 86 patients, 55 patients were male and 31 were female. The youngest was 8 years old and the eldest 71 years old.

Of the 86 patients, last stage patients numbered 31, middle-last stage patients numbered 55.

The cases are as follows:

-malignant melanoma 6 cases

-metastatic cerebroma 5 cases

-leukemia 6 cases

-double-kidney tumor 3 cases

-esophagus carcinoma 12 cases

-stomach carcinoma 5 cases

-malignant lymphoma 3 cases

-lung carcinoma 7 cases

-liver cancer 6 cases

-nasopharyngeal carcinoma 5 cases

-uterus carcinoma 6 cases

-mammary carcinoma 11 cases

-cyst cancer 3 cases

-intestinal carcinoma 4 cases

-single side kidney tumor 3 cases

-idopathy cerebroma 1 case

In the above cases, 83 were effective. In 1 case of idiopathic cerebroma and 3 cases of single side kidney tumor, there was no effectiveness. The rate of effectiveness was therefore 96.5%

1. It has a strong action in preventing metastasis of cancer cells and also in increasing the white blood cell count.

2. If administered during chemo and radiotherapy, it will help to maintain normal white blood cell levels thus enhancing immunity and quality of life.

Hot Tub Safety – Are Hot Tubs Bad For Your Health

As inviting and innocuous-looking as your Jacuzzi or hot tub may seem, using it for therapeutic purposes will require more precaution than you probably expect. The first rule is: if there are potentially bothersome health issues, talk to your doctor. There are bodily conditions that warrant some amount of prudence.

Most doctors will probably agree that it isn’t advisable for pregnant women to take too hot a bath. Who knows what injury the unborn baby may sustain if the mother’s body has gotten too warm? Pathogens in the water pose an added danger. Forgoing the delights of a hot tub until after giving birth and healing is a wise option many pregnant women take.

Heart Diseases

Be careful if you are taking anticoagulants. These blood-thinning drugs can make you vulnerable under extreme temperature. They may combine with the heat of the tub to cause fainting, dizziness or nausea. If the doctor gave you the go-signal to immerse yourself in the water, follow the prescribed duration and temperature, and if you feel anything undesirable or out of the ordinary, get out of the tub as soon as you can. Do it slowly, carefully. Take a cool shower, taking care that the water you shower with is not cold, and drink some more water.

High Blood Pressure

The relaxation brought about by a hot tub bath will be quite beneficial if you are suffering from high blood pressure. But beware of unwanted reactions if you are taking hypertensive mediations. Again, check with your physician first before taking that dip.

Substance Use

Imbibing alcohol while in the hot tub is like driving under the influence. When combined with the heat of the water, the dehydrating and blood-thinning effect of the alcohol may cause you to become weak or dizzy. You may also get sleepy and doze off until you slip under the water. Avoid taking over-the-counter drugs known to have the side effect of drowsiness. These would include cold, sinus and cough medications. Needless to say, you are in even greater danger if you are using illicit chemicals.

Exceeding Time Limits

There’s a limit to how long you, or anyone for that matter, should stay in a steaming tub. No more than twenty minutes inside is a good guideline. Conversing can make some people stay in the water more than is necessary. Getting overheated or dehydrated can be the result.

Water-Borne Diseases

Beware of the following conditions that may result from a poorly sanitized tub water, already made conducive to bacterial growth by the warm temperature in the first place:

  • “Hot tub” folliculitis, or pseudomonas folliculitis, an infection characterized by reddening and pus-filled blisters, and requiring medical attention.
  • The even more serious and potentially fatal Legionnaires’ disease, a form of pneumonia that is transmitted through water spray when breathed in.
  • Infections of the upper respiratory tract and the middle ear caused by bobbing of the head in and out of water.

Besides being a great way to relax, hot tubs offer therapeutic effects, when done the proper way, which is, with safety in mind. There are times when it should be altogether avoided, even under professional supervision. Otherwise certain precautions should be put into place. Hot tub or spa owners, take heed!

Potent Herbal Treatment for a Chronic Cough

A chronic cough is not actually a disease in itself. However, a cough that lasts for weeks on end is definitely physically tiring, annoying and embarrassing to say the least. The good news is there are potent medications that can relieve a chronic cough. There also are different herbal treatments that are quite effective in curing a cough. In this article you will discover the most potent kind of herbal remedies that will get rid of your cough once and for all.

A cough is considered chronic when it lasts for 8 weeks or more. A cough can be dry or productive – coughing with the presence of mucous. Usually, the first thing a person considers is to take over the counter cough suppressants or expectorants. But did you know that there are herbal remedies that are as potent in curing a chronic cough as over the counter drugs?

An expectorant is meant to cure a productive cough. It helps thin respiratory secretions. This will make it easier for the patient to cough up the phlegm. On the other hand, a cough suppressant aims to lessen the urge to cough. This medication does not really work if there is mucous present, however it does do wonders in relieving a dry, itchy cough. But try to remember that coughing can sometimes be healthy, since it is the body’s natural defense mechanism in clearing the airways and lungs of irritants. So it is not really advisable to take a suppressant if you just experience occasional coughing or an itchy throat.

Natural Expectorant Herbs

Sage is a great natural expectorant which you can take in the form of tea. You can easily make your own homemade sage tea by grounding up sage leaves and mix 2 teaspoonfuls of the ground leaves with hot water. Or mix 1 tsp of dried sage with 1 cup of hot water. Sweeten it with 1 teaspoon of natural honey if you wish. For a more exotic taste, you might want to add a dash of thyme which is also considered an excellent cough expectorant. Note: Extreme doses of medicinal sage are not recommended for pregnant or nursing women.

Licorice can act as a natural expectorant as well as a cough suppressant. It has a great ability to soothe an irritated throat. You can take it as tea or purchase licorice lozenges which are readily available in your local drugstore. Note: Licorice should not be taken if you are suffering from high blood pressure

Eucalyptus is an excellent expectorant and decongestant. You are probably familiar with eucalyptus drops or lozenges. But for a chronic cough, a eucalyptus chest rub has been proven to be more effective. If your cough persists, make use of eucalyptus steam inhalation. Mix 10 drops of eucalyptus oil along with 4 drops of hyssop oil, another potent herbal expectorant, into a pot of boiling water and inhale the steam.

Horehound is yet another effective herbal expectorant which can also act as a cough suppressant. Studies show that this herb helps in stimulating bronchial secretions. Horehound is quite bitter, so you might want to take sweetened lozenges or purchase pure horehound herb in tablet form.

Garlic, the popular cure-all herb, is another potent cough expectorant. You can eat it raw, one clove three times a day. Or you can use it as a steam inhalant or chest rub. You might also want to prepare homemade garlic syrup by grating a whole clove of garlic, excrete its juice and mix it with 1 teaspoonful of honey.

Natural Cough Suppressant Herbs

Elecampane root has been used for ages as a cough remedy. Inulin, a compound found in elecampane root, helps in breaking up congestion. You can find this herb in natural health stores in tea or tincture form.

Peppermint contains menthol which is a very effective natural cough suppressant. It can also work well as a cough expectorant. Notice that peppermint is used in popular cough lozenges and it is also a widely used ingredient in manufacturing chest rubs. There are great tasting peppermint teas available in supermarkets or you can use peppermint oil with a steam inhaler. Note: Peppermint tea or peppermint oil is not recommended for young children.

Coltsfoot is another popular cough suppressant. Tussilago is coltsfoot’s botanical name which means “cough dispeller.” Coltsfoot leaves and flowers have cough suppressant properties. Traditionally it has been used in treating asthma, excess mucous buildup, dry cough and bronchitis. You can take this herb in tea or tincture form. However, it is recommended to use coltsfoot for only a short term.

Echinacea is a Native American herb that has several medicinal benefits and it has been popular for thousands of years in preventing infections and treating wounds. At the present time, Echinacea is popular for its ability to reduce symptoms of the flu, including sore throat, fever and cough. Several herbalists claim that this herb is great in helping boost the immune system and it helps the body fight infections.

Unlike over the counter medications, herbal remedies for treating chronic cough have very few known side effects, sometimes, none at all. Besides, these herbs are all natural and have been proven time and again to be potent cough expectorants and/or suppressants.

Elderberry – The Salutary Plant Used For Centuries

Let me share with you some extra healthy benefits and interesting facts about this small tree which we can plant and grow in our yards.

Short Presentation

Elderberry or Sambucus is a big shrub native to Europe and to the United States. The plant is member of honeysuckle family. Its white and delicate flowers turn into berries – black or dark blue. Their flavour is sharp sweet and a little bitter but it is preferred in many recipes. I will tell you more about that later. Its leaves are pinnate with 5 to 9 leaflets with length 5 to 30 cm. You can see the whole beauty of Elderberry in late Spring when it blooms.

Health Benefits

Elderberry contains tannin, amino acids, organic pigments, carotenoids, flavonoids, rutin and large amounts of vitamins C, A, B. Many studies have proven that some of the ingredients in the shrub are strong antioxidants and can protect the cells against damage. In a Oncology laboratory in Israel doctors have found that the plant stimulates the better function of the immune system and they have treated patients with AIDS and cancer with it. From colds and flu to fight against asthma, weight loss and diabetes, everyone can discover the benefits of elder, depending on his personal needs and individual condition of the immune system. Other positive side of using the shrub in your menu for healthier life is that it is good for the cardiovascular protection. The levels of fibre in it are really high and can help with the elimination of the “bad” cholesterol which automatically makes some space for the “good” one, that every human body needs. When you need to clear your throat, or have bronchitis that has bad influence on your respiratory system the juice from elder is the best choice for you.

Easy Homemade Elderberry Recipe

I will present you the most helpful and popular recipe with Elderberry, that can help you if you have any of the health problems listed above, or if you just want to try something new and good, prepared at your home.

Elderflower Syrup

Elderflowers – cleaned and enough to fill ½ gallon jar

2 thinly sliced lemons

5 cups water

5 ½ cups sugar

1 packet citric acid

Put in a large jar the thinly sliced lemons and Elderflowers. Then make a syrup with the water, the sugar and the citric acid. Wait to boil a few minutes, then pour the flowers in the hot water and leave them a few days in a sunny place under cover. Then strain the juice and close it in glass bottles.

Care of Elderberries

If you want to grow this plant in your garden, you need to know that caring for it in the first years of its life is a little more specific – it prefers moist soil and you don’t have to expect fruits until its second year. Better plant two or more shrubs near each other to make the cross-pollination easier. My advice is to look for competent gardening services in your living area, to tell you what fertilizer you need to put on the tree and in what conditions is good to prune it. Only then you will have a healthy plant that blooms year after year.

3 Exercises To Help With Most Cases Of Shoulder Pain

Anyone who has had shoulder pain knows how incredibly painful it can be. Just trying to do everyday activities like carrying groceries or working at the computer can seem pretty debilitating.

People with shoulder pain often get diagnosed with “impingement syndrome” or “rotator cuff tendinitis” by their doctors. If the diagnosis is nothing severe like a torn muscle/tendon, fracture, or even a bursitis, exercise and anti-inflammatory drugs are usually what the doctor suggests.

So, you usually get a prescription for a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, or, NSAID, such as Naproxen or Motrin. The typical “take two of these and call me in the morning” type doctor visit.

Disclaimer: This article is not meant to be medical advice for anyone reading it. However, as a physical therapist, a lot of my personal patients ask me what is the best exercises to do to get rid of shoulder pain. I have to tell them that there are definitely some that they actually want to avoid. These are generally the “pushing” exercises.

Because most cases of shoulder pain are due to “impingement” problems, pushing exercises typically make these symptoms worse. The reason this happens is that when you things like overhead or bench presses (or anything like these), it can cause the tendons of the shoulder to be pinched between the arm bone and the shoulder blade. This is the real cause of most cases of shoulder pain.

What you want to do are exercises that actually open the gap between these two bones. When you increase the relative space between the humerus and the scapula, you relieve the pressure on the tissues which leads to a decrease in inflammation. This in turn will lead to an increase in circulation to the area and allow some healing to take place.

Along with icing the area, the 3 exercises that I recommend people do are 1) shrugs, 2) lat pulldowns, and 3) triceps push downs When doing them, I have found it best to use a minimal to moderate amount of weight. Remember, this isn’t strength training. All you are trying to do is sufficiently activate the target muscles so as to give yourself some pain relief.

Let me go over the rationale for each of these exercises.

Doing shrugs, whether straight up and down or in a circular motion, actually will draw the scapula back and down. The shrugging motion hits the upper and middle traps, as well as the rhomboid muscles ( these are the major muscles, but not the only muscles the exercise hits).

When the traps and rhomboids are activated, they actually work to bring the shoulder blade back and down. When the shoulder blade tips back, the “acromium process” is moved away from the upper arm bone and away from the tendons that are being pinched.

Lat Pulldowns

Moving on the latissimus pulldown exercise. The latissimus muscle attaches to the inside of the upper arm. It works to pull the upper arm behind the body. The pulldown motion will also recruit other minor muscles that will work along side the latissimus to reposition the arm bone is a more proper place

As a secondary added benefit, doing a lat pull down will also draw the shoulder blades back and away from the upper arm. This will provide even more relief of pressure on the sore spots.

Triceps Push Downs

A frequent offender in shoulder pain cases is the biceps tendon. The long head of the biceps to be specific. This is because this small tendon goes up and over the front of the shoulder joint and attaches to the top part of the shoulder joint itself. So, to deal with shoulder pain, you need a good exercise to relieve some of the pressure and tension on the biceps muscles.

The triceps push down is just such an exercise. When you do the exercise correctly with fixed elbows at your side, you isolate the working triceps muscles. This in turn will actually reduce the tension and pain in the biceps muscle and give even more shoulder pain relief.

When you work the triceps, the brain has to relax the biceps. This automatic and neurological relaxation relieves the muscular tension on the front side of the arm and brings a good deal of pain reduction to the inflamed and irritated tissues on the front of the arm and into the joint.

When starting out with these 3 exercises, the important thing to remember is that you don’t need to be aggressive when doing them. Your reps should be relatively slow and deliberate. Shoot for 10-15 reps and no more than 3 sets. Your weight should be minimal to moderate. Just enough for you to feel the resistance. Be aware of any signs of increase in pain or symptoms and stop the exercises if you feel any increase in pain.

It’s good for anyone trying to get rid of shoulder pain to avoid all other types of upper body work until your shoulder pain has been totally resolved for at least a week. 2-3 weeks.

Remember, consult your own physical therapist or doctor and see what they say before you jump into doing any type of exercise program for pain.

Rotator Cuff Injury – Worst Case Scenario

The most severe forms of rotator cuff injury have two common causes. They are separated into acute and chronic onset injuries.

An “acute” onset is related to an identifiable incident or event. This can be something such as a sports injury or car crash. This is the most common cause of cuff problems in younger people (under 40 years old).

A “chronic” injury comes on more slowly over time and is much more common in people over 40. A chronic injury is often caused through gradual wear and tear or impingement of the cuff tendons.

Major Trauma

Tremendous damage can be done to the human body by car crashes, sports injuries and falls. Anything with a significant impact can result in an injury to the rotator cuff. Such events are, thankfully, still quite rare.

If you have suffered just such a misfortune your cuff is likely to be fairly low down in order of priority. You will be much more concerned with stabilising major organs, healing broken bones and being put back together again.

Over time, however, you will realise that your rotator cuff injury symptoms will also require attention. Chances are this was overlooked at the time of the original incident; unless you suffered significant shoulder damage. There are just too many complicating factors in trauma cases for me to cover all possibilities now.

Complete rupture

By far, the severest rotator cuff injury is a complete rupture or full thickness tear. This is often complicated by the tendon detaching itself from the Humerus.

The degree of severity is generally considered to be decided upon the size of the tear. This can be further complicated by the number of torn tendons. For example, a full thickness tear of two, or more, rotator cuff tendons, is about as bad as it could ever get.

A fully torn rotator cuff may require surgery but this is not always the best option. Surgical success increases in relation to patient age. The younger you are, the better the overall quality of the affected tendon is likely to be, this improves the chances of healing.

The two major symptoms associated with cuff injuries are pain and weakness. The pain can be severe and the weakness truly debilitating. Pain and weakness can also lead to further problems developing; everything from sleep disorders to depression.

The pain is often centred on the front and outer part of the shoulder, particularly towards the point. Weakness in the shoulder can affect both strength and range of movement.

The most severe cases will always require surgery. In all other cases, exercise is the key. Pain is reduced, strength and mobility restored and all purely through rest and following a straightforward exercise program.

Surgical success varies from 90% in the young with small tears and good quality tendons to a failure rate of 40% in older patients with large tears and poor quality tendons.

Ultimately your recovery is dependent upon you and what you do after initial diagnosis or after rotator cuff surgery. If you follow the rotator cuff tear rehab advice given you will hugely increase your chances of a completely successful recovery. To learn more join me here rotator cuff injury

The Four Cardinal Points of Any Good Writing: Expression, Content, Organization & Technical Accuracy

Every piece of writing that is judged to be good must have these four cardinal factors; otherwise the writing will fall flat regardless of its intended purpose. Remember the intent of your writing should be to inform, instruct, entertain, solve a problem or show how to achieve a goal or objective. Always write for your target audience and not the internet or the search engines. When you connect to your audience, the rewards come back to you. The four factors are: Expression, Content, Organization and Mechanical Accuracy.

Expression: This is how you project your writing for the world to see, read and evaluate. Good writing is a craft. That’s why writers are called wordsmiths. A picture may be more than a thousand words but it also takes words to create pictures in your reader’s mind. This is the first factor that attracts audience to your writing just as bees are attracted to nectar. You may have heard that you must write to express and not to impress. Don’t write for ego; write for your audience with clarity and simplicity–so that everybody can understand your perspective and subject matter. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Expression is an art form. You must use your words to connect and create vivid images in your reader’s mind. People only apply what they understand. It all boils down to your choice of words, style, personality and overall thinking process. You must use powerful words and emotional triggers. Eliminate boring adverbs and dangling modifiers as much as you can. Use active verbs instead of helping verbs or adjectives. Active verbs make your writing to be more alive and dynamic. Realize that movement generates pleasure. Use active voice rather than passive voice. Thus expression is not just what you say but how you say it. However, what you say is also important.

Content: This is the factor that separates the mediocre from the masters. “Either you write something worth reading or you do something worth writing,” said Benjamin Franklin. Content is the substance and the essence of your writing. In short, content is the heart-beat of any great writing. It is the value you brought to the marketplace. People are value and quality shoppers. They want the best for the least amount of money. You have heard it said that in the internet, content is king. The story is the same everywhere. Content is the quality of the material you put out. This has to do with the key benefits the readers will extract from your writing to solve their problems or achieve their goals. As a writer, you must always ask yourself: “how can my writing solve problems or change lives?” A good writing that sells itself is writing with great content. Search engines love content. Therefore, put out good content that people love and seek. Then the search engines will locate you naturally and people will seek your offers. Let your content be fresh and original instead of recycled materials that flood the internet. Content is what search (and research) is all about. Having said that, you must also know how to arrange and organize your content so that the information is readable and digestible.

Organization: One of the most difficult things about writing is how to organize and arrange your thoughts. “Most writings are a few good thoughts drifting about in a sea of words,” said Jamie Buckingham. Organization is a product of coherence and consistency. How does your thoughts flow logically as in a flower? One idea must lead and link to the next. To be consistent, you need style manual as a guide. Therefore, try to plan your writing. Outline the key points or bare bone essentials you may want to develop before you put the flesh as you go. Let each paragraph contain a theme or one main idea. The flesh can be the description, examples or anecdotes to buttress your points. Organization is a process. It comes with practice, experience and writing intuition. You get better as you keep on writing. Formatting is a very important part of your organization. Arrange information in chunks.

That’s how the human brain process information. That’s why it’s called bites and bytes. Formatting is about headings, paragraphing, bullets, lists, typography, lines and spacing to create visual appeal for your readers. You don’t need to be a graphic artist to develop a good sense of organization. Did you notice that majority of HTML tags are formatting tags? Any good content and expression can fall flat without good formatting–it is a key part of your organization. The best way to learn this art is to glean from other good writings. After trial and success, it comes together with practice. Either you keep writing or you become a write-off. My watch word is: “Persistent practice prevents poor performance.” The more you write the better you grow as a writer. Practice does not make perfect; practice makes improvements and improvements make perfect.

Mechanical (Technical) Accuracy: This is fancy way of saying that your writings should be free of errors. Mechanical Accuracy is the Achilles tendon of most writers. They worry too much about the difference between colon and semi colon–causing paralysis analysis. This is the key reason why many people dread writing. Mechanical accuracy has to do with your typographical errors, spelling, punctuation and syntax. This is why you must have your writing tools: spell checkers, dictionary, encyclopedia and other reference materials. Remember that no writing is readable until it is free of errors. It is also a smart idea to give your writing to someone else to proofread and edit because of human factors. Overall most good writers are made in rewriting. The key lies in the principle of the 3Rs: revise, review and rewrite.

Your writing process is like preparing a good meal. All four ingredients must be present in your recipe before you create a balanced food for thought.

Gastric Bypass Surgery – Pros and Cons

In the United States obesity is a grave problem and the numbers of those that are suffering from disorders that are obesity-related are increasing. Being obese is one of the major causes of diabetes. Gastric bypass surgery is one type of bariatric surgery. It is done to treat morbid obesity by bypassing a part of your small intestine and reducing the size of your stomach. When your stomach is reduced you will consume less food but feel like you are full. As with any surgery, there are pros and cons that you should take into consideration before making a final decision to have or not have the surgery.

After having this form of bariatric surgery it is recommended that you follow a prescribed diet along with exercising regularly. How successful the surgery would be depends on whether you adhere to your health regimen.

• Approximately seventy percent of those that take medication for high blood pressure do not have to take the medicine any longer as your blood pressure is reduced.

• You will also see a reduction in blood cholesterol with approximately eighty percent reporting a decrease in their cholesterol level. Your cholesterol level will return to normal within two to three months after surgery.

• The risk of heart disease is reduced.

• If diagnosed with Type II diabetes you are less likely to continue with your diabetic medication

• If you have asthma the frequency of the attacks will be reduced and in some they may stop altogether.

• Within a few months after surgery any respiratory problems you have are eliminated.

• Sleep disorders related to obesity such as Sleep Apnea Syndrome are eliminated

• It will help to eliminate Acid Reflux Disease

• The weight loss is permanent.

This type of bariatric surgery is very likely to give you many side-effects as this surgery interferes with the functioning of some metabolic activities. This can lead to problems. Having this surgery is very expensive and most insurance companies will not cover the surgery.

• Urinary tract infections

• Bowel obstruction, constipation, or other changed bowel habits

• Obstruction in your stomach outlet as in post surgery the outlet reduces in size substantially so if you do not chew your food properly it could become stuck. Basically anything that is bigger than the outlet can obstruct the passage.

• Nutritional problems that are chronic

• Mineral and vitamin deficiencies

• Nausea

• Muscle mass loss

• Reversal is almost impossible

• Occurrence of incisional hernia and gallstones

• Hair loss

• Certain complications could lead to death

Buy Hepatica For the Liver, Digestion and Other Benefits

Hepatica Americana

Ranunculaceae (buttercup family)

Hepatica takes its common and genus names from the supposed resemblance of its lobed leaves to the shape of the liver – in Latin, hepaticus means “liver.” As its important earlier uses include treatment for liver problems, that connection may also have influenced the choice of name. Earlier observers watched nature closely for useful healing medicines. Hepatica’s species name affirms that it is a native American plant, as is the sharp-lobed hepatica, H. acutiloba, whose species name literally means “sharp leaf,” from the Latin acus, “needle.” These two native species favour moist rich woodland soil and grow from Nova Scotia to Georgia, Alabama, and Louisiana, west to Missouri and Minnesota. Their diminutive daisy-like flowers with five to seven pastel petals range from lavender and blue to white or pink. The genus embraces about ten Northern Hemisphere species of small, hardy perennials. These ephemeral wildflowers are slightly downy (hairy) and bloom in early spring, after which their distinctive shiny green leaves dominate. They stand about four to eight inches tall.

Traditional uses:

Indians used hepatica leaf teas and decoctions to treat liver ailments, as a laxative, as a digestive aid, and to wash sore, swollen breasts. This mildly astringent botanical also served as a diuretic and a treatment for colds, coughs, and fevers and, for the Seneca, as a tonic. The Cherokee chewed the roots to relieve coughs and sore throat, and the Delaware used them as hunting charms. The Forest Potawatomi used the root and leaves in a sweet tea to relieve vertigo. For the Meskwaki, the root provided decoctions to drink to treat various ailments, and the Menomini combined the hepatica roots with the roots of maidenhair fern in decoctions to treat female disorders

During the late nineteenth century; hepatica leaves were consumed by the hundreds of thousands of pounds in various “liver tonics.” Numerous root decoctions were used as treatments for stomach aches and diarrhea and as laxatives.

Modern uses:

Today herbalists use hepatica roots and leaves in some tonic preparations to treat liver and kidney problems. Hepatica also has virtue in treating indigestion, coughs, and fevers.

Growth needs and propagation:

Hepatica thrives in rich, well-drained soil in mostly shade or open shade. The plants may be easily propagated from seed or root divisions or purchased from plant nurseries.

The hepaticas grow well with other members of the buttercup family in the herb garden. They also keep good company with hellebore, maidenhair fern, ginseng, goldthread, and goldenseal.

[Sharp-lobed hepatica] prevents conception. Steep 3 plants in three quarts of water for a strong dose. Drink the quantity as soon as possible.

What Is Spongiotic Dermatitis?

Spongiotic dermatitis is commonly known as ‘Acute eczema’ which is a chronic skin condition that typically affects the skin on and around the abdominal and chest areas. It is also quite common for other areas such as the buttocks to be affected. Unlike a lot of other skin conditions which usually affect the head and scalp it is unusual for this type of dermatitis to affect this area of the body.

This particular dermatitis is usually contracted by the sufferer at a relatively young age and babies quite often start to show symptoms similar to diaper rash. It is a known fact that males are three times more likely to contract this type of skin condition than females.

Typically spongiotic dermatitis initially manifests as a severe bout of itchiness and after a while a rash often appears. It is believed that the most common cause of this skins condition is as a result of an allergic reaction. The main allergic reactions are food allergies, allergies to certain insect bites as well as reactions to particular drugs and other types of medication.

What Are The Symptoms to Look For?

The most common symptom of Spongiotic dermatitis is the formation of a skin rash. This rash initially appears on the sufferer’s abdomen and chest and sometimes buttocks areas and is typically red in color. As the condition progresses and worsens the rash can turn a darker color and if left untreated the rash can actually appear to turn black in color.

If the spongiotic dermatitis condition does not get treated effectively the rash may develop into a welt and the affected skin can become quite rough and crusty in appearance. Often the rash can weep and ooze fluid which further irritates the affected skin making subsequent treatment more difficult and time consuming.

Each sufferer of spongiotic dermatitis has their own trigger that causes the outbreak so to determine the actual cause is often a very lengthy process of trial and error. If you are a sufferer it is important to start monitoring the substances you regularly come into contact with and this way you can start a process of identification and elimination via certain biopsy tests. The condition is also believed to be hereditary.

Once your doctor has diagnosed that you are a sufferer of spongiotic dermatitis your treatment will more than likely start with a course of specialized creams and lotions. Initially the lotions will be menthol based formulations that are to be applied directly onto the rash. If you do not show signs of improvement using the menthol lotions it is likely that it is necessary to use a stronger prescription cream such as corticosteroid. This will help to relieve the itching as well as reduce the welts and rash.

It is known that changes in diet can help to contain the outbreak of this type of dermatitis. Also taking vitamin A tablets has been shown to assist in slowing down or stopping further development of the rash. If you have a chronic case of spongiotic dermatitis you will probably be prescribed anti-inflammatory medications. Prednisone is a commonly prescribed anti-inflammatory drug. If the sufferer is currently pregnant or is breastfeeding they should alert their doctor so that any drugs prescribed do not harm the unborn child or nursing infant.

Anti Fungal Diet – For Treating Yeast Infections

While not as popular, having an anti fungal diet is a good treatment for yeast infection. The body naturally produces yeast. However, when the body produces too much yeast, it manifests externally in warm and moist parts of our body. This is why yeast cultures form in the oral cavity or vagina.

Since yeast infection occurs when the body is overgrown with yeast, one way to prevent and treat it is to fight it from the inside. An anti fungal diet will regulate the growth of yeast in the body. There are two parts in treating yeast infections through diets: eating the right foods and avoiding the wrong foods.

What to eat:

  • Fiber rich food such as oats and wheat. These fibers hinder the growth of yeast in the body
  • Legumes such as nuts and peas are also good against candida as they inhibit the growth of yeast.
  • Green leafy vegetables such as cabbage, spinach and lettuce have anti-fungal properties when digested.
  • Radish is another vegetable that is both antibacterial and anti-fungal.
  • Yogurt is very effective against yeast overgrowth. Although yogurt can help reduce yeast because it contains good bacteria, it is still a dairy product. Also, make sure you only eat the unsweetened or unflavored variety to ensure it contains little to no sugar.
  • Spices such as ginger and garlic also has anti fungal properties. Make sure you use these spices for your anti fungal diet.

What to avoid:

  • Sugary food. Yeast thrives in sugar so avoid eating too much sweets even fruits.
  • Carbohydrates should be avoided as much as possible. Rice, pasta and bread are good sources of carbohydrates that can feed yeast further.
  • Obviously, food containing yeast should be avoided such as bread, cakes and cookies.

These are your anti fungal diet tips. Try them, they really work.
