Snoring is a very annoying, and in many cases health-altering, problem. It is not just annoying, but in many cases it is a sign of more serious health problems. Sleeping in any position other than your back may also help. You may need someone's help to train you to stay off your back if you are used to sleeping on your back. If that does not help, you can try sleeping with your head elevated over your torso so that air can flow more freely. This does not mean lining with your neck bent forward, which could exacerbate the problem. Special beds are designed to help people do this, but for a cheaper alternative you can try sleeping in a lounge chair or with a tall pile of pillows behind you.
