The swelling or inflammation of the tonsil due to a virus or bacteria is referred to as tonsillitis. It occurs mostly among children and is usually accompanied by symptoms such as pain in the throat area, difficulty of swallowing, headache and even fever. Other remedies for tonsillitis may include antibiotics such as aspirin and penicillin. They are required most especially if the tonsillitis is accompanied by fever. For simple home remedies, gargling of apple cider vinegar can also work in alleviating the pain and reduce the inflammation.
