Diabetes is a very dangerous metabolic disorder that is affecting millions of people worldwide. There are two types – Type 1 is congenital where the pancreas is unable to produce insulin or just that the insulin produced is too little. In Type 2 case, the insulin produced is insufficient to control the blood sugar level or that the body has developed resistance to insulin.
This undesirable state is simply the case of having too much sugar in your blood and this will affect the whole body system. Uncontrolled sugar level in the blood can cause havoc to the body. Sugar is acidic and this excess will affect the performance of all cells in the body. Undesirable complications of diabetes include, stroke, blindness, amputations, and kidney failure. It is desirable that you are aware of the symptoms of diabetes. This will add in the prevention of this metabolic disorder. Then you will not have to resort to a diabetes diet once diabetes sets in.
However, all is not lost if you take proper actions to eliminate diabetes. These include the following:
1. Take action to select the correct foods for the daily. Once you identify the acceptable foods for consumption, the quantity that you take is immaterial. You can get as much as you want of the approved foods and stop taking the prohibited foods.
2. Exercise at least three times a week. A simple half an hour walk will be sufficient as exercise will invigorate the body, minimizes illness and it enhances insulin action in the body.
3. Take supplements. A lot of people are depriving themselves of this range of nutrients that goes a long way to energize you body. Supplements contain nutrients which are required to enhance the many metabolic pathways in action including the energy production cycle.
