Healing Candida Albicans Fungal Infections Using Coconut Oil

First, just a short rant about my own experience with candida albicans and what I feel is the major reason why so many of us suffer from candida overgrowth.

It is my belief that one of the major causes of candida infections is the use, or overuse, of antibiotics. As a child I had to take antibiotics for several months to get well enough to have my tonsils removed. Because my mother was not told that the antibiotics would destroy the beneficial flora in my gut, I have spent most of my life since then with digestive disorders, yeast infections as well as a plethora of other health problems related to candida overgrowth. It was right after another prescription of antibiotics when I was 34 years old that my health completely crashed. I suffered with chronic and debilitating symptoms that I didn’t understand until after hundreds of hours of research online. I started seeing a naturopathic doctor and it was discovered that I had systemic candida overgrowth.

So this is a very personal topic to me. Candida overgrowth took away a large portion of my life and the lives of many others. What is so frustrating is that this can be avoided if doctors would tell their patients that they need to replace the intestinal flora that is destroyed by the antibiotics they prescribe.

There are, of course, other causes of candida overgrowth and some of them are: poor diet (eating too much sugar), poor immune system, birth control pills, steroids or any other immunosuppressive drugs. Different forms of candida can manifest as: athlete’s foot, jock itch, vaginal yeast infection, oral thrush, ringworm, digestive disorders, chronic fatigue, anxiety disorders, weight gain, etc. A large number of the health problems in America today are caused by the fungus Candida albicans.

Now to the topic of healing candida with coconut oil. Coconut oil is one of the best remedies I have found. It has a medium-chain fatty acid known as caprylic acid. Caprylic acid has been used for some time as a natural remedy for curing candida. In fact it was one of the remedies I used. I didn’t, however, know that it came from coconut oil until the last couple of years. Since then I have kept coconut oil in my diet.

Caprylic acid is not the only active ingredient in coconut oil, there are three active ingredients. They are, caprylic acid, capric acid and lauric acid. These are medium-chain saturated fatty acids. You can find studies about these fatty acids and how each one of them is able to kill Candida albicans by researching them online. There are some studies that also show how coconut oil is more effective than perscription drugs.

What I love about coconut oil is you can use it both internally and externally. It is used topically for healing fungal skin infections and internally to kill candida in the gut as well as systemically. It can also be swished around in the mouth to cure oral thrush.

In areas of the world where people eat a traditional coconut-based diet there is almost never any yeast infections of any kind. Having coconut oil in your diet will help you keep candida and other fungal infections away.

In using coconut oil topically simply apply it directly on your skin. It absorbs real well and fast. You can add vitamin E to make it more effective. Internally you can take a tablespoon full of coconut oil and just eat it plain. I do this everyday. It really tastes pretty good. You can also use coconut oil to cook and to put in your smoothies. Bamboo Craft – Plane Bamboo Weaving Technique

The natural, durable and attractive bamboo not only makes mats, baskets and other handicraft but is also used for high-grade packaging, decorative panels, curtains and window blinds. The bamboo window blinds, in fact, not only give a classic touch to the interior decor of a room but keep it cool as well. Bamboo craft is based on its specific weaving techniques. These weaving techniques can be classified as plane weaving, dimensional weaving and mixed weaving. To begin with, a bamboo crafter must know the plane weaving technique for bamboo craft.

Plane bamboo weaving creates two dimensional or plane products like woven mats or carpets. It is different from method of making three dimensional products such as baskets, lampshades, figurines etc. Before weaving, the bamboo culms are processed as follows to make them apt for weaving.

Processing of Bamboo for Weaving

Green skin of the bamboo culm is removed by scraping off its green surface with the help of a blade. Force is applied evenly along the culm surface to ensure uniformly colored bamboo.

The upper edge of the culm section is flattened to facilitate stripping. A sharp knife is used to cut evenly around the edge. The culm section is divided into slivers of an equal width. The number of slivers depend upon the diameter of the culm. Cutting is done carefully from the edge downwards along the length of the culm. The slivers are then completely separated to form individual pieces.

Slivers are striped into fine layers. The knife is held with the blade horizontally against the upper 1/3 of the cross section sliver. First cut is made by nipping the blade into the sliver. Then the blade is placed 0.5 to 1 mm away from the first layer. After repeating the process for a required number of times, the layers are peeled off. The thickness of the layers depend upon the need of the intended woven product.

Layers are separated into fine strips by using both the hands. The strips may be lighter or darker in color from one another. They are arranged accordingly.

The bamboo strips are then dyed and bleached with the help of various materials such as dyes, sulfur, hydrogen peroxide or other chemicals. Soaking, boiling, washing, air drying etc. methods are used for the purpose.

Plane Weaving of Bamboo

Before moving on to the process of plane weaving of bamboo, there are two basic terminology that need to be understood by the novice bamboo weaver. These two terms are – Warp and Weft. Warp is the set of parallel bamboo stripes providing the foundation on which plane weaving is done. They are positioned lengthwise on the work bench or work area. Wefts are the bamboo stripes that are inserted widthwise under and over the warp in order to make a design.

The basic technique for plane bamboo weaving is that of weaving dots into pattern. It involves combining two colors of bamboo- one light and other dark- along the warp and weft of the bamboo strips. Color intensity and contrast in the patterns are created by changing the density of the dots woven under and over the warp.

There are many other traditional methods of bamboo weaving that are also interesting to know.

How to Have Optimal Health and Energy – Seven Key Steps

You have my respect for taking action to learn how to improve your overall health. You can discover and learn how to do just that…change and improve your health… and enjoy the new levels of energy and vitality that will simply come your way.

I have identified seven keys that can and will improve your health and energy.

The seven keys that I share with you are not meant to be understood in a literal, “This is the most important key, and this is the second most important key,” manner, or practiced in a linear fashion. Rather, these are dynamic principles, beliefs, values, behaviors, etc that work together simultaneously and synergistically.

With that said, here are the seven keys!

Health And Energy Key # 1:

Begin With A Well-Formed Outcome

Simply put, your brain and your mind (conscious and unconscious) are “outcome focused,” by nature. You will always be using your brain and your mind to be moving toward an end target, a goal, a desired outcome…so choose each one wisely.

Now, when you think of something, anything, such as your health, keep your mind on what you desire, and off of what you do not desire. And the key to keeping your mind off of what you do not desire is to…keep it on what you do desire! Period. See, hear and feel that which reflects what you desire. If you get off track, away from what you desire, to what you do not desire, simply bring your mind (your pictures, sounds and feelings-more on this later) back to what you desire.

Some individuals might find it challenging at times to craft a well-formed outcome because of conflicting beliefs that need to be “cleaned up.” More on that later.

Health And Energy Key # 2:

Create and Maintain A Useful State

You are always creating and entering into, and operating out of, a “state…” a mental, emotional, spiritual, physical state. You have no doubt heard someone say, “I am in a really good mood.” Or, “She is in a really good frame of mind today!” When I use the word “state,” I am describing what is going on with you on mental, emotional, spiritual and physical levels…your total being.

Now, if you get anything out of this article, get this, and you will be ahead of the game: Never plan your future, or begin to solve a problem, or do anything, without first ensuring that you are in a useful, appropriate state for the outcome you are going for. Period.

Remember at time when you were in a conflict with someone you love, perhaps even with yourself! Did it help matters if you were in a less than useful state? By “less than useful state” I mean, one that is composed of, say, impatience, irritability, cynicism, lack of empathy, “I want to be right,” etc? What might have been the difference if instead, you had created and entered into a state that is composed of perhaps patience, caring about the best interest of the other person, curiosity, flexibility, creativity, genuine self-regard, etc?

Now, this article cannot fully coach you how to do that. You might want to have one individual coaching session to learn how to easily do what I am describing. You can also practice doing the following so you can enjoy learning how to create a useful state for yourself.: Imagine that your desired outcome is to persuade someone to your point of view on a matter. Now, remember a time when you communicated very effectively and got your outcome of someone being persuaded to your perspective. Imagine seeing a movie of that experience, and then “step into” the movie you are watching, and relive that experience for 30 seconds or more.

Now, step out of that movie, and remember a time when you were communicating with someone and you were very patient with that person, taking the time to really hear them out and to understand them on a superb level. Make a movie of that, and step into that! Then step out of it and remember a time when you were communicating with someone or a group of people and you demonstrated great flexibility to the point of reaching your outcome! Whatever “obstacle” came up, you were flexible in responding resourcefully to it. Now step into that movie…

You get the idea, right? This is one easy way to build a useful state for reaching any desired outcome.

Again, always make sure that you are in a useful state, one that is appropriate for easily and enjoyable reaching your desired outcome.

Health And Energy Key # 3:

Invest Yourself In Healthy And Rewarding Relationships

The people that you surround yourself with, those you let into your space, will affect you on all levels. It is as simple as that. Choose wisely. Perhaps it is time for you to let go of some relationships and to begin some new relationships. You are not doing anyone a favor by allowing them to adversely affect you over a period of time. That is not love, it is something else.

Know what you want from your relationships. Learn how to communicate with those around you, especially your loved ones, in such a manner that you effectively enhance the quality of your relationships, for all concerned. Learn to master the states you are in! When it comes to powerfully effective communication, the state you are in will be paramount. In your communication, be clear and be effective. Communicating effectively with yourself and others is the greatest single skill you can learn and develop. Invest your time, money and energy in doing so and you will be rewarded beyond what you are capable of currently imagining.

Health And Energy Key # 4:

Be Flexible

“Flexibility is the key!” The key to what? The key to achieving your outcome, the key to persuasive communication, the key to rewarding relationships. Flexibility is being able to do something different if what you are doing is not getting you the results you desire. Flexibility will get you to where you want to go with your health and energy. If what you have been doing has not gotten you the health and energy you want yet, do something else! You might be aware that there is no one “diet” or exercise program that is useful for everybody. You can find and use what will work for you…for now. And you can be flexible and change what you are doing as you find what works even better for you, moment by moment.

Health And Energy Key # 5:

Place Your “Health And Energy” As One Of Your Top “Life Values”

Tragically, “health and energy” is rarely a top value with most people. And I say “tragically” because of the fact that your values will drive your behaviors, and your behaviors will drive the results you create. So, it follows, that to engage in healthier behaviors, you will need to make sure that your health and energy is one of your top values. If you want to learn how to easily change your values, to actually choose which ones you want to drive your behaviors, you can do so in one coaching session. You will then have the ability and the tools to prioritize your values as you move through life. Remembering that your values will drive your behaviors. What is that worth?

Health And Energy Key #6:

Personal Congruency

“Congruency” is when your beliefs, values, behaviors, emotions and states are all lined up… and going in the same direction! You can easily understand how important this is. If for example, on one hand, you believe that you can greatly improve your health and energy, and on the other hand, you believe that doing so is not really possible, or that it would be quite difficult and unpleasant…well you can see the conflict, and you probably would feel the conflict as well. The stress that these two conflicting beliefs generate is unnecessary and can be eliminated with the appropriate tools and skill set.

Much energy is dissipated because of incongruent values and beliefs, not to mention incongruent behaviors! And when you learn how to “clean things up” and develop more congruency, you will immediately enjoy the results in your health and energy. Doing so is worth your investment, whatever that might be for you.

Design Your Life With Wisdom

And what is wisdom? It is contemplating and understanding the consequences of your choices and behaviors, not just for the immediate future, but for the distant future as well!

Now, my experience as a psychotherapist and Life and Business Coach has taught me that consistent improvement is more reliable than the so called overnight successes that you hear about from time to time.

Your health and energy…your overall well being, are all worth your patience! Because it is far better to take small and incremental steps into increased vigor, health and energy, than to take on too much, too soon. Your body and mind will thank you for exercising wisdom. An effective personal trainer said in an interview that “Most people try to do too much, too soon, get discouraged and then throw in the towel.”

It can be different for you. Be flexible enough to find out what works for you, in what increments, and then move forward with patience. Your patience and persistence will take you to your desired outcome of greater health and energy. Period. Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare? Enough said. And if it isn’t… remember that Rome was not built in a day. Or a month for that matter. And yet progress began with the first action taken, and continued with each step after that. Each step brings more of what was desired.

Depression and Anxiety Drugs Side Effects

One may consider taking this antidepressant known as Zoloft to curb their anxiety and depression. I ask myself, does he / she really know what the root cause for his / her anxiety and depression is ?. If one does, is he / she willing to experience Zoloft side effects which I consider to be depressants?

Zoloft side effects include ejaculation failure, dry mouth, increased sweating, dizziness, headaches, tremor, rashes, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, agitation, libido decreased, nervousness, insomnia and anxiety again. This goes to show that when you want to diminish depression, you are also destroying your unhealthy body with this Zoloft.

Before taking Zoloft make an effort to be acquainted with the core source of your anxiety or depression. When you know it you can be able know other alternatives instead of experiencing Zoloft side effects. You may think that depression is a major disease and hence opt for medication, but it is not. Depression and anxiety affects everyone at different durations of time. The important thing is to know how to cope with these conditions rather than seeking a treatment which ends up worsening instead of fixing.

Dentist Anxiety – Overcoming Your Fears

Approximately fifteen percent of the population in the United States suffers from dentist anxiety, also called dental phobia. It is not a made up phobia but as with other phobias, it is actually based on irrational fears but there are ways to overcome this phobia. For some, this phobia is debilitating. It can cause people to skip dental checkups or even not go to the dentist at all.

Causes of dentist anxiety

• Prior experience-if you have had a painful dental visit or you have gone with someone to the dentist that had a painful experience it could cause you to develop this phobia during future visits. The actual procedure was not painful but it could have been due to the insensitivity to your anxiety that aggravated it.

• Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or anxiety disorder-there are some that suffer from PTSD or general anxiety disorder and having dentist phobia is just one of their many fears they suffer from.

• Abusive history-if someone has a history of being a victim of emotional or sexual abuse they may associate similar fears with they are under the care of an authority figure, like the dentist. Even though there is no incidents of abuse the dentist may appear abusive to them, especially if it is a stern dentist.

Ways to overcome dentist anxiety

• Choose your dentist-look for a dentist that will accept your anxiety. Do not just go to a dental clinic or pick a dentist out of the phone book. You can also ask family and friends if they know a compassionate dentist. Since dental phobia affects many people there are dentists that specialize in treating those with this problem. Make your first visit a brief appointment so you can get to know the dentist and let them know of your dentist anxiety. If the dentist seems to brush off your anxiety or does not seem to care, look for another dentist.

• Using sedation-if you are unable to sit without fearing the worst the dentist may prescribe or suggest sedation. This can be oral, inhalation, or intravenous (IV) sedation before any treatment. It will help to relieve your anxiety and you will be conscious while the treatment is done. You may have to bring someone along to drive you home as you may be advised not to drive for a few hours to give the sedation time to wear off.

• General anesthesia-there are cases where dentist anxiety is severe or with young children, this may be used for difficult dental procedures such as a root canal or tooth extraction. It has to be done under extreme caution and is often used as a last resort of sedation is not working.

Manganese Content in Tea

Manganese is an essential mineral for health. We should be able to get an adequate supply of manganese from our natural diet, yet many people are deficient in this critical mineral.

Deficiencies in manganese can cause the following health problems:

We know that exposure to manganese through the lungs and skin can cause toxicity. In particular, welders are at high risk for manganese toxicity. In short, anyone who regularly inhales dust and fumes from metals that contain manganese is at risk. This includes many occupations, since manganese is routinely added to other metals to inhibit rusting.

However, there has been a question about whether manganese in our diet can produce toxic effects. While there are no known reports of manganese poisoning severely from ingesting too much dietary manganese, researchers wonder if it was possible.

One study reported by the UK Tea Council explored the possibility of manganese poisoning simply through dietary exposure. The researchers considered the levels of manganese that are sometimes ingested by avid tea drinkers, since tea is a significant source of dietary manganese. Could, they surprised, someone get manganese poisoning simply from drinking too much tea?

The study looked at 24 tea drinkers, each of whom drank at least one cup of black tea each day and compared them with non tea drinkers. The amount of dietary manganese consumed in a day was determined by interviewing the participants regarding their diets. In addition, their blood was collected and evaluated for the level of manganese in the bloodstream.

The study concluded that even when diet levels of manganese were significantly above the recommended 11 mg per day, the high manganese level did not show up in the bloodstream. Those who drank significant amounts of tea each day were at no greater risk for manganese poisoning than those who drank no tea at all.

The body is able to process diary manganese differently than manganese that we are exposed to through the respiratory system. In addition, excess dietary manganese is processed and excreted from the body as part of the digestive process. Therefore, we can not get manganese poison from our diet, even when it includes a lot of tea or other significant manganese sources.

This is great news for tea drinkers. We now know that we can consume our favorite beverage without risk to our health. And, this is good news, since tea has begun to take the forefront as a way to protect health and reduce aging.

In recent years, scientists have begun to discover the many healthy properties of tea. Tea is a powerful anti-oxidant, helping to reduce premature aging and lower our risk for certain serious diseases.

Green tea has also been shown to help regulate blood glucose, keeping it at a steady level. This finding may show significant potential against the fight against diabetes. If consuming green tea can help regulate blood glucose naturally, it may help prevent Type II diabetes. As time goes on, we may even find ways to use green tea to help treat those who already have diabetes.

Green tea also seems to have potential in the fight against Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's disease is caused by a deficiency in dopamine. This deficiency is caused by both the body's susceptibility to make dopamine because the cells that produce it begin to die off, and by the body's ability to properly transport dopamine from the area of ​​the brain where it is created to the area of ​​the brain where it Is used.

Being a vegetarian is not for everyone. If you are doing it for fun, you probably will not last for long. It is not because it is hard but it a life style change or habit change. And anything changes to your life style require motivation. You need to find out the reasons why you want to become a vegetarian. The rest is easy.

There are many beneficial reasons for being a vegan. Some of the reason include cutting down on the fats, food poisoning and even weight loss. Meat is a great source for protein, it also contain a lot of saturated fat. By avoiding meat your are cutting out a lot of fats that are bad for you and replacing them with food that are healthier and contain some good fats. This greatly reduces your risk of heart disease. There have been studies that shown vegetarians tend to have a lower risk to heart disease. Every year millions of people suffer from food poisoning, many of them for eating meat that are not stored, prepared or cooked properly. Which create a breeding ground for bacteria to grow. Cutting out meat consumption reduces you risk of food poisoning.

Do your homework. Read up as much as possible before you start. Check out a couple of good books in the library. Go to online forum, share your ideas or just post your questions. There are tons and tons of website available on the internet. Have a notebook with you. Look for some good recipe. Go for the simple one for starters. Do a recipe or two for a week. if it does not suit you, try another recipe. Trying making vegetarian snack food for work. There are many food that are a great substitution for meat and best of all the food taste just as great.

Until recently I did not make that distinction. I once published an article about all sorts of addictions which were no more than habits.

A relatively small percentage of the population is addicted to alcohol. Heavy drinkers just have the habit of drinking a lot every day. Smokers have the habit of putting something in their mouth up to 400 times a day. Americans have the habit of driving wherever and whenever they feel like it in gas guzzling vehicles. Gamblers have the habit of ruining their lives to varying degrees.

Heroin is addicting. Nicotine is not. Heroin addicts have violent physical reactions when stripped. True alcoholics have severe reactions, too. Heavy drinkers can go without a drink and not react physically. Cigarette smokers do not get sick when they run out of cigarettes. Drivers may complain but do not get sick when forced to stay home. Gamblers just get bored.

Recognizing this distinction, we can see where hypnosis can be the perfect cure for any habit we want to change. We develop habits early on to compensate for some received lack in our selves or lives. They, and the reasons for them, get buried in our subconscious minds.
