Most people suffering from GERD have been smoking or taking in a lot of nicotine in other forms. Smokers have to reduce their smoking and those who have been taking nicotine in other forms need to reduce the intake of nicotine. Reduce the intake of foods that have a lot of acidity in them for heartburn no more, ensuring that you have taken a balanced diet too. Fruits and vegetables that are known to be high in acid levels need to be reduced as well.
