Alcohol and Erectile Problems – How to Get Instant Erections

If you love drinking alcohol, I have some bad news for you.

Alcohol and erectile problems go hand in hand. Alcohol can make you impotent and seriously ruin your relationship. In fact, a lot of young guys experience erectile dysfunction due to indulgence in drinking.

The Science

Blood flow to the penis, testosterone levels in your body and the state of your mental well being are some of the most important factors that play a vital role in making you achieve a harder and stiffer erection.

Sexual stimulation results in a complex reaction in your central nervous systems that passes impulses to the blood vessels to increase blood flow to the penis. Your heart begins pumping blood faster so that more blood is allowed into the penile region.

Now, alcohol can disrupt this entire process. While it can help you get over your inhibitions, it can also suppress your central nervous system. This can kill the entire process and your body does not properly signal the blood vessels to supply enough blood to the penis. Not just this, alcohol abuse over time can also result in nerve damage in the penal. This is often irreversible and can make you impotent for life.

There are studies which reveal that this kind of nerve damage can leave you impotent even when you are sober!

But this is not all!

Alcohol also increases the level of estrogen or the female hormone in your body. What it means is that testosterone or the male hormone levels dip. A drop in testosterone not only lowers your libido but also results in impaired erectile function.

So every glass of alcohol that you drink gets you a notch closer to erectile problems and the situation worsens over time.

Another effect of alcohol consumption is that it can increase body fat. This is closely related to an increase in estrogen levels. Estrogen is associated with fat accumulation and water retention in your body. No wonder, men who drink alcohol often have larger bellies and male breasts. Development of male breasts is a condition that is called Gynaecomastia and can be really embarrassing.

Alcohol is also responsible for making you feel depressed. Depression, nervousness and anxiety are some of the most basic psychological reasons behind erectile dysfunction in men. Such factors can make men a complete failure in bed. What makes things worse is that dealing with impotence or erectile dysfunction is not easy for men. It seems to put them under extreme stress which kind of worsens the situation resulting in a spiral like effect.

How to Get Over Alcohol Impotence

First and foremost, it is important to quit drinking. Now, this is not easy but it is not impossible either. If your are determined to enjoy better sex and also improve your overall health, you need to take concrete steps towards this. In such a case, it is important to seek a therapist's consultation.

However, if you are not too much into drinking, you can easily do it yourself by focusing on your goals.

Beside giving up alcohol, it is also important to learn some stress management techniques so that you can get over factors such as depression, stress and anxiety.

Over and above, there are some herbal solutions that can offer great help.

Certain herbs have been used as aphrodisiacs for thousands of years and can boost sexual function in men. Erection oils can be the best form of such herbal remedies specifically in cases when men find it difficult to get erections after having a couple of drinks. These oils are topical applications that get absorbed straight into the bloodstream when rubbed on the penis, result in almost immediate erections by rushing blood to the penis.

The Job of Tonsils

If you are one of those unfortunate people who had their tonsils yanked out in childhood, it may interest you to know that studies have shown that such an act reduces your overall energy by 5% on average. That's 5% that you never get back; the best you can do from then on is 95% of top functioning. Sure, some people really did need those pesky little balls of suppurating substance taken out so they could actually breathe, but most people could have had a more natural route of healing.

The tonsils are there for a reason; they are part of the first line of defense in the body. If you check the internet for information about the importance of tonsils, you will usually find that they are considered to be fairly unnecessary, like the gallbladder and appendix. This attitude of the conventional medical community is short-sighted at best and criminal at its worst. Rather than taking the time to work with patients to get rid of the cause of tonsillitis, it is easier-and more lucrative-to take the offending organs out.

Most pediatricians will agree that tonsils and adenoids must be removed when they become massively inflamed and full of lymphocytes (pus). This is due to the fact that these organs can become large enough to actually block breathing and swallowing, as well as the concern that left untreated, the tonsils can actually burst, get areas of necrosis, and allow further infections to develop, including cancer. Unfortunately, natural medicine treatments are almost never pursued by conventional doctors, who have developed a method of treating symptoms, rather than causes.

Tonsils and adenoids are mainly composed of lymphoid tissue; this is involved in producing antibodies. Since there are many places in the body with this type of tissue, tonsils and adenoids are thought to be unnecessary. Pediatricians tend to think that the excess of viral infections kids are exposed to these days make the tonsils react too vigorously and then become 'dysfunctional'. Perhaps we need look no further than the excessive amount of vaccinations performed upon innocent little bodies to find a cause for such overactive organs.

Another job of tonsils appears to be in the handling of parasites. Since people are more affected by parasites now than in previous decades, it seems having an intact tonsils might be a good idea. These little organs considered useless are also the first to jump in and start production of antibodies to whatever has passed by them that is harmful to the body. This lead time gives the immune system the jump-start it needs to get the upper hand in the battle against bacteria, viruses and parasites. True, one can become quite miserable when the tonsils and adenoids are infected, but there are several natural treatments available to lessen the impact. While conventional doctors think tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy have generally positive results, the fact is that adults who still have these organisms are actually healthier than the rest of the population. Useless organs? I do not think so.

What Is OCD, Or Obsessive Compulsive Anxiety Disorder?

If you have experienced repeated obsessions and compulsions that are out of control, you may be suffering from obsessive compulsive anxiety disorder, or OCD.

Many of us tend to maintain a daily routine. For example, most of us wash our hands before eating, and have some nature of bedtime ritual. It is even customary to make sure that all your book collections are arranged according to size and all your clothes kept according to color. This form of compulsion is not typically harmful.

Obsessive compulsions include such things as re-washing your hands five times or rearranging your furniture four times a day. These obsessions intervene with your social, educational, and occupational roles.

Two out of a hundred people are affected by OCD. The conduct of those who suffer from this disorder is usually associated with a sense of danger, trauma or risk. Affected individuals are compelled to perform their compulsions over and over because of their inflated concept of fear.

What Types of OCD Exist?

There have been five types of OCD identified. Here are the basic fears that tend to bring out obsessive-compulsive behavior:

  • Aversion to Dirt and Germs – Nicknamed the 'Washers and Cleaners', these patients are continuously worried that they will get dirt or germs on them. Being contaminated by germs is this patient's worst fear. These individuals display such OCD behavior as washing their clothes multiple times before wearing them, scouring surfaces they have already scrubbed, and washing their hands five or six times in a row.
  • Scared of Catastrophe – An unreasonable feeling of imminent doom follows these patients wherever they go. Checkers live with inordinate fear that failure to re-check things (doors, on and off switches) over and over will cause harm to themselves and others. They prepare routines that are often so comprehensive that there is no time left in their day for common daily tasks.
  • Fear of Disorderliness – "Orderers" constantly find themselves arranging things the "right" way. They expend a lot of time organizing things and feel very stressed if their things are rearranged, moved or even touched.
  • Fear of Nasty Thoughts – The 'Obsessions' find themselves unable to discontinue their thoughts from turning to injuring someone. To banish their horrifying thoughts, they may sing a word over and over or count to the highest number they can.
  • Fear of Throwing Something Away In Case It Is Needed – The 'Hoarders' are aptly named, as they pile up everything and decline to throw anything away. The thought of someday needs something that they may have thrown away at an earlier time can be so paralyzing for these people that they will not throw away one solitary item. They also collect a mound of potentially practical items, but have so many of them that they could never put them all to good use.

OCD is classified as a psychoneurotic behavior. Doctors claim that OCD can be hereditary or caused by other conditions such as an infection or bout of depression. Obsessive compulsive anxiety disorder treatment may include medication, therapy, or a combination of both.

Diabetes Cure

Is there a diabetes cure? Not yet. But let's look at what is happening to offer some hope.

A diabetes cure would be terrific. In the Western World, almost 20% of the population already have diabetes, and as countries in the rest of the world adopt a Western lifestyle, the same is beginning to be seen all over, with India and China seeing an intense rise in diabetes cases .

In Type 1, where the insulin making in the pancreas are destroyed, it might seem that a cure would be impossible. However this is not the case and there are a number of possibilities being studied at the moment which might offer a real cure.

There are also some experimental treatments being studied which stop the body's immune processes continuing to destroy the beta cells of the pancreas. Of particular interest is treatment with the BCG vaccine, which is normally used for tuberculosis. It has been suggested that the nerves supplying the pancreas may play some part in causing diabetes, and there is some evidence that treatments with drugs affecting these nerves can help the beta cells recover. All these studies are in their very early stages, but they do offer some hope in the future.

With Type 2 diabetes, which makes up 95% of the total, there are also hopes. There are two main approaches here, both of which have been shown to be effective in practice.

The first is simply cutting the amount of carbohydrates in the diet. In the past many people were treated in this way, but nowdays the recommendations from the major diabetes associations is to eat a reliably high carbohydrate and low fat diet because of the fear of heart disease. In fact, the evidence for this approach is rather poor, and the pendulum is beginning to swing back towards using diets with a much lower carbohydrate content. Some people have claimed that if you reduce the carbohydrates intake enough, diabetes will simply go away in quite a lot of people.

The other main approach of interest is based on the theory that Type 2 diabetes may be precipitated by artificially processed fats called trans fats. These do not occur naturally, but are used broadly in food production. There is evidence that these should be eliminated absolutely from what we eat and replaced with natural fats and oils known as cis fats, mostly of the omega-3 group which you get in flax oil, hemp oil and fish oils.

A diabetes cure may not be around the corner, but certainly there are hopes that some or all of the approaches described above may help to reduce the damage caused by diabetes, which is rapidly becoming the commonest cause of death worldwide.

Penis Rash Q and A – How a Penis Health Cream Can Help

Ask a group of men where they would least like to experience a rash on their body, and most, if not all of them will point to the penal. Unfortunately, skin is skin, and the same irritants that can affect the rest of the body can also lead to penis rash, as well as itching, burning, and redness. To help identify the causes of some unpleasant penis symptoms, some common conditions affecting the delicate male skin are discussed in the following Q & A. In addition, some tips for banishing an itchy rash and leaving behind soft, healthy penis skin are offered.

Q: Can men really get yeast infections?

A: They sure can. While many people think of yeast infection as a female affliction, everyone – men included – has Candida yeast spores on their skin. When the body's chemistry changes, or an ideal environment is present (think warm, moist and dark), the spores can kick into overdrive. In men, this can result in penis symptoms like an itchy, red rash; fissures in the skin, a whitish discharge, and swelling. Treatment with an over-the-counter antifungal is generally effective; men who are in a sexual relationship should ask their partners to undergo treatment, as well, to prevent passing the infection back and forth.

Q: What does jock itch look like?

A: Jock itch, known medically as tinea cruris, is another type of fungal infection caused by an organism that is similar to the one that causes athlete's foot. The infection generally appears as red, spreading rash that may have a well-defined border; this can be extremely itchy and uncomfortable. Jock itch is more frequently found around the groin, inner thighs, and scrotum than on the penis, but some men have experienced penis rash as a result of tinea cruris. The condition is treated with anti-fungal creams, powders or sprays.

Q: Could it be an allergy?

A: Yes, there are a number of irritants that can cause an allergic reaction on the penile skin. Latex is a top contender in this category, but insect bites, laundry detergents, toxic plants, personal cleansing products, fragrances, and even certain fabrics can cause an allergic skin reaction. Men who suspect a skin allergy should wash the area thoroughly, avoid contact with any possible irritants, and see a doctor for testing and treatment. Antihistamines are often used to help men deal with allergic reactions on the penile skin.

Q: Do psoriasis and eczema affect the penis?

A: They can, and men who have experienced one of these conditions Elsewhere on the body should be on the lookout if a penal rash does occurs. An itchy, peeling, red, flat rash can indicate either one of these, and related rashes can come and go periodically. A doctor can advise on the best course of treatment, which usually involves managing the symptoms. Cortisone creams may help, although these can cause additional skin problems; some patients have experienced good results from the application of vitamins A and / or E.

Q: Does a penis health cream really benefit the penis?

A: In general, yes. A high-quality penis health cream (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil) can be a good way to keep the skin in good condition and even improve its appearance. In many cases, men who have experienced a loss of sensation have reported an increase in sensitivity after using a vaccine vitamin cream. A product containing botanical moisturizers such as Shea butter, as well as skin-friendly nutrients like vitamins A, C and E, can help to soothe distressed penile skin, relieve penis symptoms like dryness and irritation, and leave the dermal tissue feeling soft, smooth and supple. Before using any topical cream or ointment, though, it is important to check with a doctor, and creams should never be applied to broken skin or open sores.

Finding a Matte Bronzer – Perfect For Your Skin and Understated

Matte bronzers are harder to find than one would think; most of them contain a sheen, sparkle or some sort of shine. Cargo Bronzing Powder in Medium Matte for $25 it’s a beautifully subtle bronzer. My all-time favorite is the Clinique matte bronzer. It’s not orange the way that some bronzers can look. The price point is decent as well; Clinique is one of the affordable department store brands.

Make sure to apply bronzers with a larger powder brush. Simply using your blush brush can run you into trouble. The problem is that a blush brush will concentrate the color into a small area. You might end up with severe-looking streaks. With bronzer you want a more global glow. I recommend investing in a large powder brush. Sephora or Ulta are great retailers for brushes. My favorites include the Vincent Longo Deluxe Blush Brush, the Sephora professional bronzer brush, and the Nars bronzer brush. Remember, brushes are an investment, so they may seem expensive. But brushes are a one-time purchase if you maintain them. Frequently wash them with mild soap or makeup brush soap. Ulta and beauty supply stores sometimes have sales, so you might want to hunt for a good price.

Another route to take would be to try a liquid bronzer. They are blendable, the intensity of color can be controlled and they finish matte. This choice might be scary for some. A liquid bronzer seems hard to control and dark when it squeezes out of the bottle. But it’s really quite simple to use. They’re easier to blend than a traditional powder-based product: use two fingers held together and blend in a circular motion on the apples of the cheek outward, your forehead and the chin area. As a fair-skinned girl, I recommend the Stila Sun gel bronzer – It’s going to look the most natural, without any shine. To take any shine out of the finish, apply your usual translucent powder. And, a beach glow without the sun!

And yet another option would be to try a gradual face self-tanner. I like this option because it makes your face look beautiful with very little makeup on. I am not a fan of the Jergens Daily Glow for face product. I do like the Jergens Daily glow for body though. I frequently break out from the face lotion, though. I’ve heard this complaint from many women as well. I absolutely love Lancome self-tanning products for the face. The color is believable and does not streak. So for summer, consider doing a longer wearing face-décolleté tan with a self tanner.

Whether you choose bronzer, liquid bronzer or a self tan, the best bet is to try a few products. Go to a beauty retailer like Macy’s, Sephora and Ulta and choose the product right for your skintone. Obviously make sure to use test applicators, and use your discretion to keep things hygienic. But every skintone is different so doing the legwork is a smart option.

Sunburn and Psoriasis

Probably almost every human being has at least once in their life experienced a sun burn.

What starts as a pleasant lying on the beach, working in the garden or staying out in the soothing warm rays of the sun can in a few hours turn into an unpleasant and painful burn of the skin.

The first sensation of sunburn can start anywhere from 30 minutes after the exposure to the UVA and / or UVB rays and up to 6 hours after. The most unpleasant sensations are usually noted in 12 to 24 hours after the exposure.

So what is sunburn? Sunburn is a skin damage that happens due to that at some point our skin cells – melanocytes – ceased to produce enough of the melanin pigment needed to protect the skin from the UVA and / or UVB rays. Just like any skin burn, sunburn manifests as an irritation of the skin and a skin damage of various degrees. It may be a very painful reddening of the skin or extremely painful water blisters on the skin.

Other common symptoms of severe sunburn may include dehydration, chills, fever, and nausea.

Sun in moderation is very beneficial for the skin of a human. Sun helps to form Vitamin D in the body. Vitamin D participates in the growth and the regeneration of the cells. Scientists have proven that prolonged deficiency of the Vitamin D can actually cause the development of a skin cancer.

Sun in moderation is a great way for people with psoriasis to temporarily get rid of their psoriatic lesions, due to that the sun rays suppresses the inflammatory activity of the T-cells in people with psoriasis.

We know that prolonged deficiency of the sun can cause skin cancer, but what about an excess exposure to the sun resulting in sunburn? The thing is that excess sun causes negative changes to the DNA (carrier of the molecular information), and these changes can also cause a skin cancer.

There are 3 types of ultraviolet radiation: UVA, UVB and UVC. The UVC radiation of the sun is mostly stopped by the ozone layer of the atmosphere and therefore does not reach us. UVC radiation is also practically not used in the tanning beds, either regular nor special tanning beds for psoriasis.

UVB rays, similar to the UVB rays of the sun are often used in a special tanning unit for treating psoriasis. With the lack of a natural sun people with psoriasis often use such UVB units.

UVA rays, similar to those in the sun are often used in the regular tanning units. People without psoriasis in the winter months may indulge in visiting such solarium.

In each of these cases – tanning in the sun, tanning on a regular tanning bed or tanning on a special tanning bed for psoriasis – there is a risk of developing sunburn.

Sunburn is even more negative for people with psoriasis due to the so-called Koebner effect – the appearance of the new psoriatic lesions on the spots of the skin trauma.

What to do? Just like with anything, sun tanning has to be done in moderation. Moderate beneficial UV exposure should not turn into a negative excess exposure.

Wise thing to do is to suntan carefully and for a short period of time, especially in the beginning. Depending on your skin type and color you may be able to suntan for longer or shorter amounts of time.

Depression Treatments That Are Natural

When you are suffering from depression, the last thing you really want to do is go out searching for ways to cure yourself. One of the hallmarks of depression is that you do not have initiative and you do not even have a need to try to make yourself better, and that is why finding depression treatments that are natural is so important. If there is something that you can do in your own home or at least without a lot of expense that will improve your mental health, then it is definitely worth pursuing.

Can Depression Be Treated Naturally?

Because of all of the prescription medications that are on the market, a lot of people think that depression treatments that are natural are somehow inferior, but nothing could be further from the truth. Natural treatments are almost always the best treatments for any illness or health problem because they are less likely to cause side effects or disturb the inner workings of the body.

What About Prescription Medications?

There is no doubt that the many prescription medications that are available have been illegally successful and have worked for many people. But one thing that the drugs companies do not tell you is that many people have to go through several different drugs before finding one that they can tolerate. Some people are only able to stay on a drug for a few months before finally giving up trying to deal with the many side effects.

Another thing to keep in mind if you are thinking of taking prescription medications for your depression is that they do not solve the long-term issues of depression. They usually only treat you in the short term which means that when you stop taking the drugs, your symptoms may return.

Which Depression Treatments That Are Natural Work Best?

There are dozens of different ways that you can treat your depression in a natural way, but the most obvious of them is that you need to change your diet. Most of us eat far too many fatty foods, foods that are highly processed or low in nutrition and foods that contain chemicals. Even the lotions, soaps, and toothpaste we use are all loaded with items that should be nowhere near body. Therefore, take the time to try to take the toxins out of your life and you will start to see a major difference in how you feel.

There are also additions to your current lifestyle that are easy to do, do not take up much time or money, and will result in immediate results. If you have never taken an hour out of your day to take a yoga class (even if you do it in front of the television), then now is the time. You should also look into such alternative treatments such as aromatherapy, acupuncture, and relaxation. Whether you use these individually or combine them with good eating and a little exercise, you will find that depression treatments that are natural are safer and more effective in the long term than pharmaceutical ones.

How to Overcome Dental Phobia – Fear of the Dentist Cured Easily

Most people have experienced a mild form of "dental phobia" at some point in their lives. Or, to be more accurate, most people have been, at some point in their lives, afraid of going to the dentist, without developing full-blown phobias. Even a simple tooth cleansing can cause a great deal of anxiety and fear, especially among young or first-time patients. The teeth are an intimate, vulnerable part of one's body: they're lodged in the face, and they feel like bone. Teeth are different from skin. They protrude outside, yet they're part of one's body's core. Plus, the effects of dentistry have not always been as safe or painless as they are today. Expressions such as "it is like pulling teeth" testify to the horrors of dental operations before effective anesthetics.

Fear Turns To Phobia

As modern dental techniques rarely cause serious difficulty or pain, many people have learned to overcome that initial fear. In others, that natural fear of dentists has developed into a full-blown phobia. Several factors can cause the transition.

First, although anesthetics and modern medical equipment have made tooth work significantly faster and less painful than in the past, some operations do involve some amount of discomfort and pain. If you're a child going to the dentist for the first time, and already expect a painful experience, any discomfort that you do experience will corroborate your expectations. A child who's had a negative first experience at the dentist will obsess over the perceived pain he or she has suffered at the dentist's hands. This pre-existing dread will make consequential visits even more unpleasant for the growing child, until – potentially – a full-scale phobia developments.

Loss Of Control

Second, the experience of sitting in the dentist's chair can be unsuitable from a psychological, rather than physical, standpoint. Even a simple procedure such as getting one's teeth cleaned requires the patient to lie, helpless, immobile, and almost horizontal, on a giant, reclining chair. The angle at which the patient lies in the chair – and, indeed, every aspect of the dental experience – is in the control of an all-powerful masked and gloved figure who towers above the prone patient. This temporary lack of control is enough to make even the most stalwart patients uneasy. For some people, it is the stuff of nightmares.

Stop Dental Phobia Now

Sigmund Freud, who has contributed greatly to our understanding of phobias, believed that the first step to helping those who suffer from crippling fears is to understand the cause those fears. Unfortunately, this "first step" takes years of conventional psychotherapy. What if you can not wait that long? Fortunately, 20th and 21st century NLP and hypnotherapy techniques can often yield significantly faster results.

How NLP And Hypnotherapy Help

NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) and hypnotherapy techniques can be used to eradicate phobias irrespective of their underlying cause. If someone has a pervasive, irrational fear of the dentist, chances are his or her past experiences have ended up "programming" that person on an unconscious, neuro-linguistic level.

NLP and hypnotherapy work quickly because they do not ask the patient to root out the specific experiences that now result in a fear response whenever anyone, for example, broaches the subject of dental work. Instead, these techniques ask the dental phobia sufferers to "re-experience" their fear of dentists in a controlled environment – and then work to teach them new responses, other than fear.

Sleepsex and the Sexsomniac

Sexsomnia or Sleep sex is also known as "somnambulistic sexual behavior" (conversationally named as banditing). It is in recent times described as a class of parasomnia. Sexsomniacs or those who end up an uncommon sleep trouble engross themselves in intersexual enactments while they are fast sleep. This also happens when they're unconconscious. Sufferers who are somnambulating and engrossing in sexual activities are actually incognizant of doing anything.

Sexsomnia was not even accepted by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine until the year 2005. The condition is an exceptionally uncommon condition, the term "sexsomnia" is not well known. This disease has a few distinguishing characteristics that differentiate it from sleepwalking. It is a habitual condition and hence discussion is necessary. The condition is induced by either the body's reaction to endocrines or the body's reaction to some unconscious mental issues.

Sleep sex or sexsomnia is a condition of non rapid eye movement sleep (NREM) parasomnia (analogous to sleepwalking) that drives individuals to absorb in intimate acts while they are fast sleep. Sleep sex can be an awkward matter, and most are not eager to share their circumstances with other people, but fortunately sexsomnia is treatable. Sleep loss and predominant stimulations from sleep will worsen or cause confusing arousals. Sleep walking is also in the class of "confused arousal" and force is not uncommon with sleep waking, particularly in men, that is why it is advised not trying to wake them. Sleep sex is not generally a trouble for people who demonstrate their sexual behaviors with their spouses but can be in issue if they demonstrate with others. Sexsomnia is not all of the time hard or extreme for those who go through it or for their mates.

Faux Finish on Beadboard – Designer Secrets for Less

Beadboard can give even a room in a brand new house a wonderfully antique look, and using faux techniques, you can also make your beadboard look as if it’s been in your room forever. Here are the basic steps to get the designer look for less money.

First, of course, you’ll need to come up with enough beadboard to fit your application. You can either find it in an architectural salvage shop or you can buy it new at most large home improvement centers. Either way will work, but you’ll probably find it easier to find a large quantity if you buy your beadboard new.

Once you’ve obtained your beadboard, the next step is to glue it to your wall, just as you’d do if you were putting up paneling. This technique works better than trying to nail your beadboard to the walls, because its thin strips won’t allow you the luxury of finding studs.

After the beadboard has been applied to the wall, you’re ready to being painting. Use two shades of the same color. In order to maintain the antique feel of your new beadboard, it’s preferable to use an eggshell finish, which will have a small amount sheen, slightly more than flat paint, but not as much as a satin or high gloss paint. Using an eggshell also will allow the beadboard to be cleaned more easily and makes it more resistant to stains and wear. Your second color should be two or three shades lighter than your first choice.

It’s a good idea to mix a little water into your dark shade to allow the paint to flow into the grooves smoothly. You’ll be painting only the grooves between the boards with this darker color. Use a sponge brush with a wedged tip for this first coat and then let the paint dry.

Next, dip a larger sponge brush–one wide enough to cover at least two grooves–into your second paint can, which should be undiluted. Then run your brush over the entire surface, keeping your brush flat so that the paint doesn’t run too much into the grooves. Allow that coat to dry, as well.

Finally, using a marine sponge, apply a coat of blue color wash consisting of a glaze tinted with color similar to your first coat. Apply it initially by just dabbing the glaze around in random patterns, and then work your sponge back and forth over the beadboard, rather than up and down, as with the first two coats. This will give your beadboard a nice striated effect, causing it to look older and more weathered than it really is, especially if you originally bought it brand new from your local home improvement center.

Take your time as you go and you should be quite pleased with the results. Applying a faux aging technique to your beadboard can change the appearance of a room dramatically and add a pleasant touch of whimsical Victorian charm–without breaking the budget in the process.

Feel Sexy During Pregnancy

Sometimes during pregnancy women feel as though they are not sexy because of the large bump they are carrying around. Feeling sexy is all about what you feel on the inside and making that possible is not hard. After all, every pregnant woman is beautiful in their own way.

Impressive Dressing
Weaving sweats around the house and sporting your husband's t-shirt which is five sizes too big is not going to make a pregnant woman feel sexy. Every woman can look amazing during pregnancy so get a few pieces of maternity clothes that will make you feel great. Instead of throwing on the baggy clothes every morning take a little bit of time and consider what you will be wearing for the day. Be proud of your new body. Dressing to impress will not only make you feel sexy but it will also help you be more productive and confident throughout the entire day.

Pamper Yourself
One of the best ways to feel sexy is to pamper yourself a little bit. Make an appointment to get a new sexy haircut or get your beautiful nails done. Why not indulge a little bit and enjoy a spa day for some real relaxation. Pampering yourself will increase the way you feel about yourself and feeling sexy during pregnancy is vital.

Get Moving
Sitting on the couch all day during pregnancy can lower the flow of oxygen which decreases energy and the way you feel. Dressing up and moving around whether it is going to the store or even if it is a short walk will make any pregnant woman feel sexier. Not only will it make you feel better about yourself but it can also increase your energy level.

Feel Good Mentally
Feeling good on the inside is ninety percent of feeling sexy during pregnancy. Get it out of your mind that you are not sexy and start admiring yourself. Once you are proud of your new and changing body it will spread outwards and others will notice big changes as well. Get your confidence out and start feeling good mentally.

Attitude is key to anything because if you act frumpy that is exactly how you will look. In order to look sexy during pregnancy you must feel and have the attitude that corresponds with that. Start each day with a purpose and put yourself in a positive mental state. You will soon notice that you are feeling sexier as your pregnancy progresses.

Effective and Natural Bruise Treatment

There are natural bruise treatments you can undertake to eliminate those nasty bruises. Everyone walking on earth has gotten a bruise at one time or another, if you haven’t you might want to check if your are human. When you feel like a bruise is coming on you can rub it, which works for me, gently rub it so you don’t make it worse. After you rub it apply ice to right away. Ice the bruise down for 10 minutes. The next day apply heat to it routinely which will help improve circulation.

Another method which isn’t as common as ice and heat is Vitamin K cream. This has been known to help treat and cure bruises fairly quickly. It repairs the blood vessels and prevents the blood from leaking into the tissue that forms into bruises. If you have kid who are always running around and climbing on things having this cream will be handy to you. I use to get bruises all the time and my mom never did anything for me, it was more “You shouldn’t have been doing that in the first place”, kind of attitude. So I just dealt with my bruises as best I could which was just apply ice to it.

There are commercial bruise removers but you don’t need those so save your money. The faster you treat the bruise the more likely it won’t appear as disgusting as it could be with treatment. Natural bruise treatments are so basic but still very effective.
