Ovarian Cysts – The Different Types of Cysts Found In your Ovaries

There are many different types of cysts and all of them can be gotten rid of or even prevented from occurring, naturally.  Each type of ovarian cysts is capable of causing much pain and discomfort, but fortunately most of them will go away (in a few months) all on their own.  You need to learn as much as you can about the different types of cysts so you will be able to help your body to get rid of them quickly and naturally, that way you will be able to avoid having surgery.

Follicular cysts are by far the most common type of ovarian cyst and generally occur in women while still in their child bearing years.  These can develop when ovulation doesn’t occur properly or when an egg doesn’t release properly and turns into a cyst.  If this cyst then ruptures there will be sharp, stabbing pain, but most often these will soon disappear on their own without rupturing, so there most likely there will be no pain involved.

Pathological cysts will be usually diagnosed by their larger size; they will usually be roughly twice as large as most any other cyst.  This particular cyst can cause you all kinds of problems such as bleeding, miscarriage, infertility, and other complications during pregnancy.  It’s a fairly common occurrence for women to be plagued with this type of cyst, especially during their child bearing years.

All of the different types of cysts will have their own distinctive symptoms and complications. It’s really very important to keep a watchful eye out for the symptoms that always accompany ovarian cysts.  The proper and rapid treatment is generally the key for finding quick relief and will help in getting rid of them once and for all.

Regardless of which type of cyst you may have, when it starts causing you pain you are going to want to find some relief from the pain. Almost all doctors will want to prescribe hormonal birth control pills or will want to perform some form of surgery so they can remove the cysts.  Unfortunately, this is really not a very good long term solution to your problem.  Realistically these forms of treatments will only remove the cysts that you have right this minute; they certainly will not do anything to prevent future cysts from developing and causing you more pain, or even painfully rupturing.

As you are probably aware of by now, you really need to know exactly what the different types of cysts are before you can even try to get relief from the pain they cause. Also it should be obvious to you by now that you need to know the symptoms of the different types of cysts found in the ovaries. I am not a Doctor nor do I profess to have a miracle cure for ovarian cysts but after extensive research and searching throughout the Internet I have found some very good and reliable sources of valuable information on both the various symptoms and types of cysts.

Why You Cannot Trust TSH 3 and 4 Test Results for Thyroid Health and Wellness

I advise all of my clients to specify a full thyroid panel of tests when they get a checkup. Those of us with autoimmune diseases and those with degenerative diseases such as cancer, obesity and other potentially serious diseases often have undetected thyroid issues. In addition to those with health issues, men and women who are 40 and older, whether they have diseases or not, should request full thyroid panel testing when getting a physical.

I have vitiligo — an autoimmune disease that is often seen as a symptom of a malfunctioning thyroid. Medical doctors were slow to recognize the correlation between thyroid health and vitiligo. I was one advocate in the 1990s who encouraged fellow vitiligo sufferers to take my research to their doctors and demand, if they had to, thyroid testing. Back then, most medical doctors thought of vitiligo as only a “cosmetic” disease. Unfortunately, many still do.

What I’ve found over the years is, many people like myself, have thyroid problems that go undetected when our doctors test for TSH 3 & 4, without more thorough testing. I’ve has symptoms of hypo-thyroidism most of my life, but not once has it ever shown up in TSH 3 & TSH4 tests. Ever.

I had a physical 2 weeks ago. I requested the full panel of thyroid tests. The doctor questioned why I wanted it, asking if I had problems in the past. Though my thyroid always tested within “normal” range, I have known I was hypo-thyroid pretty much all of my life based on my lifelong vitiligo and other symptoms such as low body temperature. So, I had to persuade this doctor to do what she should do for every patient — fully check my thyroid for dysfunction.

When my test results came in the mail this past Monday, my TSH 3 and TSH 4 showed a perfectly normal thyroid range; however, the tests that I had to persuade the doctor to do showed a different story. It showed that I was bordering hypothyroid/Hashimoto’s disease. These results are very typical of those of us with vitiligo and/or other autoimmune diseases. It is also typical of many sufferers of other diseases, and for many whose thyroid tests in normal range in the standard TSH 3 & TSH 4 tests.

Undetected thyroid problems are epidemic in the USA, and a large undetected part of the problems of obesity, diabetes and cancers, as many natural health professionals such as myself believe. In the USA, the average person gets little to no iodine in their diet, which is necessary to nourish the thyroid. Bread eaters are blocking absorption of the iodine that may occasionally get in their iodine-poor standard American diets. Supplementing iodine is mandatory for health, thanks to removal of iodine from, and the addition of bromine to bread products.

Since my 20’s when I uncovered my own hypo-thyroidism/Hashimoto’s tendency via symptoms and by performing the Basal Temperature Test, I’ve supplemented to improve and nourish my thyroid. My current regimen includes Iodoral iodine, plus raw thyroid glandular supplements to nourish my thyroid to function properly. My body usually signals me when my regimen needs tweaking. I encourage my clients to find a qualified endocrinologist in addition to learning how to monitor their own thyroids via the Basal Temperature test. Once clients learn the symptoms of thyroid problems and learn to listen to their bodies, they often can tell when something is off.

Since many doctors do not go beyond the TSH 3 & 4 thyroid tests, I encourage you to take a proactive role in your health care. Insist on full panel thyroid tests. If I had not insisted on the Thyroid Antibodies test, my bloodwork would’ve missed a very important fact — I have a thyroid problem! Since the thyroid controls every metabolic process in my body, my entire state of health — both physical and mental — were at stake.

As stated earlier, I’ve regulated my thyroid since my early 20s and I can sense when my thyroid is off. I knew I had to up my supplements based on how I felt and how my body was holding onto weight. I listen to my body and I know when I either need to lower or raise my supplements, which changes with age, stress levels, lifestyle changes, etc.

A simple basal temperature thermometer is helpful to gauge your own thyroid health, with the Basal Temperature Test. Shake the thermometer down at night, and check your armpit temperature as soon as you awaken, without stirring much, for 5 consecutive days. If your temperature is consistently low, consider further testing, because it signals thyroid issues, despite TSH 3 and 4 results. Find a qualified endocrinologist who is open to your concerns and proactive stance regarding your health when asking for full panel thyroid testing. It could save your health, and ultimately, your life.

Penis Chafing – Stop the Scratching With Shea Butter

Uncomfortable itching and chafing has caused many a man to do some creative stretching and wiggling in his jeans. He may perhaps try a subtle stretch in the crowded supermarket, or a few spontaneous lunges while walking the dog in the park, hoping his maneuvers will do the trick and readjust his package for a few minutes of relief – and that doesn’t even begin to address the itching that comes with it. Chafing is a common and often embarrassing problem that seems to rear its ugly head at the most inopportune times. While certain precautions can be taken to prevent chafing from occurring, it can happen despite one’s best efforts. When chafing does occur, daily penis TLC using a gentle moisturizer is the optimal solution to return the penis skin to its natural, healthy state.

What is Chafing?

Chafing is a condition in which the skin becomes red and irritated from uncomfortable skin-on-skin friction, or from the skin rubbing on fabric. While it is very common during exercise, it can also happen in regular day-to-day activity. Chafing can range from a mildly uncomfortable or stinging sensation, to a raw, painful, burning feeling. Excessive chafing that is not properly treated can leave the skin cracked and bleeding, and in severe situations, it can lead to infection.

What Are Some Causes of Chafing?

There are many causes for chafing of the nether regions:

  • Tight-fitting clothing
  • Excessive sweating
  • Vigorous exercise
  • Obesity
  • Skin rubbing together
  • Hyperhydrosis (localized sweating thought to be caused by stress)
  • Side effect of medication, toxins, or other substances

Can Chafing be prevented?

There are a few steps a man can take to eliminate some of the more common causes of chafing.

Stay Dry-Damp or wet skin chafes more easily, thus, excessive sweating may lead to irritated skin. Avoid wearing a wet swimsuit for long periods of time and change out of sweaty shorts after a good workout to keep the area dry. Men who are particularly prone to sweating may find relief from using talcum powder to keep the area dry.

Dress Right-Wearing proper clothing, especially when working out, may help to eliminate excessive rubbing of extra fabric on the area. Workout bottoms should not be so loose as to have abundant fabric, nor should it be too tight or restrictive. Cotton bottoms that are breathable may help to reduce excessive sweating which can lead to chafing.

Hydrate-Keeping skin moisturized, but not wet, is a step towards preventing chafing, as dry skin is more easily irritated. Being dehydrated leads to dry, cracked skin, which is one reason why it is so important to drink plenty of fluids. Using a moisturizer, especially one containing natural Shea butter or cocoa butter, will also keep the skin healthy and supple, which in turns prevents chafing.

Advantages of Using Shea Butter to Soothe Penis Chafing

If the physical reasons for penis chafing cannot be eliminated by a lifestyle change, such as a change in underwear or clothing, the only option may be to treat the chafed skin and try to protect it as much as possible. Shea butter has powerful moisturizing properties that soothe and heal dry, cracked skin. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, making it the perfect ingredient to use on red, irritated skin. Shea butter can be applied all over the body, including the penis, and is found in an assortment of body and hair care products. Shea butter can also be found in a high-quality penis vitamin creme that is specially formulated for the care of a man’s most sensitive skin (most professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil). A penis cream enriched with Shea butter and other vitamins and minerals may help restore dry skin and soothe irritations of the skin caused by uncomfortable chafing.

Treat Thrush, Candida and Yeast Infections – The Facts Everyone Should Know

Candida albicans is one of many organisms that live in the human mouth and gastrointestinal tract.

Under normal circumstances, it is present in 80% of the human population with no harmful effects. However in some people, it can proliferate and this overgrowth results in the production of nearly 100 toxic substances which, if left untreated, can poison your body.

The two biggest toxins – canditoxin and ethanol – can negatively affect brain functions and your nervous system, as well as interfering with the body’s biochemical processes.

These two substances are known to be the cause of many of the symptoms associated with candida/candidiasis, including vaginal thrush, eczema, blotchy skin, dryness, itching, oral thrush, sinus problems, constipation, diarrhoea, restless sleep, bloating, lack of energy, mood swings, cravings for sweet food, food allergies and many more.

The yeast lives in two forms: Roots and Spores.

The human body has no ability to attack and kill the spores and there are no drugs that you can take which can do it either. Yeast spores remain dormant for years and then can suddenly flare up and cause thrush, candidiasis or other yeast-related infections.

It is commonly assumed that thrush, candida and yeast infections are minor ailments peculiar only to women. This was actively underlined by the fact that to classify the subject heading for this article proved very difficult.

The reality is that candida and yeast infections will affect 75% of all people at some point, including children. In babies, it can take the form of oral thrush (a white coating on the inside of the mouth), as well as nappy rash.

Men can also get genital yeast infections, and having no symptoms, they are unaware, passing it on to their sexual partner. This sets up a cycle where the infection passes back and forth between them, no matter how many times the female tries to ‘cure’ the problem.

Candida and yeast infections can manifest themselves as skin rashes, particularly in skin folds, such as under the breasts.

Painful urination (cystitis) can also be a symptom and repeatedly taking drugs to ease this or any of the physical results of thrush, candida or yeast infections does only that. These drugs stop the painful pee and itchy discomfort but do not address the underlying cause. In the long term, medication only serves to make the recurring symptoms worse, often rendering the organism drug resistant.

There are various non-drug-related methods purporting to treat thrush, candida and yeast infections: herbal remedies, Threelac, tinctures, Cellfood Oxygen, tonics, detox diets, vitamin therapy, Antibiotics, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, macrobiotics, reflexology, Chinese Medicine, vegetarianism, the Wai diet, magnetic therapy, the mucus-less diet, the blood type diet.

There is also a very strict anti-Candida diet, which involves eliminating the ingestion of all yeasts, moulds, sugars and refined, processed produce.

However, sufferers report that these methods alone either have no effect at all or work only in the short term and result in a worsening of the symptoms once a normal lifestyle is resumed.

Even the natural remedies can have unpleasant side effects: The popular natural cure of Olive Leaf can kill yeast infections but it can also be toxic to the liver, thus causing its own problems.

Certainly to treat thrush, candida and yeast infections, you need to research the subject exhaustively, taking into account any possible side effects and then assess the results on your own personal condition.

It can be a very imprecise science.

Hypnosis Techniques – The 7 Common Causes of Psychosomatic Problems

The medical establishment is recognising more and more that stress and other psychological factors play a significant role in the creation of chronic or persistent illnesses and conditions. High blood pressure, psoriasis, recurrent colds and flu, migraines, irritable bowel, impotence and slow wound healing are just some of the types of ailments that can be said to be at least partly caused or aggravated by psychological processes.

Hypnotherapists are often challenged to find a way of helping clients with these problems, and one of the best tools they can use is a technique called the 7 Common Causes (or Keys) of Psychosomatic Disorders.

This technique is credited to psychologist and hypnotherapist Leslie LeCron, who identified seven key issues that give rise to illness and chronic conditions.

To use the 7 keys, you induce hypnosis in the client and then set up ideomotor signalling. Ideomotor signalling is the use of finger movements to indicate yes, no and “can’t say yet” answers. Once the signals have been set up, you proceed to go through the keys one by one, explaining what each one means and then asking whether the client’s inner mind senses this issue is affecting them. If the client answers yes to any of the questions, you probe deeper to find when the issue began.

The 7 keys

Here are the 7 keys to unlocking any psychosomatic condition:

1. Conflict

A conflict occurs when someone feels they should do something but they really want to do the opposite. They are pulled in two directions, and this creates discomfort and loss of energy.

2. Organ language

Symptoms can be caused by organ language – phrases in our everyday conversation that use a body part or organ in a negative way. For example, we say things like, My mother-in-law is a pain in the neck.

3. Motivation

Something else that can cause symptoms is what we call motivation. We are motivated to have a symptom in order to solve a problem. For example, children getting sick to avoid school.

4. Past experience

One of the causes of symptoms is a very emotional episode that occurred in the past that is still affecting a person. It leaves an imprint in the mind and body.

5. Identification

Identification occurs when we have a strong emotional attachment to another person who had or has the same symptom.

6. Self-punishment

Sometimes a discomforting symptom can seem necessary to compensate for a feeling of guilt. We feel we need to punish ourselves for something that happened.

7. Suggestion

A suggestion is an idea that has been accepted at a subconscious level; it is imprinted into our deepest memory. A suggestion is often introduced at a highly emotional time, and can be given by an authority figure or by the client themselves.

The 7 Keys technique is one of the most powerful tools a hypnotherapist can use to unlock a client’s symptoms. The technique is described in detail in the book Ideomotor Signals for Rapid Hypnoanalysis by Dabney M. Ewin and Bruce N. Eimer.

6 Ways to Get Rid of Under Eye Bags

Are you sick and tired of under eye bags?

Trust me, you are not the only one who wants to get rid of them. You can easily spot people, both women and men, with under eye bags.

Here are some simple and easy ways to get rid of puffy eyes:

1. Try to Treat Your Allergies

Skin under your eyes is lighter than from rest of your body. This is why fluid tends to collect there when there is any kind of allergy. This can make your eyes puffy.

Get some anti allergic medication from your doctor or the local pharmacy to help you get rid of any allergy. This can help you reduce under eye bags significantly.

2. Get Rid of Make Up at Night

It is a big blunder to sleep without removing makeup at night. This can irritate your eyes and lead to allergic reactions resulting in puffy eyes. Thus, make it a point to remove all your make up before you go to bed.

3. Try Some Cucumbers

Cucumbers are a great remedy to reduce puffiness under the eyes. I am sure you must have seen this in many health and beauty magazines. Take 2 slices of freshly refrigerated cucumbers and place them on eyes. Just lie down for about an half an hour with these slices on your eyes. This simple remedy can help reduce puffiness under the eyes quite significantly.

4. Try Some Green Tea Bags

Green is not just great for your skin but can also help reduce puffiness from under the eyes. Just take 2 bags of green tea and soak them in chilled water. Put them on your eyes for about 20 minutes.

This simple trick can help you get rid of puffy eyes very quickly.

5. Drink Plenty of Water

Though water retention is the main cause of puffy eyes, drinking plenty of water turns out to be highly effective in reducing under eye bags. Make sure that you consume at least 7-8 full glasses of water through the day.

6. Exercise

A small vibrator can help tighten the skin beneath your eyes and also increase blood circulation. This can help reduce under eye bags without using any kind of creams or a surgical procedure.

Such a product can strengthen muscles under your eyes and tighten skin to help you get rid of under eye bags quickly, effectively and at a fraction of the cost as compared to other creams and surgery.

Hepatitis B Transmission, Symptoms, Treatment and Prevention

Hepatitis B (HBV) is a viral disease that can cause inflammation of the liver, cirrhosis and cancer in worst case.

Hepatitis B is also considered as one of the sexually transmitted disease (STD) because it can spread by sexual contact.

Since Hepatitis B virus can cause serious damage to the liver. It is very important that you must know how liver work first and what would happen if the liver stop working.

Liver is a major organ inside the human body that performs over 500 essential tasks such as bile and urea production, metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, fats and filtered bacteria from the blood etc. Any person can die in less than 24 hours if the liver stop working. Drugs and alcohol should be avoid because it can cause directly damage the liver.

From the static shown an estimate of about 1 miilion American peoples are infected with Hepatitis B and around 700,000 are in serious condition yearly.

For those peoples who often travel to different countries have a higher risk of infection which depend mainly on the destination country and individual immune status.

Hepatitis B can be accurately diagnosed by blood test.

For those peoples who never develop any signs or illness symptoms at all but still have the Hepatitis B virus inside their body is called HBV carriers.

Hepatitis B Transmission

HBV can be transmitted by contamination of blood, semen, body fluids and sexual activities. Newly born child have a chance of infected with the virus if the mother already infected with HBV.

Hepatitis B is not much contagious when compare with hepatitis A which can spreads to other peoples much more easily.

Hepatitis B Symptoms

Common symptoms of Hepatitis B are fever, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, joint pains and yellowish discoloration of the eye and skin (jaundice).

In worst case doctor have to perform liver transplant in order to save the patient life from liver failure.

A person who have strong immune can fully recover from hepatitis B eventhough the illness can last for month but after fully recovery individual will develop immune which can prevent themself from future infection of hepatitis B.

For peoples with weak immune can develop chronic infection with HBV for the rest of their life.

Hepatitis B Treatment

Normally viral diseases are not treated with specific medications such as antibiotics.

There are special medications developed for chronic HBV patients.

Hepatitis B prevention

HBV can be prevent by getting vaccinated before being infected with HBV. It is commonly recommended that every child must be injected with this vaccine to prevent the risk of being infect with HBV in the future.

Avoid unsafe sexual activities as possible including using the same objects with infected person.

The Dangers of Drinking Coffee

If you drink coffee because you think you need to in order to rev or pep you up daily, especially if you work in corporate America, here are some things to think about pertaining to this liquid drug that is the number one cause of cancer of the esophagus:

The first thing you should think about is – why would you drink something that is so hot that if you stuck your finger in it, it would burn the hell out of you? If it burns your finger, what do you think it does to your tissues and cells throughout your body? Hot beverages destroy (kill) your cells, i.e. cancer!

Coffee is a stimulant to the central nervous system. Drinking coffee inhibits the release of natural brain opiates (that make you feel good and counteracts pain). Women need all the natural brain opiates their bodies can muster up, especially around the menstrual period and not to mention childbirth (which is very painful due to the inordinate decrease of opiates in the modern American woman). Coffee may rev you up for a while, but is sure to bring down as well (making you crave more of it, after all, it is a drug, at least in the state that we use it today). Excessive consumption of coffee causes shaking and trembling of the hands due to nervousness. Coffee greatly impairs the nervous system.

Coffee also kills the adrenal glands. Nearly everyone in America has shot-out adrenal glands!

Coffee revs up these glands, but also brings them down. Anything that goes up and then down taxes the body.

Coffee contains the stimulant caffeine. This is dead caffeine, unlike bio-active caffeine found in green tea, black tea, yerba mat, guarana, and kola nut. Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant that is followed by a depressed phase resulting in exhaustion, nervousness, irritability, fatigue, and often headache. Caffeine constricts blood vessels of the brain and causes decreased flow of blood which cuts the oxygen supply to the brain, resulting in gradual brain damage. It also increases your heartbeat 15% and makes your lungs work 13 times harder than normal. It greatly plays a role in fatigue as well.

The volatile oil in caffeine called caffeol is an irritant to the lining of the stomach and causes poor digestion.

Another chemical in this liquid drug is caffeo-tannic acid. This chemical is used in tanning leather. It is an irritating astringent to the cells lining the stomach and intestines and also destroys the pepsin in the gastric (stomach) juice needed to digest protein.

Coffee is a drug! Do you know why coffee is freely given in corporate America? Because it makes people work and perform efficiently by speeding up the brain so that jobs can get the best productivity out of their workers (slaves). People mainly drink coffee in the morning, at least 3 cups (over 400+ mg of caffeine) by noon. But by noon, they are mentally shot and drained, which explains why job productivity decreases around noontime in America. The workers will then get their caffeine kick or hit from drinking soda pop (coke, pepsi, etc.) and/or eating chocolate, which is also why you see these vending machines that sell sodas and chocolates in corporate America.

If you want to get something out of people, just give them some caffeine. Coffee, chocolate, cigarettes, and soda all have caffeine. When investigators or police want to obtain information from people, what do they offer people? A cup of coffee and a cigarette!

In wars, what do American soldiers give the children of the countries they are fighting in and against (especially when they want information)? Chocolate bars!

Most restaurants and diners offer you a cup of coffee for starters. Why? Because coffee clears the palate (taste buds) and sense of olfaction (smell), as well as make your stomach crave food so that you will become hungry, be able to smell the food, and taste the substance of the food once you begin to eat the food. Why do you think they have you smell coffee beans in a jar at aromatherapy shops? To clear your olfaction (sense of smell) so you can smell the various oils.

Did you know that early Arab Muslims used to give the potential or prospective Muslim convert and warrior free coffee at lectures, to get them to join Islam and fight in so-called holy wars (jihad) for the cause of Islam?

The Arabs had the market on coffee sealed. When Europeans first got their hands and taste buds on coffee, they went crazy. Europeans wanted to start a market for coffee in Europe but the Arabs were not having that! Certain European merchants began to start secretly exporting coffee out of Africa and Arabia (where coffee originated), and importing it into Europe. The Europeans did not want the Arabs to know what they were doing with their drug (coffee), so once the Europeans got the coffee into their country, they began to refer to it by code names, such as Java, Mocha, and cappucino, which are all names of countries where European merchants were exporting coffee from. Java is an island in Indonesia. Mocha is a city in Yemen, Arabia. Cappucino derives its name from the Italian city Capuchin (all Arab Muslim strongholds). The word coffee itself derives its name from kaf, the Ethiopian name for coffee.

A great alternative to drinking coffee is Teeccino herbal coffee, made of roasted carob, barley, chicory root, figs, dates, orange peel and almonds. It is very delicious and tastes just like coffee if not better. You can find it (and other tastes) at most health food stores such as Whole Food Market (1-800-SHOP-WFM).

Herbal teas such as guarana, kola nut, and yerba mate are also excellent alternatives to coffee and includes bio-active caffeine which is not deleterious to the body.

The herbs borage, basil, licorice, ginseng, astragalus, and fo ti are great for restoring the adrenal glands.

Thank you for reading!

Liver Cancer – Causes, Symptoms and Treatment

The liver is the largest internal organ in the body. It is also known as primary liver cancer or hepatoma and hepatocellular carcinoma is a cancer arising from the liver. The liver performs several vital functions. It processes and stores many of the nutrients absorbed from the intestine. It also makes some of the clotting factors needed to stop bleeding from a cut or injury. Hemangioma (he-man-ge-O-muh) is the most common type of benign liver tumor. It starts in blood vessels and Hepatic adenomas are benign tumors that start from the main type of liver cells (hepatocytes). Women have a much higher chance of having one of these tumors if they take birth control pills, although this is rare. Stopping the pills can cause the tumor to shrink. Hepatic adenomascancer begins in many spots throughout the liver and is not confined to a single tumor. This is most often seen in people with liver cirrhosis and is the most common pattern seen in the United States.

Hepatic tumors also called Liver cancer. Hepatic tumors is are tumors or growths on or in the liver. There are many forms of liver tumors premary is Malignant. Malignant, primary liver cancer is hepatocellular carcinoma (also named hepatoma, which is a misnomer). These growths can be benign or malignant (cancerous). They may be discovered on medical imaging (even for a different reason than the cancer itself). Most of the time when cancer is found in the liver, it did not start there but spread to the liver from a cancer that began somewhere else in the body. These tumors are named after the place where they began (primary site) and are further described as metastatic. Symptoms can include a lump or pain on the right side of your abdomen and yellowing of the skin. However, you may not have symptoms and the cancer may not be found until it is advanced.

Some researchers believe that cancer starts with damage to DNA the material that contains the instructions for every chemical process in your body, including the rate of cellular growth. DNA damage causes changes in these instructions. Liver cancer also occurs as metastatic cancer, which happens when tumors from other parts of the body spread (metastasize) to the liver. In the liver cancer some cells begin to grow abnormally. One result is that cells may begin to grow out of control and eventually form a tumor a mass of malignant cells. In the United States, most cancer found in the liver spread there after originating elsewhere. Rather than being called liver cancer, this type of cancer in the liver is named after the organ in which it began such as metastatic colon cancer in cancer that starts in the colon and spreads to the liver.

Causes of liver Cancer

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is the main causes of liver cancer. Liver cancer relates to (correlates with) the frequency of chronic hepatitis B virus infection. Studies in animals also have provided that hepatitis B virus can cause liver cancer. For example, liver cancer develops in other mammals that are naturally infected with hepatitis B virus-related viruses. Finally, by infecting transgenic mice with certain parts of the hepatitis B virus, scientists caused liver cancer to develop in mice that do not usually develop liver cancer.

Symptoms of liver cancer
Liver cancer is very common larges countries in world wide. Generally is discovered at a very advanced stage of cancer disease for several reasons. In addition, patients from these regions actually have more aggressive liver cancer disease. live cancer tumor usually reaches an advanced stage and causes symptoms more rapidly. Abdominal pain is the most common symptom of liver cancer and usually signifies a very large tumor or widespread involvement of the liver and other symptom is weight loss. These symptoms are less common in individuals with liver cancer in the U.S.an additionally symptoms is ascites (abdominal fluid and swelling), jaundice (yellow color of the skin), or muscle wasting.

Treatment of liver cancer

The treatment of liver cancer is overall condition of the patient. First treatment if liver cancer is Chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is a powerful drugs to kill cancer cells. Chemotherapy is anot effective not some cases of liver cancer but type of chemotherapy is known as chemoembolization is an important part of treatment for HCC. chemoembolization causes many of the same side effects as other forms of chemotherapy, including abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. Second treatment is surgery. Surgery is best treatment for localized resectable cancer is usually an operation known as surgical resection. In some cases, the area of the liver where the cancer is found can be completely removed. Alcohol injection has been shown to improve survival in people with small hepatocellular tumors. It may also be used to help reduce symptoms in cases of metastatic liver cancer. The most common side effect is leaking of alcohol onto the liver or into the abdominal cavity.

I Was Freed From Suicidal Thoughts With EFT

On January 7th, 2011, I decided to commit suicide. It was a crisp, sunny, Friday afternoon and I was walking on an overpass with a busy freeway underneath. There was a concrete barrier beside me, and a chain link fence on top of it.

I thought to myself, “I can easily climb over the fence and jump to my death on the freeway below.” That thought would have normally shocked me, but after the last few months it didn’t seem like a bad plan.

I had just hung up the phone with my ex-girlfriend of seven years. She informed me that she was with someone new. She had ended our relationship only months before and moved out-of-state. Her two adult children were still living in my house, and I kept in contact with her hoping that we’d get back together.

So it was official. My ex-girlfriend had found someone new. She was out my life, and without her I didn’t know whether life was worth living.

I didn’t have any friends I could reach out to, or call as my best friend had died some months before, and my life had revolved around my ex-girlfriend. Out of decency, fear, or both, she called my ex-wife (and the police) because she knew I was in trouble and needed to talk to someone quick, though she had no idea of my location.

Luckily when I was on the overpass, my ex-wife called me I answered. Through burning tears, and a cracked voice, I wailed into the phone shouting to her how I wanted the pain in my heart to stop! I was truly a wretched soul – totally, emotionally destroyed from the pain of it all.

The breakup with my ex-wife was many years before, through the years we forgave each other and became friends, so as odd as it may seem – my ex-wife was the best person to understand my pain.

The relationship with my ex-girlfriend was more complicated. You see I found out, sometime before all this, that my girlfriend had been having a sexual relationship with another man that she had met a year before going out with me. Her relationship with this man lasted for almost the entire seven years we had been together – and her two adult children living in my house knew all about it, but kept their mother’s secret.

So, the whole relationship was filled with betrayal, and deceit. Even after I had learned all this, I forgave her and hoped that one day we might get back together. You may think that is crazy, but it’s how I felt at that moment.

I had found out that the man, whom she had the affair with, was out of her life and I had hoped that if I put my whole heart and soul in the relationship that she would completely commit herself to me. We would live happily ever after. The whole bit. I was really in fantasy thought.

The night before, when I was on the overpass, she sent me an email that made it brutally clear that she never intended to get back with me. She lacked the decency to tell me on the phone or to my face. To make it even more confusing for me, she asked for me to help her with closing costs for a house she was buying as if I were her partner. I lent her the money with high hopes for the future. I loved her and wanted to do whatever I could to make her happy.

What she neglected to tell me was that she was involved in another relationship with a new man and the house was for them to live in. That was the news I had received just before going on the overpass.

I felt as though I were being manipulated like a puppet. I loved her and her two kids, but they gave me no respect. They all said they loved me, but really they were just using me. I was devastated as I made this realization.

The good news is that I obviously didn’t jump, or else I wouldn’t be writing this article, but it came very close. I believe that if I were under the influence of alcohol, or some other mood altering substance at the time, I would have jumped.

My ex-wife successfully talked me out of jumping for our daughter’s sake. She made me realize the pain I would cause my daughter by committing suicide – not to mention that I would be a terrible role model by setting a horrible example for her to follow. She was (and is) in recovery from drug addiction and has dealt with depression issues as well. I felt ill at the thought of her mirroring my actions.

As distorted as my thinking was, My ex-wife’s reasoning somehow got through to me and I knew I didn’t want to commit suicide for our daughter sake, if not my own. Her phone call saved my life. In a strange way, I am grateful to my ex-girlfriend calling my ex-wife, too, because I never would have gotten that call; otherwise, and I wouldn’t be here writing this now.

Looking back in time, before this scene on the overpass, I could see that a storm within me had been brewing. I had been plagued for months with suicidal thoughts that began to accompany my lifelong battle with depression.

I was on prescribed medication for depression. I was seeing a therapist, as well. Had I not been, I am certain that even my ex-wife would not have been able to convince me to not jump to my death. But, thank God I had that help, because now I see that this awful situation was sure as hell unworthy of me senselessly sacrificing my life. My girlfriend’s betrayal, and her children’s concealment just wasn’t worth it; and my daughter’s life now mattered more to me than my own life.

Strange how screwed up my thinking was. Here, I was in a crisis ready to throw my own life away, but I guess I still cared about something greater than myself, my daughter.

My own biological father had abandoned me along with my mother and younger brother. My committing suicide would have been the ultimate abandonment of my daughter – something I swore I would never do when I had a child. I would not carry on the family tradition and abandon my own flesh and blood.

Once I hung up with my ex-wife, I no longer had the desire to jump. But, I still felt like dying, and I found myself alone and emotionally destroyed. I hurt, and I wanted it to stop. You know the expression about how “it felt as though I’d been stabbed in the heart”? That’s how I felt.

So, how did I cope with this hurt?

Well, some months before this incident, I had attended a seminar where I was introduced to an energetic therapy to help release negative thought patterns. It is called the Emotional Freedom Technique, otherwise known as EFT or tapping.

Gary Craig invented EFT in the early 1990’s. He was a student of Dr. Roger Callahan – the father of TFT, or Thought Field Therapy that he discovered in the late 1980’s.

Carol Look, a well-known expert, and practitioner of EFT, describes EFT as a form of psychological acupressure. The way EFT works is first, you find your target – the subject of the problem your having (for me it was suicide) and imagine a scale of zero to ten with zero being the least degree of pain, or emotional discomfort of whatever you are feeling about the problem, and ten being the highest degree. You identify where you are on that scale of pain, or suffering, then you start the process.

The process is a series of tapping your fingers on certain places known as Meridian points of your body. As you tap, you say out loud what is known as set up statement, followed by a tapping progression called the negative reminder phrase, ending the process by a tapping round using the positive statement, or phrase.

At first, this whole tapping thing really sounded ridiculous to me, but I did it anyway and saw how it helped. It was the solution to my problem. I kept at it and although I didn’t feel like living, or even doing the tapping rounds, it helped me get through the feelings of suicide. I figured I’d try the fake it until you make it approach, and it worked!

Little by little, something inside me started to change. I began to feel better. My suicidal thoughts became less and less frequent. It took a while, but this tapping stuff really worked.

I have struggled with depression all my life and while I’m not completely rid of it, my suicidal thoughts are gone! I can actually envision a future for me. Every day I live I give thanks for what I have, and I can see what a terrible mistake it would have been for me to end my life.

Not every day is perfect. I still take depression medication and see a therapist – although less often – now I can better cope with my depression thanks to EFT. I now can enjoy life and look to the future.

I do not advocate replacing professional help with EFT. But, EFT is yet another tool I have to use in my arsenal of defense against feeling low, depressed, and hopeless.

The reason I am writing this article is to help anyone who is in a similar situation. I want everyone to know that no matter how bad things seem, even to the point that you are hurting so badly that you are thinking of hurting yourself (or killing yourself) that there is hope.

Suicide is not a solution. It’s the worst thing you could do, not just for you, but for anyone you leave behind who will have to live with your suicide for the rest of their lives.

Do you really want that? Of course, you don’t.

I believe that EFT helped me, and that it can possibly help you. If you are feeling depressed, and/or suicidal give it a try. There is a ton of free literature out there on the subject of EFT (a free guide is downloadable on my website). You can also go to YouTube; type “EFT” in the search box, and a bunch of videos will appear showing you how to do it.

You are important and worthy of living though you may not believe it, or feel it. Give EFT a try. It’s free, and it’s easy to do. You are positively worth it! The phrase fake it until you make it was never truer than it was for me using EFT. And I did make it! So can you!

8 Tips to Become Fearless Instead of Spineless

Quick dos and don’ts to go from spineless to fearless…

Each one of us fear something, a phobia as they call it… its getting into our nerves every time we are expose to each fear that we have, but we must now how to manage it and how are we going to react to a certain exposure when we are about to face it.

Simple ways you can do to manage it.

1. Don’t avoid your fear. Doing so will only train you to be more scared of it.

2. Don’t let your imagination run wild. Picture this, while trying to get some sleep, a little voice suddenly tells you: what would you do if you saw a ghost in your room? You begin to get Goosebumps by merely thinking about it. Suddenly, you vaguely hear the sound of footsteps. Soon after, there is a knock on your door… three soft knocks to be exact. Your brains tell you a ghost has come to visit you. As the door slowly cracks open, you scream at the top of your lungs and cry for help. The ghost at the door turns out to be your mom who just wanted to kiss you goodnight. But the experience was all traumatizing for you; you refuse to sleep alone in your room forever!

3. Do prepare for worst case scenarios and come up with contingency plans. Take for example you may keep a lamp by your bedside so you can turn it on every time you hear something strange. This way you’ll feel more in control by not allowing your fears to rule your life.

4. Do learn more about your fears. Research the more you know your fear about the enemy, the more confident you’ll feel about facing it.

5. Do repeat to yourself:” I am fearless, strong ands in control, I am not afraid of (fill in your fear)” say it over a hundred times and you’ll eventually believe it.

6. Do keep a journal every imaginable fear you have…. And how you conquered them and plan to do so. Whenever you’re feeling scared, just read through the journal and get the boost you need to knock-out your worries.

7. Do say no to fear pressure…. Don’t succumb to the temptation to be frightened. Fight back.

8. Do remember: it’s perfectly normal to feel afraid…. Besides you’ll never really know how brave you can be if you’re not scared.

Get the picture? Sometimes our fears are just triggered by our imagination. So whenever you get the creeps, tell your overactive imagination to slow down. It’s all in the mind so better control it and manage it now before it becomes worst.

Handling With Kidney Stones

Hard, stone-like structures formed within the kidney. Also called calculi; hard masses that form in the urinary tract and which can cause pain, bleeding, obstruction, or infection. Stones are primarily made up of calcium and can vary in size from a few millimeters to over a centimeter and more in diameter. Can block the flow of urine. They can cause blockage of the urinary tract, which in turn can cause cystitis.

Typical symptoms include sharp mid-back pain, blood in the urine, painful urination, nausea, and vomiting.

To help the stone pass, drink 3 quarts of water (the equivalent of 8 soda-sized cans), each day. A heating pad set on “”low” may help ease the pain. Your doctor may also prescribe pain medicine. If the stone doesn’t pass naturally, you may need to be hospitalized.

Kidney stones can cause long-term kidney problems that in rare cases can be fatal. But with proper treatment, serious problems are unlikely. Some doctors believe that drinking lots of beer also helps – well it should actually coz’ beer acts like a diuretic + lots of fluid gets into the body + it has a smooth muscle dilator effect on the ureters.

If a stone is too large to pass on its own, or if it gets stuck in the urinary tract, you may need more treatment. About 1 or 2 out of every 10 kidney stones needs more than home treatment.

The most common medical treatment is extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). This uses shock waves to break a kidney stone into small pieces. The bits can pass out of your body in your urine. Other times, a doctor will need to remove the stone or place a small flexible plastic tube (called a stent) in the ureter to keep it open while stones pass.

No supplement can make any medical claims on their own, so the supplements can’t claim to help/prevent kidney stones…. but if your kidneys are healthy, they should run really well.

Drink cranberry juice for prevention. Drink lots of cranberry juice as a treatment — but you’re going to be in a world of pain when you pass the stone. Take the corn silk off of three ears of corn.Boil it for 5 minutes in 3 cups of water.Strain off the corn silk and sip this throughout the day or go to the health food store and get corn silk capsules.

Also, there has been research done that Flomax (a prescription drug for enlarged prostates to aid urination) can help the passage of stones, but I think that’s still up in the air. Another one of my doctors prescribed it to me, but then the ER doctors said to stop taking it.

Formaldehyde In Your Home

Formaldehyde is a colorless gas compound (HCHO) that is known as a carcinogen, meaning that it causes cancer. It is an allergen that can also irritate your eyes, mucous membranes (eyes, nose and throat) and the upper respiratory system. It can also cause headaches, rashes, hives (blistery, white, and itchy), dizziness, nausea, and chronic fatigue. Some other symptoms include: heart palpitations, ear infections, trouble sleeping, memory loss, trouble focusing, depression, weakness, migraines, abdominal pain, aching joints and muscles, and difficulty breathing. Many doctors may misdiagnose this as a form of stress/anxiety/depression. However, you can understand why this is possible when you understand that formaldehyde is used in many products, including manufacturing fertilizers, dyes, embalming fluid, preservative and disinfectant. Of course, antihistamines aren’t going to work for you here, even though your sense of smell may become overly sensitive. Nevertheless, 1 in 5 people are sensitive to formaldehyde.

Spotting formaldehyde can be difficult since it may be listed under different names. However, it is important to read the product labels and avoid not only formaldehyde itself but also formaldehyde-releasing preservatives. One of the most common names for a formaldehyde-releasing preservative is Quaternium-15. However, there are also numerous other alternative name.

Formaldehyde can be found in hundreds of products, including cosmetics, paper, wood and clothes. Simply touching those products, or just breathing the formaldehyde they release into the air, can cause intense symptoms. Your best defense is to limit exposure to this chemical.

You need to know that formaldehyde is used in most clothing and textiles to prevent colors from running, and finished products are often treated with more formaldehyde to prevent wrinkles. You need to wash new clothes before you wear them in order to remove some of the chemical. If you want to avoid formaldehyde all together, you will need to switch to an all cotton wardrobe. You also need to realize that washing your clothes with Tide, Cheer, etc only adds more chemicals to your clothes.

Nail polishes and hardeners often contain formaldehyde to improve their gloss and adhesion. The formaldehyde is released into the air while your nails are wet/drying.

Here are some other products in which formaldehyde is commonly found: over-the-counter medications, mouthwash, hair spray, cosmetics, cleaning products, perfumes, waxes, hair setting lotions, shampoo, air fresheners, fungicides, fingernail polish, floor polishes, dry cleaning solvents, toothpaste, laundry spray starch, and antiperspirants, just to name a few.

Now here is an interesting fact about formaldehyde… Due to the increase in toxic buildup in our bodies, including the toxic buildup of formaldehyde, dead bodies are not decomposing as fast as they use to. Bodies use to decompose in 4 days but now they don’t start to decompose for at least 7 days after death. While talking about dead bodies, you should also note that twice as much formaldehyde was needed to embalm a person 20 years ago compared to today.

As for Quaternium-15… This chemical is commonly found in a variety of cosmetics including: foundations, powders, concealers, bronzers, makeup removers, blushes, eye shadows, eyeliners, eyebrow makeup, and mascaras (ie Avon® Advanced (Moisture) Foundation Natural Finish Creme Powder and Max Factor® Quick Draw Magic Eyeliner Pen). Quaternium-15 is found in many cleansers, sunscreens (ie Banana Boat® Dark Tanning Lotion and Physicians Formula® Sun Shield Oil-Free), moisturizers, creams, lotions (ie U-Lactin® Lotion and Mary Kay® Angelfire Perfumed Body Lotion), shampoos (ie baby shampoos such as Johnson & Johnson® and Baby Magic®), soaps (ie Dove Beauty Bar), and other skin care products. It is also found in adhesives, paper, paperboard, inks, polishes, and latex paints.

The Addictive Properties of Modern Street Drugs

Drugs have been used recreationally for thousands of years. Over the past century, new technology has made several new classes of drugs available to consumers. Some drugs are minimally addictive, while others are highly addictive. The addictive qualities of a drug are based on how they interact with the human nervous system. Drugs that change or alter the reward system of the human brain are usually the most addictive.

The human brain and nervous system uses several chemicals to create a sense of pleasure in the body. These neurotransmitters are called serotonin and dopamine. They reward the body for certain behaviors, such as eating food, maintaining health, and sex. When someone eats a delicious meal, the brain releases dopamine and serotonin, creating a sense of pleasure in the person eating.

Different types of drugs interact with the human reward system in different ways.

Depressants

Depressants are one of the oldest classes of drugs. Depressants include alcohol, benzodiazapines, Z-drugs, and sedatives. These drugs create a sense of relaxation and euphoria in the user. Depressants often cause the release of GABA, a neurotransmitter that induces sleep and relaxation.

Depressants are highly addictive, and can have dangerous side effects. Withdrawal from depressants can cause insomnia, irritability, depression, anxiety, and sometimes death. Alcoholics should never quit ‘cold turkey’ due to the risk of seizures.

Stimulants

Stimulants work in the opposite way of depressants. Stimulants cause a massive release of serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine inside the brain. They increase heart rate, cause a sense of euphoria, and are often used as performance enhancement drugs.

Mild stimulants include drugs like caffeine found in coffee. Stronger stimulants include amphetamine, cocaine, methamphetamine, and phentermine.

Many stimulants can cause cardiac problems. Stimulants increase the metabolism of the human body, leading to an increase in heart rate and blood pressure. Many stimulants will reduce one’s appetite.

Stimulants can be extremely addictive. Since many stimulants cause a massive release of serotonin and dopamine, they create a sense of pleasure in the user that is not found naturally in nature. Many users report that the high they get from methamphetamine is the best feeling they have had in their lives. Stimulant use can damage the reward system of the user, creating a permanent type of depression in the user known as anhedonia.

Opiates

Opiates are a class of drugs used for treating pain. They include prescription drugs like codeine, hydro codeine, morphine, and demerol. They also include street drugs like heroin, desomorphine, and illicit fentanyl.

Opiates can be extremely addictive. They create a physical dependence in the user that can be challenging to break. Withdrawal symptoms for opiates include flu-like symptoms, depression, anxiety, diarrhea, and severe depression.

Before quitting any drug, talk to a healthcare professional. Some street drugs have dangerous withdrawal effects.

Symptoms Of Acid Reflux In Adults

Acid reflux is a physiological condition that causes the content of the stomach to reflux back into the esophagus and throat. There are many more factors that contribute to the development of acid reflux; the main cause is inappropriate activity of the lower esophageal sphincter (LES).

The LES is a ring of muscle at the bottom of the esophagus that acts like a valve between the esophagus and stomach. The esophagus passes food from the mouth to the stomach. When refluxed stomach acid touches the lining of the esophagus, it causes a burning sensation in the chest or throat called heartburn.

But heartburn that occurs more than twice a week then it may be considered as an Acid reflux and it can eventually lead to more serious health problems. Other causes of acid reflux are inappropriate diets, unhealthy living standard or other physical dysfunction and conditions

Symptoms of acid reflux in adults
The main symptoms of acid reflux are persistent Heartburn and Regurgitation.
1) Heartburn – Heartburn is the acid reflux symptoms most people recognize. This is painful burning sensation occurs in chest after eating a huge meal.
2) Regurgitation – Regurgitation occurs when stomach acid backs up from stomach into throat and then into mouth.

Some common symptoms of acid reflux in adults are: Abdominal pain and discomfort especially after having meal, bad breath, bitter taste in the mouth, excessive secretion of saliva and sleeping problems.

There are some extended symptoms of acid reflux in adults which are as following: difficulty swallowing, chest burn and aching, poor appetite, nausea, presence of blood in vomit and stools, throat inflammation and pain, and breathing difficulties.

If all this symptoms of acid reflux become very intense it is an aggravation. Acid reflux may cause serious damages at the level of the esophagus, due to its constant exposure to stomach gastric acid. Acid reflux can cause inflammation and swelling. It is very important to take it seriously to the symptoms of acid reflux and should be done quick treatment to overcome with that hazard.

Conclusion
Acid reflux is a disease by which people generally suffer with the acidity, heartburn, and regurgitation. Commonly, it occurs after heavy and unhygienic foods. It causes a burning sensation in the throat, which is really painful. People should do the needful as they find these symptoms in them.

The key to managing acid reflux is to eat only the mild, easy digestible food until the esophagus has healed. Eating the foods early and giving at least three hours before sitting or walking time before lying down. Eat slowly and chew food completely with the recipes for acid reflux diet.
