Massage – Why Choose A Couple’s Massage?

A massage is an outstanding way to relax and rid your body of toxins that congregate in the muscles. A good massage can rid the body of tension and help you feel better. If you suffer from chronic back pain, a good masseuse can relieve some of that pain with good technique. Massage therapy can find trigger points in the back and help to massage out those painful knots. The overall effect is feeling more relaxed and healthier. It is also proven that massage therapy will release the lactic acid that tends to accumulate in tight muscles and knots.

Why choose a couple’s massage?

A couple’s massage is a great way to relax with a significant other or with a friend. A couple’s massage is usually held in a room that can accommodate two massage tables. They are usually in close proximity to one another. Some spas have truly amazing couple’s massage rooms. They are equipped with facilities for multiple services like pedicures. Some even have fireplaces and serve refreshments. This can be a great thing to do with a close friend or sibling that you wanted to catch up with! The more exclusive the spa, the more elaborate their couple’s massage rooms are. Some spas have multiple rooms for this type of massage because it has risen significantly in popularity.

Why do romantic couples choose a couple’s massage?

This is a great way to unwind and connect while enjoying a therapy that makes the body better. Couples can talk and connect while they share a healing therapy. Some men also have less experience with massage then women. A couple’s massage is a great way for a man to feel less intimidated by a massage because they are with their significant other. This time together is without stress, in a very easy environment. It sets a nice tone for two individuals to connect in a new way. This is a peaceful way to share an activity.

Most massages are more about the body work and not about the social piece. However, couples massages encourage two people to rejuvenate and have time together. A novel idea to be able to heal the body and connect to a loved one! Massages are great for issues that plague everyone. Soreness, knots, tight muscles, insomnia and arthritis are relieved through a good massage.

A couple’s massage also takes some of the nervousness out of being alone with a massage therapist while naked. Many novices to massage feel very uneasy about this part of massage therapy. However, experiencing this with another individual makes it a lot easier to experience. It is also a great way to help a loved one or friend be introduced to the benefits of massage.

Ingrown Facial Hairs – Three Solutions

Ingrown facial hairs are especially distressing of course because they are so visible to others.

What are ingrown facial hairs?

They are hairs that have been broken or cut below the skin level which then grow out through the surrounding tissue rather than out through the hair follicle.

Depending on the severity of the condition the following choices are available for solving the problem.

Three Main Choices

1. For those wanting a permanent ingrown facial hairs solution, and who are prepared to pay the higher cost and invest the required time, electrolysis, laser treatment or epilight are viable options.

2. For an economical long term solution use the Ingrown Hair Treatment solution (see Resource box below). This can release trapped hairs and also with regular use after shaving prevent ingrown hairs from forming.

3. For occasional ingrown facial hairs tweezing is probably the best option.

Do not use ordinary tweezers to release the hair as there is the risk of taking out a chunk of the skin with it resulting in more skin irritation and damage. Needle-nose tweezers are best.

For ingrown hairs which are deep, sterilize a pair of needle-nosed tweezers with rubbing alcohol and individually lift each ingrown hair out of its follicle.

If needle-nosed tweezers are not available, wipe a pin or needle and the ingrown area with rubbing alcohol.

Then carefully release the hair in the direction that it grows using the tip of the needle only.

Never jab the needle into the skin.

After the hair is released, wipe the skin with alcohol again.

Additional suggestions for male ingrown facial hairs

Let the beard grow as the hairs will not grow back into the skin once they reach a certain length, or

Avoid shaving totally for 3 to 4 weeks until all lesions have subsided. Apply a mild cortisone cream available on prescription each morning, or

Shave every other day, rather than daily.

Shaving should be done with a sharp razor and if there is a tendency toward ingrown hair, try to minimize the number of times the blade passes over the skin and shave in the direction of the hair growth. (Some individuals can shave against the direction of hair growth to get a close shave without the risk of ingrown facial hairs. Each person is different as to hair texture and skin sensitivity and will need to experiment to see what works for them.)

Waxing, sugaring or tweezing should be done carefully so hair is not broken below the skin level.

By paying attention to the way facial hair is removed, the danger of ingrown facial hairs can be greatly minimized.

Is the hcg diet the primary method for reducing stomach fat 2010

During the 1930’s, HCG was given to children who had been diagnosed with Frolich’s syndrome, an uncommon childhood metabolic disorder marked by morbid obesity as well as slowed development of the genital body parts caused by growths inside the hypothalamus gland. HCG drops not just treated the slowed expansion of the genitalia but in addition resulted in weight-loss reducing stomach fat in affected individuals to which it was implemented.
Dr. A.T.W. Simeons noticed these outcomes and began giving HCG to the people who were obese but didn’t have Frolich’s syndrome. He identified that, while patient’s appetites were being reduced and their hips and waistline sizes lessened, they were not dropping pounds or even reducing stomach fat. HCG drops were changing fat deposits from abnormal fat (excess fat inside the thighs, buttocks, and mid-section) to structural fats (body fat which cushions organs as well as the soles of the feet).
Immediately after studying in third world nations and observing that females on really low calorie diets (VLCDs) were giving birth to healthy babies, he chose to experiment with HCG along with a VLCD, and experienced very good results. The initial outcomes of the HCG remained seen (body fat was transforming from abnormal to structural fat and patients were encountering reduced desire for food) and the stomach fat was being burned to maintain lean muscle mass. His patients were losing the weight and keeping it off.
He published his conclusions in a manuscript he named “Pounds and Inches; A New Approach to Obesity”. He tagged obesity as being the condition that causes overeating (not the other way round) and provided a step by step program, including his revolutionary hcg diet plan, for the cure.
The HCG diet is currently becoming rediscovered by the public, the effects including reducing stomach fat and general excessive fats is naturally popular It is the number one searched (weight loss) term on Google and 1000’s have reported positive results after completion. Individuals with more than 15 lbs to shed often find that they don’t actually need the five hundred calories allotted because of the greater energy provided from your B vitamins in HCG supplements as well as energy from stomach fat being used up.
So just why hasn’t the Hcg diet protocol been promoted in the past fifty years? While conspiracy theorists point to cover-ups, probably the most probable reason is deficiency of education and publicity. Fitness professionals do not trust the ‘no-or-low exercise’ regimen. The fact remains, HCG is simply a stepping stone to getting to raised health and wellbeing. It is going to supply you with the weight-loss you would like with minimum effort and permit you to begin a healthier lifestyle. Stop Nail Biting – Some Different Approaches to Stop Biting Your Nails

Nail biting is considered a repetitive behavior that shows different levels of intensity. Some nail biters just nibble a little on their fingernails. Almost as if there is flavor that they are trying to get a taste of. Then there are people who are nail biters that really go to town on their fingers. They not only bite their nails but also chew and bite the skin around their nails as well as the cuticles. And there is a vast range of behaviors between these ends of the spectrum. Whatever kind of nail biter you are, your primary interest is to stop nail biting.

Compulsive nail biting is not only about biting your nails, but the chewing and biting becomes so serious that it leads to bleeding, open sores that can become infected which can also lead to permanent disfigurement. These people usually also have some forms of OCD or other mental illness. This stems from an unconscious behavior that is also apparent in the common form of nail biting. Compulsive nail biting with OCD drivers are not very common. Many people who are nail biters are often unaware of when they bite their nails, so it becomes that much more difficult to put an end to the behavior.

It is thought that the cause of nail biting comes from the environment. Some think that there is a biological connection to this behavior as well. This could be a learned response passed on from parent to child, or spread around among other children.

There can be several reasons that people bite their nails. I have read conflicting reasons offered by different psychologists, and psychiatrists. And here are two examples of opposite reasons given by differing psychological views.

Nail biting is sometimes noted as a response to stress. Biting the nails acts as a way of soothing and calming the nail biter. It could be reducing stimulation.

And then on the other hand, biting your fingernails could increase your level of stimulation when you are bored. It could help to keep the person awake and aware. Do you see what I mean? There's that connection with two totally opposing responses to the same exact stimulus. So what I get from this is that it's totally dependent on what associations that the nail biter has created on their own.

Perfectionism has been claimed to be one of the reasons for nail biting as well. Trying to straighten out irregular shaped nails by biting them into shape. This causes far more problems with the way the nails end up looking than when they started out.

There are a number of these types of behaviors that are thought to be related. Some examples are hair pulling, skin picking, nail biting and cheek chewing. With each of these problems the common remedies seem to revolve around the same protocols.

With so many differing psychological reasons for nail biting, I get the feeling that psychologists really do not know why people become nail biters. Their approach to helping nail biters also widely varies.

You can drug your self using anti depressants that are prescribed for people suffering from OCD. This is a mainstream approach for nail biters and you need to be under the treatment of a psychiatrist.

The current methods using psychotherapy revolve around re training the person to monitor and change their responses. The techniques involve habit reversal training. Using self monitoring the patient becomes aware of their behaviors, seeking to interrupt the behavior. Then there's stimulus control which is a therapeutic way of changing a persons internal moods, and emotions.

A competing response is designed to supply the patient with an alternative to biting their nails. This approach usually is scheduled over a 3 or more month period. And usually takes over a year for the urges to fade away.

Nail biting hypnosis speeds up the process considerably. Depending upon what type of nail biting you are experiencing, and how determined you are to stop nail biting, you can stop biting your nails in the very first visit to the hypnotist. Others can take a number of sessions longer. The industry average that people see hypnotists to resolve their problem is 4 to 6 sessions. With habits residing in the subconscious mind, and with hypnosis being the premier way of communicating with your subconscious it's no wonder that it works so much quicker.

Do not Let a Sprained Ankle Get the Best of You – Tips on Caring For a Sprained Ankle

More often than not, no matter how careful you are not to injure yourself during an intense workout, taking a sudden step or suffering from a fall will lead to a sprained ankle. Professional athletes and those who exercise regularly are often the victims of this type of injury, which is why it pays to know the firsthand tips on caring for your lower body joints.

The Difference between a Sprain and a Strain

The key to knowing the first aid treatment on caring for an injured joint is to first know the difference between a strain and a sprain.

Sprains refer to a tearing of the ligaments which join together the ends of bones. This type of injury occurs on the ankles, knees and wrists – and is usually a result of any of the following:

  • Falling
  • A blow to the body which causes a joint to go out of its normal position
  • Twisting a knee with the foot firmly on the ground

Strains, on the other hand, occur on a muscle or tendon.

Tips on Caring for an Sprained Joint

In caring for an injury, here are a few tips that you need to keep in mind:

  1. Rest the injured area – if it hurts when you move, use crutches.
  2. The first aid treatment is to place ice on the injured area as soon as possible.
  3. Finally, compress the joint area using a bandage and elevate the foot to reduce the amount of swelling.

Naturally, you need to seek the help of a physician the earliest time possible to determine if an X-ray or additional treatments are needed to heal the sprained ankle.

Diabetes Medication For Type 2

Diabetes is increasingly becoming more common these days as the quantity of people diagnosed every year increased by 48% between 1980 and 1994 and nearly all of the new cases are Type 2 Diabetes. This is not just an epidemic, but also one that needs to be found a cure.

As you may, or may not, already know, Type 2 Diabetes is the commonest form of Diabetes that can really be cured with a little bit of effort. It’s also known as non-insulin dependent diabetes and it is affecting 90-95% of the entire 21 million person community who is unfortunate enough to have it.

The huge difference between people with Type 1 diabetes versus Type 2 is the fact that those folks with Type 1 are resistant to insulin and aren’t in a position to produce it naturally….at all. They are also considered to have a kind of autoimmune illness because their body disables their own defenses of the cells that are needed to produce said insulin.
However the difference is that for people with Type 2, the insulin is either not enough or the body simply ignores it and isn’t correctly used because they are resistant to it also.

Being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes can be awfully frightening, but it is’s not the end of the Earth as it can be cured naturally. It’s critically crucial that you arm yourself with as much information as practicable to not only cure diabetes, but also to prevent it in the future and help out those around you who may be showing signs and symptoms.
When it all comes down to which type of diabetes is worse, it would appear that Type 1 not only gets the proposal, but also wins the award as well! Most people with Diabetes think that they’re stuck with the condition for life and that there’s not anything that they can do about it. The good news is that they are wrong! Diabetes can be cured thru diet and exercise and I have personally witnessed folk completely go off their medicine simply by making major changes to their daily habits.

Obesity Prevention – When, & How Early, Should It Start?

If you got kids, and they’re quiet fat, well, they may look cute for now. However, once they grow up, baby fat may not sound cute anymore, because they could become obese, and be more prone to a lot of obesity-relate diseases. Today, most schools in the developed world are banning sodas, cupcakes and other junk foods, in a bid to stem the rising number of the obese. So when, and how early, should obesity prevention start?

The Numbers of The Young & Obese Are Rising

Obesity isn’t just spreading in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, but also in the developing world. And like children and teenagers, babies are getting alarmingly fatter too. It’s estimated that one in ten children under age two is overweight. The number of kids aged 2-5 years old who are obese have also risen from 5 percent in 1980 to 12.4 percent in 2006.

Despite the alarming rise in childhood obesity, most prevention programs and methods have continued to veer away from planning interventions at such a young age. One of the reasons is because the number of obese teens is way higher than that of younger children, which is currently pegged at 18 percent.

Anti-Obesity Interventions Aimed At School-Aged Kids May Be Too Late

The current obesity-prevention programs being undertaken today are usually designed to target school-aged children. A new study however, says that may be too little, too late. The study notes that the interventions by parents and health care experts should be done during the toddler years, or even during infancy.

The research team stresses that if no major healthy-eating interventions are made during the toddler years, it may be quite hard to stop the obesity curve by the time the child reaches kindergarten. Although the new study is not 100 percent accurate, it still stresses that prevention should begin at a very early age. This perhaps explains why a lot of alternative and unique methods (like hypnotherapy for weight loss) are fast gaining popularity.

What Should Be Done To Halt The Obesity Crisis?

In order to stop, if not slow down, the obesity epidemic, public and private health officials are now coordinating with non-government organizations to complement the minimal impact made by clinical interventions, education and counseling. Among the new strategies includes changing the food environment, by improving the image of healthy food, and making unhealthy food less attractive and more expensive.

Because sugar-sweetened beverages and sodas are the major contributors to obesity, more schools today are serving drinking water, instead of colas and sodas, in order to reduce caloric intake among kids. In New York City for example, an initiative is now being implemented to significantly reduce sweetened-beverage consumption, by encouraging both young and old to make water the beverage of choice.

The war on obesity is also heading to the tax front. Today, governments are creating tax policies to reduce the consumption of unhealthy items such as alcohol, junk food and tobacco. The proceeds from the anti-obesity tax is then used to support obesity-prevention programs like physical education in schools, and in incentives for increasing fruit and vegetable production, as well as consumption.

So if you tax a 1-oz sugar-sweetened beverage by just ten percent, the resulting price increase should perhaps make more and more people frown on buying colas and sodas. Health experts are also proposing that subsidies which promote unhealthy food consumption should be removed too, so that people will be discouraged from buying them. And maybe today, it would be high-time for us to try other unique (and effective) obesity-reduction programs like hypnotherapy South Australia.

The Details On Erectile Dysfunction Causes

No man likes to discuss or even consider erectile dysfunction. For men who have been inflicted with this uncomfortable and embarrassing dysfunction it can be embarrassing and extremely hard to talk about even with family and friends. Even with the popular drug Viagra being looked at as a miracle for men who take it, erectile dysfunction is still more of a taboo subject then it should be. However, with more information coming out every day men are not as ashamed as they used to be and often quickly seek help for erectile dysfunction which is a good thing.

There can be many causes for erectile dysfunction, both psychological and medical. Whereas some can be reversed through medical procedures, some can not be. One of these medical conditions that although treatable, may hinder a man's sexual performance is Diabetes. This disease can interfere with the flow of a man's blood through the body which drastically reduces an erection. Kidney disease, alcoholism, high blood pressure, heart conditions, and MS are other diseases that can affect blood flow. Sometimes it is the disease itself that affects blood flow but other times, it could be the medications that they take for these diseases. It could also be some sort of trauma to the penis, bladder, prostate, pelvic area, or the nerves near and around the penis that can start erectile dysfunction.

As for psychological reasons, there are plenty that can cause erectile dysfunction. Whenever someone is depressed, has anxiety, insecurity, or stress it can really affect how they perform in bed. If someone is using alcohol, drugs, or even smoking to combat this stress or anxiety that could also hinder the penis from performing as it should. Alcohol in particular makes it very hard for a man to get erect and even harder for him to orgasm. This can lead to inadequacy that can even further disrupt his sexual desire. It is a vicious cycle that for a lot of men does not seem to end.

While studies are not exactly sure how many men suffer from erectile dysfunction it is most likely a lot more men then they think. Some men are still afraid to speak with anyone about it and can live with the shame for many years before doing anything about it. You have to first acknowledge the problem so that you can be on your way to getting the help you need. Then you need to decide which course of action you need to take to fix the issue. If it is purely psychological then sometimes seeking therapy or counseling can help with the erectile dysfunction, but if it is medically caused then you should see your physician about what you can do to deflect the problem.

Many men turn to using devices such as traction or vacuum devices that can help speed up the blood flow. Still others use medication such as Cialis, Viagra, and Levitra which have all been medically proven to help sufferers maintain the type of erection that they have been looking for. Finally there are pill systems that are herbal supplements that give a more natural solution. Although not as powerful as the previously mention drugs, they can certainly help in some cases. You do not have to live with Erectile Dysfunction like you did many years ago. There are more than enough solutions to help you through this tough time.

Skin Rash From Sun

Heat rash is a red or pink rash usually found on body areas covered by clothing. It can develop when the sweat ducts become blocked and swell and often leads to discomfort and itching. Heat related illnesses occur when the body has lost the ability to control the temperature. The person’s normal ability to cool itself by manufacturing sweat has shut down. When this has occurred, it’s important to drop the temperature rapidly or they might experience permanent damage. Sometimes, certain medicines can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight. Since summer months are when the sun’s rays are their harshest it is best to know which medicines trigger such skin rashes.

If someone experiences a rash after sun exposure, you should loosen their clothing, particularly unbuttoning their collar and rolling up their sleeves. Cool water can be applied on the head.. One of the fastest ways that you can bring down such a condition is cooling the head. Dirtiness can’t be avoided at times. Most of us live in the city, where traffic is congested and air is polluted. Our skin can get dirty just by taking a walk in the streets. Sometimes, we don’t notice that our skin is getting dirty. Unnatural chemicals can often trigger rashes and eczema. Swimming pools are full of chlorine which dries out the skin, and in my case it often triggered eczema to appear. This type of eczema is known as chemical dermatitis, and can be triggered by many different types of chemicals.

It is more common in people with fair skin and you can identify it by small red blisters or large spots, appearing on the areas which have had the most sun exposure. This type of rash can be extremely itchy and it often occurs either immediately or a few hours after being exposed to the sun. The goal is to have not only beautiful, but healthier skin also, correct?  This is the time of year when we pay close attention to the products that claim to provide protection from harmful UV rays, and sunburn.  Using a daily moisturizer with UV protection gives you several beneits.

Avoid the sun when it is too hot. It is always better to avoid sun exposure for the few hours a day when the sun is very strong. This is between 12 noon and 3:00. It is better to choose a shaded area if possible. Always try to wear light clothes with full sleeves to provide extra protection to the skin. Certain people react adversely to harsh lightening ingredients such as Hydroquinone and even Kojic acid. If you go for natural ingredients, your skin will safely get rid of the spots. Stylish, loose fitting shirts and pants are available, often with ventilation systems built in to help keep you cool. There are wraps to cover swimsuits, as well as tighter rash guard type shirts you can actually wear into the water. Go for natural ingredients .The more natural the ingredients incorporated in the product, the better. Chemicals can cause sensitivity. These ingredients also make your skin more sensitive to the sun’s UV rays.

Fibroids Pressing on the Bladder – What Can I Do?

If you have fibroids pressing on your bladder, this is no doubt causing you great discomfort. It is not always the size of fibroids which is relevant, but often their location and this is a case in point!

Sometimes even large fibroids can cause very few issues when they are located centrally in the uterus. However, those which happen to be pressing on nerves, the bowel, other internal organs or, in this case, the bladder can cause significant problems.

The uterus lies just below the bladder and there is a partial attachment at one point. When fibroids grow forward, it can press on the bladder so that it cannot fill properly with urine meaning that you may want to pass urine more often. Some women also find that when they cough or sneeze, the fibroid can press on the bladder causing urine leakage (stress incontinence). This can naturally cause extreme embarrassment for many women.

So, what can you do about fibroids pressing on the bladder?

The problem with fibroids is that conventional medicine and surgery are really only temporary solutions. The reality is that unless you treat the causes of your fibroids (which neither surgery or drug treatment can do) they will regrow. This is the very reason why many doctors advocate a “watchful waiting” approach.

If you are the type of person who is willing to take charge of your own treatment, you could make a significant difference to the size of your fibroids by following a number of protocols including:-

* Dietary changes

* Significant lifestyle changes

* Stress reduction

* Toxin elimination

* Cleansing protocols

* Exercise regime

Curing Fibroids Naturally – The Role Played by Detoxing the Liver

There are various elements contained within a successful plan for curing fibroids naturally and a robust liver detox is an essential part of any good system. Maintaining a healthy liver is important for good, overall health, but if you are prone to fibroids, then it is absolutely crucial that your liver is in the best of health.

The liver is responsible for producing various substances which are essential for the health of the immune system, maintaining hormonal balance and blood sugar levels and helping contribute to our fertility. It also plays a key role in helping remove viruses, yeasts and debris from the body. If your liver is not working properly, this can lead to hormonal imbalance, the poor working of the immune system and insulin resistance, all of which contribute to the formation of fibroids.

There are 5 elements to consider for a successful liver detox which will help in curing fibroids naturally: –

1. Eat a low fat diet rich in nuts, beans, seeds and non-starchy vegetables. Include garlic and onions but avoid refined carbohydrates, hydrogenated oils, alcohol and saturated fats

2. Take a good, all-round multivitamin and mineral supplement

3. A juice fast will help with liver detoxification and help to flush out toxic compounds

4. Take the supplements, Milk Thistle, Chloline, and Betaine-all of which help to support the liver

5. Conduct a Liver Flush

Although a liver detox is only one part of an overall plan for curing fibroids naturally, it is certainly an essential part and should not be overlooked. Other elements include taking steps to adjust your diet and exercise levels and stress management.

Here’s why:

I’ve discovered a home remedy for acne that you already have in your house but may not know it can be used to clear up your acne.

Best part: This has already work wonders for many whose used it.

What is it that I’m talking about?

It’s toothpaste!

Yes the same toothpaste you use every day to brush your teeth can also be used as an effective acne rosacea treatment.

Why is that?

Simply because toothpaste contains powerful drying properties that can shrink, reduce and dry up your pimples.

Which brand should you get?

It doesn’t really matter which brand you get but what matters is the type of toothpaste you get. There are two forms of toothpaste, the gel form and the paste form.

The form I recommend is the paste form because the drying property of the paste form is much more powerful. However, I do not recommend you get the types that contain a lot of fluoride or whitening ingredients.

This is because these ingredients can be irritating to your skin.

Here are the step by step instructions on how to use toothpaste to treat acne:

  1. Wash your hands – Since you are going to be using your hands to apply toothpaste onto acne affected areas on your skin, it is important that your hands are clean and bacteria free or you may worsen your acne condition.
  2. Wash your face – it is also very important that you face is clean. This way, the toothpaste will be more effective when you apply it. So wash your face with a cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup that may get in the way.
  3. Let your face dry up – after washing your face, simply pat it dry with a soft towel and wait five minutes for it to completely dry up. Your skin will be able to absorb the toothpaste more effectively when it is completely dry.
  4. Apply toothpaste – now apply toothpaste on acne affected areas only. I do not recommend you apply everywhere due to its drying effect, it may dry up your skin. Remember, you only want to dry up your pimples and not your skin.
  5. Leave it on for 30 minutes – you want to leave the toothpaste on for at least 30 minutes or until it totally dries up on your skin. This is when the drying effect takes place and reduces the size of pimples.
  6. Rinse off with cool or warm water and pat dry with a soft towel.
  7. Repeat steps 1 through 6 once a day.
