Herbal Cures For Gout? How to Treat Gout Naturally Without Doctor Prescribed Medication

0

Most of us who suffer with frequent gout attacks think that the most logical conclusion is to get doctor prescribed medication to help treat the condition. However, did you know that there are herbal cures for gout that work just as well as their prescription based counterparts?

Well, the jury is in and it is good news for those who suffer from gout attacks. A recent study of 120 people who had frequent gout attacks were asked to rate on a scale of 1 to 5 how effective prescribed medications were compared to their herbal counterparts. The results? Of all the prescribed medications, Prednisone scored the highest with a 4.4 rating. Anturane scored the lowest in its effectiveness for treating gout.

In contrast, both gout care and Urinex scored comparable results as an effective alternative to prescription based medications like Prednisone. This is significant because it means that gout sufferers don’t have to spend their money on high priced doctor prescribed medicines and can opt for alternative herbal supplements for the same results.

Other alternatives to high priced prescribed gout medicine?

In the same study, the respondents were asked to rate several natural remedies to gout on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the most effective. Out of the 120 questioned, the most top natural remedy for those polled was cherry juice, followed by baking soda, celery seed extract and finally activated charcoal. All of these herbal alternatives were on par with Allopurinol, Probenecid and NSAIDS in terms of controlling gout symptoms.

What does this mean?

The point of this article is to show that there are alternatives to using steroids and other prescribed medications for gout and that most of these medications, when compared side by side, aren’t more beneficial than treating gout using herbal supplements and common natural gout treatments that many view as “folk medicine.”
