Ph Balance Of The Human Body / Unhealthy Verses Healthy / Acidic Verses Alkaline

Have you ever thought about the human body what makes it tick. What makes it produce static electricity and generate energy so that we may do a multitude of tasks at any given moment in time. Where does the magnetism come from and how does it operate. Well that’s what we’re going to talk about.

There is not a computer or a machine built by man today that is more complex and wonderful to behold than the human body.  Now many scientists do disagree on the amount of cells we possess, some believe 6 trillion cells and others believe over 60 trillion cells. Who cares who’s right, the fact of the matter is the human body is simply amazing. There’s just one question I want to ask? What gives it the spark of life, energy, magnetism? That’s the question I’m going to attempt to answer for you.

When you and I take in a breath of air we are not only breathing in oxygen, but we are also breathing in nitrogen and pollutants as well. Of the air that we breath on a daily basis approximately 18 to 24% is only oxygen almost 70 % is nitrogen and the rest is carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and other pollutants that we have put into our atmosphere over time and space. Now what about this nitrogen? Nitrogen is what I like to refer to as the spark of life. It is the nitrogen in the air that we breath that sparks the neurotransmitters ot the brain to send messages throughout the human body telling it what to do at any given moment in time. Yes, but how does it do that you may ask?

Our bodies are a complex structure of skin, matter, water, blood, cerebral spinal fluid, organs, veins and arteries etc. etc. etc., that are primarily composed of Ions, Protons, Neurons etc.  that are  the cataclysts for the electical charges emitted by the human body. These electrical charges are first started by that first chemical we talked about,  Nitrogen, which is responsible for igniting the spark to send messages via the brain through neurotransmitters to the rest of the body. These messages are sent through the central nervous system of the body through the spine telling the body what to do.  Your spine is not only a skeletal structure of bones to hold you upright and keep you together but it is also a protective covering for the central nervous system made up of veins, arteries and oxygen rich blood to name a few. It is through this central nervous system that the brain sends messages throughout the body via the blood and water.

Now what is all this leading up to you may ask? It is leading up to that key chemical in the human body called hydrogen. What about hydrogen. Have you ever heard of the PH balance of the human body. PH stands for Potential of Hydrogen within a mixture. PH balance is measured from 0 to 14, and yes you guessed it 7 is balanced or by some referred to as neutral. If your test shows under 7 you are acidic and over 7 is alkaline. What you want to do is to take your body from being acidic to alkaline because disease cannot co-exist in an alkaline body. Alkaline means more oxygen in the blood and the more oxygen rich your blood is the less chance you have of being sick or contracting a  disease. Disease cannot exist in an alkaline body. So how do I bring my body to be more alkaline you may ask? Good question.

First of all there are many foods that are acidic and many that are alkaline. Tomatoes for example are very acidic and yet pasta without the sauce on it is alkaline.  Before you even attempt to bring your body to being alkaline it is a good rule of thumb to know your blood type and see what foods are good to eat for your blood type. Eating the wrong combination of foods is one of the greatest disease producing venues on the planet today. You may think you are eating a balanced diet yet the wrong combination of foods for your blood type is detrimental to your health. Get on the internet and search foods for certain blood types.

To bring this into perspective let me share with you what happened to me a year ago. Our family had an anniversary I attended at a Mandarin Restaurant ( an all u-can eat buffet ) but as it turns out I overindulged in Shrimp and Prime Rib ( red meat ) and the next day I contracted gout  ( an arthritic disease ) and I could not walk. My big toe was the size of a tennis ball. Gout basically is too much uric acid in the blood caused by the wrong combination of foods taken in simultaneously. Now, I am an O blood type which means I am a meat eater and my body needs more meat as well as lots of fruit and vegetables yet someone who is a B or AB blood type needs to be eating more fruit, vegetables and fish yet less meat.

The wrong combination of foods is why many people have a multitude of problems and get sick.Certain foods taken simultanously can be detrimental to your health. It is good to find out what blood type you are and what foods are good for that blood type. One last thing, you must  bring your body to being more alkaline from acidic by starting to drink more herbal teas and green teas instead of too much coffee. Also start making your own lemonaide with lemons and limes which are good alkaline foods. You will notice a huge difference if you start doing this on a regular basis. Implement good habits like this and good things will follow as far as your health is concerned.

Special Warning stay away from chinese green teas as they still use DDT on their crops in China. DDT ( d ichloro d iphenyl t tichloroethane – which is a synthetic pesticide ) was banned in North America in the 1960’s since it is one of the hightest cancer causing agents on the planet. Green teas from Japan, the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom is a safe bet.

Our bodies are made in such a way that they may heal themselves as long as you are injecting the right things into them. Our amazing immune system is made in such a way that it will fight off sickness and disease given the right circumstances and the right chemicals meaning the right nutrients and enzymes necessary for the human body. The four main reasons people get sick is, 1) the  wrong combination of foods taken in simultaneously, 2) chemicals in the air we breathe, 3) chemicals in the food we eat, or 4) a blockage in the body.  That blockage may be in the form of a blocked colon, blocked artery, a pinched nerve or a blocked gland .  Only around 15 % of sicknesses are heredity or from a virus while 85% are a result of these four things. Now having said this I am not one of the only people on this planet that adheres to this theory. Norman Walker who was a Doctor and a Naturopath who lived to be 99 years of age and cured multitudes of people of a myriad of diseases also subscribed to this theory.

Tips for Working on Plaster Walls

If you live in an older house, say 50 or 60 years or older, there is a good likelihood that you have plaster on your walls. Plaster walls were very common, especially in the late 18th century and 19th century. Plaster was fairly readily available, was workable, and was capable of producing very smooth walls and ornate embellishments. It was and is however, very difficult to worth with. It took a fine plasterer many years to learn his trade under the careful instruction of a master plasterer.

Plaster is still widely available, though rarely used. Just check the painting aisles of

your local home improvement center and you’ll see it mixed in with spackle and

patching compound. The reason for its demise was the invention of joint

compound. Unlike plaster, joint compound (or drywall compound) is easy to work

with. It is slow to set up and harden, is very easy to sand, mixes easily, can be

purchased already-mixed, and is easy to clean up. Joint compound works by simply

letting the water evaporate out, leaving the hard, white stuff on the wall.

Plaster, on the other hand, sets up quickly, hardens like cement, is very difficult to

work with once it starts to set up, is hard to clean up, and must be mixed up as

needed and in quantities that can be worked with quickly. Plaster as it sets up, is

actually a chemical reaction between the solid plaster and the water.

For this reason, joint compound is the natural choice for most new homes and

patching jobs. However, plaster is by far the superior product. A plaster wall is rock

hard, has a solid sound, and feel, is not easy damaged or scratched, and can

withstand some abuse. These properties make for some interesting remodeling and

repairs.

A simple task such as hanging a hook for a picture frame can cause large chunks of

plaster to break free from the wall and come crashing down. Try to drive a drywall

screw into plaster can be an exercise in frustration as chunks break out of the wall

and the screw getting dulled by the plaster, Drill bits and saw blades dull instantly

on contact.

Because of these challenges with plaster, I have compiled a few tips for working with

it. Be aware, that these work for me in most situations, but plaster can be different

and behave differently in different locations, so work very carefully.

1. When hanging a picture frame from a hook with a nail in it, first tape a large

piece of masking tape over the area where you will drive the nail. This will help

prevent chip-out. Once the nail is in place, remove the tape.

2. Another way to insert a wall hanger for a picture frame is to drill a small pilot

hole for the nail. The pilot hole need not be deep. Just deep enough to penetrate the

topcoat of plaster. If you see brown dust coming from the drill bit, you are through

the topcoat and into the brown coat.

3. To drive a screw through plaster, always drill a pilot hole!

4. Never use a drywall screw in plaster to hold anything! Even though it may seem

that the plaster is holding it in place, you risk tearing out a large chunk of plaster

should you find a weak spot. Always screw through the plaster and into the studs.

5. When screwing through plaster and into the wall studs, make sure you are into

the wall studs and not the wood lath that holds the plaster on the wall! Pulling down

lath is one of the worst things you can do, as it will pull down large chunks of

plaster with it!

6. Standard stud finders don’t work on plaster walls. You need stud sensors that

feature some sort of deep penetrating technology. Common stud finders are

designed for half-inch drywall walls and can distinguish plaster thickness very well.

7. Use the tapping technique to find studs. Plaster has good harmonics and by

tapping or rapping it with your knuckles, you can usually hear the hollows between

the studs fairly easily.

8. Like anything else in an old house, be extra careful! There weren’t building

codes when many of these houses were built so there is no guarantee that you wall

studs are evenly spaced, that there aren’t old pipes in the walls, or that abandoned

and antiquated plumbing and electrical lines exist in the walls.

Remember, work slowly and smartly! Never rush an old house project. Take a few

minutes to think things out several times. You will still run into surprises, but if you

work slowly and deliberately, hopefully, they won’t ruin your day!

Information on Throat Cancer Cure

Throat cancer is a condition where cancer affects the vocal cords, voice box (larynx), or other areas of the throat. About 600 people in Victoria are diagnosed with cancer of the throat, mouth or nose each year. Throat cancer affects more men than women. It affects more people aged over 50 years than those aged under 50. Risk factors include smoking and heavy alcohol consumption. Smokers who drink heavily are at even greater risk.

Throat cancer often develops from squamous cells on the mucosal surfaces of the larynx, pharynx or mouth. Smoking cigarettes and drinking large quantities of alcohol can increase a person’s risk for developing throat cancer. Head and neck cancers account for about 5 percent of cancers in the United States. Throat cancers usually develop around age 60, and men are 10 times more likely to develop them than women.

Mouth sores, tender gums, and a sore throat or esophagus often result from radiation therapy, chemotherapy, or infection. If you are under treatment for cancer and have a sore mouth or gums, see your doctor to be sure the soreness is a treatment side effect and not an unrelated dental problem. The doctor may be able to give you medicine that will control mouth and throat pain. Your dentist also can give you tips for the care of your mouth.

Throat Cancer Treatment

Surgical removal of the tumor, including all or part of the vocal cords (laryngectomy) may be necessary in some cases. If a laryngectomy is required, a surgical prosthesis (artificial vocal cords) may be implanted, voice aids may be used, or speech therapy may be recommended to teach alternative methods of speaking.

If the tumor that contains the cancer cells is small, either surgery or radiation therapy alone can be used to eliminate the tumor. If the tumor is not small, or has spread to lymph nodes in the neck, a more aggressive treatment of radiation and chemotherapy is often needed.

Rehabilitation therapy – this may include assistance from a dietitian, speech therapist and physiotherapist. Social workers, counsellors and clinical psychologists can help patients come to terms with the post-operative changes to their finances, social and professional lives, and appearance.

The decision of which treatment to pursue is made with your doctor (with input from other members of your care team) and your family members, but ultimately, the decision is yours.

Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is the use of drugs to kill cancer cells. Researchers are looking for effective drugs or drug combinations to treat throat cancer. They are also exploring ways to combine chemotherapy with other forms of cancer treatment to help destroy the tumor and prevent the disease from spreading. Chemotherapy is given at the time of radiation therapy in select tumors usually in the setting of a therapeutic clinical trial.

Radiation

At Mayo Clinic, patients receive state-of-the-art radiation therapy alone or combined with chemotherapy or surgery. Highly skilled radiation oncologists use radiation therapy for throat cancers of all stages, providing several types of radiation therapy, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy, radiosurgery and brachytherapy. A multidisciplinary team of oncologists evaluates patients with throat cancer and tailors treatments to each patient.

Angiogenesis inhibitors. Cetuximab (Erbitux) is a medication that stops the growth of new blood vessels that cancers need to grow. This drug has recently been approved for use along with chemotherapy in cancers of the oral cavity.

Get the Value of Your Dreams

The Dream … many meanings, giving many kinds of value.

A dream is a wish. Hopes can be a dream to be fulfilled some time. Dreams are things we have in the night that heal us and give us integration to our thoughts. Some dreams, although difficult to view, can give us release in our sleep from torments in our daily lives.

Some dreams fix things we just can not get our brain to stop worrying about. At times the ONLY resolution is in that altered state of consciousness we call "The Dream."

So dreams are many things to different people. And they can even be different things for each of us at different times.

So, what is the value of a dream to inspire or to motivate? How can you have dreams that make life better and more valuable in your personal experience?

The value of having dreams for this article is finding how dreams can give us the strength or perseverance to continue when nothing else will keep us going. Dreams build desire.

Dreams bring peace in the sense of "a future, you want to be in" and often you work to bring into your existence. Or, at least, allow to happen for you.

Dreams give you a course to follow. They can bring you back to align with your personal compass. "Where am I going and how am I getting there?" Your dreams of heart and desires can give you that course to follow.

Kids sometimes sound annoying, "Are we there, yet?" Well as children we did not really understand the value of the journey. For children, "Nothing happens, till they can play."

As we mature we realize the value of the time anticipating, expecting, looking forward to some thing. And then wanting intensely for the "fun" to begin. We begin to find a purpose for anticipating.

Young boys anticipating their first "partner" experiences … Your girls looking forward to the planning, growing a family … College students looking for the time of productivity …

You may remember different things you hoped were coming your way. Some you may still hiring and wiping for. You want "it" to be part of the fun, the excitation and longing for.

Dreams of many kinds give us that some "thing" not easily labeled, which can make dispositions bearable. Dreams give us, as humans, the ability to end, even when the odds are against us. Even when it is almost impossible to image a positive outcome, we can still continue, "for the dream."

With dreams we can be at the brink of failure, and still we do not give up. We "dream", "We will make it no matter what!"

Some may go to Hollywood with "a dream" to be that some one special. Like the mystic voice in the beginning of the movie "Pretty Woman", "It's Hollywood, were everyone has a dream." "Every one has a dream, what's yours?"

Are you nurturing your dreams? Have you been hurt too much or bruised too deeply to keep your dream alive?

Having a dream can be a set of goals. It can be a plan you work on each week to make it come true. Yours can be a passion, worked on, with practice or lessons or coaching.

Your dream can be many things. It can be comprised of a number of steps and parts. All of this is part of keeping your dream alive and growing.

No matter, you need a dream to keep you going when the going gets tough. And we all know, "It always gets tough."

What we do, "when it gets tough", is the distance between the winners, players and those at the end of the line, lost without spirit.

The value of your dream is awesome. So large is the value that it is like water for a fish. It is just part of the world of a fish. This water, what water? For the fish, water is life.

Find your dreams again. Light a fire under your dreams with a plan, steps or revisiting those hopes of a dream.

Your deserve your dreams. Keep your dreams alive. Enliven your life with the power and value of your dreams.

Springer Spaniel Problems – Skin

There are five main basic reasons for skin problems in dogs, but springers do fare well compared to some other breeds. The main reasons are hereditary predisposition, contagious diseases, problems with the immune system, dermatitis (allergic reaction to external agents), and external skin symptoms of internal disease.

Fortunately, springer spaniels are not as prone as some breeds to inherited skin problems, or to problems with their immune system. Some of the skin conditions can be treated and ‘cured’ easily, others are systemic and could require lifelong treatment and palliative or (easing) therapies such as ointments.

Like most breeds though, they are susceptible to infectious skin conditions (such as mange), and dermatitis arising from a variety of causes.

Depending on what you see, arguably any form of skin irritation could be termed ‘dermatitis’. Let’s consider the three main problem headings with springer spaniel skin:

Infectious Diseases

By definition, these are picked up from other dogs and their traces, such as stools, vomit or even dead foxes, though for infectious skin diseases, contact with another dog is the most likely vector. Canine scabies is a fairly commonplace infectious problem. Ringworm (a fungal infection) is more common in puppies than adult dogs.

Springers may also become infected with contagious lice.

If you have any suspicion that your dog has an infectious disease, then get a vet’s opinion immediately.

Dermatitis

There are many causes of dermatitis, including bacterial, fungal, yeast, or parasitic infection (mange is caused by a skin mite), seborrhoea, an allergic food reaction, flea bites (their saliva is a common allergen), drug reactions; exposure to toxins, nutritional problems, contact with an irritating substance, and sunburn. Allergic reaction to food may be harder to pin down, and dietary adjustments might be necessary. If you suspect an allergy, then talk to the breeder – your dog’s parents may have had similar problems. If you are treating your dog for another condition, then an allergy could be due to an adverse drug reaction. Your vet would be aware of this. Problems arising from a nutritional deficiency could be due to bad diet, but this is rare for dogs which are properly fed, unless their bodies are unable properly to process, say a particular mineral or vitamin. This of course could be an aspect of a metabolic disorder.

Internal Disease Presenting Skin Symptoms

These include metabolism disorders (the body’s ‘engine’) and hormonal (endocrine) disorders. Cancer could result in excessive itching due to skin irritation. Secondary Problems Problems with the skin which make your springer scratch and lick can lead on to other problems such as Hot Spots. ‘Hot spots’ – acute moist dermatitis – arise from over-licking a particular spot on the skin (overlicking means licking more than would be usual form grooming or exploration and interferes with other activities such as eating and sleeping). This over licking may be in response to, for example, a flea allergy.

If not treated, then the over licking can lead to a staphylococcal infection which may need antibiotics to cure it, and should always be examined by a vet. Indeed, any other skin problem which results in broken skin should be treated carefully to prevent infections taking hold.

Prevention

Because springers are love mucking about they should be cleaned and examined regularly. In most cases, prevention is straightforward. Groom your dog regularly, examining the coat and skin, and use a recommended medicated shampoo. If you live in an area where ticks are prevalent (your vet will advise), you should check his coat for ticks and apply a tick powder regularly.

Obviously, if your dog has discovered any sort of dead animal when out with you, then a good cleanup is essential.

26 Things You Need to Know Before Traveling to Morocco on Tourism

Morocco is a wondrous, eyes-open taste of the exotic, It’s also an adventure into some of North Africa’s most stunning scenery with the desert on its doorstep and the craggy heights of the Atlas Mountains beyond. Morocco is also a journey into a timeless, tranquil world of cute coastal villages, colorful-painted towns that cling to hillsides and remote outposts defended by fairytale adobe forts. This fascinating country is a merging of the African and Arab worlds, and is steeped in age-old customs. It’s no wonder Morocco has been feted by artists and writers for decades and continues to enchant all who visit.

However, there are 26 things you need to know before traveling to Morocco on tourism:

1. More and more people are visiting Morocco every year.

2. It’s a beautiful country

3. Morocco is one of the peaceful countries in the whole world with a lot of places of interest to visit especially when you are embarking on tourism.

4. You don’t need any vaccinations before you go to Morocco, except you decide on your own, but it is not compulsory. Although it is advisable to vaccinate yourself to avoid being infected with rabies and hepatitis etc, but in the past, no one has had trouble with health issues.

5. Exchange of Moroccan Dirham to 1 dollar is 10.08 Dirham

6. Morocco is a great travel bargain. Relatively speaking, the rate of the Dirham is good, and it’s steady, so there shouldn’t be a lot of surprises.

7. Hotels in Morocco are cheap, good value, and usually pretty easy to find.

8. Visa and MasterCard are accepted at most ATM for cash advances, but remember credit cards are not accepted at a lot of smaller shops. The maximum amount you can withdraw is usually 4000 dirham which is around 370 Euro, 460 USD or 230 British pounds.

9. Once you’re in Morocco, you will need cash immediately to pay for transportation. You’d best go to the first ATM you see at the airport, but don’t take a lot there.

10. Don’t carry a huge amount of money when moving about to avoid losing your money. Hide most of it in your hotel and only take with you what you might expect to spend for that day.

11. Hold a few 1-dirham coins in a pocket for when you encounter beggars. If you can afford a holiday in Morocco, you can afford to give a coin to a beggar. I do all the time.

12. In Morocco, don’t use your left hand to do anything socially important, like eat or shake hands. Moroccans feel that is unclean especially in public, be aware of this important cultural distinction.

13. In Morocco, women often dress modestly in their culture and the Western tendency to want to run around in tank tops and short when it’s hot (it’s usually hot!) is outside their custom.

14. A woman traveling to Morocco should wear long skirts and dresses, jeans or pants that cover the knees, draping tunics, polo shirts, and camisoles that can be worn under sweaters and cardigans. Women generally wear sandals or loafers; rarely do they wear heels.

15. In Morocco, 99% of its population is Muslims. Therefore, the first rule to dressing in Morocco is to respect Islam’s emphasis on modesty. Clothes and accessories are not meant to attract attention or excessively reveal the body. Women should ensure that their clothes do not expose the décolletage, shoulders, or thighs.

16. In Morocco, unless you want to attract attention, it’s best to limit the display of ostentatious jewelry, luxury handbags, and high-end electronics.

17. In general, men should wear long pants with a shirt, ideally a collared one. Men can wear sandals, loafers, or sneakers – whatever is appropriate for the context of the visit. While some boys and young men wear shorts in public, it is less common, particularly among adult men.

18. Morocco is sweltering in the summer months; however, it’s still necessary to cover the shoulders and legs. For women, a loose maxi dress with a light sweater or scarf over the shoulders is a brilliant way to stay cool and blend in with women who wear jabadors and kaftans.

19. It’s not necessary for non-Muslim women to wear a hijab, or a veil that conceals a woman’s hair. Moroccan women choose for themselves whether or not they wish to cover and this decision is largely based on religious motivations.

20. In Morocco, it’s easy to get alcohol at many bars despite the Muslim stricture against it. In bigger cities, like Casablanca or Marrakech, you can find bars and nightclubs where they like to party until day break

21. A travel-insurance policy to cover theft, loss and, in particular, medical problems is strongly recommended for all visitors to Morocco.

22. Driving Make sure you have adequate travel medical insurance and any relevant car insurance if you’re driving.

23. Extensions: if you need to extend your cover on the road, do so before it expires or a more expensive premium may apply.

24. In Morocco, almost all English-speaking countries (with the exception of South Africa) require no visa to enter the country, and visitors can stay up to 90 days, So check with the Moroccan embassy online in your own country just to be sure.

25. In Morocco, it is most likely you will need a power converter especially if you want to charge your cell phone.

26. In Morocco, guys can dress however they like, but women need to dress more conservatively.

Drug Rehabilitation – Causes and Program Methods

Drug Rehabilitation plays an important part in curing patients and helping them to quit drugs and live a happy and prosperous life. Many rehab centers have tried their methods to cure patients. However, they miss the part of social upbringing and mentally preparing the patients to quit drug usage. It is important not to depend on a medical system for these kinds of patients. You should remember that only give curable antibiotics and drugs do not solve the issue.

Many believe Drug rehabilitation program is proving to be a good success in the field of drug cure. A drug disease is preceded in the deep roots of the physical system and creates mental blockage. Here, it is important for a friendly consultation and sessions to understand the patient's issue. It is important to provide them with lecturers, updates on drug evil usage, mock session to self-fight and maintain this stream after the training period is over.

Due to weekly training evaluations, the entire training process brings a lot of positives for these victims. It is important to know that this disease has already spread its wings worldwide. Here, a robust training system is required. There are centers, which update their programs through community needs. They leave no stone ahead to join the league of extra ordinary rehab center. The awareness system is proving to be a big plus in the file of education. Again, the centers have accepted social responsibility to cure the disease. They have also taken up the task of educating victims and their families to boost up their life for having an enjoyable time ahead.

Excessive Mucus and the Allergy Connection: How to Get Rid of Mucus Permanently

Tired of swallowing pills and using nasal sprays with no end in sight? I can relate, I used to be there myself. Four years ago my sinus struggles ended when I became released from all sinus disorders. I will share with you some of the simple things I did whichrought permanent relief, not for me only, but for others also who were willing to go unconventional. Here are some of the things we did that proved to be effective to reduce excessively mucus significantly or totally eliminate it:

The mucus function

But first a word about our need of mucus. A normal amount of it-one to two pints a day-must move through the sinus and nasal cavities and passes every day – to keep our breathing apparatus functioning healthily. This explains why the main function of the membranes lining those areas is to produce mucus. They protect our breathing organs from pollens, dust, germs, foreign particles, etc .; And also explains why a constant flow of clear, watery mucus – not green or yellow mucus – is normal and vital to sinus health. How, then, do we keep our "good sinus mucus" from becoming excessive? Here are some proven tips:

Allergic irritation

Probably most excessive mucus is the result of allergic irritation caused by the environment and exacerbated by some of the foods we eat. Yet, unknown to many, house dust is the invisible culprit behind much allergic reaction suffering, and which sets off the production of histamine – the clear, watery mucus so common during allergy season or year-round if you are allergic to house dust. Try this experiment: place your nose close to the carpet or overstuffed furniture and inhale deeply. If you are allergic to the dust you will know it within seconds: itchy eyes, coughing, difficulty breathing, sneezing, etc. If this should happen and based on the intensity of the reaction and its frequency, you may have to decide whether to try a regular antihistamine, or seek professional help. Sometimes household pets' dander in the house dust is the element causing the problem and can be isolated and deal with.

Foods to avoid

Dairy products and sugar will, in most cases, exacerbate allergic reactions and the excessive mucus issue. I know people who eliminated these two items from their diet for four to five days, and the results were so convincing that they substantially reduced the use of these two foods on a permanent basis. In fact, excessive mucus is no longer an issue at all for them.

Green and yellow mucus

These colored mucus, although very common in some circumstances, are indicative of health issues that need our attention. They are often telling us that there is an infection in various states of progress being cooked by our immune system. One way to make them more tolerable is to drink 5-6 glasses of water a day; To help their passage through the breathing apparatus and to help the immune system do its job. Abstaining from mucus producing foods like sugar and dairy products, as already mentioned, will also help lessen their annoyance. These two mucus should not, as much as possible, be swallowed. One OTC remedy that helps to loosen it so it can be expelled is guaifenesin. Why not try some of these suggestions? The risks involved are minimal while the potential results can be greatly rewarding.

How Genetics affects Obesity

Many parents associate “chubby” with being healthy, but it is quite the opposite. Parents also believe that children while growing will lose the excess weight, which although true in some cases can cause serious conditions to develop, including diabetes in the interim. The chances of weight loss depends on their diet, and their levels of physical activity, as they get older, because if unchanged, will only make the problems worse.

Factors that Causes Obesity

Some obvious factors that cause obesity are overeating, and lack of physical activity. However, emotional problems can also lead people to overeating. Obesity can be caused by genetics, which play a major role in the problem of childhood obesity. If parents are obese, there is a great possibility that their offspring will also face the same problems, which makes solving the problem much harder.

Genetics is the study of heredity, and according to medhelp.org, is the process by which parents pass certain of their genes to their children. These include appearance, height, hair color, skin color, and eye color. Other factors that are affected by heredity include medical conditions, mental abilities, natural talents and obesity.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC), for its part, indicated that genes and environmental factors significantly increase the chances of personal weight gain, which leads to obesity. It’s not a determinant factor for health prospects, but genes and behavior combined, are important factors that leads to weight gain and obesity.

We are what we eat and the biological and environmental factors within and around us affect our lives. It’s our personal responsibility, to change the negative factors in our lives, and work around or deal with the factors that we cannot change, and the knowledge to recognize the difference

How to get rid of hives permanently?

Hives, or urticaria, is a condition, which is primarily genetic. However, it can be eliminated very quickly and easily in the privacy of your own home, provided that you know what you are doing. People with hives have a deficiency of certain amino-acids, which need to be supplied to the body. Once you do that, the condition will quickly subside, and never come back. You can learn more about this type of cure here.

How to get rid of hives?

The method, described in the beginning works quite well for most patients. Doctors rarely help patients eliminate the urticaria completely, simply because they prescribe lotions, designed to treat the allergic reaction. That does eliminate the symptoms, sometimes for weeks, but they come back even more persistent than before. That’s why it is important to educate yourself, when it comes to your own health. The only way to permanently get rid of hives, is to remove the underlying cause – which is a lack of certain chemicals in the body, which can be restored fairly easily. Once that is done, the condition will stop immediately.

People with hives, often have the condition for a couple of weeks, and then it disappears. The reason for that is rarely random though, most often than not, they will do something, they are not aware of, which will cause the hives to stop. That’s why doctors often tell patients, that accurate prognosis is not possible – the hives may disappear in a day or two, or they may persist for months. What often happens, is that the urticaria will disappear in a few days, and then come back in about three weeks. That’s because of the body’s immune system, which periodically regenerates T-cells in the body. Unless the underlying root cause is gotten rid of, the hives will persist and will often spread on other parts of the body. That’s why it is important to eliminate them as soon as possible.

What is Your Relationship with God?

Philippians 1: 9-11 "My prayer for you is that you will overflow more and more with love for others, and at the same time keep on growing in spiritual knowledge and insight, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you May be sincere and without insult till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. "

What is your relationship with Jesus Christ and God the Father? I am not just talking about your salvation, I am talking about your personal relationship with Him now, after you have been reborn. How well do you really know Him, Jesus Your Lord, and God the Father?

One of the ways we tell how well we know someone is how we talk about them. If we know someone we know how they feel or think about a situation, what makes them happy or sad, their likes and dislikes, what makes them angry. What disgusts them or gives them joy. Do you know what makes God happy, what makes Him sad, what disgust Him or gives Him joy? You should, you are His child and you should be closer to God than anything else in this world.

You can know Jesus, your Lord and Savior and God, the Father this well.
How you ask? By spending time with Him. You spend time with God, talking with Him, listening to Him. You do that by spending time is His Word, the Bible. Everything you need to know is right there in His Word, God's plan for you, His provisions for you, what makes God happy, what pleases Him, everything you need to know, is right there is His Word. God is good, And He wants nothing but good for you!

Jeremiah 9: 23-24. "Thus says the Lord:" Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight, '' says the Lord. '

Jeremiah 29: 1-12 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Me, and I will listen to you. "

To strengthen your inner man, your reborn spirit, you must know God personally! You have to know God intimately! You need to know what God thinks and says about things, not what the world thinks or says about things. To have this relationship you have to spend time with God, reading His Word.

Joshua 1: 7-8. "Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. Of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may Observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good Success.

You have to spend time reading and meditating on what you read in God's Word.
When you seek God, seek to know Him better, seek to know His view on things, then you will find Him!

Jeremiah 29:13 "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart."

Matthew 7: 7-8. "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For everyone who seeks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened."

Hebrews 11: 6 "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

Deuteronomy 4:29 "But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul."
To seek God, to spend time with Him, you must spend time reading His Word, talking with Him in prayer, and stopping to listen when He talks to you.

Psalms 63: 1 "O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water."

Psalms 27: 4,8 "One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To bear the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple … When You said, "Seek My face," "My heart said to You," Your face, Lord, I will seek. "

Col. 3: 1 "For that says the Lord to the house of Israel:" Seek Me and live; "Amos 5: 4
"If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God."

The more time you spend time fellowshiping with God, the closer you will get to Him and the more you will understand His truths as revealed in His Word.

As you grow closer to God you will learn to think the thoughts of God, speak and talk the talk of God and not the world. You will learn to walk by faith and not by sight.

2 Cor. 5: 7 "For we walk by faith, not by sight"

As you spend time with God, reading His Word, thinking and meditating on what you have read and studied your faith will grow.

Romans 10:17 "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

And then you will be able to truly please God, because we know without faith it is impossible to please Him!

Hebrews 11: 6 "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

Nothing pleases God more than for us to trust Him completely, trust Him to keep His promises He has made to us.

Deuteronomy 7: 9 "Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commands;"

God has promised us everything we need in His Word, if we are obedient and follow His commands.

Deuteronomy 5: 32-33 "Therefore you shall be careful to do as the Lord your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. You shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has Commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess. "

Deut. 6: 24-25 "And the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that He may preserve us alive, as it is this day." Then it will be righteous for us, If we are careful to observe all these commands before the Lord our God, as He has commanded us. "

When you trust completely in God and not yourself He will guide you and teach you and you will have a strong personal relationship and intimate fellowship with Him.

Meditate on these versions of Scripture:

Proverbs 3: 5-8 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. And depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones. "

Proverbs 2: 1-11,20 "My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth Come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every Good path. When wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion will watch over the understanding; will keep keep:

…. so you may walk in the way of goodness, and keep to the paths of righteousness. "

Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Do you want to be a joint heir with Christ?
If so, I urge you to earnestly pray the following prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Your word says, "… and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out." (Jn.6: 37)

So I know You will not cast me out, but You take me in, And I thank you for it. You said in your Word, "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Ro. 10:13).

I am calling on your name, So I know You have saved me now, You also said, "… that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will Be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. " (Ro.10: 9,10).

I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification. And I confess Him now as my Lord, Because Your Word says, "… with the heart one believes to righteousness …" and I do believe with my heart, I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:21)

And I am saved! Thank You, Lord!
I can now truthfully say, I see myself as a born again child of God!

Glory to God !!!! Amen.

How to tell if you have a pimple or a cold sore?

If you’ve got a small red bump on your face, you may be wondering if it’s a pimple or a cold sore. There is a very big difference between the two.

That tingling feeling

Both cold sores and pimples can show up close to the mouth and they can appear quite similar in their early stages, which can cause confusion. Having said that, they will feel very different and they will also change in appearance as they develop.

Pimples are red in colour and will grow a white top a couple of days after they first appear. They are caused by a blockage in a skin pore. They are especially common in teenagers, due to hormonal changes which result in oily skin.

Cold sores however, have a more blister like appearance and are caused by the herpes simplex virus. Before a cold sore apears, you will often feel a tingle like sensitiveness under the skin where it will eventually show up. This tingle is a clear symptom that you have a cold sore and not a pimple.

Cold Sores are more painful than pimples

Pimples can be sore, but they are not as painful as cold sores. The skin close to a cold soe will normally feel itchy and tingling in the preliminary phases. The blister will then crack and ooze before scabbing, which is a much more painful process.

Where do you get cold sores?

Cold sores usually show up on the lips, chin and around the mouth. They can also breakout around the nostrils and inside the mouth, but this is much rarer. They can sometimes also appear on the cheeks.

Because pimples are formed by a skin pore blockage, they can show up anywhere that hair follicles are present. For this reason pimples can’t appear on your lips, so if you have a red bump on your lips it is most probably a cold sore.

Who gets them?

The bad news is that anyone can suffer from cold sores and pimples. They are very common amongst the majority of the population.

Cold sores are brought on by the herpes simplex virus and are extremely contagious. The virus is easily transferred through kissing, skin to skin contact, and through sharing items like utensils, cups, towels and make-up. Once you have contracted the HSV-1 virus, it will remain in your body for life. It lies dormant in your system until activated by a trigger.

But even if you have the HSV-1 virus, you may never suffer from a cold sore. Some statistics show that as few as 10% of people carrying the virus will suffer from outbreaks.

Teens are the usually the worst sufferers of pimples. During adolesence certain hormonal shifts take place and the outcome is often oily skin and pimples.

The one simple rule to remember is don’t touch them! This is same for both pimples and cold sores.

Squuezing pimples can force the bacteria in the skin pore deeper, making it worse. And popping pimples can cause scarring, as well as spreading the infection to nearby areas of the skin. There are a range of treatments available at supermarkets and chemists, as well as prescription medicines for those with more serious acne.

We’ve mentioned before that the HSV virus is highly contagious, and touching a cold sore is the easiest way to spread it to other parts of your face and body.

Hypertension; Facts You Need

WHAT IS HYPERTENSION?

Hypertension is derived from two root words; Hyper meaning High and Tension mean Pressure. Hypertension simply means high blood pressure. Pressure is the force generated when the heart contracts and pump blood through the blood vessels that conduct the blood to various parts of the blood.
Although hypertension does not mean or result from excessive emotional tension, but evidence shows that stress and emotional tension do cause increase in blood pressure, and if continuous, could be sustained.
High blood pressure is there generally defined as a blood pressure exceeding 140 / 90mmHg confirmed on multiple occasions. The top number (140) is called the SYSTOLIC PRESSURE, and it represents the pressure in the blood vessels (arteries) as the heart contracts and pump blood into circulation. The bottom number (90) is called DIASTOLIC PRESSURE, and it represents the pressure in the blood vessels as the heart relaxes after contracting. These figures measured in millimeters of Mercury (mmHg) reflect the highest and lowest pressures the heart and blood vessels are exposed to during circulation. The generally accepted normal value for blood pressure is 120 / 80mmHg. Above this value but less than 140 / 90mmHg is not considered to be hypertensive yet but signals danger, it is there called high normal.

An elevation of the blood pressure (Hypertension) increases the risk of developing heart (Cardiac) diseases such as Heart Failure and Heart attack, Kidney diseases, Vascular diseases like athelosclerosis (hardening and narrowing of blood vessels), Eye damage and Stroke (brain damage) ).
These complications called End organ damage arise as a result of long standing (chronic) hypertension. But victims of hypertension are not aware, at an early stage, that they have the disease, until these complications start appearing. This is due to hypertension shows virtually no signs / symptoms at the early stage. For this reason, it is generally referred to as 'Silent Killer'.

The damage caused by hypertension increases in severity as the blood pressure increases. Based on this hypertension can be classified as follows:

CATEGORY SYSTOLIC (mmHg) DIASTOLIC (mmHg)
Normal Less than 130 Less than 85
High Normal 130 – 139 85 – 89
Mild Hypertension 140 – 159 90 – 99
Moderate Hypertension 160 – 179 100 – 109
Severe Hypertension 180 – 209 110 – 119
Very Severe Hypertension Greater than 210 Greater than 120

BORDERLINE HYPERTENSION.

Borderline Hypertension is defined as mildly elevated blood pressure that is found to be higher than 140 / 90mmHg at some times and lower than that at other times.

Patients with borderline value need to have their blood pressure monitored more frequently. They also need to assess end organ damage to be aware of the significance of their hypertension.

It should, however, be emphasized that patients with borderline hypertension have a higher tension to develop a more sustained hypertension as they get older. They stand a modest risk of having heart related diseases. A close monitoring of their blood pressure and lifestyles could have been very useful in this regard.

WHITE COAT HYPERTENSION

A single elevated blood pressure reading in the doctor's office could have been misleading, because the elevation might only be temporary. Evidence over the years has shown that anxiety related to the stress of the examination and fear of the result often resulting in blood pressure elevation not kept in the doctor's office only. Infact, it has been suggested that one out of every four people thought to have mild hypertension, actually may have normal blood pressure outside the physician's office. This sort of elevated blood pressure notified in the physician's office is called 'White Coat Hypertension'. Suggesting that the white coat, symbolic of the physician, induces the patient's anxiety and a passing increase in blood pressure. Accordingly, monitoring of blood pressure at home, when in a more relaxed state of mind, can provide a more reliable estimate of the frequency and / or consistency of blood pressure changes.

WHAT CAUSES HYPERTENSION?

The Blood pressure is determined by two major parameters; Cardiac output ie the volume of blood pumped by the heart, and the Total peripheral resistance ie the resistance of the blood vessels through which blood flows. Hypertension is there before an end result of either increased force of pumping by the heart, or constriction / narrowing of blood vessels causing increased resistance to blood flow or both.
Using the cause of hypertension as a yardstick, two major types of hypertension can be described;

Essential Hypertension

Secondary hypertension

The former also called Primary or Idiopathic hypertension is by far the most prevalent type of hypertension. It accounts for over 90% of all hypertension cases. No clear cut cause (s) can be identified for this type of accommodation, since the name Idiopathic.

The subsequent accounts for less than 10% of all cases. In this case, the hypertension is secondary to an existing abnormality in one or more systems or organs of the body. The most common causes are related to kidney and hormonal problems. The persistent uncontrolled use of contraceptives, especially in females over 35years of age fall under hormonal causes of hypertension.

Since no clear-cut cause (s) can be adduce for the most common types of hypertension, as with the case with most non-communicable diseases, we therefore talk in terms of 'Risk Factors' and not causes. These Risk Factors are actions / actions that increase gains of getting a disease. Several researchers over the years have shown that some factors are directly or indirectly related to the occurrence of hypertension. Some of the factors include:

HEREDITARY: High blood pressure tends to run in some families and races. It is believed that some inherited hits predispose some people to hypertension. For example, high blood pressure tends to be more prevalent in blacks than whites.

A family history of hypertension increases one chances of high blood pressure. Regular monitoring of blood pressure becomes very vital.
HIGH SALT INTAKE: High intake of Sodium Chloride (table salt) has been linked to high blood pressure. The condition develops mostly in societies or communities that have a fairly high intake of salt, exceeding 5.8grams daily. In fact, salt intake may be a particularly important factor in relation to essential hypertension that is associated with advancing age, black racial background, hereditary susceptibility, obesity and kidney failure. Research has shown that:

A. Rise in blood pressure with age is directly related to increase level of sat inake, especially in blacks.

B. People who consume little sodium chloride develop no high blood pressure when they consume more, hypertension appears.

C. Increased Sodium is found in the blood vessels and blood of most hypertensives.

Cutting down on salt intake is therefore a reasonable step in preventing hypertension

OBESITY:

A close relationship exists between hypertension and obesity. In fact it is believed that most hypertensives are more than 10% overweight. Fat accumulation in the trunk or abdomen is not only related to hypertension but also to diabetes and hyperlipideamia (excess fat in the body). Obesity can contribute to hypertension in several ways. For one thing, obesity leads to a greater output of blood, because the heart has to pump more blood to supply the excess tissues. The increased cardiac output then can raise the blood pressure. For another thing, obese hypertensive individuals have a greater stiffness (resistance) in the peripheral arteries through the body. Finally, obesity may be associated with a tension for the kidneys to retain salt in the body. Weight loss may help reverse problems related to obesity while also lowering blood pressure. It has been estimated that the blood pressure can be decreased 0.32mmHg for every 1kg (2.2pounds) of weight loss.

The International standard for measuring overweight and obesity is based on a value called BODY MASS INDEX (BMI). This value is derived by dividing the body weight (in Kilograms) by the square of height (in Metres).

Ie BMI = Body weight (Kg)

Height2 (Metres).
Note: 1ft = 0.305metres.
For adults, a BMI less than 25kg / m2 is preferred.
25 – 29kg / m2 is considered overweight and above 30kg / m2 is Obesity.

LACK OF EXERCISE:

Sedentary normal individuals have a 20 – 50% higher risk of developing hypertension when compared to very active individuals. Exercise lowers both systolic and diastolic blood pressures. For example dynamic exercises such as brisk walking or jogging, swimming or bicycle ridding for 30 – 45mins daily or 3-5times a week may lower blood pressure by as much as 5 – 15mmHg. Moreover, there appears to be a relationship between the amount of exercise and the degree to which blood pressure is lowered. Thus, to a point, the more you exercise, the more you lower your blood pressure. Provided you do not over strain yourself. Normally, a particular type of exercise is started, and typically built up to a satisfactory level over time. Regular exercise reduces blood pressure, burn out unnecessarily fat and also makes the body healthy.

ALCOHOL AND SMOKING:

These two institute the social factors most related to high blood pressure. People who drink alcohol excessively (over two drinks per day) have one and half to two times increase in the frequency of hypertension. The association between alcohol and high blood pressure becomes particularly noticeable when the alcohol take exceeds the above per day. Moreover, the connection is a dose related phenomenon. In other words, the more alcohol consumed, the stronger the chances of hypertension. This, probably will explain the prevalence of hypertension in populations where alcohol consumption is a habit.

Although smoking increases the risk of vascular complications (for example, heart diseases and stroke) in people who already have hypertensive, it can not be directly linked with increase in the development of hypertension. Neverheless, smoking a cigarette can repeatly produce an immediate, temporary rise in blood pressure of 5 – 10mmHg, but a permanent increase can not be established. However, it is known that some substitutes in cigarette, eg nicotine, alters the composition of the blood and also affects the blood vessels.

Smoking and alcohol control are integral part of any effort towards the primary control of cardiovascular diseases in any population.
STRESS: Although the role of stress and other emotional factors in hypertension is difficult to define. However, it is known that stress causes a physiological rise in blood pressure and this could have sustained if the stress becomes chronic (prolonged).

A STICH IN TIME

Since lifestyle components such as dietary patterns, obesity, physical activity, alcohol and smoking have been recognized as important risk factors, steps to reduce the occurrence of hypertension or to alleviate the condition (for those who are hypertensives) should involve lifestyle modification.

Dietary configurations include restricting salt intake cutting down or cutting out alcohol, reduced fat consumption, and reducing weight if overweight. The American Heart Association recommends a daily consumption of less than 6grams of table salt for normal individuals, and less than 4grams for hypertensives.

A regular exercise program such as brisk walking, jogging, swimming, cycling etc
For 30 – 45mins daily or 3-5 times a week could be very helpful.

Conclusively, it is very important to remember that the only way to know if one's blood pressure is on the high side is by taking your blood pressure frequently. Normally, your doctor would do that for you. But for a more consistent and reliable monitor of blood pressure, a self-operated blood pressure monitor is critical. Being very handy and always around, it allows you to follow up your blood pressure regularly and report an increase immediately.

Finally, always remember the WHO slogan "Know your Blood Pressure, if it's high have it treated". A healthy Heart adds life to years.
A stitch in time, they say, saves nine.

Chlorine's Effect On Eczema

Our skin is our body’s number one defense against germs or getting sick. It is a protective layer that keeps us healthy and protects our organs. There are so many factors that affect the health and condition of our skin. Having eczema can make this a little more challenging because the moisture that we need isn’t produced as it should be.

There are a lot of external factors that affect an eczema flare up such as weather, lotions, makeup, soap, and laundry detergent. One factor that you may not realize that is so harmful to your skin condition is water. Most, if not all, city water is treated with chlorine. Chlorine however is hurting us and not helping our water. Here are some of the effects of chlorine on our skin and eczema.

First and foremost, chlorine dries out your skin. This is bad for people who have eczema because their skin already is naturally dry and has hard time maintaining moisture. It can also dry out your hair as well. Swimming pools have a lot of chlorine in them to ward off bacteria, and everyone has probably had that dry feeling after a day of swimming.

There isn’t as much concentrated chlorine in your bathing water, however over time the chlorine’s effects really add up against your skin because the levels of chlorine are still pretty high. After showering you can feel itchy, dry, and notice a rash. This is an uncomfortable feeling to have every day.

Showering is more harmful than swimming in a chlorine treated pool. The hot water from your shower opens your pores, to cleanse, but the toxic gases caused from the steam and heat are easily absorbed by your skin. In addition to drying you out, you can prematurely develop wrinkles. To ease the itching feeling after your shower, you can use lotions or eczema oil to alleviate the irritation and bring some moisture back. There is also an option to install chlorine free showerheads. Chlorine free water is the best defense against atopic dermatitis and wrinkles.

There are other harmful effects of chlorine in the water you bathe in and the water you drink. Chlorine is used to fight off bacteria in our water, yet it causes so many other detrimental health problems. In addition to causing atopic dermatitis or making it worse, it has also been known to cause cancer. If you drink tap water that has been treated with chlorine you run the risk of hurting your bladder, stomach, and breasts. It can also really flare up asthma attacks which are commonly associated with eczema. Chlorine, over time, can damage cell tissues.
